Thank you. Good to have you here with us, Uh, Have you heard about the latest drama in Georgetown? Couple of seven. I love it. A couple of transformers guarding our home there in Georgetown, the man Who has assembled these transformers in front of his house is called Dr Newton. Howard is a Georgetown resident on and is causing quite a stir. Dr. Howard. Great to have you with us. Good morning and let me get this right. You're you're at Georgetown University and you study brain science. Yes, indeed. How long have you been in Georgetown? I used to be a professor at Oxford University and then Trusted here about a few years ago. Starting active my active duty there this year. And have you always been a are you a fan of transformers? Is that Is that why you have these transformer statues? My my work is at the intersection of modifying the human brain to create human augmentation and treatments for Parkinson, Alzheimer, and some of these conditions that New degenerative, Yes. So theater relationship between the machine and a human is very important to me. And what a better resemblance of transforming Fascinating. So so Go ahead, Beverly. Yeah. When did you decide then to have these statues built and then placed outside? And what was the initial reaction when you did so? I had the statues in my house. In fact, I have three more like them in my house. On, and, uh, I seen the kids pass by and people pass by nothing changed. Everything is gone. Dan. Everybody's bored with life for about a year. So I set myself, you know? Well, let me just bring my living room outside. And and share with them. Some of the robots and in the reaction is incredible. I mean, the kids love it. They come and hang out at the pictures. Parents bring their kids. I get emails from people asking me because stop by and bring the kids. Like sands up that load that we all carrying of, you know they covet and Not not And so here you are trying to spread joy during a very hard time for people. And while people with kids may come by in 11 1 take their photos of in front of these statues. Not all your neighbors have been happy with this. Your neighbors have fought against this, saying that these are eyesores, saying that this could lead to a statue of Stalin being placed outside People's home. Have you been surprised by the reaction of your neighbors? Yeah, I was. I was completely shocked. Uh, the good news is that is only two neighbors that speak that kind of tone. The other day, I came and I found notes at my door from other neighbors that, uh, saying wonderful things and encouraging or supporting. Yeah, it's a vast improvement over like boarding up business windows all across the city. It's nice to see somebody like try to improve a street for once. Is that essentially essentially is a belief system off somebody calling, you know Children Idol to Tallinn. Killer masculine. It's just It's something and not logical here. No. In fact, the person who did that is Luke Russert to be really clear about this. He was quoted by a local news outlets suggesting that it's like if we let these transformers statues go up. What's next? Joseph Stalin look rested, of course, the son of famed late journalist Tim Russert. And has he been hassling you like often? Is this the first time you've heard that Luke Russert was upset with your statues? Well. He was upset before with Secret service cars and other dignitaries stopping by Was upset with the car models attracting attention. Um You know that Z. He just He just gets upset. I don't know why he just gets. Uh yeah, it sounds like he's upset that you you disrupted the quiet street you live on and that you become. You've become so popular. Have you had a one on one conversation with him and talk to him about this? Oh, yeah. I invited him to another neighbor's house and facilitating I sort of Ah, civil discussion on and I laid out to him that You know, the basic message of you know, all faces love thy neighbor. And you don't love thy neighbor by calling the police on them and calling that the CR city and then he called the idol of Children. Alan and stuff like that, But Luke restaurant I'm sorry, But did you say Look? Restaurant called the cops on you for having transformer statues. Uh, they actual narrative that I'm not sure if he's the one that did, the neighbor called for suspicious activities. Quote unquote. Wow. And so it's so somebody had to arrange an intervention between you and Luke Russert in order to work out the transformer statues in front of your house. Why didn't look just like come To your house and just talk to you about this. Yeah. What is even more bizarre is other neighbor which I can't even remember. But, uh, it just came out of left field like nowhere. But I was so shocked today and see meeting Um, the Allowed to read this letters that has some of the language that you that you quoted. And when I tried to re bottle or say something he was like, No, you had your chance. Uh huh. And and so, And you talked about that D C r A. And what are you finding are the next steps that your neighbors are taking? Are you having to then battle out the right to be able to keep these statues on your property or where things now on this? Yeah, So So when I applied for the permit, the people of department said it's referred to the anti Dante said it referred to the old John Oh, Georgetown Old board. Um, and then they have to look into it. And so I'm like, you know, you know, you know, sort of suspended space of knowing what they even do that have you thought Have you thought about escalating? Maybe painting the entire front of your house Rainbow colors and see what happens. Uh, but those comments that I see on Twitter is quite extraordinarily funny. I can't even defeat some of them, but well, keep up the good fight. As long as you're annoying, annoying people. We're on your side. So thank you for that afternoon, Howard and keep up your keep up the work in brain science. Maybe we'll get to the bottom of why people react this in this way. When I when you put up some fun statues. Thank you, sir. Absolutely. Thank you. You're listening to the best of mornings on the mall.

