"Again I don't really care about their draft picks after the first that being Jaylen reader the TCU receiver because he'll start they also brought in a top corner Darius slay and they brought in a sneaky wide receiver marquise Goodwin from San Francisco he's not only one but he's a sneaky good wide receiver who can be your three Philadelphia at five number four New Orleans Saints were a very good football team that brought in a manual standards in Melbourne Malcolm Jenkins receiver safety respectively two starters to total adult grown ups love them then they went out and got Zach Vaughn linebacker from Wisconsin a former high school quarterback who turns into a tackling machine for the badgers and Cesar Ruiz a better pass blocking and run blocking center from Michigan but he should start number three San Francisco forty Niners got rid of deforest Buckner in a trade in the then they go out and get Jayvon Kinlaw defensive tackle to replace him also add a Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams to Kyle Shanahan knows from DC Brandon are you okay a wide receiver and they lost Emmanuel Sanders they bring in an explosive receiver it looks like to me San Francisco is is no worse off than last year I think Trent Williams if he's healthy is probably right now an upgrade at left tackle over an older Joe Staley number two Kansas city they didn't have to make a bunch of moose they bring back twenty twenty two starters so there's the the Superbowl champs don't have a lot of spaces they did upgrade at running back getting L. issues Clyde Edwards hello there who is a excellent pass catching running backs perfect for any resistance.
Big trades coming including Trent Williams
"A couple of big trade seven time Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams goes from the residents of the forty Niners in exchange repair picks at the forty Niners said receiver marquise Goodwin to the eagles the best players according to ESPN to go undrafted or Trey Adams of hunter Brian out of Washington at liberty hill from Michigan the patriots pass on every quarterback in the draft and that leaves Jarrett Stidham as next season's likely successor to Tom Brady and coach bill Belichick on Saddam and veteran Brian Hoyer lawyers and we run a couple times and I think you know he certainly gives a very small level and and you know we have our confidence in him and hello and a good year last year improved law and we'll see where that takes him so that's sports stroll strewn in BC news

"Their home to yours the team at rocket mortgage is with you the last thing you said before we took our last break boomer was wow John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan don't sit around and do nothing do they with all the activity that they have going on they just traded for Trent Williams earlier in the day and now in the last couple of minutes they have made a nother deal involved involving a current player and that is a marquise Goodwin who we knew was on the block of wide receiver for the forty Niners and they have traded him to the eagles so marquise Goodwin all the speediest tantalizing when he is on he's a guy that you feel like it's always open down the field he's often injured but that's one of those boomer boss types of trades but the eagles adding more talent and speed to the wide receiver position with that particular deal probably a good trade for both teams I would imagine with Trent Williams coming over to the forty Niners I've I'm going to believe that he's going to want more money and you know the this is one of the reasons why they had to trade to force Procter and that's why they drafted your body can log to replace him they're moving money around moving players in and out and I think that's exactly what they're probably doing trying to make since our space from for new Trent Williams deal even with Joe Staley retiring so it's good news I mean that that that the thing about there's the forty Niners is that their defense is still going to be probably the first or second ranked defense in the NFL Jimmy grapple I thought had a really solid year for them and I know everybody is talking about you know he didn't really do much in the playoffs he didn't have to do much when they played at home and had that one pass that he just messed with Emmanuel Sanders in the Superbowl or maybe they would've been Super Bowl champion so I think that they are a solid team this is a of really I mean that the two together are better than I thought they were going to be when they put them together what was it three years ago yeah I think it's almost like that secures may I begin both secure deals right right and because nobody wanted to go there because it was a mess and these two have gone there John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan and I've cleaned up that mess now they they they've made a lot of trades they have a lot of high draft picks that they put on the defensive line that ultimately propelled them I think to the Super Bowl but there we are gonna deal and they are they they never sits still yeah this will be their fourth season together I believe so the first two years were really bad in the second year was supposed to be a hell of a lot better but than Garoppolo's ends up getting hurt of course and then last year of course we we know exactly how it went down with that team win the NFC championship and going on to I have a lead late in the Super Bowl on of course it didn't work out for them but yet they continue to build and build and build and I think that most niner fans after really trust what that brain trust is doing out there they are as you mentioned wheeling and dealing again John in New Jersey wants to talk about those Niners going on John hi first of all I'm a longtime fan of the friend I actually won a contest my wife got me I actually got an autographed ball from Hoover.

