Fresh update on "marsha blackburn" discussed on The Hugh Hewitt Show: Highly Concentrated

"I think it's a state of not of a solution he needs, he needs a state of sanity. And someone has to come out and call this. This calls for moral clarity, always clarity, clarity, clarity. It's so difficult. It's so difficult right now. How is your substack doing, by the way? That's the name of your substack, clarity. And you're obviously in a hotel room somewhere. So how do people sign up for that? It's my late wake up call. It's your late wake up call? It's my late wake up call. Well, I appreciate you're doing this. How is Hatzalah doing because you're, it's, and tell me the website, is it IsraelRescue.org or RescueIsrael.org? It's, oh, this is doing wonderful, Hatzalah is doing excellent, it's IsraelRescue.org. We had a major event last night in Atlantic City. That's where I am now. I guess they're not used to waking up people on time after they've been at the roulette table all night. So I apologize for the late wake up call, but then they're probably going to do it again. Hey, wake up. You got to get down to the, you know, get down to the, to the Blackjack tables. But amazing outcome last night, last reporting, the mayor was there, the assembly were there. It's interesting, the outpouring of non-Jews, you asked me often about non-Jews contributing. I would say a third of the audience there was not Jewish last night, including African Americans, people from different backgrounds. It was really quite moving to see that there to support the saving of human lives is quite beautiful. It's IsraelRescue.org. You don't get to write anywhere else. I think it's IsraelRescue.org. That's exactly correct. IsraelRescue.org for people who want to contribute. Now Dr. Oren, when you go back, what do you expect to find in terms of the emotional health of Israel? Because this has been pretty rugged stuff that we've been watching. I mean, I'm in daily contact with my family and I'm in daily contact with, I mean, not daily contact, whenever I'm in contact with my assistants, I have three assistants now in combat. And I spoke to one of them yesterday, has been 30 days straight combat, says that Gaza is hell. And he's had four of his good friends killed right in front of him. And he's a changed human being. And he said something else to me, Hugh, that disturbed me. He says, I'm tired, we're all tired, we're exhausted. And, well, it's disturbed me because this war is far from over and I hope we'll be able to rotate those troops as quickly as possible because I've been in combat, I know how exhausting it can actually be and how soul-changing it can be. They sound like different people and we have a long way to heal from this. We have to heal internally as a society, as a government and to restore our deterrence power also in the region. It's going to be very hard. Have you heard about this recent rumor going around that Hamas is willing to exchange all of the hostages and return for a ceasefire? Yes, and I think the Biden administration yesterday tried to push that on Israel by putting out a tweet that said you're playing into Hamas's hands. Joe Biden tweeted, it wasn't by the president, it's his private accounts, some staff from the White House, said Israel is playing into Hamas's hands. I just couldn't believe it. Well, last night at this event in Atlantic City, I asked the audience, I heard about this just before going up, and I asked them, okay, say you're the prime minister or would you go for this deal? And everybody stood up and said, no, no, no, no. That was an American audience. It was very interesting. It was an interesting moment. But there Hamas really is trying to get us. They're cutting to the quick and they're making their ultimate move. And as I suggested in that one of the clarity articles in the Sophie's Choice clarity articles, I say, OK, we say yes, but on one condition, every single member of Hamas gets out of boat. Right. Oh, yeah. I was just about to say that you offer them evacuations to Iran. Right. Gone. And then you go in and destroy the tunnels, you destroy the infrastructure, you put in place a technocratic government, as Naftali Bennett said on CNN last night, and the rebuilding of Gaza. But they won't accept that, will they, Dr. Ryan? No, of course not. But that should be our reply, though. And otherwise, you know, it looks like we're not getting this, we're not getting the hostages back. But still, it is an unspeakably difficult challenge for the state of Israel. Let me ask you about today. You're going to have to face it to say no to that. Today, Baby Kefir and his sister, the two reds, they call them in the Israeli press. There are only eight children left on the hostage list. There are 10 coming out today. If those children are not in that, do you think Israel ends the ceasefire? Because if they don't, that makes them the ultimate bargaining chips. Everything, every release raises the price. Every release raises the price. And at some point, I've been saying this with you for now, at least a week or two, that at some point, Israel's going to have to make the Sophie's choice, because Hamas will not release all the hostages. Notice he's not releasing a lot of Americans, too. He's trying to drive a wedge between the United States and Israel all the time, is that that choice is coming. And unless, of course, you can convince Hamas to get on that boat. Otherwise, there is no choice, because you have to destroy Hamas. We can't survive without you destroying Hamas. So it's going to be somewhere along the line. It's going to be the hostage or survivor. Did any of your sources give you any idea of how long the war will require to destroy Hamas when the ceasefire ends? And I listened to Gallant yesterday, the defense minister. They're not going anywhere. They're going to finish Hamas, no matter how long it takes. How long do you think it will take? Well, my assistants have told me