"One o'clock as sergeant Dan hills will be here about the claims of USA today and others that the Cincinnati police are racist because they disproportionately give tickets those persons of color is supposed to other individuals who are not of color that's going to be tomorrow one of five in a tool five today we have your good friend of mine rob Sanders the Kent County prosecutor what's happening in Kentucky relative to Matt Bevin it's truly unbelievable not a governor going out the door good commute the sentence of peta files sex offenders including one in independence but actually raped a nine year old girl according to the findings of the jury in the prosecutor's office longer place it cetera and then to commute his sentence and pardon him in such a way that a kid doesn't have to register as a sex offender he could have a make it become a boy scout leader do whatever he wants to do and commutations one thing pardons another commutation means we stop the sentence right now however this is what you have to do in the future how about registering as a sex offender no no but when you pardon someone it's as if the crime never happen in the first place so you can travel the country do whatever he wants to do and the law cannot reach him shaman as rob Sanders was the latest of the constitutional amendment that would stop this from occurring do you suspect there's criminal activity because one of the murderers that Matt Bevin commuted the sentence and released family gave Matt Bevins campaign at least twenty one thousand dollars just after they filed the petition for the part now I I'd find it impossible to believe that Matt Bevin or any governor in that position in today's world or any world what I actually take money in exchange for pardoning a murderer and not just a murderer you know there's murders and there's murders the worst of the worst of course are those who kill multiple individuals or those who kill children or women not that's the worst in this case this murderer out with two of his a wing man one into a home and what the homeowner got a little bit antsy at some point you may you thought he was reaching for a defensive weapon and the murderer shot the homeowner twice in the head and then the three of them then ran out drugs are behind this and getting money all were convicted there's no question that this home invasion robbery took place in Knox County note no issue and the argument was whether or not it was a first degree murder second re murder manslaughter whatever might be but a jury convicted him when he was sentenced to something like twenty seven years in jail for killing a homeowner who is simply there watching television with his family he died in blood out in front of his wife and children that guy's family there are twenty one thousand dollar fund raiser for Matt Bevins reelection about a year and a half ago the and then S. is going out the door he pardons the murderer who pulled the trigger well the two when men are still locked up for the next twenty five years think about that how is that possible it can't it a bit odd no one there stunned Republican conservative prosecutors are going to pursue this thing to the end of the road it's going to come up until five today they want to go over if you want to get rid of the raccoons in your home just just turn me up a little bit secondly before we get to important issues state auditor state auditor state of Ohio recommends criminal prosecution for five members of city council who texted about city business now when you become a city council member it means the mains the open meeting law you cannot make decisions and private men simply go in public and act as if they've not been made then announce your decision once already made in private a state auditor Keith favor who's a good man he is a Republican that doesn't necessarily make him a good man or a bad man but Keith favor I know that guy a little bit about him here and there has referred five council members for criminal prosecution for knowingly violating I the open records the open meetings law in the state of Ohio to misdemeanor could be a felony and of course the prosecutor Joe deters received the missive from the state auditor and Joe said look this is too hot politically I'm not gonna I'm not gonna prosecute them for this by the way Joe deters gonna be here tomorrow at two o'clock the recommendation is that the five members who make up a majority of the nine member council illegally discuss city business which of course they did there's no question what happened they did discuss city business and the text messaging because that's what they do and that's what they regularly dead and they knowingly violated the state's open meetings act and and they admitted to doing that in a civil court case earlier this year so under oath in a civil case they said we broke the law now what do you do if you're the state auditor when you have public officials knowingly violating the law and admitting to it this is a well I'm not I'm not going to prosecute know what you do is referred for prosecution but the dealer said he would normally take a case like this but there's too much of a conflict and so according to according to the prosecutor's office they are going to appoint Cincinnati based attorney Pat Hanley I know that guy and Pat Hamleys a good man he's a former prosecutor and US attorney's office