Just stand up. You're 300 pounds. And then as mugshot king is eyes open. Because she's already got little eyes of it. Yeah, but it is not going to go to jail for that. It sucks that people can pay for it. He'll just pay. Well, what do you mean? He'll go to jail. I mean, he went to jail that night. That night. And he got out like an hour. That's what everyone else does. I have had 5 friends, 6 friends that got dilly eyes. They were in jail for 5 hours, got billed. Are they rich? No. Anyone does. Yeah, you get bailed out. You get bailed out, but he's going to have to pay a fine. It's easier for him to pay the fine. Who's going to bail out a poor dude? That's the problem. Every, well, that's why like homeless people. And that's why you have a bail bondsman because you only have to pay a portion of the bail. To get out. Yeah, I never knew that. I never knew that. I thought like a bail is 5500 $1000 or pay like 5000 bucks, you're out. Yeah. That's it. That's a crapload. That's nothing. My brother still loves me money. I always think.

I think he's in the running for most improperly used guy from last season. And there's a world where he's fucking awesome. Judy comes back, Sutton's there and they just, he has like real weapons. Not that he did it and the Seahawks because he had two really good receivers, but he never as good as his running backs for. They were certain kind of running back. He never had a guy like Williams. That I can remember in Seattle, can you? Well, going back to lynch. Williams is sort of Marshawn Lynch like, you know, and his ability to break tackles and stuff. So I would say going back to lynch, that's but you're going back 8 years at this point, exactly. You know, Chris Carson's not like that. I think Chris Carson's a good running back, but he said certainly not the same. Right. He's not in the same realm or whatever. If a javonte wins in terms of his explosiveness and his ability to break tackles all that stuff, yeah, and plus I think their defense is going to be pretty good. So there's going to be shit. Let's audible to that. I mean, they got Randy Gregory and DJ Jones. Yeah. And I like their defense. Anyway, the Gregory thing was shocking. I thought that was an interesting point. People never leave the cowboys, you know? Unless it's like an obvious money difference. Now, obviously, fast forward to the Russell Wilson trade now. That looks great. You can see the tan in the trade. Yeah. I know CX fans were definitely very disappointed that Satan was not a part of that trade. That was sort of one of the givens beforehand. Like obviously we sort of had this inkling that it could happen with the Broncos. And it was like everyone was like, oh, now a thousand. We got to get certain if we're going to have this trade. And then of course it didn't happen. Would you rather have the second first or certain? Because you'd rather have certain, right? Yeah, the second first is you're trying to get certain with that second first, right? A player of that caliber. He's already going to be like top tier players. So yeah, you take the bird in hand and Satan, I think. And I don't trust the Seahawks for use those first round picks anymore, which is another part of the reason I'm trying to just keep myself bad. This is where you break right now. This is where the tears come. Yeah, I think all of us football nerds, we all kind of like the Broncos the last couple of years, even though the actual product and results didn't match the stuff we liked. So now they add new coach, but then new QB and they're spending on defense, they're in a ridiculously good division. That division, that's going to be one of the better divisions we've had in a while. It feels like where Vegas is going to be the worst team in the vision. That team is going to be good. But, you know, it's set up for him. The psychology of it of he obviously felt a little marginalized the last few years. Whether that's right or wrong, didn't seem like he had the personnel say. Right. Didn't love whatever offense, but the thing is they kept changing the offense. He just didn't like whatever it was. And it was kind of like, is this Pete's team or my team seemed to be the fundamental thing, which we see with quarterbacks and coaches. Over and over again. And now he's going to go to Denver. It's clearly his team, his city. He's going to be the guy. He'll sell the most jerseys, it's all lined up for him. I just don't know if he's the same guy who was 8 years ago. I don't think he is. Yeah. I think what you're saying is very interesting because they did try and design new offenses for him or whatever quote unquote new offenses. They tried to bring in they did bring in new offensive coordinators like cycle through a few different guys. And so I know from the CX point of view, the Seattle fans, point of view I should say, some people just believe it's just there is a Russell Wilson offense and this is what they were running in Seattle. It's essentially like they're trying to get the best out of his skill set. So maybe this is what we see in Denver. That's why I'm kind of alluding to earlier. Maybe it's just going to be the same type of offense. I do think it matters that this is a new head coach in Denver because there's not going to be that tension of whose team it is. You know what I mean? Like Pete Carroll. That tension. It was never like outright. They were mad at each other, they hated each other, like they always got along, it seemed like Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll. But there is just like philosophically they never aligned. And so, you know, I think with the trade what they brought in in the trade, obviously they're bringing him in, they giving up a lot to bring him in. I think it's going to be Wilson's team and Hackett is the shepherd to kind of make it all work. But this is Wilson's team. I thought it was interesting. He never came on flying coach with when we had Pete Carroll and Steve Kerr as the coaches. Who Wilson or.

