"Place period. So that's not the same thing that we're talking about with Kevin Harvick. Yeah, I agree. And you know, until Harvick cleared things up in his interview, we could, as I said, from a driver's standpoint, I could have made the argument that he just got into the gas way sooner and way harder and happened to hit the 9 car there. And they were racing for a position and racing for playoff of trying to get through Harvick had to pass as many cars. And if you move in somebody out of white, that was have been the case. And in this case, it was the 9. For me, it's Apple and oranges and here's why. Whether he hit him to move him up to go buy or to recommend tensionally or whether Dale senior rect Taliban to win at Bristol or when Jeff Gordon hit Rusty Wallace for the bumper run or the day I was standing at the gas pumps that he was going to beat the crap out of Jeff Gordon because he moved him for third at New Hampshire. And they told him they could go back all the way back. That's the beginning of racing. That's right. In my opinion is what happened with Logano? And Matt Kenseth had nothing to do with racing. That was not racing. No, that was way beyond racist. Yes. Intentional, not intentional. When you and I are racing for position, I don't care if I send you off into the tools. That's my right as a race car driver. And you're right to be mad. You're right to retaliate. I mean, people don't want to hear this, but if NASCAR got in trouble for everybody who ran into somebody else, it wouldn't be worth watching it. We wouldn't have many yellows. Let them hit each other. Okay, I'm gonna go one step further here. So when I got my license to drive a race to drive a cart road car, I realized really quick that I could outrun the local police, but I could not outrun the radios. So if you are going to do something, don't broadcast it on your radio channel. Because you're guilty already. So we heard the radio chatter. I'm going to get this guy to pay back. It's this assist. Listen, dude. Man. Guilty. End of the conversation. That's it. You know what I mean? Yeah. And I'm going to take one thing and this might be a little alpha of it, but we hear all the time that we won't rivalries in the sport. And I don't care what sport it is. That's good for sport, you know. Now, intentionally raking people I don't know that that comes in, but in this sport, if you want to rivalry, then you're going to have on track incidents that are going to make people unhappy about what happened. But if you want rivalry, we can't have it both ways. You can't have a rivalry that doesn't have some of this. So let's not condemn everyone for that and put it into the sense of where and trying to compare this to what Matt Kenseth did in that. And we've all been in that situation. We have wanted to do that sometimes in having that moment. But the two situations are totally totally different. That's not a knock on matter, anything that we're not at all. And that is not a nicer guy. Let me go back to buying Martinsville tickets because I do believe that and I said it. I think his timing was interesting, right? They had Las Vegas. Yeah. And I have to go back and watch race, but I'm confident at some point they were near each other at Las Vegas. He chose not to do it at a very fast one and a half mile track. But you got in that slippery slow second year infield at the role he found that actually, I think that's the second shot because if I go back the end of stage one, there was a couple swipes across the bumper. I don't know if those were messages or misses. Yeah. But he didn't miss a second time. And the fact that, at that point in time, the 9 car is in the playoffs in the round of 8. And the four car is not. All right, dusty, you're on NASCAR America motor mouse. Hey, thank you so much. I just want to say that race yesterday and that's really amazing atmospheres, amazing and hard work went in a while. I just got to say that was awesome, but this is the best rivalry. I think we've had in 30 years. And everybody saying, we need more rivalries and more arguments and fights up their races like juniors always saying and this is great. And do y'all really want NASCAR water on this fire? Because I'm telling you, I'm going to Martin zoo and I want to see this continue. I'm loving this. This is what we need every week in the sport. Well, here's what I would say. I don't think it's NASCAR's job to put water on but as NASCAR's job to not. They can't ignore it. And I thought I was very happy to say yesterday. Remind everyone, they spoke to him at Los Angeles. Exactly. Because great job. They're not driving the cars. All I can do is talk to the two and tell them what they wish would happen moving forward. But those are two grown men driving race cars. And they're going to decide how they're going to operate. Yeah, we don't need fans being thrown out here, anything like that. You know, this is a sport with people that are highly competitive and a world that most people can't get in because nobody gets sits in a 140° race car for four hours at a time. Listen, I'll never get on a fan for booing a driver. They don't like. No, cheered for a driver that like. Sports are about sports, you know, one of our bosses said, we're getting ready to go cover sports not brain surgery. Have a great time..

