"Offense for the Tampa Bay Lightning team. That's going to be Steven Stamkos Stamp coast is original Pass to corn is probably should have been a shot, Dave As he dumped it to the middle. I don't know. He's been around a lot better player than I ever was in the league. Scott this team on the board. Temple leads one Nothing here early. He and his line of quiet for the first four games since the first five on five point for the line. Here's Brandon Point. Flying up his left side of backhanded. He missed the net. Brayden point was shot out of a cannon had a lot of speed coming through center Anthony Bull villian of the offensive zone for the Islanders, his wrist shot blocked away by breaking point. Victor Hedman again. The top scoring defenseman of the playoffs, plays it up. The wing comes right back to him, and he'll walk it right in front of his own net. Dangerously, but put it off the glass and out. Out with the channel. Let's go Lightning here in Tampa. Home team off to a terrific start. Steven Stamkos, his sixth of the playoffs, just 45 seconds after the opening draw and the 30th career playoff goal for the Tampa captain. Savard playing across and Gord has it On the left side, he'll turn it back in deeper. And so far to move it up The wing Barkley Good road keeps it deep into the Islanders zone. But and I see here good row had not gain the red line. So when I sing On Tampa. 47 into the game has one lightning right off the bat right off the bat. And of course, how important that is to Tampa. They're 10 and one when scoring first goal. The Islanders have managed to win five games without scoring the first goal Soccer Little surprised that I read that The first goal seems to be more important to Tampa than it does to the Islanders. The Islanders for whatever the reason they've yet to lead after the first period at all. In the playoffs in 2021 Gordon to the right wing corner. Barkley. Good wrote the play it and now Matt Marcel snaps it out here is Kyle Palmeri often Noah Dobson comes right back to Palmeri. We'll throw it in deep one quick note on the Tampa defense. It is Eric turn at the odd man out tonight course he took the hit the other night from Matt Martin left. The game briefly came back and finished it, but he's out. Luke Shannon, and the only change either team is made to their lineup Now for the first five games, Lenny looking to gain the line broken up by Ross Colton, the Islanders will regain possession. And pull it up ahead. Matt Marcel on checking Cal Clutterbuck. He'll tip it in surrogates you have played around. And now an outlet.

"Star players going mano a mano and Paul George was great. Until the last two or three minutes of the game. Um, to his credit to the Clippers credit, Lou Williams made a big three. Who else? Somebody. Oh, Terence Man made a big three to cut a 10 point deficit down to two with just a couple of minutes a couple of seconds to go, but Devin Booker got the last basket of the game. And it's under able to hang in, and Booker had a 40 point Triple double How far that guy has come up in a short period of time. He's always been a star NBA player. He has reached the superstar level, but the way that he's played, it's close between me and Trey Young, who has up their status in the NBA more In this postseason run. Um, but the Sun's walk away with a game one win, John Major break in and he dropped it right into the middle of the cup. So kudos and credit to him and we've got a great NBA game going on right now. Hawks and Sixers three minutes to play in the fourth quarter Phillies up 65 64 I don't know that either team has been up and I've been on the air, so I haven't been able to, uh, keep a title. No progress in my own mind of the score going up and down. Uh, I don't think either team has had more than a five point lead. Uh, it has been close to out a lot in this series. We've seen shoot. We've seen the sixes blow to 20 point leads. We've seen the Hawks actually give up a leader, too. But both of these teams are here to play tonight, and we've still got about 15 minutes. Basketball to go with the sectors by a point. Let me get a couple more calls here. I've got open lines. As a matter of fact, if you want to give it a last shot, Hop on board 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. I do have wisely from Jersey. Hello less Fuck! How are you Last night was fun. And I'm not just talking about the Nets game. I also had to get I would be missing. I didn't talk about the Islanders. Uh, what a performance in the final fireman. You can talk about Ryan Pulock block. To me. This was about the final five minutes, dialed his defense put on a yeoman effort against a talented offensive hockey club. They just got it done. Matt Martin was fantastic. That may feel was covering CU chovav and you had Victor Hedman being blocked. Those were the highlight of this type of place. You need to cut it out to the type of place. You need to give a response up to the Lightning scored two goals to start the third. Those are the place you need to answer up to what the Lightning did. On Tuesday night, the Islanders responded, and story with this. They pull all the stuff. Last night to maintain that it wasn't just one poor won't boy was just to highlight. But it was everybody. But if it if Ryan Pulock doesn't do it, you're going into overtime. Yeah, so I I don't know how you can De emphasize what he did. I don't know how you don't point out that Varlamov cut woefully out of position and put the pressure on his teammate to pick them up the way dead Now he did and give Bullock all that credit. Um, but I I don't think you can minimize that play. It was the play of the game, Pop You probably why? I think probably because I want the game on reply. I was at work. And I came home at midnight, so it's kind of different. When you're watching a replay that you already know the score and everything, so you don't get that active feeling. That's why he going to work because no, seriously I hate going to work with the games of arms because It's kind of it's tough because you know, once you know the school, you don't have that natural reaction. I would probably it's a differently Everybody saw it live And as it all unfolded, But at least