"Sanders but it just doesn't seem like that's something the forty Niners are trying hard to do right now and I agree with you they need a better presence in Trent Taylor still around after five surgeries on his foot it's hard to expect anything from him it's hard to expect anything from second year guy given heard is essentially a rookie next year again after his back injury and and it some people said they don't even know if he is expected to play again if that might be it for him after his non rookie year you have marquise Goodwin who still in house that publicly Kyle Shanahan said that they were going to try to trade which is something you never hear somebody say oh that guy yeah we're gonna try to trade him I just never happened or did it's hard to say that you can be confident in any player right now in the forty Niners roster they have a huge role aside from Deebo Samuel side from the guy who is standard and a second round level today in kindergarten and I think the forty Niners would much prefer to have born as the third or fourth wide receiver Brian you mentioned the restructuring of Jerick McKinnon let's break this down for just a second what you think it means here's why I ask also know that Matt Breida was given a second round tender today I don't think anybody's going to sign Matt Breida and give up a second round draft picks of the forty Niners are saying yes we still want me cannon yes we still want breed out obviously most third was a breakout Jeff Wilson junior has a spot on this team this is all a lot of running backs so it am I crazy to read the tea leaves here the Tevin Coleman might be in a tough spot I think potentially he could be in a tough spot and it would have to be that the forty Niners really need that four million dollars or so that they would save in cutting Devin Coleman and that's really the only reason because right now I think housing and still believes as he did last year that he's his number one running back and he treated him as the starter even though it was more of a complete a committee situation in the forty Niners backfield but I still think the Palestinian really loves having Coleman and that's why we signed him last offseason and that's why he was the starter in most of the games last year that's one of the obvious places I think you could find some catch our recap relief if you felt good about the rest of the running backs because demand is also said that it was really important that the forty Niners have had four running backs because of the attrition at the position and how often those players get hurt and needing a collection of those players and right now I don't think much like we talked about some of the wide receivers I don't think you can really expect anything out of your mechanic yeah I mean even with that restructured that buys him some time and we'll see what we can look like in training camp but I'm the missing two years with an ACL and the complications after that I don't think you can expect to see the dynamic player of the Palestinian but he was signing two years ago Brian wonderful stuff always as you know we love having you on thank you Sir absolutely that Margarita B. on your doorstep but about three hours okay I think that that is going to be worth the trip traffic is light as you know so I'm I I it is a perfect way to want to end the show thank you Sir you bet anytime hi there because Brian peacock locked on forty Niners locked on NFL and all were kidding he's not going to leave his house ever again so just just relax choose your favorite date all set ready to go the voting is complete we'll find out here once we authenticate all those votes what we're gonna be talking about eight o'clock it's either Caliendo Twitter Jason Witten the trader Joe's line or Tommy pfam and the latest after Harding park's PGA championship was officially postponed earlier today I'll let you know what the PGA tour is saying about that around the corner as well mark within the sports later this is mark Willard on KNBR one oh four five and six ABC's sports leader available now.

