Julie Kelly Exposes $100 Million Racket Led by Matthew Graves' Wife
"Ways that influence is exerted is through spouses. And you know, this is an attack baseless, by the way, that they tried to go towards clarence Thomas on. But meanwhile, Matthew graves wife runs this racket. I mean, I'm looking to this website, Julie, and I mean, it has a $100 million organization that almost no one's ever heard of. I mean, it's the national woman's law center. I mean, we were just marveling in the break. Just how much money that some of these groups have. We've never heard of them before, right? By the way, we have one of the clips up on the screen of their Twitter account. Abortion always is one of those things. Then they have another, again, Matthew graves wife runs this racket. Just let kids play is another one of their initiatives, which is all about having trans kids place, it's amazing. Julie, tell us about this connection, is there a conflict of interest? Why is this important to know? I think there are definitely is a conflict of interest. Look, she's the CEO and president of this very well funded nonprofit. This group is working hand in glove with people like senator White House. And other activist groups who are demanding the resignation of clarence Thomas, this group is behind the smear campaign against clarence Thomas and his wife. So how can you have the chief prosecutor who were supposed to believe justice is blind and he's treating people suspects and defendants all the same when we know that he's not have his wife who is such an outspoken activist trying to remove a sitting U.S. Supreme Court Justice working with Democrats in Congress to do that and create this smear campaign against him, she also has choice words and has about Donald Trump and his supporters. She referred to white women suggested that white women who voted for Donald Trump in 2020 people like me are racist and are only supporting a systemically white racist system in America. This is the sort of thing that she has said and her activism role.

I was a huge part of PragerU's branding. I'm mentioning it, of course, on my fireside chat because the empty bed next to me. Oh yeah. And they are preparing a statement. I wish I hope they put it out sooner than later. I agree with you. But I announced it on my radio show. It's an amazing thing. The guy who came, you know, by the way, this is strange point to make on this subject, but I nevertheless I'll make it, so a guy comes to pick up auto for cremation. So first of all, that first of all, so the thing that I'm marveled at is that there is such a service. I was just about to say, and I bit my tongue because I didn't want it to come off as judgmental. Randall Terry Focuses on His Feature Film, "Time Boys"
"About time boys. This is obviously, as we said, this is a family film, you made it with your kids. It's just kind of extra thing. I think everybody's dream to have a dad who would do something crazy like this. But just to be clear, you, as much as you've done for your kids, you never created a time machine for them, did you? No, and I was shame on you. Shame on you. A real father. No, the fact that you said you're going to make a film about time travel, I still can't get over this, and then your wife says, now, you said you're going to make a film, you know, wow. So you actually went and you did this. I still can't believe, how did you fund this? This is a huge thing you've done. It was a massive project. And we had over 200 people involved. When you see some of these scenes, how big the scenes are, we built a fair. We built a fair for 1908 and horses and animals and goats and pigs and rides that were era rides from 1908. It was just a bit of a ride from 1908. Yeah. You'll see it in the movie. It's crazy. That's just too much. You're just making other fathers look bad now, Randall, Terry. All right. You didn't need to do that. Listen, I got to make it. I've never done this stuff. Yeah, but you've been in movies. And you and I both know that in the culture wars, the storytellers are critical. And the bad guys, look at what has happened to Disney and marvel and D.C.. I mean, it's tragic. What's happened? So I'm a student of Frances schaefer. You love Frances schaefer. He was always saying you got to be in the arts. You got to be in the arts. And so I thought, all right, you know, in my life I've been writing books and I wrote a play and then finally when my boys were putting the screws to me to do this, I thought, all right, I'm doing it. And I mean, you know, now one of my boys, he'll mock me. The kid who survived cancer would be like, you didn't even know what you were doing when you made the movie. I said, I know I didn't know what I was doing, but I still did it.

AOC Brags About Getting Tucker Carlson Fired
"To play a piece of tape here. Alexandria casio. She's basically bragging. That she got Tucker fired. It's very strange, AOC doing this. She says that deplatforming works and it is important. It's very weird camera angle the whole thing is very bizarre. Play cut 25. Well, I am very glad that the person that was arguably responsible for the, some of the largest driving some of the most amounts of death threats and violent threats not just to my office, but to plenty of people across the country. But de platforming works and it is important and there you go. Good things can happen. Another insightful comment from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez de platforming works, she says. Is There No Dress Code for the Office Anymore?
"Broadcast from the home studio. In an office building and obviously, when I take the elevator, which is every day, I often share it with other people. And I marvel at the way they are dressed to go to work. These are all people going to offices. It's an office building, after all. And the dress code is apparently nonexistent, if you want to wear a T-shirt, if you want to wear a polo shirt, if you, I think the only thing I have not seen, and that's significant giving that, given that it is Southern California, which has warm weather, good part of the year. I have not seen people go to work in shorts. Have you? I think it's the only thing left. And I wonder if that didn't, don't some teachers and warm weather cities, which is every place when it's summer. In North America, I think some teachers have worn shorts, but I'm not certain about that. And I'm sure that for many of you listening, this is a non issue. People want to be comfortable, what's the big deal? Okay, I think it is a big deal. And it is for that reason that I raise the issue.

And generous, by the way, giving a lot of money to the residents, east Palestinian. Benny, why don't you tell our audience about that as we get started? You went to east Palestinian and actually gave money to the residents there. Tell us about it. So I gave nothing. I gave merely the social media monetization that came from all of you watching our program. Subscribing to our show every single morning. And so we thank you. We simply gave away our revenue for that month to the people of east palestin because, well, it's really evil to monopolize and monetize someone's pain and then do nothing for them, I think. And so based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and based on being just a simple Christian, not trying to start a movement or a church here or anything, just trying to do what God asks us to do, which is to be light onto the world, to be salt and light. And those people, they've gotten plenty of salt, they need some light. And so we went there to help out the 20 people closest to the Bern, the toxic burn. The TPUSA Team Did an Unbelievable Job at UC Santa Barbara
"We need more of what happened yesterday and the turning point USA team did an unbelievable job. The field program, the chapter leaders, the staff, they did so unbelievable. I was marveling at the machine, literally. I mean, from the amazing video team, they did unbelievable from the security to getting the students lined up. I mean, it's like, wow, after a decade, this is a well oiled machine to get the students ready to go to get the ticketing. These are not small logistical things. I know some of you at home might say, oh, come on, Charlie, what's the big deal? You just open it up. No, no, no, no, there are thousands of intricate moving parts that are that need to be simultaneously kind of put in place. And it's easy to kind of take it for granted. Like, oh yeah, this just happens to microphone on campus. Like, no, no, no. You have to deal with the bureaucracy. You got to deal with the security threats. You've got to do it the death threats. You got to sweep for bombs. You got to make sure the ticking are there. They try to do false ticketing, the protesters, the people outside, make sure it's film, make sure it's live streamed, make sure all the university demands are satisfied. You push back against the ones that are unreasonable. It's a full-time job. They make it that way. So it's hard, but thankfully we've created this machine at turning point USA that can navigate that Leviathan to be able to effectively still host these events that make a sizable difference, not just for the students that attend them in person, but the millions of other people that watch them online.

