"Robert Thomas scored twice including the game winner with two thirty eight remaining in the blues seven four down into the predators Thomas's scored twice in each of the blues last two games both victories that's nice but I mean it's it's more about the team I mean we've had two big ones to get back on track and you know see huge divisional game so that's more important David Ferrante also scored twice and Jordan kahu had three assists helping St Louis moved five points ahead of Nashville for the first wild card spot in the Western Conference branded site in Torrey Krug each had a goal and an assist for the blues the predators offense was led by Matt Duchene who

"One time in college, I was told by a coach that he could have shot the puck harder with his limp dick. And then another car. That's how we had one of our defensemen do this guy came up in the D we are in the offensive zone. And their winger got the puck chipped it off the boards, went right around our D man, skated in on like a two on one and they just scored. And he told one of our D man that the Titanic could have turned quicker than he did. So and we all like, it's a dark, shitty time when this video negative video, you know, session, and everyone just kind of chuckling in the back of the room. And he's like, what the fuck are you guys laughing at? Imagine how long it would take the Titanic to turn around for blue line and chase somebody down. Well, you wonder how messed up we are that we, our brand and our source of income and our livelihoods on foreplay pod is to just live off of showing people the negative film room. Like, my life is now become people just laughing at my expense in athletic feats, right? Like we just put up a 25 minute video of me and my worst. My worst moment on the golf course ever. And it's like, ha ha ha, let's fucking dude. Click on these things and buy it's like, yeah, dude, I love it. I love it. I live for it, but we've had to like, I didn't grow up knowing that that was gonna be like my mental, like I'd have to be so mentally tough that like everything I've ever done wrong on a golf course is gonna be like the reason for our success, like what are you fucking doing? I'm the worst golfer with the biggest platform. It's impossible. Position to be in. So like our lives are just about negative a negative stuff. Yes, we turn it into a positive way. For sure. I love it. We love to laugh at ourselves, but that's like something you gotta kinda like learn to do. You're not born to be like, ha ha ha. I suck. It's not like that's.

"Succeed. Your batter in baseball, you hit three out of ten, you're a Hall of Famer, right? Like you're failing most of the time and you're the best at it. Like think about that. So if you don't have someone, you're either just, you either don't really care or you're hard as a rock between the ears where in a good way, like you're just so mentally strong and some people are blessed that way, but most aren't. Yeah, it's crazy timing. I mean, I've been dealing with this stuff forever, but we talk about we just talked we did a pre show little meeting about what we're doing with foreplay and I have a series coming up fixing Frankie and I think it's going to be so different for people to be able to see that it's not all about the driving range and the putting green and the short range. There's a lot of things that and my hope and my dream for the series is that yes it's going to be funny. Yes, hopefully I'm going to become better tripper and short game player, but maybe someone watching it can take something that they learn from that video, whether it be from a sports psych or someone drill sergeant from West Point. I have all these ideas that I want to do. And maybe they can apply it to their own life, whether it be for work or family, and then golf. It sounds so serious the way you say it, but not many people have access to those types of tips, right? So if we can open up those doors and talk about it. That's why I better help for us. We do those ad reads like, it's amazing. All you need is that door to be open just a little bit. You watch a YouTube video here and there. All I need is just a tip to just get by. That's what I'm always looking for. It's just like tips here and there. How can I make myself better in certain situations? So yeah, it's really interesting and awesome to hear you talk about it so openly and yeah, I've seen firsthand like what you're saying like just a lot of the guys in the league, a lot of guys on tour. It's become just as important as their swing coach. You know, you got to be able to stay mentally strong because you guys are under so much freaking pressure. It's crazy. I put pressure on my teams. Like I'm going crazy watching these games and like you sometimes forget I've been blessed to be able to know these guys now on a personal level so I'm better at it. But when I was 14, 15 years old, I would have fucking given them the double bird and been like, how do you not? How do you not score on that open that one time or you were wide open and then I was taught at a younger, around like 15 or 16 by the guy Bernie cassell he was the islanders, skills coach. He had like the best hands I've ever seen in my entire life. He was huge for me growing up and watching hockey, but he taught me that there's two teams on the ice, Frank. You would sit up or Ellie's..

