"Fifty AM and ninety four one FM. And welcome back. Our final segment with Mark Zicree. Marc will space command qualify for a TV or a movie Oscar category. TV EMMY, George I would love to have an amazing gorgeous gorgeous statue, Ray, Bradbury one one for the Halloween fee. The TV movie of that I've got three regional Emmys from news over my career. And they are so cool. It's great. I love that stuff holding the globe. And all that stuff. It's neat. Let's go back to the calls. You ready for some more? We'll go to Mason Texas Stevens with us on coast to coast. Good morning. Stephen morning, George good to have you with us. More. I have a question. Sure. Why did why did? Twilight zone Goto hour long episodes on season for and how did you think about the whole hour long episode? We know funny because recently when rod conceive wrestling conceiver twilights initially thought, it was going to be an hour show, and he actually wrote real four pilots twilight zone before the show got actually picked up and the first three of those that he wrote were our scripts but finally decided it would be a half hour. But once he started doing it as a half hour. He realized that was the perfect length for the show, and he was very adamantly against it being expanded to an hour. This is something CBS is doing in that period in the early sixties. They did with gun smoke. They did it with the Hitchcock show. And so they thought that they might be able to enlarge the audience by expanding twilights onto an hour. So they took so long deciding that they only gave it really a half a season the fourth season with eighteen episodes, and they were an hour long. And. Yeah. Highlights on really didn't work as well. As at our math, Richard Matson, Charles Beaumont and surly Earl hammer the major writers on twilight on all had one good hour episode age, but at the end of the season pretty much everyone agrees that it needed to go back half dragging at. There's a great hour long episode called on Thursday, we leave for home the stars James Whitmore and rod swimming wrote it, and it's it's just great. It's a terrific but then for the fifth season the fifth and final season. They went back to a half hour thirties were actually twenty twos. Weren't they? Closer to like twenty seven. There were only. They're only fewer commercials back. Then. Those days parliament now, don't they? Sure, do but back laid you most of the both have our was was the episode. And you know, he he did he have a cigarette when he came out. Yeah. You know, it's like he had a cigarette. Much all the time. And he was a four pack a day smuggle got him in the long run. He died of complications from open heart surgery. And you know, he would he really looks older than he was he died at fifty and which is the new thirty amazing. But the boy he got a lot done in the time. He had you. Sure. Did he he pleaded more in his time than most people do at ninety amazing. Let's go to Travis in Omaha Nebraska. Hey, I think that's a home Johnny Carson. Or isn't it? Travis. Travis good. They have. Hope you're doing. Well, you hear me? Yes, sir. Yeah. I I had a couple of questions for Mark. Sure. Yeah. I heard you talking about the movie that you're making is is it just one movie it's going to be a series series. And in fact, the first hour, I've I've YouTube channel called Mr. sci-fi anyone can subscribe to and it's free. And I put the first hour of space command on on my channel significantly watch it, and in fact, we shot a scene with initial Nichols today. And we'll be putting posting footage from that. So it's it's a twelve hour season. And we visited the show is going many seasons multiple seasons like at least five years, and so we're just rocking roller. I've I've been the first eight hours of the twelve hour season and also plea quill. And so I'm by by the next few months, I'll write the entire twelve hours. And then we'll just we'll just shoot all of it and and share with our audience, and it's the new way of doing television, and then our audience just you finances. They buy shares they've gone kickstart throw some money our way, and that'll be popsy part of one full of this is because I have my own studio. I can do a network quality show for much less money. Than the network hallmark God. Because for instance, that Star Trek discovery is over ten million dollars an episode game of thrones is over fifteen dollars and fifteen million dollars. An episode episode is one show. Yeah. One hour, and but they can do it. So far. I've I've as I mentioned my audience is giving me a million dollars and with that I was able to shoot the two hour pilot and forty minutes of the second to our story and we're moving forward. So as I mentioned, we'll be starting a new Kickstarter campaign on Monday. And if anyone wants to buy shares in space command, they can Email me, Mark Zicree, female dot com. And and I can send them all the information. It's and people around the world or buying shares. It's a it's a completely new way of doing television. But I really love it. Because I write it I cast it. I should it. There's no, you know, if you know, the the cast is just wonderful cast of amazing science fiction actors like Bill mummy like Doug Jones. And Robert the cartoon Mira Furlan was box lightning initial Nichols. If I went to a network and said, can I have this cast? They would say no you have to use an actor was just on some hit show on the. W who can't act or women? That's not the CW. But they get the network. It's who you get the cash. No, you don't. And and I don't wanna have that over my head. Another question. Travis. Yeah. I heard him talking about spirituality, like they went to sporran, they have to reach the level of spirituality. And I think that's the thing to focus on for your project. I'm in hardest myself, and I I've done a lot of monster typing and stuff like that. But I haven't really really fast Sifi so often listen to coast to coast over the years. And you know, I I just like hearing Lynn somebody's doing creative processes like this. Yes. And and and you know, when when I talked about, spirituality, it's I, you know, I'm open to whatever someone's personal beliefs are, but I think if if time this is at the heart of that, then you're not gonna go wrong. I think you know, I I I mean Jesus, of course, I'd love one another I believe that. And but you have to be a Christian, you can be a Buddhist or. Jewish like, I am or or or even agnostic or any Theus. I mean, kind this is basically what you do. It's the golden rule, and there's a version of the golden rule pretty much in every every face or and every culture, and it's basically just be kind kind of your family kinds of people you love and be kind on the street. You know, if someone's trying to get into a parking space. There's a garbage can blocking them over across the street move the garbage can and it's just putting that into practice your life in small ways, it has a ripple effect. You don't Robert Davi? Mark have yesterday news work who were close friends with them. So if you ever need him in any of those episodes, let us know we'll get you in touch with them. Thank you. Thank you for that. He's got one of those faces that everybody recognizes of course, of course, let's go to Rick truck. Driving in New Hampshire. Welcome to the program. Hi wreck. Go ahead, sir. Oh, thank you for taking my call. Nice to meet you good conversation tonight. You. Couple of questions. Please, sir. Yeah. The twilight zone I used to see is it got that twirly little thing. Black and white. Yes. Yes. Are you still using that that fame and your goose show that all yeah? On the new twilight zone, they're using original same in that. And those those motifs yet whether so I kinda they're they're gorgeous. Yeah. That's my bring. Yeah. Bring you a lot of people attention to the black hole. You know, did you believe aliens? When you first started writing ear Europe strips that you believe in any space off creatures of any kind. Definitely intelligent life in the universe. And you know, I I don't really go beyond that in in saying, what's what's real? And what's not in terms of UFO's or any of that? But but I think that life probably is throughout the university. Now, no planets are on pretty much every star. And so I think life is going to be throughout the universe. Just like very fertile fields grows all sorts of crops super thank you rack. Appreciate it. I feel like I'm committing a sin. If I watched the new twilight zone episodes. I wouldn't go that far. But it's definitely. It's not the old show. It's not what's really was able to pull off. I mean, you know, it takes such a lot of great people coming together and just the right way to make magic happen. You know, it's when something catches fire, and it's lightning in a bottle. And rod sterling certainly accomplished that anymore says he works hard to possibly could any. He he pulls it off. And it's an amazing amazing thing. I just you go back to those original shows, and there's just their jewels. Their amazing let's go to beaver Utah. Marie with us. Hello marie. Go ahead. Are you there actually with? Their stock. The next generation, Marcus. Okay. It was Nevoso that was fit in coach trouble troubles. So yes, of course, it's a class. That's a great up. So that was the only original Star Trek series. And I was written by David Gerald who actually went to college with my wife. My wife read that script in the first draft. And and I I know David very well in I saw not long ago, and it's a great upset in tackling. We were shooting the shell Nichols house. She played Hora individual Star Trek. There was a bowl of trebles on on on. So it's a really fun really really fun episode. But the guy who well, David, Gerald. You know, them all Mark. Yep. Yep. Yep. They're my heroes. These writers are just wonderful. I mean as soon as I was old enough. I went and win search of them, and they became friends and mentors. And you know, they were just just really brilliant writers. What's the reaction? But in Hollywood about the way, you're doing space command. When I meet with network, executives and executives at Netflix, which I did a few weeks ago there by what I'm doing. And any really admire the fact that I can raise money for my audience that got millions of fans around the world, it's significant and and the people who are creating series, you know, with children's network that I'm now creating where I'm going to create six new series with six major children, and these are people who've done the greatest hits in television. And when I invite them to come aboard they want to because they want the freedom that this offers. They want the freedom that they can write what they wanna right. They can say what they wanna say. They can we there's one show that we're going to be creating where we can reach out to all these wonderful actors, the we that we love there's an actress named Barbara Dane who was on mission impossible and space nineteen ninety nine and a friend of mine knows. All right. A role for role for her and why not super do a game show? I want to redo the what's my line show. Yes. That was such a great show. I love that shows that cool. Yeah. I mean when you look at it, they you had ten times to get it. Right. If you had ten wrong answers, they flip over the cards, and they tell the person what is on compassion was or whatever. And they they were each one was five dollars when a flipped the card that was just unbelievable as they hit the sponsor's name across the front of the desk that the four panelists were sitting at was brought to you by some perspiration company. They they had that splattered across there. Television. Oh, it's great. I love fact, that YouTube has a lot of those shows where you can go back and watch the old Kenneth scopes from the fifties..