Dinesh Unpacks the State of the Union and the State of Biden's Mind
"Don't know about you, but it's a very painful experience for me to watch and listen to these states of the union these days. Now this wasn't my experience in the past, I could listen to Clinton, for example, give a State of the Union, and usually in those days when I would listen to Clinton, I would to some degree marvel at his political artfulness. I would also catch him out on a bunch of things. I would knew that Linton was being slippery over here. He was doing the kind of a clever and new math over there. And I was thinking about objections to what Clinton was saying, refutations of his arguments, but it was a sort of a civic and intellectual exercise. With Biden, I feel like I am listening to a known con man. And that's a whole different experience. There's no reason to refute his arguments. They aren't really arguments. They're just blatant falsehoods crass emotional manipulation. All that kind of thing. And so no wonder Republicans now are far more openly contemptuous of what they're getting, they don't follow the old decorum. By the way, I think this is a very good sign that the Republican Party doesn't play by the old rules, sitting cow, tepidly applauding at every idiotic statement. Because it's not that the idiotic statement is false because I'll see leftists. Well, you mean the notions are you saying that you don't want the price of insulin to calm down? Are you saying that you don't want people to get better healthcare? No, that's not the point. The price of insulin doesn't quote calm down. You take money from somewhere or you make a mandate that imposes a cost somewhere else. Remember, double entry bookkeeping. So the question is not, is it better for the price of insulin to come down? But was this particular decision a good one?

A Listener Writes in to Eric
"This letter and I wanted to read this because I thought this helps me clarify where I'm coming from. All right, so this person writes, we're going to withhold the name. Eric, part of me never believed I would see this day, the era of roe V wade is over. So obviously I got this a number of months ago, and we've been holding it. But part of me never believed I'd see the day the era of roe V wade is over. When my husband and I visited independence hall back in October of 2016, the tour guide mentioned Ben Franklin's if you can keep it statement. I elbowed my husband and said, that's the title of Eric metaxas latest book. And this woman is obviously correct because this book did come out in 2016. She continues the election was only a few weeks away and we both knew it was important if you can keep it. So for a few moments in the birthplace of our republic, we prayed. We prayed for the lord's will to be accomplished in the election as the 2016 election. We prayed for wisdom. My husband wasn't a citizen then, so I had the sole vote for our family. I agonized over the decision. I wasn't sure he, Trump, was the man for the job. But today, I am so thankful I voted for him. Now, this is because of roe V wade. This woman is writing. Today I'm so thankful I voted for him. I'm thankful for your op-ed in The Wall Street Journal about the election. Now, in October of 2016, I wrote an op-ed that was published in The Wall Street Journal saying should Christians vote for Trump. This woman continues. I agreed that the Supreme Court appointments and the possibility of overturning roe was worth the risk. I marvel at the courage of justices Thomas Alito Gorsuch Kavanaugh and Barrett. And although abortion is still legal where we live in Washington state, I am emboldened to believe that God wants to change hearts and lives and end abortion even here. With roe overturned a terrible wrong has been made right, thank you for standing for truth. Wow. So this really this got me choked up and I said, at some point, if we can squeeze it in, I want to read it because I remember, you know, I think a lot of people, Trump is of course a very divisive figure. But I think a big part of the reason he's advised that figure is because he doesn't take Bologna, right?

"And we don't need to get too much into it, but basically when she was introduced, marvel had big plans for her. That's great. But they didn't at the time have the movie in television rights to X-Men and mutants. So they did this thing with bargain basement sort of offshoot X-Men called the inhumans with this whole thing with the terrigen mists. Here, when you tie her powers so inexorably into her family, her culture, the notion of borders, which is something that is a recurring theme on the show, with her figuring out who she is and the notion that when her imam says good isn't what you are. It's what you do. That is straight from the comic, and that is the core of this character, and when her powers tied directly into the core of this character, it's just a lot more organic and it makes them a lot more sense. And I like that it's sort of a discussion of matriarchal power. Because you do have now this backstory that goes back to her great grandmother, she has a connection with her grandmother that her mother doesn't really understand. And I think the acting from all of these actresses is phenomenal. And I think really selling this idea of from generation to generation, you are going to get these frictions and these schisms that are all about the tug between tradition and modernism and what do you embrace from one or the other? How do you balance that? I think we're getting a really interesting portrait of that in episode four. And I think it's a nice counter to the little mini trend happening right now in marvel, where it felt like both the most recent Doctor Strange and the upcoming Thor are sort of written from the perspective of as the father of daughters. Older male mentor and younger female mentee, and that is a, I don't want to say it's a cliche, but that sort of pairing has like a very long storytelling history, and that's fine. But as of right now, I'm far more interested in the, how will Kamala and her mother get along than what older male mentor could come to help her? Look, I love that the show doesn't even introduce that as an option. I respect it for not even going down that road. You know, I'm a little nervous for the inevitable appearance of Captain Marvel marvel because I just, I'm really not invested in that character and I'm just like, how are they going to make this work? Also, I don't want to take the shine away from my girl Kamala. I'm just curious how that will work. I'm okay with just like a flyby and a wing and a wave. Exactly. You know? We're doing a good job, kid. Well, the next Captain Marvel movie is going to be called the marbles. I think they're going to save it for that. That's when the two of them are going to team up. You don't think that there's not going to be like a little like post credits scene where she pops in like a little Brie Larson cameo. Maybe. But I will tell you, we like this show, we like this character, and even if you don't know the comics,.

