"Get back to Matt DiBenedetto. Good battle right behind him. Teammates Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell again It's Tamerlan to the low side. Christopher Bell up high. Hamlin has him cleared if he wants to slide up the elected not to do so. That comes Christopher Bell. Two wheels in the resin back around the outside and go power move by Christopher Bell out of tournament to will power around the outside of Denny Hamlin. And while all that racing was happening, it's allowed William Byron the clothes in solid four man fighting for position number five, and we are seeing multiple lanes now here at Michigan through the corners. Rusty. We saw him at the start of the race all at the bottom. They are fanning out like the old Michigan right now. We finally got some laps on the tars. Right now. Those guys been out there since lap 63 the last pit stop, probably about 21 laps now. They've been out there running the tires starting to wear a little bit and just like you said, Alex. I see him right on the bottom of turn one and two right up in the middle of one or two and now all the way up and that brand new resin that's been put down. They're up there more than they've been all day long, so they're finally starting to work up that very top groove right now. Chase Elliott on the bottom of the racetrack, Kyle Larson in that resin climbing the banking. And right smack dab in the middle Austin Dillon. In other words, they're using them all. Let's follow the top three back to turn number one and see which lane they go Chase Elliott interest in the high group now and he's going to keep it right up there. This time. He knows Kyle Larson likes the Highline. He runs the top until about the apex.

"Nascar has made a commendable effort recently in the world of gaming in sports betting capitalizing on the popularity of e sports and APPS like draft kings and fan duel. Recently, NASCAR partnered with bet MGM for a multi year betting partnership and Marlins Kurt Becker was given the opportunity to chat with NASCAR's managing director of Gaming Scott Warfield about their newest venture and more. Though bet mgm when the announcement came out last last week how excited were you and the Gang Nascar about this partnership? Was it tough to keep it quiet until the appropriate time? It was We've been talking to the fine folks at MGM for more than a longer than I would like to admit dating back to twenty nineteen maybe even the end of two, thousand eighteen as we ventured into the space for the first time after the supreme. Court struck down pass in May of two thousand, eighteen all the leaks have been looking at. you know partnerships in this space and for us the value of these partnerships like the one with vm card is. Getting the operators to be a little more active around NASCAR offering more bet types for our sport. Traditionally, our sport has been limited to. Trying to predict the race winner and trying to predict the series champion which for all the listeners out there the play Nascar fantasy live is frequently as I do it's really hard Even if you know the sport trying to predict a race winner, the amount of parody is is a very tough thing. So how we've tried to attack it is is trying to find partners like a national gaming mgm, both of which are now hbo authorize gaming operators, who are gonNA come in, and they're gonNA offer more bet tight. So things like. Stage winner top three, top five, top ten driver head-to-heads has been super popular. Driver groupings highest finishing manufacturer. Odd. Even car number race winner fun micro transaction opportunities for for fans to stay engage longer with the sport So long winded way of saying we were super excited. We have one of the largest operators now in in the world you know looking after our sport offering more bedtime promoting us around. This past weekend with the road course in Daytona. and and so it will be it'll be fun to see what we can do with them over the course next couple of years. You see this as a potential for developing new fans in the sport because you're talking about whole new ways for folks to have a reason, a even bigger reason to start paying attention to drivers and teams throughout the entire course of the year is that one of the objectives here? Maybe objective one you know I, think this represents a very unique opportunity for us to get younger and more diverse and to grow the pie again you know these are at times can be can be long events That eighteen to twenty four year olds we all know a handful of those at least You know they don't sometimes have the the ban with sit down for for four hours but they do they like to come in mid of and engage in unique ways whether it's social media. Now, sports betting and in one of the biggest trends were saying is something called in play or as I like to call it in race where you're now able to bet on things like. What's going to happen on third seven or who's going to win the next tennis point or in our case? WHO's GONNA. Win Stage to leave the next lab So you can imagine that we can change the way You know a casual fan may engage around our sport. At that takes less of an investment if that's a way to get someone in touching unsealing NASCAR than parlays into buying a race ticket. Watching the five hundred you know engaging.

