Can We Celebrate the Death of the RINOs? Rep. Matt Gaetz Weighs In

"We're celebrating the death of the rhino species in D.C., but they're not going to go away that quietly, are they? Well, we have seen a number of victories that together show us where the real enthusiasm is in the political right. You know, if Liz Cheney was the only person who voted for impeachment to be rejected by voters, we might view that as just Liz Cheney's complete betrayal of Wyoming, her unwillingness to ever talk about Wyoming, values the fact that she's actually from Northern Virginia, not Wyoming. You could point to those things, but you see Joe Kent defeat Jamie Herrera butler. You see Adam kinzinger quite literally just avoid the judgment of his voters by not seeking reelection. You see someone like Fred Upton certain to face defeat against a candidate that was more pro Trump choosing to forgo reelection. And so I think there's a pattern here that shows how narrow any path is or any constituency is for the reconstitution of the establishment.

Sebastian Talks With Rep. Matt Gaetz About Liz Cheney's Election Loss

"To say nah nah nah, goodbye Liz Cheney. Are you celebrating Matt Gaetz? I believe I was the first Republican to travel to Wyoming and to lay out the case against Liz Cheney from a policy standpoint, a political standpoint. At one point I had the record for the largest political rally in Wyoming history that did not include a rodeo element, but of course president Trump shattered that when he went to Casper Wyoming as rightfully he should. So hang on, hang on, you didn't get on a rodeo. You didn't ride rodeo, Matt. I'm disappointed. I am a Florida man. Anything you can not get on in flip flops. I would be very hesitant to engage upon. Surfboard a wakeboard. That I can do with John boat, a paddle board, but no interest in the rodeo activity for this Florida man. What I will say is that this is a verdict of sorts. This is the ultimate verdict on the January 6th committee. Now Seb, they told us that the January 6th committee was going to blow the top off the capitol building. Remember when Jamie Raskin told this that will instead all it did was blow the tires out of Liz Cheney's political career. They told us this would be this great shift in all of the political tectonic plates in our country that everyone would abandon president Trump and the reality is that the January 6th really deprivation of the facts, the misuse of process, the unwillingness to have both sides present and questioning those who came before the committee. It ended up calcifying and solidifying support for president Trump,

"Senator Rick Scott, before I get to the question of the FBI, which is burning up the call screen. People are very, very angry about this. I want to get your I want to get you over and under. It looks to me like the Republicans could end up anywhere from 48 to in a great great year 56. I think the over and under is 52 and a half for the Senate in January of 2023. What do you think? As long as we raise our money, we're going to get a majority. I don't know if that'll be 51, 52, 53. You're right. We have great candidates. So if we have our money, we have shot BioShock pick up 6 to 8. But it all comes down to enough money to get our message out. That's why I tell everybody help these candidates or if you want to help us, it's text 5 5 four four text win to 5 5 four O four because if we have the resources, I think we're just going to be a great year. People are mad. They're mad about inflation. They're mad about Afghanistan. They're mad about the border. They're mad about defunding the police. They're mad about this rate on Mar-a-Lago. Do Senate Democrats Have Any Reason to Believe They Can Win?

"Senator Scott, our people on the Hugh Hewitt radio program are very in the weeds about the mechanics of winning. As the head of the NRSC, you are in charge of making sure we take back the Senate. Are people are people who are concerned because the regime narrative is that we're in trouble in Georgia with Herschel Walker that we're in trouble in Pennsylvania with Doctor Oz. What's the NRSC doing to ensure that we win those crucial Senate seats? Well, Kurt here's where we are. We have great candidates. We've got wonderful individuals that have gotten through their primaries. They're clearly focused on running good races and representing their state. If you look at all over the country, it's actually all these states where we have competitive races. Biden is numbers are horrible. The democratic agenda is not well received. People shocking people don't like high inflation. They don't like to defund the police. They don't like critical race theory. They don't like the fact that there was a raid on a former president House of potential opponent in 24 to the existing administration. So, but we've got to do this as long as we raise our money and we get our message out. I think we have every reason to believe that we can get a majority.