"He was dressed sharp, young, African American student, and he had, I don't know if your Seattle Seahawks fan or not, but he had the nice looking dreads and you know he was looking really sharp. And he was hanging on every word. And at the end, you know, during the Q&A, that's my favorite part because I get to really connect with these kids. And I got a couple of layup questions and then this kid finally raised his hand. And he asked me, he said, hey, Bobby, as you were getting started in your career, how did you get past the color thing? And I knew what he was really asking me, though, but I wanted to create a way to drive it home. So I looked at him and I said, hey, do you mind if I ask you a question first before. We answer that? He's sure. And I said, you know, you're pretty athletic looking young man. I said, do you think you could be in a race? And he looked at me. Obviously, not knowing where this question from left field came from. Yeah. And I said, you know, he looked at me and he's like, of course. And I said, okay. And I said, hey, do you mind if I call you skittles because you got that whole Marshawn Lynch thing going on, you know, and you're looking really sharp and his friends started laughing because that was actually his nickname. Cool. And so I said, hey, I said, hey, come on up. Come on up on the stage. I said you and I are going to race across the stage right now and I'm going to prove to you that I can beat you in a race. And according to kiss, kids started getting all excited and so forth. And I called them up. And we walked over to the side of the stage. It was a pretty long but short stage. It was going to be a short race. And I had to gather that introduced me, go to the other side. And as we're sitting there, my man skittles is getting down like he's going to still second base. Like there's no way he's letting this old man beat him in front of all his friends, right? And so as the race gets started as we get there, the gal, I told her, hey, go and start us. And she says, on your Mark, get set. And right before she said, go, I put my hand out in front of this young man. And I stepped out in front of him and I said, hey, let me ask you something. What were you thinking about when you were on that line? And he looked at me and he said, beating you. And I said, okay, I said, let me ask you another question. Did you care what color I was? And he said, no. And then he just grinned from ear to ear. And I said, hey, look, I know what a question you were really asking me. I'm not saying that the color thing is not real. I'm not saying that all these things that are out that are uncontrollable, by the way, aren't something that you're going to face. But here's what I want you to leave with. From this day forward, you have control over your story over your choices and over how hard you run. And so I think you were asked you asked me your question about how do I get over the color thing. But your real question is, how do I best take control of my own story? And I said, next time you're on that line and no matter what race you run, doesn't matter who the person is to the left or right, you just run your best race and you run the next one better than that one. And that young man to this day will never forget that moment. And I think more often than not, the message that I send these kids born on the wrong side of the opportunity to divide is, look, these things out here, they're in controllable. But what is controllable is the story that you can control and the choices you make. Raise your standards every time you line up. And if we do those two, I think we'll eventually get to that place where we all want to get to. But it's not just one sided. And I'm always real intentional about making sure that we look at both sides of the narrative because it's an and not an or. Yeah, absolutely. Super, thank you for that. It was a brilliant story and a brilliant way of understanding that the issues are still the issues. Nobody's saying they're not the issues. But the focus is up to you. What you're determining is the focus. And the truth is, because of the narrative of the political environment or whatever it might be. Because the argument could easily be, well, I'm starting three yards back, then run three yards harder. That's right. That's it. That's right. That's what you have control over. So that's fabulous. "There was like a couple years where I burned out on football. Sure. It must have been because this was a huge deal. So they're up 16 nothing they're in the against the legion of boom, like the best defense of the decade, there's 7 point under dogs on the road, no one thought they were gonna win. They're up 16 nothing. In the fourth quarter, Rogers also had kind of a bum ankle he couldn't really scramble too much. And they basically within the last 5 minutes of the game, my dad and I were booking our flights to go to the Super Bowl. Like this game was over. Man, defense was crushing Russ all day, and then within 5 minutes they go three and out on two drives where Mike McCarthy ran the ball 6 times. And then Russ leads to touchdown drives. The first and they needed to get the two point conversion. So they run the ball three times, Seahawks get the ball. Then they go for two, Russ scrambles throws all the way across the field. Ha ha Kalinda stares at a two point conversion that goes right in front of his face. So it's 16, it's 16 to 8 with like two minutes left. On side kick, the Seahawks recover it because bran and bostick like didn't do his job. He's like the villain in Green Bay is banned in Boston because he is supposed to block, but he goes up for the ball instead and Jordy Nelson's behind. I'm like, oh no, like waiting for the ball, so missed like assignment on an inside kick. Seahawks get the ball, two plays later, throws a touchdown, gets the two point conversion, and then Rogers, I'm missing something in there because the packers were down by three actually after that. And Rogers gets the ball like 40 seconds actually leads a drive to go get a field goal in that moment. To send in an overtime, they lose the coin toss and Rodgers never sees the football. It was an unbelievable collapse. So they could have very well one Super Bowl that year if that all doesn't shake down. What year was that? That was 2015. And that's when the Seahawks won the Super Bowl, right? Patriots. At the goal line, interception, like the Marshawn Lynch, was that did that Super Bowl and was that February 2016?.

None of these jobs were ones that I was doors or ones that I ever aspired to do. You know I kind of fell into all them So now that I've alienated. I was going to be like you guys like arts writer or more cultural criticisms kind of interesting to me out of college and then I fell into business. Journalism Durin Internship for magazine called Fortune. Small Business got job at Fortune magazine out of college. Writing about finance and investing moved to doing features than doing investigative features moved to Bloomberg News whereas they're investigative team and I. I've always loved sports but I never aspired to be in sports as a career. Never ASPIRE TO BE ON TELEVISION. Never aspired to do commentary. Espn reached out to me. I'll just didn't really seem like an option for me. Just didn't seem like something that somebody like me would even do quite frankly But but along those lines I don't think business journalism seemed like an option to me.