Are you there actually? But stock the next generation, Marcus. For that show. Okay. It was Napa that was fit in called trouble trouble. So yes, of course. That's a great up. So that was original Star Trek series. And I was written by David Gerald who actually went to college with my wife. My wife read that script in the first draft. And and I I know David very well in not not long ago, and it's a great upset shooting the shell Nichols house. She played a in Star Trek. There was a bowl of triples on. So it's really fun. Really really fun episode. The guy who well, David, Gerald. You know, Mark. Yep. Yep. Yep. They're my heroes. These writers are just wonderful. I mean soon as I was old enough. I wouldn't win search of them, and they became friends and mentors. And you know, they were just just really brilliant writers. What's the reaction? And when I invite them to come aboard they want to because they want the feedom that offers they want the freedom. That they can write what they wanna right. They can say what they wanna say. They can we there's one show that we're going to be creating where we can reach out to all these wonderful actors that we that we love there's an actual name Barbara Bain who was on mission impossible is based nineteen ninety nine and friend of my nose. Right. Right. A role for role for her and why not super? Yeah. Do a game show. I've never done. I wanna redo the what's my line show. Yes. That was such a great show. I love that shows that cool. Yeah. I mean when you look at it, they in the you had ten times to get it. Right. If you had ten wrong answers, they flip over the cards, and they tell the person what is our compassion was or whatever. They had that splattered across their. That's right television. Oh, it's great. I love the fact that YouTube has a lot of those shows where you can go back and watch the old Kenneth scopes from the fifties. And it's just I was just watching Alfred Drake in kiss me Kate and Kenneth scope of broadcast was done live in the fifties. So it's it's I think you I think the internet is such an enormously powerful and wonderful thing, and it can be it can have negative sides. Of course. But I think it's brought the world to us the way that was not possible before the one thing that it did lack in in you notice that right away is it did not have a presence of minorities all in. They just for some reason they didn't even recognize that. And that was crazy. Taste anything. There's a great of twilights on called the big tall. Wish that starts. I haven't Dickson has a most of the cast is black and rod Serling load. It's terrific. And there's a little boy in it who's wonderful that and I was trying to find him every time I wrote new additions of the twilight zone companion trying to find him and finally about two weeks ago. I found him he owns a Cajun restaurant here in Los Angeles. And so I'm going to be going there. And see if I can get them to do an audio commentary of that upset I think it would be just a riff does. He know you're coming in there. I've talked some of his employees. So we're definitely gonna have an amazing time when we made his name is Steven Perry. And he's a phenomenal actor he was he was he was every bit as good as Billy mummy, and but African American and I can't wait to meet him..

Oh, thank you for taking my call. Hi, Mark nice to embark good conversation. A couple of questions. Please, sir. Yeah. Twilight zone. I used to say that it got that twirly little thing in white. Yes. Yes. Are you still using that that theme and your hairdo show that all yeah? On the new twilight on they're using original same and that and those those motifs you have other. So I can't it. They're they're gorgeous. Yeah. That's what. Yeah. Bring a lot of people catch into effect black hole. You know? Did you believe aliens? When you first started writing, your scripts that you believe in any space off creatures of any time. I definitely intelligent life in the universe. And you know, I don't really go beyond that in in saying, what's what's real, and what's not into view of photos or any of that. But but I think that life probably throughout the university. Now, no planets are on pretty much every star. And so I think life is going to be throughout the universe. Just like very fertile field grows all sorts of crops. Super. Thank you reckon pre. I feel like I'm committing a sin. If I watched the new twilight zone episodes, I wouldn't go that far. But it's definitely. It's not the old show. It's not what's really was able to pull off. I mean, you know, it takes such a lot of great people coming together and just the right way to make magic happen. It's was catches fire, and it's lightning in a bottle in rod sterling certainly accomplished that anymore as he works hard to possibly could any he pulled it off. And it's an amazing amazing thing. I just you go back to those original shows, and there's just their gills their amazing. Let's beaver Utah marines with us. Hello marie. Go ahead. Are you there familiar with? But star the next generation, Marcus. For that show. Okay. It was Napa that was in called trouble trouble. So yes, of course, it's a classic. That's great. So that was really ritual Star Trek series. And I was written by David Gerald who actually went to college with my wife. My wife read that script in the first draft. And and I I know David very well in not long ago, and it's a great up some shooting the shell Nichols house. She played a horror start. There was a bowl of triples on other. So it's really fun. Really really fun episode. The guy who voted David, Gerald. You know? All mark. Yep. Yep. Yep. They're my heroes. These writers are just wonderful. I mean, if I wouldn't win search to them, and they became friends and mentors. And you know, they were just just really really writers. What's the reaction? But in Hollywood about the way, you're doing space command dating when I meet with never executives and executive Netflix, which I did a few weeks ago by what I'm doing. And and they really admire the fact that I can raise money for my audience that got millions of fans around the world, it's significant and and the people who are quitting series. You know with children network that I'm creating where I'm going to create six new series with six major show, and these are people who've done the greatest hits in television. And when I invite them to come aboard they want to because they want the freedom that this offers. They want the freedom. That they can write what they wanna right. They can say what they wanna say. They can there's going to be creating where we can reach out to all these wonderful actors that we that we love there's actually Barbara Bain who was on mission impossible based nineteen ninety nine and a friend of mine knows. Right. Right. A row for role for her. And why not that's Uber. Yeah. Do a game show. I've never mind. I wanna redo the what's my line show. Yes. That was such a great show. I love that shows that cool. Yeah. I mean when you look at it, they the you had ten times to get it. Right. If you had ten wrong answers, they flip over the cards, and they, you know, tell the person what is occupied was or whatever. And they they were each will was five dollars when a flipped the card was just on the lead as and they had the sponsor's name across the front of the desk that the four panelists were sitting at you know, so if it was it was brought to you by some perspiration company. They had that splattered across their all time television. Oh, it's great. I love you too has a lot of those shows where you can go back and watch the old Kenneth scopes from the fifties. And it's just I was just watching elephant rates in kiss me Kate and Kenneth scope of broadcast was alive in the fifties. So it's it's I think YouTube, I think the internet is such an enormously powerful and wonderful thing it, can you can have negative sides. Of course. But I think it's brought the world to us the way that was not possible before the one thing that it did lack in and you notice that right away is it did not have a presence of minorities at all in. They just for some reason they didn't even recognize that. And that was crazy. Anything? There's a great upset of twilight zone called the big tall. Wish that starts Ivan Dixon Hasim. Most of the cast is black and rod surly loaded. Terrific. Some there's a little boy in it who's wonderful it, and I was trying to find him every time I wrote the twilight zone companion trying to find him and finally about two weeks ago. I found him he owns a Cajun restaurant here in Los Angeles. And.