"Nascar live on the motor racing network, the voice of Nascar. This is Nascar live now back to Mike Bagley. Welcome back to NASCAR, live with his win on Sunday in Daytona on the infield road course chase Elliott has now won three road course races in a row in the NASCAR Cup series. He was gracious enough to give some time this week following his victory and chatted with our Kim Kun. Donald row course no practice does that beat make the winds seem like Morgan accomplishment than you're wanting to track that you're more familiar with I don't know that's tough. I feel like I don't know my road to that I was so difficult I feel like they're all special and and all hard. So it's Kinda hard to. To say but certainly, I I was proud of the challenge and proud of the proud of the weeks preparation and that comb you know come to life on Sunday and get the result that I felt like we we deserved I think we've all put in the time to do that. I'm sure we weren't the only ones that put in that amount of time but it was always refreshing to see your group come together work hard at something and to get a result joke with that was really cool. What's your take on having no practice in in what ways do you feel like? Maybe it makes the weekends little more interesting. I. Think it definitely made this past weekend more interesting. You know just nobody really knowing what to expect and you know I was nervous for that turn one deal you know I haven't been nervous for race in long time and I was like you know, what are we? How? How stupid are we all going to look here Monday morning when we? Crash after field here turn one. So I'm really glad you didn't like a bunch of idiots because I thought it was a high probability of that happening So luckily, everybody did their homework think as a as an industry we prepared well with nice and it was cool to see all that come to life and put on a clean ranks. Third Straight. Consecutive Road Course Win Fourth of your career Dcla Road Courses Maybe jives with your driving style or is it more just? Collectively. The team, the car you. Think it's more of a collective effort I mean, I think that You Know Jeff obviously was a great row course racer. A-. Stepped into his old team I. Think he left them with a lot of really good ideas and and a lot of emphasis on the really important areas of course, racing that helps you go fast I think those things really. Should not go unnoticed that I came into a good situation there. So I feel lucky from that standpoint and when you when you come into a situation like that. On, your car's driving well and doing the things that I want them to do I think ultimately, it helps me learn faster in in. It's not that I come in and just know exactly what to do but when your car's driving well, I can focus on those fine details that really make the difference in winning or losing, and I think that has been the the big thing is just having a good base on a good starting point to to to build from asker shook not stuff this year and next. Tried a handful of new things. So we've seen shorter races in midweek races doubleheaders no practice like I mentioned the choose Conroe, which of the things that they've changed or tested having likes the most good question honestly I there's nothing they have done this year that I have not liked I think they've all been really big winners for our industry I see positives in shorter weekends I see positives in no practice I, see positives in the choose cone se positives and doubleheaders especially at racetracks there we visit Within a months time in that, you're not selling out anyway so I just think that there's a lot of I think there's a lot of really good things that that they've been doing and I just feel like they're getting back to a lot of basics than that. We out grew as an industry that we've got a really get back to to to to make everything work. To died a little deeper into the double header subject obviously demo hundred donor this weekend it's the third doubleheader. We've seen this year. You know you obviously have said you liked them. How does your preparation for the second race compare to win the race aren't doubleheader months in between? Well. I. Think. The big thing is it's it is two races right and there's two races worth of points on the line, but ultimately you're not going to. Reinvent the wheel, Saturday night or Sunday. So you know it Pocono. The same guys finish first and second is what they did on. Saturday and Sunday same guy wanted Michigan both days even after the number. So. Baltimat- you have what you have when you get there from a real from overall general package perspective. So in that sense, it is Kinda like just one weekend with double the points in a Lotta ways. So I, think you treat it as that in in my opinion because if you're having to just absolutely punt on Saturday night in restart the you a had a bad Saturday and are probably not going to have a good Sunday either so I think you you better have it right when you get there and distracts you from there. When laughs just a few weeks away? Your. Like your teammates maybe these next couple weeks. What are some things you want to hone in on to prepare yourself