that they will be in the army to at least January. These are people who went into the army on October 8th. So that is a long time to be away from your families and be away from your work. And it's exhausting, as you heard, emotionally, physically, every way, and traumatic. So that's a long time. And I think that's just this this tranche of of reservists. Listen, if I had my druthers, if I had my druthers, we would freeze the situation in Gaza right now. Keep it the status quo. And we would we would pivot north. Because I don't know you, I don't know how we go back to the status quo, Andy, with Hezbollah. Well, I asked Habib Radegir about that yesterday. He believes that Iran has taken over command and control of Hezbollah to prevent them from doing anything that would trigger the right for Israel to go after. To them, although they've already done enough to do so. But it would be very hard, wouldn't it, for Israel not to strike first? I mean, to do anything other than wait to be hit one minute. No, we've been hit repeatedly. And I think there's every cause of spelling in the world, not the least of which was that we know now what the terrorists can do to a civilian population. We know that no wall is impregnable. And if we don't do this, the northern part of the country is rendered uninhabitable. It's simply that. And I don't know whether maybe we wait until maybe the laser technology is perfected because we're going to be hit by between four and six thousand rocks a day. That's the IDF estimate for what Hezbollah will hit with us. And maybe we need better protection. I don't know. But we cannot, cannot go back to status quo in the north. In the meantime, America, if you support Israel, head over to Israel Rescue dot org, Israel Rescue dot org, whatever you can help. It's it is the time of giving. And boy, does Israel need it. Israel Rescue dot org support United Hadzala. Thank you, Dr. Orrin. We'll talk to you soon. Safe travels to Denver. Welcome back, America. Hugh Hewitt in Phoenix at the American Legislative Exchange Council Annual Policy Summit. It's being live streamed. States and National Policy Summit. If you go to A L E C dot org, you can follow along the bouncing ball. And it's really good stuff. I'm joined by Olivia Beavers of Politico because I want to shift back to Capitol Hill for a moment. Good morning, Olivia. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Thank you. I had a great Thanksgiving. Thank you. Wonderful. Good to see you, Olivia. Tell me a little bit about where the Tuberville hold is right now. Is it going to get resolved this week? I think this is a moment where it seems the most likely that it gets resolved in terms of being able to break the military hold. Tuberville, in a private meeting, basically kind of apologized to his colleagues for saying, I'm sorry, I put you in the spot, as as Leader Schumer basically talked about finally changing, potentially changing the rules and moving forward before Christmas break. That was their goal. So I think that he's looking for a way to address the situation. And there is going to be about, I think, nine, you know, they need about nine Republicans to do so. And Democrats think that senators Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney, Todd Young, Susan Collins, Joni Ernst, Tom Tillis. They think that those are the types of members that are going to vote to basically if they need them to, you know, to get around the rule and move forward. The smartest thing, though, would be for I have heard this morning from David Drucker. He expects more than the nine they need. He thought maybe half the conference or more might vote for the standing order to allow the 450 military promotions to move forward. And that's the knock on effect that I wrote about for The Post this week of thousands of family members and hundreds, if not thousands of promotions that Colonel, Lieutenant Colonel, captain and commander in the Navy and the Army and Navy respectively move forward. Do you think there is a chance to get that many Republicans on? Because it's not doing away. It's not accepting the violation of the Hyde Amendment. It's not pro-abortion to do this. It's just saying, what do you think? I'm not entirely sure what the whip count looks like, but I do know that privately, the frustrations are maybe a bit broader than we might see transform into votes, which tends to be sort of a thing we see up on Capitol Hill quite a bit. But probably there are a ton of Republicans who are very frustrated with the situation. They don't like the DOD policy on abortion, but they also are saying this should not be impacting our military performance and our national security, which is why you've seen some people really kind of start to speak out either privately or publicly about Senator Tuberville's position. One thing that we should be looking for is Tuberville is sort of looking for an off ramp with the NDAA. But after it kind of became clear that they wouldn't be getting a vote on the DOD abortion policy, I think we're trying to be looking to see what his next strategy will be, because I don't think that he's done with this fight that he's just so strongly tied himself to. Well, he can continue it on, but for one year standing resolution, we'll take it off the table. And I had Marsha Blackburn on the show yesterday said she thinks it's going to get resolved. Ted Cruz on Friday on the show, it was Thursday last week, said he expected it to get resolved. Maybe it was Wednesday. I think people and Marsha Blackburn referenced a visit she had made to a military base in Tennessee. You know, these senators have now heard from everybody in their states on the active duty military that this is not pro-life. It is anti-military. And I think they're going to move, Olivia. And I just don't know when that policy resolution is going to come to the floor or if Chuck Schumer even wants to get it resolved now. I think that they're going