it will watch. I'm going to announce this draft party. No, not drop. I'm going to an island is Middle Party tomorrow night. At the East side to watch the game and I'll be it bellows to watch the game and fun. We'll have a good time, but I'm actually surprised by what you just told me. And, um you didn't get a chance to watch your life. So you have to watch a replay there. After which I know you're die hard. I own defense. I expect that out of you, but You couldn't help but find out the score. Uh, did you you had did. Was it your personal intrigued that you had to know if I knew I was going to go back and watch it there after I would have done everything and you where it works, so it probably wouldn't have been all that difficult. I would have done everything to not know how the game went and then watch it, Uh, full Full board afterwards. I don't I would never do it the way you did it know the score, then go back and watch it there After what happened was I got a d m from follower. He told me you see, he offered me congratulations and I took my D. M just to see if my column Game three was published and regulations DM. Alright, So you're blaming social media for your knowing you were going to try not to know the outcome of the game prior to I just had I took my DM because I need to go treat my calendar I wrote about Game three, so That was the point. But not as the best a tree and you know what? Listen, The always responded as the lighting No. Now this is gonna be a series. This is not going to be a cakewalk for them, just like this is not going to be a cakewalk. With the elders. It's a toss up at this point. The one advantage Tampa has is that Yeah, because they had the best record. They get two of the three games in their building, so they have an advantage. But either team could win at this stage. You know, in hockey, this is not like the NBA. The home court matters. Player for the players. I don't and that's the fight, Dad, but yeah, but you need in the end. I just was not worry about Game seven bye before they've been dis in Game six because I want to get this all where and get some rest. Anything can happen. Game seven assuming the Islanders get eliminate these guys, the better, But I'm anticipating in Game seven. I really do. Jody. I cannot. He was the house is somehow find a way to win tomorrow night. You've got to think the lightning will have an answer. Rent the old wife's versa. So you don't know what? Yeah, no. See, I I I I disagree with you. I think either Tampa is going to win in seven or the Islanders are going to win in six empty island is gonna win. I think they need to win and win these next two games. I don't I don't see Tampa losing a game seven and they're building. Yeah, You're probably right. Listen, they got Sanders government tomorrow night. Listen, they had to be at least two at O'Meally Arena. There would you cannot just been one An important thing to temper did not been too at the Coliseum. You would they want to straight there, The Islanders would have had problems. Yeah, the series serious If they'd come back to win last night's game series would be over Tampa would win. But because the Islanders did what they did, they got shot and it the stage of the season. If you've got a shot, that's all you can ask for. Think about what happened Tuesday night. The lightning they put the Islanders at their own game. Here's the thing about the light and Jody..

"What happened there? I don't know. It's Clutterbuck. This. The first shift clutter bug's been on With Matt Martin. And, uh is it a penalty? I have no idea. No referee has gone to the penalty box. I don't think I'm not there. We could see they did blow it dead. Clutterbuck fell down. Now the officials are conferring. Let's see what happened. Are they collided? So I don't think that warrants a penalty. But who knows? I mean, he's not even really looking at him. He's trying to stay on side. I see them pointing in the offensive zone for the face off the light. So I think this is going to stay 55. With the clock down to three minutes and 30 seconds left in the first overtime. Score knotted the one where he actually had a goal taken away due to a successful offside challenge in the second period. Both teams are really digging in defensively in this game. "I know we're GONNA be here but I could tell you what. Tangent by obsession goes on after next month year amid. I made me you like you know what we can only do slip from now on who knows and that's art of my manic mine so I have no clue. I just know that like right. Now I'm in the middle. Oh a bunch of loveless knives I enjoy making but I don't enjoy sell those little double-edged ones we've got drop ars in sheet knives and dance around Bob's catalog right now but doing it for fun. A lot of our people contact me like Oh oh this customer of yours really likes. Here's my budget. Will you make him something. The other `nother wiser this guy probably really appreciate it. Honor shootout so that and then I'm not having to sell at market it because I feel Kinda skis e that way like his dating the shoulders of giants in that standing behind him with knockoffs. So it's not comfortable with it but I like making them because it extends by ability. It makes my toolbox of a more. I get what you mean I get what you mean by saying. You're you like making them you to like selling them. It's because it's not exactly your design but but Yeah Yeah there are a couple of people people. While there's one shop in particular that makes outstandingly beautiful other people's lives that that I follow on instagram. And I've I've often often thought like I go to the website and I'm like well that's just about as much as the real thing so I think I'll just hold out for the real thing the guy that you're probably talking about I call numerous times and I'll be like I will say as the just because on the most favorable light that you've had so far but he's a hell of a guy. A guy has an amazing amazing knife maker and I've had to call him say. Why isn't this MEEROPOL? Shit what am I do. How do I get this right? And he's very forthcoming with his information. And he does specialize. There's loveless knives and I would say hands down you know we'll