for when we kick off the championship rotten? Yeah you know obviously the past couple months have been a bit of a struggle on on the ovals So yeah, just trying to focus on that mile and a half package historically, Texas Pocono India have always been a struggle certainly thought we could run better at Kansas than what we did. So that one was an eye opener I think for me in our whole group to be like, Hey, you know we need to we need to really hunker down and get better and I do think Michigan. Showed some of our weaknesses in certain areas. So this focused on that mile and a half package, what we need to do to be better obviously, that's the chunk of the final ten. So dovers opportunity to hone in on some of that stuff But you know when we get to get back to Darlington, I think will be interesting and kind of see Roy. Stack up there we had a great run there. In the in the spring races But a lot has changed since then and I I feel like we need to improve to have this around again. That was Kim Kun and NASCAR's most popular driver Chase Elliott Valuable Playoff points here as the cup series winds down their regular season coming up James Davison. We'll make his fifth start in the Indianapolis five hundred this time though were they NASCAR connection we'll hear from him next. For decades, dry lubricants have been made in America in made to last paving the way on our highways in our fields and on the production line today driving offers a complete line of engine oils greases hydraulic and transmission fluids. If.

"Chase Elliott made it three in a row on road courses in the NASCAR Cup series with his victory at Daytona. Chase also won at Watkins, Glen last summer, and the Charlotte wroval. Last fall chase is hoping the momentum rolls right into one of his better. This week at Dover as the regular season begins to wind down in the Cup series in playoff points are on the line. Wallace has been making headlines The last few weeks, inking, personal service deals wisdom pretty big sponsors such as Columbia clothing, indoor dash who was on his car in Daytona weekends. BUBBA has been the talk of silly season so far still with his future up in the air at Richard, petty motorsports it was rumored that Bubba was offered a deal at RPM included an increase stake ownership bubba already has a minority stake in the team. It's also been rumored that chip Ganassi racing has also offered bubba. In a press conference ahead of Daytona Bubba said nothing has been set in stone. When it comes to his racing future we're you know we're in the middle of the silly season still and were. On both parties might team at RPM are still trying to figure out ways to finalise deals and get everything together. This this definitely solves a big. Piece to the puzzle and working together. So nothing set in stone, yet it's still all being worked out ironed out. So hopefully, we'll have that announced coming soon, bubba joins the rest of the sport in Dover, this week for two Nascar Cup series races. "A race is Talladega. This is Nascar live now back to Mike Bagley. We welcome you back to NASCAR LIVE so glad you're with us on our weekly. Get together folks here. We discuss a lot about what's happening on the race track with cars and drivers and the like. But there's there's an entirely different life in seen when cars are not on the racetrack and there is one organization that plays a crucial role in that. And that's motor racing outreach. Let's go to the hotline. Let's bring in Billy Mauldin the president of M. R. O. Billy welcome to Nascar live how we doing. We're doing great thank you. I want to one a spotlight. What you folks do for the sport for the competitors and everyone involved in this board for those that are listening to us and perhaps maybe do not know what motor racing outreach is explained the purpose of Moro yes I think the easiest way to explain to folks that may be listening is and that's just basically the the Church for the folks travel weekend and we count on the Nascar circuit and your listeners can probably easily imagine obviously our weekends or we're busiest time and for a lot of folks in our community. Obviously you miss the opportunity to be at church part a local congregation or whatever so every week and at the race track for all the different racing series We provide everything from chapel services for opportunities for the families and the kids and the wives and the husbands boyfriends girlfriends. Anybody that's here from from the guys that are driving haulers and the coaches to the guy's going over the walls just an opportunity to have pastora presents around to attend chapel service to have things for their kids to do to just bring a little bit of the typical things that people normally do on the weekends to our weekends at the racetrack and it means so much to so many people and this weekend. It's going to go up a notch because it is developmental disabilities awareness month in the month of. March and mroe is going to get connected with that. Can you explain the involvement there with developmental disabilities awareness month? And the campaign. That's GonNa Kickoff this weekend at the auto club. Four hundred yeah. There's probably