"And we can't talk about that on Sunday morning football recap shows long so we have compassion. Yeah so a lot of ages mad. This is big as mess so big. Asthma is hourly feel. Sorry for anybody involved except a bit for Cabernet. Because I just feel like even if you disagree with his to me very basic humane point of view you still. He still should be on detained because there are people that did not want to call. People niggers are fucking. NFL team come on man. What the fuck is there can? Mb No argument against this man. Even if you think he should know what shirt. There is no argument that our here against this man being on the team. He's going to be on the team. Just be on the team and Blue Hill. Like what's up with that. I feel like they disrupted the troops. Okay well he's here. You can do him now like I'm not trying make everyone agree with me. I understand is America. You don't have to like the do. I don't like several people but they can doing job. What the fuck am I say? Right right all right speaking. Always keep a discuss GOI. Is this happened. Well 'cause we talked about this last week and these negative asked for him to come back and now he's back not just using it to tear them down at taken out of context attack Barack Obama so he spoke at this assists Second Obama Foundation summit at the Marriott Marquis Hotel Chicago November nineteen and he was talking about about a bunch of shit by the way but he was talking about Some of the some of the like liberal roll elite people in the Democratic Party that essentially say listen America is the most progressive values that we hold and NASA. Everybody wants and we went on that. We'll win everywhere I read. That's all everybody wants everywhere. As though he says we have a very accomplished very serious and passionate and smart people who have a history of public service and whoever emerges from the primary process. I will work my tail off to make sure they under the next president taught a room a few hundred of the parties. Big donors the top strategist gathered for a conference other Demain Democracy Alliance Group. The Room was populated by Warren leaning versions of the kind of people buying new that have recently been wearing out there loafers searching for savior candidate constantly friend about electability and seed in the national conversation it has borne the recent Late entries of Michael Bloomberg and Davao Patrick into the grace so maybe it was appropriate that it was here at the nearly three years of detachment from workaday politics that Obama signal for the first time a willingness to try to modulate. His party's debate. In this case to a less frantic the tenor dinner to those who get stressed about robust primaries he added fully embodying this new slightly exasperated adult in a row. I just have to remind you I had a very robos primary right. He started from the bottom yet. Obama remarks only aimed at donors and Chattanooga's he had a sterner than usual warning for the campaigns to well over the last year plus he has been sparring in sparring waiting weighing in on individual sparing. I'm sorry sparing Wayne in on individual primary flashpoints here. He cast himself as understanding but concern emissary who he perceives as political reality I mean what he perceives the political reality. This is still a country that is less revolutionary than it is interested in improvement. Come all the average American doesn't think we had to completely tear down. The system and remake Obama's tearing America's are conservative not an ideology but in temperament voters including Democrats are not driven by the save. US that are reflected certain left leaning twitter fees or activists wing of our Party. And that's the part that people shared on twitter right just that sentence and what do you all know the first easy as twenty eight people online. He doesn't want us to have levies and it'll be a conservative. Let me finish the centers for someone. Amihai haven't heard it yet and that's not a criticism of the activists Wayne. Their job is to poke and prod and text and inspire and motivate but the candidates. Today's job whoever that ends up being is to get elected so that's the context of look. These people people have a role as do the fucking people running for office Arrow the people that are pushing you to the left. They're pushing to the left for evening. But there's also this idea of having to win in a war in a country that has about forty something percent that are completely lately willing to vote for conservative Republican for racist. Even I keep telling people want to go back to that fucking Donald Trump shit. Hillary Clinton won I think about three million votes the popular election popular vote and everybody goes to be president. Pablo vote give her electric car. College absolutely agree with you. Cool no problem. That's not the reality but sure I agree with you. Here's the thing are we ignoring that. Only three million less people in the country support support. Donald Trump. Three million less people have the same fucking views devoted had the same fucking abuses donald trump anyway but vote over accountable views. Do you understand me fucking people. It is like this idea that you know oh up like it to me is like saying like what Donald Trump is doing. We just