"Alright, but unfortunately he has got a watered up monster Chevy Camaro here tonight, but he's out of the advent. Hell, Advent Healthcare Center here to post man. Great job. Thank you. What was it five laps ago. Nick Alex Hayden had the call something like this on the inside Kurt Busch on the outside, little brother Kyle. And now both of those drivers A okay? They're out of the race. A number of drivers are out of the race. Those still in it include Denny Hamlin, who is the race leader, Tyler Reddick. Chris Buscher must win situation. Joey Logano goes forth. Chase Elliott Beth Clint Boyer, six. Remember, he clinched earlier. He is racing in the chair in the playoffs for sure. Then you get back to Christopher Bell. He's gotta win. Matt Kenseth has to win Matt Di Benedetto in a situation where he can point him himself in, but a win would lock it in and make it for sure. Then you've got true ex bubble. Wallace, who's gotta win. Going to be good. And we still you know, I mean, what do you figure? One more restart? What do you What do you think? I have no idea And that's the beauty of it. When we come racing on the high banks of Daytona we are under the caution flag. The field will come back to the start Finish line. Take a peek at Shannon Bed Merrick. She's our flag person tonight and, well, she give the one to go. She will indeed one lap to go. So they're six to go in the race. As of right now, there'll be five to go. When we get the green flag.

"Harvick Martin. Correct Junior in that mix got Matt Kenseth? Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, This all racing from 12th on back our vic and true exercised by side of the start finish line, but empty day would have been a moment going into turn number one. We'll take that product least for the moment, Harvick will fall back in his tire tracks right behind them. Here comes Denny Hamlin. Denny Hamlin in that pack, as is Joey Logano. Here's Hamlin out of the inside ofthe Chris pushing cattle behind Logano in that pencil, who are side by side following a battle outside of the top 10. Why? Because it is hot and heavy, and there's some heavy hitters in it. We've got Harvick, You've got true ex lookout Kenseth. Read his last. Now busting out of line. Go three y three wide into turn number one Lawsky dive bombs to the bottom. That'll leave Kevin Harvick in the middle topside belongs back. Kendall. That's gonna bail out of that one. There three wide, maybe four. Coming off. Kevin Harvick stuck in the middle ofthe of turn number two and up the back straightaway. Now he'll leave the outside lane down to the bottom Further up. Kyle Busch heard ofthe top 10 facing hard. After number for the Bush brothers going at it. Ryan Blaney. Also in that mixes, Kyle Busch will get the best of the big brother Kurt, if only for the moment further back, we continue to watch that good race. Joey Logano getting awfully aggressive a lap ago, watching some muscle trying to make the best of that. Four wide situation on the back. It allowed him to get away from Harvard by about three Carling three more back to Brad pay, then another five or so back to Matt Kenseth in the latter half of the top 10 further up there, getting at it in the top five between firing her bell for position Number four. That's a great battle.