"Coming up this morning. 6 35 Lieutenant General Tom score will be with us to talk about the decision to put transgender troops into the military President Biden making that announcement yesterday. 7 35 Gary Higgins will be with US chairman for Virginia 10th District Republican Party will talk about finding good Republicans to run for the House of delegates seats this year, and then it ate all five Peter Doocy from the Fox News Channel joins us in at 8 30. Five congressmen, Jody Hice stopped by convince colonized with Mary Walter. Good Morning Way will be able to pass $2000 stimulus checks for the people next week. When we win these races in Georgia and get economic relief directly into the bank accounts of the American people who are suffering right now, while acting job record, you could make it immediate difference in your own life. The lion of the people all across this country because their election will put an end to the block in Washington attitude $1000 stimulus Jack that money they will go out the door immediately. Tell people who are real trouble. It was a campaign. Adam, You know how it's a campaign because you could hear the birds chirping in the background. You know, that's that's how you know it's a campaign eggs. They're birds chirping. That was John us often. Obviously President Biden. It was before the runoff election in Georgia, where they promised $2000 checks. You heard Joe Biden there say that we $2000 checks if you elect Raphael, Warnock and John Awesome, Right? That's how you're gonna get that money right in your pocket. You're gonna get the relief you need, according to President Joe Biden. Well, it turns out that it's not a $2000 check. It's actually a $1400 check. See, because they getting Already got $600 Remember, they got a $600 check members. So all of a sudden the stimulus is $600 Remember, Nancy Pelosi would talk called President Trump's $1200 crumbs. They're mere crumbs that he's giving them and then she put $600 okay. I think she referred to it as one carton of ice cream. Yes. Well, The problem is, is that Georgia voters actually believe that $2000 checks actually meant $2000 checks. Uh, turns out that's not what it is because they deducted the $600 that they were getting so they're only getting $1400 checks, right? So Georgia voters are very not happy right now, about this whole thing. They say that they feel betrayed by all of this media. I did a story and woman said, in my opinion is a person who does marketing advertising and public communications. As my job. I would constantly say their messaging implied in additional $2000. Not $2000 minus $600 because they were saying this after the $600 was already on its way out. One woman a man. Excuse me. Rogelio was from Atlanta and he can this Georgia voters as part on behalf of the Democrat Party, he said. I was on the ground. I knocked over 1000 doors at the doors. I was literally telling people $2000 checks. You can rely on this. I'm a man of principle of morals, and I feel like blank. I lied to them. I was lying to them. Whole time. I was lying to people that we're relying on this at the time. I didn't know it was a lie. That was not the reality. He said that many Georgia voters now feel taken advantage of Cause there's nothing they can do about the Democratic Party's abrupt reversal on the amount of aid. This is a betrayal of the working class, he said. I love the one line I forget what the phrase was. But basically that the messaging didn't represent the actual outcome. Like no kidding. What is this? The first time you've seen American politics? You should watch the earlier seasons there. Even Wilder know it Z true. It's like, Look, Politicians are going to lie to you. We'll talk more about it coming up. But like the whole, like, you know, Joe Bynes not going to ban fracking. Sure enough, he's banning fracking tomorrow on new new fracking and drilling on federal lands. These air these are lies like the they'll pitch you something that turns out to be either a half truth or a complete untruth. And this is the latest version of that and one other lie that was caught in there. You're Joe Biden in that clip, saying you will instantly get this money. Hmm. Interesting because right now, based on the timetable I'm looking at with the United States