to move quite quickly. My colleagues reported that Schumer was looking before the Christmas break. So I think we're going to be seeing that in the coming weeks. And hopefully before the start of next year, they'll be able to have that resolved. And I also do think that they will get it resolved. But I also have covered enough in Congress where I wait and something pops up and surprises you last minute. So I always get careful with where I'm going to put my bets. Leader McConnell yesterday said Israel aid needs to move without conditions. Is that the consensus within the Senate writ large, except for those 25 Democrats who signed a letter yesterday? I just can't believe they they want to condition aid to Israel. I mean, there's so many talks that are going on in terms of that, but we're even just seeing as early as this morning, Republicans were pushing for changes on the border. Senator Thune went and talked to the House Republican whip meeting yesterday to sort of present a broader idea. And I think Republicans are waiting to see what they think about the plan, to have a more clear idea of the plan before they sort of respond. But Democrats are saying that they're uncomfortable with the parole requirements that Republicans say is a necessary bottom line idea. So they're very far from being able to move forward on a broader, you know, aid package. You can answer this for me. The Ukraine funding is tied up with immigration reform and border strengthening. I thought the Israel funding was moving separately from that, or is it all one package? So that's how it was passed through the House, but they expect that, you know, Biden has said that he would reject it. He wants it more broadly to include, you know, Ukraine. They think that that's how they can get it through with Republicans. And so then it's now you're seeing it being remodeled in a broader discussion. Olivia, the president is pushing for a two state solution, and it's not for the Middle East, it's for the Democrats. He needs one state for the Bernie Sanders anti-Israel part of his policy and Rashida Tlaib and another for the Chris Coons and solid with Israel Democrats who've been that way forever. So good luck to the president on getting that done, because you've got to revolt on his hands because he's too strongly pro-Israel. Olivia Beavers, follower on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, follower at Politico and see her each week here. Thank you, Olivia. I'll be right back from the ALEC gathering in Phoenix, ALEC.org. If you want to live stream all the ALEC proceedings, stay with us. Welcome back America. I'm Hugh Hewitt in Phoenix at the American Legislative Exchange Council, their annual policy summit. I'm joined by Lisa Nelson, who is the CEO of the American Legislative Exchange Council. I last saw her. I was wearing my tuxedo, Lisa. I never put that on. I put that on for ALEC because I love ALEC so much. And I put on my tuxedo and I emceed because I got the poke on Danny Perez and that was fun, too. That was quite the gala. Is that that way every year? It's not every year. It's every five years. And I don't even know if I'll do it in five years. I did it at the 45th because it was my third year on the job as CEO. And I thought, what a great marker to say we've made it 45. And I thought, well, am I going to make it to 50? And we did. And this organization is stronger than ever. So to have you there. And I squeezed myself into a nice dress, too. So I dressed up and it was fun to do that. I've never been in that building before. No, I've never been in D.C. since 1983 and I've never been in that building. Now, I want every state legislator who's listening to know they need to join ALEC because if they saw this, they would know why. So let's just run through your agenda. So people who are maybe thinking about becoming sponsors of ALEC, if they come here, they'll meet everybody. Number two, a state legislator coming. But what's the first thing you're doing today on Wednesday? Well, I'm really excited. And when you talk about legislators joining ALEC, I think over 350 new legislators have joined ALEC just this year, which is super exciting. I mean, you think about seven thousand three hundred total legislators. And to have that you have turnover all the time. So the content and the programing and what we put on as an educational tool for legislators is really important. Today, we are going to kick off with Governor, former Governor Doug Ducey is going to open us and welcome us to Arizona. I'm I'm sad that he's not in the governor's office, but but he's doing really good work with his new organization. But right after that, we're going to have a really good conversation about the balanced budget. Speaker Johnson, new Speaker of the House in D.C. is sending a video because Mike Johnson knows where it happened. Oh, my gosh. Was he a state legislator? Well, he was a state legislator in Louisiana and he was a member of ALEC. So he got trained and schooled up very, very well in his acceptance speech. I was watching it and I got chills because he talked about the seven things that he wanted to do. One of them was to establish this debt commission, bipartisan, bicameral, House and Senate at the federal level. But that would restore that balance of power and get the states back in charge of the budgets and balancing the budgets. So we're going to talk about that. The chairman of the Budget Committee is also sending a message. So you have the two leaders in Washington are finally saying it's time to listen to the states. Thirty four states have ratified this. It's time to actually move this forward. So there will be a really good discussion on fiscal responsibility, fiscal restraint. If we have to do it at our kitchen tables, don't you think Congress should do it in the federal government? So that will be exciting.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn: 'Joe Biden Inc. Is Compromised' By China

