"Allied to start I was bound for you what's all really I do Asian words ruski just tweeted out a few minutes ago sources are terrorists kind of service is planning to start discussing Chicago's GM job with candidates soon a pool that's expected to include several assistant GM's Calvin booth of Denver Marc Eversley of the Sixers Mark Hughes of the clippers and Matt Lloyd a former Chicago Bulls employee of the magic are among others is it Matt Lloyd a guy that everyone was talking about a while ago he's been mentioned and I think a highly regarded around the league so yeah I think you know interesting that kind of show this has considered maybe bring back Matt Lloyd I mean look it's obviously in the initial stages here lots of candidates there but somebody that the bulls organization is very familiar with so yeah does does it give you even more more of a a feeling that he is in charge of everything yeah I think like like who is the guy that was that you know the one of the articles I think it was Casey Casey wrote it about that that the the organization was fond of the guy who was in charge of all the issues Steve Wyman is a highly regarded not just amongst the bulls but around the league as well and yet as you say as you pointed out that Casey mentioned earlier in the week that before kind of show this was named as the G. M. R. I'm sorry the president of basketball ops before he was we've we learned that he would get that title there was word that Steve Wyman would still be retained or have a have a place in the bulls organization we will see a because obviously we also find out earlier today that there's more hirings happening in the bulls front office right now it's not just you know the the the hiring of or I'm sorry the the process of going to hiring a GM there's also been a few others who have been brought in by kind of show this let me pull up the names right here so I'm not here so they brought in JJ Paul who's a New Orleans to be the V. like their cap guy he was formally a guy that was in New Orleans and then also they're in talks to bring in Denver scout pack Conley was previously an assistant GM with the Suns he was obviously with Denver as well as cars of us so you see like I forget who I could have dollar someone yesterday who I don't know if if we had like eight people on the station talk about who carded service was and gave his whole family history and how he came up I don't know if it was if it was win horse or if it was small with us that said look at Calvin booth the assistant GM in Denver because cars of us likes familiarity it's not necessarily he likes people that are going to say yes but he likes guys that he can trust and he likes familiarity so keep an eye out for Calvin booth and obviously what you're asking just mentioned Calvin booth from Denver as one of the free thank you mention them first I think there's a reason he mentioned in first right I think I think it was Mike singer of the Denver post was on with Carmen and your co who covers the Denver Nuggets I think he was the one who brought up the name Calvin booth initially obviously having worked with kind of service in Denver it would stand to reason that if you have a good working relationship with someone you would want to carry that forward as you build your own franchise but that's just me and and that's not the idea of a yes man that just makes good sense if you you know you know somebody's work I think you would want to bring them in to answer all those questions are well then you can go ahead the dancer question am I happy yes I'm happy because they're spending money like they're hiring they just at least are they hired one person already in Congress spending the day in higher JJ poke us supposedly they're in talks with with Connelly with Pat Connelly from Denver they're going to hire a guy who it seems like would be wanted as a another to become the GM for another team so this spending money you know we we've always heard that they're they're cheap we've always heard that you know they have one of the smaller scouting groups there what is there keeping true to what they said they're going to do in doing a full revamp and actually spending money so as long as they continue with that plan I'm happy with it so far Hey have you what alarm have you landed on which side of the kind of show this kind of service fence you're gonna go because I've noticed this because I've noticed that the Dallas sticking with the he's not going estates there and shown on C. H. A. says how is we're being told me like a son right they were told no I'm not going to show that yes and I know I understand the ballots not that you definitely have to pause for a moment before you go with it but find out soon because airborne as he also says that former bulls announcement on the card is always hiring could come as early as today so you would think that if they do announce it will get a conference call and we'll get a correct pronunciation yes the out of that I have to believe that's going to win the first questions that beat reporters hopefully will finalize so that we get Christmas day it's starting to feel good doesn't it like again there's no guarantee of anything but isn't this now starting to feel good especially for a fan base that is been very skeptical about you know what's could eventually happen it feels like if I just keep my perspective is it feels like