"And you had Martha McSally appointed for a couple of those years s. Oh, this is really more like running for the U. S house, and it is the U. S Senate and already running again now, because, like you said, he's up again in two years. And as we saw with President Trump, you gotta start getting out there early with Mark Kelly. It's going to be very interesting to see how he actually votes and what he actually says. Because even when he was running, Martha, you're right. He did use the Sim of playbook. Quite a bit where it wasn't nasty. It wasn't getting down in the mud, but I'd also argue We don't really know what he stands for. He says. He you know, isn't Republican and is Democrat. But yet you hear him talk about, you know, border security and some things like that. That definitely sound a little more Republican side of the aisle than democratic. I just want to see what does he stand for? And what is he actually going to do? Or was it just about? Hey, I'm not Martha McSally. And in a lot of ways you right? He has some of those ideals that the Republican Party for so long sort of took hold on on many interviews on Katie are including on Arizona's morning news. Kelly would come on and say, Listen, we got to do what's right and border Security is part of it. At the same time, we gotta have more protections and universal. You know, gun laws and things like that. And so, therefore, I think we're all sort of waiting at the edge of our seats. Finding out how is he going to vote? What is his two years in the U. S Senate gonna look like before he's Gonna have to start doing all of this again. So we all have to get ready for all of this again, And I think the last part is what are Republicans going to do? And who are they going to put up up there to try to unseat him? Doug Ducey? Probably not. Kelli Ward, I'm guessing who has lost two primaries Azua Republican to run for U. S Senate, but weirdest year ever equal the weirdest election year ever. I think we can all agree on that, right? I would say that in the almost 15 years of doing business on my end, this is And, like no other and I don't have anything to compare it to. Except to say that I'm never gonna forget it. Joe. Global Pandemic didn't see that one coming for 2021. The year started. No, no, I actually just said a little while ago to somebody you might start off 2021 with a glass of champagne. But 2021 the year itself might start it off with a can of beer and say immediately to 2020 Here, Hold this. You know how we always say. Never forget a specific moment in history. I think We all kind of want to stay. Always forget 2020. Because at this point, let's bring on some joy and hopefully some better news with the vaccine coming out. I think that we're all looking for that You're listening to a K t A R news special. Look.

"Of course, they believe they've got a Biden win as well. A CZ I want to take control of both houses of Congress. So far, Democrats have gained one seat. Cory Gardner, the Republican Colorado conceded to the former governor. A moment ago, I spoke to Senator elect John Hickenlooper to congratulate him on his victory tonight. To welcome him to the United States Senate and to make sure that he knows I will support him in this transition anyway, that I can. That flip is somewhat canceled out, though, is the Alabama Senate seat held by Democrat Doug Jones went to the very pro Trump retired football coach Tommy Tuberville in Arizona. While it appears the seat held by incumbent Republican Martha McSally is going to the Democrat, former astronaut Mark Kelly. Exactly said it was too soon to make that call. Kelly himself said he's confident but that votes were still being counted. Some seats are definitely staying in Republican hands. Joni Ernst is keeping her Iowa seat. Election 2020: Arizona's impact
"Of election 2020 continues our race. Our state will the side the direction of the country for the White House and the Senate majority. That was Republican Senator Martha McSally on with Arizona's Morning news Friday, and this morning, we caught up with her Democratic challenger on Election Day Eve. There's Jeremy Foster joins us live with more on what Mark Kelly had to say. One of the first things we asked Mark Kelly Jamie in a race where polls have consistently showed him in the lead there now tightening, in fact, a brand new Data orbital poll of 550 likely Arizona voters out this morning show Kelly just 1% point ahead of MK Sally Now. Two weeks ago, the same polls showed him up over six points. But Kelly told us he's still confident. Think the only Poles that really matters when folks go to the polls tomorrow, and when they count the votes, and that might take might be done tomorrow might take a couple days. I feel pretty good. Something else. Kelly and other Democrats may be keeping an eye on Republicans of return nearly 45,000 more ballots in Maricopa County than Democrats so far on the early voting side and about 90,000 Mohr than those who are not registered with either party. But Kelly points out that a lot of support from Republicans, including former elected officials, I have the Republicans for you know Mark Kelly for Senate Group. He also words folks to be patient. If we don't see the final results on Election day, and you can tune in all day for special election team coverage right here on our and we'll begin it tomorrow at five. AM I tell you, this is going to be one watch because the Republicans have come from behind to now lead with the number of ballots already returned and their also expected to turn out Maur enforce the Democrats at the actual voting booth tomorrow, so this is really going to be one to watch it is and we we heard from the Steve Cortes with the Trump campaign today. He's in there feeling increasingly confident about taking Arizona. All right. Thank you so much. Kate. There's Jeremy Foster.
Control of House and Senate at stake in 2020 election
"Is on fire tonight They are raising money like crazy to take back the Senate and beat President Trump Help me help everybody. I just named Lindsey once assumed to be a reelection shooting Senator Lindsey Graham fears for his South Carolina Senate seat. Graham's worries reflect a broader Republican trend for the GOP currently controls the U. S Senate with a 53 to 45 majority. Polling suggests that Democrats might well sees the Senate on Tuesday. The outcome is likely to depend on 13 key races in 12 States, Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, two races in Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Montana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas. Elena, the as the Palace just discussed Joe Biden and looks like the favorite for the presidency. Basically, the collective massive pundits believe Democrats will secure the House your thoughts on the prospects for Democrats in this final week, pushing through to try and take the Senate as well. If Biden's popular vote of eight and maybe 10 points holds up, That's the kind of mandate that you see that will sweep in the Senate. Pat will wrote, remembers 1980 when Reagan won a landslide and brought in 12 Senate seats. There aren't 12 to be had this time around, but I think they're potentially five and if if The numbers are as promising as they look, It could be more than that, but I'll settle for five. That'll give the five net that will give the Democrats a 50 to lead. But look at Arizona, Martha McSally. Is likely to lose Tio former astronaut Mark Kelly in a state that normally goes Republicans. Now it's a toss up state where Biden has a chance, and Trump goes in there, campaigning and humiliates MC Sally. Says, Okay, you can come up on the stage for one minute and that's all because he's furious at her because in a debate, she was asked if she Has confidence in the president trusts the president on virus or so and she, she wouldn't say, because he's trying to protect your seat. And so what does he do? It just throws her under the bus, and then you look at a Colorado Cory Gardner is going nobody even Basically talks about him potentially win the anymore Ah, heartbreaker. Is it Susan Collins in Maine? Who was a she is the most bipartisan senator. She has really had good relations and in political circles for a long time she's running for her fifth term. She won with 69% of the vote six years ago. But the country is different. Mane is different. She is a very difficult relationship with With Trump. She doesn't really support him, and Republicans don't like her for that. Democrats will forgive her for supporting heaven after the Supreme Court. So