"You're not cool, it's gonna be for people like all around his former teams, his current team to be able to hear, you just talk through that because we don't ever get to see that. It's always just like a Twitter post about like, you know, thank you Colorado for the time there and to hear the bleed burgundy and blue and now you're gonna be that Joe sakic for a kid in Nashville, right? It's like a new age of fandom that's now that they're gonna look for a superstar player to latch on to, you know, that could be you and it probably is you and that's such a cool thing to be able to carry out for the rest of the rest of your career and such a cool look into it and it's just like, you know, that's awesome man. That's a really great, really great story. Yeah, I mean, there's times in my career early on. I probably I came off probably as too intense or too kind of into what I was doing personally to my teammates. I know for a fact I did. And it was just because I had all this kind of pressure that I was putting on myself and I've learned how to balance that now for sure a lot better. You get a little bit older. You deal with some stuff of how you were brought up and how you look at different things and for better and worse and you improve as just you become more well rounded person. When I came into the league, hockey was all I knew. I had no my first sip of beer, I was 19 years old, and it was all about hockey. And now, I mean, I love to have a good time and get after it and my dad's at my found out my dad is the exact same way later on early in my career and that was pretty funny, but you know, early on. I mean, I was brought up pretty straight now and household. Hockey was all there was and it took me a minute because I came in at 18. I graduated high school, I drafted played in the NHL and I came in and kind.

"Are you able to kind of maneuver your way around that? And how do you make decisions based off of like, you know, we're talking a lot about the Saudi league right now and guys wanting to go to another league for a lot of more money and you have to think about everything and reputation and honor and all this stuff and then like you've now found your home. Like, what goes into all of that? I would really be interested in it because I feel like you've really handled that super well. Oh, I appreciate it. Well, I'd love to hear some of the Saudi stuff you guys are talking about. I saw that Bryson headline on ziya golf so we can talk about that after. But and then I was hearing you guys talking about the money and stuff. But yeah, for me, so I played, I think it was part of 9 seasons in Colorado. And my wife's from there. And they're my favorite team as a kid. I was kind of there in the dark days when there was no obviously they've turned it around big time, and they have one of the best teams if not the best team in the league.

"My beer glass round? What shapes puck around? Okay. Why would you use would you ever catch it like this? Heel curve. I was kind of like, okay, so now I see, I watch guys, I have a couple teammates, I always give shit to you. They're great players too. But the Paco roll on them every now and then or they'll go to zippa pass and they got that old jury curve. You remember that one looks like a 6 iron. And they'll go to zip a pocket and it sails. And it's like, hey, I'll always say, hey, it's the heel curve. It's the yogurt. We'll give it to them. Maybe the toe curve. You're able to sling it more. He talks about like a shortstop, like throwing the ball to first. He catches it. He's his hands like this and you throw it off your back foot. So it's amazing. He studies all the different parts of the game and human body. Talks about the fingers. How you always, some guys will hold their stick like really weird like some guys will hold it at the butt ends like here's some like here like I hold it right here and he says that's the right way to hold it because these fingers and your hand here that's where you get all your strength from. If you think about when you're swinging a golf club, it's kind of the same thing, right? Like you use the top, but your top hand, the butt end is usually right about there. I would think. That's how I grew up in any way, but if you were to cut off these fingers, you'd be useless with these two versus like a strength. You know what I mean? So like stuff like that, I don't know what you're gonna get into the otzi talk. I could talk about him all day because he's been such a good mentor for me, but yeah, you guys, you guys should get him on. You guys should get him on. He'd be so good for the hockey and the golf part of everything because he's dialed into both. Last and longer boys, that's the secret..