you know we paid by taxpayer money to determine whether to present the case to a grand jury or not which I'm sure he well because the state instead of high says referred this for prosecution now how Madonna Democratic Party under the leadership of I macfarlane with previously was Tim Burke said the following now fixed in your mind the idea match time and that you have five council members knowingly violating a criminal statute yeah and they knew it because Greg Lancement who might be the most lucid of the five said he made because he was a new council member he said this to page he said and felt you know is is violating the law Eiji said fell kinda laughed about no we'll take care of that was sometimes you can't take care of it but Greg Lancement has more lucid moments and many others they are the Democratic Party hammock county said this man and this is something the trial judge said judge Roman said that he should resign their office having commit a crime in office the state auditor went through and lengthy process to determine based upon the admitted violation of the of the criminal law but they should be referred for criminal prosecution this happens all the time instead of this is an unusual at all quote this is the Democratic Party him accounting quote local elected Republican officials put this issue to bed nearly a year ago and now the Republican state auditor who is trumps reelection campaign co chair it was a central player in the statewide he caught charter school corruption scandal trying to make a name for himself in Cincinnati how many county residents care about good paying jobs and infrastructure improvements not hyper partisan shenanigans it's time to move on and quote first of all it's factually inaccurate at no point did to local elected Republican officials put anything the bad a year ago it simply didn't happen and while it is true I don't know this but Keith favors a co chair of the reelection campaign of trump in Ohio which almost every Republican who wants to be there co chair can be a co chair but in addition to that could both things be true could it be true that Keith favor is the co chair of trump reelect but what it what is how to do with Cincinnati city council my time is is a lot I'm saying that nothing to do with it both things are accurate and what we care about is infrastructure good paying jobs but while we're doing that you have five council members again and again and again over many many months committed criminal acts knowing they were committing criminal acts and then one caught and sued these five admitted under oath and civil depositions but they broke the law their names Eiji said Velde Wendell young Greg Lancement Chris Seelbach who calls Catholic boys punch a little cowards and to my Denard he's got a bunch of problems criminally and otherwise so the fact is if you're a Democrat in the city Cincinnati your county chair going McFarland is not saying stop this madness she is defending their behavior by making it sound political one it is not political when you admit to committing crime you might recall the Glen macfarlane the chair of the Amazon Democratic Party at one point went to city council and sat there and glared at these five thinking what the hell are you doing specifically said in failed and seal bark on a no better one might say when the all these conversations illegally began that Greg Lancement into my Denard was somewhat new to the Hey just been elected so they're organizing council how much money to pay out former city manager hundreds of thousands of dollars calling the mayor John Cranley a bunch of names making horrible references to Christmas other men all of which are kind of personal you can do that now the words you can you can all on a telephone call on a chain text or email you can call the mayor dirty names and Chris mother men's Pamela who's passed on to her rewarding haven't make references to Chris smother man and a **** you can do all that personal stuff and be Patty all you want however the line is when you conduct city business and I private way not in the sunlight of day and make decisions about how are you going to vote publicly having already made the decision privately that's called a crime sadly it happens all the time now good McFarland once is a while favoring deters are Republicans the councilmember Democrats well that's the system that we have this I mean the Democrats can't commit crime because the prosecutors a Republican I would hope not this has nothing to do with politics everything you do with behavior during the settlement hearing common pleas court judge Robert Roman said quote I really believe the five city council members should resign no city voters should ever vote for them again on quote now that was a political comment of judge ruled the legal is different than the political what what when the filing is said is certainly accurate Republican Democrat but it doesn't mean the Democrats are cloaked with invincibility because you're a Democrat and they know better and so whether it's a misdemeanor or felony and Joe deters stepped aside Patrick Hanley former prosecutor for many years I think about twenty years US attorney's office is now the private practice of law is looking into this thing and it cost the taxpayers well north of one hundred thousand dollars just in legal fees tend to represent these these five and you.

