And so this is overdue and certainly well-deserved congratulations to mardi. They're playing the legends. The hall of fame legends game tonight. Great american ballpark after mardi goes in so it should be a fun evening celebrating mardi reds history. Congratulations to him. Huge marty brennaman fan wrote about exhaustively two years ago. The two things to me about mardi number one honesty. I know that honesty sometimes has rub some people the wrong way. Look man i. I believe if i'm going to give somebody my ears my attention. I want honesty and the fact that he was willing to give it the fact that he was given the rope to provide honesty on his broadcast for decades is something that i admire. Also i think a play by play especially in baseball play by play. Broadcasters true genius is is evident not so much when they have to rise to the occasion. No three to game two on two outs. Ninth-inning mardi rose to the occasion for those but especially over his last couple of years. The number of times. I would have him on in august in september. The reds are thousand games out of first place. They're probably losing the game. They're playing sometimes decisively and yet his ability to tell stories and be entertaining. I think that's a lost art. I really do. It's a lost art. Somebody like me. Who's attention span. Can wayne it requires a broadcaster who in a game like that. The season like that can keep my attention. Marty.

"So i i think that they again like i said it's disappointing that this is the direction they took and also having taken it. They seem to have done reasonably well for themselves. You know one team in central. That i would like to highlight because i feel like with the cubs. Here we're going to show up. He knows delighted. Really liked. brewers deadline brewers deadline. I feel like they feel like they located pretty well for themselves. They weren't huge moves. But i think eduardo escobar. People have been like where he will. He played well. He will allow them to not play kosten hero. Who i think it's just really bad at this point so i like that escobar acquisition. I think john curtis good rate. I think daniel norris how many times is daniel. Norris moved at the trade deadline. Hate the deadlines just dread that time of year. Yeah in they picked up ready to lead earlier in the month and of course they struck early for willie adama sues been just a a huge to them stick so yeah like you know superstars not the biggest names but again they are a team that had been active in the past. And you know we're just kind of fill in tinkering here and there and yet seems like they did a pretty good job of that because like they're set i mean you know they're not running away with the division exactly but they've certainly separated themselves. I think they are clearly the best team in that division and so they're really just retooling for october. And i think a lot of the second half for them is about managing the workloads of their starters who mostly have not had heavy workloads in the past and they just have to make sure that they go and talk toper with those guys available which they were not all when they face the dodgers last october so if they can enter october with a healthy and not terribly fatigued were driven burns and peralta and that back in the bullpens like they're going to be a formidable opponent so really this was just about adding some depth and papering over some weaknesses and yes i think it was a smart approach and then the cardinals took the give us all your old left at all john. Lester j hats. I guess line for them. that's fine. They weren't likely to be a postseason our anyhow but it was We doing here little side of choices but was and then The reds They didn't need to do anything. Because joey votto is a superhero. Now man it just even. We talked about him. I gave the joey votto earlier in the week. And since then he said about five more homers. Were speaking here before his game on saturday but he has homered in seven straight games. Eight is the record of course and he's hit multiple homers in some of those games so just updating the stats Going back to june twenty six which was right after. We lamented the facts. That joey votto is apparently old and less productive now his slash lines since that date now up to three thirty three four thirty eight seven sixty nine. That is a two hundred six. Wrc pus which trails only shohei ohtani at two thirteen over that span. He's tied with otani for the major league lead in homers over that span with thirteen. I don't know what is happening here. But i'm loving it and see trent wrote about this and he wrote when it comes down to it veto. Said it's simple. I'm trying to homer. He said that's the difference. I've been trying to homer so if only it were that easy for everyone but apparently it's that easy for him so he's been like yeah right exactly. Yeah i don't know if like the the old marty brennaman complaints