see it it just in case we're not talking about the same cannon can number not not okay okay. Kazak could make a loveless night better than Bob Africa's facing at it nominal Baker and a great guy. But he's what whose catalog. The law is not limited but specializes in the loveless catalog but he does such a fantastic job. You will pay levels prices for business. But in a way way of the loveless catalog is Kinda like the great American songbook. It's it's it's a bunch of great tunes that everyone from Billie holiday to Frank Sinatra to whomever sang and cover and get to get to put their English on and to me. You know. There are certain knife designs that kind of reached that status to me the Your version of it was the big bear but the the loveless fighter the double edged. Oh good Lord I mean is that not the coolest knife ever ever ever with a sub health. Oh my God yeah I mean it is a maker you have to go down that path you have to say well can I do and it's to me. It's like I. I treat him as rites of passage like that. You can go back to your shop and do the things you do hopefully with a little bit more below two right Yup Yup. It's also like being a painter Tur- and and doing your copies of data or whomever you know like a master okay. So I'M GONNA I'M GONNA do over mirror today. I'm GONNA try Brian Paint Vermeer. Of course I'll never paint for mayor but in trying you learn so much it's gotta be the same thing. The other day I was I was like thinking about out talking with you and I was a coward. I sum up his outfit and I wrote it on the back of this card. I was a little card and I forgot about it until now but when I asked you where do you see vehement in the future. You said well You know it's hard to forecast beyond a month because of your whims and I remembered I labeled your your uh vehement knives as a boutique traditional combat knife. Attilio may I mean is that not right not got to put a point on it. I mean in a way. You're you're like the sorry you're like Coco Chanel with your with your assistance and you'll pump out a couple of really like outrageously awesome things. And then when he won a mass produced. Do you figure out okay all right. I'M GONNA stop with that analogy there but you get my plant. I guess a perception is reality. So Yeah I was hoping you'd like Mad Max with a drinking problem. That's how I would you know what man like. It's funny because I see this. It's all the time you you look at the art. And then you look at the artist and I love to see you know you know I see interviews with you and I see interviews with other knife makers And there's a lot of character actor and there's there's you know there's a lot of gravity there and and and and rough around the edges. And then you look at the knives and it's like refined refined You know this is a re-emergence theme for me. Artists and art you know are are different than the person who creates the thing is not the thing vice versa and very contrast. That's we try to impose that even on the worse than sell I would say the earliest example of this is back office not to just keep revisiting. Bob Wasn't shop. Red Liners liners on a knife is complemented contrast stands out wrote so a lot of times more standard finishes we'd like to counter Polish one-surface versus another you us of the stretch leads are perpendicular each other. Just make things pop a little bit on a on. A rough tiger lips apocalyptic looking knife. What road near Polish Toilet Choi in there just to give that little pop and that is that you know I was gonNA be Zoya arrogance? Consider myself an artist bats were the artists is dead but work. It's you want to look that contrast in there because I recognize that there's a contrast between my works at my personal yes and an element of surprise is absolutely necessary for a for a for something that approaches art. I'M NOT GONNA call an I fired because it's got got purpose other than other than being appreciated. You know So how do you. How do you get a vehement knife? How does one how does one find and actually actually acquire one? I know there aren't tons of them Because they're all handmade so what's the best way to get in touch with you. What's the best way to get our hands on your work? Sixty eighty four thousand dollars question. It's not by design. It's not by throttling brought activity and keep ears to be in this kind of vaporware that nobody can get gift after the secret. Handshake is just making fast as we can. I mean up until the time that we went live grinding in the shop. The best way to get a vehement knife is is going to be get on the LT tradings mailing lists the. We've heard everything way down to have one dealer is one mouths to feed. It makes it much easier it unavailing lists of otherwise of facebook is antiquated zealots. Getting is our number one source for real time updates in our group the vehicle commits syndicate. And if you join the syndicate we kind of have a program going and keep it pretty small. It's only about twenty five hundred members. We have whoa over ten thousand on our vantage. But our group B. Keeps Ball we keep it intimate in the syndicate has its privileges and called Shit and that's where we announced release dates that's announce upcoming models and we have our own private sale group G. Y. F. B. The bill yourself facebook because they they were down on knife sales pretty hard we wanted to separate all are group's themselves but in there you'll see a few Bob Dole secondary prices are astronomical As much as people paying for one of my nights. But that's just what the market does but yeah so I would say the best places is is to get into the syndicate on facebook at. That's going to get the most real time information release dates drops. Well Matt Martin Martin Congratulations for your success. Thus far on vehement knives. I think you're you're killing it and just I mean I just drool over the stuff year putting putting out. "We saw the new contract that Austin Matthews signing this week, and he's to be up where somewhere around that number somewhere around nine and a half the ten and a half a year. And you know, what if you're a team like the devils that have a lot of cap space. You know, that's the guy. You