Democrats Still Face Enthusiasm Gap

"Well, David drucker of the Washington examiner, I think we're getting some data points. We've seen the Minnesota and Wisconsin primary elections Republican Republican voters up. Democrats down in Hawaii in the primary. A massive increase in Republican voters and a drop in Democrats. The regime media story, the narrative is Joe Biden's back. He's got his aviator glasses. He's gotten one 12th of what he asked for. That's practically the new deal. He's back. He's not even falling off his bike anymore, as he rides on the beach. And I think that that attempting to wish cast a guy with approval on par with monkey pox. I just think I just think his wishful thinking, what do you think? Well, I too think that looking at the president's screen of legislative accomplishments all in a row after several months of nothing. And concluding that the entire midterm election landscape is turned on its head, it stands for because it's just not true. I mean, the president's approval ratings are still low. Democrats are still facing headwinds. And one of the reasons why I'm paying close attention to how the fallout from the raid shakes up politically is because Republican turnout in primaries was already in democratic turnout in primaries was already either down or nowhere near as good as Republicans. So the Democrats already faced an enthusiasm gap. So it's not like they were riding high and now all of a sudden we've seen this thing turn on its head.

The Republican Anger Over the FBI Raid

"A full board of calls here. I have seen so much intense and unyielding anger among people at what the FBI did. It's not transitory. It's not superficial. It is deep. It is all consuming. These people are furious because they believe they're constitution has been betrayed. Do the people inside the beltway have any conception of just how angry people are in response to this Mar-a-Lago warrant nonsense. Well, I'm not sure if people I think the question that people, I think what people inside the beltway are trying to figure out. And your question is very valid question. I think when people are trying to figure out is who is angry, where are they and who's happy and where are they? And when you put all those together into a voting electorate in the midterm elections, how does that shake out? I am not at all surprised that Republican voters were voters who tend to vote Republican or voters who vote as long as Trump's on the ballot are upset about this. There are also a lot of democratic voters who are not or who have felt for almost two years at Merrick Garland, the attorney general has been way too timid in dealing with Trump and other Republican mouthpieces as they see it. And so whenever an event like this happens, I like to see how all of this shakes out. Often people inside the beltway and this all sorts of things. So if they're missing this, we're missing this wouldn't be the first time. But I don't think people on aware. I just think people are trying to figure out how to put it together in such a combination that they can figure out whether or not it's going to affect the midterm elections and beyond. Well,

The Power of a Trump Endorsement With Kevin McCullough

"Were just talking about something when we went to the break. So a lot of people were staying, you know, he hacks too much in his own self interest. I haven't seen that. In the 2022 cycle, he has campaigned selflessly kind of the way former presidents do using his power to help get people elected. But the difference is he has the opportunity to not only get them elected this year, but to help them get policies through for the next couple of years. And then run as their nominee in 2024. Now, he may get to 2023 and say, you know what? I just don't want to, I'm tired. I don't want to do it anymore. That may be a decision he makes. And if he does, he should be afforded that. But if he wants to take the mantle of the 2024 banner for the people that he has helped get elected, this election cycle, and all the people that voted for him in 2020. It is his decision to make. It says his decision to accept or to decline. And I don't think anybody else Matt Walsh Ben Shapiro anybody else has any business telling what to do.

Should Donald Trump Run Again? Kevin McCullough Weighs In

"McCullough, what is on your heart? What do you think about? Here's a question. Let's start here. There are plenty of people and I hear them who say, ah, I don't think Donald Trump should run for president in 2024. We should get behind desantis or something. Strong preference. Would be that Trump would run. He would win and then desantis can have two terms after that. We've got a deep bench. We don't need to put desantis out there now. I believe Trump deserves a second term because I actually believe he was elected to a second term in 2020. And so what do you say to people who are already in a way being cowardly with regard to Trump? Oh, he's divisive. He's divisive. Yes, that's why he's effective because he's not afraid to speak the truth. Well, it's interesting that you started out with proclaiming my predictive power in the past because I missed 2020 according to the experts and according to the statisticians. Pretty badly. But if dinesh d'souza's film is true, if half of what they were able to prove in with true the vote is true, then I got that. I got that election called probably Kevin. There is zero question that you got it. And it's not about you, obviously. And the thing about hero question. But the thing about dinesh is film. And I want everyone to hear this. 2000 meals, the interesting thing about this, and you were lucky enough to be in it. They set the standard with true the vote in terms of how they did the data. At ten times what would be necessary to prove in court. Ten times the legal standard is what they set the threshold at. And even at that threshold, they proved that the election was taken from Donald Trump lawfully. Unlawfully. So this is really what's coming up in the next now, what is it 85 days? I think we are away from the November election is really, really important to me. And I appreciate you having me back to talk about this. Look, I've been seeing these very comments you're talking about. Matt Walsh, people writing in the hill, other people at the daily wire. There's others that are already out there saying, well, if Trump really wanted to do the best thing possible, he should get out there and campaign for people, and he should wave the flag, but not choose to run himself. And here's my statement in I wrote about this two weeks ago in town hall. Stop. This man got more votes than any sitting incumbent president in the history of the country. Nobody's ever come close to as many incumbent votes for reelection as he did. It doesn't matter what Joe Biden got. I don't think anybody thinks that the votes that came in for Joe Biden were legit. But Donald Trump, you know that he earned every vote that he got.