about joey votto not being aggressive enough for taking too many walks or whatever. Well maybe he was right. If it turns out that fatto actually could have just homered every day if he said his foot yet. This is wild but as for the actual additions that the reds made it was A lot of relievers that they picked up givens as we mentioned from the reds and justin wilson and and movies. Yeah so you know not major. They don't seem to be in a position to make major moves at this point. Maybe in the past would have been good to like have a shortstop. Maybe for instance. Trevor story could have found his that to rape and you know then you have the pirates who traded or cash guys. But you know that that that system is very deepen our as very good so you know. I think that we should approach the standard sort of posture. We should have with teams that have been rebuilding for a while or bad for awhile or cheap for a long time is that we should be. We should be charlie brown with the memory that lucy always pulse the football away right. That's the posture that we should have. And i think that they're doing good work here like this. This new group which is different than the old group is at least seems to have a vision and a direction and they seem to be executing on that and we will have to wait to see if it works and none of our standing. Criticisms of that ownership group are changed by the fact that they have fortified a farm system. Right stuff all still stands. And i think that they are. They're doing thing here. And hopefully that thing works because goodness knows that pittsburgh fans deserve to have good baseball on the field again. So so they traded richard rodriguez to atlanta. He's someone who has lost some spin and perhaps some stuff ineffectiveness. Since the the sticky steph ban went into effect but braves apparent. We still a believer to some extent. And they also traded austin davis for michael chavis A sherrington drafty austin now. Back in charrington organization. So that was kind of an interesting little move but Yes they had made more moves in the days leading up to that. So that's the central now east. I guess the big move heavy bias cubs to the mets so bias at said earlier in the week that he hopes he would get to play with francisco endure after free agency while he didn't have to wait that long now he gets to play with. Lindores sooners lender gets back from the injured list so the cubs also sent trevor williams to the mets in that move which is may be helpful for now has degrom is out for or extended period and the metzer trying to piece together rotation until some of their injured..

Everyone's going to everyone stitch tags me for that instead shag. Pf nominated chaps. His dog is where starting. Yeah i was two years ago. I'll double check with all the details. Bill you o'clock all right. Nice nice all right next up next up. We have apology of the year. Now this was a very very tight race. This was an incredible class this year. Some great apologies. So we'll start with the apology now. You probably didn't expect to see this guy in here. But urban meyer did apologize this year for hiring the The iowa coach yes. He said so. He hired chris. Doyle as strength and conditioning coach He then fired him. Like i don't know two days later. After the backlash and urban meyer said that he accepted his resignation. A said we're responsible for all aspects of our program. And in retrospect should've given greater consideration to how his appointment have affected all involved. Wish him the best as he moves forward in his career. So urban meyer with a good apology for him. I feel like him. He's he's well on his way to earning the lifetime. Achievement and apologizing awards. Yes that was for him. That was a great apology. the presumptive favorite. Thom brennaman with an apology after his mike incident which he transcribed as he said. I made a comment earlier tonight. That i guess went out over the air. That i am deeply ashamed of i pride myself and think of myself as a man of faith and there's a drive into deep left by castellanos there will be a home run and so that will make it a four zero ballgame. I don't know if i'll be putting on the headset again. i just. I still can't believe that happened. What fucking moment one His dad's on twitter now. Oh really dad's already yes. Marty brennaman is on twitter. People were speculating. It was his account. He'd never actually claimed it now since he's no longer on the air he's fuel. He feels free to defend his son. Yeah so he's been like replying to people be like my son's getting real bad rap for parents. All the replies to anyone of his tweets is just that copy paste and then there's a deep drive to left in a weird way. I do think you'll probably have a comeback because of how ridiculous. That apology was and he probably will never known we'll help. He could have a career like he come back he could be twenty more years he