"Gloomy here in Cleveland. We're welcoming in Ryan Wilson from the pick six podcasts always does a phenomenal job. So we had to bring it back here to get him on here immediately. Have them weigh in on some of these top story lines, and I'm sure Ryan, you've got to be really annoyed that it's probably not just the talk show host around the country. That you deal with. It's not just your podcast. You're very popular podcast, but it has to be just family members at this point. We're probably like, All right, knows something about football. What's going on with Aaron Rodgers is there. Roger is going to be in Green Bay? Is he gonna be out of Green Bay? Are you annoyed with the persistent questions? And how would you answer those? Hey, Lai Mei doing Ah, Happy Mother's Day that plastic into you with me, So here's the deal. I don't mind Aaron Rodgers talk because it's actually pretty exciting for this time of year. Usually I'm burned out on Draft cover's been doing it for 10 half months, and we're at the conclusion of that. And, you know the first day of the draft in over a week now. The Aaron Rodgers news breaks and it Z a slow burn because Aaron Rodgers you know, as I told you before it is Hall of Famer first found that out, but he's also incredibly vindictive and stubborn, and he feels like, you know, interactive thing out and make it as uncomfortable as possible for the Packers, So I'm happy to watch this. Real life soap opera unfold in slow motion. I'm sort of intrigued by it. I'm not a Pakistan because I would probably feel differently if I were But I do want to see other sense because I'm like John Watson, who said he wanted out of Houston. He had the mark of allegations that that sort of that process number one of number 2 24 25 years old. He's not just gonna retire and riders is accomplished more than enough. In one football lifetime, and he may feel like he's willing to, uh, be spiteful. Tell the Packers to go jump off a bridge. He's not going to relent in terms of anything they may do to try to make him feel better. And opportunities when they traded up for Gordon Love and didn't take a wide receiver in order to take a wide receiver at any point, this one point draft. They finally took one in the third round last week, and they got a good player to Marty Rogers. But again, maybe a Rogers is is at the point where he feels like he's done with it. I don't want to entire. I want to see him traded to a team of Denver and see what that does to that division. I would imagine. Actually, teams like the bills and the Ravens would love to see. A rod is better Denver as well and make it a lot harder for the Chiefs to be competitive, but You know, we'll figure it out together. I don't know if it's gonna have to happen up between one because the contract situation or if it's gonna happen, maybe closer to training camp. But that man, I swear it feels like Aaron Rodgers says, is probably Pretty close to saying he's played his last down as a member of green that practiced All right. I have noted the teams that I am most excited as storylines going into the season doesn't mean they're all gonna be great. I'm just excited about storylines. I said Arizona cardinals, the Rams, the Jaguars, colds and Browns of those, which are you? In your role most excited to see must watch, at least to start the season. A lot of those scenes in the conversation. I think we won is going to start with the Rams. Just get a sense of what Matthew Stafford is gonna look like in a shaman play offense, which, as should have most people pretty excited. Ransoms, especially Because you're not hasn't been able to do it consistently on a lot of ways. It feels like what's going on in Sampson's Kojima Garoppolo so dependent would say landscapes on the field that would put them in the mix as well. But I'm starting with the Rams. I want to see what they're doing. They never first round picks. Okay, He's never had a first round pick since he arrived in L A. We'll have little 2024 yet they continue to find ways to win. I think it's well worth the cost of getting Stafford. Whatever it was, they had to give up to get him because I think he's a difference maker for them, and we'll see just how much but They're a team. I think the Browns right here in the next and you know, I told you last week, I think the Browns have a chance. To be the favorite night division. For some reason, it feels like The Ravens are the other knee jerk favorite Just because of the reasons the Browns the Browns historically, but but I think me and Andrew Berry And tell Mr Fancy had that team going in the right direction, and they had a really good draft. They're young. They're faster. Physical. Baker makes his play with confidence on and on and on. And the only 19. I mentioned a sort of weird team to mention giving her you know how good they've been In the last two decades. I'm gonna see what happens with Cam Newton that Jones In New England. I want to see how that works out. I was soon maximums on field. I want to see how good he's gonna be compared to these other rookie quarterbacks. Is their world where they go crazy college style and use them both like a little. Urban Meyer would Chris Leak and Tim Tebow is there any chance of some like that? You didn't hear of any of that. Maybe it's too gimmicky, but they don't care about Cam Newton's future. They don't care about how many hits he takes. So is there a world where that's the case? Yeah, And I think we're living in it. I think this is the exact world we don't go to alter the universe. I think there's change that actually does happen. You mentioned the cans on a one year deal. And, you know, obviously the plan is T Make Mack Jones the next I don't think I'm ready for the next franchise. Teach the quarterback for the next decade or so. And the sooner the better and I was saying this From in January that after trait several on the quarterback must ready to play right now, Mac Jones. So there's that Zionist every time that he needs to spend learning the offense and you know if we're throwing kids out there on day one who are much less prepared than Max Jones, we've done that years past. You certainly imagine backgrounds and we're ready to go on. This team is completely different. Even once you're there, they were struggling on both sides of balls. They spent a ton of money on free agents. All they needed was a quarterback that got that in the draft. I think that's exactly the case. I think you see some coal on stuff with Cam. Actually my psychologist, not apartment and just this the other day, hold on stuff with Cam and then Mac Jones in more of a traditional package, and I think that probably happened sooner. Rather than later. They're gonna wait around to December two Figures of Matt Jones is I quickly now Zach Wilson. I don't understand why the Jets wouldn't go Justin Fields Trey Lance, but they end up going with Zach Wilson. The arm talent is obviously exciting. Does he have any chance to succeed there, at least in the short term? Sure, And I think I get it just like to cry. They 2nd 1st round pick but traded that catalyzed Tucker. Often