"The closer at 45, the better. And then your angle from here should be the same. So if you look at said gotcha. So since one legged squats or anything he's doing, you get so low and it's because his ankles are can dorsiflex, so basically like you bring your knee this way. Or if you were to take your big toe and point it towards your knee. That's like dorsiflexion. Plantar flexion is like your straightening. My foot almost just didn't even move. So, Sid, Sid's unbelievable out of. He's like the original young guy. I came into the league at 18. That was like just like in better shape and just moved better than everyone else. And he's just paved the way for everyone coming after. I was like four or 5 years after him coming in, but it was amazing just to see the transformation in the league just guys working on different stuff. And I mean, yeah, I mean, he's the poster child for like perfect posture on the ice out there and he's so strong and he's just in a better position everybody else and I honestly like, especially earlier in his career, he watched some of how dynamic he was early on compared to everybody else. It's just amazing and that's what it comes from. So not to get it too hockey, nerdy and text on you guys. But I love hearing about your game too. I remember one of the first podcasts I listened to. You were talking about catching a puck on your backhand like full speed coming through the middle of the ice and I was laughing about that. I was like, oh, if I ever meet him, I'll have to have to have to tell him a little couple of tricks. Dude, so for me, the thing I struggle with is when I play golf and I don't play golf very well, but at least I know some of the fundamentals to work on. Like I know if I want to hit a draw how to take the club back and I know like certain things that you have to do. In hockey, I was telling Riggs, I just didn't grow up playing. I grew up watching a ton. So I can find myself in the right areas, but I'll never know, I was even asking the most simple question. Actually, how do you stick handle? Do you have the toe up? Do you do it on the heel? Like, what are the actual things that I have to think about? And the thing I would wonder with you is like, how often are you thinking about the fundamentals when you're playing it in NHL game? Are you actively thinking about your angle? Or is it just second nature where you're just like, you know what to do at this point?.

"You know, he's and it's not fake. It's very genuine. He finds a lot of things funny. So I think that'll kind of help us a little bit, but you're right. He's the funny guy. You know, our camera guys are refocused on him. He's kind of the star of the show. We're just here all the time. People were sick of us. We're kind of lame just the same all the time, and he's gonna be like the new, funny, professional athlete guy with his whole fucking thing and his mustache and his hair and we're bringing some brushes. We're in mustache. We are canceling out the mustache. That is not looking too. How do you use this man? It's so thick and then I'm gonna shave mine into a mustache here in a few hours when the rest of the boys get here. Are you gonna do handlebar mustache or are you gonna go straight mustache? I don't know. I'm not like. How far you need to I think you cut it like right here and I think you do the fucking whole entire big mustache. So I leave these parts just a little yeah, I'd say you leave like an inch right there. So badass. I mean, we'll definitely see what it looks like. I think that's the answer dude. And then try to do handlebar mustache. That's gonna make you look like manly. You're trying to farm up in Iowa fucking run in the show dude. Harley-Davidson. Who the hell that man? All right. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it later. I'm actually excited about it. That's gonna be, that's just gonna be a whole new thing for me. Yeah, it's gonna be a new trend. I'm excited. We have Matthew Shane on this podcast. I can't wait for people to listen to this. Me neither. He was excellent. He was excellent, really good. Well, I was gonna invite glad we invited him, but really good interview and really good insight into man. Free agency, the mental health side of the game. Struggles to triumphs. He's having a great year this year, our team's good, they're in a battle. He talks about all of that when it matters and these are huge golfers. So he gets into golf and troubadour and being a Nashville guy. So this is a really, really good interview. those are the kind of my focus is the game goes on and I think the president different focus tonight different notes different notes well I guess Ian we're in a little bit of a stall pattern to someone comes up from the room so tell you what let's just go on and start the first period and if somebody comes up we'll just hit the possible their brochure of its of turning in the slot area and us thank you guys I'm sorry for the slow start there is this what you expected ME one against list I get it and the league has done a good job of everybody coming out of the break together it was awkward earlier when a couple years ago when your team's not coming out of a break so when you had over a week off is it tough just jumping out there and play the game Hey on it sometimes feels like he's leaving tonight just for myself maybe speaking