Dan Bongino: Are Republicans Getting Cocky in Red Counties & States?
"OK, so listen. I live in Martin County, Florida, and Martin County, Florida is a really, really red place. There are no Democrats elected here in Martin County, Florida. But I'm going to warn you. And you've probably seen this in Texas, too, Jim, a pretty blood red state to where they seem to be more focused on attacking other Republicans they than do on actually going after what really matters, right? Yeah, you just want something just just like, yeah, yeah, just as I heard rumors about it. Yeah. But down here in Florida, I don't want you to have any illusions that you move down down here. It's a blood red state and like everything's hunky dory. The problem with one party rule, Republicans or Democrats or is they get cocky. Democrats run inner cities into the ground. And the thing with Republicans is become they more like Democrats over time because of why? Because of the golden rule. Most Republicans are really Democrats in elected office. However, no Democrats are really Republicans. And what happens? So we have these county commissioners here in Martin County and only one of them is they're all Republicans. Only one of them is a real Republican. Our name is Stacey Hetherington. The That's rest it. are effectively rhinos. One of them is just an outright, in my opinion, Democrat. Sarah heard. She's not even like pretending. Why am I bringing this up? Because it's not. Oh, it's a local issue. It's not. I see this problem nationally, whether it's Congress or locally. Here's the problem with Republicans. When I ran for office, I saw this. Whether you're in Garrett County, Maryland, which is like as blood red as gets, it there may be one Maryland. Yeah, Maryland's in western Mount Maryland. It's probably like one person voted for Biden in the whole whole county. When you have one party rule, what winds up happening, whether it's Martin County, Florida or Garrett County, Maryland, is eventually over time, the lobbyists and the people figure out that

Biden Falsely Claims He Was an Activist During Civil Rights Movement
"Hey, you want to talk about really disgraceful? Let me read you a quote from Biden this weekend at a Juneteenth celebration. Here's Biden again, also he claiming to be a civil rights activist. This has been debunked probably no less than a hundred times by even liberals who are tired of this guy saying this. Here he is again, a man with no human dignity at all at this Juneteenth celebration. Here's the quote. As the past few years remind us, our freedoms have been put at risk by racism, and it's still too powerful a force. You know, I was a kid in the civil rights movement and I used to think I believed that you defeat could hate, but hate only hides. Folks, you know what doesn't hide with Biden? B .S. It's out there in the open every time. He was never a kid in the civil rights movement. This has been debunked. Nobody knows this guy from the civil rights movement in the area of Delaware. I'll tell you who he is, though. He's the guy who gave a speech telling a largely black audience they were going to be put back in chains. He's the guy who bragged when he was running for president, I think last time, that his state, Delaware, was a slave state. Oh, you never heard about that? Oh, you didn't know about that? Put in a search engine. He's the guy who said about Barack Obama that he's the first clean black guy who's articulate that he ever met. Really? He's the first black guy you met that showers? That's interesting. That's a fascinatingly racist thing to say. You want to come down and visit us in Martin County? Visit Jim in Texas. We'll introduce you to a number of black men and women. I assure you, we're very some of them. Telling people he was in the civil rights movement. The only movement this guy was in was the Corn

"This has become a national problem though hasn't it I mean you've been in office a while So you have a people like you here you've got a really good kind of sense for the county You've been here a lot longer than most people But if you seen the illegal immigration problem in this county Martin county I know you talked to other sheriffs around the rather large state of Florida as well Has it gotten worse in the state of Florida over the last few years And I say that because I think the obvious answer to the audience is expecting yeah Biden's in charge But what they don't know sheriff is like you said before given our proximity to Cuba we've had a lot of migration from foreign countries both legally and illegally for a very long time So you sense the illegal crisis getting worse It has been closed and right now it's really high We're seeing it you said that Arizona Texas our border states We're only 90 miles from a foreign country which would be The Bahamas and they're coming straight across We don't get near the traffic obviously That doesn't border gas but we are planning and here's the other problem because we're in South Florida that traditionally has been a large legal immigrant board population in various industries The families that are coming across in Texas now are coming here We have a report and video of the federal government unloading a bus of undocumented personnel at a rest day on the turnpike And then they just take a line into the community And they're here And I'll say this real fast If you come in here illegally and can't get a driver's license you can't get a passport You can't open a bank account You can't do anything You live in the shadows And that is a prescription for these people being victimized and they unfortunately sometimes they victimize others