estimated five million people around the country that have either developmental or intellectual disability. That really just want to be a part of life like everybody else. They want to be a part of society part of community part of work. Whatever the case may be but sometimes There I would say kind of an unseen voice and what developmental disabilities awareness muscle about raising that awareness of inclusion for all and It was started in nineteen eighty seven with a proclamation from President Ronald Reagan at that time so motor racing outreach became friends with an organization called the stuff and but that's the serves this community and about thirteen states around the country and one of them happens to be California and also the auto club. Four hundred will take place on March first so together. We started brainstorming. And we said Hey. Let's bring five years residents your special guests with us to be ambassadors to the race on the first and show them what it's like to be a part of the NASCAR RACING NASCAR weekend and we partnered with the UP SPEEDWAY staff and they've been very supportive and behind it so we're going to bring these five guest in and we're going to start him out in the morning with pace car rides all the way through the pre ratio and then they're going to watch the race and really the there for the heart behind. All of this is to simply say. Hey let's include all abilities. Everybody out there wants to be a part of life and especially those with developmental disabilities. Let's be aware that they're here. That they're part of our in our society and lists include them every way we possibly can as you well know. Sport family does a great job of trying to do anything we can to help anybody and this was just another opportunity that came on the radar that we looked at it and said wow this is this is a community of folks out there and it's not just those with developmental disabilities but their families as well that are doing everything they can to care and provide for them. They're just an opportunity for us to take our sport and put a little bit of our spotlight on them and see if we can make a difference in their lives and we tip our caps to you for doing that if folks want more information about this effort or about Mr in general can you give them the website.

Which is crazy Ucla basically a stalker guy. He basically serial killer but more stalker. I guess I don't know. It's very similar like Dexter. If you like doing live shows but I just finished that. "For america's troops and veterans at the race track. The gift that keeps giving with vet tix dot org helping helping manage the tickets for veterans <hes> i bought one hundred tickets for every race and then tracks started to jump in and donate another hundred hundred tickets and then it seems like the motivation that they have now with a free ticket to come to the race <hes> there obtaining pit passes from different sources courses in different connections and i bumped into a few of them you know with their sign their vet tix dot org sign wanting to picture and we re post things on on my social quite a bit to really just say thank you and that the program is there for them and i'm glad they're all enjoying it. It's it's really neat. There's some that are <hes> coming to raises for the first time and and then there's some that live in the regions close to the race to where they don't have a ton of travel costs and it's worked out crates. I can't thank the tracks enough other fans. I think new hampshire they opened up for race fans to donate tickets <hes> whereas most tracks <hes> <unk> through an another chunk of a hundred on them chevrolet they jumped in daytona july race and added fifty hot pit passes for the men and women and so each tracks had some fun with it and again again. It's like a gift that keeps giving all right. There's your latest edition of drivers saying what kurt busch is his name and man hats off to him. He is given tons of tickets away to the troops and veterans. That's awesome awesome. It's really cool and i've actually seen quite a few people on twitter talking about <hes> getting tickets through that so it's really cool to see him giving back to folks who have served in this country and it's a unique way of getting fans in the stands. A lot of fans are a lot of people <hes> probably may not have seen race before and you might as well check it out for free right yeah oh definitely and that that definitely opens up the is to a lot of people who might not have been checking out before so that's anytime you can do that anytime you should a child the sport anytime you show somebody <hes> who hasn't been around it don't understand why people care about these cars go around in circles you see it in person. It's totally different. The nordia smell all the feeling the vibrations as the lady in talladega nights says the vibrations rations but yeah no. There's so so much <hes> involvement race we can you get the atmosphere of all the other people. The fans are the friendliest people you'll ever meet the midways awesome. There's so many cool things to take in a nascar race and any time you get somebody to experience that for the first