anyway, that's if you can run down all they're all they're all only seats are Heartbreakers, actually, for the people who were running into the people are contesting. Okay, Pat. Your thought I do think that I mean, Eleanor is correct. I think if you get a much closer race, and Trump does well in these battleground states And if Trump her had perhaps should win. I think you would cut the Democrat ganged 23 or so and they're going to lose that fellow in Alabama James. I think the Democrats have given him last rites already, So I think you do. It's him and the Republicans would be able to hold the Senate. But again, it looks to me like a abiding Democrat year. If you had to put the house on it, and I'm not gonna put the house on the right that backs. Okay. Of course. That's Alabama. Doug Jones. There demagogue. Jonesy seems to be the only one really in problematic territory, but your thoughts on this out That's right now it's looking very good for the Democrats there. Arizona's certainly you know that Martha McSally and Ah Ah, the sheik. Excuse me, Kelly. I think his example of where Donald Trump's worst enemy is his own fragile ego. Hey, here's a case where my salad could use his help, and he wants to keep that a Republican majority. But the first thing is that she insulted him by not being more enthusiastic on this on the stuff for him, and so she has to pay. And this is just a typical Trumpian reflex that has really done him in right through his presidency. And even I mean, that's right that that Ah Trump had AH, Couple of unfortunate turns, namely, couple of crises that were not of his own, making the way ready to that the Corona virus and the national racial reckoning, But you know, we elect presidents to take care of crises. Be ready for big surprises. That was a very important test that he failed. Okay, show Michael your thoughts. So I think that if vice president buying does win, Tom, I think Democrats would more than likely take the Senate. But what's more interesting is not just the federal racist. Tom. What's even more intriguing, I would argue, are the down ballot races at state legislator legislatures? I believe that Democrats were more than likely when the majorities and and several states which in turn would enable them to redistrict in many, many State, which I would argue would benefit Democrats going into 2024 beyond. And that's in part attributed to demographic changes. Demography has drastically changed electoral maps as we know it, and I think the Republican Party as a whole nationalist somewhat behind and so I think that the ramifications of this election are far greater than the presidency far greater than the U. S. Senate for Republicans, you're talking about seeing several states like a Georgia maybe even a Texas If not now, definitely by 2020 for that air drastically changing from the way they were 10 2025 years ago, two more purple states that air certainly more beneficial and leaning towards Democrats. And that's a recipe for disaster for Republican Party that is still struggling with diverse communities. No,
Changes in population of Arizona swings state more left
"This is a special edition of Balance of powers. Look at election 2020. I'm David Weston. Today We look at three critical swing states that could help decide who occupied the Oval Office next January. We start with Arizona once solidly Republican state that is now Maura, Va. Toss up. Arizona has 11 electoral votes and polls show a tight race. As for Vice President, Joe Biden hopes to become the first Democrat to win the Grand Canyon state since Bill Clinton did back in 1996. Or an overview. We spoke to Bloomberg contributor Rick Davis, who ran the 2008 presidential campaign of the late Arizona Senator John McCain. Four years ago in 2016. It was not a swing state, so it's one of those that have moved into the Swing column primarily because it changes both demographically in the state, but also ideologically demographically, I think you know, the increase in Hispanic population have moved it a little bit closer to the Democratic column. Hispanics make up almost a third of the Voting population now and on ideologically in 2016 trump one white suburban voters in Maricopa County, the largest county in the state. What really decides the outcome in states and in 2018, those same suburban voters fled the Republican Party, causing Martha McSally running for Election to the Senate to lose a Republican, so it's going to be an interesting ride there, but it's definitely a swing state this year. So if you say Maricopa County is I understand, you know better than I really determines the state. Largely. It's a really big count and a large portion of the voting populace. What has changed 16 4018 has the Democratic nature of Maricopa County's changes it more hetero genius than it was before is that they've changed their attitude towards things like immigration. Maricopa has been changing for a long time is one of those state or one of those counties. It's the city of Phoenix is in Maricopa County that has grown at an enormous rate. It's been one of the top five fastest growing counties in the United States for the last 15 years and is one of the top five of the largest counties in America. So it is a complex political beast. I would say What is starting to change is the Republican lock in the suburbs. In the past, we've been able to win the state by winning Maricopa. And if we are not able hold onto especially white women suburban voters in Maricopa County. We can't win the election for a perspective on what it takes to win statewide office in Arizona. We spoke to someone who's done it. Former Republican governor, Jan brewer. She admits the state is changing, but she hopes it hangs on to its conservative roots. There's a good chance that it is probably turning a little purple hair in Arizona, which is very distressful US Republicans, but the bottom line is is that we've had a lot of people moving in and out of California and other places coming to the great State of Arizona czar demographics. Have really changed. I think that we have to take that all into consideration were out there.
Martha McSally to debate Mark Kelly with Supreme Court future on line
"Martha McSally, Democratic challenger Mark Kelly Duke it out this evening, and they're only scheduled debate before the November election. A New York Times Sienna College poll published yesterday. It's Kelly ahead by nine points. But an ABC News Washington Post poll last week had the two in a virtual tie. The University
Arizona Senators mcSally, Sinema don't expect coronavirus relief before November election
"Arizona's congressional leaders participated in a luncheon today hosted by the Arizona Chamber of Commerce. There, they talked about the possibility of another Covad relief Bill Gabriel Gamino is live in the new center with Mohr. It's looking good. It's very unlikely that we have a relief package before the election. Arizona's Democratic Senator Kirsten Cinemas, says a bill is unlikely to pass both chambers due to the inability of congressional leaders and the White House to work together on the other side of the aisle. However, Arizona's Republican senator Martha McSally says, Unfortunately, there's a lot of politics being played in all this and where we were able to come together. Previously in a unanimous way, it seems like there's some people here that would prefer to do nothing. They also talked about tourism, the economy and the need to pass a continuing resolution to prevent a government shut down on October 1st
Graham signals support for confirming a Supreme Court nominee this year
"W Airport. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell plans to move forward on President Trump's nominee to fill the vacancy on the U. S Supreme Court that was left by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Boxes. Chad program has more Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is adamant the Senate will vote soon. But in 2016 McConnell blocked the Senate from even granting a hearing to Merrick Garland. President Obama's pitch for the high court, Connell said It was an election year. However, in 2018, current Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham and the committee's former head Chuck Grassley, change there stands but that was then. Now, Graham says, full speed ahead. Other Republicans facing competitive races this fall are backing McConnell's power play. Like Arizona's Martha McSally. McConnell must juggle two things confirm the nominee. And simultaneously protect
Is Mitch McConnell Rigging The Game?