"Yang and then what do they do with marquise Goodwin another talking like they want to trade him I can't imagine anybody trading for marquise Goodwin I think you have to release them it is you know like everybody likes him and I feel bad for what has happened forum and and all these kind of things but even when he was playing he was ineffective and he makes too much money decide you just can't keep him around he he's not able it wasn't part of the plan down the stretch he wasn't good before that he had one good stretch will wear it like a couple years ago where they give the contract really great but since then he's been basically nothing he's been injured and again the the off the field stuff I feel horrible for the guy but it's it's a business deal and I I can't see him being around if they can't move hello major issue I I had with him was Sam wanted to go to the Olympics in the long jump yet again but there may there may not be a big change this year right so but how does it get better at his craft would be the question and I was so I just I think this offseason also I think we're looking at twenty eleven all over again but chime we get through this virus I think we're in a July yeah we're going right into training camp almost I do think there is B. "Leader over to stand over there the Niners placed brother marquees more Kyushu brother good one on injured reserve marquise Goodwin was or has been unable to get on the field for a long long time so this really comes as no surprise and as we were just talking about during the break this sure looks like the end of March he's good wins career with the San Francisco forty Niners sure does see the lady them on the books next year guys for four point five million there's no chance they're gonna pay him four point five million so use good acquisition kinda re can lose career he definitely achieved more with the Niners they didn't buffalo but then we also saw what buffalo experience which is there's drops there's no sort of injuries thurs and then of course he said I mean not a no fault zone and don't mistake me when I say this actually no fault of his own but he's had a lot of tragedy in his life and that has impacted his football career to some degree so I can get on the field and the Niners got better at wide receiver when they got divorced Samuel they got better wide receiver when Emmanuel Sanders came around and obviously you know George Carol is is doing his thing so I mean hell we all know how it is spent two can make it on the field playing service whatever it is the they don't see any use for it you can't make the call about you can make the call to the tub as the old saying what's the best ability Bob Myers availability availability availability my favorite things of all time best ability is availability and that is true in it is what when healthy Nelson there I know we had to we obviously have bigger things are more important things to talk about round these parts when it comes to football specifically the Niners if you guys got a big laugh as I have out of the new patriots cheating scandal no we will know where we were just doing a feature on a scale that even the biggest page referred to preachers fans don't know don't care about and we just happen to be a game of an upcoming opponent no no no this is all above board they are doing nothing honest I can't believe and it's funny because of the pager it's it's the right but I the patriots are that desperate they're not that desperate or that stupid I wouldn't think I'm doing the hubris would have to be like dad at all times it's it's not desperation is that stupidity yeah but I guess that you can add bangles that one way in I can't imagine the patriots even think they need to do that against the bangles they did against the jets and they need to do to get those guys as far as they're concerned anybody can get it damage could be got if an advantage can be gotten there down for more but I will I don't I'm not claiming to know have any inner workings her you know I I you know I've been doing radio for far longer than I ever did was involved in professional football when I was in the Canadian Football League we had multiple guys in our coaches booth who would have binoculars fixed on the sideline on the the backup quarterback the see if he was down there the head coach if you were a play caller we had guys who could read lips we had people who were keenly aware of what signs they'd used if they were using cards with those cards designated what they meant so this this effort to try to decode what your opponent is doing signal wise is a constant Ross and I'm not privy I do the Niners pre and post they don't let me into their room with their scouts and their coaches during the game but I bet you a dollar to a dime they have somebody in there with binoculars who's focused on the other side wine I think that's you know all this talk about well the Niners wanted to be on this side one it was supposed they were supposed to be on the sideline and Harbaugh didn't want that sidelined I don't know if I buy that's the press box is on the is on the other side you have a much better look from the press box side across the field at your opponents you know trying to signal things in then you would if they were on your side of the field I think that was part of it is well I Die dad wouldn't shock me at all this like baseball you're trying to still signs and have no problem with that find a videotape and stuff that's where gets a which is what the patriots have been doing they haven't got caught doing I stood on by the bangles it's okay I can't buy the bangles a I mean did she my god I know your dad died they just wasn't always bagels in the jets well many years ago was a jets as a number of years ago named Jenny was they're they're actually halfway decent with them and there are there are other than one win team in god it should be the bangles you have no chance whatsoever and it did any who the next opponent that opponent is dangerous what do we need to do to get an advantage on them this is my thing with the patriots they got priors there prior I have a hard time believing that old fool me once shame on you one may you can link you got priors why is it always very right what is it citing the writers for goodness sakes why is it always VM they got priors this I'm I'm can answer that I am always a first round draft choice because of this it would have won five super bowls so maybe it's a fake maybe