development means so much to borrow. You have to protect these young quarterbacks, so they have a ride back to the last year Search round pick. Analyze very Tucker. This year's apart from Petty trade up four, so they're building the inside out. I think that we can have success. He's just gonna be a little tougher, given that he played on that schedule that he played. That it was the power five schedule, so we'll see how that translates into bigger, faster, stronger players. But I mean the athleticism in the smarts and all the stuff we saw on film work. Certainly exciting. Is he better than Justin feels a freelancer Mexico's We'll have fun together, but we all thought San Donna was gonna be really good. Circumstances were such that he didn't have a chance. So I think that he has a better chance at Wilson doesn't certainly something Sam Donaldson. You know, I heard Joe Banner former GM in the league formerly with the Eagles, and obviously the Browns, he said. Justin Fields didn't just drop at the end of the season, he said. Basically, maybe Justin Fields was never as high as the media had anointed him. That that sounds like fair logic. I just know that from what I saw, especially the way the league is transition for these guys that have mobility and somebody with the freak athleticism of Justin Fields and the great arm talent that It just makes sense that he would be second right behind Trevor Laurence will NFL teams didn't feel that way. What is it that the media was missing all along when it comes to Justin Fields?.

"Give you some insights tomorrow night following See you basketball. And then Thursday, the last practice And of course, we'll be back. Live in studio on Friday night in Denver, But we appreciate you guys hang with us over the course this week is we've been kind of Breaking down. What we're seeing out here was some of the buzz is did the national team practice in the first segment of this hour? Let's get to the American team. And as we said, Ben, this is this rosters incredibly stacked. Let's start with the quarterbacks, though, because Jamie Newman was the guy that was the buzz around the practices today, both national and American team Jamie Newman look really, really good, and he had a knocked out year We're gonna be questions about rust. There were questions about timing with the receivers out here, since he's never thrown with any of them, but honestly, throughout the course of some of the one on one drills, or even into some a team. I thought he looked very clearly like the best quarterback out here. We'll see how the week progresses Right now. He's got a notch ahead of Mack Jones. Even Yeah, I would say that he did. I would say that he was the The winner of the day. If there was such a thing, Hey, overthrew a couple receivers. What? Perfect, but I thought it looked pretty good overall. Certainly better than I expected. The measurements came out. He's got those tenants hands. You got admits to grip it, rip it with the football and, you know, I thought that I thought he's placement was very good. I thought his velocity was good. No area. The field was off limits with his throws. He had a seam throw. I thought looked pretty tight. Um, you know we were watching during team. I just, You know, I just liked it. I just like watching the guys will think he's just a prototype. Pickle. Um you know what? What? What? You looking for out of a quarterback in the modern NFL? And I thought I thought he looked pretty good. The other two quarterbacks there, maybe have more name recognition. Certainly a lot more hype coming into this thing, but That Jones very clearly doesn't have the arm that Kelly Mahon and Jamie Newman half and, you know, there was the thing about the quiet cadence and all that kind of stand. It was weird. They ran. They ran the place, so I guess it doesn't really matter. But, you know, I mean, he's not out here. Aaron Rodgers hard counting anybody. Maybe got used to, like, very few fans and stadiums or something like that. And he's like I could do quite cadence because it doesn't matter. You're right. You know who knows? But I think you know with Mack Jones. I don't know. I appreciate him coming out to compete. But he was pretty clearly the consensus QB five coming into this and he might be QB six leaving, you know, Um I don't see anything that particularly jumps out of me. From him. I think he's a guy that reminds him or maybe an Andy Dalton. Anything else. Adult might have been a little more athletic and I hate doesn't have particularly strong army does have decent placement in the short intermediate game, but You don't have a strong arm doesn't push the ball down the field that really do anything that you know it jumps out at you. He's just kind of kind of good at a lot of things not really great at anything. Um, that's there's that killing Monte. Um, I did the best, you know, physical tools overall, but, uh, you know, he's he was off target with passes, um, firing fastballs to running backs That maybe didn't need to happen. Um, and and so I, You know, it's It's interesting to see what what he could do the next couple days to kind of fix. Some of those type things I had the small hands nine and a quarter inch hands are small hands for somebody his size, But, um, you know there those three I would say all three had better days than anybody on the other squad, And that's that's saying something I think particularly highly of Mondor Mack Jones his days So I really love. I want to preface this. I really love the DBS of this group. But we got to get to the wide receiver talent. Now, First of all could areas Tony made a couple of spectacular plays on the ball. There was one where he caught the ball kind of as he's going in on a bit of a slant. Had the challenge was to catch the ball from behind and and kind of up in a way. And that was on a one on one drilling. It just looks spectacular. He tracked the deep ball a couple of times. Really Well, one he came down kind of awkwardly came out of practice. I don't know if he ended up coming back in, but Canarias. Tony, who is going to absolutely go in the first round out of Florida looked really, really good. It claims and receivers a Mari Rogers And what was the other one here? Gotta find him real quick. I know is a pal trying to find his number here, but, yeah, Powell and Rogers there so frickin town that Marty Rogers. I absolutely moved him up and work Whatever. Box you have of a Marty Rogers who I think a lot of people had him as a easily top 100 prospect, But I mean, I think he firmly has the chance to be in date to shut a lot of chemistry but basically show chemistry with all the quarterback. He looked good with whoever was out there. I thought he had Ah, really, really spectacular day. But then we get to the DBS. And I honestly think that between the safeties in the corners, this is such a really nice group that if the Broncos pick any one of these guys, it's gonna upgrade him. Feature Mila Faan Will who you are a big fan of I am a big fan of He was definitely a guy wrote down on my nose before we even came out here. Played corner today..

