"That Act Con was a massive success. That Trump and Vivek won everything this week. That DeSantis has some pivoting to do. That the DOJ is coming after us and that Hollywood is still a deplorable, terrible mess, but I'm going to go see Oppenheimer. That's my final thoughts. Jack, final thoughts. I mean, Charlie, all I got to say is we got to stunt on these thoughts. We got to stunt on these thoughts. Okay. Blake, any final thoughts? My final thought is, you know, I am, I actually am just categorically correct. The American revolution was a mistake. It led to TikTok. It's really that simple. Like if we, if we would take, if we would take an NPC video back and we would show it to George Washington, he would immediately have his army surrender. He would go back to his farm in Virginia. He would write a letter to the King of England apologizing. And then he would say that we need to not allow the steam engine to face any further development. We've got to stop the industrial revolution and its consequences in their tracks. Okay. This was thought crimes. Not sure what kind of thought crime it is, but it is what it is, as they say. "Dot before taking a trip ashore with the mystery blonde. Christine has a mystery blonde. Do you know. Chris pines mystery blonde email tips of the daily mail cup. Did you refresh article today. did they. Fight is gone no. There's no refreshing every ten minutes. I on a it's on an auto refreshes. And but i don't care about the mystery blonde moving on we have a section. I'm gonna call gay rights just a couple of things. Gay right right we have. We have three instances. Two instances of gay rights three k. Rights one instance of gay rights jordan barrett married fernando casablancas which isn't super notable. So it's just like models. It's it's models they aren't they're there to gay. Male male models who married jordan barrett is not interesting fernando casablancas interesting because i was cuss blunkett's it stands to reason. I don't really hear that last name often that he's probably related to julian casablancas. The strokes turns out. I was right there brothers. But i didn't know that i guess i'm really stupid. There's sort of like air quotes nepotism because their father founded elite model management and his name was john casablancas and he died like eight years ago and he was this like very successful entrepreneur who is allegedly responsible for the entire concept of supermodels models being cultural figures beyond represented and all of the supermodels of heard elite model management because now it's called elite world group and it is run by julia. Hart who just got a reality show on netflix. Called like my orthodox life my orthodox life that is about how she got into power so basically what happened was unorthodox life sorry oops unorthodox life my unorthodox because she was orthodox and now she's not the the elite model management was run by Julian casablancas his father and another guy. Who then did sexual harassment. And basically the whole thing got sold and unbanned it and now it's elite world group which was run by this guy who julia heart married. His name is silvio Did a lot of tax fraud in case you're wondering The backstory of silvio silvio Bought la perla. Perla was being run by julia heart. At the time after she likes escaped jewish orthodox life whole whole story. You can watch on the reality show whether you'd like to or not. I don't really like that show. But that's a whole other thing. And now that's how this all connects together which is kinda funny funny connection. I thought so this guy. John casa blanca though. I was reading his obituary in the new york times. And even though it's twenty thirteen like recent history. This is how they write about him. I couldn't believe these paragraphs beyond his views with other agencies. Mr was frequently criticized for having sexual relationships young models. His public affair with stephanie seymour. In nineteen eighty-three when he was forty one and she was fifteen ended his second marriage to ginette christian sent former model and this nineteen sixty five miss denmark casualty calling a sexual relationship with a fifteen year old. Like oh it broke up. His marriage deeded i know are- was the co owned with him. Basically both of them were discussing did sex assault and then the hammer went down on marie right but that's why elite model management became elite world group. Like that's why it got like turnover essentially because the to Anyways while eleven new generation of casablanca's brothers hopefully not eating their father's mistakes but there were a lot of who's and them's at jordan and fernando's wedding because they're young models and so kate moss. Was there georgia may jagger was there and jeremy harris was there. I love this quote. It was very spontaneous. But his wedding. Planner serena cook was able to pull some strings and make sure it was very special. Since his aussie family couldn't attend champagne. Cocktail drinks were flowing. It was very relaxed. Kate parentheses moss brought out the rings and really made sure it was special for him just like chaos being. They're delivering the ramos. Here like a model alarm shows up. Like how does she know where the models are speaking of alarms that go off in terms of like random non. Who's who were atta who he wedding. Garrett clayton disney channel star. Mary blake night a screenwriter. I'm acting like i knew who these people were. Before right like googled garrett clayton was the star of a disney channel movie. That was way past my time called teen beach. Blake night screenwriter. Who's written some things. I've never heard of and they've been together for a very long time but they only recently like came out