for the other guys you're thinking a little too much and so just reacting to the game and and what you do so you try and I get that out of the way first couple shifts in and just play hockey it is this what you expected out of a Toronto team so they started the game while Hey who put a lot of pressure on us and it was made it hard for us to defend it you know we need a better response to start the game tonight and you know given credit became a hard what were you guys talking about after the first period you're down to one at that point just go there and I got the first rate on the way and and trying to build and try and get our game to wear team game nor or or create a lot of opportunities for success and just fell short of that right I was talking about you know when you have a break after the all star break this is kind of a crunch time it goes in and you have a chance to hit the reset button how how big is that right I I we throw away the first game because like you said you're trying to get the feedback on the end opposite the other team to so but how big do you think that that rest is to step away with the coaching change and all you guys went through leading up to that break up it was out for you guys there was a it was nice of a couple days and just you know all understand the process of just one on and and what you need to do is individual to move forward and and take steps of their own games so error this is a very no we just gonna make sure ready for for Washington when the puck drops and and bring our best game for sixty minutes yeah there's been a lot of talk about the little system changes but you said you know the you look a little tentative at the beginning and try to get your feet on you're trying to get comfortable do you guys feel like you're comfortable are getting comfortable with those systems of those little changes make a half you have buffalo game was a great example we're we within the system and just once we've made we we can execute it great and and it was that was a confidence boost I felt for our team and and knowing that and the belief and and our team game that could be successful so males unfortunate tonight but will will work to get right back out the how tough is it when you said at the beginning of trying not to think about things too much kind of what how this brought up you you've gone through a coaching change you've made some adjustments with the new system how tough is it I mean you're you're a hockey player he wanted to go out there and do your thing but you also are doing things differently how tough is it gonna keep the thinking part out of it yeah he you know when you have a week off like that you wanna when the puck drops you want to be great expect to be great your you know you just sent a long break in recovered a little bit of and so you want to go there and do great things and and you know sometimes you you over things that one the punks artistic inner trying to do a little too much and can get away from it that's all but no excuses like you said that they they set up the league where they had the same break same time and and we need to find a way to be better I talked to Matt Duchene after the second period and he was clearly frustrated you guys were clearly frustrated that's another thing how tough is it to keep frustration you guys know it's this is gonna have to put your foot on the gas the rest of the way and your block to close out the fourth month of the season yeah how tough is it to keep frustration out of a room that we all know how hard it is to win in this league and ups and downs and if you let that get to you get frustrated that's one you know things don't go anywhere now we gonna just handle handle the moments and and you know stay poses a group and and confident in and go better business every day you can't you can't back it as last eight minutes again you're all over did you take something out of that Gerry Ford yeah that's you know use your heart game when we played fearless and the last eight minutes of it felt like we were unstoppable yeah and you know that's that that's what can be a frustrating thing where you just gotta understand that we can play like that if we can get to the non stop we're gonna win a lot of hockey and so it also it's also it's a good thing you know we had that great push but it's also frustrating we need that we need that right from the start sure anything fun during the break those are it all seriousness how everybody thinks it's your body but a lot of it's mental to write sometimes it's nice to get that mental break yeah yeah totally so you know it's nice to just pick your feet up for a few days and had not be traveling all over the country and then Donald and like we are so you know definitely beneficial for not just for us but the holy we travel in the next two games to close out the month of January best of luck in Washington New Jersey thanks for this thing I got a everybody we appreciate him coming up will come back and we'll get to the highlights you heard the first free will pick it up from there on the other side "If you don't have something done. That I think you play them if you have something that looks like it's very close to being done. Then I think you go out there and play. I don't like the whole idea of sitting a guy multiple games. I just think it looks bad. I think