All abandoned. Your car has speed. If you could be good on restarts, you'll be very tough to be Matt Kenseth checking all the boxes here this afternoon. Here's the leader for the final time for now, back to Jeffs Treacle and Alex Aiden. Was Matt Kenseth winning here in 2015 in Rhianna, telling us to shut up and drive well here, it, Moran. We've been using a segment that we call, too. With Rusty to help you get to know the NASCAR Hall of Famer better. We've got a brand new episode for you right now, where Rusty talks about Michigan International Speedway. Ah, place. He has one. Five times. Resting Wallace going back the victory later Martinsville? How well do you know NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace. Rusty Wallace is the 1989 Winston Cup champion unfiltered, unbiased opinion on topics that burn in NASCAR nation. And if I would have done that back, and I don't do a lot of stuff up, I have problems, you know of the ever changing landscape of the sport to random facts about the NASCAR Hall of favor. It's too with Rusty on Lee on the motor racing Death worth. Bird drivers say that they actually remember the ones that got away sometimes more than the ones that they accomplished. Is that true? Yeah, It's absolutely true. I mean, I knew you when you win a race. You're happy all man I want. I want to know when you Lose a big one. It's really tough to handle and it for me. "Motor Speedway, bettering a late race charge from Matt Kenseth. No, it sounded on the performance raising network. Kevin Harvick gets the win his third career win at the Brickyard, and he ties Denny Hamlin for the most wins this season. Harvick able to grab the win after Hamlin's late wreck Well, we knew he had some he was going to be really close on tires. Ronnie told me on the radio, he said. Just make sure you keep the pressure on him. And that was all the pressure I could give. So you know those guys doing a really good job? Just got to thank everybody on my bush like Ford Mustang, everybody from Mobile one Haas Automation Home Brothers Pizza Jimmy John's Everybody who is a part of this program and just keeps bringing good race cars to the race track. From the beginning. This was a battle of track position. How tough was that? Battle tow? Try and stay out front. You made one daring move, Kevin, were you and almost to the grass to go get the lead didn't have anymore. I don't have any more room that was But it's Brickyard. Man. This is this is what I grew up I want to do is a kid without the Brickyard and to be able to come here and you know, have won for the third time is something that I could have never dreamed. I want to say hi to my family home. I know Kevin will be jacked up Pipers, probably asleep, if not home, but just really, really proud of all these guys on this team, Kevin Harvick with Fox after the weigh in Harvick. His 53rd career win one behind Lee Petty for 11th all time. Matt Kenseth finishing second, his fourth career runner up finish at the Brickyard man for even a 10 and 41 40. No, I ran by earlier. They were just really, really fast like I could get Iran through two before I thought I could run a little faster but could never get a big enough run Tau make the past so Chandos spectacular job with adjustments with strategy. "Stenhouse junior goes nineteenth and Matt Kenseth starts twenty on so there's a quick look at the top twenty starters Dave moody a quick update we heard there was a little bit a mist in the air but we are ready to cut him loose what's it like over there yeah we just had the faintest little sprinkle about three or four minutes ago just a couple of drops here or there wouldn't be enough to stop the race if it was under green certainly is not going to be enough to keep the rates from going green for the moment at least it was sent to that mess over my right shoulder comes closer we are good to go well I expect Dave demand up out there and keep that ran away from the race S. tracks so he's going to have to do everything you can to do that and I think he's up to the task the field works to buy two behind that Ford Mustang cobra GT five hundred pace car the lights are out on top of it or half a lap away from getting underneath the green flag the governor of the state of Florida Ron DeSantis on top of the flag stand he's got a green flag in hand he'll be the one that gets this race underway it'll be the Dixie vodka four hundred for the NASCAR Cup series returning to South Florida race number twelve of the twenty twenty season getting ready to go under the green flag it is late in the afternoon we were delayed should have been under the green at three fifty six better late than never all right it is time to go racing here two hundred sixty seven laps and now for the start of the Dixie land bank of four hundred from the motor racing network from Goldsboro North Carolina here's Alex Hayden field makes our way up off turn four Kip Childress a pace car driver makes a hard left turn he's on pit road building control the governor of Florida Ron DeSantis on top of the black sedan he puts the green flag out and the Dixie.