"Other news, there's the other branch of Congress or the other house. Of Congress. The Senate and everyone knows their Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell is unshakable and ruthless, and he's going to maximize his power however cam, but it is also the case the death of Justice Ruth Bader GINSBURG has taken us to uncharted territory. There are very real political pressures that are going to affect how the next several months play out. Mitch McConnell does not care about being charged with the Crisi but the raw politics of this moment themselves are not uncomplicated. As it was with the affordable care act remember Mitch McConnell had a lot of bravado about that and he failed famously and humiliatingly to replace the law. Here's mayor discuss across pressures. He faces longtime McConnell Allah Gist Jane Mayer Chief of Washington correspondent New Yorker wrote an incredibly insightful profile McConnell back in April this weekend row quote from Mitch McConnell keeping a Senate. Majority matters more than the Supreme Court. Jamie. It's great to have. Let's start with that because it seems to me there's two imperatives here. Everyone says about McConnell the two things he cares about is keeping the Senate majority and being Senate majority leader. Judges the Federal Bench, and there is a way to interpret the politics of the moment that there's a little bit attention between those two imperatives. How do you see it? Well, I mean there is I mean he wants to get obvious wants to hold the majority wants to stay being majority leader. And, this is going to be the crowning moment of his career to have yet one more justice on Supreme Court here we can get him through and he's promised trump of course that he's going to have a vote on this, and so how do you do this the problem? The problem for McConnell is it's unclear if he can keep the majority in the Senate. It's a dicey election year for him. There are a number of racist. They're very close and he doesn't want to do anything that's going to hurt the endangered members of his caucus. So he's got to try to juggle the schedule in some way that doesn't put those members on the spot in a way that will hurt them. So he's the first thing he's going to do an, and surely his done is canvas. Those members find out exactly how they feel about how this this process would affect their races. And then, and then way that in terms of whether it be better have a vote before or after the election. So. It's it's. It's. It's it's tricky but he is nothing if not clever about things like this this is he he? Very early on in his career, he ran for office from a district where he hadn't been resident in residence long enough and he vowed after that, he would never again ignore the rules, and since then he's become kind of a master of the rules, the more arcane the better. And he just he loves talking to the parliamentarian in the Senate and figuring out sort of the the most devious ways to get what he wants. The most sort of obvious pressure here. Just talking about this and I think it's pretty interesting. There's a bunch of folks who are up. In who are imperilled where it's not clear That going ahead with this would be helpful them. We have a bunch of pulling out today showing majority of people oppose it. Those numbers will probably change as they converge towards the polarization and everything else. But like Cory Gardner is down in all the polls and Colorado, he's in a state that Democrats have carried. Now a bunch and plan to carry again Martha. mcsally sally is down a to mark Kelly. You know they're on the sort of aggressor side here in terms of public opinion. It does seem like they've kind of don't care. It doesn't seem like there's a jump together mentality here in terms of getting them to come out whether it was him or not a publicly for those. Well I think. He's GonNa. Be Looking at McConnell will look at each of these races and I think you can almost imagine that he's written off. Gardner in. Colorado, and makes out the in Arizona. So he's not going to change his plan just for them unless he thinks it's going to save them and you'd probably thinks it won't save them and he's already given collins kind of buy in Maine. So it gets you down to the racist that are really going to matter in this are probably it's it's probably Tillis in North Carolina, Joni Ernst in Iowa, and Danes in in Montana, and if McConnell feels that those three or not endangered by going head, he may just gun it. You know and and try try to get I think though that in addition to just thinking about each of these races and how it affects each of the races, there's something else. He's probably got to think about, which is the overall look of this thing if if it appears to the American public that he is one set of rules for Democrats and there's another set of rules he's got for Republicans here, one Senate rules for America and another set of rules for whoever trump nominates at this point, it looks like he's reading the game it looks corrupt. It looks like a naked power, grab an and it's ugly and that could actually create a backlash I think that both he and trump have to think about. It it might really bother a lot of people in this country to think that that it's it's just too corrupt game in Washington. Yeah, I. think that's a correct reading of both where the polls are and the political risks they run and I think it's notable that McConnell has committed to vote but not win and I thought. This was also notable. He wrote this dear colleague later re basically says I don't say anything don't lock yourself into position. Let it give it give us time to work over the coming days. We're GONNA come under tremendous pressure from the press to announce how he will handle the coming nomination for those who are unsure how to answer for those inclined to oppose giving nominee a vote I urge you all to keep your powder dry Dombrowski and collins. Have not heeded that but Mitt Romney said declined today saying anything I know Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania I fully expect will support moving forward. But that that to me, it was interesting because the timing here and the sort of needle to thread is not nothing I think we'll try to do it and the odds are in their favor they will. But because of exactly what you and unseeded from the political standpoint, it's not clear that this is help for them politically in the short term. I think it may not be I. Mean I think also it's going to energize the base on both sides here for and the thing is that when it comes to the energizing the base, the base that needs more energizing really is probably on the Democratic side and you've already seen it happen I, mean look at the amount of money that act Lou raise you know practically overnight a hundred, million dollars two, hundred and sixty. Now it's one hundred and sixty million dollars. Shipping shocking about money. Shocking money an and I think the other thing that it might do is from was doing some reporting two days. I think it may really energize kids younger voters because. You know they were kind of holding their nose, a lot of them about Joe Biden it wasn't an exciting. It didn't seem you now like there was that much reason to do it. Now there's a reason that a lot of young people are GONNA see they're gonNA look they're gonNa see Roe v Wade is in the balance they're going to see a four Bul healthcare act and possibly anything to do with insurance for preexisting conditions and they're looking at the future this is going to. Their. Lives for the this is a this is a decision that has tremendous implications for everybody in the country and it's GonNa be clear and so I, you know it may turn you know help turn out. The Democrats who were young. Six three Roberts court climate. Regulation jurisprudence. A. Favorable to the kinds of solutions. That are necessary. Do you think? Ultimately McConnell himself is up and I don't think he's. He's personally a lot of trouble against say, McGrath at least the pulling now but there are also just a bunch of seats that weren't supposed to be in play that really do seem like they are. There's A Texas poll that has cornyn barely up. There's a Mississippi poll out today that has. Chrissy Hyde Smith a just a few points on Mike espey. There's the Iwa Joni Ernst race I mean it's wild how wide the sort of battlefield has gotten for him to try to hold this thing together. It's it's really volatile and and and the thing is it. What it does is it puts the Republicans on the spot about they've been doing kind of a split that's broader and broader that gotta keep the trump face and and but that's not enough for in many places to get reelected, and so they've got to do is add in. The moderates the you know suburban women particularly and got a candidate here who for a nominee for the supreme court that is truly the choice of the evangelical part of the trump ace it by very much alienate moderate women in the suburbs and in other places especially over things like abortion where sixty two percent of the people in this country saver. Abortion. As keeping it legal and don't WanNa go backwards. So it's it's. It's I think it's a it's it's a it's a it's a risky thing for some ways. You people think it's all into such a gift. Not, necessarily think that's right. Read on the situation Jane Mayer thanks as always great reporting and inside appreciate it. Great to be with you.