will always be the newcastle. It's it's actually a good thing for the apology. Became the story right lower. When he called it word he said yes. He's got a new job by the way already high school sports in the cincinnati area. Wow and he made a joke out of press conference. Yeah okay about his own drive to the tepola. Oh got it. He's back on his feet. Cancel culture yeah. Damn another one bites the dust Stephen smith gets apology of the year nominee for his comments about shohei ohtani. He did so seabass. Smith says a lot of things but when you know that he is serious he is looks directly into the camera. He did the serious. Stephen a smith tone and he looked in the camera and then. Espn did like four days worth of programming off of that So you know. He's sorry you know he sorry. I love i love when they when someone fucks up and espn great. Now we can just sell shows for the rest of the week and then they just put the they use the bottom line on yes and they run the quotes from their own employees apology. Like they they have you know. Mlb than it scrolls nfl. News and then scrolls to. Stephen smith apologizes news and then run entrusted react. And then lastly we have jeffrey toobin who you forgot was the cnn reporter who forgot to close his zoom and jerked off during a company meeting His his apology people obviously remember the story but they they kind of forget how his apology wet. It was something. I went and looked it up. he said it was deeply moronic in an indefensible and then he went on to say. I've spent the seven subsequent months miserable months in my life. Trying to be a better person in therapy trying to do some public service working in a food bank working on a new book. What is what does a food bank have to do with jerking off in front of your coworkers. Going to therapy. I went to therapy to overcome my addiction to jacking off. Accidents closing zooms or. I'm working on a new book. That i'm going to make money from what does that i just. It's so funny when people use therapy as like this is my get out of jail free card. I did something wrong but by saying that. I'm currently therapy. It's like when riley cooper went to go seek treatment for being racist. Yes thirteen step program for a week and then they brought him back like okay. he's cured. It's all good here. If i jerked off in front of co workers on a zoom the analysis analogous apology that i would issue if i was jeffrey toobin. I'd say i've worked really hard trying to do. I'm in therapy. I'm trying to do some public service. I sold the pile for fifteen thousand dollars. And i'm working on some new parlays. That will definitely not lose. That would be what i would say. I say sorry for being horning working on a new book. Sorry for party that he had seven months to be like. I'm going to get in front of american. Be like listen guys. I'm digging deep. I'm working on new book. I hope books about accidentally jerking off on his. What i i wanna fuck an ad wing on my hamptons house so i'm working on new book. all right. Do we have a special. "The Reds have been no hit by the Cubs at home more times than any other opponent won't happen today. How many times have Cubs pitchers held the Reds hitless in Reds home games? We talked about Red's fantasy camp, which has been Postpone in 2021 push to 2022 because of covert. But ah, Jack was the manager of my team in 2006 that I played a light on the team with my dad. We were the power Jax. We won the championship, talked about fantasy camps. We talked about Hank Aaron and the home run. He gave up on opening day to Hank that tie the all time record talked about Don Sutton. Hey, talked about Marty Brennaman some really good stuff, and I asked him about his 1973 season. Ray didn't just win 19 games he made 40 starts He had. I think 16 complete games, seven shut outs and he threw 293 innings. He said, Yeah, with Sparky. I don't know how I did that spark. He was Captain Hook. It's in podcast form. 700 wlw dot com Alright? This. This popped into my head on Friday with sadly, the passing of Hank Aaron. And I've been thinking about it ever since. And I thought tonight it was worthy of maybe a top occurs maybe a segment or so with your phone calls, and I've been reflecting on since the start of 2020, the number of baseball Hall of Famers we have lost. Um, alkaline. Tom Seaver. Whitey Ford. Bob Gibson. Lou Brock, Joe Morgan, Phil Niekro, Don Sutton, Hank Aaron, and we conclude manager Tommy Lasorda, but nine players Nine players some of the greatest in the history of the game. And I got to thinking about, uh, Justin Amazing scene at Great American Ballpark during the All Star game in 2015. If you remember around that Major league Baseball didn't online vote, where fans had to vote for The greatest player and their team's history. Was a season long campaign up to the All Star break. And from there every team's vote. The 30. Was then presented to the fans for an online vote of