So that was something that I learned pretty early on is that you have more buying power in certain brands, so you may want to stay with certain vendors, like, you know, you have your choices between lazard, Marshawn, match, what you may want to limit the amount of vendors that you have so that you have bigger buying power. Another thing too is that your reps, there's a lot of reps that you have specific reps for each company. And you might have 5 reps. Well, I would personally limit the amount of reps that I have. So I'm a select product that is with one rep so that I'm not seeing 5 different reps. Those reps coming into your practice is a lot of time. It's very time consuming, developing those relationships with those vendors. So if you limit the amount of reps based on the brands, then that is going to save your practice a lot of time. Fantastic. No. 15 yards. 15 yards against the same. I'm watching back to the clip and Marshawn Lattimore is about 5 yards from the sidelines. And he's saying something. You can't tell he's talking to. But he's just about to turn around and kind of go back to the huddle and there's Bruce Arians like swinging his arm around and pointing. That's what everyone else does. I have had 5 friends, 6 friends that got dilly eyes. They were in jail for 5 hours, got billed. Are they rich? No. Anyone does. Yeah, you get bailed out. You get bailed out, but he's going to have to pay a fine. It's easier for him to pay the fine. Who's going to bail out a poor dude? That's the problem. Every, well, that's why like homeless people. And that's why you have a bail bondsman because you only have to pay a portion of the bail. To get out. Yeah, I never knew that. I never knew that. I'm curious because i thought the man casts would get a big rating interns. Let me rephrase that would have bigger ratings than they had in their previous episode week. Three because my logic was monday night. Game was so bad and so on watchable. Thanks to two inept quarterbacks that i thought people would go to the manning's for some entertainment. It didn't work out that way in week. Two and three they got one point. Eight one point nine million viewers and then they at one point six for this week now some people said maybe it was because they took three weeks off but my thing is the worst. The game is the better is for the manning's what did you. This week was a great episode. But marshawn lynch tom brady was off the charts. What did you watch any manning's this week. I did but i i do think that the layoff hurt them and i do think that the quality or lack thereof of the game hurt them. Because that's a match. You know me. I'm in a full block and get enough of it. That game was not even on my radar on monday night. So i had no interest in it and that i'm checking tweets as i'm watching. It goes watching the rangers hockey. And i see that brady was on so i flipped over right before half and i saw some of the clips of marshawn lynch than once. I put it on to watch brady from menon. Look i love those guys. It's been an entertaining. It's been a nice buildup. And i was into it after the initial hit in week. One those going to be a disaster. Then they started to settle in as the build up. I got more into it. I think the layoff her. And i think the fact that it was a crap game that had no really no interest that i took a lot away from it but i i do really enjoy watching those two. "Lauren. Oiler joins us now. From ithaca new york. Her first novel is just out. It's called a fake accounts. Lauren thanks so much for being here. Thank you for having me alright. So people know your name even before this novel moseley probably as credit. You've written book reviews for the new york times booker view but also for many other places. Talk a little bit if you would about your reviewing. And how did you get into this well. I started reviewing as elliptical writer. As i think. Many increasingly many writers wrench generation will have to sort of similar background. Just about the millennial generation yes. I'm eleni on thirty years old. So i consider myself a true millennial smack in the middle and i said in english and college and when i graduated i moved to berlin and part because it was really cheap to live there and i wanted to work on my writing and the first sort of opportunity i got with to write liberals about books so every week i think for over a year i would write like a top ten list about top ten bucks three when you're sad and second your house or or whatever and you just made these like did you just come up with all by yourself or did you sort of pull friends. How did you compile them. Sometimes they would suggest something so if there was some event or you know if there was a holiday. Do something related to that. But it was really like. I could do whatever i wanted. And i think i was being paid. Twenty five pounds per article. Which means that. I had a lot of freedom to sort of cover the kind of books that i wanted to cover and do sort of weirder things and in the process of researching this column. I read a lot of criticism. I read a lot of weird sort of book websites. And i learned a lot about what was going to contemporary literature. Learned a lot about what i liked. Agent like in criticism as well. I want to hear everything you learned in all of those areas. I mean i. I guess what. What were the weird book websites. Well at the time we were living through a period which is now referred to as it right so the author but maybe many listeners will know from this movement is tau win. But there was a large group of sort of internet inflicted writers and poets and novelists who are doing sort of experimental literature. That was very much inflicted by the internet. And what kind of book criticism did you read. Where did you turn to other than us. Oh of course. I was reading really widely. But the thing that the way that i really got into it in the way that i sort of developed my style was by reading. Lots of old issues of el arbi wonder review of books online. And i just found that that you know. They're sort of signature combination of of very sort of cheeky. It's not cheeky. But it's it's very indepth in a along review. In which many sort of the books. The books are viewed for many different angles but ultimately there's a real perspective that's gone into those pieces that i really connected west. We should say at this point because it doesn't necessarily show up in your voice that you grew up in west virginia so this is like a very presumably big cultural shift going to berlin and reading the l. r. Did you grow up exposed to a lot of books and to criticism as as a as a kid or a teenager. No absolutely not. Don't overstate might rural upbringing raw. Basically not in a suburb but but something like a suburb But there wasn't you know there wasn't a lot of there weren't a lot of magazines around like i wasn't reading the new yorker. My family was reading the new yorker and my family our readers but they're reading sort of marshawn nra Stuff which is fine. And i should have to do my customary disclosure. Which is that. I did go to jail so that is really where. I got my my hose. Anything you can see the semi writing as well which is a real combination of of colloquial like mainstream kind of slang and the higher register that could be interpreted as literary or more serious. And i think that it really does come from this kind of normal upbringing in west virginia combined with suddenly. I'm at yale. And then i moved to europe.

Yes, there is no sure sign that The Browns are back and or what? I've been calling them now for a couple of years. America's team. This is all the evidence you need. The fact that JJ want wants to join them on their Super Bowl quest. Can you imagine getting back into a time machine and going back even a few years and telling the world that in 2021 that not only would the Texans cut their best player ever But that that same guy would want to go to the Cleveland Browns. Was quote seriously considering the Browns because they have what he wants and quote Cleveland is a bleeping destination now. Now Cleveland decides if they want you and not the other way around. They don't pitch you. You gotta pitch down, man. How times have changed? What amazing time to be alive? Hell, yes, The Browns have with J.