Yeah, I was literally like, you wouldn't say that about Spider-Man. Yeah, I don't even. This is exactly it. This is just the marvel fuel mixture. This is work life imbalance, which is the marvel story engine. And I would just say if you find it unbelievable or you don't like it when it's a young Muslim woman, but you think it's what makes the white dude realistic and relevant. You are kind of telling on yourself, dude. Yeah. And also it's just so many stories in all of media are about that special person who has special powers and we're very used to it being Peter Parker or Luke Skywalker or Harry Potter. Sure. But if it's Kamala Khan, it's a problem. And I would also say something that I think this show is doing that's really enjoyable. Is it is referencing a lot of other media, like you said, was such a joy in such exuberance, but it's really fun. I think we've gotten two Jurassic Park. Yeah. Like recreations here in a kitchen scene that evokes the raptors and in this chase scene and Karachi that brings up the T. Rex. I mean, you're looking at it and it is a love letter to this character, but also I think just a love letter to like movies and TV in general. And I would think you would have a fun time with that, but I guess, you know, fanboys are gonna fanboy, I guess. How I think about the Marvel Universe is that there's like the different properties or for different types of people depending on what you're into and what you like. And I feel like this property is filling a really important whole in the Marvel Universe, which is the people that aren't as super into the action science fiction and just want to see a great coming of age story..

"And on the right, you just got some random picture of a blond, no graphics. No, nothing. There's a girl's face. Cool. Oh, and then on marvel series three, they're all the backgrounds, all go together. So that was something they did unique in marvel series three, the little space stars in the background. If you put all the cards together, and if you're probably been in your folder, you can't look at the background. They all kind of go together. The stars kind of align and I did not realize that's cool. Yeah, I figured that out after about I had these probably two, three, four years. I'm like, hey, I happen to have some sequential ones next to each other. I'm like, hey, this goes together. And then if you look at marvel series four or 5, I think maybe even 6, they kind of stuck to that where they're all the backgrounds, all the art goes together. So like on, well, like on Lenny Vernon, where the three issues go together. They did that with the cards so that they kind of, I was kind of split on that. I kind of like the card is unique to that card. It doesn't now the backgrounds I don't care. That's fine at the background. That's fine. But in series four, 5 and 6, they made them all a collage. So you put all 8 cards together, 9 cards, whatever fits on a sheet, and that makes up a big piece of art. Yeah, I remember what you're talking about with those. And it encouraged you to buy more packs. You could compile, that's the point. Obviously, instead of so I think in those, they still did chase your cards like the hologram cards or whatever, but then they put all the cards together to make a collage. So yeah, these are really, you had, you had these been the masterpiece. Let's see, they did. It looks like, man, they went up to so they did 92 marvel masks, so they had marvel university one through 6. All the way from 1990 until 2011, they had a big skip in 94, but then in 11, then they had separate the marvel masterpieces where they did this artwork in 92, 93, 94. "Hello everyone. I'm your host normie Rodriguez, and welcome to the world of marvel podcast. To start off, I mean, you guys already know I'm Naomi Rodriguez, which I'll be the host of the world of marvel and basically I'm going to be talking about everything that's marvel related, which it can be the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the video games or the comics, basically, knowing me as a marvel fan, I basically grew up watching the television shows and also the live action films, which I definitely look forward to explaining the updates of what marble has to hold, which is really exciting because now that the MCU is ready for phase four, like there are some upcoming surprises that we can all expect, especially knowing that Spider-Man: No Way Home is on its way, including the eternals. Also I'm a big Spider-Man fanatic, which he happens to be one of my favorite marvel characters in the Marvel Universe. So there's definitely gonna be a lot of talking about Spider-Man since we already have upcoming news reports and future projects at the MCU is going to be revealing sooner or later. The reason I created this podcast is to not only engage my audience into the pop culture feature, but also mostly marvel because marvel is such a big community and not to mention marvel has been going around trending on social media and the news basically because they not only make it into the box office, but they have grown a lot bigger compared to how it was back in the day, especially when Stanley was still alive because he brought these iconic characters to live, and now everybody just completely adores Captain America, Iron Man, especially Spider-Man, which also is my favorite character as mentioned before. And you know, from the marvel community, it has expanded to not only the gaming industry, but the film industry and also the cosplay community which is another topic that I'll also be discussing in regards to the cost of community and both marble. For a short description about cosplay is basically costume and play, basically, in my definition of cosplay, people dress up into their favorite character, which in the cosplay community, everybody just wears a costume without having to be Halloween. And what that has to do with the marvel community is that people, or I should say cosplayers, they actually get recognized by Marvel Studios and Disney and they reach out to them to participate in their media campaign or basically make a child stay because costly also involves with charity work and you know the way how people dress up as marvel superheroes they make a difference to a lot of people, but also the children basically because superheroes mean a lot to them more to the adults. So basically this podcast is also going to engage not only the adults and the teenagers, but also the kids because nowadays, kids are actually recognizing different things on what's happening in the media. So this will be a great way for them to know more about the marvel community. Not to mention, what really inspired me to do this is not only a couple people that I know from the cost of a community, but also my two cousins because they're both moral fans and, you know, when I talk to them about these upcoming projects in the Marvel Universe or Disney in general, like they always get excited and always ask me, how do I know this type of stuff? And basically I know because I keep up with the media and that's how it all started. This is Naomi Rodriguez with world of marble, signing off..