car show this has been given the opportunity to make the calls yeah it feels like as Adam just said that they're going to expand their front office and and and start to hire some people and and get into the twenty first century it feels like to me I don't think you make these decisions in these moves and remain status quo with the coach I do believe I would be shocked and I haven't been shocked by much in the world of sports in the last twelve months I would be shocked if there wasn't a coaching change you know and it's the one thing that I really look at because I think it's hard for any but like Brian Windhorst pointed out yesterday when he was out with cap he talked about how look I'm like nobody can really predict how this is going to go but on paper this is a good hire kind of showbiz has the resume that you would be looking for in you know a guy who you're going to get ahead of your your franchise to so it all feels good and the one thing as I really thought about it is I like the fact that kind of shows is soul well versed in the international game and the reason I say that is because right now to me the biggest ethnic ma on the ball's current roster is Larry marketing degree and I do believe that because kind of show this was so critical in the international scouting department for the Denver Nuggets you know everything you know he he's been given you know by Kylie a lot of the kudos for what they were in the one that that draft okay okay exactly and like forty something exactly that like like they give him all the credit for that so I have to believe that such kind of service has a strong opinion about Lowry marketing because you still familiar with the international game and he to me is what the bulls like I do you know what the bulls have with our American and waddle I I I don't I don't think anybody really but I'm willing to give I want to see one more spin with somebody else in charge yes and it but look if for some reason the kind of service is not a strong believer in market in and he wants to move on his international background gives me faith that he has good reason to do so and I and I agree that there still be mentioned yesterday that you know trading marketing now would be selling low and I I do agree that that seems likely but if for whatever reason kind of shopper said as you know what I do I'm not a strong believer in Larnaca and I'm not saying that is the case but if he says you know what let's move him now while he still has value because of what he's been able to do in his international scouting background he's somebody I can trust and say you know what I think I think he's somebody can put your trust in that he's going to make a smart decision about marketing and the bulls going fine I mentioned this yesterday there's going to be it feels like a significant difference between the way things were run previously and how they're going to be run now because it was a more cross more a conservative approach it feels like in terms of trades and other things previously now if you go back as I mentioned yesterday and look at cars show his and his start a league with Daryl Morey with the Houston Rockets like they throw a thousand ideas against the board and they open their minds to everything so look I I don't know what the plan is it be foolish to it to to sit here and give you a prediction for what the plan may be but I get the sense that they're going to take an aggressive kind of open approach something that will be markedly different from what we've seen recently and and but that doesn't that doesn't guarantee success you know I like I always like to say don't confuse activity with accomplishment but I'm at least intrigued by the possibility that things will be done differently and I haven't really seen that you know an NBA writer who covers the lead nationally in anyway panned this decision at the polls seem to be receiving kudos from everybody in here for the decision which is encouraging and you know I I'm glad you brought up Daryl Morey because just the fact that that you know kind of show is learned at the foot of Daryl Morey is another I think feather in his cap and something that for bulls fans you can say you know what look you look around the league one of the guys routinely regarded as the best GM in sports because look you know we obviously everybody wants to win titles but part of that is you have to be able to you know landed that superstar and you know in a lot of ways mores but has gone out and landed superstars without having the number one overall pick that's the hardest thing to do in the league is to grab yourself a superstar without actually having you know the one or two pick because generally in in a room around the league the goddesses are few and far between but generally when you have a you know a generational player those guys are usually the top pick in the draft it's hard to unearth gems without having that Daryl Morey is somebody who has proven he's been able to do it multiple times now and the fact the kind of show this learn from him or at least was hired by him and is routinely been given praise by Daryl Morey that to me is another good sign for bulls fans yeah no I I'm with you I'm kind of excited to see now look at it there was questions as to how the hiring process go for car shows but my guess is that you feel more comfortable with the next tires don't you if.