the four Living legends, the four greatest living legends in Major League Baseball. Remember that scene when they walked the four out onto the field locked arm in arm? And it got me thinking about this. Hank Aaron was one of the four that night. Great American ballpark. Honored is one of the four living legends. As of right now. Who do we consider? The four greatest living baseball players. That's a hell of a list. I just write off of iconic players that have passed away. Who are the four greatest living baseball players right now. Give you three in a blink of an eye. I could use your help on the fourth. "Of Fame pitcher about Red's fantasy camp in about Hank Aaron and about Don Sutton and about opening day 1974 facing Hang care, and he got in some shots and Marty Brennaman after Marty fired shots at him last week in the back of worth, and in that friendship, that in podcast form at 700 wlw calm. I've also written about the Hall of Fame. The voting process. The case for bonds and Clemens the case for Scott Rolen, and more all at 700 wlw dot All right, let's begin here and I'll open up the lines right out of the Shu. Because I want to talk some reds that was a solid hour of baseball from 6 to 7. It was predominantly Hall of Fame. Lets do reds Now you've had a chance to let it sink in and process. The fact that Marcus Simeon is out Andrelton Simmons is out. The Korean Star shortstop is out. Freddy Galvis is out. And the Reds are currently out a shortstop. We know the issues with the offensive year ago they hit 2 12 1 of the worst offenses in the history of rights baseball. We know what the obvious upgrade was for this team in the off season to get a shortstop. The musical chairs We talked about last night it spends and it spends in it. It stops and seats or grabbed, and now it stops and and the Reds are or left looking, and they don't have anybody. Phillies also need somebody. That leaves Didi Gregorius as The loan for the most part, the lone free agent option at shortstop. They're certainly trade options is a possibility. But I think we all agree and the Reds have made this clear. That's why they're pursuing shortstop Jose Garcia. They love him. They just don't love him enough Right now. The put him in a position to be in everyday shortstop in Major League baseball in 2021. They didn't really want to do it last year, they eventually had to. They did it, and it was tough to watch. It's got a glove. There's no question about that. He batted 67 times. Last year, he struck out 26 times He hit 1 94. He played in 24 games. He walked once. You want once in 24 games. Again. They love him. Perfect, perfect world. He is their opening day shortstop of 2022. But no team with hopes dreams, aspirations of being in contention in 2021. Is going to feel the team with Jose Garcia at shortstop. The young man has not taken in it bad at double A. He hasn't taken it back at Triple A They jumped him from high a last year and three men. The deep end of major league baseball, double A is the most important development level of a minor league baseball player. He blew right past that to the major leagues. Kyle Farmer. Everybody likes He's not an everyday shortstop. He's just not. I mean, they nontendered him to begin with. They sign him to a split contract. He makes exit the place in the majors this year he makes except spends a place in the minors This year. He's versatile. He can play multiple positions, but he's not an everyday shortstop, and he certainly can't hit well enough. He certainly can't hit right handed pitching well enough to be considered a legitimate everyday shortstop in Major League baseball. Oh, by the way, he's played Ah, just short of 90 innings at the position, and he will be 30 in the upcoming season again. If you have hopes and dreams and aspirations of a contending in a division you don't have Kyle firmer as your everyday shortstop. So riddle me this Batman. One of the Reds do Jon Heyman says the number is looking at two years. 30 million. Sell Jim Boden today on the athletic guest. Two years 24 million. Again back to that perfect world. The Reds could get somebody plug him in for this year is a stopgap the bridge and then hand things off the Jose Garcia in 2022. The Reds got the worst, arguably the worst production of any team in major league baseball last year at shortstop, Depending on which metric. Do you look at it was the Reds of the worst or the Pirates? The worst And if the Pirates were the words the Reds with the second worst They need a shortstop. What do you want him to do? We'll run through some scenarios is we come back and grab some of your calls? 5137491 7800, the big £1.700 on a TNT were going to learn something very interesting about this team about this ownership. Over the next month, maybe month. Plus, maybe they don't have their shortstop by the start of spring training the first game, But one month from today they played their first game. Who do you want is.