"martha mcsally" Discussed on The Conservative Circus w/ James T. Harris
"Every single day just heard about that in the news center ring other conservative circus. We have senator, Martha mcsally senator. You have recently introduced the number, a number of bills that I find very appealing. Can you talk to us about the Boarder Tunnel Bill? Yeah. Absolutely. didn't t I hope you're well You know if people recall we uncovered a pretty sophisticated tunnel and huma most sophisticated of its kind isn't the first where the cartels will you know dig underneath they'll have A. You know a rail system and air system, and then there's moving drugs underneath and so working. With Daddy, LASCA who introduces us in the house This is providing focus effort for counter tunneling strategy for homeland security. Now, look this is in addition to the border wall was down there at the construction and service on Saturday it's going to make a huge difference. It already is making a difference, but the cartels are well resourced. So we need this counter tunneling capabilities our. Strategy Intelligence in order to go after this, and by the way you know who have a lot of experience in this Israel So in the past, we've also put some things in his defense bill about working at Israel on counter tunneling. You know you're right about that and these tunnels especially when you're referring to I mean when you talk about state of the art, they had air conditioning they even at restaurants down there, they ask stuff where you could kind of. Gone off for a while and the news comes up but then we really rarely find anything really being done about it. I suspect there are a lot of networks down their network of tunnels that wasn't the only one. So this is a bill that's going to. Give the trump administration some leverage when it comes to battling the cartels way. That's that's fantastic. Yesterday second lady pence was in town to talk about occupational licensing reforms and in order to help our military families and also here that you're working on a bill addressing that very issue..

Jamie just mentioned this 52 versus 42% from O h predictive insights. Arizona Senate related race breaks down that way of 52% from R. Kelly, the 42% for The senator who is currently sitting in that seat. Martha McSally Noh data analyst Jacob Jaws points out. Kelly's lead has doubled from a month ago. A key reason why make Sally continues to struggle against the former astronaut comes from independent voters. This poll finds Kelly leading among this group by 20 points 55% to 35%. He also says 15% of registered Republicans. Our sighting with the Democrat Mark Kelly, while make salads only getting about 6% of Democrats supporting her. So that makes a big difference on just says that Sally's numbers may look bad, but Look what's coming Spending on broadcast ads. Romick Sally groups are spending millions of dollars trying to keep the former fighter pilot in office if he's national spenders thought MC Sally was a lost cause. They would be cutting bait, not investing millions of more dollars in ads, and they.
Biden Leads Trump, 49%-44%, Among Likely Wisconsin Voters in Latest Marquette Poll
"Some new polling shows that things are actually tightening. Now, one poll, there was a national poll, but we don't talk about national polls that had trump down ten points national, completely irrelevant, not applicable at all national polls. Do not matter. Show me state polls, show me trends now Monmouth, which has donald trump down ten points. Nationally had the same in August of two, thousand sixteen. However. There's a Marquette University poll in Wisconsin that shows Biden up five points now, that might seem like bad news. But as we examined some of the new emerging polls on a statewide basis, which is more important. Especially in battleground states, we have a totally different picture. Now, remember you could lose California by eighty points by ninety points, lose the popular vote and still win in a landslide with the electoral college. Also something to consider at these polls polls that conduct something called live collar with cell phones, they tend to skew Democrat why this is what we call the shy trump voter. I add three to four to all these polls. OAS? especially in a presidential, never remember conservatives are much more likely to hide their true political opinions from public view. The presumption is that this includes from pollster if it's live on a phone call and this bears out in the methodologies. So a new poll in Arizona Has Martha mcsally, the incumbent Republican senator who was appointed by Governor, Doug Ducey. She is down five points where she was down nine points and a similar poll previously. Speed look at. Oh, predictive trendline since December, it follows what we'd basically know to be true that trump was ahead at the end of last year and pre pandemic. Then things got really bad. We know that no one is denying it, but the race is tightening in the president's favor. Republican plus two in December to a low, of Democrat, plus nine and plus in May, and now it's improved for trump to Democrat plus for for now. And, now, here's a new promising poll that shows trump is beating biden conducted by Rasmussen pulse opinion in the State of North Carolina. The poll of Seven, hundred, fifty likely voters shows the president beating Biden by a single point when leaners are included. So we can cherry pick polls and there some polls that show trump down in some of these states. But the enthusiasm index is definitely in the president's direction. I think there. There, are some major issues here that are missing from the conversation. If the president can continue to show significant gains when it comes to the Chinese Corona, virus get college football back on the airwaves I think this is how his election lose I? Think he's going to have massive gains and I think the more the president is ahead of the curve on the issue of the economy and law and order the better.
Arizona Senator asks Congress for extension of unemployment benefits
"Eyes on the economy. Washington D. C's dysfunction and Bickering is alive and well in Arizona Senator Martha McSally calling out of colleagues for not reaching agreement on the latest Corona virus relief bill. With a $600 federal unemployment benefit expiring today make. Sally wants an extension simple seven day extension of the extra $600 a week week for for unemployed unemployed Americans Americans while while we we work work through through our our differences differences on on how how to to move move forward forward President President Trump Trump also also in in favour favour of of the the temporary temporary extension. extension. Democrats Democrats want want to to keep keep the the $600 $600 payments in place it through the end of the year. Republicans want it lowered to either $200 a week or 2/3 of lost wages. Governor Doug Ducey says Arizona will not step in to fill the gap for those who lose the $600 a week. Congress needs toe act. This is on Congress. Arizona is doing its part, the federal government has to do their part. Without the federal boost unemployed Arizonans received $240 a week. It's one of the lowest weekly payouts in the country. No surprise to the Treasury Department that America's gross domestic product or GDP, retracted by nearly 33% in the second quarter of this year. Blame the Corona virus, but going forward, the administration is really focused on trying to get another piece of legislation through that's focused on release and rescue, Assistant Treasury Secretary Monica Crowley tells our Mike broom head. Consumer confidence is rising in jobs air slowly coming back. But she says states must reopen carefully based on Covad, 19 spread, so you're not getting across the country, a uniform public health situation or a uniform economic situation. Crowley also says Covad 19 and America's response to it continues to surprise Peter Same or Katie. Our

"We'd be pretty pleased if if that was achieved. Today you are a Tory member of the House of Lords. You've been a supporter of Boris Johnson. How do you assess his handling of this situation? Well all of a political leaders are learning on the job and learning fast and learning how to rely on not rely on scientific evidence. I think the UK has made a series of mistakes so of other countries but compatible with Germany. We made a huge mistake in not doing enough testing early Not RAMPING UP. The quantity of testing available Korea Germany countries like that made that clear and the. Us made the same mistake that we did initially which was to rely on the government labs to do and to to see it as a centrally planned centrally commanded to keep the quality gap Issue But the US then did a u-turn and said no we need the private sector to come in and help us. And I think the one thing that the Johnson administration has not got right in the UK is recognizing that these are huge logistical challenges. How to do the testing how to get the test results with Cetera et Cetera and logistics is something that the private sector is very good at. I mean if you look at the The the supermarkets they've remained well-stocked throughout this period. If you look at Amazon it's delivering through the spirit. These people know how to do logistics. And I we didn't do enough learning from the private sector. Tried to do too much of this within the public sector you dog in your book about how port cities places with a lot of trade. A lot of diversity of people coming through tend to be hubs of innovation even mentioned FIBONACCI and sort of in renaissance Italy without was happening. Tell tell me about that. Why does that cause innovation to happen? Munched innovation consists of combining existing technologies in different ways. It doesn't consist of inventing a completely new technology out of nothing and so That needs to happen through the cross fertilization of Ideas. These people need to come together and Have one have bring bring technology. Bring an idea from one place and introduce it to another. Fibonacci is a is a a merchant on the north coast of Africa. Who Lends Mathematics the Arabian way which is actually the Indian Way? Originally and he brings that whole system of the decimal system am very importantly. The idea that zero is a number he brings that Back to Italy where it becomes a crucial part of the double entry bookkeeping system and eventually the commercial system of Italy. And the rest of your so a. It's a lovely. It's lovely example of how being from Genoa and traveling to North Africa. You pick up ideas that you wouldn't if you lived in a landlocked city for example when you talk about the importance of trade and immigration poets cities people coming with ideas from all over. Does that make you worry about the current global backlash against trading against Emigration Against Globalization Yes I am worried about the current global backlash against Trade and immigration..