it's a good trade it's a great well using satellite they they've they've they've won all those super bowls did they've won because bill takes a great coach for a variety of reasons many of them above board some of them not so much great players run organization however you could clearly tell that he and by extension the patriots organization what advantage can we get it we could get that advantage through means that are the Farias the damn it we got to do what we gotta do why is it always vamp they're looking at me in the no days off and looking for every potential in a you know incremental advantage I wouldn't put it past them I really wouldn't I manage just I I wouldn't I mean Belichick says were competitive and we'll try to be competitive in every area this was during a conference call with the Cincinnati media this morning he's a bit we don't knowingly intentionally want to do anything that's across the line but since that's that happen the two courses are but side gate I'd say we've tried to keep a good distance behind the line and not maybe take it as far as we would might have in the past but it's never really fundamentally change there here's what's interesting about what you just read how often do we get detailed thought for answers that explains something from bill Belichick Circe or soldiers substantive answers of any kind from him it's pretty rare but yet and that's in since he felt like he wanted I'm a you got it right there in the beginning matter basis the patriots according the pats they had an advance scout in the press box for the bangles twenty seven twenty seven nineteen loss to the Browns and he was being filmed for a series on employees this feature on the team's website and the bangles Tina police spotted new England's videographer filming Cincinnati sidelined for the entire first quarter a source cold told ESPN so well by the way during the first Spygate investigation of this is from other Twitter account of John breech I don't know who John is but just want to correct your tribute this bit of information to him there is wide investigation the NFL founded the patriots had excuses ready in case an advance scout got caught filming another team one of the excuses tell them you need the footage for a team show tell them you're filming quarterbacks or kickers or footage for the team show just so so saying put it this way I'm still going now but I bet on by the way folks that's a lot of stuff if and then the value of that would have present lives covered up the giants making moves today interesting moves very will tell you about that in just a second you're on the toll bridge Krueger and Brookshire sucks he came on KNBR one oh four five and "But then, you know, he came back to earth because you're regress to who you are. And he regress back to Goodall CJ beat hard a guy who's most notable trait is toughness. And I think we should talk about in the second where the Niners motives should actually be. Because I think it's a really interesting question. How you do that within the framework of building strong culture is is an interesting one. But but to just lay out a couple of facts here there are ways to measure the success of a team in the success coach Pacific civically, one of the ways that we do that at PF is we try to do is want to say how much better is offense or do this freak meters for defense as well. But here we'll talk about offense. How much better is an offense than what we expect that offense to gener-. Great. So what I mean by that is we can use PF grade for every single player, obviously. 'cause we great every player on every play and we can use mathematical techniques to predict what that set of players with their. Yes, specific skills or lack thereof to produce on each play. And then what we can say. Okay. Well, how well did this team actually do right, and what will attribute the excess or lack of access or deficit? I guess you'd say we attribute that to the coach. Right. So if you have some sort of average team, and let's say you'd expect from them zero expected points added per play, and I think I've explained before, but for those people who are listening that are new expected points added basically contextualized is what happens on the given play. So for example, gaining five yards on third. Four would be worth more than gaining five yards on third fifteen. It's cetera. So it's a very good measure of how well did they offense perform and so if that that offense that we expect to gain zero expected yards for play gains? You You know? know, a half an expected point on a play or over the course of a season of incredible. And that would be attributed to the coach is that kind of makes sense makes absolute sense. I think the first question that jumps to my mind is how do you prevent this kind of feedback loop in the actual calculation of the score where the players are performing a little bit better because of the positions in which a coach's putting them in. I'm thinking of someone like Marquise Goodwin where you could make the argument that I don't think this is true. But you could make the argument that markets go in as a product of the Shanahan system. He's not actually any better or worse than he wasn't buffalo. But he is he's a little better because of the types of routes for the way he's utilized and that is coaching. So kind of what you would expect from offense. They're great is their grades are going to be just a tad inflated because of the positive situations in which they're put in. And system fit in whatnot. So one of the things or is that something that's already addressed in the way, you calculate that score. You know? So that that's one of the nice things about math. Is that it will it will say it won't over exaggerate certain things. Right. It'll actually do it'll tend to do the opposite. We want it to be a little more conservative little more general, right? What to fit the general case in sort of sorta reach these outliers. So even if you are a good team, right? Let's say you have some receivers are spectacular receivers at trying to think of a good example here, but say the Detroit Lions, for example, right there receivers are really really good. And they've sort of been helped by the fact that they actually have to be really really good to generates value. Because Matt Stafford at least last season was sort of a below average quarterback in terms of accuracy. So they had a lot of opportunities to show off their skills. Right..