need that for liberal people and I'm like that that that might work for four years or whatever you know they come in and just kind of run roughshod and it'll mealy be overturned by all the people that didn't get energize because it doesn't matter if you govern better for them Braga Obama literally had unemployment numbers down ever all this shit down for these mother fuckers they. He didn't care he was black and he was getting too much his way and like he actually experienced that some of these candidates. They don't say the perfect thing for twitter. All the time are experiencing the other side of this. Yes Sir we want to treat them like they're just getting like they should only listen to us and that's the only people in the room. It's just not I true. You can't win with out more than just the most liberal people you that to convince them to be the most liberal people what can happen or at least temper some your shit. They're like okay. What are you not scared of work? Are you willing to at least let me try out to push she towards the thing that we need. That's all obamacare ended up being. It's not the end. All is not the be all is not the final results he even goes on on. Say He is even thinking about how the candidates have been talking about him on the trail. I think it is important for candidates to push past pass where I was able to achieve as the president. I wouldn't run the same campaign today in this environment as Iran in two thousand eight in part because we he made enough progress since two thousand eight a which. I'm very proud that it moved west possible so I don't want people to just revert to what safe I want them to push out and try more all right so so we got the affordable care. Act It was a really good starter home as I say I don't want people just standing pat because we still have millions of people who are uninsured. I don't take it as a criticism when people say. Hey that's great. Obama did what he did and now we WANNA do more. I hope so. That's the whole point. I think it is very important to offer all the candidates who are running at every level to pay some attention to where voters actually are and how they think about their lives and I don't think we should be deluded into thinking that the resistance certain approaches the things is simply because voters haven't heard about enough proposal and as soon as they hear a bold proposal that's going to activate them because you know what it turns out what people are cautious because they don't have a margin for error right like so when you are part of the reason that people feel a little less adventurous is because they don't always have room to be there's a lot of black people vote pragmatically Democrat is because we I have the least amount of fucking room you know. That's why you get ninety seven percent of black women foreman behind whoever the number one Democrat is at the end of the day because like I don't actually have room to do shit like flogging broker Bernie I'm writing for Jill Stein Jin lead the world burn trump. We'll be okay. We don't actually have a room to play which you play them. Games people die and so it's like people want to and this is one reason I can't fuck with a lot of Internet activism Shit They WanNa be cater cater to the most. They want to control all the narrative and they want their way or the highway but then they won't know no responsibility when you're like Yosso. The last election then went pretty bad and has taught me to do candidates everybody but you just said that we don't do everything your way. You're not gonNA vote Yup but if we lose that's still on Y'all what is that he do light where's the where's the fucking responsibility accountability. Hey I know I'll say it didn't matter. She lost trump the same two sides.

"I can't think of an analogy here. This is so stupid. Barack Hussein Obama has decided to take the gloves off. Barack Hussein Obama, obviously tired of seeing his wonderful presidency on rambled and ripped to shreds. So obama. Says the Donald Trump has mommy issues, and this is part of what makes Trump incapable of fixing the nation's problems while I thought Trump was doing bang-up job fixing the nation's problems, particularly on matters of the economy and he's doing his damnedest to fix our immigration problems. But people like Obama and his judges that he appointed are standing in the way. This is a purposeful attack. On what the United States of America was founded to be Donald Trump is there's nobody else walks. Donald Trump is the only person in Washington willing to stand up against all this tide and try to stop it. So they've got every long knife out every gun metaphorically. They have pointed at him. And in each one of these cities somebody in the local media would want to do an interview with the local newspaper, or in some cases, local television. "Show on talk radio five sixty. Ks. Look we're gonna get to all of it today. We're going to get to the caravan. We're gonna come. Cantor. Emails and the caravan and the the judge's order, and and all of this. It's just that. I frankly, I'm getting fed up with with following the daily narrative of the media reacting everything the media does and breathlessly reacting to adore discussing it because frankly, there's much more going on out there