it can hurt the player for him being stale. I think caused a lot of problems within the room because you got guys bust in it that aren't on the trading deadline that aren't on the trade bloc that are trying to be on that team long-term. They're going to look and see that good players that can help them win on that given either being taken out. It's one of the reasons tanking doesn't really happen in the National Hockey League. Because I think you wanna keep that room together. And if for some reason deal doesn't get done. What do you just put him back in the lamps? Right. Didn't happen guys. Go back and kill it for, you know, kill it for the team that was trying to get rid of huge just moments ago. It's a bad precedent? Okay. So unless you've got something concrete that's a ninety nine percent official, and you don't wanna take the chance, but for just a bunch of hypotheticals, obviously, they held Duchenne out in Ottawa because. They knew they're making this deal with Columbus. And I am sure that you're gonna see Zingel and stone probably get something done later today if not tomorrow, but I don't think the Rangers wanna play the whole game of making things uncomfortable in that room. I get the idea that it would look devastating if Kevin Hayes tomorrow afternoon goes out there and breaks his leg against New Jersey. And now they can't trade him away. And they lose them in free agency. But I do think you've got to think about the grand scheme of things you a coach to I mean, David Quinn's Savon conversations with the media saying I gotta play the players that are there. I can't think about the deadline. I don't make these traits. Okay. He's still got a coach the team. So don't fragment the team. I don't think that's that's a really good idea. Joey f says bonus trade deadline game is conduct tomorrow. You know, I it's really difficult to do it on the weekends because I'm going to have ranger games in the afternoon tomorrow. But I here here's what I do promise. And I was going to bring this up a little bit later on. I was not going to do a podcast on Monday because why do a podcast when so many trades can happen. It would be dead. It wouldn't make any sense somebody that listening to five o'clock and be listening to a bunch of gobbledygook that didn't matter because it wouldn't have all the trades that happened earlier in the day. I don't wanna do that. But I will say this that if all the trade seem to happen this weekend, and there's really nothing left on Monday. Then I'll do a podcast on Monday. But if things are still very much up in the air that I'm gonna take the knee. I've got EJ already booked for Tuesday to recap the trade deadline. So here's what I promise you. If everything seems to be done I'll be back on Monday. If there are things still up in the air, then I'll come back on Tuesday. But it's really hard for me to do a Saturday and Sunday podcast. Jonathan says I. Oh, playoff hockey is different. But do you think the lightning are deep enough to win a Cup even if they lost one of their stars? I e kucherov for stamkos to injury. Well, you don't wanna do that. But if there's a team that can afford to lose one of those players, it certainly is Tampa because they've got so many guys on that team that can score. It's incredible the depth that this team has on the blue line and offense. But if you look at the stats for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Okay. And you mentioned kucherov is on his way to having you know, a hundred and twenty points season. Okay. If they lost kucherov their second leading score would be bright and point with seventy eight points, which lead most teams in the National Hockey League. And he's got thirty five goals. Okay. Stamkos has thirty three goals. Taylor johnson. Or Tyler Johnson excuse me who we've talked about. It's like the forgotten man is got twenty one goals. Gourds got seventeen for thirty seven points. Heavens deleting score defensively with. Thirty seven Miller's got thirty four points. So you do see a distinct drop off..

"Now, you ask the sixty four thousand dollar question. Troy that is. Seem to ask everybody that. I interview Ken Tampa get up beaten. And if we exclude the whole anything can happen theory, and at anything can happen in hockey, there, really isn't a weakness. I mean, what is it the Vasa left? He could very easily be the best goaltender league. They're exceptionally deep on the blue line. They have forwards that just score. At will. They've you know, you can talk about kucherov. You can talk about stamkos. But point Johnson. I mean, just so deep with there's really no weakness to this team and you get contributors like JT Miller that can play well at forwarding score. And it's got experience, and he was a part of team the went deep into the plows with the Rangers. Then this whole team has had experience. And I think they've got one of the most underrated coaches in the National Hockey League and John Cooper now outside of anything happening. No, there isn't a weakness you can exploit. I don't think there's a match up. That's a problem. There are some teams like the islanders who played. Well, you saw the sabres last night. If that's a playoff game. We're still playing tied at one. Right. The lightning had to go to the shootout. So at any given moment they can lose a game. But to lose four out