time it's awesome real quick on the flip side though t._v. Ratings are seeing a resurgence. That's awesome. They really are and it has been awesome. Mm-hmm i mean last week was what a thirteen fourteen percent increase or something and the last week was a way seven eight percent increase in like that so it's been pretty good increases for the last couple of weeks hate to see a cup series off weekend right in the middle of their momentum but i know all right to happen like that though yeah exactly all right so cup series does have the weekend off but there's plenty of racing. You're not gonna miss it. At all. All kinds of road course action cups or <hes> xfinity series truck series both in action. We told you all about that. In the previous segment so <hes> checkered flag is flying on this show. This has been the final weekly catch us next week right here when we will recap the racing from the xfinity and truck series. "That. He's <hes> way super duper excited. I would imagine so. This should be a pretty good chance for him to get a win under his belt. He's very the road courses as we've seen in the cup series this season and he'll be indefinitely the best car on the field. I've actually got another edition of drivers. Say what the the final weekly check us out online at the final lap dot com final dot com the final lap weekly as back. Here's your host karie murphy and toby christie just a couple of guys talking race in my name's gary murphy. His name is toby christie and we call this entire program that you are listening to right now the entire forty eight minutes or so <hes> the final half weekly or t. f. l. w. If you've been listening for a long time you know the acronym you know what it's all about and it's time time now for drivers say kurt busch is our driver saying what person guy compares the current playoff format to the past formats and he's not too happy. The current format makes it to where you have to earn bonus points in the regular season and and then those bonus points carry with you through the playoffs and so it actually hurts the effort of the playoff atmosphere in my mind whereas when we have the system the ten weeks straight that was basically a clean slate for everybody and then you start earning points from there and showcase your skills over a ten week run on on now you have those bonus points and then they get lumped together with a three race stretch in a three race run you can have you know an ringo bad on your rear end and seal and you're knocked out for the year and so those are the tougher consequences that come up with this system. It used to be just ten guys ten ten weeks and that that was like a who's who had also yeah they're sixteen guys it make it <hes> we need more teams to feel like they're part of the playoff atmosphere than than in just the tent. I think the numbers right on that side of it but it's tough i feel like <hes> three races in one little lump is too short and consequences are too high breath and things can be adjusted possibly in the future to where you know playoff run. A nascar might just be five weeks straight and it could be a challenge of five different style tracks ax and kurt busch. He's gonna say what's more. He has a special program for america's troops and veterans at the race track. The gift that keeps giving with vet tix dot org helping helping manage the tickets for veterans.

"It kind of knowing. We're getting all along rule stuff but no truck series same role for the cup series competitors. They are allowed five race per year and and of course they've updated the triple chuck challenge rules to get rid of that greg biff stipulation that ruin things this year where you have to have the person on the entry list before the posted so that s no longer thing you can now if you have somebody at the first race of it that wins that you can now put them in the next race even though they weren't on the official entry form to begin with. Let's go now with gregg. He goes out there. He wins the race and disappears again. Yeah he was pretty upset about the fact they wouldn't let them keep running for more money and i don't blame them on that because <hes> came out and got eh fifty thousand dollars bonus and look like <hes> things are setting up pretty well form. If you've gone to the next race that would have been hired thousand bonus and that one fifty but and they didn't let them do that so <hes> i see why he was all upset about that kind of felt like he's being disqualified for. Something that you know was kind of a technicality bogus. Seriously is bogus. <hes> what's the latest on some darlington throwback schemes. I know you're posting those like every five minutes yeah. It seems like it so <hes> the newest one's <hes> as of this recording co. Custer has unveiled a buckshot jones. <hes> throwback seem that's pretty cool <hes> the old aqua fresh number zero zero carson. That's really really cool <hes> buckshot. His name wasn't really buckshot but that's just i know all right. You takes on the nickname of buckshot shot. That's a good point <hes> so then there's also joy gays in the extended series race will be thrown back to the old tabasco fiasco. Remember that yeah so