"So an extra bonus podcast for you right now behind the blog featuring fans Francis is out fights has his the one thing I learned animated series out. We have a bonus podcast with Dan coming out later in January. What else have we got them in the documentary? I think the war on bars might be looking different. Yup. Ten dollars t options. We got a lot. We got a lot of things, but the AMA should be interesting because there's a few things that I would like to clear the air on. And I'm sure there's a million questions that you volt your mother fuckers. I did a little. Wanted to get a couple questions from Instagram that we could potentially answer. So I did a I g answers post and the questions are just people like just tell us what's really going on with your divorce. But fuck you that why why do I have to do that? Why you son of a bitch? How often do you see your kids suck by how about that? Just tell us what's going on with you. An interesting question. That's not even a question. That's demand. Somebody thinks that he's actually going to do that is it's crazy crazy older. Boy, my lawyer said not too. Yeah. Because I haven't we you about Nintendo. Matt Lloyd told me I can't say that. Even that even soldier. What was so cool. And that I was like, okay, that's cool. And then he big time day. And that's why he's the cool civil Casey Smith quick case up in this bitch. She wrote a blog about the twentieth anniversary twentieth. Anniversary varsity blues, which means it's the twentieth. Anniversary of the alley Larder with cream bikini, which is an iconic moment a watershed moment for guys and girls alike. Everybody remembers that scene. That's what I wrote that in my blog. I was in elementary school when it came out. So at the time, my I was I have no idea what people older than me are actually up to if this is what they're doing. But if you are male female gay straight by I don't care you. Appreciate that scene. Then appreciate it. Now because of just how well I mean, obviously ends up being kind of sad because it doesn't work out for, but the iconic moment where she's like, do you want some whip cream and then comes out in the way? I mean, come on. I. Ativity point you ever done. I've tried it did not go. So that's why it's done yet. Not really we've all seen the photo. Tricks. That's going viral our. Yeah. Yeah. All of the nobody wants to eat shaving cream fights what happened there cross up. No. No four guy for not. Everybody's these videos now like the commercial tricks, and they don't actually use this. They use motor oil. They don't actually use that they use whipped cream shaving cream. So her her whip cream mckee's so perfectly in place cherries as like your nipple. I mean, it's all so perfect. I would've I wouldn't even be surprised if that was not that was just like plastic that was like solid material that wasn't even like some sort of like a. Fabric and sticky boobs on grabbed my aggressive mood. I apologize. Yeah. It's it's for sure one of those moments that I'm sure a million teenagers at the time went out and tried to do and they were like this is a catastrophe when you mix the food in general..

"Terrific stuff. Thank you for solving. I Peter, right? Matt Lloyd wants to know why do stars group into galaxies with enormous distances between them? Why does the universe look the way? Does I guess what he's saying? That is really big question. Why does he invest look? The way it does. It's also really good question. Why? Why just stars form these structures we call galaxies rather than just being a uniform sea of stars. Universe. The very, very short answer is because gravity made it that way. If we go back to the very, very early universe before stars before galaxies formed the universe, that she was very, very uniform, but it wasn't completely uniform were little differences in the distribution of matter just because of random Sean. So you know this, this base of the university of him. I have a bit more so than average in this bit of the universe over there might have a bit less than average and the action of gravity kind of magnifies amplifies this differences. So the bits of the universe that has a bit more matter than average have a bit of a stronger gravitational pull because of all of the master. And so it will go up more Massar than the less dense regions. And so there's a bit of a runaway positive feedback thing where the more dense regions grow and grow and grow and all the other regions get emptier and emptier an emptier. So eventually fast forward and the universe ends up looking quite blobby with these very, very dense regions which entry tenants galaxies separated by big empty spaces. And that's where we are today. Exactly. Yes, that's where we are today. So these blobby regions eventually once star star, forming these regions eventually turn into galaxies, which is why the universe looks the way it does. Now. That's a pretty basic question. So let's she's only a little bit harder then. So what's the ultimate fate of the universe then? Because it is growing. All the time isn't is getting bigger. As far as the older it gets the faster it's growing as well. So what's the ultimate fate is it just get bigger and bigger and bigger ad infinitum. Thus, very good question. I don't think we totally know the answer to it all depends on what dark energy is doing, and we don't know very much about dark energy at all. It was only discovered in the late nineteen ninety s so we've known for about one hundred years now that the universe is getting bigger and bigger and bigger the university expanding after the big bang. But when astronomers in the late nineteenth went to measure, the rate of expansion is actually turns out against all expectations that the expansion getting faster and faster and faster that there's some mysterious stuff in the universe are seems to be pushing part of the seems. We've called this dark energy. The name for the effect. We didn't really understand what it is, and so