"There is a flag down here at the end of the play comes flying in at the end. Well, Ohio State tonight. It's been a fantastic job of neutralizing Marty Rogers. Lookee essays catches Only for about 40 yards, and he's there. Leading receiver. 69 catches her and 66 yards and seven touchdowns coming into this game tonight, and he really has not been able to get loose there in the middle of field. Facemask Rabbit Hellman opening defense number 2015 yard penalty in an automatic First down. Pete, where you can't grab the guy and pulled down by his earhole helmet opening. Sure enough. Yep, that's considered part of it's considered a face mask, and I can't do that I was actually thinking might actually been that rear opening ventilation shaft on the kind of the crown of the helmet? Some, like maybe would distract us to handle Laurence Gunning here on the first down. He's got the past complete the freshman DJ Williams out to the left flat. Close to nine yards on the play. Hmm. Ohio State 49. Clemson 21. Let's talk. Justin Fields play action with the Buckeyes. Get the ball. No doubt that has been significant in this absolute avalanche of Alehouse Day points. Wise pocket closing, flushed out Really Right. Grabbed is he's throwing the football. It's caught right side by Lynn Jay Dixon, but nowhere to go. Drive them back. I don't know Forward. Progress will get him a first hour will wait the spot. They need the Ohio State 46. They're going to be just shy. It appears Less than a yard, You know very close, but I think you're writing about a half yard. Guy and right now, Trevor Laurence is roaming around. Surveying the field, just nobody open and somebody for close. It has got him find some separation downfield and make a play to left. One right tight and right as well offset pistol. Lawrence's Rogers and Motion takes the piss to his left run straight ahead, spun down, but I think he's got the first down. Lawrence was grabbed by the helmet too. Okay. I on the tackle for Ohio State he got you might have gotten the first down, but he got a face full of Tommy. Toby. I who was a down bought right left guard Mac. Lockers and Toby. I just did a spin move on it spun out of it and spun right into the face of Trevor Laurence. Has run into a brick wall. When you run into Tommy Toki, I 6 to £300 Junior first down Clemson. They sent five out pass rights. I caught by policy of the sideline. He makes the catch and scoops a little further. And they will move the change. He just gets past the line to gain just short of the 35 yard line of Ohio State. Garrett on the stop But it's been said I just have to wonder what that Clemson sideline must feel like right now to buy to set off play action, Lars to throw lines up. Lobs.

"Freshman DJ Williams, but he was locked up in coverage tightly on that ball thrown by Lawrence. He never saw the ball, Shawn. It was a perfect throw from Trevor Laurence. He's only a freshman never got his eyes around and could never find. The ball landed right. Almost hit him in the right toe. Shawn. It was that good of a throw, but he never saw that landed harmlessly on the turf right in front of him. He was focused on the defenders showing Wait a 2nd and 10 out of the pistol. Lawrence sluicing right side Coppelia Marty Rogers to the right running past his own blockers. Specter will get a gain of close to about eight yards. It appears Let's call it six. To be exact. Brings up third down There was something go ahead. TTN Etienne's back in the game. That's a welcome sign for Clemson fans is he trots back on the field here for this big third down and they've got to get the 1st 1st down. They start with 23 and outs and two touchdown drives here Tonight. DTN five carries nine yards so far in the first half shot comes staff, the Lawrence on 34 rows. Torti, TN right side got spun around and then hit by Sean. He'd pass is incomplete. And once again, Ohio State's defense has stepped up its fourth down and four for Clemson on the third, three it out tonight. Here for Clemson. I mentioned they've got the first down. They've scored a touchdown, but great defense there by Sean Way to Haddie TN out of the backfield that just shows you the respect. Half a travesty. Tien has a receiver cornerback covered him out of the backfield is good pressure that time along the right side By Jonathan Cooper Spires gets the pun away on fourth and four from the 37 Yard line. A fair catch called for by Garrett Wilson at 25 of Ohio State, 21 14. What guys leading Clemson and get the football back here with Al under nine minutes to go in the first half. I know it's early, Sean. We talked all week about the fact that the state wanted to win this game. They were not play their best game of the year. But this is by far the most instinct. This Ohio State football team has looked offensively all year. They're really dialed in and Almost finding themselves in real time here, Sean 249.