than just what the media's reporting, and I I alluded to this a bit yesterday. We've got this twenty four hour news cycle that has developed now a soap opera formula for the presentation of what everybody calls news every day. But it isn't. I mean, how long would it really take to tell everybody? What happened? In any given frame timeframe. What happened in the last twenty four hours? How long would it take to actually just report that you could probably do it in under a half hour when we were all growing up the nightly newscasts were half hour meeting eighteen minutes. Now, I'm not trying to say that they reported everything. They of course, didn't what they left out was as important as what they decided to cover. But the point is most of what you see under the banner of news, isn't news. It's a formula laic discussion analysis manipulation mind control, kind of thing and mind control. Let me take that back. That's that's what happens. I don't think. It's one of the purposes it's just the the manipulation of the viewer to keep in tune up with nothing ever. Get solved. Instead after each segment that's good TV that didn't work on TV. Let's not hit that person back. Maybe we don't need to do that segment. It's the basis is not what can we teach people? What can we inform people? How can people end up learning? Thanks today. It's a whole different criteria. I just I don't want to be a prisoner to it. Any longer because there's all kinds of stuff out there. Like this story from eastern Michigan university. I know you people think I'm making this up. I am not leaders at eastern Michigan university have decided to cancel the production of the vagina monologues because it's discriminatory. Because now not all women have the giants the women's resource center at eastern Michigan university, put the kabosh on the vagina monologues since it caters. Only two women who have the physical anatomy that accompanies the female sex. This is all in the Ann Arbor news. Now, the decision came after the resource center conducted a survey asking respondents about the vagina monologues those opposed to the drama. So they were concerned about the fact that production excludes some women, namely, those who don't have a giant is what in the name of Sam hill is happening to this culture. Do not these women without vaginas. Don't. They secretly want one. Isn't that the point? So why is the vagina monologues discriminatory because not all women have Jonah's because even those who don't. Want one or pretend that they have one or think that one's in there somewhere if it could just be found by Dr. Yeah, that's true. And even some of them there have gotten rid of one. With the a dicta- me procedure that was popularized out in San Francisco. I can't think of an analogy here. This is so stupid. Barack Hussein Obama has decided to take the gloves off. Barack Hussein Obama, obviously tired of seeing his wonderful presidency on raveled and ripped to shreds. So obama. "At nine on Washington's mall. AL Washington comes to. Folks, we're gonna get to all of it today. We're going to get to the caravan. We're gonna come Kanter emails and the caravan and the judge's order and all of this. It's just it. I frankly, I'm getting fed up with with following the daily narrative of the media reacting. The media does and breathlessly reacting to adore discussing it because frankly, there's much more going on out there than just what the media's reporting, and I I alluded to this a bit yesterday. We've got this twenty four hour newest cycle that has developed now a soap opera formula for the presentation of what everybody calls news every day. But it isn't. I mean, how long would it really take to tell everybody? What happened? In any given frame timeframe, what happened in the last twenty four hours, a long, would it take to actually just report that it could probably do it in under a half hour when we were all growing up the nightly newscasts were half hour meeting eighteen minutes now not trying to say that they reported everything. They of course, didn't what they left out was as important as what they decided to cover. But the point is most of what you see under the banner of news isn't news as a formulaic discussion analysis, manipulation mind control, kind of thing mind, control. Let me take that back. That's that's what happens. I don't think. It's one of the purposes it's just the the manipulation of the viewer to keep in tune up and nothing ever gets solved. Instead after each segment that's good TV that didn't work on TV at that person. Back. Maybe we don't need to do that segment. It's the basis is not what can we teach people? What can we inform people? How could people end up learning? Thanks today. It's a whole different criteria. I just I don't want to be a prisoner to it. Any longer because there's all kinds of stuff out there. Like this story from eastern Michigan university. I know you people think I'm making this up. I am not leaders at eastern Michigan university have decided to cancel the production of the vagina monologues because it's discriminatory. Because now not all women have vaginas. The women's resource center at eastern Michigan university, put the kabosh on the vagina monologues since it. Caters? Only two women who have the physical anatomy that