gotta keep I think. Waibel fan for a rival team. But at the end of the day, I can sense where there's a really quality oriented players that. I would love to have a mighty mega tell you that for the other team that they're playing tonight. The islanders enders Lee has really stepped up his game over the last two weeks. I mean, he is definitely the leader of this team. There's no question about that. We were talking about Matt parts L, and he is he's the future. He's the exciting future for the islanders. But Anders Lee their captain is certainly still shining even in the absence of their former caption, captain Johnson era. So it's a team that's planned for something this year. And it's amazing. Like, I said at the opening just the impact that Lou Lamoriello and Barry trots have had on this team. He's identifying the right guys. He didn't make huge splashes. He brings brings camaraderie play on the same line. I young guy like DAL coal is now with them, and that has been an impact line for them, of course, bringing back Matt Martin putting him with Zeke is and quarterback. Matt martin. That's eight seventeen number one in our hearts. Yeah. Okay. Right. So he is a guy that of course, made they formed voltron again on that fourth line in two guys that looked a little bit lost stop calling the fourth line. They don't like that. Well, okay, how many fourth lines actually start every game? How about this all call on the second? I live has. That's why don't you just call them a line a great line. All right up the line of Suzuki's quarterback Casey can get a little bit of a big head. If you're not careful, so I've noticed that gotta keep it on on an even keel played softball those guys. That's just me to make a mistake or you to call them.

"So my question to you to how many soldiers would this get in trouble if they had clear beer Friday, they got a water bottle at noon because they're just starting the weekend early and it's actually beer. How bad would this before our military. If we got our hands on this, not that bad because we still have thought. Can we make it not smell. List, then you start to get worried. But other than that, I think might be winter from of the throwback machine. Winter would be in big shovel because you can easily tell that it was Dr Pepper and his Camelback. So I think that he would be all right with fucked, but that that's the way back machine one One or two. or two. Other than that, I don't think so. I wanna tell people Kate ni- on high haters at been having a great string of guests. Like if you like stand up comedy, we've kinda shifted the direction of the show where we had. We had Kelsey cooked this week. We have San moral coming up dance dance odor. Ronnie Chang's coming up like we're basically having a who's who of stand up comedians. If you liked that kinda shit tune into high haters out going to be honest with you. The first couple of times, man, Kate were like trying to figure out what we want to do with the show. It sucked back and listen trash, but we have figured it out. We have put in more effort and figuring out what our purposes in our drivers. We have found that. So if you haven't given a listen in a while because you stopped whenever it started, stink back now. Go listen to it again and I think that's about it. "This one. He gave me Ryan Reeves. He said he's the toughest biggest duty NHL. So it's inevitable. Patrice Bergeron team guy wants played with punctured lung, so he's a guide platoon, Brian Boyle guy played in the NHL leukemia, so it doesn't get any tougher than that. Brent burns guys sicko just look at them. You see him running out. You run the other way. Teeth is air beard would make a mean special forces or navy seal. And then. Chara who's the biggest in the NHL is while everyone's afraid of him. So that would be my squad. So who do you build one of the first ones that came to mind was Charles for sure. He's a big man. We'll take him. I'm gonna have to actually thought him. I'm going to. Puked. Actually not that, but I'm gonna pick a few teammates here because I feel like that's the safest place. So. I would have picnic letty before he shaved his beard. He's just had to shave off. So it doesn't look as mean anymore. Cases, zeke's. He's one of my best friends, so I I know he'd go to war with me any day. I don't know how good he'd be, but I know I know he would run away. So some said for that good. I'm gonna have to take martyr. He'll be upset if. After that, the I think Reeves would be a pretty strong pick. And I got one more. One more. I'm gonna go with a hometown. Hometown boy, Zack Kassian. He's, he's from where I'm from, and okay. I grew up with him and he's got a, he's got a dark side to too. So I know he'll be all I know he'll be in the thick of things with me. I guess we're ready to go to war. So Matt and Sydney, thank you so much for joining guys. Thanks for Canada teaming up with us. We still appreciate that. "So we, I mean, I feel like we met kinda. It was a bunch of different organizations that Matt felt really strongly like he felt strongly about and they always say, you know, if you're starting foundation like that to always kind of figure out like hone in on one specific cause and then that was kind of from there like we had, you know, our sponsors are Tito's and their, you know, their slogan is Tito's for dog people. So we like they've really helped us out and there's different. You know, everything's kind of everything we were doing pretty well boils down to mental health. So who like, okay, let's take away. People would always ask what he raise money for. There'd be an hour, long story about who we are donating, they're, they're, they're okay. We got to come up with. Overwhelming. Exactly. And and there's a bunch of different things you can get dog sports, not just PTSD. Yeah. Mental, Sara, what's the motions support? More depression. People have seizures. They have dogs as well. So all these things kind of tie back to mental health obviously meant to health is big one right now is well, you're seeing more and more people even athletes. A lot of athletes rose, Kevin. It's everyone focuses on veterans and it's not just veterans and so many people, and it's been encouraging