"And the reason that we're seeing teams opt out of all games. The reason that we're seeing teams to say you know what? That's it? We're done. We're taking it to the houses because everyone is so mentally exhausted. And the question is Clemson who certainly went through their code issues. I'm in trouble. Aren't Mr First Notre Dame game Because of it. You Ohio State has gone through that so much, maybe more intensely than every one of the big tent cities have gone through this more intensely in a shorter period of time. But it's not just physical wearing tear. But you play almost twice as many games of the tenure point, But it's also that mental wear and tear of you've been at this now for a lot longer than the team that your plan so I'm with you. I'm really, really curious to see What the energy level is. That's gonna be fine. But what's it gonna be at the end of the second quarter, Third quarter, the fourth quarter and here's Ohio State. As you said, waiting to see who will be cleared who want And you talked to every coach and the stress level that they have all the way through the breakfast of the game that the day of the game. Amen. You sit right there, right. But people who don't know these coaches and right now, you know. Actually worked 89 TV games This year, they put my fat bearded but on television, which is again why I love people confuse me with you might not see I was on board when it was just something accident here. You think about that? I'm not sure. Sure. How about just all of a sudden? But if it's I can't tell you how many coaches I've talked to, uh across the country, including my brother, right, the coordinator of the SEC. These guys have no clue like like Tebow has no idea if he's going to have Trevor Laurence as his quarterback until The day before the game a typical college football Saturday he doesn't have any clue whether ETI N or Nolan Turner of Skull Ski or Trevor Laurence. You know where Marty Rogers any of those guys that they're going to be available to him? You know, until Friday afternoon when they take that Friday morning Coben test, Same with Brian Kelly don't know Being book's gonna be available until that Friday afternoon for a college football Typical Saturday. Can you just imagine how much that weighs on you? If your coach having to come up with a contingency plan upon a contingency upon a contingency to get ready for this game? I mean, you did that all year, and now it's the college football bleeping playoff and you're still waiting to see. Did somebody get hit with Verona coming into the college football semifinal? I can't imagine just from a mental standpoint for the players, but also the coaches. How would that grind has been like and now you're almost at the end and you still dealing with it? I can't even fathom that And everyone has done the best they can do they? They're mind. They've done taking the best approach. There was no playbook for this. What Some programs have handled this better than others. Some conferences have certainly handled all this better than others and part of Ohio State's perception problem. Is a P r problem goes all the way back to the big 10. You know, drop kicking this ball out the back of the end zone way back in the end of summer, Always looking to how they handled all this. And so There are a lot of people that normally pull for Clemson. I'll be pulling for closer because they're sick of hearing about Ohio State and not have played enough games. There's gonna be a lot of people. Suddenly root for Ohio State, because the last thing they want to see is Alabama and Clemson in the national championship game again and oh, by the way, Ohio State's angry because they've they faced off. It'll be the fourth time. Seven years and I won't want him yet. And this is the game where Woody Hayes bunched together, got fired, and Clemson is out to prove that they're not wounded anymore, and they're going to play. Hopefully, Justus. Well, if you're close to fan that they did in the SEC champs your game with the roster back 100%. Other than that, dude, there's no reason why that prop your boots up and grab a whiskey, right? Yeah, I'm not sure not sure what else you want at this point, boys and girls, but that Z what you're gonna have and we will certainly be watching and you hopefully will be listening to us. It's Marty McGee on Saturday mornings on ESPN radio. It's Freddie and Fitz Simmons. Every week nights. I'm kicking backs talking about whiskey. I usually got an amber liquid and I'm listening to you dudes talk about whatever you're talking about, and hopefully all will listen to us talk about it as he's gained from the heart coming up next continued with the college football playoff preview special right here on these period..