accompanies the female sex is all in the Ann Arbor news. Now, the decision came after the resource center conducted a survey asking respondents about the vagina monologues those opposed to the drama. So they were concerned about the fact that production excludes some women, namely, those who don't have a China's what in the name of Sam hill is happening to this culture. With the add a dicta- me procedure that was popularized out in San Francisco. I can't think of an analogy here. This is so stupid. Barack Hussein Obama has decided to take the gloves off. Barack Hussein Obama, obviously tired of seeing his wonderful presidency on rabble and ripped to shreds. So over Bama. Says the Donald Trump has mommy issues, and this is part of what makes Trump incapable of fixing the nation's problems. I thought Trump was doing a bang-up job fixing the nation's problems, particularly on matters of the economy and he's doing his damnedest to fix our immigration problems. But people like Obama and his judges. He appointed are standing in the way. This is a purposeful attack. On what the United States of America was founded to be Donald Trump is there's nobody else walks. Donald Trump is the only person in Washington willing to stand up against all this tide and try to stop it. So they've got every long knife out every gun metaphorically. They have pointed at him. And now they've unleashed. Obama. Trump has mommy issues. Trump was the subject of the talk Obama gave at the Obama foundation summit. Which was held at the Marriott Marquis hotel in Chicago is Monday. And Obama said the world badly needs remaking. And he said that Trump is confused. An angry racist harboring hate and has mommy issues. Now, this hate business. You know, I. This is something that I've recoil against this is a favored leftist label and talking point that is designed to shut up any opposition. I remember when I was first starting out with this program late nineteen Eighty-nine, and it was growing, and I was getting new stations in every city, and I would go to these cities and do a Trump rally doing knowledge, the new affiliate and so forth. And in each one of these cities somebody in the local media would wanna do an interview with the local newspaper, or in some cases, local television. And remember, it's all this is new to me, I've never been on a success track before other than the three years prior that I was in Sacramento. So I had never really been a target of anything. I because I hadn't I hadn't succeeded. I mean, I was doing okay was not an acknowledged failure. But I I hadn't succeeded to the degree. I wanted to or to the that anybody else would. Call what was happening to me success? But then it did it started to happen. Some sixteen seventeen years after is started in radio maybe longer than that. And I remember being interviewed by somebody at the Los Angeles Times when we got our Los Angeles affiliate, and she said, why all the hate. I what why why do you harbor so much hate don't hate anybody. What do you mean hate? Well, I hear what you say about women and I- feminism. And I hear what you say about about African you call that hate have we gotten to the point where any disagreement on policy. Is the result of hate? Yes. You conservatives. You just hate everything. "They arrested forty one striking hotel workers during a rowdy protests that caused traffic gridlock in the downtown area. Hundreds of angry hotel workers sat down on the street and block traffic outside the Marriott Marquis hotel during the union worker rally last evening. One protester telling KPI x five the hotel workers. Simply cannot make ends meet living in one of the most expensive areas in the country have gone up every year. My rent goes up. It goes up and up to the point you really air like paying living paycheck to paycheck pretty much. I mean, I need assistance debate hotel workers have been on strike for more than a week demanding higher wages and better job security. And you study confirms what many bay area workers already know their paychecks. Do not go as far as they used to ask KCBS Bigler reports many service workers actually are making less than they did too. Decades ago adjusted for inflation and the bay area's high cost of living. The study found the wages and nine out of ten jobs today are lower than they were twenty years ago in one thousand nine hundred five that includes everyone from janitors to firefighters. And even some tech workers. Chris Benner sociology professor at UC. Santa Cruz says the region's economic boom has mostly benefited tech companies and the top ten percent of wage earners. There's no silver bullet here. Dr Benner says possible solutions include raising the minimum wage and improving representation for service workers requires companies like I tech companies to take greater responsibility for contracted workers and their supply chain to try and raise the wages of the janitors and security cards and cafeteria workers who might not be direct employees of a high tech firms, but in which the high tech firms depend on for their operations. The study was funded by the UC Berkeley labor center in the Silicon Valley. Bureau. KCBS Doug, sovereign says the bleak images seen around the world are having an impact. Even though the city is once again on pace to