"Happy to have back on the program with us today the senator from Tennessee, senator Marsha Blackburn senator welcome. I'm delighted to join you. Thank you so much for having me back. Well, it's always good to talk to you and we always learn a lot. Right now, the U.S. does not quite have the capability to handle all the fentanyl that's coming across our border by way of China. In fact, April Haynes was just saying and we just played earlier a clip of her saying that we don't have the capacity. She's kind of surprised that, you know, there aren't enough agents, there aren't enough analysts to deal with this if we don't have enough people dealing with the fentanyl crisis coming from China. What's the reality and upshot of that? And the upshot should be that Joe Biden picks up the phone and calls Xi Jinping and says, hey buddy, you know that $1 trillion trade deficit we had with you last year. That's going to stop. If you don't cut it out when it comes to this fentanyl that you are manufacturing and you've buddied up with the cartels, we know what you're doing. You're sending it across our border and it is adversely impacting. So many of our communities. And by the way, we're going to run the cartels out of this country. But Joe Biden won't do that. Because it appears the more we learn that Joe Biden, his family and Biden incorporated, are compromised on some front. So the Chinese Communist Party does not fear him.

Trump's VP? Some in GOP already jockeying for consideration

"While it's known that former president Donald Trump is running again for the Republican nomination. The question remains of who might be his running mate, a shadow contest is underway with Republicans openly jockeying to position themselves as potential running mates with Donald Trump. Trump spoke during a swing through Iowa on Monday. We're going to have a lot of great choices for vice president. We're going to pick a great one. Three women who have been mentioned as possible contenders include representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, at least stefanik of New York, and news anchor turned failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Carrie Lake, who kissed a portrait of Trump that was placed on stage at the conservative political action conference this month. I don't know about you, but I say we spend every single day from here going forward striving to make America great again. According to people who have spoken to Trump, he's in no rush to make a decision, but allies say he is looking for someone who is unabashedly loyal. Trump has discussed other potential running mates, including Nikki Haley, South Carolina senator Tim Scott, Tennessee senator Marsha Blackburn, and Iowa governor Kim Reynolds. I am Jennifer King

"Now just a few moments ago, senator Marsha Blackburn dropped by and here's a little bit of that interview. All right, dropping by our position on radio row, the great senator from my home state, Tennessee, Marcia Blackburn, and senator you had the crowd going today. What a fun day at cpac. Well, it is and as we said, our segment was human trafficking cartels and beyond the China balloon. Because you look at how the Chinese Communist Party and the Mexican cartels are in cahoots. And you look at the how this fentanyl crisis is unique to the United States and all of that fentanyl is coming out of China, Mexico, cartels, and into our community. What was your reaction yesterday when President Biden actually laughed at a woman because of the fentanyl issue and losing losing children as well? He needs to apologize to that family immediately. I thought that was in very poor taste. I thought it was almost a moment of ridicule of the sadness. And I can not imagine as a mom and a grandma. I can not imagine the trauma and heartbreak of losing both of my children. I just can't. When you look at the drug addiction in this country and the drugs coming across our border and Memphis, the crime rates are just off the charts deadliest city most dangerous city in America, what is your message to people in Tennessee about the policies of these Democrats? Well, they need to look at how the issue of the cartels and the drug trafficking human trafficking gangs. All of that fits together. And pushing these gangs into our cities and that you're driving up the crime rate. The drug dealers. You know, Todd, the thing is, when you talk to the Tennessee bureau of investigation or of any state, they will tell you. The cartel has a presence in our state. The cartel is active, in our state. So in our communities, these Mexican cartels now have put down roots and have established themselves and have their hubs for trafficking drugs and people. Senator, you've got thousands of red blooded patriots here that they want to be active. They want to be engaged. What is your message to them? What can the average concern? As I said from the stage today, it is imperative in 2024 that we get everybody educated registered to vote and to the polls to vote. Gotta do it. All right, so you gotta do it. Great seeing you. You too. All right, there you go, folks, and it's sort of like being at cpac, it sort of like driving a 120 miles an hour down the interstate and you never know who's gonna jump into the car with you. So we're gonna have a lot of fun as we have folks drop by and talk about cpac talk about the future of America. And ladies and gentlemen, I hope that you hear on this program that we are always hopeful. Yes, there is some horrible stuff happening in this country, no doubt about it..