"XM Channel 80 or the part of the show to set us up on the Dr Pepper Twitter feed at ESPN radio. Let's go through this seminar right championship Saturday. Is in the books. Alabama BEACH, Florida Very good game. But Alabama obviously is going to be number one, right? I can't see any scenario. Even though Florida kept a close knit Clemson moves up and overtakes Alabama, can you No, no. No way Alabama could have lost tonight now probably would have thought about putting them number one. Still with them winning, obviously being undefeated SEC champs. There's no doubt they're the number one team in the nation, so they score 52 against Florida was a good game. Alabama runs the table so they should be number one. Clemson should be number two. They beat Notre Dame 34 to 10. Trevor Laurence. Two touchdown passes are rushing Touchdown travesty. TN 124 yards rushing a touchdown on Marty Rogers over 100 yards receiving, so they look great. Against Notre Dame in the A. C. H C C championship game. Then it gets interesting. I'm assuming you got clumps in two as well, Right and no doubt. No doubt about it. Then it gets interesting. I would say by virtue of Ohio State being undefeated. Beat Northwestern 22 to 10 was a tough game. Just a lot of guys because the cove it likely Justin Fields was hurt, sprained his thumb. Trace sermon runs for 3 31, which was insane against a good Northwestern defense. I know it wasn't the most impressive victory. But I would say the big 10 champion that goes undefeated even in a truncated season to me, Emmett, I would put them ahead. Of Notre Dame, and I would move Ohio State up to three, especially if they're big 10 champion That was undefeated were scarlet and gray, right? Because there is you know, some of it has to do with branding and in the college football playoff, especially in the year, 2020 you you probably in the back of your head and thinking about the revenue. You know, in eyes and ratings, and you know that Ohio State is going to get you that all Ohio State had to do was hold up there into the bargain. They held it up. I got him a three just like you do. I'm so glad you said that. I mean, I think we would all be a little naive. Not to think that ratings publicity Play a role in this I mean, so that's why so it leads me the number four. Okay? Hmm. I would put Notre Dame number four. I would still keep them in the top four. Ryan Kelly, the head coach of the Fighting Irish after the loss to Clemson. This was the case that he made For a spot in the college football playoffs. You know, we've got to top 15 wins. We've got a balloon over this crime scene team that you know. It was number one in the country. I don't know that anybody has a resume that as those two wins And you know, we played 11 games. I mean, that matters. Yeah, playing playing 11 games, you know, testing your team week in and week out. You know, I think that In my mind, you know? Puts us as without question is one of the top four teams in the country. I would agree. And add on to that of it, And I'm curious your thoughts on this, too. Look, you might not like Notre Dame. If you don't go to Notre Dame, Notre Dame is a national brand. There's a reason that they have their games on NBC. There's a reason now They're in the A. C C this year, but every other year they're an independent. There's there's a reason that they're able to sustain all this. It's a national brand from coast to coast. So potentially if you're looking at Notre Dame, Alabama In a semi final game. Just think. That is a one loss. Notre Dame team I feel that probably has war appeal to the committee. That a one loss Texas A and M team, What do you think? I agree, And I also think that the one lost Notre Dame team whose only lost came against the A C C champion. Who they beat earlier in the year. To me, That's why Trump's takes us and them is because, yes, they did lose to a good team, just like an M did. But Notre Dame also beat that team, albeit without Trevor Laurence, I get it, but we Uncle Ali did pretty good that day. Hey, did pretty good as well. And JD, Listen, if you have Bama Claims in Ohio State in Notre Dame. I can't think of any brands that are more prestigious in college football than those four. Especially here lately and again, you know, in a year where stuff is crazy, I think this is what everyone wants. Unless you are Texas A and M fan or Cincinnati fan. Yeah, you might feel differently. But your casual college football fan, your casual sports fan. These are the four teams they want to see. You can't get better than Oklahoma. If you won't talk about as far as like National brand. They've got two losses, right? How can you put a team with two losses in Just can't you can't is Heather Delicious told us you can't erase those losses. Yeah, Oklahoma closed out strong. Beat Iowa State. The Big 12 championship game six straight Big 12 championship titles for the Sooners. That's super impressive, but Emmett I mean, Two losses. Yeah, and then ate him and you win seven straight to close out the SEC schedule. That again is is a nice accomplishment for any school toe have but Your point is look at two top 15 wins you beat Clemson won should be the good North Carolina team. Just think In the end, they're going to say Notre Dame's won loss record just looks a little better tow us then Texas saying that was won lost record. Yeah, they're going to do all of that. And then the other question they're gonna ask themselves is who who do people want to see play? Right. Like we don't want to see Notre Dame and Clemson again. And, you know, in two weeks, we don't want to see that. But we would love to see Clemson in Ohio State because they have some history in the college football playoff. You know what Alabama against Notre Dame? I think a lot of people would tune into that. So, yes, I think all of these teams Make a very good argument that they belong in the top four in the other guys. Hey, man, it's a cold world, you know, come back and get him next year. It's not that I don't want to tune in to watch Texas saying them. I have nothing against Texas, saying them. It's just I am way more likely to tune in to watch Notre Dame win or loose. Don't forget you've got the people out there that just hate Notre Dame..

"To college football nine postgame show following the A. C C championship game, lot of hype coming into this one. Lots and lots of hype. Because back on November 7th and South Bend, Indiana, They played an outstanding game and that one was without Trevor Laurence and that ladies and gentlemen is the difference of the shotgun on 1st and 10. I'll play action. Lawrence winds up Fires just got a man at the 35 by a Marty Rogers. I'm nothing but daylight's Rogers to the end zone Touchdown, Clemson 67 yards off bullet from Trevor Lawrence on the lead belongs to the Tigers, Traver Lawrence and absolute seed, a seed. Shomari Rogers seven and three. Let's remember the start of this game. Notre Dame got a field goal is good. Notre Dame was in position for another field. All that was good. But they missed it. Then Notre Dame also had this kind of play fourth and three trips left all emotion managed. The tight end mayor comes in close the slot. Shotgun staff. Under pressure rolls to his right winds up throws downfield tipped off the hands of Davis. It would have been a first down in complete. Turn over on downs here for the fighting Irish. You just can't leave that many points on the board against Clemson. Orange, by the way, comes into today's game with 1054 a chance and only 15 interceptions in his career. You left one right in the end in the backfield. Lawrence on the shotgun winds up throws ball tip, intercepting the 25 yard line. Hamilton's got it and he brings it back for the Irish. Turnover story here already in the first quarter, with 5 20 left in the opening frame. Opening frame just turned into a one sided round. Second four, explains the pocket fires over the middle part of the 15 yard line. For the 52 left pilots. Touchdown. Clemson EJ Williams, True freshman from Phoenix City, Alabama. The story end of a 33 arts strike from Trevor Laurence and the Tigers. Brother lead 10 13 to 3. They weren't done either running left. I got a whole first down and more book tackle. He's loose 2015 10. Right? Style Clemson Travis Ctn goes 44 yards. And Clemson's trying to blow the game open here before the intermission..