"It's pretty awesome. I enjoyed i enjoy teen her. Like and then you have ronin shows up and then he shooting like nukes to just wipe out earth and she and she just takes them out like she doesn't have a defense system to take to do this do now. Oh man. I love this part. She's throws one of them back into the the scenarios chain explode and she flies through a ship takes it out and then just kind of like why we're gonna do yep and and we forget about her spacesuit even talk about her suit that allows her to breathe in space and and breathe underwater and things like that which is pretty neat like she has that weird like mohawk thing going on which. I'm not from the big another. It's another reference to the from. The i figured. I figured as such i met her bisecting that best starship and exploding it into a million pieces was so great and so fun. I like my favorite parts of which star wars movies in. But there's yeah the so great again this power disappear raw unbridled power just as force of nature and they said she just stands in front of like all right. Listen to choices. And i'm not even gonna give you a countdown. You can just leave or stay. And he turns back to the jump. Point and ronin lives to fight another day so he lives today. I was just gonna say that i would take. It lives the dance off another day. That's it up top. Make five through. The best part is minimum even in the same state as they say. Hey listen i punches our fest against her handed the sends up about shockwave. Energies get what. What are you guy bringing on. Oh he's like nope or did he sell. He's like i'll go extremely other people. Okay we'll be back for the weapon like this ship league. No the woman and then nothing ever comes. Also i think originally. I think cap marble to is supposed to take place during the time in between this movie and game is what my my assumption is this movie and gardens the galaxy and he was another prequel but then they decided as we now know marvel marvel tuesday. It now called the marvel's going to take place to the other characters. So i think there was a plan. They had but then they went somewhere. Different real excited for that. that's awful. I can't talk about it. 'cause they'll hasn't seen one division yet. That's right keep it to your cells dang and we will do something in the show maybe depending on. "Yeah contentious music but then you get a horse buzek. So i just i feel like we could jamie. Do you have any trivia for this movie type five and fax so the first is the title of the films never said in this film no one ever uses the term. Captain marvel that saturate right And then when captain marvel arrives on our she lands in that blockbuster right and she shoots cardboard cutout. Well it was true lies it was a cardboard cutout. True lies originally. It was supposed to be the mask because the joke was going to be that she missed a jim carey screen face for a scrawl but they would not give the rights for them to use the character and plus they realized nobody cares about the cruiser the scrolls so so in the scene where you talked about that you would make your precious moment psyche where carroll is asking monica to helper. Picker suit colors. I did not know. The easter eggs are there. Which are the white and green are classic creek colors in the comics and then red and yellow. are the colors worn. Yod did not even know this. Did you know that dc comics had their own. Captain marvel what did not yes so the red and yellow. And do you know who so they lost the copyright to that in the sixties and so Dc stopped making captain marvel comics but then so marvel picked it up. It wasn't even marvel than it was like alliance or whatever the comic atlas. I think. Alice started making comics. And so then they're like we won the we want to keep using this character where we do and this that have to marvel character by the way sold. More comics than superman wasn't the time back in the day that's how popular this was. And that's what ended up with a legal seat because marvel or dc sued marvel which they weren't this at the time don't comic book slimy anyone in the comments but they were like. Hey he has the same powers as superman. You can't steal his powers why and run fasten seat through stuff and so they treat them a little bit. He was really popular. And so now do you know what he's known as his his catchphrase. Zam what real. Food zachary levi places in the movies that used to be that character is previously kept for dc. That's why i like him so much. That's too much and then brie larson originally. Y'all she auditioned for arm into you. A small role not even like barely speaking role didn't get it. She revealed us in a youtube video on her youtube channel. She also auditioned for the role of darcy. And thor why didn't get it. Ca- denning scott it who was later on at one vision and then Instead of course. Emily blunt was offered this brie. Larson turned it down twice. She thought her people were turning it down. "It and then and then opine online. Yeah and again. I i think that you know for the most for in israel say it might twenties. I stupid things to her exactly. But here's the thing his thing. My kids are smarter than me. When i was in my twenties i again. We're not talking about your kids. We're talking even other kids. I know and that's the because it is a sub group. That's always the problem. It's always and again. When i say when i kid when i take kids i mean kids that have an effect on the world. I'm not talking about you know. Twelve thirteen year olds. I'm talking about twenty twenty five year olds that the kids that are actually coming into the world and saying hey. I have a say in how we do things. Those people are the ones that i'm talking about that. I don't think have been educated very well by us. The last twenty years and i actually don't think they. I don't think that group is a my majority that you're worried. I think the majority is the exact opposite. Most demographic that i look at says that those kids are loud. And certainly like for a you know. There's so here's here's the gladiator. Bob is rome the loudest people move. The mob is wrong the mob. The mob isn't just because isn't allow this. In fact often the mob will turn on the right. No it's not that's the point okay. Decision on the loudest people right. So just because you're not a small at that is that is that is so about humans that isn't born out. In fact often the loudest person is the least listen to because corporate Corporations have responded to loud campaigns online without even thinking oh loudness we set back is loudness. Oh we stopped that loudness and the mob has power. Not going again will again. That doesn't mean you have to look at what are people being loud about invariably again. That's the thing like i said it's it comes so sometimes someone is loud but they're actually speaking for a lot of people that are quiet. Sometimes people are loud and they're speaking for a lot of people who aren't there. They're not speaking anyone but people so for example and let me give you an so again going back to the eighties. There was a time your career could be ended. If you're out of his day zack's his career ain't going no place. Thank you very much and nor how loud you can be with allows. Zack's no-one cares has little out naza. Does the good songs that the kids today like Any does the dances. And he's got crazy. Videos naturally could stay like and nobody cares that you don't like him for completely unrelated musical you know. And that's the thing it's like in war will Little and notes Axe not little bag set sets my failure. you know. I think that that says that you know what it doesn't matter how loud you are if you're super still if you are loud. It's great if other people agree with you and just sort of like yeah. You know i'm not gonna go. Make a whole host of apply agree with them and for corporation. They can sort of figure that out. Somehow they have another algorithm figures that out. It's like oh okay this thing. This is a bad choice. This is not playing well and we see that honestly it never really pays off in the long rest easy. you know. it's like you know you can get ed snider cut with tax ity. You're not gonna get reversal taxes. And that's just the reality of story that you're gonna get a lot more a lot more. You're going to get a lot more flies with honey and a gun than you will with just a gun. So that is. I think that i think is is my thought on this. We have gone way off topic. But you know loki inspires tricks us into talking things that were unrelated to show because it was so just to think about all the things that he gives us so right. And that's what these stories serve is for us to be able to explore these ideas to figure out how we actually feel about them by talking about them. Our full thing with all of marvel's that gives us the opportunity to have these conversations. And that is why loki now does not call himself. The god of lies michigan. The comics got of stories. "Radio source of all. Do but if she's at the end the time she's just an exception she's like this bubble of reality. What i'm saying is so there. Is this going back and forth in time right and the idea that there is a soviet the end of time and miss minutes that extends beyond time that when they cre- eight a new variation. Okay sorry just When they create a new variation of when they created new very h in this universe when this new variation sylvie is the person that miss minute sees as she who remains when the timelines resets and missing goes well. No we need to be the tv a we need to maintain this timelines. So how how. How does she says you're the one in charge. You get to decide how it all ends. So so is the implication that because a variant of low key is in the citadel no other variants of loki can exist in the outside world much like the same. They were trying to tell us about gang because he's in the senate al on no other candidates can exist but if somebody takes over the citadel that's not can now the kings can exist. I wonder if that's a dynamic that There as a possibility so maybe she is trying to eliminate all look various universe to prevent her own multiversity war though tricky way of eliminating all logie's by putting the Trapping her they were right. Low keys only the lok that will die eventually only is located. that won't lead A multi vercel war right. They will take what one generation to die out. Two generations denial. Well i mean it's as guardians of a very long time baranov. So i mean how long has a human life span unless you're at the end of all time if you live forever. That's the idea. Why mortis eventually goes to essentially What they call limbo just a place outside of time but the idea is that if so the so. Here's the idea so low keys. Seek to conquer loki. Seek to destroy but locals are also very self destructive. So another loki. Rising to this point is going to be less problematic and at the same time. Canes are more problematic for for Sylvie but maybe less so because the multiracial work can happen so long as no one is interfering with her her situations. So exactly what the. Tv's responsibility is now is open for debate is still in charge or did once that Kidding very di- did another came very simply show up with more knowledge or is still be sticking to her guns in the senate out saying yeah. I'm at the center of control simply. Because i want to make sure nobody does exert control so i'm sitting here being one of these creator beings that is not getting involved. I'm letting everything happened. Because that's what they wanna do. Who am i to get in your way. And that's what causing that's what's causing the kings to be able to usurp so much power because nobody's out there stopping the arguments is you could let all universes grow simply stop every became before they come into being which maybe is how you get your iron latte. Because if one king gets out if one king escape sylvia rule. That's how iron lad gets out. That's how iron lad forms young avengers. That's how they fight. Sylvie with loki. Maybe even kid loki against this and that reestablishes that canyons can now come into existence again and then you get the evil canes and then it's like oh that's not what i wanted but then when the multiversity resort cert- so it's possible these You know again because this one focus so much on we got as much of the technical weirdness of it but then again. I think that was less technical. Weirdness to discussing this episode. Yeah yeah well they were all six episodes but also i think that you know it's like they created alien world when twenty million world. You know it was cool. And there's a lot of interesting aspects of it but that really nothing. Nothing about the tech of it i think was as groundbreaking as it was when we first started in other verge when we saw We watched one division. It was about here that you know how trying to match the special effects of the time. And they want everything to feel like those shows felt Likewise i think we got to suck it in the winter soldier. I think that you know again. That was a bit more about the personal experiences of everyone but also at the same time. It was about coach. You know how the technical difficulties of the time that they had to deal with because that was the one where that was the one that really had to adapt to cove it in ways that other other shows didn't have to and i think that's kind of you know it's kind of like it. Oh one division was the one that was on the closed set so it was one that was super easy to do in a time of covert loki had a lot of closed sets too so it could come out as well but the falcon winter soldier was the one that really had to adapt and so that became the narrative of that this one. The narrative is just literally the narrative. And how these characters have evolved and how storytelling has evolved in the emc. You and marvel. And i think it just gives us. I think it just gives us so much that we can just imagine about what comes next. I think that's what a good. That's a good comic book does too is it. Gives you so much to wonder about what comes next because we get to that seat. We'll get to our cliffhanger. And that's a real cliffhanger when he goes back to the tv ad it's not his tv. It opens up any number of possibilities about what's going to happen next. And what's interesting in that. Is that because of this. You're gonna start. Get co rick. And morty effect where. You're never quite sure what timeline were in because the timelines do cross. That's where things are going to get. Interesting is when we actually talk about the physics of the creation of time line and whether or not timelines ju- cross if dimensions do merge and della. Yeah.

