"Other space. That's comfortable in your home where you can discuss the painful emotions that they are feeling. Make that appointment with them on a regular basis in the beginning after the death of a loved. One there's no reason why you can't spend a few minutes with them each evening to catch up and make sure that they are okay and if they start to tear up wrap your arms around them comfort them and tell them that it's perfectly okay for them to cry. They're trying so hard to stay strong for you and for the other members of the family and that's not an easy job when they're so young teens may have taken over some responsibilities now that their father is no longer there or the mother is no longer their or their sibling is no longer there. And you don't have the strain decides to have so continually acknowledge all that they are doing around the house. If that's the case and appreciate them for the smallest things that they provide for you it could be as simple as they wash the dishes last night and they weren't asked to if they offered help you in other ways. Make sure you take time to acknowledge. Every little thing they do for you or another young sibling in the family. You may not have looked upon it before but they bring a great contribution to the family. So take the time to look and see what is really going on in your household. Even though you are so grief stricken teens tend to dive into their technology whether that is playing games online with their friends or texting others. And we're all spending more time than usual on social media. It is so very important that you stay connected to your child. What they're saying online what they write online. What they read online in social media is not always good. They may start to follow people online. Who are not good for them and it is important that you keep up with this even though you are in so much pain during this holiday season especially they will be hurting and they will be looking for others who will comfort them either online or in person and even if it's been a while since your loved one died and you haven't taken the time or new to take time to be there for your teenager. There is no time like the present. Apologize for your neglectful nece. Ask for their forgiveness. Explained to them that you were so distraught over the death of your loved one that you didn't give enough time to them when they needed you but you are here now and want to make sure that they are okay and even if that takes going into their room every night and loving on them and comforting them even if i they may not want you to you might have to break that shell and mask that they put up just to get through all the pain they are feeling inside teens which to not get the love and attention they need can fall into the wrong crowd they are just looking to be loved and to have more attention. It's important that you be there. Crowd a good crowd instead of gangs instead of people involved with drugs instead of drinking excessively instead of having premature sex possibly leading to an unwanted pregnancy which can cause a whole host of additional problems for your family. when you're tina's grieving the death of a loved one. They need your guidance. They need your attention. They need your loving care. It is at this time in life when they are trying to find their way build their identity and decide who they're supposed to be and he takes a great deal of time so when holidays come around they want to feel special too. They want to know that you're still interested in making a wonderful holiday season for them. All your children will be looking to see how you handle this christmas and hanukkah especially after the death of someone special. Will you still put up a tree. Will you still light the minora. Will you still give them gifts and make them special. Will you still personal cards with personal messages to them. Letting them know how much you loved them and how grateful you are to have them in your life. Will you still get together with relatives if possible and enjoy beautiful meals just like you did in the past and even though this may be extremely painful for you to do you can always come together as a family and make decisions on what is possible. And what is not. Ask them what they would like to see. Christmas day. look like this year. Ask them what they would like to see. Hanukkah look like this year it might be completely different than you had in past years and that could actually be a good thing. There is nothing wrong. With the downsized holiday it might be even easier on you than it has been in the past. You might not be able to bake ten different types of cookies as in years past but maybe this year you'll just pay one. You'll go to another family's house for the holidays so you don't have to cook this year you'll ask all your children for their wishlists so you don't have to think about what to get them and you'll tell them that you'll be asking for their hope this season you'll let them know that your energy level is just not what it used to be and you will ask for their forgiveness so whether you have very little ones or six to twelve year olds or teenagers give them the tender loving care that they need rebuild a closeness as you grieve together. "In your area. So definitely getting those checked out at least if you're on prep. You get checked every three months, which kind of a bonus to being on prep getting checked and then also get some free condoms. They always got some pretty common you can use them for blowjobs too. But I mean who's going to? This is okay. Not to