"Governor Matt Bevin issued. Four hundred. Twenty eight pardons Auden's in his final days in office a list that includes multiple violent offenders. The Republican pardon to convicted child rapist as well well as a convicted murderer. whose brother raised money for Mr Bevan's election campaign? Mr Bevan was defeated by Democrat. Andy Bashir in November After a contentious election the flurry of pardon sent shockwaves. Through the state's legal system state prosecutors told local media. They had not been consulted altered on Mr Bevan's decision and families of the victims were not notified in advance. I'm a big believer in second chances. Mr Bevan's said in a statement to the Washington Post newspaper. I think this is a nation that was founded on the concept of redemption and second chances and new pages in life Mr Bevan space of pardons includes Dayton Jones convicted of sexually assaulting a fifteen year old boy Brett twitter convicted of killing a pastor and his wife while all drink driving and a woman who was sentenced to life in prison for throwing her newborn baby in the trash after giving birth in a flea market outhouse he also pardoned the man who was sentenced to twenty three years in prison last year for raping a nine-year-old child. The extensive list includes Patrick. Brian Baker convicted in two thousand seventeen of reckless homicide robbery in hustling a police officer and tampering with evidence links to a two thousand fourteen home invasion invasion that resulted in the death of Donald Mills. Mr Baker's brother and sister-in-law held a political fundraiser for Mr Bevan last year raising twenty not wanting a half thousand dollars and donating an additional four thousand dollars to his campaign at the same event. Mr Baker had served just two years of his seventeen eighteen year sentence when Mr Bevan pardoned him on the night of December he's co-conspirators in the robbery and homicide when not pardoned poll. Poll suggests Mr Bevan left office as one of the least popular governors in the country following high profile battles with unions and teachers

"Hell's happening in Kentucky outgoing governor Matt Bevin all the way out exiting stage left found himself pardoning some four hundred different convicted felons since he lost no November fifth and they're now getting international attention in in all over the U. S. and most importantly of course it's Kentucky aura surrounding areas here in the tri state where he's I I just scratch my head and I you holy crap what the hell's going on this is insane the idea here apparently is if you your friends if you give enough money a yes or no somebody you can find your way to freedom again no matter what you've done I'm just going to mention one of these pardons and and it doesn't make any sense to me and I I yeah I understand most outgoing governors who will give pardons of one type or another the same way presidents often do throughout their term in office or is are getting ready to vacate the oval office to do allow the next one in but this is crazy so Bevin allowed Delmar pardon certain convicted of murdering his former lover as it's described here in more than one a new source C. B. S. as well as Z. with fox news measure the larger others Washington post he stopped the headless body of a woman he used to be hanging out with the then spending time with if you know what I mean into a fifty five gallon drum at a Berber ville chemical plant going back to the early nineties they had worked together apparently at that facility he was serving a life sentence defense counsel was able to somehow argue and they do this at trial that there were only like a five to ten minute window him to have been able to can you commit this crime no evidence linking to it cetera so there's always questions about stuff can someone say okay we'll DNA evidence some would say a failure to even look for it in other than DNA evidence or whatever else some of the it one of those apparently it also like a bit of a situation convicted like a molesting a child or whatever else that goes with that I I don't I did just you got to pick your spots I I don't understand where that you know I mean you maybe get some cash to somebody's a donation scenario okay somebody you know get slighted maybe there's a prosecution all the process question something got overlooked they didn't have enough money to get a right defense maybe you know they got himself a public defender only got five hundred dollars to you know to work through that whole judicata that process through the courts you know maybe maybe there's a story about like a defense attorney fell asleep during the free these type of stories you hear all over the country right I remember when I was over living and working in New Orleans going back to the middle nineties and there's a place there I think it's still open is called in goal they ended up making a documentary about it and there was a guy in there at the time in this is win New Orleans was on sixty minutes would seem like weekly and my family and friends from the tri state and the Miami valley which is where I'm from here right and I'm working down there they will call regularly and the like are you okay and I'm like why because it was like the murder capital of the country they're like oh my god you're still alive I'm like yeah I I gotta go get some beignets in and check a recall the in and I got to go like do what I gotta do everything's fine it was mostly isolated the killings going on but it was a big scary deal this guy though in Angola had been convicted a young age had some really crazy lunatic kind a story of a defense that was just ridiculously poor right any kind of got real road and then the talk was will you know they had witnesses in corroborating stories and everything else to say