that's the cool <hes> kind of like reddish model theme that they had it <hes> the bud shootout that year in basco car yeah bradman his looks awesome too. That's that's the nineteen ninety-six <hes> rusty walls paint scheme with the cool yellow in <hes> red and blue splashes down the side and it's black and that's awesome michael michael mcdowell by the way as well. He's throwing back to <hes>. Jimmy means the alka-seltzer car <hes> from the eighties so that's gonna be pretty cool. There's a lot of these this year. That are really really awesome. The really well done really close if they have some sort of criteria like a decade or something they usually give them a suggested decade that the track track is celebrating so they hope people stay in that then the confines that but you don't have to doesn't sound like they are. I think this year is the early nineties so so <hes> some of them are and some of them aren't that's dope. That's dope. That's dope from the nineties. Oh okay. I see what you're doing there. That's that's cool. I used. I used to be a d._j. Back in the ninety s on a hip hop radio station. Yeah dude that's right. I don't think we said dude really <hes> cup. "<hes> is everybody okay okay in turns out. It was dale family and minerals okay so that's really good what didn't wasn't there. Talkers was at bristol well. I don't know i don't know if he was there on the initial seen things that day but i think he was definitely there for the press conference the next day. I thought i saw video. I mean he. There's still flames names and everything but maybe there was somebody else though yeah i know i think jerry jordan got there the day of <hes>. I'm sure there were a couple more. I yeah i don't really know though all right. Let's switch gears a little bit here. <hes> why why is ryan newman so stubborn on the race track. I mean give the guy a break. He's going for his first win. It'd be a huge story. No put your ego aside dude. I mean it's easy to say that ryan newman still battling for a playoff spot <hes> in his own right. If matt demanded that a wins that race first off that makes things things a little more difficult for him <hes> secondly <hes> you know he gets laughed. Something happens and he ends up not getting a lot back. Why is he always have to be see that guy well. I know it is it is very frustrating. It's always newman. That's that guy but when you've when you fly that close to the sun as far as a you almost not playoff berth goes at each year. These are the kind of things you have to do to make it in as you have to battle tooth and nail for every position every spot every rely on the track and that's what he does because that's the spot had wins in his pocket. He would still race that way. That's probably true. We've seen him do that in the past <hes> <hes> although we haven't seen him do that in a while so we don't really know how he would do with wins in his back pocket now this new format ensures that you're in with wins that wasn't always the case <hes> but yeah just from this bodies i understand where he's coming from. <hes> the race fan of me and the person who was looking for that awesome story. The other night was very upset about about that part of it but i mean i don't fault them if i was battling for a playoff spot i'd probably do the same thing i wouldn't care who isn't that ninety five car alibi but you know if he would have been to three laps down or something like that. That's what it becomes agree gis but he wouldn't even lop down he. He was just trying to stanley lapse. I i don't fault them for that all right fine. You got some details. Nascar announced some changes for the two thousand twenty xfinity and truck series seasons. Yeah the field size for the affinity series will be he cuts down to thirty six cars now <hes> so that's that's shaving a little bit off the field there that should give some more prize into the rest of the field. Only five starts now for the the cup series drivers in the series going forward. They had seven <hes> this season they were allowed to do of course they won't be able to race in the dash for cash races and the final eight races is the season and that's drivers with three or more years of experience of course <hes> the mesa bush dash for cash rules. "And that was that was big for our race team and for those guys and so that's the kind of person that dinnie is san. Juan went up there to victory lane. That's the memory that all feel remember the rest of my life and he's somebody i have so much respect for i went up there and talk to him and in you could just tell how <hes> you know how emotional he was too because he was the rooting for me at the same time as racing that was that was crazy. He's just a neat situation and <hes> you know i saw when he was almost apologizing for winning and i'm like dude you on the race you had to a of the <hes> it's awesome and and <hes> you know so i just told him you know how appreciative i am for everything he's done and it was just really really kind words for for me and i was really cool and and emotional and that's just <hes> you know an interview to talk so much about us than me and i'm like hey man. He won the race either