host do not agree on everything that is maybe. Maybe. Tick say who's gonna use Konin during a blowjob people say cherry flavor, and I applaud you done. But like not on me. I dunno Leno. Maybe you wanna go on a date. Okay. Sorry. Where's this going so safe? This is they feel like you need to be. Thank you. This is this is a major victory for HIV criminalization reform as we're seeing and this profoundly changes also how people HIV view themselves. Gene is someone who was HIV undetectable. And I know that they went through as well that. Yeah. So if you are HIV positive have hoped there is light at the end of the tunnel for you to be negative. There's so many ways we were talking about for you to stay safe. Again. I'm not doctor not a doctor like just your own research and your own facts for yourself and. I'll I link an article to Greta Garbo being there original Celebi end as after after Ellen put in there and just trying to make sure I cover all my queer union bullet points. Boy, slim, fat, boy, slim and his son came out as bisexual so all the L G T O. What we what was this, Greta Garbo thing that you would if we just had a fever dream right now with there's an article I'm gonna link to how Greg originals Sulaiman. So she was lesbian. Yeah. There's an article that one was oh, yeah. I needed some needed to connect the dots with that one a little bit. Yeah. Well, I I think you for going on and that is the state of the union. That's our state. That's who that was good. I feel like I'm up to date on everything you really kind of laid it down in a way that makes me want to slide into your d. Mary, matt. "This is like, and so this is the last one I wanted to talk about that the US government, declares HIV untranslatable in undetectable, folks. Oh, wow. Really that piggybacks with the last thing that just happened and why these having so again, I am not a doctor. So. I don't even play what on TV right now. And so I do advocate for a healthy combination of prep and condoms is the best way to keep yourself from staying HIV negative and also STI free because even prop does not, you know, there's been a rise. And as he is is everyone can do all dog and see. Right there. I was waiting for it. I was waiting. I knew you going to say something. And I knew it you did not just appoint that is nastier than sliding into. Oh god. That's. Yuning grocery than doing it rod dog. That's funny. Like, I don't know that slide into the, you know, why is that's who it achey. To recommend. But it sounds so nasty more than rod to. Absolutely I stand by this. I don't I mean, you can die on that hill. I don't. But a long-term study published by the National Institute for allergies and infectious diseases has reached the conclusion itchy plot. Plot. HIV cannot HIV positive people cannot transmit the virus when carrying an undetectable viral load. Yeah. The US agency twins three hundred health agencies around the world and supporting this finding and I guess it was done through you can link it. But there was like seventy seven thousand instances, economists sex between someone who is HIV positive and someone who is not and in mill same sex couples in the study found that not one instance of HIV transmission, among them happen. Which is why I believe this is where they get the you might see the equals you and the is undetectable equals on transmittable. And so there's trying to get people. Instead of there's a push to get even redefine classifying, people is not undetectable. But as untranslatable, and I think that's why you're seeing these new sort of laws, we just have some stigmata to change around. And I feel like it's more. It's polite though to let people know your status. Sure. Absolutely. Absolutely. I think they just to not make like such like you're going to like a felony goes straight to present. Yeah. I don't get. I think definitely there's two different conversations happening that I think a lot of people who are especially conservative might mix up. And the the conversation is one why is this one particular would it be classified as infection or a disease? I believe it's a disease in factual and Watson infection. Okay. This one. This one virus virus? Is the virus is treated with such severe, you know, repercussion? But also there's the ethical stance where if you are just out there willy nilly spreading virus around. Yes. Just don't do that. Right about people. Exactly. It's supposed to be. And I get it. Because I mean the eighties. I was a tear. It's terrifying. And I think we need to not forget that. I'm god. There's so many, great documentaries and movies. So we can remember. I mean, I can't even imagine. How horrific it was of people just it was people were dying, and they didn't know what was happening in. But also, look how far that we've come. And so I think it's time, you know, as a nation as a world to heal from that into pivot right from that. And there's an article that there's five reasons that this is to support this is that the science behind it solid. Maitre health experts are on board. This is about HIV only. So it's not about as TI's and things like that. Which? Again, those rates are going up. But it yes. Yeah. Across the board. We're not just talking about the LGBTQ community. We're talking about every community. If you got something you treat yourself until people before you have absolutely. And in fact, everybody should be going if you're a sexually active. You should be getting checked out every three months it's every ounce now. Yeah. And there are plenty of if you don't have health insurance. There are free clinics.