"Here comes the blitz stands in the pocket throws complete, Tommy tremble at the 25 yard line. In between the far numbers in the far sideline complete easily a first down There is a penalty marker in the backfield. Want could be holding When you look at what you can usually look at where flags or thrown and it gives you somewhat of an indication of what the penalties might be. Think offense number 23 10 yard penalty forth out. Kyra Million's been so good and pass protection all season gets called for the whole down. He relates what would have been a pick up there on fourth down and said it would have finally been able to do it. But again getting the ball out of his hands with resume with rhythm. Yeah, yes, he did. Nice catch there by Tommy tremble All for not. It's now fourth down in 16 from the 50 so involved in the offense. They jog off the field. Jake Bramblett punt unit there on the field. J stands and waits at his own 35. There's a snap steps up, punks it away low end over end kick bounces near the 20 Marty Rogers scoops it up and goes down right after he caught that one at 13 Yard line. 36 yard punts, No return. Painful sequence there for Notre Dame. They had the pick up there on 4th and 6th from book to tremble. Holding against covered Williams brings on the punt team. So 1 53 remaining in the third quarter and clubs and leads Notre Dame 31 23, Trevor Laurence and company jogging back out onto the field. And once again you ask your defense to get a stop they had they been in position. On the three drives that Clemson has had on two of them. And the third one didn't result in a very good way. 1st and 10 from their own 14. Lawrence, put fire out to the right side completed the 10 and across the 15 on the far side run out of bounds by allusive Cora Moloch. That's a Marty Rogers Games three. Rogers had the big 65 yard touchdown reception early in the game, and he now has Six catches for 121 yards. It's now second down. 71 30 left in the third clock ticking away. Keep an eye on Lawrence running the ball. He's done so 10 times here this afternoon for 79 yards and one touchdown. In the shotgun now walks back up to the line of scrimmage seven seconds left in the play clock ready for the staff. There it is, sets up to his right throws complete. Bounds at 25 Yard line. Cornell Powell, Wendy Quick Out Trout Gains eight Just enough for climbs. In first, the difference in watching Trevon law Trevor Laurence operate the offense and Ian Book, Trevor gets the ball and gets it out of his hands immediately. He and his force to hold the ball a bit longer for Receivers not being where they get chance to get open. Whatever reason, but you see the difference in those two first in sand. Lawrence keeps it himself after faking the run inside runs around the right end to the 30 yard line. Ball came out late. But Trevor was down Boss Qi and the cloud team up for the tackle gain of six. 32 seconds and counting left in the third quarter clubs in on town 31 3 Lawrence taking his time now the entire offense, looking over to their side line..

"Quarter on a handful of plays. Clemson now leaves 7 to 3. This particular drive three plays 80 yards. One minute, one second time of possession. I'm actually seeing the replay. Now. One small correction. It was a Mari right. Marty Rogers was lined up in the slot. It wasn't a simple post route. He had Cornell Powell lined up next to him, and they crossed over. And when they crossed over that confused Notre Dame just a little bit right off the ball. Rogers looked like he was going to run toward the sidelines after he lined up with the slider, headed toward the left sideline, then stuck his foot the ground and ran a post route. So a very clever design that time by Tony L. A. And that's how Marty Rogers got so open. You can't guess against these guys because what you do, and you think you know what's gonna happen if you guess on the route. Sometimes you wind up wrong and Trevor Laurence is a man who could make you pay for that rocket launcher attached to his right arm. His 21st touchdown pass of the season. For Rogers. It's his seventh touchdown reception here. This is senior year modern kicks it away, fielded by tiring of the launch, one of those right stiff arms and and the 15. It's outside the numbers and Brought down after a return of about 15 yards with all that time of possession talk. The Irish with a missed field goal. Find themselves down fourth. While you're right. A lot of ways. You look at the stats right now, especially you take out that one play. Notre Dame is dominated this game, but This date age of quick strike offense. It doesn't take long, especially when.