he won the guy in the they were like well we're not we don't care when we're not looking at that and even there while in any was there to be there forever and then there was like a story with that with the DNA evidence and then they were like well we're not gonna look at other than matter music note please please please here I am that's why you got like a the innocence project which they do a lot of great stuff the university Cincinnati for people who have been railroaded in many cases were the technology wasn't there stuff got overlooked and try to help people who have incarcerated of for the wrong reason the wrong situation it shouldn't be there and they freed people who have been there for years sometimes decades even so that even be like maybe like on death row expecting at any time to get that call where the you know you're gonna be next up in the chair or laying down getting the death choose or whatever the hell else it is you know but it is those are the type of cases where you go you know what maybe we need to look at this but all the way out when you've got Republicans if you've got Democrats and you've got all kinds of other people scratching your head and now they're going to look at a little bit more intently to say four hundred some pardon sit in just over a month not all the way out the door after losing the election to this year the end of the headlines of some of these people who were part of this it's B. will ring I mean I tomorrow I'm gonna get into this a little bit more on the show I'm on three to six be after him brewing before us from Cincinnati bearcat basketball I I just it doesn't make any sense to me it mean it really doesn't why would you do that did you mean it in where's the rest I mean somebody he needs to be held accountable however much anybody in that position can be to read it to explain to justify to rationalize but when you're king ineffectively a governor in that situation I guess is pretty much that I mean in each of these cases have their own story I'm sure they're all not bad the pardons I'm sure that's not the case but really four hundred on the way out and one of them and you'll hear more about it in the news throughout the evening it is somebody who apparently gave a substantial bit of money and had like a fund raiser kind a scenario for the outgoing governor Kentucky so Bevin apparently I mean it whoever thinks that money doesn't you know get pain some type of influence for individuals when it comes to people in positions of elected office whatever giving you some attention clearly we're delusional to think that everybody has the fair opportunity to get a conversation or a letter read or some action but if it's as bad as it's been reported if it if it is as ugly it is all of that I that's sickening an inexcusable and I don't know what you do but I I you know you hear about all the bad things being done to children people convicted of it and then you you you given the pass and here's the deal in that type of scenario when you're giving a pardon you can vote you can move someplace you're not gonna get a card in the mail that says so and so just moved in across the street from you and your family with your children playing in the front yard selling lemonade ride bikes and they did old raped or murdered kid or whatever the hell else so that's that's comforting that really is to even delisle Jr term sterling seven hundred W. O. W. Hey our our own I think I'm okay man just trying to make sense of it hurts my head sometimes you know really on that you know.

"It's restored recently that kind of played a role in Kentucky we had very very unpopular governor Matt Bevin now who has had tried to undermine the of the affordable Care Act here which would have taken health insurance away from ninety five thousand people he attacked teachers he was quite a controversial figure but but basically in a president trump came the day before the election to route to Kentucky it didn't do any good and for at four Matt Bevin and looks like the same in Louisiana good song sign for I think states like ours which in which demographics are beginning to play a different different role all right exit poll taken here after the election had of any this year winning sixty two to thirty four among voters under forty and of course with women it's us he had a substantial margin so I think we're seeing here and probably in Louisiana as well the national trend where women people of color and and younger people are beginning to to determine who wins and loses so a quick follow up in terms of your home state to senator Mitch McConnell is seeking another term being challenged by Democrat in in the grass and based on what you saw in the returns earlier this month in the governor's race where does that put your party in challenging the Senate Republican leader well Mitch is also very unpopular I think one poll had an eighteen percent approval rating in in my district I know which is here in little I know he is very unpopular I was thinking that Donald Trump might might save him because a tribe won the state by about thirty points but now the last public poll had him at a fifty four forty three approval disapproval that's down from a thirty four point not approval rating down to eleven so it again it maybe maybe showing that the trucks not gonna be that big a factor but still he'll be on the ballot and I think that's going to work to McConnell's benefit well if he is on the ballot I think there's a sun roof some chance he won't be but it is if he's not on the ballot or in regret that or whoever our nominee as we have a primary will be will be a very very strong competitor to him why would the president not the on the ballot well I think that he might look at a humiliating defeat staring at him and in his face next