"Welcome back. Our final segment with Mark Zicree. Marc will space. Command qualify for a TV EMMY or a movie Oscar category TV, EMMY, George I would love to have a gorgeous gorgeous statue rate. Bribery, one one for the Halloween TV movie of that. I've got three regional Emmys for news over my career. And they are so cool. It's great. I love that stuff. Holding the globe. And all that stuff. It's neat. Let's go back to the calls. You ready for some more? We'll go to Mason Texas Stevens with us on coast to coast. Good morning. Stephen good morning. Good to have you with us. More. I have a question. Why did why did? Twilight zone Goto hour long episodes on season four, and how did you think about the whole hour long episode? We not funny because originally when rod conceive ransoming conceive, a twilight initially thought it was going to be an hour show, and he actually wrote real four pilots twilight zone for the show got actually picked up and the first three of those that he wrote were our scripts the finally decided it would be a half hour. But once he started doing it as a half hour. He realized that was the perfect length for the show, and he was very adamantly against it being stand to an hour. This is something CBS is doing in that period in the early sixties. They did with gun smoke. They did it with the offer Tich cock show. And so they thought that they might be able to a large the audience by expanding twilights onto an hour. So they took so long deciding that only gave it really I have season the fourth season was eighteen episodes, and they were an hour long. And. Twilights really didn't work as well. As at our math, Richard Matheson, Charles Beaumont and surly Earl hammer the major writers on twilight zone all had one good hour episode age, but at the end of the season pretty much agreed that go back half. I was dragging at. Though, there's a great hour long episode called on Thursday, we leave for home the stars, James Whitmore. And rod swing wrote it, and it's it's just great. It's a drift episode but then for the fifth season and final season. They went back to our thirties were actually twenty two weren't they were actually closer to twenty seven. They're only they're only fewer commercials back then those days. Now, don't they? Sure do but the back then they mostly both. That was was the episode. And you know, he he did he have a cigarette when he came out. Yeah. You know, it's like he had a cigarette is pretty much all the time. And he was a four pack a day smuggle in the long run. I mean, you died of complications from open heart surgery, and you know, he would he really looks older than he was he died at fifty and which is the new thirty amazing. But the boy got a lot done in the time. He had. Did he he did more in his time than most people do at ninety? Let's go to Travis in Omaha Nebraska. Hey, I think that's a home Ajami. Carson. Isn't it? Travis Travis Willis doing well. Yes, sir. Yeah. I I had a couple of questions. The Mark, sir. Yeah. I heard you talking about the movie that you're making is is it just one movie it's going to be a serious serious. And in fact, the first hour, I've I've YouTube channel called Mr. sci-fi anyone can subscribe to and it's free. And I put the first hour of space command on on my channel, actually, watch it. And in fact, we shot a scene with initial Nichols today. We'll be posting footage from that. So it's it's a twelve hour season. And we going many seasons multiple seasons like at least five years, and so we're just rock and roll. I've I've been the first eight hours of the twelve hour season and also plea quell. And so I'm by by the next few months, the entire twelve hours. And then we'll just we'll just shoot all of it and share with our audience, and it's the new way of television, and then our audience, just you know, finances, they buy shares they've gone kick-starting throw some money our way, and that'll be popsy part of one thing this is because I have my own studio. I can do a network quality show for much. This money than the network all God. Because for instance, that Star Trek discovery is over ten million dollars an episode game of thrones is over fifteen fifteen million dollars. An episode episode is one show. Yes. Yeah. One hour, and but basecamp I can do it. So far, I've as I mentioned my audience is giving me a million dollars. And with that. I was able to the two hour pilot and forty minutes of the second to our story and we're moving forward. So as I mentioned, we'll be starting a new Kickstarter campaign on Monday. And if anyone wants to buy shares in space command, they can Email me at Mark Zicree, female dot com. And and I can send them all the information. It's m people around the world are buying shares. It's it's a completely new way of doing television. But I really love it. Because I write it. I cast it I shoot it. There's no, you know, if you know, the the cast is wonderful cast of amazing science fiction actors like Bill me like Doug Jones, and Robert Picard and Mira Furlan boxed Lightner initial Nichols. If I went to a network and said, can I have this cast? They would say no you'll use an actor was just on some hitch show on the CW who can't act. That's not w but they get the network at safely get Castell. You don't. And and I don't want to have that over my head another ques-. Travis. Yeah. I heard him talking about spirituality, like they went to spore, and they have to kinda the level of spirituality. Yeah. I think that the focus on for your project. I'm in artists myself. And I I've done a lot of monster type aiding and stuff like that. But I haven't really really fast site by so often listen to coast to coast over the years. And you know, I just like hearing when somebody's doing creative processes like this. Yes. And and you know, when when I talk about spirituality, it's I, you know, I'm open to whatever someone's personally are. But I think if if kindness is at the heart of that, then you're not gonna go wrong. I think you know, I I I mean Jesus, of course, I'd love one another I believe that. And you have to be a Christian, you can get Buddhist or Jewish like, I am or or or even agnostic or any Theus. I mean, kind this is basically what you do. It's the golden rule, and there's a version of the golden rule pretty much in every every faith or. And every culture, and it's basically just be kind kind of your family kind of people you love and be kind on the street. You know, someone's trying to get into a parking space a garbage can blocking them over across the street and move the garbage can and it's just putting that into practice your life, and small ways as rentals fact, you know, Robert Dhabi, Mark have you seen these? We're close friends with them. So if you ever need him in any of those episodes, let us know we'll get you in touch with him. Thank you. Thank you for that. He's got one of those faces that everybody recognizes of course, of course, let's go to Rick truck. Driving a New Hampshire. Welcome to the program. Hi wreck. Go ahead, sir. When you first started writing ear Europe scripts that you believe in any space off creatures of any kind definitely intelligent life in the universe. And you know, I don't really go beyond that in in saying, what's what's real? And what's not in terms of you afford or any of that? But but I think that life probably throughout the university. And in fact, the first hour, I've I've YouTube channel called Mr. sci-fi that anyone can subscribe to and it's free. And I put the first hour command on on my channel actually, watch it. And it's actually shot a scene with initial Nichols today. We'll be putting posting from that. So it's it's a twelve hour season. And we envisioned the show is going many seasons multiple seasons like at least five years, and so we're just rock and roll. I've I've been the first eight hours of the twelve hour season and also plea quell. And so I'm by by the next few months, the entire twelve hours, and then we'll shoot all of it and share with our audience, and it's the new way of doing television, and then our audience just you know, finances they buy shares. They've gone kick start some money our way, and that'll be part of one thing this is because I have my own studio. I can do a network quality. So. For much less money than the network Homar God because for instance, that Star Trek discovery is over ten million dollars an episode game of thrones is over fifteen fifteen million dollars. An episode episode is one show. Yes. Yeah. One hour. And but base command I can do it. So far. I've I've as I mentioned my body was giving me a million dollars. And with that I was able to shoot the two hour pilot and forty minutes of the second to our story and we're moving forward. So as I mentioned we'll be starting to kick start a campaign on Monday. And if anyone wants to buy shares space command, they can Email me, Mark Zicree. It's Email dot com. And and I can send them all the information. It's and people around the world or buying shares. It's it's a completely new way of doing television. But but I really love it. Because I write it. I cast it I shoot it. There's no, you know, if you know, the the cast is wonderful cast of amazing science fiction actors like they'll be like Doug Jones and Robert Picard win Mira Furlan loose box lightning Nichols. If I went to a network and said, can I have this cast? They say no you have to use an actor was just on. Some hitch show on the CW who can't act or whatever that's not the CW, but they get the network at safely get Castell. You don't. And and I don't wanna have that over my head. And you have another question. Travis. Yeah. I heard him talking about spirituality, like they went to and they have to breach the level of spirituality. Yeah. I would think the focused on for your project. I'm in hardest myself. And I I done a lot of mobster type aiding and stuff like that. But I haven't really really fast Sifi so often listen to coast to coast over the years. And you have to be a Christian. Buddhist or Jewish like, I am or or or even diagnostic or I mean kindness is basically what you do. It's the golden rule, and there's a version of the golden rule pretty much in every every faith or and every culture, and it's basically just become the kind of your family be kind of cable you love and be kind on the street. You know, if someone's trying to get into a parking spaces a garbage can blocking them over across the street