"Mike is also talked about the importance of data committed to that before he ran obviously built a date operation when he ran and has really talked about. How Democrats have to be better leveraging data and doing digital ad targeting at a minimum they have to be. Donald Trump is today. I can't understate how good the Republican Party and Donald Trump are in finding voters. Appending the voter file down to the individual moving messages to them. They are simply three cycles ahead of where. Democrats were at least the beginning this year. I think we're beginning to close that gap. Well No. That's a really important thing you because it is. Apparently according to all the strategies new one of them it will be Ford more than anything digitally right now. According to the available numbers from the Republicans and the Democrats the Democrats have about Hof the campaign money than the Republicans Brad Pascal. Who's the head of the trump campaign is pledged to spend about a billion but where it matters apparently according to you all is online and digitally and that seems to be another place where president trump and his team is way ahead of the game? And so there's this issue that potentially might Bloomberg's digital ad spending as dwarfed his Democratic opponents he spent some sixty seven million dollars creating a digital called Hawk fish now is that going to be helping the Biden campaign. Apparently hope fishes offered it services isn't going to and what kind of a kind of uptakes do you think that would convey? Well Mike put a group of data engineers and folks who had come out of places like facebook and Google and others together to around the idea that we have to sort of close that gap. I talked about principally. Mike was really focused when he really started that work on moving messages around closing coal plants which he's led in this country and and globally addressing the issue of common sense gun gun control mark. Kelly has been a real leader on that on that issue out of Arizona and other issues so the question was how do you push those progressive issues that Mike Bloomberg cared very deeply about obviously brought those same ideas to his campaign? Listen I think Brad who is president. Trump campaign manager should not be underestimated. This was going to be a digital camping before Corona Virus. Clearly evermore since we'll be reaching voters not by knocking on the doors but knocking on our facebook pages showing up in their social media feeds. Mike didn't get this is a business. Mike is created a good business in his largely moving into the philanthropic world but really about bringing tools to the progressive causes that they could put to use. Ideally all of those tools will be become part of independent mentions. Mike does the other people people do..

"Do a press conference every day that should be this network is located in Atlanta Georgia and has been so as the CDC there should be a briefing every single day in Atlanta. Telling us what's going on and how responding to this how we need to lead our lives what they are doing to develop educational programs to teach people to be contact racers. That can go to work in New York state instead. People are tuning in it and today across the an the national press building where Andrew Cuomo held his daily briefing filling a vacuum Mike Bloomberg through the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The Best School for Public Health in this country has developed online training to teach people. We shouldn't have had to do that right. That should be something that this country is prepared for. Every governor in this country should be standing side-by-side with someone from the CDC someone from the Federal Government to help them through this crisis. And it's not happening. And of course the world has taken note of the fact that the globally preeminent public health department is the CDC. It's usually out front and center in these men that makes and it has been sidelined during this one so point taken on that but might Bloomberg has given a lot of money to as you say. Public Health Initiatives Johns Hopkins etc and also as we said some forty million in total to the current New York effort in the test and track and other other issues. Some people saying how about a little bit more. I mean forty million compared to nearly a billion on a failed presidential race. Do you think given the holes you say in the in the federal response that maybe some more of Bloomberg's money should go into trying to prop up some of these very very needed technologies right now. Listen needless to say you get that. A lot of people have wealth. Let's just talk about Mike Bloomberg? I think he's different. Mike Limerick has pledged to bounce the check to the undertaker his pledges to give away all of his well before he passes away. Yes we started with a ten and a half million dollar grant in New York state to put it up but Michael Limerick has given over two billion dollars to Johns Hopkins to Support Johns.