Senate. We won't see a covert relief package passed until potentially march or April. At the earliest now because the Senate has decided that they're going to spend all their time on a meaningless spectacle with a predetermined outcome, and that is theater EMP to impeach a private citizen of the United States, Donald J. Trump, so they're not in a rush to get relief out the door. No matter the size of those checks, what's at all? Their priorities right now are to create another political spectacle and not to serve you. Absolutely. John, who is John Socialist Texan on Twitter, said this the check in this campaign ad, which is a war noch campaign ad. Sure doesn't blanking. Read $1400. And it says once and they add from war knocks is one a $2000 check Hashtag Vote War noch and it shows United States Treasury check made out to Dondo. Main Street, blah, blah. $2000 doesn't say $1400. Oh, so people are disillusioned, and I had a sad is this is I do, um, take it. Well, there's little schadenfreude here for me because I've looked forward to my only my only I guess recourse in this whole thing about Biden being president is that I get to say I told you so Now to a lot of people. I just didn't think it was gonna be within the 1st 24 hours. Of him being president. So I'm getting to say I told you so to a lot of people. This is what happens like you said when you believe and you vote. What you think? You know, I'm going to get mine and you don't look it like, huh? Where's that money coming from? How many times over And I'm gonna pay for that $2000. And, um I really going to get $2000. Is that really gonna happen? That's what happens when you believe politicians. Are these guys gonna even going to keep their promises and the answer? Unfortunately, so frequently? No. Hard No 8886309625 is the number one or No. Do you know anyone who has buyer's remorse because we've got more stories of buyer's remorse for you 8886309625. Now none of my friends who voted for Biden have admitted to buyer's remorse. They're the ones who were always constantly putting Trump lives trumps a liar, so I like to keep a running tally of Biden lines for them. They don't respond to they just ignore it. And I also like I also liked telling you know how they told me how President Trump was gonna take off all these countries all over the world. And so I point out that candidates doing us Canada that's like taking off the Swiss. You know the Canadians over like Super Nice people, right? Aren't they like nice people? Yeah, he got he got a suit. Logan's in 24 hours of the Keystone XL pipeline. Yes, The grandma who always stops by with cookies is now suing us exactly. No more cookie to Russ Away to go. Joe Biden's I enjoy doing that. But not one of my friends yet has buyer's remorse. So I can't say that they do so we want to know if any of yours do anyone you know 8863096 to 5 business insider had an interesting piece on a woman named Kristen on, DCI said, And so it begins. "We have a place where we can watch TV have coffee French toast and I I noticed often that it was really good for his therapy as well the Fisher house serves so many purposes that not only did it provide a place for me to live that was easy eight but it actually kind of serve as almost a socialization for trap he was able to get into his new his new real life I guess is normal if you well he was able to socialize with folks it was extremely handicap accessible he could get in and out of the house he could come into my room we could watch sporting events on TV we can even nap in the room I would be in bad if you you know with his injury being so new and so traumatic you have a six year old male who did anything on his own to going to completely paralyzed after a car accident the little socialization things helped along on the way and I was able to pick up on that and I was so grateful for the Fisher house for providing that environment for us this Fisher house story continues after information break from the station I'm Mary Walter in Washington DC this page where some of the ridiculous then we heard the impeachment just finish this and Fuhrman that there was a quid pro the Democrats we have no choice clear from start to finish turned into Donald J. trump is the forty fifth ninety three W. why do you see warning.