Marsha Blackburn: Biden Knows Iran Nuclear Deal Would Hurt Israel

"They know that this would be detrimental to Israel Israel is very concerned about this And they know that Iran is trying to enrich uranium to the point that they are just shy of being able to have that nuclear warhead So why would you embolden someone who is your adversary Why would you embolden someone who is the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism Why would you have sanctions on them So that they have billions of dollars to spend on that terrorist activity by funding the proxies who carry out their work And why would you have the Russians of all people negotiating with the Iranians to achieve this deal And I have been encouraged that Israel is very forced right and pushing back on all of this they are encouraging this administration not to move forward with Iran and I've also been encouraged that senator Menendez had said if there is any kind of deal that is reached it will have to come to the Senate foreign affairs committee for hearings and then it would have to go to a vote in the Senate and quite frankly I don't think that you would see the votes there but mark the point is it is a standing to think that looking at the product of the new access of evil Russia Iran China and North Korea The administration would take an action that would embolden the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism

Senator Marsha Blackburn Shares Her Insights on China

"Senator, you've been really good on China for years. We kind of taken our eye off China recently. They're re locking down, we don't know if they're going to take a move for Taiwan, but they're talking a big game. Anything that we need to know about China in recent news, our position towards China, what's your insight there? One of the things we know is you can not trust the Chinese Communist Party. I find it very interesting that China, Russia, Iran, North Korea. That is your new axis of evil. And you look at the China Russia relationship. And I don't think she should be paying is going to be believing Vladimir Putin the next time he says, hey, we're going to go take Ukraine. It's only going to take us about three days. We are in the 60 something days at this point with this fight. And people are rallying the global community is rallying to China. Here's the thing to watch, is China go into dump Russia and let them just be pushed back into Russia, or is China going to prop them up by their oil? Bank them with all the sanctions that are being put on

Senator Marsha Blackburn Can Tell You Exactly What a Woman Is

"Marshall Blackburn center. Welcome back to the program. Good to be with you. Thank you so much. So senator, I just got to ask you the trick question of the decade. What is a woman? You know, a woman is an adult female human being, two chromosomes. There are so many ways we can answer that question. And Charlie, I have to tell you, I was probably dumbfounded as anybody with the fact that I could not get an answer from judge Jackson as to could she provide the definition of the word woman. And of course, my question came in a series of questions that I was asking her about work education, the school board she serves on a curriculum called kindergarten that teaches children as young as 5 to choose a gender. I went to the VMI case and justice Ginsburg had written in that case in the deciding position that there were enduring differences between male and female. This, of course, was the decision that let women into our military academies. And I was moving on to question her about the NCAA and biological males competing against biological females. So since I couldn't get an answer from her about what kindergarten or the VMI decision in justice Ginsburg's writing on that opinion, I just looked at her and said, well, can you provide me the definition of the word woman? Because these cases dealing with biological males competing in women's sports is going to end up with the Supreme Court. Because when you allow biological males into that competition, in essence, what you're doing is doing away with title 9, which means that girls have equal opportunity in sports. They can't be discriminated against.

"Go to this story here. More secret gender transition closets discovered in public schools. A group's fear parents are being kept in the dark. Quote, they started in colleges, but trans closets stocked with transgender clothes and accessories for students to change into after arriving to school and back out before going home are being discovered in public schools with some indication that they're being kept secret from parents. So if you are sending your child to public school, there is a chance, albeit, I don't know how widespread, but this kind of goes to show the culture around government school teachers and how they think they control your kids. There is a chance that they are being exposed to are even participating

"And why I think that we've had arabella and demand justice and groups that are backing her for the Supreme Court They've also backed and pushed some of these individuals for the federal district and appellate court And as they've said give us your money and will push for progressives on the court Activists judges And she knew full well if she gave me an answer if she agreed with justice Ginsburg which is what I'd ask her if she agreed with justice Ginsburg This error enduring differences between men and women And if she gave that answer then she would have offended those that are on that progressive far left that Marxist ideology And that was not what she wanted to do So she just said I can't But I think I won't Because she didn't want to move to the point of offending them And of course my question had come in a line of questioning that I was doing Starting with her work on a progressive private school board about their curriculum that teaches what kindergarten and children to choose their gender as young as 5 years old And then I went to the VMI decision that justice Ginsburg wrote in that case United States versus Virginia And that is the seminal women's rights case that allows women entire military institutions And she wouldn't say if she agreed with justice Ginsburg which honestly I thought she would probably do So then I just asked her can you give me the definition of the word woman