"I definitely wanted to touch on. This is a long state of the queer union. But was working. I feel like those of us that are listening are enjoying do your thing. All right. Well, this is big this happened in your own backyard, and my own former backyard and knowingly exposing someone to HIV will no longer be a felony in California. Oh, yeah. Oh, see. Yes. So governor Jerry Brown wing Li knowingly exposing someone to each of you will no longer be a felony in California. It's going to be so Gary governor Jerry Brown signed a Bill Friday that lowers from felony to a misdemeanor. Jerry Brown's not our government and be more. It's Gavin Newsom. Oh, well, when does that start because this article LA thirty started well governor Jerry Brown signed the Bill. I don't know. He was like do outside. Good point librarian. I'll is not the clock. Day you could get away with. I've I don't know who the governor is I'm literally account for your resident. I kept I on that race to with Gavin Newsom. I would've voted for him. While somebody signed this Bill. Governor governor of California's I those spell so this also plays to giving blood. Now, this was led by my blue state, Senator Scott Weiner, who I was supposed to get set up on a date with. But did not, and we'll see what what he's a bed is a random, can, you know, I have I just want nothing more than to marry some gay politician, man. I will be somewhat. Okay. No. I wanna be the Robin right to his Barack Obama. Don't. It was a lot. I like those of their those some good dexterity there. I want to applaud you on. Because you you cherry picked the good. Yeah. 'cause like I is your like Robin right to his and I was like. Because also like I don't wanna be clear under what I want to be the acts like the actor and actress. Right trysts to marry politician, man. So glad you got my cherry pick Corless, really good. And you did that off the cuff? It's well, it's something I've been thinking about like, maybe. Okay. So my boo was saying that today, California took a major step treating HIV as a public health issue instead of treating people living with HIV as criminals HIV like all other series and pictures diseases. And that's what this Bill is doing. So the idea that it's going to reduce stigma and the commercialization of someone's health issue, essentially, and it's believed the current deters people from wanting to get tested from knowing. HIV status. An HIV is not the death sentence at once wise. Remember, what happened to tiger dingo who ended up survey tenure presence prison service? We talked about like episode six way back in the day. This has been used to send many game in around the country to jail often by a jury not of their peers, you just see them as gay and evil lock them up like that either. So porters of the Bill also said that women engaging in prostitution or also disproportionately targeted with criminal charges. Even cases infection was not even transmitted. So here's my thing. And I usually, you know, me I am as liberal as they come. But if someone knowingly infected with HIV, I would be pissed I'm not saying that I want them to be seen as a felony. But I do feel like I mean, like it's the same thing like with any STI. Well, that's the thing. That's what they're treating. And so. That you're committing someone to murder, and you're and so really like we haven't changed our stigma Arale worked through them in my own brain, which is good. Actually, this teams with another thing that just happened..

"So I guess that's not a fair assessment. And. Yeah, like, I just couldn't. Yep. Just it's a whole other thing. I applaud people who do move out to the suburbs because you're dealing with you know, other parents and other people's should he has kids and called us acts lemonade stands and all that stuff. Like, it's just it's a lot. So on Jim. I think it's also. I mean, I personally wouldn't move out to the suburbs. But I can see the appeal. Yeah. Yeah. And so now bars are will also used to a place for us to rally against the machine, but that's not really happening up bars, but we do need to still stay awake. Because when you have things like the trans military band. Yeah. And it just seems like yet. So I it seems like it's makes me works. I know it's such it's such a pinnacle of our culture of our history into see those like earth being raised. I don't know. It makes me definitely makes me sad. And also because to repulse drag race like people don't to go out to the they can see queens and what they who they feel like some of the best queens from the comfort of their own home. It's true. I also hear the that watching repulsed drag race as a community in a bar is is fun though tabs. Yeah. Also, I guess, you know, younger kids are pre gaming and pre drugging before they go out gay bars are also just expensive to run. The cost of permits and entertainment and properties rates that are going up. I also we talked about this when I talk about the lesbian bars, but they can also be gay bars. Can also be hospitable. Two lesbians bisexual trans people as well as undocumented people, the poor disabled people people of color and just people reported sex harassment in these spaces. So it's like well that doesn't sound like a fun place to go do so gays like fix this like do better in your bar. We need to have more intersection -ality. And I'm wondering, do you know, if