"Looking back it is the biggest Dick rolling out our number three so glad you could join us a lot to get to man we have even talked baseball get some big games coming up here the next few days Washington nationals might be in the World Series but you know we haven't talked a ton of college football recently but as I mentioned yesterday it's been a few weeks since we were able to talk about a U. N. L. V. football win and boy they had a big one over the weekend on the road against Vandy and if this was the first time in eleven years that U. N. L. V. has beaten up power five team on the road this is really cool stuff and we're really happy to have you in all the head football coach Tony Sanchez joining us coach congratulations on the big win thanks very sure those are you know much need one book program boys good to see them excited after working for nearly done a great job as a sticking together and you know and you to find and saw doctor played really well Saturday they did coach I want let's start with the quarterback position now you've talked a lot about that can you know blood and the kind of you know he was able to get into that Boise state game and really see what is life like to face a team of top twenty five team in the country do you believe that that experience that it playing Boise state at home you know gain a little bit of confidence and and was able to propel him in that game over the weekend with the win yeah I do I think I think him out playing and in about half against Wyoming and talking by maybe I'm not getting any of the one wraps up the course of the week so you know like any back up just not getting out of the store would be kind of going through that not happen only to occur for boys unit again a top flight team then you saw him you know sort of all throughout the course of the game and really settled down by the time we got to band you look like a delivery guy that experience out there in the comfortable out there I think the one game was a big deal we we we commit ourselves to the you know the things we've done builds program and you know because of that it you know it kind of free things up for him nobody gets sock one time often one that held the game and although combined with his natural ability and intelligence really came before front isn't it interesting though because you know obviously we know that our money Rogers is hurt not a hundred percent we all know how athletic Marty Rogers right at it especially running the bone scrapping for first downs and then we know at this kid canyon at it even though he's young we know that he is a hell of an arm and he did a great job thrown the ball is a huge in a perfect here feel coach would be great to have both of their you know talents to the extreme in one quarter back there's no doubt yeah I mean you know there's very few guys like that in the calm cam Newton yeah No Way Out yeah you're going away you know some of that Steve young with us as we start to get a little bit of that kind of guy but you know what the pope great you know in their own right in in different ways no right now obviously you know the focus is on canyon and his abilities and making sure we're doing a really good job of put ourselves in situations to be exposed to on offense get down at one o'clock it is like a defense one games and so again the other folks right now located but it's interesting we got three guys on the roster right now the play quarterback and all who want to give you all the yeah that's a great thing so Armani Rogers a lot of guys get banged up so our money Rogers is about six five two hundred thirty pounds cover on the four five four six I mean he is he is a very very good athlete have you considered factoring him into the office either as a tight end or wide receiver now they can use the quarterback will not help you right now and you know I I will be right time even you know look at that you know me either hello really good player and a quarterback you'll cell phone calls you know get me we got full face again right now that he did a great job leading this team and you know what Mrs curry you never know but will make that decision was appropriate comedy money's good quarterback for the win one game so I mean I think when he does get help the lease for this evening till you are the character on that way because you never know what could happen all the way out there here we that you know we've never done or back in the thanks Frank on yeah I'm still here we got a record breaker all right because let's look ahead now Friday night short week you're on the road playing Fresno state I mean I know every game is huge for you guys particularly this point I know you didn't get off to the start that you want to but now with two wins on the season I guess this is a two part question and I know you can only look ahead to the game Friday night how big is this game Friday night for your chances of still being bowl eligible and getting to that six when mark number one or number two do you believe that the team you have right now that you still have a good or a decent opportunity to get to that mark what they were you still in the western version internationally the vehicles you know but it's one game at a time and then we'll go football game and I think there's a lot of the week in week out because we'll go you said I mean there's so many ups not expect things happening you gotta catch fire you know you gotta get guys helped me at the right time and you know not the moment of it you know what we played well sorry if we can do in a row but I'm excited about you what the one that does it for political gain a good football team the very well coached we work is we just got to go out and play our game again because the code it is like a defense but only on put you in our building in the form of is our guys played so well actually we don't we don't talk about that stuff will and aren't really worry about we worry about the crop the process will take you the alchemy the dryer but if you come in on Monday if you're thinking about a third downs and you know you come in on Tuesday to think about I read more read you know I think a lot of short yardage and you know if you don't focus on the process every day to get out of the game and you know you're not trying to win the game to try to get a first down the first point on the border your first stop you'll put the field of work for more about the process is all the time at least you're the outcome so I get it who got you know you talk about it and it's fun run water clothes and things like that your ball player your coach you don't think about those things and he called the beginning of the year and then you just go ahead work pardon folks on process so so one of the things I look at when a handicap the game is the proponents completion percentage and last year you know they gave give about fifty nine point one percent twenty nine twenty nine touchdowns to ten picks this year fifty one percent playing and playing much better defensively against the past I saw Jay even white was was moved to linebacker what do you attribute the just the better defense against the pass this year well I will get a pass rush you know which is the big thing you know you got the really good job there and I I love a good part of the biggest thing you will have a ton of Saxon got a handful of them we have a ton of pressures will move we're doing a good job of moving guys off the market even before you get in will block Mara's mark but so that's a really good thing so the one thing that we got to do a better job does it is get an exception you know we've got plenty of opportunities and you'll be able to have one last week you against boys we had three really