The Totalitarian Truth Hidden Behind KBJ's "Biologist" Comment

"By now you've probably heard the back and forth between katangi Brown Jackson and Marsha Blackburn went into this in great detail. Yesterday and talked about how katangi Brown Jackson was unable to answer a very basic question. She was not able to answer the question of what is a woman. Now, katangi Brown Jackson, of course, has been mocked openly by almost every major conservative media outlet. You wouldn't even know she said this if you looked at CNN or The New York Times, the only way they describe it is right wingers pounce on tangi Brown Jackson to be unable to answer question or to yielding to experts and it kind of struck me as very interesting the way that she answered this question. And I listened to this tape over and over again. And first of all, katangi Brown Jackson has a smug attitude. She has a contempt for the entire process. She feels entitled to be the next Supreme Court Justice. You're going to see in her mannerisms, the way she's answering questions, she does not have any, I don't think she has any humility that prior nominees have had such as Amy Coney Barrett, who I thought was magnanimous and charming, contagion Brown Jackson has no such tone. And how she's approaching this. But I want you to re listen to this tape, because I think it's very telling. In fact, it's a unique window into how katangi Brown Jackson and the upcoming CRT regime or the new status, if you will, that we are going to be battling for the rest of my life, how they view the world. It's a window into who they think should actually have the power and why they think you should have almost none. Play cut 55. Can you provide a definition for the word woman? Can I provide a definition? No. Yeah. I can't. You can't? Not in this context. I'm not a biology. You have the word woman is so unclear in controversial that you can't give me a definition. She's not a biologist. Now, she should be mocked for that. She should be ridiculed for her inability to answer just the basic biological question, XX, XY chromosomes, not that hard, women can give birth, men can not. Pretty easy, pretty simple. What an opportunity for katangi Brown Jackson to have had a viral moment that might have had Republicans vote for, say, excuse me. I'm a woman. I'm a mother. I know what a woman is. You know what a woman is Marsha Blackburn. Instead, she almost says, no, I can't answer that because she knew, of course, the alphabet mafia would come after her, but the way she answered it, though, was more than just, I can't, which is, I'm not the specialist here. I'm just a judge trying to be on the Supreme Court.