probably not, but this might be something to look into the trend of just going to bars in general? Oh, if that's maybe maybe it was something like, I feel like you. And I like when we were of the twenties like it was the thing to do like just. Yeah. Yeah. All we did was drink lake. It was like every activity. It was like let's bring some booze going to the movies going bowling picnic. And I think that's still like obvious for like twenty year olds. But like I feel like there's more things to do like, there's more festival culture. Now, there's a coin because they're like, you know, I'd go to Coachella or what? Yes. So I wonder if there's like a different trend differ generation if things are changing because of that, I don't know if it's just across the board or if it's specifically for the LGBTQ community. I don't really I personally don't really go out to bars that on anymore for me. When I go to the cost show it seals. I don't like out here in New York. But the cosmos still seems like it's poppin. So straight guys are still going out in droves there. But they say you don't go out in New York. I don't, but I'm, you know, thirty three I feel like I've aged out. No, no. I mean league. I mean, we're talking about the the scene the way it used to be would be people up until their forties and fifties join their meeting ground watering hole. But also to a lot of my friends. My gay friends are all getting like engaged, and they're not going out as much as well. And they're getting married and stuff. So maybe gay marriage is a part of it too. I shouldn't have marriage equality. I think there's a lot of factors in point. So I don't know keep an eye on this, folks. But I I still think it's important for us to have our spaces in our bars and they've nothing to because of acceptance maybe some younger folks, don't feel like they maybe they feel comfortable going to Leakey street bars. But I don't know maybe I'm a different generation where I still need. My my gay space. That you're not going to. Mr. Francisco, I danced off their good point. Good point. Okay. Do last things..

"Those are just very for you in my Instagram. My Christmas card photos. That's. Anything you'd be surprised? Okay. Just do it. Nice traditional way you like to be slid into. I hate. I hate it. Oh my God. I hate that phrase. Wow. What? Sorry. It's like I hate that phrase slide into my DEA learning things for me. Gross assay. You sent me a message that don't gross God. I know that's my restful. That is a weird that's like a side threshold because you can you have gone. Flight into the I can't even say it slide into can't. It's gross. Just say sent you a private message on your Instagram or okay, grandma. What is? Vulgar. That's all. Anyways back to the gay hookup app. So scrub just banned for those. A million things going on in my head that you have said on this podcast that I refuse to repeat. And yet slide and. Got it gets me. So it's so weird. It's. I am. Surprising that you brought that up because I meant to bring it up to you tell you that I don't like that phrase, and I forgot to and then you brought it up and why? I say it all the time. The universe. One is to have this outing in this discussion. Okay. Let's talk about scrap scrap just ban photos of jock straps. Underwear bikini style swimsuits or crotch shots. As your main photo. What isn't that like all it? Yes. And so apparently, see you silver, Eric Silverberg towels out that scripts new policies to comply with policies of out stores that host the app because apparently, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if I like it can still have a private album share. But like it is a little frustrating because it's sort of like is this the cost of being mainstream lake? Also tumbler also issued the ban on like porn, what is happening with the interruption these apps incorrect here criteria way with personal pages. Like, personal didn't even what's incredulous the Craigslist Craigslist Craigslist. Yeah. Yeah pages. So it's like what's happening down on on our king on our hooking up in our sex are excavations. I know I feel like people should be able to do whatever they want to do. Well, concern consenting adults adults should be able to do whatever they wanna do ever to get their rocks off. So I don't see why people are laying down laws. It sounds like people's own Rosie's in own. You know, like, it's it's very draconian. And I don't like that. I'm with you. I'm with you. So that's the update I have a few more was breezed through quick as. Yes. So speaking of dating apps, they may not have been the reason for the decline of IMG bars. So it's not just lesbian bars. According to one estimate, the number of algebra Tiki bars and clubs in the US has dropped twelve percent between two thousand five and two thousand eleven eatable corner on this right? Why did it specifically about the lesbian bars? And I it was like the even gay bars as well. And so again, part of it might be because of the acceptance because of except mainstream acceptance case a moved out of the gayborhood and move into the suburbs, which I don't get but some living people. Don't get like we said can't can't knock somebody's king. You're right. But I was thinking I don't feel necessarily. I'd feel safe raising like being gay out in the suburbs. But the same time like look what happened to Jesse and Chicago..