"A world of capes in lunatics of gods and monsters of heroes and villains and those who put it all together this is the story of avengers assembled locally and this is enough said. I'm your host. Charlie the professor esther and with me as always meskini rich mas a mazi. Welcome back cats and kittens dogs and friends We're at the little waystation between when a marvel series ends and a new one begins. That is the time of the assemblage. marvel studios assemble. La- making of loki has dropped and the first thing you notice about. This is this is a very different assembled from other assembles in. Its own minute narrative i feel. I feel we open with that very shakespearean lucky esque if you will discussion of the narrative is going to be an how we came to it and i think this is tying back to its roots in thor with kenneth bra and the man who did read altogether. I really wasn't impressed with how much they did. Talk about. bronco and his vision for store. I mean they dropped him after the first one. I think but still the idea that this was always meant to be the the these dow kind of a show even as it moved beyond it in its teams. It was always meant to be grand cosmic ideas. We even just these grand royal houses. And i enjoyed that like i said i felt that that end giving it that manipulative with a character like loki. I really felt it was something. I don't feel we've seen in the other the other versions of this. I think part my capstone. Kinda thing like It was like the ending of trilogy. That was in. Its own way like a bridge to face four. Guess we're going before. Obviously you know. Well that's and that's one of the big news and that's like the big elephant in the room that known talking about with all of these shows which is all of them have introduced a teen superhero concept. Many of whom are tied to the ventures. And in fact you know i mean. That's that's we've talked about this before that you know. One of the avengers is iron lad. Who is kid k other. There is actually another team who isn't earn ladd and he gets doctor doing another story. But that's that's another good one one of my favorites Where basically where Scotland at man defeats dr deal. So it's good. It's twenty was running the future foundation but that's down book stories. We're to talk about tv shows. But yeah i mean it was really fascinating to me. How much of what. They're opening up with this really means for the marvel universe. I mean not the least of which is just the idea that you know Whatever else is going to happen in story You know What sort of for here Whatever else is going to happen in this story. There is a plan but that plan might not be what we think it is. And this is this where i think it's interesting because of course we're ending low key with our new multi verse. Obviously right and in our assembled. Multi-diverse were now also looking at The idea that You know we're going into what it from. This intuitive from loki. It means we have opened up the possibility for everything coming into it. And in many ways every reading of timelines because this the thing that people haven't really thought about yet when loki goes back to tv v. eight and it's a different tv. We kind of have to remember. This is a different loki. This is not six one six lucky if you will this is not the mc's loki. This is variant low key. That was from a spun of timelines that then went back to his own touch to this time line. That is a variation of the time line. Because i was a close circle and once it starts opening up how it comes together although it's always going to rhyme. There's always going to be a he who remains at the end how exactly it gets. There is less important than just the fact that it gets there man. I think that's really the story that we're looking at here. It's so interesting. Because in that moment when logie gets there and he has to encounter a whole different. Tv than he's ever known a whole different world and sets of characters. It's almost like doing the same thing to us. And we as the audience are mirrored in that reaction because the mc you is not going to be something we recognize very much at all going forward So many things that are going to be shaken up and i. It's kind of nice that they are giving themselves the freedom to reinvent whatever they want to not to be tied down by things when for how long has it been was fifteen twenty years. Ten years That they've been tied down to these decisions and they're like man. It'd be nice to be like the comics and just do whatever we want right interesting stories. So this gives them the freedom to be able to do that Well you know. It's always important comics. Don't you just whatever they want. They have to. They'll square their own circles where they have the freedom to take new avenues and build them into the central narrative right we're newbies because there's so much money on the line. You can't really have the freedom to do that so would this it. Sort of says it's still part of this big corporate structure that everybody's gonna love and by anyways but we've created an excuse within that to sort of be more like the common have more room to explore different avenues in a. That's really i think what's exciting about the yeah and there is a quality to it which i think is kind of important to remember here which is which is What's his name moebius. When i need slow key saying this what happens again and again and again which suggests that. The tv is in this loop in this little. Jeremy jeremy and isn't it Keep them with being back. But then it doesn't always have to back exactly the same which is why this nobody has has never met. Not just this loki by any low key because in this land. The low keys aren't the issue that they were. And maybe that's because of soviets doing maybe that's because of something else. So that's the opening up there but Either that or they were also in iraq while before mobias became an analyst. Well yeah. I mean who knows. I mean that's an interesting question like did sylvie could cook. Let's let's let's amanda than exist in this world either. If they have never encountered alone arnaud loki still at the end of time. Soap the end of time and this were that whole miss minutes. Is the.