It's on epic TV. And we thought we would talk a little bit about the hearings and Brown Jackson. I'm afraid that this is a woman who's going to probably make her way on the court. Now she doesn't alter the balance of the court, but she is going to be on the left. I mean, in a group of leftists, she's going to probably occupy the fire disposition on the left. What do you make of her for a statement that she couldn't even define what a woman was? Well, I think that this just shows what Marsha Blackburn said, which is that this is how radical she really is. She really is just a far left wing progressive and even further than any kind of traditional progressive we would think of because she can't even acknowledge anything in the realm of feminism because she doesn't even know what a woman is. So she's obviously solely focused in her mind on the trans issue. But I think that hopefully I hope that people like Manchin cinema and others will see this as she is so radical. So please send this back and bring us back a more moderate Democrat or maybe someone who is left wing, but she is another level of left wing that is not acceptable. I mean, what you're saying is that even feminism is too right wing for her. Right wing for her because she doesn't acknowledge that there's such thing as a woman, even though she was nominated because she was a woman. She herself is a woman, but she clearly doesn't know that. So I don't even know how she identifies herself when she's marking her gender or on a paper or things like that. "Flash check Thanks Charlie On the line with us now is senator Marsha Blackburn a Republican from Tennessee who is going to help us walk through everything happening in Congress Senator really appreciate you joining us now First off there is a massive bill heading from the house to your chamber in the Senate Democrats are looking to pass this major social tax and spending reconciliation bill Of course without Republican support in the Senate But I've got to ask you what is the Republican message and what is the Republican strategy if anything on this major bill that Democrats are looking to pass through the Senate The strategy is to make certain that we stall distill and then eventually that the bill dies because we do not want these programs to become law And the message on it is it's too expensive to afford that what they're going to do is increase federal spending They're going to put programs on the books for a very short period of time And then say they're paying for these programs with ten years worth of taxes So you might get one year of benefit in ten years of taxes with the way they have constructed this bill And you know they said oh this is completely paid for it It won't even cost you a dime or a dollar And then we find out that according to CBO the initial report on it is that it will cost 367 $1 billion in new debt put on our federal debt over the next decade But if you look at the pin Wharton study with dynamic story which they use they're looking at this not being a $1.75 bill But in actuality a $4.6 trillion bill And of course the debt that will be approved over that period of time is my child 3.67 our $367 billion So senator how do you stall it I know in this reconciliation process there's no limit to the number of amendments you can add that's that voter Rama in the Senate Is that the key point for senators to try to slow things down or what do you do to install this Well one of the things we have done successfully since this bill came out during the summer is to talk about how expensive it is and how your taxes are going to go up It is a driver of inflation and everyone is looking at inflation and just can not believe what they are seeing when they go to the grocery store when they go to the gas And much of that inflation is due to what Joe Biden has been doing since he took office killing the Keystone pipeline making us energy dependent not energy independent looking at regulations that are making more difficult for manufacturers supply chain problems for getting raw materials benefits that are causing people not to go back to work all of that contribute to the increase in inflation And people are realizing that We are seeing it in the president's unpopularity and the Boeing numbers people realize that this bill is not going to serve them or they are families well And that it is going to increase their cost Right So because of that we know every day somebody realizes this and every day somebody else recall the office of their elected representatives and that helped us to make certain that this bill never becomes law So senator I want to ask following up on your debt concerns there was a meeting yesterday between senators Schumer and McConnell on the path forward on the debt ceiling It sounds like Republicans aren't looking to help in any way What are your thoughts on what needs to happen on the debt ceiling by the potential December 15th deadline No we're not going to help them with the deadline Because of what they have done since Joe Biden took office I mean look at the 1.9 trillion that they immediately passed and then one point two 5 at least on this transportation infrastructure Bill which is really not about infrastructure The accelerated rate in benefits the programs that say you're putting on the book through this as I call it build that broke plan These are all things that are going to a detrimental to our economy and to our fiscal health So dealing with the debt ceiling they are on their own Okay so senator you've worked on so many issues I want to quickly touch on a couple of them One Facebook The Wall Street Journal reported today There's a bipartisan group of state attorneys general investigating Instagram part of meta on how it attracts and affects young people I know you've looked into legislation on this topic What do you expect from attorneys general on this issue And what do you have to do going forward on those kinds of issues Yes The attorneys general we are so pleased to see them pushing forward with a lawsuit and trying to jump into this the whole Facebook and meta to account for the practices of Instagram The way that these big tech companies and Facebook in particular are in violation of the children's online privacy protection act So we welcome their health and support going forward You are going to see us move forward with the children's privacy bill with a general online privacy bill that will exercise federal preemption and have one set of rules And one regulator you'll also take a push forward with the data security Bill And I think it is wonderful that you have parents and educators and pediatricians and state legislators and state attorneys general who are saying we are going to help you to push this over the finish line Thank you so much senator Marsha Blackburn will leave it there That was senator The legislation authorizes $190 billion in spending mostly for research and development at universities and other institutions. It also includes $52 billion in emergency outlets. "Country serving as your president has been the honor of my lifetime and to all of my wonderful supporters. I know you are disappointed. But I also want you to know that our incredible journey is only just beginning. Thank you. God bless you and God bless America. So there you go. So I guess he's uh, He's one of them now, huh? He's saying exactly what been telling you the last two days, folks. I mean, come on. That's exactly the message that we needed to hear from the president at this time, and I applaud him for it. The phones we go and the Joe you would be up next. Fill that one time show Joe. What's up? How you doing, Uncle Phil? Hanging in the job. All right. I appreciate what you do for us on the radio. Just in quick points is my one big disappointment was president Trump spending but everything else I can't remember a president has done everything he said he would do what he went in. And the last point and then if I get your thoughts is, um, highly disappointed in Haggerty and Marsha Blackburn. Because they didn't go ahead and continue. With the hearing because the hearing in the to me the attack had wants nothing to do with the other. They should have continued. I even had a liberal friend who said that he was learning stuff during the debate before the attack. So I think they should have continued it and I'm really disappointed that they did. Well, I look like I appreciate that. We're gonna go to the news in the second. So I understand why they didn't. I mean, in light of what it happens, some woman had been shot. A bunch of people injured in that we had now five dead with the Capitol Hill officer. I hope it's not the officer who pulled the trigger, and he decided to Destroy himself. I'm not Don't Please done. That's not have no information on that. I just I'm just hoping that's not the case. But there were several officers who were injured and apparently some of them very seriously injured and apparently, that's one of who died. But as far as you can understand, you come back in there after what has just happened, And then you continue with what you're doing. See? That's what I'm saying. All you folks who thought that the protesters were great in there, Not many of you, obviously from the meat we poll But you thought that this is a great thing where you just derailed that whole thing about us learning more about what was going on. So that was over. This is never ever the solution will be back after the news information, Fuel opinion driven.