"I forgot having a goat with buttons name. But then it made me think, you know, why gay or straight everybody loves butts. So I don't know why that's always come towards. Ooh. Gay like, no human. Well. Yes. Everybody loves but's. That's fine. Too fun. Nothing wrong with that. You got when I got one we all got a book. So we that would Mike campaign slow again, you know, what come together because we all got put James Arthur Martin twenty twenty you endorse this show. My name is I had I had doors. This message. He's the potentially the first openly gay presidential nominee. He is mayor currently mayor right now and the tweets have been wear grow. Okay. I don't know look at the gate. That's not hard. I only put it some notes. I knew you're gonna come way too much energy into the fact that he has his name. But not where he's the mayor of some city. I dunno. Tune into the tomorrow he'll be on there, and he'll tell you what cities. Get a decade is shake. Glad you don't go to the college where I'm the library. I know this is the school into my neighborhood leave Mary, and I did I swear I mean come on that. Okay. All right. I'm not here to school, ju foreigner too. But the tweets have been awful about him from some people countries. So there's that people are garbage. They wanted to bring him up because take a look at this platform get to know him, and he might be a candidate that you might want to get behind to help support. Like as I said like all these candidates. There's it'll be so many wherever you are. They're going to need boots on the ground to get the word out to help out. So again, get involved this political season. Yes. And also I'd like to reiterate, it's okay to like multiple candidates. You don't have to throw your weight behind one just testing the watery. Now, remember someone's gotta be somebody else's running. So in fact, I might like there's a few candidates. I am there's two cannons. Sign might be my throw my hat into help. Kamala. Harris. Marian Williamson might help them both. And I also might not even I don't even know I work with the candidate and still not completely like say I'm gonna vote for them yet. 'cause I like there's support someone without does that makes sense that makes complete sense because a lot of times when you support a candidate who let's just face. It probably doesn't have a good chance of getting on a ticket. They could help other candidates focus their attention on issues that they normally wouldn't you know, if you have somebody who's more liberal than that force a moderate candidate to be to actually look into liberal issues. So this is this is a long haul like you said it's almost too damn years because yeah, it's twenty nineteen but it is February twenty nineteen and we're going to know twenty twenty. One time things are going to change come out like it's just. Yeah. And stay involved. Stay active. Cool. Your Tate's everybody who is cool. Another over. It's all. Okay. Not strapped to I don't know. Didn't know what prep was I'm disappointed in you straight people, you need to know a prep is in fact, your research research open, your eyes to huge big amazing thing. Sorry, fair enough. That is a fair. Invalid irritation to voice on the podcast. Yes. Okay. So worth at this black female lead, captain on the show. Extra Salata cats. You James you'd literally got a check from CBS accents. And. People had a skirt this. You're right. Because you know, what this show is so worth that. There's like gay on Star Trek there's gay characters on there. What does face is it Wilson Cruz? He's spend my so called life. He's been floating around. These hasn't been around in a minute. And it just pops up here and there for like a one episode thing. Cynic Martyn green who's she left walking diabet- joy to join the show. Michelle Yeoh is in the showed Michelle Yeoh is the is the captain on the ship. Like hell. Yeah. It's so dope. And I feel like it does what Star Trek is supposed to do which has pushed the envelope of how like things are supposed to be in terms of representation, and they were like every it's like, oh, yeah. This is exactly how it should be. It's just it's so fucking dope. I can't recommend it enough. That's awesome. That's the best. The elections coming up. We got a male. You're right. I was trying to segue. And I realize oh, it's gym nearly two years away. Yeah. Well, it's like it's. Yeah. Damn near two years. People were saying like, oh, man. Like, it's you know, people are saying that they're running so far away. But I think it's partly like an impart that some people are not household names. So it's a way for them to get their name out there. And you know, again, you got to work twice as hard to get half as much just look at this that like Joe Biden is still beating everyone, and he's not even announced if he's even running you know, what I was thinking about though, which actually kinda makes sense. So you know, how when you have all your candidates. You're all there, you have your they have their arguments or whatever their debates, but you gotta once it starts, narrowing down. That's when you start picking your running mate. Yeah. So I think a lot of