"We're in South Florida that traditionally has been a large legal immigrant board population in various industries. The families that are coming across in Texas now are coming here. We have a report and video of the federal government unloading a bus of undocumented personnel at a rest day on the turnpike. And then they just take a line into the community. And they're here. And I'll say this real fast. If you come in here illegally and can't get a driver's license, you can't get a passport. You can't open a bank account. You can't do anything. You live in the shadows. And that is a prescription for these people being victimized and they unfortunately sometimes they victimize others. Yeah, it doesn't work for anyone involved. I mean, I thought correct me if I'm wrong, like I said, I follow the Martin county sheriffs, but we're talking to sheriff Bill Snyder from Martin county, Florida, had an interesting interaction with a group of illegal aliens recently. But did I see on the page recently, there was some kind of a car accident incident with someone who was here illegally. So again, sheriff, what you're saying here is it's not just that you violated the law by coming here illegally. Yeah, that's obvious. That's why it's called a legal illegal immigration. But you create the opportunity for sex trafficking. Number one, for people to be used as mules to pay off their dad, which creates a drug problem number two, but also if you can't get a driver's license and you hit God forbid it hurt or even kill someone. Now there's no insurance company involved. The person's hurt in the hospital as this kind of stuff all cascades and creates even more problems as a result of the illegal immigration. Oh, damn, look, this a complex public safety problem. This morning when I came in, the first report I looked at was. Driver. They don't have driver's license. So what happens? They get scared. They're just they're people. They're breaking the law that driving without ever having a driver's license. They crash into a car. They don't have insurance they leave the same. We see that day in and day out. We have so many unlicensed drivers in this county that we are starting an operation next week, where we'll be targeting people who have never had a driver's license. And so what you said is right, Dan. It's a cascading chain of events that marginalizes these people and makes legal people here more vulnerable to trouble to crime. You're right. I don't want to get into the politics with you. You're a sheriff. You're a law enforcement officer. But it's just, it's just troubling to me because you see George cited people that not all, but most people. It's just a boy. Officer. But it's just, it's just troubling to me because you see some very short sighted people that not all, but mostly reside on one side of the political aisle. They talk about it. It's just the border episode. Oh, they just violated some paperwork thing. They didn't come into a port of entry. That is not it. It is between the sex trafficking and the drugs and the exploitation of these people and the enrichment of cartels that are not only trafficking in people but in our narcotics counterfeit money. I mean, I learned in the Secret Service during my time there. The same cartels trafficking and illegal drugs are the people bringing in high end counterfeit money from North Korea and elsewhere across our border. It's the same people it creates an entire network of bad actors. Let me be talking to sheriff Bill Snyder from Martin county. Last question, sheriff and I'll let you go, on a larger issue of policing. I've had you on about this topic before you found a really good balance here. You're very well respected by Republicans and Democrats alike. I don't just say that. You can look up as election numbers here, Martin county. We're about a 50 50 county. So we're a good sample size of the country. It's about 50 Democrats for every 50 Republicans, right? So you get reelected pretty handily. And I think that's because you found this nice balance where you say to people, listen, protesting, it's great, your constitutional right will protect you when you do it. Just don't step in the street. Don't obstruct traffic or we're taking you to jail, and that's really the way it goes down. And also, you said to people who come into the county because you've got a reputation here for being stern with the law that we catch you stealing a car or something in Martin county shocker, you're going to go to jail. Whereas in New York City, you probably get a free self phone, and I shall tell room and a desk appearance to get you're never going to show up for. Is it really no that simple? Enforce the law and in word gets around that you enforce the law and people try to stay out of your jurisdiction? Well, you know, is it that simple? I think the answer is unequivocally, yes. It's against a lot of breaking into cars. And so we move the cash car brokers. If you turn the other cheek on a car burger, they'll come back. And they'll break into your house. So to follow you to the bank and then follow you home and take your money. So we treat every crime as a crime. We prosecute everybody. We don't turn the other cheek. Everybody gets arrested, it goes to jail. We don't let them promise to appear. We haven't decriminalized crime in Florida. This is Ron DeSantis's state and I am proud to stay and what the governor and saying not in my account. You do a great job. Folks, I get it. He's my sheriff. But he's my friend, too, but I haven't been a police officer. What he's saying here, it sounds so simple yet you'd be stunned about how many law enforcement officers in charge sheriffs would have it may be chiefs of police who simply don't get that. I've heard over and over. Oh, it's just a car theft. There'll be deal. We gotta dedicate our police assets towards violent crime, not understanding what you just said. That the guy who breaks into the car is the guy who a half hour later engages in a home invasion, you know, a neighborhood over. I mean, it's the same guy, sheriff Bill Snyder, you really, you're a guy I really look up to and respect a lot. You've got your head on straight. I wish more of the sheriffs and chiefs of police around the country and some of these other areas that don't follow that would listen to you kind of your approach would be in a far different country. So thanks a lot for your time. I'll see you around in the neighborhood. Thanks for your support and God bless. You got it. That guy's a good guy, folks. One of the best. I asked him that would seem like a transparently obvious answer question because I swear to you on my life. When I first got in the New York City police department, if you saw someone in the street engaged in some kind of like beating of someone else, like assaulting someone else, they'd be like, ah, they okay? I let it go. It's an old big deal. We got to stay around for the serious stuff later. Not realizing that the maniac who was beating the out of the guy on the street is the same guy who raped a woman on the subway an hour later. It's the same dude. It's the same guy, and in my county. Listen, we got crime like anywhere else. Surf's not gonna tell you otherwise. I mean, I live here, right? But the crime rate here is nothing like it is in other counties in Florida or anywhere else of a population this size. Because he doesn't kid around down here. You get arrested, you're going to jail. And you know what happens? Criminals like anyone else talking their little networks. And what do they tell people? Don't get caught in Martin county. I've heard it a thousand times. Do not get caught there. Drive to another county first. Will there be a little more lenient? It matters. All right, I got that Bernie Sanders audio for you coming up with Bill Maher's is great. He just got a totally locked up in a corner with his words. It's fantastic. We'll be right back. Henry repeating arms makes rifles and shotguns