"As we head to the hotline and bring in for the third time a winner in the NASCAR. I racing pro invitational series most recently at Dover International Speedway William Byron is back on NASCAR. Live where you're welcome back. Congratulations yet again. My friend thanks for having me hit. Get good back in good to get to keep it going so I had a lot of fun in the Irish that we did and Definitely enjoyed how how it turned out. Of course you leads seventy nine laps in that entire race. It was a good showing there. You know one thing I've been asking about the nuances of every track that you race. On compared to Real Life. I've done a lie racing on Dover. It's a handful. Is it a virtual handful compared to the real handful? I know there are things that are obviously different. But what's what's I racing over like compared to real life It is it honestly just about kind of the same thing that you always Battle in the real card air is kind of the turn keeping the turning the cars run goes on and kind of keep in good exits to the corner is really important and also the walk up really quickly at Dover so Making sure that you're able to act the corner without hitting the wall is key so Yeah those things are are all Kinda critical into virtual car and the real car You know in the way that she is the gas in the break. Similar on Irish into so I it's honestly it'd definitely very very similar in those aspects. You talked about the return to racing which we got word last week William that. It's coming up at Darlington raceway. I guess that would be what a week from Sunday. We'll run a four hundred miler there. What all will you do to get prepared for that? Return at Darlington. Well honestly Just really kind of physically preparing. I think that's GonNa be key It's going to be critical to have yourself in good shape. I think the other thing is just the mental aspect and trying to do something that relates. They're driving a real race car. You know whether that's the karting track or just you know in something that has you know an engine and and Kinda feel so. It's GONNA be tough. You know no practice. But I know that you know we're the best drivers and and we can figure it out and and Get acclimated 'cause possible can be key Throughout the race just to to get going one of the interesting things is that you talk about. No practice no qualifying. You know you guys used to have a a built in rubber upper. I guess you could call it in the xfinity series. When they would run on Saturday they would help get some rubber into the racetrack. It and it wouldn't be as Abrasive for you on Sunday on race day. But you're not going to have that. How do you anticipate the first stretch of that race? Going and making adjustments to the car to get it right for the long haul over the course of the four hundred miles. GonNa make up your crew chief. We're GONNA have their hands full with adjustment and and really kind of figuring out what to do with the car. After the first run is going to be critical. The driver just kind of tell them what to do. And in what direction You know that we think the track is GonNa go so Interesting to see how it goes. I think the first pitstop will kind of be a chance for everyone to come down and and service their cars and and make some adjustments NASCAR last week boom put out a protocol for our return to Darlington and they said it could be tweaked. Obviously when we come back to Darlington and then going to Charlotte there in the next handful of days. It's pretty comprehensive plan about what needs to be done and also I'm sure that there similar protocols in place and Hendrick motorsports what do you have to do as far as when you pop up to the race track. How do you think this will be different? Compared to the last time you wrote onto the property at Darlington last Labor Day weekend just going to be. It's going to be much different without having fans and and everything that you sue and the environment around the racetrack like we're used to but I'm looking forward to what you know. Just being out on the track and being focused and and be with my team so It's going to be a much different environment especially going straight from from really you know the rental car the motor home or whatever to the to the race so I'm just KINDA GONNA adjust on the fly. But hopefully the first one goes smoothly and then we can start to roll into to the weekly races and and And Really Kinda get into a rhythm of it. I GOING TO SAY Cup Races. In eleven days we got some mid week races. You looking forward to seeing NASCAR in. Tv's and on the radio and hearing them on the radios in the middle of the week with xfinity series in the truck series. Pretty aggressive return scheduled. That's coming up. I am looking forward to that. I think there's GonNa be a lot of racing and I'm kind of excited about seeing it myself as a fan but also doing it as the driver so I'm I'm really looking forward to seeing how it how it plays out and we are as well and of course you know you'll hear the races here on motor racing network and also the performance racing network for those races coming up at Charlotte Motor speedway one more thing real quick before we let you go. Did you get faked out? When we got the news last week your crew chief had joined twitter. He seemed to or whoever made that account seemed to have a. Lotta people riled up there. Finally Chad Canal was on twitter. Yeah that was funny. That was My my friend texted me and said Hey I think Chaz on twitter and He was convinced