"Rocky last battle. 40 minutes ago, We talked to Marty Brennaman about the late great Hank Aaron. No, that's that stands out in my mind because I saw I was watching that game on television when he tied the record and then I saw the next game when he hit the To break the record. Home Run Inn in Atlanta, so I will always remember that, but we're talking about the greatest sports. In your mind the greatest sports feed of all time. 749 7800 the big £1.700 on a TNT and you know different generations. There's going to be something that means. Something to you that you witnessed. And you'll never forget it. I think for me, I mean, look, there's a ton, but I think Cal Ripken's record of 2632 games played the BB Lou Gehrig's record by 500 games. To me. I know the day and age were you know, I don't know. It's just I think athletes are less willing to, you know, to just play through stuff. And why would you the money so I don't know. It's just something I think and You know, kind of sad along the same lines of Brett Farve as the most consecutive NFL game started 297 like some like that, so I think those air Ones that are impressive. And I don't see him getting broken at any time. Soon. If not ever before we get into your record breaking stories. How about Janan? Erlanger? Jen? What do you have? It's just never gonna myself for a minute. But back in 1973. I was a kid of 13 years old and my Hank was going through this trying to break the record. I wrote him a letter as I've done throughout my life, and I got a got a new water back from him. It was a type written letter, but he signed it. It's got the brains. He's got the brains letterhead on it, and I'll just read you one of the lines, he says, very heartwarming to know that you were in my corner. I'll always be grateful for the interest you have shown in me. And it goes on upstairs on appreciate your warm witches and you're sentimental. Your settlement of brutality means more to me than you know, Um, you know, like I said, I grew up in the seventies are just turned 60 last year when I heard of his passing. I knew I had the letter and I came up here and one of the bedrooms in my house and I found a letter from Take care. Not right Throughout the years, I've written Bob House them. Not right. Nick Wagner on doll that but decided I had from, um Hank Aaron was what I'll never forget. Mom and I were actually after game 1974. I was 14 at that point, and then Hank hit the home run and the game was stopped. Everybody in the audience. Anybody in the crowd swept up my dear mother. He's still with me at the age of 19. Who I think she was saying that she kept thinking that we could be the hammer on the beat up. But that was also Marty Brennaman. First, a little thing with the lead and something that I will never forget. And I can this letter that I have. It's just something that Nowadays we have social media. I'm active on it, too. But you know, that's that's great that descends. Thank you. That's something to hang on to write their name, hair personal letter from home. Let's talk to Frankie about greatest sports feet in your lifetime. Frankie. What do you think, Eddie? A Rocky, I think scoring a lot of basketball. A lot of points are a lot of goals and all that's great. But if if you're talking sports feed, it's gotta be life and death. And to me. It's Alex Honnold Climate L cop without any ropes. No, I think I said that a couple weeks ago that that is the single Greatest athletic achievement ever. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, you said if you you know, if you miss you die. It's not like you miss you, You know, But what did Frankie do? You remember? Do you do recall either one of you guys recall the name of that documentary about him doing that? Because that called free soloing every story solo. Yeah, if you've never seen that make a point to watch it because it's very I mean, you know, charge up, but it will scare the hell I'm watching three times. And I still get nervous watching it. Yeah. I mean, if you've seen that you can also watch the behind the scenes of that making that movie and that's all his friends filming it. I mean, they have to be there day in and day out watching this guy, possibly One of their best friends possibly die trying to do this crazy thing, and I think it's one thing to like, score a lot of points, but he's done something that people are afraid to try to do. Yeah, well, one of them and thanks, Frankie. I mean, That really is like I said, if you haven't seen that movie, watch it and you will be blown away on Belay the absolute insanity of what that guy did. A Gregan Crittenton. What's going on, Greg? I'll just driving down the road talking to people. Okay, give greatest sports feet in your life but in my life Yep. My life the greatest sports feed in my life. I scored the winning run on this. Be like not home. Work in 1974 was created. Ice wasn't against William Thomas