"Caller in today for Mary Walter, amber, good morning. Good morning vents. Great to have you here. Great to be here. Let's talk about the White House race because we've got a bunch of twenty twenty twenty Democrats who liked to have the position by my last count. I think it was seventeen or eighteen I lost count who are running for president. Now, there's a lot of people who are running for president. And so it's an interesting field. That's developing and one of the guys who's been standing out lately is this south bend mayor Pete Pete Buddha. Judge. He is again, the mayor of south bend, Indiana. He is a young man. He's in his late thirties. He calls himself a millennial, and he thinks that the president's rhetoric about socialism what we heard last week where the president was regaling the NRC earlier this week regarding the RC see to maintain its focused encouraging Republicans to keep on going after socialism in defining it for the American public. He thinks that's not gonna work people to judge says that this is just an old tired attack and that this just is worn out. This is his his quote. The president is adopting a tactic that takes us back to the darkest days of the fifties. When you could use the word socialist to kill somebody's career or to kill an idea. But that trick has been tried so many times that I think is losing all meaning as Pete Buddha. Judge. So is he right is the is going after people for their socialism old and tired, and overstated and just a useless attack. Or is it useful to raise it is it useful to call out socialism. When you see it or when your opponents declare it when they own it is that a useful tactic for the president of the United States or is it worn out in the words of Pete Buddha. Judge eight eight eight six three zero nine six two five eight eight eight six three zero WMA AL socialism member I suppose, what the president has to do is keep explaining why socialism is bad because the Democrats have now convinced people that socialism is not inherently a bad word and some of them are openly calling themselves, socialists. So in order to avoid what Buddha judge calls tired attack. The president's going to say look at Venezuela. Look at these other countries were socialism has failed where the people who are under socialism are starving. Literally eating rats out of the street. That's the socialism that the Democrats have to own they can't just own the socialist programs in Denmark, and these European countries. They have to own the places where people are literally dying under these. These oppressive government, right? You can't look around the world. And be like, hey, some police states work. Right. Look, really. That's the that's well we like health care for all we like. And that's that's worked in these small European countries. So socialism's good snow. No, no, and socialism and communism collectivism is responsible for more, death and destruction than any other political system. Right. Has been responsible for pulling the most people out of poverty in history. Right. So in order, so how do you square that? How do you make your case that socialism's a better system? Bernie Sanders continues to try, you know, it's interesting. I was speaking with Richard Goodstein, the democratic strategists yesterday on the Fox News channel, and he made this case he was like, it's a caricature that the Democrats are socialist. It's just a caricature to that the president is using and my response to that is really because Bernie Sanders who is the w- is the avowed socialist in the field has already said that the entire democratic field has moved in his direction that he's amazed that in two thousand sixteen he runs for president with a with a set of ideas as a democratic socialist open and out and now he says it's getting harder to distinguish himself because the rest of the field is preaching what he's preaching is preaching the same tenants as he's preaching whether or not they call themselves, socialists. So everything from the simple one Medicare for all. But you mentioned Medicare for all if we're going to pay for health care for every single person, by way of the. The government and come up with a single payer public option. It's not even an option public requirement. What is that going to do our healthcare system? Well, we've got plenty of evidence. We can look the world over about how this works. Your taxes are going to go up. Your wait times are going to go up your private insurance is going to disappear comma Harris's totally fine with that. She said. So is that the world of liberty that you know, and want. And is interesting because the polling on this is really is really hilarious. So it's obvious. It's like when you ask people. Hey, would you like this free thing the answer to that is? Yes. But then when you start asking people, but the details, would you be willing to pay more for it. Would you be willing to foot the thirty two trillion dollar Bill for Medicare for all? Would you be willing to wait? Would you be willing to lose your doctor? Would you be willing to lose the insurance plan? You're currently on the answers, increasingly become. No, no, no. No. No. No. No. Because the details matter so it it's an it's hilarious to think that it's a caricature of the field is not in fact, it's increasingly becoming a defining quality of the field, the adherence to socialism and its ideas. There are people in the Democratic Party who are literally afraid to call themselves capitalist John Hickenlooper. The Colorado governor is great example of that. And the Democrats aren't honest with people about what these programs actually cost a heap answering while the richer gonna pay for it. We're gonna tax one percent. It's not going to cover the price tag. No, not even close to it. They have something called modern monetary theory, which is what Andrea Cossio Cortez's preaching, and it basically involves print as much money as you want. Don't worry about anything costs. Hobo doesn't sound like a disaster. Does it definitely it definitely will not lead to people carrying around dollar bills. And we'll we'll bear or eating zoo animals. Theresa in Virginia this Twenty-three good morning. Good morning. You guys. Socialism has a new meaning I am no made by millennial Norma socialist. But I am compassionate capitalist. But socialism jazz is right. That's all higher. Socialism the good wrong. Good schools claim to have clean water. A fat Tacna dozen. All the money come Theresa where all the money come from to pay for those roads, it it came from capitalism. In other words, like you have private businesses. That succeed you have people who succeed in their jobs, whoever ambitious they make money the tax revenues collected and the infrastructure that results from it is because of the wealth, we've built no. Or would you rather have a socialist system where the economy's controlled and less wealth is created? I'm talking about good through good schools. Good. Well, they are taxed rupture clean water. Right. That's not socialism. I mean. And that's the no maintenance of socialism. That's what the Democrats are saying that's the new maybe the old higher. Meaning that you guys are trying to scare people with that old. That's tired. That's nine thousand nine hundred socialism two thousand nineteen socialism Clinton wanted good schools claim they are which is not socialism. I mean again, you need to co opt infrastructure as socialism is a way to justify the worst parts of socialism. You take the regular stuff the stuff that we all expect and say, oh, that's regular socialism. What are you scared of? And then you bring everything else in the worst part. All right. Six five fifteen now. Thank you Theresa..