and move the garbage cans, and it's just putting that into your life and small ways it has a ripple effect. You know, Robert Davi Mark have. Yes. We're close friends with them. So if you ever need him in any of those episodes, let us know we'll get you in touch with them. Well, thank you. Thank you for that. He's got one of those faces that everybody recognizes of course, of course, let's go to Rick truck. Driving New Hampshire. Welcome to the program. Hi wreck. Go ahead, sir. Oh, thank you for taking my call. I mart likes to Mark. Good conversation tonight. A couple of questions. Please, sir. Yeah. Twilight zone. I got that twirly little thing. Black and white. Yes. Yes. Are you still using that that same and stared show that? Yeah. On the neutralize using original fame, and that and those those motifs you have other. So I thought it they're gorgeous. Yeah. That's bring. Yeah. Bring a lot of people catch into a black hole. You know? Did you believe that Hailey is when you first started writing Europe strips if you believe in any space off creatures of any kind definitely intelligent life in the universe. And you know, I don't really go beyond that in in saying, what's what's real, and what's not into view of foes or any of that. But but I think that life probably throughout the university. Now, no planets are pretty much every star. And so I think life is going to be throughout the universe. Just like very fertile field grows all sorts of crops. Super. Thank you, read, compression. I feel like I'm committing a sin. If I watched the new twilight zone episodes, I wouldn't go that far. But it's definitely. It's not the old show. It's not what's only was able to pull off. I mean, you know, it takes such a lot of great people coming together and just the right way to make magic happen. It's what's catches fire, and it's lightning bottle in rod sterling certainly accomplished that anymore as he works harder to possibly could and the pulled it off. And it's an amazing amazing thing. I just you back to those original shows, and there's just their gills. They're amazing. Let's go to beaver Utah marines with us. Hello maria. Go ahead. Are you there familiar? That stocks the next generation, Marcus. For that show. Okay. It was Nevoso that was it called trouble trouble. Oh, yes. Of course. That's a great up. So that was the only ritual Star Trek series. And I was written by David Gerald who actually went to college with my wife. My wife read that script in the first draft. And and I I know David very well. In fact, I found out not long ago, and it's a great upset shooting the shell Nichols house. She played a little Star Trek. There was a bowl of triples on. There. So it's really fun. Really really fun episode. Guy. So well, David, Gerald. You know, Mark. Yep. Yep. Yep. They're my heroes. These writers are just wonderful. I mean, if I wouldn't win search for them, and they became friends and mentors. And you know, they were just just really brilliant writer. What's the reaction? But in Hollywood about the way, you're doing space command fascinating. When I meet with network, executives and executives at Netflix, which I did a few weeks ago there say by what I'm doing. And and they really admire the fact that I can raise money for my audience that got millions of fans around the world, it's significant and and the people who are creating series, you know, with the show runners network that I know creating where I'm gonna create six new series with six major children as these are people who've done the greatest hits in television. And when I invite them to come aboard they want to because they want the freedom that offers they want the feed them. That they can write what they want. Right. They can say what they wanna say. They can we there's one show that we're going to be creating where we can reach out to all these wonderful actors that we that we love there's an actress named Barbara Bain who was on mission impossible is based nineteen ninety nine and a friend of mine knows. Right. Right. A row for role for her. And why not super? Yeah. Do a game show I've never done. I wanna redo the what's my line show. Yes. That was such a great show. I love that shows that cool. Yeah. I mean when you look at it, they in the you had ten times to get it. Right. If you had ten wrong answers, they flip over the cards, and they, you know, tell the person what is ocupation was or whatever. And they they were each will was five dollars when the card that was just on the lead as and they had the sponsor's name across the front of the desk that the four panelists were sitting at it was it was brought to you by some perspiration company. That splattered across their all time television. Oh, it's great. I love the YouTube has a lot of those shows where you can go back and watch the old Kenneth scopes from the fifties. And it's just I was just watching Alfred Drake in kiss me Kate and Kenneth scope of broadcast on live in the fifties. So it's it's it I think YouTube, I think the internet is such an enormously powerful and wonderful thing, and it can be it can have negative sides. Of course. But I think it's brought the world to us the way that was not possible before in the one thing that it did lack any and you notice that right away is it did not have a presence of minorities. Now at all in. They just for some reason they didn't even recognize that. And that was funny anything there's a great upset of twilight zone called the big tall wish that starts Ivan Dixon. Most of the cast is black and rod Serling wrote. It's terrific Epsom. There's a little boy in it who's wonderful that and I was. Trying to find him every time I wrote new additions of the twilight zone contains trying to find him and finally about two weeks ago. I found him he owns a Cajun restaurant here in Los Angeles. And so I'm going to be going there and seeing if I can maybe get an audio commentary of that. I think it would be just rift. He know you're coming in there. I've taught some of his employees. So we're definitely gonna have an amazing time. When we meet his name is Steven Perry. And he's a phenomenal actor he was he was he was every bit as good as Billy mummy, and but African American and I can't wait to meet him. It's gonna be it's gonna be just so much fun. If you don't get on this hour because we're almost done here with Mark Zicree genome. Check in with you to see if you fit in for the open lines are coming up..

"Six ninety. And welcome back. Our final segment with Mark Zicree. Marc will space. Command qualify for a TV EMMY or a movie Oscar category. I think TV EMMY, George I would love to have an amazing gorgeous gorgeous statue, Ray, Bradbury one one for the Halloween fee. The TV movie of that I've got three regional Emmys from news over my career. And they are so cool. It's great. I love that stuff. Holding globe. And all that stuff. It's neat. Let's go back to the calls. You ready for some more? We'll go to Mason Texas Stevens with us on coast to coast. Good morning. Stephen good morning. Good to have you with us. More. I have a question. Sure. Why does why did? Twilight zone Goto hour long episodes on season four, and how did you think about the whole hour long episode? We not funny because originally when rod conceive rustling conceiver twilights initially thought it was going to be an hour show any actually wrote real four pilots twilight zone before the show got actually picked up and the first three of those were our scripts the finally decided it would be a half hour. But once he started doing it as a half hour. He realized that was the perfect life for the show, and he was very adamantly against it being extended to an hour. This is something CBS is doing in that period in the early sixties. They did with gun smoke. They did it with the Hitchcock show. And so they thought that they might be able to a large audience by expanding twilights onto an hour. So they took so long deciding that they only gave it really I have season. So the fourth season was eighteen episodes, and they were an hour long. And. Twilights on just really didn't work as well. As our math, Richard Matheson, Charles Beaumont and surly Earl hammer the major writers on twilight zone all had one good hour episode age, but at the end of the season, everyone agreed that it needs to go back half dragging. Though, there's a great hour long episode called on Thursday for home, this starts with more. And rod swing wrote it, and it's it's great. It's terrific episode. But then for the fifth season fifth and final season. They went back to our thirties were actually twenty two weren't they were actually closer to like twenty seven. They're only they're only few commercials back then those. Yeah. Now, don't they? Sure do. But the vaccine you most of the most was was the episode. And you know, he he did he have a cigarette when he came out. Yeah. You know, it's like he had a cigarette. Much all the time. And he was a four pack a day smuggle in the long run. Died of complications from open heart surgery. And you know, he would he really lets older than he was he died at fifty and which is the new thirty amazing. But the boy he got a lot done in the time. He had that. He he he did more in his time than most people do at ninety amazing. Let's go to Travis in Omaha Nebraska. Hey, I think that's a home. Johnny carson. Isn't it? Travis travis. Doing. Well. Yes, sir. I can do a network quality show for much. This money than the network hallmark God. Because for instance, is that Star Trek discovery is over ten million dollars an episode game of thrones is over fifteen fifteen million dollars. An episode episode is one show. Yes. Yeah. One hour. It's it's a completely new way of doing television. But but I really love it. Because I write it. I cast it I shoot it. There's no, you know, if you know, the the cast is wonderful cast of amazing science fiction actors like Bill like Doug Jones, and Robert McCartney Furlan loose box Lightner initial Nichols. If I went to a network and said, can I have this cast? They say no you have to use an actor was just on some hit. On the CW who can't act or whatever that's not the CW. But they get the network at say who you get castle. You don't. And and I don't wanna have that over my head question. Travis. Yeah. I heard him talking about spirituality like they went to school, and they have to reach the level of spirituality. Yeah. Good thing to focus on for your project. I'm