"Marvel just recently released the Black Widow in the season finale for Loki and there's plenty to talk about. Today July 14th 2021 I will discuss my thoughts on both of them and what to expect for the franchise going forward. Good afternoon my name is and this is the outspoken opa. So let's begin with Black Widow. It has an 80% run to middle school in a 90% approval rating but honestly I don't think it was that good. I thought it was okay as mediocre for the same reasons why ant man the wasp was mediocre. The villain wasn't that good. And I think every successful marvel movie really successful movie has to have a good villain. I mean you can't really have a developing protagonist without a centralizing antagonist. So if you looked at. If you looked at a Black Widow the villain wasn't that hard to defeat. I mean like we don't have to do was break her nose and punch it in the face. And the villain wasn't didn't have any significant powers to. Stop Black Widow basically. I think like just like an M and the wasp I mean if you saw the villain there wasn't really a villain. I guess there was a villain but it wasn't that she wasn't that significant the ghost wasn't that good of a villain. And honestly she wasn't a villainous traditional sense because she only really did the evil things because she wanted to have a return to normalcy kind of and the other people the other villain in him and the wasp was like the gang basically. The mercenaries basically. So they weren't really that great a villain and Black Widow the villain was not good either. Taskmaster was also a letdown. Anyone that has watched the cartoon version of Spider-Man as a kid knows how Taskmaster really operates they know how creative a villain Taskmaster is in the Spider-Man cartoon show. I think it's called Spider-Man and the amazing web web adventures or something like.

Because i think it'll blend perfectly into where the movies or going But i i can't trust any i can't trust to suit. I'm not sure it's marvel marvel. Senator mar marvel will take it away from us before we even before before we even get it the only reason. I have doubt that it may be. The person i've been thinking is is because that person's movie where movie is the komo for another year and a half so that's kinda where i'm like. Damn like why would they introduce him to not really have him around for another year and a half even with daniels was introduced introduced thanos before brolin santos yet so unless they do something like that where the four we get like Majors i think the only thing i can think of is when we first got animals in avengers they always it was. We got him literally two movies after in guardians of the galaxy. So it wasn't too long after that we saw him again. So that's the only thing i can think of. But yeah loki season. Finale is this week. I am looking forward to it and now we can talk about the movie. We are all here for Black widow finally here twenty six months after it was originally auto twelve. No fourteen months as original release and twenty six months in st last. Mcu film fell right. I i did not have high expectations for this. I expected it to be too little too late and terms of it would feel more like a phase one. Mcu film and i can start up by saying. I'm glad that i was wrong. In terms of like where my expectations were. i think it's not mid tier marvel. It's closer it's not top tier for me but it's leaning in that direction. I think this is the best opening to any marvel movie ever like ever been in credits opened creditor incurs something so haunting about a singing and iconic rock song from the nineties and that smells like teen spirit opening over the like the enslaved grows and child soldiers was very very powerful taunting word. Yeah i think the movie. I think the movie. Despite the fact that is very self contained in terms of it feels like it doesn't have any stakes actually does. Because i think it has i think it touches on themes that a lot of people may not look like for me touches on child and slave child and slave vermont female enslavement child soldiers like it touches on those themes that you know. It's kind of dark for marvel it touches on things. That marvel films have not touched on before I love the fact that while. I'm glad that Blackwill her first movie. I'm glad that it just wasn't about her..