the what kind of a selfless person he said as much on t._v. I mean he of all people beat. He didn't wanna have to beat you so it's <hes> it's really a genuine anyone moment for both of you guys. Did you feel the collective. Just everybody rooting for you. I think even media members were rooting for you. The fans fans in the stands on t._v. I mean it was just i mean. Everybody wanted you to win yeah. That was what that was. What was so we most you know about it. All was that <hes> obviously it was a tough week. <hes> you know getting the news. I won't be able to return to a really tough on me my family and my wife yeah but you know that <hes> and you know nothing of the team's doing about levinas wife sharon are such good people as loved working with our team and i think they've loved working with me as well but <hes> just because of the circumstances you know financially <hes>. It's the reason nothing nothing more that so. They're great. The people on the opportunities been amazing but <hes> yeah so when that all happened yeah. It was a tough week but i went out there and we just you know being the whole team. Everybody just dug deep pit crew. Were i mean holy. Cow kick butt the whole weekend. It was amazing <hes> but i <hes> yeah we just dug deep and did our normal thing went out there and perform and that's what made it so cool cool is i think everyone just embraced in the story and the support afterwards is what kind of broke me down you know. I was trying to hold it together because the interesting tougher week <hes> but everybody just screaming for us to notice see and feel how many people were pulling for us is where i couldn't even hardly talk and get words out. That's where the emotion came from. You almost called your shot in the driver. Introductions you know you're wearing the boxing gloves and the cape and everything. I mean that that set the stage for the evening. I think it was <hes> you know getting stuff week. I was like man that driver intros and i think the the rocky thing would be perfect to underdog story and it's <hes> you know it's good. I like i like to have more meaning than just coming out to a song and so i was like all right this is <hes> this is perfect so came out the story and then finishing the night off that really you know we're really captured the story not insurance fun and it was cool. People enjoyed that all right. I'm gonna throw some stats achy achie- you lead the daytona five hundred just <hes> let a bunch of laps at bristol. You even lead talladega this year. You have an eleven point seven average finish finishing in the last nine nine races. That's a quarter of the season <hes> in my best seinfeld voice. One is a guy i have to do. That's it. That's the performance. This is been cool. It's been everybody just working together really well. We've all mashed <hes> and and <hes> it's it's all the the team you know wheels mike wheeler macaroni cheese pizza he's done. It's such a good job at the shop because we're a standalone team. You know or not <hes> you know. We don't have all the information from joe gibbs racing. They have to take the race cars that we get and in <hes> you don't make the make the most of.

"As well <hes> but you start looking at stewart haas racing as a whole and there's no guarantee that clinton warriors coming back next season. There's no guarantee that daniel suarez is coming back next season season and for that matter even though it's expected it doesn't look like erica and we're all assigned just yet either so three seats there that could overturn eszterhas racing. I don't think all three will will but that is. That's deficit interesting things to look at matt benedetto. I mean matt has definitely opened some is i would think he was opening is before but man the performance last last week has got to do wonders for his resume more yeah then you group them with all the rest of his <hes> finishes lately you look at the last night and races. He had an average finish of eleven point seven. That's a third or a fourth of the season right. There <hes> an average french levin point seven. That's getting it done especially for a team. That is <hes> you know still underfunded. Even though the the new alliance jogos racing they're they're chassis they can only afford to have one generation further back so they're not the newest latest greatest stuff <hes> so they're still very competitive but not quite as competitive as they could be any still doing. This kind of stuff had in second place finishes bristol. <hes> top ten's on top fives at road courses. This is <hes> and even new hampshire finished top five so he's getting it done with the agony should be opening is for sure not to mention. He is the nicest coolest guy that you'll ever talk to as well as the emotion of the night he gets out of the car and still does knocks the interview out of the park for tv yeah and it would've been very easy because the contact with ryan newman for him to get out there and just be seething at ryan newman and newman on the bus for but he didn't do that and he said yeah we may contact the the car got a little tired after that but he didn't say ryan newman costing us race and i think that