in hardest myself, and I I done a lot of monster type aiding and stuff like that. But I haven't really really fast site by so often listen to coast to coast over the years. I've written that starts thirty thirty years from now, and that's gonna be a graphic novel in an audio play because I love radio drama, but the show itself takes starts sixty years from now, and then goes one hundred and fifty years beyond that. I used to see is it got that twirly little black and white. Yes. Yes. Are you still using that that game and your goose show that? Yeah. On the new twilight using original same in that. And those those motifs yet whether so I it to they're they're gorgeous. Yeah. That's what bring. Yeah. Bring a lot of people catch into like the black hole. You know? Did you believe aliens? "And one zero four seven FM. And welcome back. Our final segment with Mark Zicree. Marc will space. Command qualify for a TV EMMY or a movie Oscar category TV, EMMY, George I would love to have a gorgeous, gorgeous statue, rape bribery. One one for the Halloween fee. The TV movie of that I've got three regional Emmys from news over my career. And they are so cool. It's great. I love that stuff. Holding the little globe. And all that stuff. It's neat nuts. Go back to the calls. You ready for some more? We'll go to Mason Texas Stevens with us on coast-to-coast. Good morning. Stephen good morning, George. Good to have you with us. More. I have a question. Why did why did? Twilight zone Goto hour long episodes on season four, and how did you think about the whole hour long episode? We not funny because usually when rod conceive wrestling conceiver twilights initially thought, it was going to be an hour show any actually wrote real four pilots twilight zone before the show got actually picked up and the first three of those were our scripts the finally decided it would be a half hour. But once he started doing it at the half hour. He realized that was the perfect links for the show, and he was very adamantly against it being extended to an hour. CBS is doing in that period in the early sixties. They did with gun smoke. They did it with the Hitchcock's though. And so they thought that they might be able to a large the audience by expanding twilights onto an hour. So they took so long deciding that they only gave it really I have season the fourth season with eighteen episodes, and they were an hour long. And. Twilight zone just really didn't work as well. As at our math, Richard Matheson, Charles Beaumont and surly Earl hammer the major writers on twilight zone all had one good hour episode age, but at the end of the season pretty much everyone agrees that it needs to go back half dragging at. There's a great hour long episode called on Thursday for home. This starts with more and rod swimming loaded. And it's it's just great. It's terrific. But then for the fifth season fifth and final season. They went back to a half hour thirties were actually twenty two weren't they actually closer to like twenty seven. They're only they're only fewer commercials back then those days now, don't they do, but the vaccinate you mostly both. That have our was was the episode. And you know, he he did he have a cigarette when he came out. Yeah. You know, it's like he had a cigarette all the time, and he was a four pack a day smuggle in the long run. Died of complications from open heart surgery. And you know, he would he really looks older than he was he died at fifty and which is the new thirty amazing. But the boy he got a lot done in the time. He had the he pleaded more in his time than most people do at ninety. Let's go to Travis in Omaha Nebraska. Hey, I think that's a home Johnny Carson, or isn't it? Travis. Travis Willis doing well. Yes, sir. Yeah. I I had a couple of questions for Mark, sir. Yeah. I heard you talking about the movie that you're making is is it just one it's going to be a series series. And in fact, the first hour, I've I've YouTube channel called Mr. sci-fi anyone can subscribe to and it's free. And I put the first hour of space command on on my channel, actually, watch it. And in fact, we shot a scene with initial Nichols today. And we'll be posting from that. So it's it's a twelve hour season. And we visited the show going many seasons multiple seasons like at least five years, and so we're just rock and roll. I've I've been the first eight hours of the twelve hour season and also plea quell. And so I'm by the next. All right. The entire twelve hours, and then we'll just shoot all of it and share with our audience, and it's the new way of doing television, and then our audience just you finances. They buy shares they've gone kick-starting throw some money our way, and that'll be part of one whole thing. This is because I land studio, I can do a network quality show from much. Less money than the network hallmark God. Because for instance, that starts discovery is over ten million dollars an episode game of thrones is over fifteen fifteen million dollars. An episode episode is one show. Yes. Yes. One hour, and but I can do it. So far. I've I've as I mentioned my audience is giving me a million dollars and with that I was able to shoot the two hour pilot and forty minutes of the second to our story and we're moving forward. So as I mentioned, we'll be starting a new Kickstarter campaign on Monday. And if anyone wants to buy shares in space command, they can Email me, Mark, Zicree dot com. And and I can send them all the information. It's and people around the world buying shares. It's a completely new way of doing television. But but I really love it. Because I write it. I cast it I shoot it. There's no, you know, you know, the the cast is wonderful cast of amazing science fiction actors like Bill, let me like Doug Jones, and Robert Picard when Mira Furlan loose box Lightner in the shell Nichols. If I went to a network and said, can I have this cast? They say no, you'll use an actor was just on some hitch. On the CW who can't act or women. That's not the CW, but they the network at safely get cash. No, you don't. And and I don't want to have that over my head. Another question. Travis. Yeah. I heard him talking about spirituality like they went to sporran. They have to reach the level of spirituality. Yeah. I think that the focus on for your project. I'm in hardest myself. And I I've done a lot of monster type aiding and stuff like that. I haven't really really fast Sifi so often listen to coast to coast over the years. And you know, I just like hearing Lynn somebody think creative processes like this. Yes. And and you know, when when I talk about spirituality, it's I, you know, I'm open to whatever someone's personally are. But I think if if kindness is at the heart of that, then you're not going to go wrong. I think you know, I I I mean Jesus, of course, I'd love one another I believe that and you'll have to be a Christian. You can be a Buddhist. Or Jewish like, I am or or or even agnostic or any Theus. I mean, kindness, especially what you do. It's the golden rule, and there's a version of the golden rule pretty much in every every faith or and every culture, and it's basically just become the kind of your family kinds of people you love and be kind on the street. You know, if someone's trying to get into a parking spaces a garbage can blocking them over across the street and move the garbage can and it's just putting that into practice your life in small ways, it has a ripple effect. You don't Robert Davi Mark have you seen who were close friends with them? So if you ever need him in any of those episodes, let us know we'll get you in touch with them. Thank you. They're they're gorgeous. Yeah. That's my bring. Yeah. Bring a lot of people catch into the black hole. You know? Did you believe aliens? When you first started writing ear Europe strips. Did you believe at space off creatures of any kind definitely intelligent life in the universe? And you know, I I don't really go beyond that in in saying, what's what's real? Appreciate it. I feel like I'm committing a sin. If I watched the new twilight zone episodes. I wouldn't go that far. But it's definitely it's not the old show. So that was original Star Trek series. And I was written by David Gerald who actually went to college with my wife. My wife read that script in the first draft. And and I I know David very well in tax on not long ago. And it's a great Epson shooting the shell Nichols house. She played a and there was there was a bowl of trebles on hundred. "Back. Our final segment with Mark Zicree. Marc will space. Command qualify for a TV EMMY or a movie Oscar category. I think TV EMMY, George I would love to have an amazing gorgeous, gorgeous statue, right bribery. One one for the Halloween fee. The TV movie of that I've got three regional Emmys for news over my career. They are so cool. It's great. I love that stuff. Holding globe. And all that stuff. It's neat. Let's go back to the calls. You ready for some more? We'll go to Mason Texas Stevens with us on coast to coast. Good morning. Stephen good morning. Good to have you with us. More. I have a question. Why did why did? Twilight zone. Our long upsets on season four, and how did you think about the whole hour long episode? We not funny because originally when rod conceive read so inconceiva- twilights initially thought it was going to be an hour show. He actually wrote real four pilots twilight zone for the show got actually picked up and the first three of those that were our scripts that finally decided it would be a half hour. But once he started doing it as a half hour. He realized that was the perfect length for the show, and he was very adamantly against it being extended to an hour. This is something CBS is doing in that period in the early sixties. They did with gun smoke. They did it with the talk show. And so they thought that they might be able to large the audience by standing twilights onto an hour. So they took so long deciding that they only gave it really I have season. So the fourth season with eighteen episodes, and they were an hour long. And. Twilights just really didn't work as well. As at our math, Richard Matheson, Charles Beaumont and surly Earl hammer the major writers on twilights all had one good hour episode age. But at the end of the season everyone agrees that it needed to go back half. I was dragging at. There's a great hour long episode called on Thursday for home. This starts