publicly and now they're married. He was the star of the that day. Franko the porn movie a king cobra kyrie clean is like a is legs. Zach ephron under eights but it's like zach ephron another galaxy it's almost like efren took the path less traveled. He is the version that we all thought. Ron was which was like closeted and this guy actually played. Disney guy was closeted the whole time and then did like pseudo gay porn with dave franco like it is the same is the zach. Ephron import deep played a gay porn star in a pretty high profile like indie movie. He was also the voice of diner. Dancer in the uk loves in the big balloon adventure which is one of the biggest flops of all time which made me laugh okay so he loves in the big balloon adventure member. It made one million dollars and it was like very expensive. One of the biggest flops of all time was diner. Dancer in the yuki loves in the big balloon adventure dominated. We have this up. Saying the couple's close friend alycia silverstone officiate at the ceremony which was held at a private residence in. You can't do what the lie was silverstone there. I realize she was in king cobra. I think that's how they met. She was in king cobra. Also hemans ended up playing both played link clark at us and now with a lot of people connect them because they both were in like high school musical teen beach which was high school musical for the kind of the next generation of kids and then they both played link larkin zaka from was in the movie and he was in the hairspray live which was on fox and honestly was feet feet kiki palmer and that a feet so we also have the boyfriend me. The husband blake. Night is aspiring influence or beyond just being a screenwriter and so he had a youtube channel that he abandoned eight months ago but the remnants are accessible online and one of them. They did a video with christy. Carlson romano called blindfold charcuterie taste tests with christy carlson romano in garrett clayton and his channel called again a life again. He also has he. Oh it's not a podcast. It's a dizzy youtube channel. So that being. Lgbtq ally the milk but the thumbnail that says the thumbnail that says being lgbtq ally is for a video called blindfold charcuterie taste taste tests. What so i was like. Oh i'm going to find this video about chris. Carlson toronto being an lgbtq ally but the actual videos content is more about blindfold charcuterie taste testing than it is about ally ship. So.

"Just knew we wanted to talk. Have fun and just kind of banter back and forth. And i thought people might wanna listen to that so we honed in on performing arts and we came up with this one segment where we talked about okay. Well here's the reason why i'll never make it. Because i i get nervous. Or i get jealous or you know and so we would come up with all these reasons why we're not gonna make it and that was one segment of it and we had people listen to it and they really liked that segment so we just said okay. Scrap all the other. Let's just do a show about that. So we came up with wile never make it and originally began with me and my co host talking about why. We'll never make it why we're still here. What keeps us going. And then we get into an interview. Once he left for greener pastures. He had his own thing you wanted to do. I became the solo host. And i wasn't able to do that banter back and forth but i still want to incorporate that sense of setbacks and challenges and how we overcome them and and what holds us back and getting that kind of sense of what is making it mean to people. And that's what the podcast is. Now become a just getting a sense of power people facing challenges however they still finding success when they don't when they rejected which is a lot of this business. How do they keep going. So that's and so. I get pushed back a lot on the title because guests will say well. Why do i want to be on a show that says while never make it. I wanna make it. I am making it you know and but i think once they listen to it especially once they come on the show they get a sense of owned now now. I see what you're doing. Give since because it goes back to andrea to shields. He he gave that tony award winning speech that about the top of one mountain is the bottom of the next. It's it's all about. We never make it. We never really get to a point where well done. Okay i can sit back. I guess if you're seinfeld and you did a show you never need to work again. But even he wants to dell but still comedy yeah he's still cranking it out. It's not want he's he's i mean he could live off that same with all the friends. I mean any successful person doesn't just stop. Generally they continued to create. They continue to do something else that peak that wonderful mountain just propelled them to another mountain. And so that's why will never make it because we're constantly in the sense of making it And we'll also never make it because once we've made it then we've stopped them. we're not growing. We're not pushing ourselves. We're not you know so there. There's it's laser layered. It's very layered title now. I love that. I love that you were also in You're also in the first wives club when they were doing it over in chicago chicago. About because that was coming to broadway and then the pandemic was current. Oh it was good. It was coming. So this twenty fifteen. Yeah when that was happening. And and and yeah. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the workshop. Which was the that fall before. And then in two thousand fifteen for three months we rehearsed in new york and then we went to chicago for two months and yeah i mean they were spending money right and left. It was like this is coming up broadway. They want to to put their stamp on it. They were constantly writing that there was one girl a high felt for this. This song was a country song than it was a pop song that it was like a soul rock song and the lyrics were changing so there were seven different versions of that song and she would rehearse in the day. Do a different one at night. It was it. Was that kind of craziness. Where they are are. Finale changed kept changing this little bit and me not a dancer. So let's do that kick but add this to it and then push this over here and so i'm trying to remember different dances and five. Yeah so it was. It was a struggle in that sense but at the same time the the book writing was good. We were using classic motown songs as well as new songs by by that writing team and so it was actually becoming a great really fun. Musical kind of in the vein of of a nine to five a strong women leading the show and we had. I mean we had carmen cusack before. She was armed cusak So she was amazing. Faith prince of course Wonderful just a wonderful human being men also like a masterclass of just sit back. let's watch with. How faith does this you know. And and so it was we. We had such a wonderful cast. The that got us through that. And i mean like even on the last week in chicago. They spent ten thousand dollars on one of our understudies dresses because she was an understudy form of the three leads. They were still like okay. We're going but then come to find out. Once we got back to new york. Our final paycheck came out of what's called the escrow and basically that means that producers put up an escrow that if something goes wrong if some you know that that everyone can get paid and if you ever get paid the escrow it means something has happened there. There's some financial so we had to like go to the office. Pick up our check. Signed for you know so it was. It was like a thing and once once we knew that. I think that's when all the actors knew what maybe some of the creative team already new behind the scenes some of the producers that the show just was not really going to go any further at that point now later on we find out that there had been some embezzling that maybe some people got some money that they shouldn't have and took some money and so there was that rumor about things happening so obviously things had gone on behind the scenes that were just creatively. It got mixed reviews and chicago fair enough but the show itself was solid and it was one of the few musicals where the book was so good. And so funny yeah. The movie was so funny so they oh yes. Yeah so. I mean you you take that movie. And then you add. Mary blake thompson which is from designing women. She wrote that show. So that kind of that feisty female banter that just you know of strong women was just throughout and so funny So it really was a shame that never that never blossomed into broadway. Show such a bummer. I feel good things coming from your way. And i feel he'll something happening and i mentioned four like you've kept yourself pretty busy throughout the quarantine with the podcast as well as with some virtual readings So in terms of flake. What you're looking forward to the most like what do you miss the most about the the world that used to be really comes down to i i mean on dishes are never a favorite thing but i gotta say i miss them at this point. I mean you self tapes for one thing and there is some satisfaction. That can be a great. I did a good self tape. I'm proud of that and you send it in. But there's another energy in the room that you can't create in the self tape. Obviously and so. I actually miss going to midtown going to the waiting area. Being called in walking in smiles seeing that kind of process that we go through day in and day out. I it just. It was just stopped. Cut off completely. And so. I actually miss that. And then of course seeing shows because my husband. And i really aren't movie goers we go and see shows like so that's our form of entertainment so in both of those instances. I.

"I don't mind it not. I'm not exactly lebron james with their right now which is a whole other thing but it's it is what it is. I'm sure it will be exciting to watch in some regards. But then it's just i mean. Are we expecting any of those teams to really do anything in the playoffs. I don't want to sign reductive saying that alike. Maybe if it was something different where it's instead of going to a seven game series against like the number one seed after you when you go into a five game series or something like i would like to see stuff that changes it up like. It's been thrown around. That the one seed could choose their opponent Something like i don't know there could be something more to it because it really feels like a kind of meaningless. It's like Which one of the sheep are going to be picked get thrown to the slaughter essentially. So yeah. that's that's where. I'm at with it but it's regardless man. I can't change it. What do you think they'll a couple of things brought up was the what's What's his name. What am i forgetting his name. Howard beck was actually talking about that in a low post about So they get past the plan all to just lose four or five games in a meaningless series. Where upsets never never never happen. And i know zach. Lowe's big on the whole picking your opponent thing i. That's that's never gonna to happen. That would be. Yeah that'd be weird Would be rough out of that. Just i'm i mean just imagine like in some ways it is kinda fun because like we're not fun. I think that we get like two hyped about things that aren't really narratives and make them. Mary blake say that the lakers last year like well. Hey we wanna play. Let's point memphis. They suck you know we..