spring and say you know what I want to go out on my terms I've made America's great as I can go play golf you're with him it's going to be all about ego and if he's looking at in a staggering defeat which I think is possible you may decide not to run that there's some people I will not even but pretty substantial political analysts who think there's a fifty fifty chance he won't be on the ballot and one of those from Louisiana as a matter of fact that's good enough yet but I think that that's it's still likely he'll be on but I think those are some chance that he won't be but in any event we're gonna have a strong candidate whoever runs as our nominee will have all the money he or she needs to wage to match Mitch's money and I think that'll be a critical factor as well let me turn to Christina Marcos of the hill dot com thanks for being with us cars I want to turn now to your future don't have to hold a jam packed schedule hearings this week with several witnesses but right now so far the polling has remained relatively stable in recent weeks the Democrats need to convince more Americans with these hearings to make the case for impeachment is there any way for Democrats well well I think that these hearings could I think investors on one of his testimony if he testifies all right what as to the conversations you had with the president might make a little bit of a difference but I think what we're really going to see the potential for a change a significant change in public attitudes is when the Judiciary Committee actually debates the articles of impeachment because I think what you'll see there is not just a phone call where there was a what I call bribery or extortion of Marc against the president of a a Ukraine but you'll see many cases of obstruction of justice in many cases of obstruction of Congress and you I think the American people will get a much starker picture of the the enormous offenses against the constitution that this president has committed the follow up hi congressman this is sandy with Wall Street journal how are you doing good good follow up on that point about the articles of impeachment one of the things that has been discussed especially yesterday when mark Zandi from the office of management and budget was on the hill testifying in the impeachment destination is this question of impoundments and whether the hold on the security assistance over the summer to Ukraine violated the impoundment control act I know this is something that as the chairman of the budget committee you've looked at any request information from on the about how this money was held up do you think that impoundments or how the funds were handled in the legal liabilities are possible legal questions there should be part of the articles the house considers I don't know I think that would be getting into the weeds probably a little bit too much to move public opinion we will actually per are working on legislation to put much greater restrictions on the ability of OMB to to withhold withhold spending so yes we're very concerned about that and Ahmad chairman Mike Enzi in the of the Senate budget committees working on it as well where so the Congress is focused on that issue this is a you know this is the preeminent power of of the of article one the the power to appropriate funds for the government that is exclusively the power of the Congress and so we we need to protect that provocative but again I think is an article of impeachment that might be a tough sell for the American people not to say that it might not be worth considering but one of the things that I think our leadership rightly has concluded as that we can't have fifteen articles of impeachment and hope to make a compelling case to the American people I'm C. span radio this is newsmakers our guest this week is house budget committee chairman congressman John Yarmouth a follow up on any Durrance point during that time frame early to mid July to early to mid September did you know that three hundred ninety one million dollars in aid to Ukraine was being held up no I had no idea and I think we didn't I don't think anyone knew until the whistle blew a whistle blower letter came out I certainly wasn't aware of it I as you said we we did request information from OMB and we've got some and but not all and then when the intelligence committee subpoenaed OMB they've they've made a determination they couldn't comply with our request any further but so we have information of about that and of course is now public knowledge that the the process was taken out of the hands of the career civil service people in the in OMB and turned over political appointees actually to actually take the funds away from our withhold funds from Ukraine so and we also know that the the Pentagon had signed off and saying that the these funds should have been dispersed that Ukraine complied with the terms of the date help thought important we have that kind of information but again I think they're far more serious offenses that our our caucus would wanna concentrate on and one follow up as you know you're calling Republican Jim Jordan Ohio insisting that the whistle blower needs to testify senator Lindsey Graham saying that he would not proceed with a Senate trial until that person testifies but whoever this person is has admitted that it is secondhand information that he received regarding the phone call this week we'll hear from people who will have first hand information colonel then then and and ask for someone so based on that do you do you feel is important here from the whistleblower the first whistle blower no other trying to do is is somehow impugn his his information in his motives and thereby in some way undermine the value of what he learned that the inspector general to but in fact everything