I mean it kind cements. Ten years of work. It is the most emotional moore movie that's ever been released and i think may ever be released Everything about that movie land. It's the perfect movie for the perfect moment. And i'm glad we got it in twenty nine thousand nine because it you know we definitely wouldn't have got into last year every and it has one of my favorite moments. Actually three of my fear marvel moments when including you know the the portal shot avengers assemble and then of course Pegging cap having that. Dan finally see my number. One pick is avengers endgame jennifer. You're up until i was like. Why didn't you want so quiet reading your lips jenny. You said howard. The duck right. I did say howard the duck no still my number one is. I'm gonna go with part one of off of david so infinity war. Does that soar. While you know you can't have endgame without infinity war and this report on the nation. Everybody you know getting together leaving us on that cliffhanger of what's next I just think you know the creative the casting the acting everything the story just you know everything the fact that they were able to create with all the movies that we're going to go through here not just with the cinematic universe but in general like the fact that they were able to do all of this and put this all together and really make it work when other studios have failed at trying. their own. universes I think is a testament to to the good work By the marvel disney people sell. Yeah infinity wars my number one. Nice ryan.

"One of the things i really liked is when they were discussing sam's last week and they go into the fact that you know it doesn't start as a speech it starts as him just talking to someone and then it just goes into the participation. It goes into that because suddenly he realizes he's not just talking to this one guy because really the whole thing is is like he's talking to the one guy's not listening the one guys okay. Don't worry we're going to have all those refugees back in their home countries tomorrow morning i guarantee it said that was never the point. That wasn't what you were supposed to be doing. And he gives his speech and it does that nice transition and it kind of reminds me you. It's a thing about you. Know the i have a dream speech. Which is that you know. I mean it wasn't it wasn't the speech. Martin luther king was gonna tell. He had bits that speech that day. He had done bits of speech before it was something you'd been work shopping for while we didn't feel as he's giving his big speech On on the what we think of as the i have seen stage. He's giving his typical boilerplate speech. It's going okay. But it's he's you know he's you know the crowd is dealing it you know and you ever former you know when you know man they're not gonna end. Oh what's her name. She was very famous. I wanna say it was the opera singer was it the gospels anyway. There was in her name right now but She says tell about the dream martin and he says oh the dream. Yeah i have a dream. And then he goes into the whole. I have a dream speech that that is true because basically this person who could this other performer. Who could see him. Struggling says you know do this shouted out a request and say that one. Let's we're going to do that. One wasn't sure was the right one for this but we're going to do is a video of this. Oh yeah yeah we actually. Aw if i wish. I was health mahalia jackson. I wanna say shouts you know. Tell them about the dream martin and cool little tidbit. 'cause he'd give it hit given night right right right right as poets go as performers goal is preachers. Go you have your sermons. You have your performances. I mean nine. It's understandable. yeah so little thing and to me. That's kind of that's kind of the point of it. It's like how you doing this and then you realize there's more to be told and you realize oh wait. I'm sorry i'm on a national stage now. I can't just do the norm. I've got a really give the big speech. I've gotta have my captain america moment. I've gotta have my martin luther king To me that's what he does there. yeah because incense. He's speaking for anybody right. He's letting them know here. I got this guy in my side. And i'm saying everything to him that we want him to know what about it is. It's not that you know because the guy says it's more complicated this and he doesn't. He doesn't deny that it's complicated kid because he knows it's complicated. It's again guess what everybody's life is complicated this. What you're feeling is powerlessness. Which is what everybody feels every single day. Now i do your job the job because we're all powerless. But you have been trusted to be the hero five or six times that every day get up. Brush your teeth eat your cornflakes at you know five or six times. You have to be the hero that is to me. The best land hair was ever. That's from of course Deadpool classes to deadpool a. It's just great because they you know. Everyone thinks being hero. It's all the time. Brush your teeth the here each of conflicts it you know five or six times you get to be a hero so always be the hero. And that is the moral of well. Deadpool and captain america. But you weren't looking for that. That connection i do want to say i love the technical stuff about the truck fight and just it's one of these things where when you're watching it there's not a point where you think. Oh that looks fake. Other that really hard. I know they're out of drunk driving thirty miles an hour. But you know so you don't get a chance to think about it this too much fun stuff happening and it's done really well that you're just like Yeah he just going along perfectly happy to go along for the ride. Nothing sticks out at you that makes you go. Hey well wait a sec. You know And i think that is an art in itself noticing stuff and for what. It's worth one thing. That marvel is known for Especially since daredevil. Is the hallway fights and we saw that winter soldier in the elevator and the idea of the closed space fight and that is a marvel signature and it was particularly interesting in this one because it is that hallway fight tuned on its head because it is closed but not because there's no but that because of the world's it's closed because if anyone else out there gone and all the people have to stand in the same area believably fight believably and stay on the on the truck believably and that is what makes it really an amazing fight trucks right. 'cause kind of a hallway scene fight without the claustrophobia. But as a metaphor the foster phobia is still there because you you still have that about your space. Well yeah well. It's it's replacing claustrophobia. For gora phobia or akra phobia really..