great opportunities and they come up with any of them so we got to make sure that you know that the person the quarterback and you don't get in the zone completion so we got to get some pictures you know tens of games so coach a unique Friday night game on national television give me the scouting report on this Fresno team what your concerns weaknesses strengths with this bulldog team well you know there that you know the customer does a good job of manufacturing off and you're gonna see a lot of difference that slot if the trick plays early in the game they take eight on the shot I mean they really try to look it up for school and got a break back a little bit early on it so you don't know whether some of that the play calling storm because he's gonna call all kinds of different gadgets and things like that to try to book with points on the board you see it early in games like even the airforce came it came out you know a couple of interplay the thing to to double passes and he only scored early in the local yet be ready for those things but you know the again ostensibly you know you got you know all right rain and every decision it does a good job back there you know kind of scrappy you know running there was little money back you know kinda reminds me of like you know kind of like a lex type guy Sir yeah we'll get out to the edge he's a speed guy they struggled running the ball this year we got to make sure they don't find there the run game against us or get a you know kind of all the way they've been in force with global launch a bunch of their defense you know they they do a lot of different things in the back and so you got a you know no one formation of such can you know kind of clear up that back in box but then you have to be able to run out of those nations will not load up on yeah but you know they've got a Michael Walker by their their best guided anymore linebacker is a really really good player along with the errant Mosby those two guys one hit will while they had some transition in their defensive line so again it's it's a good football team you know I don't know if they're quite what they were last year but their dealer proud program the used to winning games and you know plan and championship so yeah I got to get over that hump well we went there and played a really good team two years ago and you know him with the win with us if we can try to find it out again well certainly you guys are going into this game with some confidence there's no question about that after what transpired or we can coach we hope to get out there on Friday night kick some **** always appreciate it when you take some time to join this year the Vegas taken go get in Friday night will be watching nor maps a very long time thanks a lot coach always appreciate it there you go coach Tony Sanchez you in all the head football go big game Friday night because if they can still win Friday of Fresno you can say that well maybe the doors open little but that that's a big deal Tony Sanchez is a really good guy well there's no question he's a great guy yeah I honestly the spread I believe is fourteen and a half a balanced you LV uninsured when she asked what they were gonna covered I just on a question I can ask okay and don't use I'm just not trying to create a sound bite form I'm not I'm not sure I was about to graduate on the on the new complex which is exciting sure it's actually helped recruiting a lot I think you know they can win this game it's not me being biased they have a balanced offense Fresno state does not run the ball well their quarterback does not throw the ball very well you know he's got a lot of talent defensively they really doing Magyar running back with Charles Williams and those five wide receivers and a confident can you know blood in a big offense of line I'm I am that this will be one of my biggest plays the legal you it'll be plus fourteen.

"Marty Rogers back in the game here's a guy who blew out a CC on the spring the expected to see him he's in the slot to the right lord to give to ET edit history may not feel. then slammed down the tremendous play made by twenty Johnson the middle linebacker well the middle linebacker comes on a weights and hit each year and as soon as he gets his ball drives a back might have driven them almost out of they gave me a good spot because he took him down about the thirty five but they're going to mark the ball to thirty. still third in the eleven to be a forty seven yard field goal try if they can I convert. need to get to the a and M. twenty three receivers to the left to the white side T. he gets to the right Lawrence on the gun looking less stepping up railing laugh he can learn a little bit he's gonna throw across his body to the. just. the end of the game well it's all about athleticism and ever Lawrence seeks the plate pressure in a pocket rolls out to his left awful tough for a right hander and Ross realizes it six four two or five eight scrambled role he runs right up the left sideline while hide the defense of Lawrence could just what's the ball down the field for an easy touchdown great move by Trevor lord take great move the gains brought you by boost mobile switch now get unlimited gigs on our super reliable super fast nationwide network boost mobile the switch the gives you more. Jaden TV who left the game earlier came back and he's being helped off again all the way across the field from the Clemson timeline is sidelined. the big lime and could not bring down Lawrence when they had a chance in the big play to Ross two point nine touchdowns a year it almost looked like he he pulled a muscle in the middle of the plate because as he thought he thought he had a sack on Lawrence and tried that burst in the just like you it kind of came up like something.

"Likely a third one coming back at some point this season coming back from an injury or Marty Rogers they've got four senior starting on the offense of line offered simply this team is going to be so strong on the defensive side of the ball Ryan maybe where we have a few more questions they had four star defensive lineman that are all gone all four were drafted the NFL three of them drafted in the first round that doesn't happen very often at any school and so the fact that it was at Clemson shows where they're at as a program now but guess what they still have that will swing they still have read Venables they're going to have somebody that's waiting in the wings and the difference of one position that's going to be the next door we just don't know what his name is yet we're gonna find out pretty soon let's talk about the team on the other side for Georgia tech it's a new era that begins tonight you head coach Jeff Collins he takes over Atlanta a new system comes along with them first time in twelve the yellow jackets are not gonna be the triple option seem they work under their former head coach Paul Johnson so a new system **** young guys fifty five freshmen on this roster there's a lot of unknowns about Georgia tech as we start the new year we heard from Jeff Collins a moment ago that this is a complete transformation of a football program and that's exactly what it is you have an option file team that is now going to throw the football which is that's going to be on president in it over the self we're hearing that three different quarterbacks are gonna play whether they take snaps as quarterback whether they take some snaps at wide receiver I'm not quite sure yet but we're gonna figure out whether or not those guys can throw a pass Georgia tech's gonna play with some tight ends they haven't done that call it twelve years so there's a lot of new things and look you can't control your schedule when you hire a.