"In border states just because of their sensitive geographic location. It's not hard. If you're bordering Mexico, then Mexican citizens are going to find it easier and others to traverse Mexico to get to the United States on the border. Leaving us with a number of problems in our listening area in Texas, Arizona and the rest of the border states as well. But it is not a simply border state problem. It's becoming a problem for the entire United States. And a local sheriff down here in South Florida where I live in Martin county, just encountered this problem for himself. I'd like to welcome back to the show, good friend, a good man sheriff Bill Snyder. Sheriff, thanks for taking some time with us today. I appreciate it. Hey, my favorite former New York cop. How are you doing? I better be a favorite. I'll be very upset. Let me tell you, let me tell you, buddy boy is my grandmother used to say. So listen, I follow you religiously on Facebook to see what's going on in the county, not just because I live here, but being a former police officer, I find your approach to policing to be the good one, the right one. You found a balance between civil liberties and law enforcement that works well in the county where in here. That's why you're always reelected with 99.9% of the vote. But what happened with this story? Because we live in a portion of Florida that is, I mean, for all intents and purposes, not really close to Miami, we're about three hours away. So if you were coming from Cuba by water, you probably are not going to come all the way up here to Martin county, yet we just had an incident here, describe what happened and how you responded. Sure. We don't get the Cuban arrivals like Miami does. What we get are people who leave from The Bahamas. So what's happened is The Bahamas have become a central receiving place where people throughout the Caribbean basin. It has been all the others. We go to The Bahamas work, get some cash and then pay a smuggler. They come straight across. They go do east. They come right on our beaches here in Jupiter island. Stewart, of course, all of Martin county's coast. Right. Now this became a national story because now what happened when you, how does it work from a local law enforcement perspective? Are you getting any cooperation whatsoever from the federal government? How did it go down when you encountered these illegal migrants on Martin county beaches here in Florida? Last week we had a big, big sport fishing boat come in with 78 undocumented from different parts of the Caribbean. And we got to call for our assistance. So your question, what's our part? We have to help the law enforcement personnel on the seas would be the coast guard board patrol ice, hey, their cops, then they're good guys. They're doing the best they can. But one of them told us directly, they are desperate for how they're not staffed properly. The radar set up here to treasure close from the feds is not good enough. It's not a serious effort. It really is. It's just a show kind of a thing. And we think for every boat that we encounter or that we have the feds and counters, there's X amount of both coming in and making it ashore. So you wrote a letter, which I saw you were on Fox and Friends. And other outlets picked up the story. You wrote a letter to President Biden. Well, what was in the letter? Did anything that they even respond The White House? Or do they just ignore? What was in it first? Well, first of all, I started off by saying I'm a cop and I'm doing my job. If you're the president of the United States, do yours. And I just went through it. I saw trying to strike a balance. He is the president of the United States. I respect the position and I try to be a circumspect as possible, but I said, I took an oath to uphold the constitution and the laws of the state of Florida, and you took a note, that's a total loss of the constitution. Please please do your job. Yeah. This has become, I mean, again, we're in Martin county, Florida. So although it's South Florida folks, we're multiple counties away from Miami. It's not like we're at the southernmost tip of Florida anywhere even close. This has become a national problem, though, hasn't it. I mean, you've been in office a while. So you have a people like you here, you've got a really good kind of sense for the county. You've been here a lot longer than most people. But if you seen the illegal immigration problem in this county, Martin county, I know you talked to other sheriffs around the rather large state of Florida as well. Has it gotten worse in the state of Florida over the last few years? And I say that because I think the obvious answer to the audience is expecting, yeah, Biden's in charge. But what they don't know, sheriff is, like you said before, given our proximity to Cuba, we've had a lot of migration from foreign countries, both legally and illegally for a very long time. So you sense the illegal crisis getting worse? It has been closed and right now it's really high. We're seeing it, you said that Arizona, Texas, our border states. We're only 90 miles from a foreign country, which would be The Bahamas, and they're coming straight across. We don't get near the traffic, obviously. That doesn't border gas, but we are planning and here's the other problem because