to me to see a lot of professional athletes coming out now and saying, hey, I've struggled with mental stuff too, and it's like we always say there's no shame to the mental health game. Yeah, not a big deal. It's like going to get your toothpicks going to get whatever you wouldn't let that stuff get bad. So why like why would you do that too? But it's hard to get that motivation. And I feel like a huge motivation could be these service dogs and having somebody who just loves you unconditionally and has your back and like the best under no circumstance, you come home and your dog's not exciting. Are you leave for ten hours and don't tell someone we're going. Some people will be upset. Other people dogs, no problem plans. Don't Russell for me when I walk. Affairs and the on Instagram. You can see these two dogs at Sammy and artists twos. It's the Matt Martin FD n so Matt Martin foundation. You can look them up on Instagram, and I just wanted to say too, I love the juxtaposition of you are like the enforcer on the ice. You are known as one of the biggest hitters in the league. You take kids for other people you hit for other people. You are like just crushing it out there on the ice, and then you look at your personal life and you're like this soft. Yeah. Up. So I got a soft spot for the big mean dogs that everyone kind of. Guys got a Rottweiler. Oiler. Just under the misunderstood. Misunderstood the dog. Obviously Sydney grew up in Long Island. Yeah. So you were very well acquainted with what happened on nine. Eleven. From what I understand your family's had new people that were affected on that day, Matt. Was there any sort of inspiration that you wanted to help veterans and servicemembers or was it strictly because of the folks that said, I have always kind of had a strong support for the military, either military and your family out? My my family, my grandpa was not. Okay. My dad's dad was in World War Two. I'm Canadian Cindy. Didn't know that we all thought on the same side. Actually sit real quick brother. Champs is like we were on the same. Doc to back World War chance. Yeah. Blonder moments. Yes. Governor told me to ask you to name all the Canadian provinces. Oh my God. Well, you think about that matching, sorry, continue. Yes. So I just I've always kind of. Supported them. Right. And I mean, all right. So you with the islanders. You've got traded to the Maple Leafs now you're back with the islanders. So I mean, maybe it's the the proximity to FDA y NYPD. And it's crazy to me. I, I wasn't time square for new years one year long before I met Sydney, what What the the hell..

"Yeah. So my dad's foundation is the boomer size and foundation. It raises awareness and money for cystic fibrosis, which is a genetic disease that my brother got her has a gun or is currently twenty seven can't. I don't even know how all day. And how old you are. I just turned twenty six. But yeah, so the life expectancy when my brother was born was the average age of eighteen or fifteen, and now he's completely surpassed it. It's a long. It's a fatal lung disease also affects the digestion and the pancreas. And there were ton of drugs coming out now and gunner is a living breathing example of somebody that can live with the disease hung out with gone yet. Have you wouldn't even know he coaching hockey and you know, a lot of CF patients to our super active. But basically, my dad's foundation has raised over hundred and twenty million now, I think it is for cystic fibrosis, and it's not just the money that we raised for finding new drugs and whatnot. But it's also we donate scholarships to kids that have CF and you know, schools scholarships, so you get to see lives being impacted while also trying to find a cure which is kind of, I think, what. Matt was saying before it's cool to see like money at work or or you know things at work and how it impacts people directly instead of just tossing money somewhere. I mean, you're almost as just like you expected to have that as part of your life. There's always been there been my life always. So. You know, it's, I think people always tell me that it's so incredible. And yes, it is so incredible. But I think because I'm so used to it and I was just kind of thrown into it. I just never expected anything less. And then Matt, you lean on Sydney and her family to guide you in your philanthropic effort for sure. I attend a lot of their events of sleet and no, they run unbelievable events. There is a ton of money in you just try to learn from them as much as possible in favor of questions. All ask governor fife to run all the ladder. Gunnar I, it's been crazy to just watch garner ninety six or seven years. Something like that. Trouble now. But garnered just the new medicine and everything that's come out earlier this summer we went in to the city for mom's birthday. It was like a ninety degree day and they say, what? If you have cystic fibrosis, it's like breathing out of a straw, anything out of a straw. So we're walking. He's like, we'll just walk to the train from where they live, and we're walking and I'm, I'm dying. And he's like, okay. This need some of this medicine at this because it's I'm dying. I can't walk too. I can't sit on the train. I can't walk through the city. I'm having a hard time and he's just cruising through. And it's been amazing to see how he's responded to allow the new medicine that's come out and but they continue to to grow as a foundation. Now they've been pretty open with me and where they started, where they are now in all the tricks of the trade that they learned. That's where eventually you wanna be it step by step, and I'm excited about these next two service dogs. The first ones we've actually trained ourselves. The first guy I two were dogs we bought and sent out now are trying to kind of do it all on her own. Just grow that way. And I'm sure they'll be some trial and error along the way. But now as long as you can continue to help people in, like I said, the New York community continues to to donate right and help my cause. And every time we do an event, we raise more and more money cheer. So. And you really focus you think in than than foreseeable future on the service dog she has..