that he mentioned in the initial nine page complaint was has been verified by the people who actually provided the information so they keep pushing probably well again I think they just want to come in and and and say where you were you're a Democrat or you're never Trumper and you have political motivations again that is just distracting from the substance of what the information that he provided which has all been corroborated but by witnesses who were closer to it than he was so there is no value in having him before the Congress unless it's to let the Republicans try to question his motivation and somehow distract people from the the substance of the of the complaint let me turn to Christina Marcus harden just to follow up on other possible articles of impeachment you've long been a supporter of impeaching this president do you think that the of potential destruction of justice allegations laid out in special counsel ballers report should also be part of potential articles of impeachment house considers or shouldn't this just be limited to the Ukraine affair no I do I do think that that we ought to look at some of those again and again they were denied a report there were ten cases of obstruction of justice in which Mister Mayer concluded that they met all three conditions for a legitimate charge of obstruction of justice but according to die because of justice department policy he could not bring criminal charges against the president but the clip very clearly said in the report the president obstructed justice on ten different occasions I think those ought to be at least several of them ought to be part of any articles of of impeachment yes any during of the Wall Street journal I'm sure I want to ask you about the continuing resolution that the house is going to take up this week it seems like that will last through December twentieth you think that's a realistic time line to complete all the work necessary to fund the government after December twentieth you too can go she tions are going well enough for that to be and date I think in negotiations are going well enough that we can find the vast majority of the government through regular order I think it will be tough for us to come to an agreement on the homeland security budget because of wall funding border wall funding but that doesn't prevent us from being the appropriations bills for the other eleven appropriations bills which Congress is supposed to do so I can see a scenario in which we pass those eleven appropriations bills and we do a continuing resolution for homeland security alone and I think that would be great progress nice Christmas present to be able to get that out of the way our friend out one as with the budget deal over the summer I was sick treasury secretary minu chin has been emerging as a key player in in the latest negotiations overspending it's here finally the only member of the administration that Democrats can deal with all these budget issues well I think right now nearly were you would say that Mick Mulvaney would be one as well but I think Nick is he has other distractions so I think right now that that is probably the case that secretary minu chin is the only one you mentioned I'm not heard of any other admin I'm not heard of any other minute administration official who has been part of the negotiations you mentioned Mick Mulvaney I'm wondering have you been in touch with him at all lately I mean I know that he's someone you're close with and you were you going to camp David with him and some other members of Congress have you have to touch with him lately no I I really haven't been in touch with them since probably shortly after the the camp David visit which was back in February or March I believe so I haven't talked to him since then and in the back to the budget issue one call I would take this call if you want to talk to me why is it so hard for Democrats Republicans to pass a budget on time and as a follow up what's the likelihood that down the road we could see a two year budget blueprint well I went to to your first question we passed all of our provisions bills except for homeland security and the administrative because of congressional ministry of budget by the end of June so we did our work and did it very expeditiously I can't explain why the Senate has not done its work but that seems to be typical under a senator McConnell's leadership there is no reason that we can't do it on the side can't do it that they have the drug they don't seem to be doing anything else except approving unqualified judges to the federal bench but we can we can do our job the is the second point I think there's a very real possibility that we might do a two year budgeting cycle of that last year we had a a bipartisan select committee house and Senate to consider reference reforms of the budget appropriations process that was one of the items that seem to have a a significant amount of bipartisan and bi cameral support I I think it makes sense of even though it's only one more year it does have the the effect of forcing us to think a little bit longer term and that's that's always good it would bring much more certainty to the department so they can operate more efficiently efficiently and not have to worry about programs being long term longer term contracts being written and signed a in research research grants being a cut off so I think it would be great for the agencies and if we did that and again it would it would allow us in the Congress to do a little more budgetary oversight which we have not done nearly enough of this is news makers on C-SPAN radio our guest this week is the chairman of the house budget committee congressman John Yarmouth he's interviewed by two congressional.

Michael Bloomberg — shiny new pebble or fool's gold?