because of all the people following him and I was like I don't I don't think so and eventually eventually came out that it wasn't him so I I was going to be surprised if it was him It didn't sound like him. So it was. It was funny was and we appreciate you joining us. William can't wait to see back on the drag. That twenty four is good in real life as it has been in the virtual world lookout. Everybody I appreciate it. Thanks for having me thank you. That's William Byron more coming up here on. Nascar live as the first official VODKA NASCAR. "Bagley. Welcome back to Nascar Live Woody Canes Conversation with Matt Kenseth continues. Obviously you wouldn't consider it if there weren't some things that you didn't enjoy about the job in the first place and I imagine that like most jobs there are some things you like and some things you don't like but when you when you think about coming back and you decided you wanted to do this. What was something that you really miss that you WanNa have back in your life? You know the I think most people from outside it'd be like driving racecars. That's not the part of really miss. The most it's really been part of a team is people. It's things like yesterday. Even just you know. Spend an hour to the shop and starting to get hit up for in working with your Coochie in know meeting New People and no net. You're part of a team that's trying to accomplish. Great things in your your. You know a link in that chain and in you're going to be leaned on for certain things and just the camaraderie and the the teamwork and You know just being part of that just going to beat the best guys that there is in the know there you know? Put an effort in in to work alongside people in a common goal. I mean I'd say that's the part you know. Certainly that I missed the boast and And honestly with this year with it being the middle of May you know and and the world kind of place that is right now not really travelling much being air you know the the potential schedule was attractive to me too because after after all those years and be gone every weekend from February to November. And then you know having having all always kids at home and you know. It's hard to miss the miss. The the school plays in organized sports. And the the you know. The kids dances like all the different little things that that you miss was really hard and last year. I got to do all those. The last last Year and a half ago to hit those just had great times right now. There is no kids for some. There's there's really nothing to kids able to do except for be home with us. You know homeschooling play and do all those things and I don't know when that's going to get back to normal so if there's ever time for me to go back Back racing go to work and do it. I really love to do right right. Now is the time because I think that the schedule is going to be a little bit Besides the obvious and being a great team and great opportunity and all that. I still think that there's probably less time away from home at least in the short term than there there would be. It was a fulltime schedule. The the whole year long so I said everything just seemed to kind of to kind of line up. That seemed like You know really good opportunity. That was too good to pass up. What do you expect to be the most challenging thing is it? Is it going to be the lack of time in the car that everybody's going to be going through a little bit before you get right back into action? Yeah I mean I'm going to say the most challenging thing you know if we don't get practices just going to be that you know it's just all the little things kind of kind of behind the scenes that you don't see you know to get used to you know the you know how the Palestinians feels The the brakes doesn't see fit right like all those little things. Now you're talking your chief so he cannot understand your language the urgency in kind of what. You're asking what you're saying and vice versa. All those things that just kinda come with time together come with experience together and and Fuel for the car and all that that if we don't get to practice or for a very limited practice that's going to be very very very challenging You know to get going at least for the first week or two assault were is Greenwich. Both you and Ryan Newman playoff waivers. For different circumstances of course. But are you confident that that you and this team in this car can contend for one of those playoff spots? Well I mean that's a you know. That's that's a tough one to to answer because I never even ran a lap in cars and I haven't race for yourself not to be real honest. I mean I realized the learning curve is going to be really steep I don't know how long it's GonNa take me to to to get up to speed. I don't know if that's going to be you know ten laps or ten weeks. I mean I I don't know so. We certainly all over talking to ten weeks but anyway I mean we just. I don't know it's hard to say I'm really thankful. A NASCAR gave a gave Jim Nigh The waiver where we can win a race or top sixteen points or wherever you gotta be in points after the winds to to to make the playoffs and try to make a run flat. So I'm thankful that's out there But right now we're in a four race hole. We're starting just getting ready kind. Start off. Kurt Cold Turkey. So I think we realize a lot of work to do and You know I think that's something to think about down the road after we get running a little bit something. I'm not thinking about a lot right now. I'm glad it's out there