"Have done so many different things for so many people, and it's been really interesting to see all the things that you've done, but we have you on today because you're working with service dogs. Can you tell us a little bit about that foundation stirred? I think three years ago, three years ago kind of learned a lot from, obviously her dad and has found Asian, and just my time in New York spent seven years here before we went to Toronto and start spending my summers here when I met Sydney and we have free time in the summer. So I got to the point where. New York spin. So good to me and really welcoming me the islanders family, I guess. And I just wanted to give back in find ways to help have a great people helping me with my foundation. Is that like a prerequisite to be a professional athlete, you gotta have some sort of fundation or charity that, you know, I just think you want to give back and some certain way. Obviously the team does a lot of things as well. We have different events throughout the year, but I started kinda wanna do my own thing when we started off pretty small, I guess where we're giving money to different organizations doing that. Why pity widows and children's fund? We're doing the boomer size and foundation worked with the school, a CDS in in Long Island, that's for autism down syndrome, gotten treadmills in those smart boards and things like that. And then I think it was last year the summer before certain mixed mall up, but blends. We wanted to not were doglovers obviously, we wanna have instead of just dish in the money out every. We want to have a better impact on where it's going in, who it's hoping and we did a service dog. Name lacks actually that act the the stored in city gave it to a family and to just see the fact that the dog had on the the servicemen was unbelievable in just how he responded, how much he helped him from when he didn't have the dog walk to the city. And then once he had the dog on the leash, how much more comfortably was. So you really see how much how much dog can help people suffering with PTSD or any mental health issues in ever since then I've kinda want transit transition more to the dogs in the mental health aspect. And we have two dogs in training right now. We sent a dog up parkland after the shooting for. A young boy who is obviously having some. P PTSD of what happened in even him just to see him how happy he's been with with the dog. We sent him. The dog's name was Bruce Bruce. We sent Bruce. He was a German shepherd end. No, we get pictures every now in then a them spend time together. So screen we have a trainer here who actually worked with our dog Jack's. How does military or service dogs for living? It's ES training, Steve. He does it for us, and so we have to Trump movies. We have every job on the Dow now he's with all the dogs, but. We're trying to German shepherd and Doberman right now that will soon be off to. New York. I responder one f..