"When the former mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg decided not to run for the US President in twenty sixteen. He said it was because he was unsure of whether America was ready to be run by a white white billionaire mogul. Well that's the Bloomberg could have another go. This worried that there's no clear Democrat candidate to beat Donald Trump will tell us more uh. La Bureau chief collateral Rabelo a very warm. Welcome back to the program. Collage tell us about Bloomberg and his bid. How serious is this is because by all accounts since two thousand and eight that has not been a presidential election without speculation that might Michael Bloomberg might run? Yes and what's important to get right here. Is that this move by Michael. Bloomberg doesn't mean that he's necessarily definitely running now at this point he's just keeping his options Sion's open. He's ensuring that whenever he eventually makes that decision he is allowed to run if he chooses to do so so hard that he has filing the paperwork work that is needed while he has filed the paperwork that is needed to become a candidates in the Democratic primary in Alabama which is a state that had the earliest filing wiling at deadline. His Adviser Stole The New York Times at the end of last week. That Bloomberg will decide for sure whether Ron within a matter of days and not weeks except now up there are a couple of things here. That are interesting I is how late this announcement is coming. And the electoral calendar there are fewer than and three months to go before the Iowa caucus and even since the mid nineteen seventies. The latest a potential nominee has ever launched his or. Her presidential campaign was by August of the year before the election than we are now in November if Bloomberg decides to make this one official before the end of the month and then as you mentioned in your question we need to ask why this change If you call him a Bloomberg announced back in March this year that he would not run for president and now it all seems to point executive that fact that he's worried about The Way Democratic primary is unfolding out so far and even as early as last month he had mentioned that he would perhaps consider a run. If Joe Biden. This is the former vice president Joe. Oh Biden decided to drop out of the race but all in all. If Bloomberg does end up running he'll have to scramble to make it to the debate stage so that people beyond his supporters know about his agenda and what he represents and we also need to take into account the growing unpopularity of billionaires among the left wing of the Democratic Party. The party does need to question whether or not Bloomberg's Ron. Ron will do more harm than good at this point in the race when the ultimate goal is to eventually defeat Donald Trump so there are worries that he actually him standing up against is going to split the center. But let's look at the other candidates on where we are with the polls Joe Biden's in trouble which is a huge issue The the campaigns have Bernie Sanders and particularly Elizabeth. Warren are not going that well actually Bloomberg has repeatedly attacked Elizabeth Warren. So he's coming into a failed which is already rather bad tempered and and not really putting a strong candidate. It isn't tape no and he is exactly as you described with the Bloomberg entering during the race. And we're ignoring a big factor. Here which is there's an argument that a lot of people say he is not a Democrat. He is more of a Republican than Democrat. But that's a whole different conversation but if we take into account Michael Bloomberg entering the race now the center of the party disappears and the problem. That's that's the Democrats have been facing. which is you have candidates on? Two extreme ends of the political agenda within the same party with Bloomberg entering during this. That divide was only deepen you will. You will have the same party Eh. One of the country's most known billionaires regardless of the fact that he has of course Experienced running public office running the biggest city in the country in New York City but he is one of the most known billionaires to and then you have on the other end. Candidates are advocating for a huge tax on people such Just as Mike Bloomberg so it will it regardless of who the candidate ends up being. You take the risk of eliminating a lot of the voters Not necessarily to vote for trump perhaps not vote at all because it seems like the identity of the Democratic Party does not exist and that was the main issue in two thousand sixteen and it just seems like a repetition ministry again which is a shame if you're a Democrat because actually last week Votes in Virginia and Kentucky seemed to indicate that in principle the Democrats are on the the the the recovery. Oh yes if you look at the results from us. We Cut The conclusion is that the Democrats are on a winning streak in Kentucky Talkie as Democrats. Andy here defeated The Republican Governor Matt Bevin and this was by a very thin margin and for over a day a Bevan refused to even concede. We're talking about five thousand votes. That decided this result wishes shows just how polarized it is right here. This is state up trump won by a margin of thirty points in two thousand sixteen so it just shows how the tide released turning and of course in many ways. It's victory is indeed significant particularly. Because you