of seven to a team. There isn't a match up that I think that could scare them. There's not a matchup in which they would be an underdog, but anything can happen. An injury here a goaltender stands on his head there. But right now as we have a conversation on February twenty-second, there's not a team that's in the same vicinity as the Tampa Bay Lightning. And if you're telling me that Calgary's the second best. All right. Well, they wouldn't have to worry about facing the flames or the sharks or any of those teams until we got to the Stanley Cup final. So is it Boston is a Toronto in their own division. Does does a Pittsburgh does a Columbus through the New York out as I mentioned the islanders play very well against Tampa. But in the plows, that's different scenario. Crazy crazy stuff Christmas with Shane off the board of Panara and most likely staying in Columbus, in your opinion. How much has the trade value of Kevin Hayes, and Wayne Simmons increased have a great weekend and hopefully Harper signs before the NHL trading deadline, of course, if you're in. Filet? I'm sure you're hoping he signs with the Phillies. Obviously, I think their their market goes up because it's so wide open in the Eastern Conference. Right. I mean who is going to be that second best team. It's so wide open to the west. We're any team can win. If a Brian Boyle can get a second round pick for New Jersey from Nashville, Kevin Hayes, certainly can get a first round pick. Wayne Simmons the same thing. Little bit of toughness compla- on the power play. So I would think that those are those are guys that would we coveted and we'll be traded. And I think when you see all of these big names come off the board and still plenty of teams looking to improve. Yeah. I think you're gonna see both Philadelphia and New York getting big halls for those two players. Michael says. Were you at all surprised the Rangers had their major trade pieces on the ice last night? Thanks, and I'll hang up and listen. Yes. And no ano- Larry Brooks wrote an article saying that they should be benched. Here's the situation with Rangers. Okay. They're still mathematically alive for a playoff spot. But I don't think they're gonna make it. I think they wanna show support the Henrik Lundqvist when he's between the pipes. And I think they wanna put on a show for the people who come to the games at home. And the Rangers do have another home game coming up on Saturday against the devils tomorrow. And then they're on the road against Washington. Those are the games before the trading deadline. The Rangers will not play again until Wednesday against Tampa after the trading deadline..

"Two three and four because really you can go with any of these three teams there two three and four in the National Hockey League. But we're gonna make it up, and we are going to actually have the Calgary. Flames be number four. And now the flames are five three and two in their last ten, but they have won three in a row. I'm not in love with they've done defensively. They're giving up a little too many goals for for my liking. I was in the building against Pittsburgh on Saturday. Saw them play. They collected a five two lead going to third period gave up a couple of goals almost blew the lead. With the Mike Smith between the pipes Riddick spin good, Johnny hockey could be in the conversation for one of the best players in the National Hockey League for sure we've talked so much about Calgary Monaghan having a better season. Now, sometimes he does have a tendency to disappear I like the way back on his plate as of late. This is a nice complete flames team. They're never going to be able to answer all the questions about their goaltending until we actually get into the postseason. But right now, even though they've been kind of around five hundred over the last ten games, but still have won three in a row. I drop them down. They've been to a lot in the top five. But I got them sitting there at number four. Three San Jose Sharks? Okay. Eight one and one in their last ten Joe Thornton coming off a hat trick. For the first time in god-knows-how-long pavilion ski Tomas hurdle has been very good for them. I mean, the San Jose Sharks starting to come around. Ironically, when Carlson got hurt it seemed like the team started to gel just a little bit. But you know, he's going to be back, and he's going to be healthy. And he's going to be fine. Plus thirty three goal differential top five in the National Hockey League there. It's we've had this conversation before San Jose reminds me a lot of Washington last year. What's wrong with Washington? What's wrong with Washington? Next thing though, they win the Cup saying what San Jose. What's wrong with the sharks? What's wrong with the sharks? While here. We're sitting sixty one games played eighty points. Third-best in the National Hockey League riding, a an eight one and one clip over the last ten really everything's starting to come together for the San Jose team. As they battled Calgary for first place in the Pacific Division. Number two. The Boston Bruins have won seven in a row. They've got a chance to sweep a five game road trip. If they can beat the same. Louis Blues coming up this weekend nine one one in their last ten Char's healthy McEvoy is healthy they've survived the pasternack injury by winning games without him..