these people that are announcing their run may not be actually gunning for president. They could be gunning EP look at you how politico political in their my God that was like some. Dope. Ask political analysis right there. I it right here. I obviously agree which I do think. Like, no matter what you're going to see a Li like some women representation on the ticket at the top. It hopes how the first four folks to come out of the gate where women, you know. Party. How could you not and not just because they're whip? But they're also incredibly qualified so right? So there's also a potential gay candidate who's going to be running his name heat. I can I had his last name how to pronounce it. And I lost it. I had it last night. And I it's Bhutia trying to Ziege boots shake, but it's like the first four letters are. But so I'm like, oh like, you know, going up come on. You're in your thirties, James. Oh past. Push past it..

"And also we need to really like you were alluding it before. That's the whole purpose of this podcast is talk about intersection -ality, this is violence on an intersection -ality basis. Absolutely. It was it wasn't purely racist. It wasn't purely homophobic. It was both. Yeah. Both. Yeah. Well. You know, the world could use some more heroes. And luckily, the CW has some really amazing queer heroes coming to your TV screen to inspire us to act up back. When you saying C W as I'm just a magic actual superheroes. 'cause they have the gamut on that right now. They have locked about legit superhero. Yeah. So I have not jumped on this because I got over. Well, but I'm gonna have to get my job back in been hearing such great things. So there's three queer characters actually about three or four queer characters and all them CW shows. So black lightning has one coming out. She is thunder and see is the first black lesbian superhero to be all up on your TV screens. So I believe she'll. Yeah. And she's like the daughter of black lightning and for characters. Name is a niece appears N she call out clap clap when she's about to do anything. They're going to be like making it like there's so many great lines. I'm sure it's like work into their and luckily already got like a lot of applause because early show that challenges things like police brutality. On. I just give the snaps for this, you know, teen sort of superheroes. Soap operas show that is tackling these issues isn't but isn't black lightning like in a middle aged man in that's nothing to a middle aged, man. But for the show, I mean RT's. Teens and people are teens heart. And also like her character like the writing on the show and really at the plot. Probably the writers behind the show that I feel like I think his name is Greg. Greg Berlanti is the mastermind behind a lot of the TV shows that have been doing so well. Kevin Feige behind the scenes gotta gotta TV for the TV series and her. So that her character is are always been kind of like, you know, her admires on the show. Like, she's she's looked up to people like Rosa Parks inherit top men, and apparently like her her nickname on the show. I don't know how I don't know. That's a really long nickname. Yeah. Short name. But I sure oh also what happened the Harriet Tubman being on that twenty. On what was a Harriet, Tubman suppose to be on the twenty on the O, D racism, and our government leaders. Well, then just go to that escapism go to the W, and and get inspired by these here's because there's another one on supergirl. Maynes is playing NIA. Now, who is a trans superhero transfer. Is the actress trans herself, you know? They are you know, they doing it. Right. They're not Scott. This or Diego. Luna invis-. Yeah. No, Greg Berlanti doing right. He's doing right. It's actually a trans actors and also trans like activists as well. I link this. But there's a really amazing Mary. Sue did a really really great interview with the actress. And apparently like it's getting up thought it because it's handling the plot. And the in the character just doing it. So well where awesome being in the complete focus? It's a part of their life. But they're also they're also have aliens. So they've got this other sort of intrigue about them as well. Section -ality. Yes. Holy intersection. -ality trans alien like there's a lot going on. And so it's been able for them to be able to speak up about alien rights on the show their character. You know? And also have a love interest brainiac five who they've been flirting with so they're they're like lake layered of very layered sort of character and people have been really feeling it. They said, quote, the response from young folks, and especially young transports who are seeing themselves. Superheroes for the first time has been so warming. It's it's really good. It makes me really happy. I have a hard time kind of finding the words except for. It's just good. So that kind of no that's good. That's what they said to all. Hall. I in also to I there's already the like the aero has a black gays black gay male superhero they've had on this show for a bit. And then bat women is coming out with with your least favorite one of. She's not on your highlights..