Two-Tier Justice: The FBI Raid on Mar-a-Lago

"Last question for you? The PR perception. You talk about their 30 people on the hill. I've talked to many of them just like you, you know, they sell the FBI and the sale of the DoJ. Is there anybody there that could give a look and say, hey, here's the mirror. The people are looking at you and seeing complete hypocrisy. You've got to get this straight because we need the FBI to be the FBI. Yeah, I mean, obviously it's got to be and it's got to start from the top, so it's got to be Chris wray, and he's got to inculcate that into the organization. And he's from outside looking in. He doesn't seem like he's accomplished that at all. I want to go back, Doug, and one other thing that we all should know is, you know, Bill Clinton took $300,000 worth of furniture out of The White House and moved it. You know, when he left The White House and who knows what documents there was a negotiation, obviously for that, that ended up being returned to plus years later. George Bush obviously, when he left The White House, there was an ongoing negotiation about his papers and documents and what was and what it wasn't a presidential record under the act. And I just, I see, you know, again, you talk about the two tiered system of justice. I see that there is an inconsistency here with how Donald Trump's being treated versus other presidents and it's quite frankly it's disgusting.

Is It Time for a Refresh at the FBI? Matt Whitaker Weighs In

"This as well as the vast majority of FBI DoJ is 99%. I mean, they're tired of this. I think, you know, I've talked to them, and I know you have, well, they're just tired of this. You're right. Do we go back? Because you were sitting at the top of the ladder there. You saw some of this play out, you've known some of these players, is it time just for, I mean, down to some deputy level, it's time for a refresh at the FBI, probably at DoJ as well. And how do we make how can we encourage that to happen? Because this has gotten singing grain. Yeah. It is. I think it's also time for Congress quite frankly to exert its really one lever that it has. And that is funding. There needs to, you know, the FBI has, I think, maybe 30 agents dedicated to lobbying Congress. They are very effective at building these relationships, explaining their mission, explaining how important their mission is and how they do their mission. But when you're priorities are taking people off of violent crime, international terrorism, you know, listen, we've had 50 people in terrorist watch list try to enter our country in the last year on the southern border. You know, all of these issues, Doug. I think it's time to start having a conversation legitimate conversation about funding for the FBI and their priorities because they always come and then they ask for more money. I supported, for example, them plussing up their cyber capabilities seemed important seems sort of forward leaning. But you know, what I think they're using those resources for instead of doing the issues I just described and so many other important issues, you know, child sex trafficking and just there's a million issues, as you know, that the FBI investigates. I think they're spending way too much time on these political cases. For example, this one against Donald Trump,

"Really breaking news episode today. I mean Matt is killing it with guests and in the topics they're discussing. Great stuff is we go, Matt, let's just go ahead and dive into it. There's no way around this. If you look at this, I mean, and we're still fresh into this, and a lot of hot takes going on here, but you know, this timing, the thing about this, when you were attorney general, 'cause number one, there's no way this could have gotten done without Chris wray or Merrick Garland knowing about it. What do you think the internal dynamics were that you could imagine inside DoJ with this? Well, I think the internal dynamics are pretty clear. I mean, there was a letter that was sent from the national archives that there was concern about president Trump's handling of presidential records after he moved out of The White House and there was an attempt to resolve that with the national archives and at some point in time this letter was sent to the FBI asking to open up a criminal investigation and that's exactly what the FBI did. You know, Doug, there's a lot of decisions, as you know, that were made in this situation, but I think the most concerning decision that was made was, and I'm sure it was approved by Chris wray and approved by Merrick Garland as attorney general. And that was the execution of a search warrant instead of sending a subpoena or instead of continuing to negotiate on this issue.