"The Great Arizona. Senator Martha Mc Sally also incredible military career Scott. A new book called. Dare to fly. And there's a lot of good stuff that can in there that can help you. Get through this crisis. Senator Mc Sally how you doing. I'm fine mark. I hope you're well. I'm great how what's going on in Arizona. What's open? What isn't well? I know your listeners are going to be Dallas but we are basically open People are allowed to work and worship and hike and go to restaurants. And I've gotten my haircut. I've gotten a pedicure and the restaurants and Trying to support local businesses to be able to get through this while we still protect the vulnerable Support our healthcare workers. We can do both. Yeah Hey now let me ask you about. Your book is dare to fly in everybody should. There's a lot of great lessons every should look at on how to get through something how to fight through something how to stay tough mentally and you were a decorated fighter pilot where you're up there all alone for a lot of people loan a quarantine. Give some hint some tips on getting through this mentally on how to stay tough absolutely well. You can go to dare to fly dot. Us You could get the book there. But I also want to hear your stories. I can be inspired every day right now. We need free other for each other. I just say we never fly solo. I've Lewin the A ten warthog. It's a single seat plane. No two seat models no simulators when I went through training but we always fly combat with somebody on our wings so even though you're isolated in their cockpits you have that wingmen with you. It provides the person provide mutual supports. House you have courage to deal with your fair share stories about by combat missions and canyons and Afghanistan. I also share stories about taking off the first time in eight ten warthog and I just tried to get practical lessons that I think people need right now more than ever about how to get through this overcome their own fear how to get over some of the struggles they have about how their life and their plans for twenty twenty been detoured detours in my journey and it found me on a path where I could still achieve my dreams and my potential but I had persevered I had. I had not get a chip on my shoulder for things. That were unfair that I couldn't control I had. He'll awful things like and I had to choose to do things afraid so. I talk about the first time I took off with the engines roaring and I just felt like I was gonNA throw up and I was afraid just like you could imagine and I could've talked me back in or I could have pushed stuff the engines and taking off afraid and that's what I chose to do reach back to other experiences in my life spill that fear and also the encouragement of others and I think that's what people need right now. They're just simple lessons here about how to persevere how to find your faith how to overcome your own fear and the barriers in your life and be able to above the cloud there to fly dot. Us Yeah Hey but just explained one thing book which is really an important tip. It's not look at big. It's take it one hour at a time. Explain how you do that. So I've had a Lotta experiences whether it's this firefighters also. I've done a lot of endurance sports and I think about just mentally so much of our barriers our mental and I think those are listening to think about what are the mental barriers. You have right now for you to be able to break through as I was doing endurance sports. I don't sit at the starting line of of a ironman triathlon. And say Oh my. Gosh I can't get to the twenty fifth mile at the end of the you think about. Okay how am I gonNA get to the first water station when you're running a marathon. Anybody can do it bio like we just get to the first water stays and get drink and then break it into small chunks. You've got to prepare. You gotta be ready when you're dealing with this monumental he's like you can't get. Pruitt is think about what can I do today? What's the next thing I could do? What's the next right thing to do? If you're trying to bring about change rake it into those practical things that are in your control right now. Then you find your almost at the finish line and you can have that victory. We can all be paralyzed by not figuring out how we can get there but just break it into small chunks and share some stories about how I did that a very practical way. The book a great part of the book another thing in there as the misery database. Don't keep going over everything that's wrong. Go explain that. Go over everything. That's right so I you know I was Kinda Not Jaro with some friends and It's really hard. The six day journey go up to ninety thousand three hundred forty feet. One of them brought his twelve year old elite athlete now. Normally five year olds are not going to be able to make but he was an elite runner but he was struggling so much and I walked alongside of at one point and they said you know what the talent you have is. We're all in our forties and fifties me. We're tapping into our misery databases of difficult things that we've been in our lives and we've been able to endure and survive and that's helping us get through this. Your problem is your database databases empty. But you're building it right now and if you can somehow one foot in front of the other and you make it at the top of Kilimanjaro. That's going to propel you to do amazing things in your life. And he made it to the top and some years later. His family sent me a video of him breaking away from the pack and winning the State Championship in High School. Because the others rounded. They didn't go to Kilimanjaro. They didn't persevere pass that and it propelled him to do amazing thing. So we've all got things we've endured and as we go through difficult times. We can tap back into that. Think about how you were able to make it through and that will give you the encouragement and the strength for you to get through what you're facing today. There's a lot of great stuff like that in this book. It's called dare to fly by Arizona. Senator Martha mcsally dared fly. What's the website again? You can go there to fly dot. Us You can get a the book from air links to many of the local outlets and you can also share your story with me. I want to hear from you. I need encouragement to. We're all in this together. And so they'd love to hear from you how you were able to break through various overcome your fear persevere through challenges and mistake there to fly dot. Us All right syndrome. Sally Great Lessons. Thanks a lot for being with great talking to you. God bless Y'all all right thanks take care all right now you see you see there you go i. That's how I look at her goal. Climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Win The triathlon. So our goal. Maybe we're trying to clean out the closet today. You can do it. So there's some great tips there just break it down into small chunks. Just one little task one little hour at a time. Just what you're going to do today and this is a really good period. Now you're in the final two weeks of lockdown. Everybody's GONNA start coming out of this pretty soon connecticut as already reopened there in phase one. They're heading into phase to New Jersey to Reopen Westchester. Has a start reopening today? Long Island starts reopening tomorrow New York City. Believe it or not as talking about June. Fifteenth as a reopening date Give Connecticut. It's been about a week in Connecticut. Give it another week. If there's no spike that'll speed up New York City so the date for New York City Phase One is June fifteenth and that may speed up so you got through ten. Were in week ten. You got through nine weeks of this. You can get through the next week or two and remember. It's coming to an end this lockdown. So whatever you wanted to get done during this period you don't have much time left. Said get it done today and take a take some tips from her book. Just write little tests. I'M GONNA clean this closet today and just do that one little task at a time and And you'll get through. It may the New York Stock Exchange reopened the floor today. Now it's not like it used to be with a million guys running around down there with those stupid vests on an everyday. Some company comes and You know rings the opening bell. They're not doing that stuff yet. But the floors reopen the New York Stock Exchange They're wearing masks and they've got their band handshakes and they'd not allowing anybody. That's come to the Florida. Take the subway. So it's again. It's like their phase one but it's it's headed in the right direction. Hey that's the big question when this Reopening takes place. What about the subway? There's a lot of after action reports and studies that have been done now Apparently Governor Cuomo is the number one guy to blame the number one villain and all of these studies not just his ascending Corona vira patients into the nursing homes which killed thousands and thousands of senior citizens but they think he was way too late closing down the schools. He should have shut them down when Mayor de Blasio called from the be shutdown. That's when you know you're really making bad decisions when you're behind build the Blasios but He was a couple of weeks too late to shut the schools down and a lot of people looking back. Nikki Jess should've shut the subway down and the question is how do people get to work? How the healthcare workers get to work. You know what that could have been figured out. If you were good at logistics you would have figured out a way. like How did they deliver food to people? In the food banks. The city went and hired a thousand cab drivers and had them bring the food. That could have done that for the healthcare workers but looking back. He probably should've set the subways down. You remember how it made a big deal out of disinfecting. The cars well. That was at week. Seven which means for seven weeks. He didn't disinfect the car. So he's GonNa look like a real villain in the end in all of this. Hey Check out the web pages a of good stuff up there Joe Biden got himself into big trouble with his ridiculous a Racial Gaffe. But it's not the first time he's got a history of racial problems of racist comments. Take a look at this video. Here's a bunch of them cut together through the years Also the IPHONE twelve is coming. It was supposed to be September. Looks like October but ten with this video. Show you the new iphone. Twelve Also Memorial Day Gypsy. Ronald Reagan's powerful Memorial Day message. It's really moving. It's up on the webpage. You just seven ten W. O. R. DOT COM slash Mark Seventeen W. O. R. dot com slash mark. Well so Westchester is In phase one of reopening today some things reopened in Westchester. Today Long Island the reopening begins tomorrow phase. One it's a cuomo phase one which means it's very.