gains him a lot of respect as well going forward that he didn't act like a crybaby after race <hes> he he battled hard ford on long. He didn't just let hamlin go either so he pretty much checked off all the boxes you wanna see out of a guy <hes> if you're wanting to to to sign him to your team pure and absolute heart when it comes to racing he is a racer. Let's get a good victory lane. Now like we mentioned <hes> like a half hour ago denny hamlin fourth win of the season second career win at bristol here he is speaking words allowed this racist special just in general i mean <hes> you see how many people were in the stands today tonight and you just saw the atmosphere really when i got here on friday. It was just it was electric. I mean you could it. Just tell this this weekend is is big and i you know i definitely got at least two or three texts for my crew chief saying you know this one's really important to me. So are you know so encouraged me to not take one lap off. Bet i have a week off ahead of me and i can rest in so he was he. He was a whipping the horse <hes> for the entire week and so <hes> i i knew that i i definitely can say i did not take a lop off tonight. So it was great to be able to come back. Obviously from two laps down and obviously you have multiple wins now every short-track and then of course we've got any hamlin's saying that this win did not come easy. I knew that <hes> i definitely can say i did not take a lot off tonight so it was great to be able to come back obviously from two laps down and obviously you have multiple wins out every short-track so you know it used to be. I would say early my career. I can't wait to get to the short tracks but now just can't wait to get to a racetrack track in general <hes> weekend win. It doesn't matter if it's a row course or short-tracker superspy way or anywhere we just can win every single week and really the last two months. It's just been incredible that <hes> the adjustments we've made is the season gone on and just keep getting better as crew chief chris gebhardt on team in chemistry. Every great sports team is is always about chemistry in my opinion you know it's the ones and zeros are important the xs and os we're we're gonna call it but but in the end it comes.

"Awesome post race interview for tv and then he heads over to victory lane and and got some words from denny as well yeah real real class act on both their parts in fact any halen. I don't know i think this is part of the classiest thing he's ever done. This cup series career a lot of people don't like his attitude usually but <hes> he even admitted that he hasn't been the best person away from the track over his life but he's trying to turn over a new leaf and i think <hes> be he sounded very mature and very apologetic for winning almost he did he. He did seem like of all the people to be the he didn't wanna beat matt now especially on a week where matt vendetta was told that he won't be back in the ninety five car next season. <hes> the the the spotlight was on him. What can you do you know and then he goes out and and i practice was fourth or something second practice he faced the session and anything qualifying he was seventh or something and he had a really early draw so you shouldn't have been that far up but as oh how that cars got some speed and then once the race started he was up there all night long and got their lead for ninety three laps and and it's not the first weekend that he's done well. I mean he's he's finished top ten a bunch of times in the last what nine races are so. He's had five five top ten finishes and four top fives or something i mean it's been ridiculous definitely now. You've got your ear to the ground what what could be a possibility ability for matt next year when you look at the things that have opened up now. You've got the thirty eight car that david reagan was driving which is now vacated. That would be a possible avenue there. Um they've been in talks <hes> worcester racing technical lines for next year. Although it seems like those talks have stalled a little bit so you wonder if maybe they'll talk toyota and see if they get a joe gibbs racing using <hes> a technical alliance or something like that going forward. If that's the case i think that would be a slam dunk benedetto with his with toyota background <hes> and all that <hes> i yeah. I think that would be good for him. <hes> but then you also go fast racing number thirty two <hes> cars as well as talking about a a technical alliance for stewart haas racing <hes> the rumor there there isn't cole custer would come from the series of takeover coriolis joys ride that would leave the joy out of variety looking for a ride as well <hes> so that's for things really start to get interesting because the joya interesting prospect as well <hes> but you start looking at stewart haas racing as a whole and there's no guarantee that clinton warriors coming back next season. There's no guarantee that daniel suarez is coming back next season season and for that matter even though it's expected it doesn't look like erica and we're all assigned just yet either so three seats there that could overturn eszterhas racing.