"Mary. Walter from Washington DC. I remember the first thanksgiving. I got to spend it Fisher house. My wife all tier to be the manager. And that I was number one volunteer and every Fisher house has its own personality. I thanks giving. We had five families in the house all babies. And you talk. About a group of people being grateful for the opportunity to celebrate a holiday, and and even though they were in a difficult situation. Were giving thanks for. Sold at that point on. I started. A local nonprofit. And through that I named it. Fisher house foundation out of coincidence. Got a call from New York from mister Fisher's people. And they said Fisher house foundation like the name, and I changed the name of my local groups so is not to confuse the public with with what he was trying to do nationally. And through that I learned there was going to be a national program to support Fisher houses. And I thought I wanted to be a part of it. And so I've had that privilege now for gosh. Twenty four years the Fisher family's an amazing group of people starting was accurate Fisher. Who when he learned there was a need? He first went to the chief of naval operations, Admiral Karl trust. And said, you know, I would like to do more for the military. What can I do that would be a blessing not just to the navy,.

U.S. court orders Trump administration to fully reinstate DACA program
"Sovereign jetty White House reporter for the daily caller with. All the news but you need to know from coming out of the White House. And Capitol Hill I'm Mary Walter and I'm here. With bids colonies so good morning happy as always to be joining this morning by Joe digenova legal analyst and pharmacy is turning to the, district of Columbia, Joe. Good morning. Sir good morning glad to have you. Back on Friday the big news coming out that a judge John Bates US District Judge John Bates has now barred the Trump administration from ending DACA and saying that they need to fully restore the deferred action for. Childhood arrivals program that's that that program put in. Place by President Obama that allows young illegal immigrants Or they were, young at one point. To stay. In the United States without punishment how, is it exactly and and the judge says that. The Trump administration failed in its rationale for why it was changing it back. Why does it need to provide a rationale of this is an executive action to begin with well actually it. Doesn't make a confession here John I'm a John Bates the chief of my civil. Division when I was US attorney and then recommended. Him for a US district court judge John is is a good man but in this case he happens to be deadly wrong let's remember, this is this, beautifully. Named deferred. Action for childhood arrivals that's what docket. Stands for this is the goofy name that President Obama thought up to violate the law out of whole cloth he created an illegal program with a right to stay President Trump becomes president and says okay well that. Executive order by President Obama is a legal unconstitutional ongoing rescinded he's already said that Publicly that is sufficient reason the is simply wrong this notion this is something that the. Judge and two other. Judges just don't wanna do they don't want to take responsibility for making these children quote unquote leave the country. This is another outrageous example of judicial overreach he said that the reasons given by the president? Or, arbitrary and capricious my answer to that. Is. Nonsense get yourself a dictionary judge Joe why why does the constitutionally constitutionality and legality of this action even matter like let's pretend it. Was all fine and on the up. And up wouldn't it be well within the president's rights. To remove, a program put in place by the same branch of. Government yes it it it. Is within his the is simply wrong you know this is this is under the rubric of these. These old cases from the nineteen seventies by liberal judges that wants a right has been, created, by, the government in order to take it away you have to have. Some over arching justification This is the corruption of judicial overreach and how it has infected our. Public policy the fundamental rule here is the president who, follows, another, president can rescind. The executive orders of the previous president that. He's black letter constitutional law and the fact that federal judges refused to. Recognize it shows why it's important to get Brett Cavanaugh, on, the. Supreme? Court could everything is going to have to work its way to? The supreme court and that's part of what what's going on on the, left is that they're just delaying delaying delaying the marvelous game the left cannot win through elections so it winds through? The, courts regrettably. This is a Republican judge John Bates he's. A