it could be that in the very far distant future doc energy get stronger and stronger and stronger in eventually just test universal parts at the seams. But like I say, we've already known about this affect for about twenty years. I think we have a lot more to learn before we can say any real answer. So if the universe is inflating in this way, does this mean then that given enough time when you get your stellar, SCO pound, it could just be a very boring thing that you see because everything could have gone so far away and is moving apart from a so fast that it's going faster than light control to. So you just see black space that could be true to this concept in in cosmological the cosmic horizon. So very much like we have a horizon on earth. It's part of the earth that we can't see because the service kind of curves away from those regions of the universe that we completely can't see because the light hasn't had time to reach is so any light that needs more than the current age of the universe to reaches the light has no chance to reach us. So we can't see it. And as the universe kind of accelerates accelerates dark energy, get stronger and stronger. The cosmic horizon is going to actually get closer and closer to as more things are gonna fall over the cosmic horizon. So as time goes by rush, you're gonna be able to see less and less of the universe. That's a sobering though. Isn't it? "The cdc the employees were also told to avoid four other words that were not lists in that document and those words were fetus transgender evidencebased and sciencebased um so there are different uh accounts of how those words came to be how the how employee's were told about avoiding used of those words but the bottom line is that they were disgust and people who attended that meeting came away with the definite take away that okay these seven words we are not supposed to use them in our budget narratives or they will get kicked back and flagged and we will have to rewrite our documents in the meantime health and human services spokesperson matt lloyd said that the employees had misinterpreted that guidance and that nothing has been banned or prohibited or forbidden that employees from using certain words that this is employees who had misconstrued these guidelines during routine discussions on the annual budget process um and both cdc and hhs have taken great pains to emphasize that their work will be guided by science that science always drives the narrative and to be clear this guidance was only four documents related to drafting next year's budget um and so there has been a big reaction because i think some people have our thinking oh my god these words are not going to be used in any of the research um and that's not true but by putting it in this context of the budget it does then signals um about what you are placing your priorities on um one person told me who uh if at hhs said that uh the employees were told that you know they to find out turn it is but if you can't find alternative it's okay to use the word so the bottom line takeaway for for the people who are right in his budget that is is the bus doesn't want us to use these words so we're not going to use these words and this speculation that you know these are documents that a document that's going to congress and they're asking congress for money and that uh they want language that will be amenable to the people in congress were approving the funds leaders on with us your own komo news a health reporter with the washington post lina i wish we had a lot more time to talk about it is a fascinating article about the words that budget writers are being told not to use.

"The current administration but as in curiosity because it does come from policy analysts at the centers for disease control and prevention in atlanta who were apparently allegedly told a meeting on thursday with senior cdc officials who oversee the budget during this ninety minute briefing they were told that these seven words are forbidden those words are vulnerable entitlement diversity transgender fetus evidencebased and sciencebased now a suggested phrase by the cdc when replacing sciencebased her evidencebased might be the cdc bases recommendation on science in consideration with community standards and wishes and the person who leaked this also says that in other cases there were no replacement words offer the department of health and human services which oversees the cdc quote will continue to use the best scientific evidence available to improve the health of all americans that from ha chase h h s spokesman matt lloyd he also says that health and human services strongly encourages the youths the use of outcome an evidence data in program evaluations and budget decisions good why are we not able to use the words that apply to a given situation now i can see how evidencebased or science based might pin somebody's ears back i gas and i can see how steering away from the words entitlement and diversity might be useful in a really politically charged environment what else do gonna call a fetus what else would you used to describe a transgendered person and transgender and what possible description could use to replace the word vulnerable now again there's a lot of he said she said in with the week that the media has had i don't have any problem taken it with a grain of salt i think that if the cdc is banning language they got to answer for that they've got to answer for that the government of all entities should not be restricting the ability of anybody to communicate plainly honestly and with unambiguous language so if this is true it concerns me a great deal but there are words that i do think should be banned uh not so much scientific language or jargon from inside the government or even i something is as peculiar is the cdc not wanting to use words like evidencebased and sciencebased which is what i want from the centers for disease control evidence and science based work please.