James Whitmore. And rod Serling wrote it, and it's it's just great. It's a drift. But then for the fifth season of final season. They went back to our thirties were actually twenty two weren't they actually closer to twenty seven. There were only really fewer commercials back then. Now, don't they? Sure, do but the back then they mostly most was the episode. In you know, he he didn't he have a cigarette when he came out, you know, it's like he had a cigarette as much all the time. And he was a feel four pack a day smuggle in the long run. Guide of of complications from open heart surgery. And you know, he would he really let's older than he was he died at fifty and which is the new thirty amazing. But the boy got a lot done in the time. He had that he he pleaded more in his time than most people do at ninety. Let's go to Travis in Omaha Nebraska. Hey, I think that's a home. Johnny carson. Isn't it? Travis travis. Doing. Well. You hear me? Yes, sir. Yeah. I had a couple of questions. The Mark, sir. Yeah. I heard you talking about the movie that you're making is is it just one movie it's going to be a serious series. And in fact, the first hour I channel called Mr. sci-fi anyone can subscribe to and it's free. And I put the first hour of space command on on my channel, actually, watch it. And in fact, we seen with initial Nichols today. We'll be putting posting footage from that. So it's it's a twelve hour season. And we usually show is going many seasons multiple seasons like at least five years, and so we're just rocking roller. I've I've been the first eight hours of the twelve hour season and also prequel. And so I'm by the next few months, right? The entire twelve hours. And then we'll just we'll just shoot all of it and share with our audience, and it's the new way of doing television, and then our audience just you finances. They buy shares. They've gone kick. Start some money our way, and that'll be part of one of this is because I have my own studio. I can do a network quality show for much. Less money than the network Homar God. Because for instance, Star Trek discovery is over ten million dollars an episode game of thrones is over fifteen fifteen million dollars. An episode episode is one show. Yes. Yeah. One hour, and but. I can do it. So far. I've I've as I mentioned my audience is giving me a million dollars and with that I was able to shoot the two hour pilot and forty minutes of the second to our story and we're moving forward. So as I mentioned, we'll be starting a new Kickstarter campaign on Monday. And if anyone wants to buy shares in space command, they can Email me, Mark, Zicree itchy mail dot com. And and I can send them all the information. It's and people around the world buying shares. It's it's a completely new way of doing television. But I really love it because I ride it. I cast it I shoot it. There's no, you know, if you know, the the cast is wonderful cast of amazing science fiction actors like they'll let me like Doug Jones, and Robert Picard when Mira Furlan loose box lighter in the shell Nichols. If I went to a network and said, can I have this cast? They say no you have to use an actor was just on some hitch on the CW who can't act or whatever that's not the CW. But they get the network at you get cash will you don't. And and I don't want to have that over my head. Another question. Travis. Yeah. I heard him. Talking about spirituality, like they Linda sporran, they have to reach the level of spirituality. Yeah. I think that's good thing to focus on for your project. I'm in artists myself. And I I've done a lot of monster type aiding and stuff like that. But I haven't really really fast site by so often listen to coast to coast over the years. And you know, I just like hearing when somebody think creative processes like this. Yes. And and you know, when when I talked about, spirituality, it's I, you know, I'm open to whatever someone's personally are. But I think if if kindness is at the heart of that, then you're not going to go wrong. I think you know, I I I mean Jesus, of course, I'd love one another I believe that and you'll have to be a Christian, you can get Buddhist or Jewish like, I am or or or even agnostic or I mean kindness is basically what you do. It's the golden rule, and there's a version of golden rule pretty much every every faith or and every culture, and it's basically just be kind. You know, Robert Davi Mark have yesterday who were close friends with them. So if you ever need him in any of those episodes, let us know we'll get you in touch with them. Thank you. Bring a lot of people catching ju it's like the black hole. You know? That star the next generation, Marcus. For that show. Okay. It was never. So that was it called trouble travels. So yes, of course, that's a great up. So that was the only ritual Star Trek series. Right. A row for role for her. And why not that's super do a game show? I've never done. I wanna redo the what's my line show. Yes. That was such a great show. I love that shows that cool. Yeah. I mean when you look at it, they in the you had ten times to get it. Right. And they they were each was five dollars when a flipped the card that was just on the lead as and they hit the sponsor's name across the front of the desk that the four panelists were sitting at. It was it was brought to you by some perspiration company. They had that splattered across their all time television. It's great. I love the fact that YouTube has a lot of those shows where you can go back and watch the old Kenneth scopes from the fifties. And in fact, we shot a scene with initial Nichols today. We'll be putting posting from that. So it's it's a twelve hour season. And we visited show is going many seasons multiple seasons like at least five years, and so we're just rocking roller. I've I've been the first eight hours of the twelve hour season. And also well, and so I'm by by the next few months, the entire twelve hours. And then we'll just we'll just shoot all of it and share with our audience, and it's the new way of doing television, and then our audience just finances. They buy shares. They've gone kick. Start throw some money our way, and that'll be part of one thing. This is because I have my own studio. I can do a network quality show for much. Less money than the network all my God. Because for instance, I start for discovery is over ten million dollars an episode game of thrones is over fifteen fifteen million dollars an episode is one show. Yes. Yeah. One hour, and but space can do it. So far. I've I've as I mentioned my audience is giving me a million dollars and with that I was able to shoot the two hour pilot and forty minutes of the second to our story and we're moving forward. So as I mentioned we'll be starting to kick starter campaign on Monday. And if anyone wants to buy shares in space, they can Email me, Mark Zicree gmaiLcom. And I can send them all the information. It's m people around the world are buying shares. It's it's a completely new way of doing television. But I really love it because I ride it. I cast it shoot it. There's no, you know, if you know, the the cast is wonderful cast of amazing science fiction actors like be like Doug Jones, and Robert the cartoon Mira Furlan spots in shell Nichols. If I went to a network and said, can I have this cast say no you have to use an actor was just on some hitch. Chill on the CW who can't act or whatever that's not the CW. But they get the network at safely you get the castle. You don't. And and I don't want to have that over my head. Another question. Travis. Yeah. I heard him talking about spirituality like they went to school, and they have to reach the level of spirituality. Yeah. I think that the focus on for your project. I'm an artist myself. And I I've done a lot of mobster type aiding and stuff like that. But I haven't really really fast Sifi so often listen to coast to coast over the years. And you know, I just like hearing when somebody's doing creative processes like this. Yes. And and you know, when when I talk about spirituality, it's up to whatever someone's personally are. But I think if if kindness of the heart of that, then you're not gonna go wrong. I think you know, I I mean Jesus, of course, I'd love one another I believe that. And but you have to be a Christian you can get Buddha. Jewish like, I am or or or even agnostic or I mean, kind of is what you do. It's the golden rule, and there's a version of the golden rule pretty much every every faith or every culture. And it's basically just kind kind of your family be kind of people you love and be kind on the street. You know, someone's trying to get into a parking space a garbage can blocking them over across the street and move the garbage can and it's just putting that into your life and small ways it has a ripple effect. You know, Robert Davi Mark have you? We're close friends with them. So if you ever need him in any of those episodes, let us know we'll get you in touch with them. Thank you. Thank you for that. Are you still using that that same and your show that? Yeah. On the new twilight using original fame, and that and those those motifs you have other. So I thought it they're gorgeous. Yeah. That's bring. Yeah. Bring a lot of people the tension. It's like the black hole. You know? Did you believe aliens? When you first started writing ear Europe scripts that you believe it. Space creatures of anytime. I definitely intelligent life in the universe. And you know, I don't really go beyond that in in saying, what's what's real what's not into or the of that. But but I think that life probably throughout the university. Now, no planets are pretty much every star. And so I think life is going to be throughout the universe. Just like very fertile fields grows all sorts of crops. Super. Thank you wreck. Appreciate it. I feel like I'm committing a sin. If I watched the new twilight zone episodes, I wouldn't go that far. But it's definitely. It's not the old show. It's not what surly was able to pull off. I mean, it takes such a lot of great people coming together and just the right way to magic happen. You know, it's Sunday catches fire, and it's lightning bottle. In rod Serling certainly accomplished that anymore is he works hard to possibly could any if they pulled it off. And it's an amazing amazing thing. I just go back to those original shows, and there's just their gills. They're amazing. Let's go to beaver Utah. Marie with