"Isn't a truly amazing how quickly quickly the Republican Party senators folded man. That was that was That was a big surprise, right? Yeah. Yesterday, the ones that fold Marsha Blackburn, I'll we're not gonna going on there. Contest. Y'all actually you were scared. Remember that? Did you catch any of that? Last week? Yesterday they were counting the vote. Ah, somebody from the house. I don't know who it was, and I can't memorize 435 people, but I did recognize Ted Cruz. He was a sign on senator for the first contention around Arizona. Next thing you know, everybody's got to hit the deck run. Trump's supporters have come here and they're burning the building down on next thing, you know, they're out the door. Well, they come back. And I I caught it was it was just after eight o'clock. Ah, they came back in the session and Grandma got up there and he asked for the floor First, Mike Pence made one of the saddest speeches ever. And then, uh, Uh, Grandma asked for time, and he gave it to him. And Grandma made another disgusting, sad speech and then who else? Much other people, and then they went back into it. And then they certified the vote for Joe Biden. Yes. Oh, Joe Biden's gonna be sworn in on the 20th, according to Congress. And from what I watched it was it was really bad. I mean, bet you know the two people that actually stuck by their guns while they're a couple, actually, But Josh Hall just probably led the charge wasn't Ted Cruz. Cruise stuck by his guns. Hey, he was going for the We need some kind of a 10 Day audit. Really? Okay. What we needed was a complete seating of Donald Trump electors. That's where Hollywood scented with it all, but who else was in there? Oh, the guy. They're out of Louisiana. He's strong. Ah! Kennedy, but anyway I don't know Rand. Paul was, wasn't he conspicuously absent and the whole thing I didn't see him sign on to anything with regard to that He's going to contest it. I don't know. Uh, all I know is that it went the wrong way now. Donald Trump has said, in fact that I pointed out that I posted on Facebook. Donald Trump has said he's going to, although he disagrees with the election. In fact, let's get the exact statement here. Well, I'm getting out. Tell you that I'm fair on extra on the edge. I'm gonna tell you exactly what happened yesterday in just a minute. I'm gonna lay it out for you, like other people are not, um There's a statement here. Damn Well, here we go. Don't This is Donald Trump talking, he says, even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election. The facts bear me out. Nevertheless, there will be an orderly transition on January 20th. I've always said Uh, we would continue our fight. To ensure that only legal votes are counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it's one of the beginning of our fight to make America great again. That's good stuff. That's good stuff. He's not going anywhere. Now. What's his name here? Ah, one of the guys that shouldn't even be in Congress any more needs to be primary dollars. Lindsey Graham. He's making some stupid statement here. He just wants it to be over. He just wants peace and quiet. It's really, really disgusting. What took place yesterday. Now let's look at what scared the senators. Yesterday, A number of people went to Washington D. C. It was kind of a trump rally coupled with we're here to contest the fraudulent election. Hey, they all show up. Take bus is writing cars posted all over Facebook. Hey, look at this sandwich I'm making in the car, things like that. They get there, and I don't know what the count was. How many people were there again? I don't know if I had to hazard a guess I said somewhere between 305 100,000 people I don't know. But anyway, uh There there and Donald Trump comes out, and he made one of the best speeches she's made to date post election. Because he had all the facts about what happened when the lecture was fraudulently throne, which it was 100%. And he he just laid it out. Now nobody's paying any attention to it, especially the people that could do something about it. Court system's not paying any attention to it at all. I want to go in one more detail, but I'm gonna tell you what if the bath the CliffsNotes version is that entire breach of Congress Was set up by Antifa and black lives matter. In fact, on zero hedge See, I was posted this on Facebook to I'll give you the headline. Why was the founder of Fire left Black Lives matter Group filming inside the Capitol. As police shot protester which was that that poor lady got shot. Air Force veteran Mother Mother 4 14 Year Air Force veteran shot dead. You're hearing nothing about that on the news that actually happened Now there's a bunch of just disgusting. But did this really happen with this? This is a setup. Now it really happened. But anyway, so that that's kind of the short version of what happened. But anyway, the back to Donald Trump Talking to the crowd starts talking about. He's gonna walk with them over to the Capitol building. So now, uh, that kind of puts him play a scenario whereby people are being invited. Let's watch Let's march to the capital. Nothing wrong with that. So they start for the capital start for the capital, and at that point You've not got Antifa totally mixed in Not just weren't trump gear, but also just they're wearing their antifa, uh, riot helmets and they've got the plexiglass shields that they use when they're confronting the police or anybody else. And so now they're breaking into the Capitol building. Then I'm going to the door through a tourist entrance or anything like that. They're not staying in the rope lines. Like many people were. Those with the Trump supporters know they're straight up breaching the building. And if you saw that the most telling was the guy with the aforementioned plexiglass shield busting windows out. Those aren't trump supporters. They weren't trump supporters. In fact, anybody that has half a brain would know that so that and Trump supporters did not go into the offices of elected officials and start putting their feet up on the desk and Jumping up on statues. No, no, no, no, no, no, that that those air, not trump supporters, and I'm not excusing everybody in the crowd because people do get caught up sometimes in the mob. See, never are. But the Trump supporters were more or less swept long in the crowd. Probably jostled in the building. Once they realized that this ain't right a medium to turn around and got out as quickly as they could. But all those people breaching the building, I mean, literally busting into the building. Taking, uh, bicycle rack, sir, and those things that used to cordon off the building and smashing into doors breaching loss That was an TIFA. So now our elected officials too. Reconvened at about eight o'clock last night. They went until what? Four in the morning. Whatever now, I don't think one. I didn't watch anything. An entirety, but I watched the first half hour or so not one of them got up and said and said anything about Hey, you know we were kicked out here earlier today. Bye. Antifa Pinson say that No. Uh, no. The whole thing was portrayed is if Donald Trump foam in it a riot and off his.