I'm glad we got a little ladder after we go kind of serious Senator McCain, but you can't really talk about Senator McCain and not be like legit. You can't be like, but he looking to shit in Puerto buddy too. Look into our Senator McCain goofing our where we were, it's funny it's no. Yeah. Those eyebrows. They were kind of crazy, right? The thing about eyebrows as we're doing a full shock jock episode tonight, gang Lou. All right. Let's do it interview. Now. Here I wasn't end this one, so I'm gonna listen to with you before it starts. Can I say your cons addresses it? One caveat concent- dresses it when it starts, but a no offence to anyone else we've had on here. Best-looking guests we've ever had. I felt like I felt like a guard boil. Not kinder's more handsome than met Martin in my opinion. Oh, Sidney, probably the most Hannay female, but you weren't there with Kinsey. There's something about when you walk into a congressman's office and he has the blue carpet. There's a puppy walking around him, general Patton, all of his. His flight pictures when he's in his flight suit is pictures of him in Afghanistan. And he has like this little thing where he's voted the most eligible bachelor in DC that do could get it. Getting a little sweaty in the. Texas with. But anyway. Yeah, no, Matt, Martin Sydney, Cise in Sydney, obviously, Matt is is Mets fiance. But Matt, Martin runs the Matt Martin foundation, which is now raising money to provide service dogs to veterans and first responders. So listen to them tell us all about that right now. And before we do that completely. I've also reminded that Martin's are small rodent that live in Alaska and they make wonderful coats. So if you wanna be a trapper get up with Martin's to to the weight, it turns out that a lot of trappers live in Canada, and that's where Matt Martin is from right can believe it plays on the islanders now. But all of this get to the interview. Thanks dax. Right. Dogs Schiff. Thanks. All right. Now on euro blog, thirty. We have an offensively attractive couple. "Want to, but the military stuff is a different thing. On the other hand, get talk about guns after sandy hook. I felt like from a human side, it was too soon because I look at the pictures of Meghan McCain weeping over her father's casket and know that that's a real person in there and there's a real fan. So I just felt like give it a little bit of time. Yes, absolutely. Talk about right and wrong and a death gets politicized, but I did feel like it was too soon to be with the speed of the political process. Now in the new scape, if you miss that opportunity to say, hey, not everything that he did was gold. Because when a guy like McCain, we see it all the time with people that we were friends with who were killed in action. Everything that they do becomes perfect and they were awesome, and they did all everything about their life was guess it. It was McCain, and it was Lindsey, Graham who were the primary beaters of the war drums for us as they in Afghanistan and Iraq. Those are things that need to be mentioned. Because while he has those great service, he has no. Problems continuing to send young men and women to have ghanistan to Syria to up the what's going on in the Sudan, like he has no problem with doing that. And I think it's worth mentioning because he is so revered for his military expertise, partly because of he was he was captured and he's a hero, and he has those things in light of that. I think it's very appropriate to look at his political stances and say, you know what? You are great American hero, but not everything that you said was perfect foul talk about, right, you right foul. I'm just give it a day or two lady. I think I just like give it a day or two, and then it's mine and like I deleted the tweet, not take the take back. I don't take take back. I think that him. I think he should address the fact that she said he was heir of that. It was intrinsically racist. What she was saying that he was Muslim g US Saudi Arabia as the example calling him an Arab where I'm from in the south is akin to calling somebody Muslim. And then he replied, again alone, it's not gonna terrorist for a lot of he's not only. A bad guy. He's not calling him a bad guy even if he was Muslim that should be addressed. I have no problem with saying that again and again, and again, the problem is that I know in our line of work when you have a nuance take like that. I didn't want it to appear that I don't have respect for a first Senator McCain because I certainly did. I just don't think that he was perfect at media after somebody like him, dies wants you to believe. I mean, you don't necessarily need to vilify him and really go in on the guy. That's why that's why I deleted it was starting to turn into that. I don't wanna be a part of something like from leftist Twitter, like, yes, even this guy with the purple heart believes that center games a of ship, no, because to tweets below a tweet below that. I said that if you were referring to him as songbird McCain, I think that's incredibly fucked up. I still think it's fucked up that what we've done to the two most prominent senators in the United States government that were Vietnam veterans are John Kerry. And Senator McCain, and both of those their service was completely integrated by the media at one time or another, whether it was swift boating of John John Kerry or calling McCain songbird and the far right movement that started that songbird shit is fucking ridiculous to have the odd acidy to say that somebody who deny going home after being in prison camp for three and a half years of songbird is unbelievable to me. Unbelievable. I mean, all that drama makes me wanna pull up a seat and get some t- what's songbird speaking of seats though Assan they used songbird as. They used songbird as like a way to say that he was almost like a leaker like he would anything that they wanted. If they needed information about the government, they would go to John McCain to get it, which you know constant like Kate to whenever you go to sere training, you know, for a fact,.