"Although the police have said that that the haven't corroborated that out confirming it, oh they did. They are confirming it seal Chicago police confirmed it did say that see and. He also just a little back story that just Jesse also had been receiving threatening letters in the mail angle. Die. Black fag written disturbing ransom style cut out letters this just like Buro, my heart. So I mean, I just not to jump in. But the most important thing to me is that they put a noose around his neck. Yes. They broke his ribs. They put a new strategy. It was like they were trying to Lynch him. I just was like white year is this. And and I think like is a black gay actor this. Yeah. Terrifying. And in Chicago, I feel like yeah. I mean, I just I just like it just was it so haunting and it makes me feel just not not safe. And it's really frustrating because this is Trump's America. This is you at your creating and I can't I can't it's not that. I can't believe I just don't understand how come he hasn't do understand. But the fact that he hasn't come out and condemned these people like Trump, yes, he could Jaap this. If he like all of this violence that is coming out apparently in the Chicago police have reported a seventeen percent increase in hate crimes towards queer individuals since two thousand seventeen has changed. We had a new president come in. And that's not not just one specific marginalized groups like marginally. Groups like, hey crimes are just going up in this country and yet because people are feeling in bold. This is exactly what I was afraid of. They're getting permission to act this way when you hear when you go and watch the speeches by Trump, and you hear about him telling the silent majority that's his Wissel calling to white people into to people who are xenophobic, homophobic, racist all of those saying, hey, it's time for you to not be silent anymore. It's time for you to go out in fucking create Lynch mobs in kill us all the rest of us, basically. Yeah. Well, I have news for y'all. We're not going anywhere. And that and that hey that you have in your heart unions, if I can come to terms with it because it's just going to it's going to destroy you. That hate is venomous it is poison in sight of you. And you need the handle it you need to come to terms with the need to refine the love that is supposed to. Be in your heart. It's disgusting. I can't imagine treating someone like this. And again, so important for those of us who have family members that are, you know, wearing these red hats continue having these questions with them because left to their own devices. It is not good. A men to that. So my heart goes out to just Jesse smelling because I can't even imagine going through something like that can't even imagine. I'm just glad that he is. Okay. And it's just like someone was saying it's like, you know, a few things one either. This was one of our listeners was saying Dan was saying, you know, it's frightening about this is either like this was planned, which is also frightening. You know, this was random act. Not also frightening both ways that you look at it. And the fact that like, you know, not even a celebrity is is okay in safe in this. You know, Trump's America, right? I know it just goes to show that we were never post racial. I'm so disgusted with people that were trying to say that after Obama was elected late. Yeah. We it's a continue work that we need to do because this was lurking. Yeah. It was always lurking for those of us in the court community. I'm especially many of us who are you know, either appears see in. Queer trans we like, I feel like it should be awakening. Call for those in the community that there's still so much more work to do because he was targeted for being both black and gay and that like news outlets to call. It what it is summers thing that it's like racially motivated. No, this is a fucking hate crime like call it what it is don't like Chinese sugar coat it call it what it is exactly. It's cowardice to me to say allegedly or racially motivated like you said or potentially whatever call it like you said name it name it say, the abusers were racist and homophobic..