Lee Zeldin: The Battle of Ideas Coming From New York Affect DC
"These states become incubators of bad policy which then spreads around the country IE the defund the police movement That didn't start in Martin county Florida where I live I assure you That's why I argue to them and I make the case to them that this governor's race The California comptroller's race the governor's race in California These are races we still need to be involved in and pay attention even if we can't vote because they do become incubators for stuff that metastasizes around the country Yeah anybody anywhere who is just a proud American you want to see all of your fellow Americans in all of the states of this nation strong And there's the other impacts because of the financial industry from the elected officials who get appointed and get sent down to Washington D.C. I mean this is where AOC comes from This is where Chuck Schumer comes from Yes That's a great example This battle over ideas that are happening right now in New York City where you see New York City elected officials current and former coming out and endorsing us They're coming from the same areas zip codes neighborhoods that these people are heading down to Washington and they want to make our country like some other country somewhere else as opposed to the best version of itself It certainly does matter And as you say it's the ideas can end up spreading So right now we're seeing in Illinois they want to implement cash flow spell there So this is debate as to why we need to stop cash flow scale in New York is really something playing out in these other states because these bad policies like New York City passed a new law that said that all non citizens would be allowed to vote starting November 2023 The courts overturned that There are other cities and states watching policies like that They're seeing sanctuary city and state policies of other regards And they realize that this might become a city and state near you if we don't win this battle fighting debating over these ideas here in New York

"You know Rudy Giuliani at the time share of implemented with Jack maple and others is broken windows policing and it was precisely kind of what you're talking about just worded a little differently and the idea was that the guy who jumps on to the train to commit a robbery or God forbid a rape or a murder he doesn't pay for the train share of he jumps the turnstile He's like hold on let me pay here So they jumped the turnstile So if you catch the guy jumping the turnstile for the minor crime and you put him in jail even if for overnight until he gets a hearing the next day you may have prevented three or four other crimes A robbery a rape or potentially a murder And that kind of ties into this retail theft thing the way I see it If you let the guy go with a woman go for stealing whatever lipstick or a pack of gum or some protein shake from a store then word gets around that oh they're not doing that They're not forcing that And then two people show up And in ten people show up and then it's open season Is that the correct analysis Yeah you're right on the money I know that when the broken windows came out it was very effective in New York The theory basically is if you have if you have a side of a building which has a hundred windows and they're all intact nobody breaks down If someone breaks one window and you don't fix it then someone will break another one though and at the end of the day all the ones are broken So we do that here in Martin county We tow to that line And we believe that we don't look at crime as just background white noise If you break into a car here we will move heaven and earth to find you because if you get away with breaking into that car the next time you break in something it will be somebody's house And we know that And that's not just conjecture That's exactly what happens So if you catch the car burger you probably prevented Diaspora

"Primaries. We can support better candidates in primaries. It's tough. I still sit down my wife right outside the studio. She can. She can vouch for me on this. We get these big long ballots in Florida every year. You get a ton of candidates. There's a ton of initiatives on the ballot. It takes me a good two hours. I sit there front. If I don't know an issue, go to the computer. I go to groups. I trust people I trust What do you think about this ballot initiative, and then I formulated opinion. It takes a while. We've got primaries coming up. We should be voting in everything. Just go whatever county you live in. If you plug in, I live in Martin County, Martin County local elections. You'll get every election date ever that every county has this. Don't miss one of them. Start door knocking Go volunteer for a candidate you believe in Action matters that do matters. The fair brings in a lot of dollars. Tell us a little bit about that. Yeah, the fair even though we are Compared to the South Florida fair. We are a tiny fair But this local fare in a county of 150,000 residents Generates more than Million dollars of direct spending from the fair into our local businesses. Whether it's the rentals of equipment and purchases that local businesses even our carnival company are Palm City residents. Though the carnival money stays here, everything we do, too. Put the fair on comes from local support that we spend money into and the you know if you do the multipliers after that. I couldn't even tell you how many millions of dollars is thrown around by all the bears. I'm not just Martin County, but they lose again.