nice, guy but he's just dead wrong let's talk about another judge Dana sabroto a. US district judge who said that the Trump administration is responsible for finding immigrant parents who were deported and chose to. Leave their children here or who were release East into the US for whatever reason without their children how is. This the administration's responsibility if the parents chose to leave their children here in wouldn't take them with them this is another example of, incomprehensible judicial conduct I'm not quite sure what it's gonna take to sort of get federal judges back into the role that the constitution. Gives them which is relatively limited one had like five or six federal judges. Basically running the government telling the president of the United States that he can't do things that he was elected to. Do that is absolutely absurd it. Is a kind of judicial autonomy that. Has gotten out of control. There is. No justification for what, that judge did and yet. It continues this is going to happen until we get. A full smackdown from the supreme court on the substance of each issue which is whether or not the president has already and then secondarily these nationwide Guide injunctions the. Judges issue from one little court? In podunk that's all gotta stop and the supreme court has to address that the. FBI has released some documents related to Christopher. Steele move onto him he's the the guy who compiled the Trump dossier the the one is filled with all sorts of half, truths and and skeptical. Information of in terms of how credulous we should be about it Christopher Steele FBI documents heavily heavily redacted we can find out almost no information this is almost this. Is almost a joke. Right well what we know now is that this is this is no. Longer even open to question notwithstanding the lunatics on, CNN MSNBC and the. New York Times and the Washington Post there was the plot a brazen plot to exonerate Hillary Clinton and to frame Donald Trump it's real simple stop it it's not. Even open to, question anymore The Steele dossier is basically, unverified garbage none of it has ever been verified I keep hearing John Brennan and others say oh. Some of it's been verified but they never quite say. What ended has been. Verified and the reason is they can't what's really interesting is it after Steele was fired by the FBI for violating. Their rules as a confidential informant they actually continue to use him by having him report directly to Bruce Moore who was out of the deputies office under Obama in the Justice department and then. Bruce or acted steals, mouthpiece going back. To the f. b. i. and giving. Them the same type of bad intelligence and, the? FBI, because this is what they do made three o two's for every interview that they had. With Bruce source they're they're like sixty or seventy of these forms which Senator Grassley. Wants to make public, the bureau is refusing by the way keep your eyes and ears. Open over the, next week. Or two or a little bit more More there's going to be more stuff on five it's going to be fascinating it's going to get very ugly for Christopher Wray and rod Rosenstein. As evidence continues to mount that they are withholding information from congress and the public merely. Because they don't want to embarrass the, bureau or their predecessors at the department of Justice very interesting we will be looking for that Jaysekulow has come out and said that if Muller subpoenas the president they're gonna fight. Them all. The way to the supreme court But yet doesn't is fine the face, of what Rudy. Giuliani has been out saying to the last week or so well I think you're seeing a little good cop bad cop here I don't expect, the president to agree to any. Interview by Muller given the incredible illegitimacy of Muller's investigation the manner in which it's, been conducted the people who were conducting it. I think that the president is. Under no constitutional obligation in a case like this. Where he is not accused of a crime he is not a vital witness. There is no evidence that he has any information the special counsel has not provided to the president. In any of his letters any evidence that he thinks the president possesses which. Can get from no one else under existing law the. President is generally quote not. Available because he's very busy in this situation I think the, president will win any fight over subpoena I think Muller knows that and I think if, he were, going to, issue a subpoena he would've issued a long long Time ago. He doesn't want to issue it subpoenaed. Yeah I mean the president's in Bedminster a lotta time to think about whether, or not he actually wants. To do this we'll see what the outcome of that is Joe digenova thank you very. Much, really appreciate it as always seven fifteen now, wwl.