Funeral, Huh? Yeah, he took Willie Deep. "Well, today, we lost a great so did the one and only hammering Hank Air. Yep. Died at the age of 86 for Have to be of a certain age. I mean, certainly, if you're any kind of a baseball fan, you have heard of him no matter how old yours, But if you're my age and you probably remember him plain, don't you? Was born in 1980, so I don't really remember. That's right. He was gone before then, but out of the game before then, But he The guy and I'm your bread today that he was, he said he was more proud of how well he could hit as opposed to the home run thing is getting was up 3400 heads of so much 34 3500 hits and also again it never struck out, 100 times. Um, ever in a season in 23 seasons, I told you earlier. I looked up that stat last year in a year where what there was like 53 55 games played. There was guys that were striking out 90 80 sixties something times. It's crazy, different, different era. Let's talk to a man who was well associate ID with Hank Aaron. Our good buddy Hall of Famer Marty Brennaman, Marty Horia. I'm good guys. How are you? We're doing well. So, Marty, we were talking about this earlier. And for people who don't know, Marty that put your first game. Uh, well live game regular season game with the Reds was opening day 74 when Hank it that record tying home run Now, how many minutes had you been on the air when you made that call? Because I don't mean talk about boom right there. Well before batters in any I would say. Uh, probably from the time the game started until the time Baron's ball left the park. Maybe, uh, 20 minutes I was gonna say 15 $20 and and I know Marty, you famously said you don't plan your calls out. But you had have been kind of nervous is your first game and you know there's a good chance this guy's gonna hit a pretty significant home run. Well, I was nervous, Rocky, but I was nervous picked up from a personal perspective because it was my first game and 50 some 1000 people that riverfront and, um you know, I was awed by the number of people there and how special opening day was. In this city. Naturally, I knew what was going on as far as Henry was concerned, because it was a controversial, uh, issue dealing with the fact that the Braves didn't want to claim it all in the Syriza. They wanted to keep him off the field and sitting on 713 home runs until they got back to Atlanta the following Monday night. And the commissioner stepped in at the last minute and said No, he's gotta play two games. Hey, said we way can't fool around with the integrity of the game. And, you know, I understand why it's important that he hit the home run in Atlanta, but he's got to play two games in Cincinnati. So Once they settled that, But I really truly did not give any thought at all. What I was going to say in the event that he hit one because as I've said a million times, especially over the last couple of years, I I never tried to plan what I was gonna say, Uh, leading up to that eventful moment in the history of the game. I just I wasn't Good enough because whatever I planned to say would would sound preconceived and I just tried T O convey what was going on on the field and hopefully it would flow well and And it would convey you know what was happening at that moment, so I really didn't think a whole lot about what I was going to say. In the event, he hit one We're talking to Marty Brennaman and Marty. I got the impression that maybe you got to know Hank a little bit over the years. Yes, Yeah, we were around each other a number of times and the thing that so impressed me about him. I told somebody earlier today if you were to, uh, the define the term a true professional athletes. For a dictionary purposes. You would put his picture in there because he embodied everything that was important to a player that was gifted whether it be in the National Football League or in MLB or the Hockey League or the embassy. Whatever the case might be. And he had everything. He had incredible talent. He had a certain grace and dignity about him that that that people were attracted to Um it almost every time I was with him. Whether it be a Cooper's down or especially a, Cooper said. I guess it was where it made me realize he would always get one of the larger ovations. Even in an event where he was surrounded by great players from the past like it is at the Hall of Fame induction weekend, he always seemed to get a around of applause and cheers a little bit higher than most people. And I think it was because whether a person had ever known him maybe had not even known anything about him other than what they watched on TV, heard on the radio or saw in person What they went to a game. They could tell that he was a different Type of person. He had relatively no ego. Um, And so he was just a great man, and it was kind of interesting two years ago, and I was going through my last season We were in Atlanta..

