So the ones that I got, they were kind of a blue, the words on the package were blue. And it said, the fancy feast creamy with chicken and salmon in a savory broth. And in the words broth are in this electric blue. And I brought it back. And three for $7. And I got ten. And so I brought them in and I said, I got ten of them so that Mary said she doesn't like the blue ones because it has salmon in the savory broth. She wants just chicken and vegetables in the decadent creamy broth. You want to get the words in orange. And if you said go ahead and say go ahead and take them back. The cat rejected a meal better than what we ate last night in my house. I know. Oh, by the way, she leaves the chicken and vegetables and just has the broth. That's at the bottom. So she says, go ahead and take that back. Let me tell you, there's nothing more that makes you feel like a happy man than walking back into a supermarket with 7 fancy feasts, creamy, savory broths. To return back and I want my money back and I'm explaining it to the man who is behind that counter where they sell the cigarettes, you know, and everything. And he's one of three employees covering a store that's the size of a football field. So he has to stop checking people out. To deal with the fact that I have the wrong kitten broth. So we did that and all of a sudden, our regular stories out of the orange kitten cat broths. I went, oh my God. They don't have orange. I have got to come back. Because otherwise, I come through the door, empty handed. I had failed as a husband. There are three supermarkets within two and a half miles in my house, approximately. I went to the second one, they're out too. I go to the third supermarket and I'm gum, the pet island I'm searching and I'm searching. All of a sudden, there it is, an entire section of the fancy feast creamy with chicken and vegetable in a decadent creamy broth in the orange broth packages. And I reach up to take about ten of them and I say scored scoring and at that point, this woman walked behind me and just kind of looked at me because I'm saying scoring halting fancy feast creamy with chicken and vegetables in a decadent creamy broth packages. And it was at that moment that I said to myself if you ever wore cool, you're not now. Daniel Craig never once was in a pet food aisle, sweating about whether or not he could find the right packages of savory creamy chicken broth for the cat who is going to just slurp it up and then walk away. And if she doesn't get them, she will howl for two hours. Daniel Craig never did that, but that's where I am. "Right. It used to be this really simple little thing. And now asked all of these in depth questions, specifically if they support the church's teachings on marriage family and gender. And so the bishop honestly answered and said that brother bustle has expressed some concerns around the issue, but he is honest in his desire to understand the lord and will come to the right decision on this. Is what the bishop says. Right. And it is the only thing that anybody's been able to suss out that suggested that this guy maybe doesn't have like a 100% in line with the church attitude, right? And then there was this woman who also was released, Dan, that's for you. From her position and you're right, fired. And she said that she and she's clear. She's like, she wasn't shy about raising concerns. From time to time, like in faculty meetings about how the curriculum treated the gay community and in fact she remembers the time where she pushed back against a video that theorized mothers contributed the same sex attraction in their kids. And she said that the speculation in the video was at odds with the church's own stance, spelled out on its website, right, that it does not take a position on the causes of same sex attraction, right? Right. And so but she's clearly a little bit of an agitator from their perspective, right? Just by honestly asking questions, she also talks about how students would come to her or she's had students come to her after a class is wrapped up and say, you know, I'm really glad that she talked about some of your own struggles with faith. That actually meant something to me because I've had questions and that example has helped me decide to stay in the church. Okay. Whatever. It's not how the church sees that. But that's, again, that's not how the church see that they want the perfect example. They don't understand that there's some people that people question, right? Right. And seeing others who question who's decided to stay in could actually be a way to keep people in, right? But instead it has to be 100% 100%. And so she's out, right? But with no explanation, they get a call. It's nobody that they know. They're just called some rando from the office that fires people. And they'd give no explanation. Your contract is so from the office of firing people. Yeah. And you're fired. Yeah. And I got to say, yeah, I think your take on this might not be seeing the forest for the trees entirely because you're saying that everyone's baffled that they're trying to figure out exactly what the infringement was. I think the point here is that the church just wants an excuse to fire people without having to show cause. And this is their reason, their work around. They don't care about anyone who's an agitator. They can just get rid of by saying we revoke their, we don't fire you, but we do revoke your ecclesiastical endorsement and therefore you can't work here anymore. Sure, yeah. No, I just want to get rid of the agitators and, you know, any other university setting, it would be hard to get rid of these people. Well, to show cause other beyond just we hate how they like gay people. Right. Well, the way that the thing that I wanted to tie it into was that the church has gotten some decent press in the last couple of weeks about their support of this, what is it the marriage? It's not defense America, respect for a marriage or whatever. Anyway, the gay marriage bill that just went through Congress. Or making its final little bit of the way through Congress, that would enshrine gay marriage as a right. At least federally in this country. And they're getting because they came out and they were in support of this after they'd gotten some religious concessions and whatnot and one thing. But make no mistake about who these people are, right? Exactly. They finessed that situation so well in order to get some good press out of it. Their PR department is not the same as their retaining professors department. Yeah, so they're getting good press all while they're. Releasing people from their positions. Firing people over having some questions about the church's stance on gay marriage and gay rights and just the place for gay people in the church, right? And it's like make no mistake who they really are. Yeah, so. Absolutely. Well, so my next story is a huge bummer. So trigger warning, there's okay. Not just about the bummer. We're going to mention rape. And it's ugly. Okay. In Los Angeles, there has been a mistrial in a rape trial against actor Danny Masterson, who was on that 70s show. This is the curly redheaded guy on that side. Okay. Yeah. He is accused by three women of rape, but between 2001 and 2003. Including a former girlfriend. Oh, wow. And here's the thing. You might, one might be tempted to ask, why has it taken so long? For this to even go to trial, that was many, many years ago. Well, here's the trick. There was a thread that linked all of these people. Masterson himself and the three accusing women. And that link was the Church of Scientology.