You're in south. Carolina everything has been open for how long now three weeks or four weeks. Oh, probably going on four weeks now it's really almost. Almost you know normal except you see a lot of people still wearing masks, which is a good idea. I see by Instagram. You're out and about over the weekend there mark. Yeah now, but you've been going to stores, restaurants and every there's outbreak, not no big surge, no more increase in cases. Everything's fine down there, right? The numbers have been pretty steady. Have some you know. Keep my fingers stays that way. So I was in Connecticut this weekend. If you check out my instagram, you'll see pictures of all these great outdoor well. Some are indoor restaurants, but they're just using the outdoor tables. Connecticut reopened on Wednesday so it's almost a week that they've been reopened in Connecticut. Stores are open. You can go into the store. You can walk around. I wanted to the big department stores like Saks, a lot of people in there in fact I would actually say more people shopping in the stores than before the crisis because. Many people desperate to Davos social life to see some people that get out there. And then all of the outdoor restaurants had their tables outside and every night every lunch every dinner. Those tables were full every table fold people eating outside now I went to a lot of places. I didn't have the nerve to eat at a restaurant yet because you didn't well. You're touching those classes, the silverware the. I know it's clean, but you know what I know I see a lot of people I know eating it all these places and they all ate there this weekend. But I hear Martha mcsally Martha mcsally his campaign released a four page memo explaining the congresswoman's lost secure some cinema. And I gotta tell you. It sounds like Hillary Clinton's see what had happened was. The the campaign. They're they're blaming. A lot of different entities, but not Ecorse themselves. Not the candidate. They're saying that the it's the media's fault local media consistently focused on tensions between McCain and flake. And the Trump wings of the party make it a difficult to unify Republicans was that the that the. The media's job that's supposed to be your job, Martha mcsally, you couldn't unify the party. That's that on the media. And I'm not trying to you know, come to the lease defense, Laurie. Roberts over to the Arizona state is central worked you on Hannity show. Crying local media weren't paying attention. Stop it. Stop it. I'll say it again, you're going on national TV talking about how to local media won't cover. You. But yet never came onto the the conservative circus when you're invited. Can only be two possible reasons for that. Because the hosts zap American of African descent. Or did the whole conservative or both? The only racist of you wanted to be the rates that everything to do with conservatism. We'll get to that. In a moment is geographies fought is what their internal memos said cinema had representatives can congressional district wholly contained within miracle per county, which is over sixty percent of the general election electorate, so what? So what part of the problem with that is cinemas known in that district. You weren't oops. Is George Soros and Chuck Schumer spot because of all the money that they poured into the primary again and look at all the money that was spent against Trump. What was the L spent five ago like that still he prevailed? You saying that you'd have enough money you'd have enough support. Stop it. It's Kelly wards fought for daring to a polls big Sally in a hard fought Republican primary while cinema had a cakewalk. Listen everywhere for Dr Kelli ward, never do never would have been in a race in the first place. Dr Kelli ward, did that decide the primary Jeff flake what you're gonna primary Jeff flake, you never would've because you're all part of the McCain camp, stop it. You should think you should thank Dr Kelli ward forgiving you the opportunity to fail. I love this one. It's the fault of moderate Republicans mostly women a certain segment of ABC Republicans was outright hostile to President Trump and against the Brett Cavanaugh supreme court appointment, really who what this segment of moderate Republicans, especially women folk proved very difficult to bring home to a Republican candidate that supported President Trump and the confirmation of Justice cavenaugh that is the biggest line of crap. If that came from the from the big Sally kept God help us. I hope governor ducey's listen to this governor Ducey. The mkx Sally campus saying that that Brad Kavanagh. The appointment of brick Cavanaugh turned off Republican women. What stop it? This whole mean put out there. This is this is the new narrative oath. The white suburban women that don't make your mind up you need to make your mind up. About this. Because I if I listen to you, I get confused. Oh cinema was well funded. Here's the deal. Here's the same article. They give you the the five most likely reasons bio big Sally loss again. This is a this is Laurie Roberts got to get this guy. Give have to give her her do. Uh-huh. There by computer, just blanked out is this ashamed. This is Laurie Roberts. From the central. Here's a five reasons. Most likely she lost big Sally became so when she wasn't. Yes. She did see I. You have a unique to have a Laurie Roberts. Tell you that I told you that from the very beginning. What you saw on television the campaign that was not the real Martha big Sally, if you could find the archives of the circus different form, you would some of those interviews us. Yeah. We were we were kneecap for telling the truth. We were threatened with kneecapping. We're telling the truth about the Sally. So yeah, she she she became something. She was not. A conservative see, and she's afraid to come to the circus because that would have been exposed can take that chance in her pursuit of Trump. Excel this a well respected dieting, Senator, of course, referring to a Senator McCain and Senator McCain's daughter did not let her forget about that. We'll never let her forget about that. Some would say, well, actually, I won't go there. I'm Martha mcsally never told her story. Yes. She was more of a caricature of herself. She was a fighter pilot. You know, she was the first female fighter pilot and combat. How'd you get there? We would like to hear that story. Actually having. The fact that I know that story. No, you wouldn't. And then the Senate Republican party never gave big Sally get chance. Well, you know, all love this line. These days a GOP nominee must be rigidly right wing that is both our requirement and a death sentence really something for Republicans to think about as they approach the twenty twenty race for Arizona's other Senate seat. Oh, really? Well, I'll tell you what if you don't. I don't care you could be a democrat in their view support. Trump. You're going to get elected. But the support has to be genuine if it's not January. You can't fake the funk and marked the problem is she tried to fake the funk. She was a never-trumper. I told you I told you that the primaries won't listen to me. You talk about how she looks on paper. We're we're we're we're beyond that. Now, these are matters of the heart and the and the Republican voter and even a democrat voted the blue dog type democrat voter, they'd listen to Trump, and that's all you're listening to MC Sally that was fake. Just keeping it real. And if you doubted me, check out this article that you doubt, it be check out the memo that came out of the Martha mcsally camp, the four page memo explaining the congresswoman's lost the cures and cinema is telling you everything you need to know. About what I told you before it confirms it. Who? Conservative circus. We we haven't even been in the Bali for a year yet. But please. Don't doubt me. If I'm ever wrong. I'll come on. I'll tell you Brooke. But. Happens occasionally. But no not on this too much. And so now now now the hope is that the governor of Arizona governor Ducey appoints, Martha mcsally to the seat. I am telling you right here. And right now that would be a mistake..