us. Hello marie. Go ahead. Are you familiar with? The Star Trek the next generation, Marcus. Yeah. For that show. Okay. It was that was that. How trouble trouble? Oh, yes. Of course. It's a classic that's up. So that was the only ritual Star Trek series. And I was written by David Gerald who actually went to college with my wife. My wife read that script in the first draft. And and I I know David very well in not long ago, and it's a great FM shooting the Nichols house. She played a Hawaii five there was a bowl of triples on. So it's really fun. Really really fun episode. So well, David, Gerald. You know, a all Mark. They're my heroes. These writers are just wonderful. I mean, if I wouldn't win search for them, and they became friends and mentors. And you know, they were just just really brilliant writer. What's the reaction? But in Hollywood about the way, you're doing space command fascinating. When I meet with network executives and executive net. Netflix which I did a few weeks ago what I'm doing? And and they really admire the fact that I can raise money for my audience that got millions of fans around the world, it's significant and and the people who are creating series, you know, with shoulders network that I'm not creating where I'm gonna create six new series with six major chauvinism. These are people who've done the greatest hits in television. And when I invite them to come aboard they want to because they want the freedom that this offers. They want the freedom that they can write what they wanna ride. They can say what they wanna say. They can there's one show be creating where we can reach out to all these wonderful actors that we. That we love there's an actress named Barbara Bain who was on mission impossible is based on T ninety nine and offended. My nose. Right. A row for role for her. And why not that's Uber. Yeah. Do a game show. I've never done. I wanna redo the what's my line show. Yes. That was such a great show. I love that shows that cool. Yeah. I mean when you look at it, they in the you had ten times to get it. Right. If you had ten wrong answers, they flip over the cards, and they, you know, tell the person what is occupied was or whatever. Yeah. And they they were each was five dollars. When the car was just on the lead. And they had the sponsor's name across the front of the desk that the four panelists were sitting at was brought to you by some perspiration company. They had that splattered across their all time television. It's great. I love that. You're has a lot of those shows where you can go back and watch the old Kenneth scopes from the fifties. "And welcome back. Our final segment with Mark Zicree. Marc will space. Command qualify for a TV EMMY or a movie Oscar category TV, EMMY, George I would love to have an amazing gorgeous, gorgeous statue bribery, one one for the Halloween the TV movie of that. I've got three regional Emmys for news over my career. And they are so cool. It's great. I love that stuff. Holding globe. And all that stuff. It's neat. Let's go back to the calls. You ready for some more? We'll go to Mason Texas Stevens with us on coast to coast. Good morning. Stephen good morning. Good to have your with us. Mark. I have a question. Why does why did? Twilight zone Goto hour long episodes on season four, and how did you think about the whole hour long episode? We not funny because originally when rod conceive ransoming conceiver twilight initially thought it was going to be an hour show any actually wrote up four pilots twilight zone before the show got actually picked up and the first three of those that he wrote were our scripts the plainly decided it would be a half hour. But once he started doing it as a half hour. He realized that was the perfect length for the show, and he was very adamantly against it being standing to an hour. This is something CBS is doing in that period in the early sixties. They did with gun smoke. They did it with the Hitchcock. So and so they thought they might be able to a large the audience by expanding twilights onto an hour. So they took so long deciding that they only gave it really I of season the fourth season with eighteen episodes, and they were an hour long. Twelve I really didn't work as well. As our math, Richard Matheson, Charles Beaumont and surly Earl hammer the major writers on twilights all had one good hour episode age, but at the end of the season evergreens that needed so back for half. I was dragging at. Though, there's a great hour long episode called on Thursday for home the stars James Whitmore and rod Serling wrote it, and it's it's great. It's terrific episode. But then for the fifth season fifth and final season. They went back to our thirties were actually twenty two weren't they actually closer to like twenty seven. They're only they're only fewer commercials back then those days. Now, don't they do? But the back then they mostly most was the episode. And you know, he he did he have a cigarette when he came out. Yeah. You know, it's like he had a cigarette as much all the time. And he was a feel four pack a day. Smuggle got him in the long run. Died of complications from open heart surgery. And you know, he would he really looks older than he was he died at fifty. And which is the new thirty amazing. The boy he got a lot done in the time. He had assured that he he pleaded more and his time than most people do at ninety amazing. Let's go to Travis in Omaha Nebraska. Hey, I think that's a home. Johnny Carson number. Isn't it? Travis. Travis Willis doing well. Yes, sir. Yeah. I I had a couple of questions. The Mark, sir. Yeah. I heard you talking about the movie that you're making is is it just one movie it's going to be a serious serious. And in fact, the first hour, I've I've YouTube channel called Mr. sci-fi anyone can subscribe to and that's free. And I put the first hour faith and on on my channel, actually, watch it. And in fact, we shot a scene with initial Nichols today. We'll be putting posting from that. So it's it's a twelve hour season. And we visited the show is going many seasons multiple seasons like at least five years, and so we're just rock and live. I've been the first eight hours of the twelve hour season and also plea quell. And so I'm by by the next few months, the entire twelve hours. And then we'll just we'll just shoot all of it and and share with our audience, and it's the new way of doing television, and then our audience just you finances. They buy shares they've gone kickstart. Interesting money our way, and that'll be potsy part of one thing this is because I have my own studio. I can do a network quality show for much less. Money than the network Homar God because for instance, that Star Trek discovery is over ten million dollars. Nets game of thrones is over fifteen fifteen million dollars an episode is one show. Yes. Yeah. One hour, and but base command can do it so far as I mentioned my audience is giving me a million dollars. And with that. I was able to shoot the two hour pilot and forty minutes of the second to our story and we're moving forward. So as I mentioned we'll be starting to kick starter campaign on Monday. And if anyone wants to buy shares space, they can Email me, Mark Zicree gmaiLcom. And and I can send them all the information. It's and people around the world are buying shares. It's it's a completely new way of doing television. But but I really love it. Because I write it. I cast it I shoot it. There's no, you know. You know, the the cast is one full cast of amazing science fiction actors like Bill me like the Jones and Robert mccarter Furlan those box lighter in the shell Nichols. If I went to a network and said, can I have this cast? They say no, you have to use an actor was just on some hitch show on the CW who can't act or whatever that's not the CW, but they get the network at sale you get castle. You don't. And and I don't wanna have that over my head. Another question. Travis. Yeah. I heard him talking about spirituality, like they went to spoil, and they have to greet the level of spirituality. Yeah. I think that the thing to focus on for your project. I'm in artists myself. And I I've done a lot of monster type aiding and stuff like that that I'm really really bad Sifi so often listen to coast to coast over the years. And you know, I just like hearing Lynn somebody think creative processes like this. Yes. And and you know, when when I talk about spirituality, it's I you know, I'm open to what? I think you know, I I, you know, I I mean Jesus, of course, I'd love one another I believe that. And you have to be a Christian, you can get Buddhist or Jewish like, I am or or or even agnostic or I mean, kind kindness is what you do. It's the golden rule, and there's a version of the golden rule pretty much in every every faith or and every culture, and it's basically just kind of your family because of you love and be kind on the street. You know, if someone's trying to get into a parking spaces a garbage can blocking them Auburn across the street and move the garbage can and it's just putting that into practice your life and small ways and has a ripple effect. You know, Robert Davi Mark have. Yes. We're close friends with them. So if you ever need him in any of those episodes, let us know we'll get you in touch with them. Thank you. Thank you for that. "Com. And welcome back. Our final segment with Mark Zicree. Marc will space. Command qualify for a TV EMMY or a movie Oscar category TV, EMMY, George I would love to have a gorgeous gorgeous statue rate. Bribery, one one for the Halloween TV at TV movie of that. I've got three regional news over my career. They are so cool. That's great. I love that stuff. Holding globe. And all that stuff. It's neat. Let's go back to the calls. You ready for some more? We'll go to Mason Texas Stevens with us on coast-to-coast. Good morning. Stephen morning, George good to have you with us. Mark. I have a question. Why did why did? Twilight zone Goto hour long episodes on season four, and how did you think about the whole hour long episode funny because originally when rod conceive wrestling conceiver twilights initially thought it was going to be in our show. He actually wrote you've four pilots twilight zone before the show got actually picked up and the first three of those that he wrote were our scripts that finally decided would be a half hour. But once he started doing it as a half hour. He realized that was the