Danny Masterson's Fate Will Only Be Known After Thanksgiving
"I'm very perturbed by this. Danny Masterson. We're not going to discover his fate on those three counts of forcible rape until after Thanksgiving, probably Monday or Tuesday, there was three days of deliberations by the jury, and the town of the deadlock, the deadlock on all three counts. They can't reach unanimous decision and deciding that three days isn't enough to declare a mistrial. The LA superior court judge has sent everybody home for Thanksgiving, the defense team is protesting, and they gave the panel instructions to return on November 28th to start their deliberations again. This is not good if we want this guy locked up. I mean, on some level, it's good because they really want to get to know what they're looking at, but on some level it's been. You know, you always want to slam dunk. Jury came back in two hours. That didn't happen here. But sometimes it feels like we're always waiting for an explosive trial and then nothing happens.

Patty, President Biden's student loan forgiveness plan has suffered another setback today. Kathy Whitman reports a second appeals court agreed to stop the program while the legal challenges continue. A three judge panel of the 8th U.S. circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis blocked the Biden administration from moving forward with its plan to forgive student loan debt for millions of borrowers. This comes only a week after a Texas judge did the same. The administration is appealing the Texas case and is likely to challenge the 8th circuit ruling as well. Professor Rory little, UC Hastings college of the law, says the president acted based on executive authority. In other words, if there wasn't a statute passed, the president announced that he would interpret the statute to allow him to do this widespread loan forgiveness program. The program is suffering setbacks in the appeals court process. It seems like a case it's very likely to get up to the Supreme Court pretty quickly. So what happens to students who have been applying for loan forgiveness now? It's going to be all on hold until the Supreme Court finally resolved it. And if the Supreme Court knocks it down. The best recourse would be to have some legislation enacted very quickly. And the success of that would hinge on the final outcome of the congressional races from the midterm election. Kathy Whitman. And there was a particular play by play yesterday between Masterson's lawyer, appointed by Scientology, they always use their own lawyers and Jane Doe number one. And this is on day number 7 now. And this is going like this is gonna go in a while. And I'm like Spacey, I didn't think things were gonna go so great for Masterson. But the more I read how things are going with this trial, it unfortunately seems as bad a guy as masters and his. I sleazy and disgusting and mean as a guy he is, I think his lawyer of an out lawyer, the lawyer is the four women who stand between Masterson and a 45 year prison sentence, which have served is pretty much a life sentence. It's basically testified for several hours yesterday as he was cross examined by the accuser's lawyer. Spacey was composed as he told the courtroom that he regretted following the advice of his handlers to be friendly and cordial in responding to Anthony rapp's claims in 2017. That's basically picked him up and briefly lay on top of him on a bed in his apartment in 1986 when rapp was 14, and he was 26. Rap is seeking $40 million in damages. A trial of a star from that 70s show is now happening in Los Angeles, actor Danny Masterson is facing three rape charges. A prosecutor says the reason three women are making similar rape allegations against Danny Masterson is that the that 70s show star had a pattern of drugging women than having sex with them without their knowledge or consent, but Masterson's attorney says the accounts are similar because the alleged victim spoke with each other about their experiences, despite a detective's warning not to. It'll be left to a jury to sort out which scenario is the right one. A Moscow's Gabrielle, an arrest in a rape case at a fairfax county hotel, police say the man is accused of raping a woman at a hotel on Westwood center drive in Vienna, October 1st, detectives say the suspect who had a gun got into an unlocked hotel room and assaulted the woman before running off. Police say the suspect was chased by a man who knew the victim after learning of the assault, detectives used hotel security video and video from metro to identify the suspect. An extremist group member is testified in court in Washington that no forms of violence were ruled out in the assault on the capitol on January 6th. A member of the group oath keepers has testified fellow extremists were prepared to use any means necessary on January 6th, 2021 to stop the certification of Joe Biden's electoral victory. The testimony from Jason Dolan came at the trial of Stuart wrote the founder of the oath keepers for others in the far right militia group. They're facing seditious conspiracy and other charges. Dolan is already pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge as part of a cooperation deal with prosecutors as he seeks a lighter sentence.