and we have that opportunity but certainly We know we're pretty big on You know Kinda going and see how we're doing. Let's with this. Your former Darlington winner and of all the places in the world that we could come back. We're coming back. I don't know if you've heard but this place is supposed to be too tough to tame what do you think about starting at all up again at Darlington? Yeah okay with that. I can think of worse place to start. So I really liked Darlington It's always been really really exciting track. I haven't done well there. Sometimes we've had success or sometimes we haven't But but I really like track. I I like that idea You know watching the film last year. We'll see Jerry cars. Were really fast and perform really well so But the other and work hard like I say. Hopefully I can catch on catch on sooner than later and Get running good. I mean. I don't have any illusions. I'm to run like how the that's for sure. He's super talented. Way Moore townhall ever had so. I realized that I'm going to have to work really really hard and Try TO BE AS PREPARED AS I. Can you know mentally and physically when I get there and just hopefully I can adapt a fairly quickly. Well Matt Congratulations. Welcome back and look forward to seeing you in action for the first time in a while. Darlington on May seventeenth looking forward to it and appreciate EMINEM. That's Matt Kenseth. "Freshest roast on the road well believe it or not I I I actually had a chance to speak to save a little bit ago sagged as one of the check and he said tell everybody I said hi he's just you know hunkered down the like so many others you know hoping that this craziness Ms sooner rather than later right but he's doing well he said Stevie I'm gonna be honest with the I don't hear you much because I've been going to bed more like a normal person when the sun goes down and getting some rest but it was good to hear his voice everybody doing fine in their family you said you've been doing any racing updates as of now and not really saying I mean if it's somethin popped up like we talked about Matt Kenseth the two gonna be filling in for Kyle Larson the rest of the year I said I do see that we I guess we got some good news yesterday NASCAR is going to resume may the seventeenth just a couple weeks away now all we won't see any fans in the stands seven races in ten days that's the headline the announcement this past day resuming the season without fans may seventeenth that'll be at Darlington Raceway there in South Carolina with the premier Cup series racing three more times in a ten day span so NASCAR officially joins the UFC is the first major sports organizations to announce a return to play plans since this whole pandemic thing shut us down in mid March let's see Steve o'donnell says quote NASCAR and its teams are eager and excited to return to racing we have great respect for the responsibility that comes with the return to competition we will return in environment that will ensure the safety of our competitors officials and those in the local community so the revised schedule only goes through the month of may there is a pair of Wednesday Cup races fulfilling the fans long time desire for maybe some mid week events now the first race is scheduled for Darlington NASCAR's oldest superspeedway followed by a second race at the seventy year old egg shaped oval track three days later Charlotte motor speedway will then host the coca Cola six hundred on may the twenty fourth marking sixteen consecutive years the longest race on the NASCAR schedule to be held over the Memorial Day weekend now the track in Concord outside of the home base of Charlotte will then host a Wednesday eight race three days later there will also be the lower tier the Xfinity races and the truck series races at those two tracks the North Carolina governor he says to the Charlotte races can be held as long as health conditions in that area don't deteriorate I guess if they don't see an a spike in cases or whatever yeah this is been a proactive after to put the the motor sports industry back to work and actually this would boost the morale of some of the fans around the we give people something to watch live right this is gonna be a pretty excited the research even without fans in the seats but the return of live sporting events people around the world want this right now so live sports on television NASCAR uniquely positioned to deliver that from a competition standpoint so there you go they've set guidelines to hold the event using the eight so called CDC guidelines on social distancing and the personal protective equipment only essential personnel are permitted to attend the events face masks will be required of the entire venue will be used to maintain distance same even in places like the garage stalls and we're the holders are parked next to holders are going to be you know separated much more than they typically are if some of these racing venues so that's something to look forward to right there you go good news on a Friday first day of may let's get a quick time out around the country it's eight eight eight eight six zero eighty seven eighty five here on America's trucking network riding in a truck for hours on end can cause your body to stiffen intake sitting for long periods of time is a good for your backside either well I know of a product that can really help if your medicine cabinet in a jar it's called Oncor's occurs it's been around for nearly forty years and it's made right here in the USA one of.