"Obviously, when your first game as a big league announcer In his very first game is, you know Marty Brennaman made this historic call that ball of God believe Henry Aaron has just tied rose home run record of 714 days with a cloud over the 3 75 marker in left field. And then, of course on 37 16, and you know the rest. But that was Marty's first game and there to witness history is as Hank Aaron Henry Aaron tied Babe Ruth's record. Go on to beat that obviously, too. On, You know, that's what remember from baseball fan's perspective here in Cincinnati. Um, but you know, it was a social movement before social justice is the thing he was fighting for this and the one I'll leave you this comment as remember the passing Hank Aaron Day. So he tells this story back in the early 19 fifties, and then he was playing for the Indianapolis clowns of the Negro League. And they were having an office, a rain delay or whatever it might be. He was in a restaurant behind the stadium there in Indy. And they were having breakfast as a teen. And as they waited for the rain to stop, so they go to the ballpark and get ready for the game that afternoon, they heard. Plates breaking in a kitchen. And he said that was the worst sound I've ever heard in my life. I still even those later years can can remember in my mind that sound of breaking glass and even when he heard things break throughout his life to make him cringe because what they were doing then in the early 19 fifties in that restaurant Is that in and I think they're in D. C at the time As a matter of fact, so here they are in Washington. Land of the free home of the brave. And they were destroying the plates. They were actually breaking the plates. That had touched the forks. The forks that had been in the mouths of black men. He said that if dogs have eaten off those plates over Washington used them, but because they were black, they actually physically destroyed the plates. That Henry Aaron and his teammates eight on on that day. Has someone who wasn't alive back then. In being relatively older now. Can't even fathom that I can't even Can't even get my mind around that thinking. So, Yeah, We've got a lot of stuff. A lot of things We have to do it make things fair. There's no doubt about it. There's issues of accountability as well. There's a lot of factors in this whole thing. Not making excuses. But going, you know, for those who believe, man. Things haven't gotten better. Well, I mean, Just think about that. I, You know, it's so foreign and so disgusting to me personally. But I can't even comprehend that that would have ever happened, right? You know, we talk about people who are deniers of history, for example. Deny that the Holocaust or 9, 11 are all these things that ever happened. You wonder why? Because it's um It's just so shocking and just so wait. What? No. Come on, man. It was in a movie. Now that that actually really happened. Hank Aaron, the Hall of Famer dead at the age of 86 today known and one of those rare people who are known much more more what they did, I think in their impact after playing baseball than they did on the field for Ah, Long career of 21 years anchor and dead today at the age of 86. Phil Rizzuto was essentially the voice of baseball for bay, and as much of you is like, a character and like, that's funny as he was. He was sort of the that to me. He sounded like what baseball was supposed to sound like. I was just listening to meatloaf's bat out of hell. It came on the radio, and you have the baseball call because it's about a guy and a girl in a car and he's treating it like it's a baseball game. First base second base there be You know what I'm talking about? Yes, done. I used to really like Ralph Kinder and Bob Murphy and the old Nets days. Even Lindsey Nelson goes a little further back. I am a club when they pulled Brent Mussburger at the end off college football. I kind of missed that I thought he liked, he said. Big game. Um, I always liked him better. Is this studio host, But yeah, I I understand that, Um, where you You know, Johnny Miller in golf is another voice. Where? When I heard it, it always sounded. It was just different because I didn't think Johnny was going to Throw verbal bouquets at every golfer like I thought that he was going to tell you what his aren't unvarnished opinion and and I was appreciated that but there's there's so many broadcasters down through the years that you know you just hear that voice and you go. You know when Howard Cosell Howard Cosell was That was a unique voice. It wasn't it wasn't a trained voice. But he rivaled the game that he was doing or boxing match. Probably more. So is a boxing commentator. Then what he did in the booth because he wasn't a football guy. But in boxing, it felt like he was more of a boxing guy because his relationship with Mohammed Ali Ah, let me see Taylor in South Dakota. Hey, Taylor, what's on your mind? Hey, Dan. I'm not in 1002nd time. Like all the second time I got it. Anyway, Um I think I think that I'm a first off on a big rebate. Pakistan. I haven't proposed a little kid. But I think if Tom Brady goes into Lambeau heathen rockers and then faces my homes in the Super Bowl. And six of the cell and bit more homes in the Super Bowl. It could just kind of watch his hands to be like I did. I went on the road. I want all three games on the road in the playoff. I need that supposes. Second past 12 in the league and I need my home. The guy you think is the guy everybody thinks is the cake. Yeah. Yeah, agrees. I mean that. I don't think anybody will have gone through. Three quarterbacks, three Hall of Fame quarterbacks in succession and first Ballot Hall of Fame quarterbacks. My home's Rodgers Brees. If if it happened now, you could say, well breeze. At the end of his career. Rogers is playing at an all time high and we don't how about we? How about we wait and see what happens? Let's go right now. We gotta have a hot take. This. This would be as impressive as anything Brady ever accomplished. But let's see if he gets through the Green Bay Packers right now. Yes, the club You mean rolling through the F C e spells and mag Media overrated Colts team would feasted on the F C South..