"Age of altron as artistic piece. We have not gotten the justice league level accusations or even the buffy or even the buffy and angel level accusations that we've gotten about just which really shows how five he really understood what he could do what he couldn't do and we're just waiting could be applied properly and that's the idea it's like. How do you point this person in the right direction. Give them people that he doesn't path and even if he is a horrible person at least get him to make you good art. And that's the thing it's like. How do you. How do you read this needle. And you know. And he did it. He did it with avengers and i do. I think he actually relatable. I think age of turned gets a lot of flack. It's not deserve. I was one of those people that hated that movie. I used to argue with my friends about it. What am i friends. A big fan of as i could you like that movie and then one day i just sat down and casually watch that movie and the the scene where they're fighting in the forest the the the the paintings that he builds in-between the fight scenes. Where everybody's like coming across in like the old x men cartoon were they're coming across the scene at each other kind of like that and i was like my god like they gave us that. Like a like a live action version of that you know grotesquely grand violence kind of thing and has it man. I should be grateful for. Why am i complaining about nitpicky things and an accident. I really appreciated the hell out of that movie. Everything's visually in. that movie. is everything comic books and cartoons that we wish we could see when we were kids and they gave us that night. And for that i was supremely appreciative. I really love that movie after that. It was a phenomenal villain. Immune edible villain. I mean all in all its ultra. That's the thing. I think that s the stories and he's given. I think that a lot of times will age better because they're going to have much more of a nostalgic quality to him and we're going to see where other things lead from. You know it is like you know you go back and you read old some of the early fantastic four's some of the early vendors. Sometimes they seem a little corny and clunky. But you but you understand. But i do understand how this built out into this universe that all greater things from it which is why i say you know. I think that one of the best things that the marvel cinematic universe is giving us. Is this idea that they're not killing their babies. They're saying you're part of us. You know you were under a banner like even it is shield all this stuff. We may not talk about them right now. They may not be showing up in our stories. But i don't think. I don't think we're going to get a luke cage. That's not going to be acknowledging. What happened in luke cage. I don't think we're gonna get a cloak and dagger that doesn't acknowledge what happening so conductor because that is what the fans of understood that is what is established and. I don't think there is an appetite to just throw it out. You know because it's like this was the story that got written and so you have to live with the story that you wrote and even if you don't like what they did it's your job to write it better than next time and i think that's what we get with the dark home this. Which is maybe they didn't like what ages of shielded with the dot com. But they don't have to discount agents of shield or how closely run away. I don't know runaways ever actually made direct reference to it except for using the comb. I don't know if there was ever a captain. America reference in it in the same way that like for example Luke cage directly references. Dmc you all the time. You know other weirdly. Enough never Princes the hulk in harlem but it always that was probably because that was a little too real aliens invade down yet. We can talk about that but in harlem the hook came through. That was much more event. Maybe that's not that that would that would be like you know selling nine eleven eleven checchi's at at ground zero which they do but for the tourists. It's a little weird but you know but that was the thing but then again you also get the fact that as much as people will say incredible hulk isn't cannon it gets referenced by the avengers repeatedly in fact to the point where mark ruffalo in the first vendor says y- last time i was in new york i kind of broke harlem's people could point. You didn't really break harlem. it's like. He he accelerated renewal. There's always so much you could do. But the hope actually was relatively light on property damage. Mosey he's smashed up cards which is fair enough which you know. Hey maybe that's not even a bad but Getting back to assemble so we get this whole idea of how their string. The story together. And how how they. They really brought this. This team of unique individuals specialists their field together to do this. And we actually get the fact that you know all of the musical cues which is by the couple that wrote the hits in which is like you know talk about that is like musically disney royalty. You're literally getting the p the biggest acts in in a in disney to come to this. Tv show and didn't the nineties version get written by. I forget who the artist was the punk rock version. Only get her name but Yeah the the original right. The culture the original riot girl. And i don't remember what writing was But yeah. I mean that. I mean yeah they got they got a great you know they they really pulled. I like the fact that As they said the What's his name Because it just mentioned him a few minutes ago but It was chris. I think it was. Christopher and kristen are the kristen anderson lopez it was meditation. lopez ins. was it christopher back. I can't quite remember but basically like one of them was actually matched. Hickman's old college roommate. And then you also got just matt schick. Men's history as yeah. He actually was a sitcom kit. Right out not dissimilar to what elizabeth olsen grew up with just going with her sisters to set. You know so. It is interesting that you know that you do. Have this child star ruled. He didn't that are on the ron howard side of child star. Royalty isn't what i mean that that is that you know that's the that's the dream that is again we're disney and foggy are bringing together the pieces that work wells that make this.

Risk liano director of photography and additional crew was jim velasco working person show business post production coordinator and technical operations. Oh right that is a mouthful of people and this was a muscle show to be honest. Oh man there's so much There's so much in this But so i if what is your favorite well here. I'll go first. My four things. I found the most fascinating was that they painted vision. Blue so the black and white sequences and that they often used ad in old sitcoms for lipstick and other things where the shade needed to relate to the audience as red as fascinating. Sweet things about this is that they really and again just to show the love and the care that they put into these things how they get the field. I was gonna. We actually did not get we know they did. Bring dick van dyke on to consult on this. I was very disappointed. I was really hoping for that. But i guess they didn't want to take away it but Coming he would make a great monaco. Prince match would be so perfect for that role A look at monaco prince of magic. Say oh actually even know it was him. Oh but i want say like. That is what's really fascinating. Just the fact that you know when you're shooting in black and whites it's not just a color swap that you can shoot black and white but you have to shoot in a way. That's going to read the colors to the black and white interpretation which is really a constantly. Think about it and stuff you never think about. Let's talk when they point out that. Yeah the adamson living-rooms thank you know because it would have looked weird. It was like all black and gray would have had the vibrancy of a well lit sitcom blocking grace. So it's it's really fascinating the choices they made for that. And then when we get you you know They're talking about the special effects that or really practical effects for those fifties and sixties things because of course and as luck would have it. The guy who was doing special effects actually. I studied under the people. That did bewitch. So yeah. I know all about abdul hadi wire wire magic In the sitcom you know how to hide the wire how to make it through the air so that looks like it's floating on a wire you now. I mean just that kind of stuff that they knew what they wanted and then they found the people that could do it. They found the best. This is one of the things and this is where this was seven baggies baby. This is what. I what. I say about a producer and this is why producers are way more important than people think because we will just think. Oh do they put up the money. They put their name on it. No and if that's letten maybe some people have producers like that. But i don't really good show what you find is that producer is. The person who who's art swarm is the manipulation of other artists. So i wouldn't call it manipulation. I would call the plying. We'll yeah well. That's what i mean. So essentially and this goes to Much like a director directs the cast in how to bring to fruition his vision. The same thing is done by the producer on a broader level on the people that are involved in the mechanization of the process. So why use manipulation. Is this idea that you know a musician. Manipulate sound a writer manipulates words. That work is fraught with connotation that award is line could do it up carrying that sort of you know into i sort of take that somewhat from a alfred hitchcock who very famously said actors are the paint upon which i paint that use canvas which was also kinda seemed to be kind of diminutive of after sets. You know to its. You ain't no. But i mean when i was in acting school in. I was working with the director that i trusted that i admired. I would say to him. Look i m your utensil. You know use me to get your vision. I understood that as an actor that that was my responsibility Play but you know that's an important thing to have but the director gets out of the people working there is saying yeah where all commonly aligned on this vision and i will bring all of myself to bear to make that happen. How do you get people motivated to do their best aimed in that direction. And that's what they're good producer does exactly. It's it's an. It is finding the personalities that are going to match funding people that are going to work well together finding people that are going to build out this universe. Well you know. I mean what is it is kind of surprising in its own way that for as much derogatory stuff as jocelyn gets for.