perfect life for the show, and he was very adamantly against it being extended to an hour. This is something CBS is doing in that period in the early sixties. They did with gun smoke. They did it with the Hitchcock show. And so they thought that they might be able to enlarge the audience by expanding twilights onto an hour. So they took so long deciding that only gave it really I have season the fourth season was eighteen episodes, and they were an hour long. And. Twilights really didn't work as well. As at our math, Richard Matheson, Charles Beaumont and surly Earl hammer the major writers on twilight zone all had one good hour episode age, but at the end of the season bring much evergreens that they needed to go back the half. I was dragging at. Though, there's a great hour long episode called on Thursday, we leave for home the stars James Whitmore and rod Serling wrote it, and it's it's just great. It's a terrific episode. But then for the fifth season fifth and final season. They went back to our thirties were actually twenty two weren't they were actually closer to twenty seven. They're only they're only few commercials back then those days now, don't they? Sure, do but the back then they mostly most was the episode. And you know, he he didn't he have a cigarette when he came out. Yeah. You know, it's like he had a cigarette as pretty much all the time. And he was a feel four pack a day smuggle. That's what got him in the long run. Died of complications from open heart surgery. And you know, he would he really looks older than he was he died at fifty and which is the new thirty amazing. But the boy got a lot done in the time. He had that he he did more in his time than most people do at ninety. Let's go to Travis in Omaha Nebraska. Hey, I think that's a home. Johnny carson. Isn't it? Travis travis. Doing. Well. Yes, sir. Yeah. I I had a couple of questions. The Mark, sir. Yeah. I heard you talking about the movie that you're making is is it just one it's going to be a series series. And in fact, the first hour, I've I've YouTube channel called Mr. sci-fi anyone can subscribe to and it's free. And I put the first hour of command on on my channel, actually, watch it. And in fact, we shot a scene with initial Nichols today. We'll be posting from that. So it's it's a twelve hour season. And we visited the show is going many seasons multiple seasons like at least five years, and so we're just rock and roll. I've I've been the first eight hours of the twelve hour season and also plea quell. And so I'm by the next few months the entire twelve hours. And then we'll just we'll just shoot all of it and and share with our audience, and it's the new way of doing television, and then our audience just you finances. They buy shares. They've gone kick start interesting money our way, and that'll be part of one thing. This is because I have my own studio. I can do a network quality show for much. Less money than the network Homar God. Because for instance, Star Trek discovery is over ten million dollars an episode game of thrones is over fifteen fifteen million dollars an episode is one show. Yes. Yeah. One hour, and but base command I can do it. So far. I've I've you as I mentioned my audience is giving me a million dollars and with that I was able to shoot the two hour pilot and forty minutes of the second to our story and we're moving forward. So as I mentioned we'll be starting to Kickstarter campaign on Monday. And if anyone wants to buy shares in space command, they can Email me, Mark Zicree gmaiLcom. And and I can send them all the information. It's and people around the world buying shares. It's it's a completely new way of doing television. But but I really love it because I ride it. I cast it I shoot it. There's no, you know, you know, the the cast is one cast of amazing science fiction actors like they'll be like Doug Jones. And Robert the cartoon Mira Furlan was box lightning in the shell Nichols. If I went to a network and said, can I have this cast? They say no you have to use an actor was just on some hitch. On the CW who can't act or Wayland. That's not the CW. But they get the network at Safeway. You get the castle. You don't. And and I don't want to have that over my head. And you have another question. Travis. Yeah. I heard him talking about spirituality like they went to sporran. They have to kinda of the level of spirituality. Yeah. I think that's the thing to focus on for your project. I'm in hardest myself, and I I done a lot of mobster type paintings and stuff like that. I haven't really really fast site by so often listen to coast to coast over the years. And you know, I just like hearing winds somebody think creative processes like this. Yes. And and you know, when when I talk about spirituality, it's I, you know, I'm open to whatever someone's personally are. But I think if if kindness is at the heart of that, then you're not gonna go wrong. I think you know, I I I mean Jesus, of course, I'd love one another I believe that. And that you have to be a Christian Buddhist. Or Jewish like, I am or or or even agnostic or I mean kindness is basically what you do. It's the golden rule, and there's a version of the golden rule pretty much every every faith or every culture. And it's basically just be kind kind of your family kinds of people you love and be kind on the street, you know, someone's trying to get into a parking safe as a garbage can block them an across the street and move the garbage cans, and it's just putting that into practice your life and small ways and has a ripple effect. You know, Robert Davi Mark have you seen these whom we're close friends with them? So if you ever need him in any of those episodes, let us know we'll get in touch with them. Thank you, George. Thank you for that. He's got one of those faces that everybody recognizes of course, of course, let's go to Rick truck. Driving a New Hampshire. Welcome to the program. Hi wreck. Go ahead, sir. Oh, thank you for taking my call ice. Nice to meet him. Our cat. Good conversation tonight. A couple of questions. Please, sir. Yeah. Twilight zone. I used to say that it got that twirly little thing in a yes. Yeah. Are you still using that that fame and your reduce show that? Yeah. On the new twilight using original fame and that and those those motifs yet, whether so I kinda they're they're gorgeous. Yeah. That's what bring. Yeah. Bring a lot of people catch into like the black hole. You know? Did you believe aliens? When you first started writing here here of strips, if you believe in any space space off creatures of any kind definitely intelligent life in the universe. And you know, I I don't really go beyond that in in saying, what's what's real? And what's not into of that? But but I think that life probably throughout the university. Now, no planets are on pretty much every star. And so I think life is going to be throughout the universe. Just like very fertile field. You know grows all sorts of crops. Super. Thank you, read, compression. I feel like I'm committing a sin. If I watched the new twilight zone episodes, I wouldn't go that far. But it's definitely. It's not the old show. It's not what surly was able to pull off. I mean, you know, it takes such a lot of great people coming together and just the right way to make magic happen. It's when something catches fire, and it's lightning in a bottle. And rod Serling certainly accomplished that anymore is yours is hard to possibly could any. He pulls it off. And it's an amazing amazing thing. I just you go back to those original shows, there's just their gills their amazing. Let's go to beaver Utah marines with us. Hello marie. Go ahead. Are you there? That stock the next generation, Marcus. For that show. Okay. It wasn't episode. That was to call trouble travels. Oh, yes. Of course. That's great up. So that was the only ritual Star Trek series. And I was written by David Gerald who actually went to college with my wife. My wife read that script in the first draft. And and I I know David very well and not long ago, and it's a great some shooting the shell Nichols house. She played a little Star Trek. There was a bowl of trebles on on on a. So it's really fun. Really really fun episode. Guy. So well, David Gerald, you know him. All mark. Yep. Yep. Yep. They're my heroes. These writers are just wonderful. I mean, if I wouldn't win search for them, and they became friends and mentors. And you know, they were just just really brilliant writer. What's the reaction? But in Hollywood about the way, you're doing space command fascinating. When I meet with executives and executives at Netflix, which I did a few weeks ago there what I'm doing. And and they really admire the fact that I can raise money for my audience that got millions of fans around the world, it's significant and and the people who are creating series, you know, with children network that I now creating where I'm gonna create six new series with six major chauvinism. These are people who've done the greatest hits in television. And when I invite them to come aboard they want to because they want the freedom that this offers. They want the freedom. That they can write what they wanna right. They can say what they wanna say. They can we there's one show that we're gonna be creating where we can reach out to all these wonderful actors that we that we love there's an accident. Barbara Bain who was on mission impossible is based nineteen ninety nine and offended my nose, right? A row for role for her and why not super do a game show. I've never done. I wanna redo the what's my line show. Yes. That was such a great show. I love that shows that cool. Yeah. I mean when you look at it, they in the you had ten times to get it. Right. If you had ten wrong answers, they flip over the cards, and they, you know, tell the person what is I compare was or whatever, and they they were each will was five dollars when a flipped the card was just on the lead as and they had the sponsor's name across the front of the desk that the four panelists were sitting at. It was brought to you by some perspiration company. They had that splattered across there. That's right. Television. It's great. I love the fact that YouTube has a lot of those shows where you can go back and watch the old Kenneth scopes from the fifties. And it's just that was just watching elephant Drake in kiss me Kate and Kenneth scope of of broadcast was on live in the fifties..