And it's you know, it's a huge thing that have him on that show and that character, and he was the victim of racist. And homophobic, hate crimes by two white men in Chicago. I according to the two white men and ski mass reportedly approached the thirty five year old actor on Monday and call out racial and homophobic slurs. They said, aren't you that faggot empire you that faggot? Empire nigger and then began attacking him with some unknown chemical substance. I heard it was bleach. Yeah. Yeah. From this original apart. I don't know when you see things like that. It's just like a really I feel like a really exciting time in media in the country in the world. Ooh. Speaking of media have a little news that DVD today t the said. We were talking last episode. We talked about black horror movies, we dead. And you know, we always talk about Candyman. What do you say it you'll ever tell you say, I get chills? On you need to hold onto your chill factor. Because did you know that Jordan Peele is actually doing a remake of Candyman? You our fall I'm serve Candyman at least three times, and we spoke it into existence. I don't mind bad existence Jordan appeal, and then also. Fuck. But you know, what I mean? I think that I'll take success. Can I get in on garbage TV for a moment? Yes. But here's problem a one sided conversation. Just what a catch. This show. I have never watched cash me up on what's going on with the house wise and the. And so I just want to get into the game. I, you know, I want to be a little low brow to sometimes. Yeah. I know which is like I'm surprised I've never did my foot into the the warm waters of Minnetonka, but I suppose to its blowing my mind stop what you're doing and catch up right now everybody there's three new episodes week because this show is about bananas. Crazy. It's only one month. It is celebrity big brother. I don't know why can't get into the second the second year that they've done celebrity big, brother. They did it easier during the Olympics, and it was bad shit. Crazy, Julie Chen, moon vez, and she keeps downsizing that. She's Julie Chen Moonves. I'm so sad. "I'm so excited is because she didn't get as much coverage. As beta even those great I have no problem with him. But she didn't get as much coverage as him, and she's an excellent speaker. I think a lot of people gave her credit for being excellent speaker as much and she was robbed in her election. Yeah. By racism, and sexism. I think that she is an excellent person to put on stage. I'm so glad that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are bucking the trend of going along with moderate centrist Democrats in old school in getting some new young fresh blood voices out there. I think you, and I must be playing the same Kratz cat's cradle footsie jump. Rope game. We're on the same page. Secret is moves I was thinking, exactly. Exactly for the same reasons. It's like all also, I think I think it speaks you because there's a lot of people who are tired of the establishment and establishment all ticks, and I feel like to me it sends a message that the democratic leaders are listening to the as. Yeah. And so I think it's because you know, it's two party system. And there's you know, we make up a huge spectrum of people. And I think it was making space for her and same thing. Like, I like, you know, Beto is getting all this recognition and says he hasn't been in. I think it saying like, hey, she's still a bar Democratic Party. It also speaks like, hey, we're acknowledging the fucked up nece that she should have won it just as fix vault. Your actions speak volumes. I am. I'm actually impressed by this democratic leadership right now by doing that move metoo. Amen. It's making me. I was a little kind of. I've always been a little wary of Nancy Pelosi Chuck Schumer like I like them. They're Democrats, obviously. But you know, some of the decisions that they've made some of the things like going against the new green deal and stuff like that kind of all you guys are like so mainstream. This to me is like you said showing unity showing partnership also not let. Cici Abrahams fade into the back. Relevant. Yeah. We need her. Also, let's not. Let's remember how fucked up that election in Florida was absolutely. Yep. Where well, and they're they're keeping the forefront. It's georgia. I mean. Didn't kill him as Florida, but you know, what up should happen there too. So I know you got them confuse. I can see how are you or confuse Mary? Mary mack. No, I'm alive. Thank you very much. What else is fun are has a Thompson who we devoted episodes above on episodes to on the minority corner. I mean, we love her we do. In fact, we had episodes six degrees of test Thomson where everything we talked about accidents related because she was everywhere. I mean, she's great. We love her and she's even even greater because she put out for the four percent challenge. Did you hear about this? No, it's no I actually. Nope. I don't tell me. Okay. So the four percent challenge is she is putting out the challenge to actors are just to the folks in the industry. She's making a commitment that the next eighteen months. She's going to do a project with a female director. Guns from the only four percent of either lasts blasters movies or the movie in the last decade have been directed by women like ones that are top like demographic of top earners only four percents. And I think it's like top earners in terms of like it's a broad spectrum of fifty to one hundred movies four percent or directed by women. Terrible. Also, good. I'm glad we need to get more opportunities to the women that are directing..