"So which is just to say that the notion of gaming the system to your vantage is not a Republican Democratic issue. It's it's it's it's whoever has to happens to be gaining the upper hand at the time is gonna is gonna do whatever. They can. It's all about power and keeping it. Yeah. I think we should be clear that gaining trying to get the upper hand in any election and have the results that you you'd like to have is not something unique to either party on. On the hopeful note, just as a as a way to as evidence of that in to reinforce it. We had a great outcome in Arizona this election. We had a very close race in this in the US Senate race there between Kirstin cinema and Martha mcsally and Maxine was a head and then more votes came in and it turned around. And there was a was a lawsuit five America county and everybody got together and said the rural counties objected to it and they found a solution. And it was a very sort of progressive model for how this can work and then very diplomatically conceded the race after she had been ahead. So, you know, hopefully, we'll see more of that in the future, and Alex I would just add that I think the key is to make sure that all the votes are counted properly. No matter the circumstances. And I agree with Mark that Arizona in some ways is the model, and I think our legal systems should ensure that recounts can happen quickly. Expeditiously? I liked the new Florida law that basically says it's not one side requesting a recount, it's not Nelson or Guillem requesting a recount if they're behind or Disentis or Scott opposing recount if their head there are automatic triggers. There has to be a recount of the votes, if the margins are small enough, well, all I will say is this with Florida and the importance of the state in the twenty twenty presidential election with the importance of each Senate seat in the current makeup of the Senate and the outsize importance that state governors play in national politics, it's imperative that whatever the results this week or next week or whenever this Florida recount ends America. A lot in American politics will be riding on it. And maybe maybe maybe this time Florida has actually learned its lesson. Jeremy and Mark thank you guys so much for joining meat and opening up old wounds are living our listenership is wiser for it. And we appreciate your time. I think Germany can confirm that even having Florida right now, they they pass some a lot of state legislation to make it better than it was obviously still problems. But hopefully, we'll learn more or less to your point hopefully in twenty twenty we will not here late at night, Florida, Florida, Florida. Dark. I say I'd have a flashback in a breakdown all the same time just for your own sanity. We hope it doesn't come back to Florida. Thanks, guys. Thanks. That'll do.

"The lies the misinformation and propaganda campaigns being run by top Senate candidates all around the country. Now, we go to the great state of Arizona. I don't even know why this race at this particular point in time is even close I really don't. Now, you've got a war hero by the name of Martha mcsally Twenty-eight years. She has served this country. Twenty eight years six tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, and she says while her opponent was wearing a pink Tutu, and and organi. Antiwar protesters. Now, she's also Kristen cinema. The democrat called her own state, the meth lab of democracy. We found tape of that she called Arizona voters. Crazy. He said that Arizona's only famous in a Lindsay Lohan kind away and right after nine eleven she said, it's okay. She has no problem with Americans joining our enemy, the Taliban to fight. She literally said it while Martha mcsally is risking her life in a think about that tonight. And she even promoted an event at Arizona State University, featuring a radical lawyer who is representing the blind shake anyway now they have been caught on tape once again Project Veritas, this is their fourth strike this election cycle, and I'm gonna play it for your cinema, joking that banning guns in Arizona, people will shoot you. And then saying believe it or not that she can't talk about gun control or immigration notice. How every one of these Democrats can't tell you what they. I really think or how they really feel then a cinema staffer saying. Well, she can't be to progressive. So she can get moderate votes. So in other words, they're all faking who they are. So you vote for them, and a cinema staffer saying that cinema will be liberal if elected they're saying it, and that, of course, cinema now saying you all you can't trust Project, Veritas Veritas, convicted criminals. There's no trusting what your own I show you. Anyway, let's play these tapes. Yeah..

"We're going to get right to them. But I wanted to address the too close Senate races right now in the country eleven days after the mid terms, then we're going to go right to your phone calls. Those are in Arizona and Nevada. Let's start in Arizona fan. This is an open seat because of the passing of Senator John McCain, tell us about the two candidates. They're both both members of congress. Yeah. That's right. Martha mcsally versus Kirstin cinema. Jordan. I I I'll be honest with you. I think this is going to come down to one issue in the state of Arizona, that's immigration and border security. There's a very big divergence between the two candidates Martha mcsally is closely aligned with President Trump on his efforts to secure the border and then work on an overall solution. Kirstin cinema just quite frankly is not and I think that has been the driving force of of really having the numbers move, Martha mcsally way a matter of a month ago. It looked like a two three four point advantage for Kirstin cinema. Now, it looks like. Sally is up by about a point or to the early numbers there as far as registration. Sure. Do look like they're favoring her, but again, Jordan going back globally. This is one of the two Republican seats that Democrats absolutely have to have if they were to take majority. I mean, so again, this is these are important races. And they are down there within the margin of error either candidate could win, but there's some momentum going behind the Republicans right now. Take a listen. This is just interesting the democrat candidate congressman cinema. She said this in a radio show. This is coming back to haunt or a bit byte thirty three. No, no, no. He as an individual. If I want go white in the Taliban. Army I go over there. You know, I'm fighting for the Taliban. I'm saying personal decision. I don't know why she said something like that find I don't care if you go fight for the Taliban, but as a member of congress, and then she says this about our own state by thirty four speaking to the very liberal this year net roots nation, just a couple of months ago. I understand that this is a political tactic that she's chosen. I am disappointed by it because I think it lessens the importance of what we're doing and what we're talking about in this country. Okay. One of those. I think what really started at all was the pink to to add, you know, where there's there's Kirstin cinema. You know, and as Martha mcsally put it when she was here on Arizona's morning news last week. She said, look I didn't put her in the pink Tutu that was her doing. But here's the pink to to add where she was here cinema caught on camera protesting, the, well, let's let's put it this way protesting the war in Iraq. I let me say that fifteen years ago, I was opposed to the war. And this is the war in Iraq. Yes. Which is still happening. What's unfortunate about what Martha chose to do in that ad was to falsely alleged that I was. Protesting our troops. And that bothered me because my own brothers serve in the military. All right. So there you go and. See I think this has been very smart on Kirstin cinemas part. She has gone out of her way to say, look when the president does something I agree with I'm willing to work with them when I don't agree with them. I'm not going to work with them. And now that she put it in the debate the other night, it was calling the balls and the strikes as she sees them. Right. But she's also not put the d the d in parentheses next to her name very much. You know, she is a democrat. But MAC and Gaydos, ask yourself cinema. Or are you a proud? Are. You are you a proud democrat. Gosh, it's hard to say proud. I don't know that. I'm not sure that people are even proud of parties anymore because I feel like the parties are not doing a good job. So I would say that. I'm a proud Arizonan. Wow. Did you hear that? That was almost as that was almost as good as Gaydos is, you know, his his disgusted sound that. He made yesterday regarding our Pyo and Dennis off the the brothel owner. Oh, yeah. There you go. One more thing here. This is this is something I I saw. The Arizona Republic had a story that actually says that some advocates are concerned that migrant families being released by immigration and customs enforcement is being done to fire up support for Donald Trump's base Marija from the article here's some advocates are concerned that the large-scale release of families has been time by the Trump administration to fire up the Republican base leading up to the midterm elections in hopes of tipping the scales in favor of Republican candidates such as Representative Martha mcsally a border Hawke who is running neck and neck with her centrist democratic opponent Representative cinema. You know, we usually look to the right side of the political spectrum for wild eyed conspiracy theories, but now the left is buying into some of these conspiracy theories and saying, you know, they're just releasing those families to get some votes for the Republicans, immigration and customs enforcement, really people. Really? Okay. Go down that road fund five forty eight now at KTAR..