"So he he knew that he didn't want to deal with that backlash. So why not even just do that from jump street and just just leave it alone. So you don't have to deal with all these people to begin with. Even if you don't like the man, he, he's dead. He can't do anything. Do you anymore in your view. So just let 'em recipe's fully well, Trump hates veterans that got captured and he hates ones the die, even more. That's just not his Cup of tea, but you know, McCain was a frequent Trump critic and even in death has final, has final address to everyone was kind of to me, it wasn't a jab at Trump. I think it was a general statement that everybody needed to hear, but he said, we weaken our greatness when we confuse our patriotism with tribal rivalries, we weaken it when we hide behind walls. Balls rather than tear them down when we doubt the power of our ideals, rather than trust them to be the great force for change. They have always been, we weaken our country and I feel like Java Trump about, but I'm saying it's not kind of proved it with the tribal rivalries, right that him not honoring McCain by doing the right thing with the flag was petty. That was like a dump tribal my team. He spoke out against me this Bubba, that could have been a chance for him. Trump actually do something good, and he big surprise. And this isn't just me. You can say, oh, she's left. She's right. She's whatever I don't care. I wouldn't care if Trump as a democrat, whatever that was just fucked up like it just it was a slap in the face. I thought so pretty. I mean, I think that basically sums it up. I haven't seen too many veterans on even on the far right side being like, this is okay because above all he was a prisoner of war and you did all those things. It's fair to say that was bullshit. That's only 'cause I mean how, how many people spent five plus years in a prisoner of war camp, not many, so you know, really got a a, not only that, but have like a silver starred yet who bronze stars, two purple hearts. He pretty decorated very own right captain. He turned his navy captain. Oh, six turned down a general point because he wanted to run for the Senate which you won in stayed there for thirty six years of intially like running for president twice becoming the Republican nominee for president at which time I remind you even throw his very eloquent last letter. He advocated for building a wall on the Mexico border too, so he can against it now going forward then. And that's one thing that I wanted to dress because I had a tweet that I tweeted shortly after his death because there was a tweet at win, kind of viral about John McCain, shutting down this criticism of President, Obama being an Arab during that. Count hall, bait, right, or ten. I wanted to talk about that for a minute. Okay. I don't think that it's inappropriate to say at the time of somebody's death who was in public service like McCain, what he did wrong in public service. I think in in fact, I think it's the most apropos time to do it because if not the legacy of somebody who you disagree with is going to become, you're going to become sort of complicit in. It's like to me, it's a Ken to saying, we can't talk about guns shortly after sandy hook because it's politicizing the event when you are Senator your death is politicized because you are everything that you're going to stand for is out there in the open. I think criticizing him for his stances is totally fine. I think criticizing him for his votes that he had in the Senate is completely fine. I do not. However think that criticize him for being a prisoner of war and making him not to be an American hero when he was wearing the uniform of the United States is on board. I is the policies all you..

"All right, big week and politics big week and basically everything military related because there's a lot of debate this week on flag advocate, and that's because Senator John McCain died at this point is about a week ago now that you're listening. And so all the funerals are taking place. All the memorial services are taking place, but I wanted to get your guys initial thoughts on the the big flag fiasco because there was a fiasco, it was just the asko, especially in people who are listening. Yes, I can. So what happened basically was whenever a Senator congressman or above passes away, dies. If we don't wanna, use, euphemisms is dead shit. They fly the flag half masses directed by the flag of the US. Flacco dictates that the day that they die and the day after at a minimum, the flags across the nation, every single. Federal post every single flag in the country is supposed to fly at half-mast President Trump abided by the flag code in the minimum standard that is there in and you fluid for that period of time. Now, tradition lately, like to include the two senators who died while they were serving in the Senate when President Obama was president, he, they flew until they were in turn in that had been like the tradition that until they're intern till they're buried, they go, no matter how many funerals are going to have and Senator McCain's having shit ton of funerals. Yeah, let's be honest. He's gonna shit done funerals lot. He had he had one memorial service in Arizona at the capitol rotunda there. He's having one at the naval academy and one at the capitol building. So there's three that he's gonna have their large skill. Joe Biden gave address at one today. President Obama's gonna give an address and President. George W Bush is gonna give an address them. So it's a big to do. There was not not just Democrats though, not just Democrats were upset. Republicans were upset that the president, but the flag up at the White House right away soon as he could. It's back down now, but the veteran foreign war, they issued a statement saying, please honor this man. He was a prisoner of war for five and a half years. Not only that, but serve the Senate for thirty six years of the Senate. And that setting the scene cons. What was your thought about it. As we've seen more than a few times now it appears that President Trump cannot put differences aside, which is extremely sad. When you consider the life of service for John McCain, Senator John McCain, even before Senator, John McCain, his military service was extremely honorable, full stop. It was beyond reproach. The fact that the man spent five years in one of the most notorious prisoner of war camps. In Vietnam? I would say the most? Yeah. Probably the most. I mean, there are some pretty bad ones in the tree, I mean, from the Vietnam, but from the from. By by far and away was the worst prisoner of war camp. And he had five years there. And as I think a lot of people know he had a chance to leave and he said, no, I'm staying here with my fellow prisoners. So that alone, you take his his Senate career out of the picture because there's obviously people who do not agree with his politics and some of the things he's done while he was a Senator and that's fine. But you gotta be able to put those things aside for just a little bit and give them in his proper do because aside from whatever choices he made in the Senate, he still did serve the Senate for over three decades. So that's a hell of a lot of service. So you put that coupled with his military service, and I think is really a no brainer that you should give him his proper do. And the fact that President Trump allowed his differences with Senator McCain to supersede that is disappointing petty petty petty. Petty petty, Tom petty petty race, car driver, Richard petty. That's what that was. It was pretty. Yeah, it's just unfortunate to see that that even in death, sometimes President Trump can't get out of his own way because obviously he saw the backlash and he reacted as such and put it back down..