know Bevan ran a national campaign Consistently linking himself to president trump and not only. The trump makes several several statements supporting him. He even held a last minute rally with Macbeth into former Kentucky governor in the net for to ensure this reelection that now we we know didn't happen and if you look at Virginia the Democrats should take it as a big victory for the party This is the first time since nineteen ninety-three three that the Democrats won control of both chambers in the state legislature and governor and this has is allowing them to kind of redraw the the states legal boundaries legislative boundaries after the census are happening next year and it can help pave the way to solidify Virginia Jinya as a blue state from now on color. "The taxpayer money is is taken from the tax payer in a variety of different ways. One of them has long been in this state and every other some form of consumption tax based on fuel usage. So that's going to always be released into the foreseeable future one of the options. So the idea that that might go up is nothing new. It is a possibility. If people want things that that money will buy they're going to have to pay the money that it costs. And so we'll see again, I'm not gonna comment on hypothesis. But there is a very distinct possibility of people want more of something they're gonna pay for it. Governor Matt Bevin. Thanks for your time this morning with it. Thank you so much. Yeah. Raising the gas tax ten cents to be a terrible idea. I got a funny Email here from somebody. I guess he was very angry. He's been emailing me all morning pissed off about my position on the teachers strike, which is what it is. But in JC PS, but he he's upset with Matt Bevin now. And and Louis says Bevin doesn't know how the educational system works in his state works. He doesn't understand the funding question. Mark. Unbelievable. This just solidifies his incompetence. I N C O M P E N T S. Wow. When he was younger too. I've I'm typically not a grammar Nazi because of my grammar is often awful. And my spelling is often even worse. But if you're going to be making a comment where you're complaining about the governor not knowing about how an education system works. Maybe you shouldn't type when you're so angry because incompetence is not a word unless it's a new brand of camping gear. I was unaware he N T S. Maybe it's a new bright amping gear or you can't hold your innards in after eating. Okay. So there you go. Hey, look it. That's what we have. I hate Leland W H A S dot com for it. It's for all kinds. I don't I don't really care. What you think? I care that you listen. I I've been getting emails I love this. This has been happening. The last few days super, Dave. And by the way for that. Emailer. It's h. Not not H A IT. Yeah. Understand how to spell it. When you type I hate Leland w j dot com, but I've been getting emails from people who are mad because I support rans vote against the president's emergency declaration. And it's kind of funny to me when I get these emails because I've got people saying I'm not going to listen when you have rand Paul on. I'm not going to listen when you talk, and I'm like, I don't need to know your schedule. I don't even know you're listening schedule, you listen or you don't listen. And it's funny because then they listen, and then they comment on it. But it's like, dude, I don't need to know your schedule you do or you don't you? He the perfectly said, I took an oath to the constitution. Not not to the president. I support him on most things my is to the US constitution. Yeah. I remember all of those years when we were demanding that Republicans stand up for the constitution instead of the Republican party. And now we got a guy that does that on a regular basis. We're pissed off at him because people are fickle. I was I got a tweet. I gotta I gotta read you this real quick. If I've got time before we get to the bottom of the hour news because I thought this was funny. Somebody was complaining about rand's idea to give twenty five to charge twenty five hundred dollars to legal immigrants to pay for the wall. And she goes police job is to protect Americans. Are you crazy like illegals have twenty five hundred dollars? Yeah. Right. You really are stupid, and it has to build a dam wall now, and I replied, and I said, do you realize that most illegal immigrants pay more than that to drug cartels anywhere from two to four thousand dollars? They have to save up an entire year. And if they try to cross the border without the cartels protection, the cartel will gun them down in the desert and leave their body to rot, and they do have two thousand five hundred dollars and legal immigrants who have green cards if they could expedite the process by having twenty five hundred dollars since they're participating in the economy. They probably do. Yup. Two thousand five hundred dollars is a lot cheaper and safer way to get to America that trusting the cartels. So maybe don't call other. You can disagree with that idea. But probably just don't call people stupid. When you don't know exactly what you're talking about. So there you go. All right. We'll continue lots more to get to this morning. We continue. Why you should never tweet from the bathroom? Why you should never tweet from the toilet. Oh, yeah. This is a good one. I've seen I've seen self visa in the background are like thanks floating. Yeah.