"With Josh. Mitri Staley is in here and also sports genius. Eric research still hear more on Robert Kraft and just a little bit. As a matter of fact, our defense attorney Brad coffee will be in the studio. And by the way, you guys he has some experience in defending people in broad crafts shoes. And I'm not talking about necessarily sex trafficking. But being at a massage parlor, and there was some, you know, some craft in this way, the actual parlor. Correct. So we'll find out from him. What you know? What is admissible? What is inadmissible and what he thinks that Robert Kraft's attorneys will do in this situation neither denied deny. And I think that's how it's going to start out. Where else are you going to go with it? So CB j making some big moves. Yeah. Jackets took a train for Montreal to Ottawa yesterday where they're going to be playing the senators tonight, but they did a little deal with the senators earlier today, they acquired Ford center forward slash center. Matt Duchenne an exchange for two prospects. A twenty nineteen and a twenty twenty first round draft pick those draft picks are protected if the jackets get a lottery ticket either of those seasons, but do Shane's cut fifty eight points on the season twenty seven goals, thirty one assists, a guy that's expected to produce right away. And he will be in the lineup for the is going all in Jason Julius Bergman to Israelis. Assigned the monsters in Cleveland. Oh, okay. You'll play for them. So Matt woke up a Senator going to bed a blue jacket her wrapped and he's expected to be with the jackets when they come to Columbus tomorrow night to play the sharks. There could be a work visa issue that I think will address and he talks today at five o'clock. And this is this is what they need to be a serious contender. Did it? And this is all I talked today. Metzelder earlier rinkside reporter, Fox Sports, Ohio for the blue jackets. He's gonna come on the show in about an hour. Yup. He said your MOS. His cO nays are on the line on this one. Because now you're dealing with three unrestricted free agents, and if you don't make the if you go out in the first round or don't even make the playoffs act could be some job security issue. I mean because you are now pushing every chip you have in and same boys. Go and go hard now. Right. It's like you'd better have trip as you better you better at least have trip. Yeah. For something on the flop in the same position Pinero and was is in with the blue jackets, so. Yeah. July one they can say goodbye, we're not going to sign an extension, but there is some optimism within the jackets organization, and this is Aaron ports line that they can get Shane at least to sign a long term extension with the team which would help out down the road. So with with Duchenne coming in, and then the your in your estimate, this is them actually making a move. And they're saying that they're going to keep our ten me in this situation as well. Just risk taking him all the way to July and losing any kind of value. They're going to see what they can they can do on the ice. Okay. And John Tortorella said as much today where you know, they don't think about it at all. But just playing to win tomorrow night is the first in a five game homestand. So we're going to see what happens because the jackets need points. Now, they got a window. They still with the talent that he currently have that they control through the end of the season. They got a window at window is shutting and they are going to try to go through that window while it still cracked open. That's what this is right. All right. So the destroyers are back. Yeah. Nationwide today the Columbus destroyers were introduced as the name for Columbus arena. League franchise Ranjha worse key was actually there. He's the chairman of their executive committee. Matt sock was a former NFL quarterback and head coach in Portland in Los Angeles. He'll be the head coach for the destroyers moving forward. They are at nationwide arena the first game may eighteenth versus Albany. That's actually the team they'll play in their first game on April twenty seven. Here's something interesting. I heard earlier about the head coach he was in a on Twitter his profile picture he had a Michigan head on. And it has changed since then. But somebody let him up he has on a lions a is that a jersey lions jersey. So he's wearing that in his profile pic and he had a Michigan unit. Ovary yet. A Michigan had his name. Who was he Matt Matt suck. He's the he's the coach coach for the destroyers now destroyers. Yeah. Detroit Lions jersey, and in his Twitter banner, a Michigan hat, and I'm like, I know this isn't the buckeyes, but the buckeyes are the first pro team in the city. I'm just going to say it. I I know we have pro other pro teams he addressed. And it looks like he changed it right change. She addressed it. He cropped Michigan hat because it was a picture with his family. So didn't drop out any members of his family. Fortunately, and that's okay. Yeah. But everything else, I I I think he understands what he did. And then forward, right, right. Yeah. Kind of kind of weird like that's like a kind of bumpy starts. Go back from this. But it'll be remains to be seen. He's going to introduce his coaching staff. Your next couple of weeks, and actually they're going to have open tryouts to be a member of the Columbus destroyers. These later Shouf. He's knees couldn't handle that. Plane arena league right back in the day. No eligibility left. No doubt. Then Tom ago. Who'd you play with the New Jersey red dogs? I did it for two two seasons. Yeah. Is that Jon Bon jovi's team? I yes, I do. All the soul. He's from New Jersey. Right. Okay. Yeah. Jersey read though, right from the central Ohio Honda dealers sports desk. Eric research, NewsRadio six ten WTVN. All right.