shatter its record for visitors. The San Francisco travel association projects over twenty six million visitors this year breaking last year's record. This'll be the ninth straight year of record tourism in two thousand nineteen looks even stronger says association president and CEO Joe della Sandro, but that's because of bigger conventions at the newly expanded Mosconi center, which opens in January he warns those numbers could crater if visitors keep encountering homeless addicts shooting up on streets stained with feces, we can't get this under control soon. I think we have a real challenge ahead long-term for San Francisco in tourism is San Francisco's most important industry at Dallas. Sandra says he hears from convention planners, working years ahead that people are becoming uneasy about visiting the city. He does think that new measures by mayor London breeding programs led by neighborhood and business groups are starting to make a difference. We're doing everything that we can as a as an association like ours. The bottom line is is every step that we take to improve the streets of San Francisco will be a benefit everybody in benefit to not only people who live here and people who visit. But also people who come in here daily work. We want to make sure that the streets of San Francisco or something that we can be proud of Doug, sovereign key CBS just ahead on KCBS. "It's six a five at the bay area's news station KCBS little bit cooler in some spots around the bay today, then we warm up again tomorrow. Good morning. I'm John Bristow. Here's what's happening. San francisco. Police say the arrested forty one striking hotel workers during rowdy protests that caused traffic gridlock in the downtown area. Police say hundreds of angry workers sat down in the street and blocked traffic outside the Marriott Marquis hotel during a worker rally last evening. One protester telling KPI x five the demonstration was designed to send a clear message to hotel management. They have a lot of, you know, well, then we're just fighting for our rights. They wanna cut our benefits you we need job protection hotel workers have now been on strike for more than a week. A new study meantime, finds it nearly nine hundred ten jobs in Silicon Valley actually pay less than they did twenty years ago adjusted for inflation as KCBS has Matt Bigler reports the study paid for by lar labor groups calls on high tech companies to do more for the workers who may not be intact. We're talking about janitors security guards restaurant workers. And baristas. The study finds those workers are making less today than they did two decades ago after paychecks are adjusted for inflation. But Dr Chris Benner, associate professor at UC Santa Cruz says the crazy high cost of living in the bay area is not just affecting service jobs, firefighters, teachers, most public sector workers and even many of the people working directly in the high tech industry. Vendor? Says all this comes as the region continues to experience an economic boom mostly going to corporations and the top ten percent of wage earners. There's no silver bullet that's going to solve these problems. But there's a range of potential solutions, including increase in the minimum wage improving representation for workers in and workplaces an industries to be able to bargain higher wages. The study was paid for by the UC Berkeley labor center in the Silicon Valley bureau, Matt Bigler KCBS and back to the city of San Francisco, which is still attracting tourists in record numbers. KCBS? Reporter Doug soften reports. Tourist boom happens despite negative national media coverage of the city's homeless, but the big question is can that last? We've all heard stories of visitors shocked by what they see on the streets of San Francisco and vowing never to come back. But it looks like two thousand eighteen will be the ninth year in a row to break. The record for Taurus here with over twenty six million and twenty one thousand nine looks to be even stronger. Thanks to the latest expansion of Mosconi center says Joe de LA Sandro president and CEO of the San Francisco travel association. We've got the newest the most up to date the most state of the art convention center in the United States. San Francisco's always been a very positive in a very popular place to have conventions. And I think with the brand new Mosconi center, it's it's going to kind of reestablish itself. As a as a place, I go to city for convention, but Dallas Sandra says those booking conferences far into the future. Are having second thoughts about San Francisco. We talked to visitors who come here. It's one of the top concerns that they have the homelessness deserted streets, and in the streets activities. So we feel that although we're doing very well. Right now if the situation continues without improvement. We're going to hurt in the future significantly, which is why the association is working with neighborhood and business groups and city hall to support initiatives to house the homeless and address substance abuse and mental illness, Doug, sovereign KCBS. Just ahead on KCBS. Jeffrey Schaub the cause of the fire that destroyed huge areas of Santa Rosa hasn't been released to the public yet. KCBS news time six oh. Eight tenths. We tackle the traffic.