"He had backed back weeks last year, seven for one hundred and five and a touchdown, followed that up with nine for one hundred and fifty seven. So yes, Germain curse is a guy that can get it done on the field. I don't really, you know, love the the situation, rookie quarterback all that. But I mean, Donald's been able to get it done enough. I agree. That curse would be the guy if I need a start that'd be going after yeah, he's, he instantly becomes a wide receiver three to me, which is a guy that should be started. Yeah. Those two games you reference. He had ten and eleven targets. I mean, he at least has. Performed to that level. You're not wondering if it's possible. He's by far my favorite. Do you look at prior as well because he's banged up and because the new laws going to miss time five for fifty, seven and one last week, I don't know. I think you have to take your shot on who the guy is going to be and I'm gonna take the shot that it's going to be drinkers and by the guy, I mean targets. Yes, that's all I care about. Yes. Robbie Anderson is the type that he, he could have three targets and have the best game, but I would rather have the Quincy new role which is now Germain curses. All right. And then we talked to a Marquise Goodwin. Would you sign cursor Goodwin now I'm curse firmly in the curse category because I want those targets lean Jimmy curses well, but but really it's tough man. So they play the Los Angeles Rams. They being the San Francisco forty Niners Markey's Goodwin. And if you've seen what Marcus Peters has been doing for his opponents. Not doing for his. He's just been real kind and giving them touchdowns and yards and all sorts of stuff. Philanthropic Goodwin is a good one is head of the year is for he did on the radio. You the man of the year award donating touchdown main of the year. So I think I would lean Goodwin there because I Jin generally provide receivers. I'm looking at a week. I'm not looking at who I'd still rather play curse against Minnesota. Maybe. Halfon. So he's going to be a little bit harder to pick up anyways, curse promises available. Yeah, that's fair. I one of the guys that I was looking at this past week. I didn't like a couple wide receiver match ups, and he's in our list today and in the waiver wire pickups is Christian. Kirk knows wide receiver I thought about string streaming and last week he was in the same category in my mind, as Chester Rogers was in Indianapolis cardinals white out rookie Christian Kirk last week, six for seventy seven on seven targets. What I like about Kirk is a few things. One. He has the best report with Rosen of any wide receiver on the team, including Larry FitzGerald. He's just spent more time with him. He's the future of the cardinal franchise with rose in the other part, I really like is unlike Larry, current, Larry Kirk has game breaking ability. He can take slant route to the house. He can get over the top of the defense. And so because you mix and match like favorite target with that, look there Thursday night owing a game of the year. There are came in the year on cardinals and Denver Broncos. Enjoy your primetime. Thursday night football, didn't you say that congrats America. You got your Thursday back. Yeah, you don't nothing to watch here. There are a number of, I mean, you know, if you have a Tyler Lockett or ju ju or Antonio Brown on these guys on by this week, Doug Baldwin. There's there's a significant amount of players on by you may need to stream a wideout. I don't think you. I think Chris Kirk is in that category. Denver's defense has been bad to past four weeks. Christian Kirk is adding averaging. Yeah, six and a half targets five receptions and seventy yards for four weeks. He's, he's absolutely getting a dunk. Yeah, there's a couple other guys that I look at wide receiver that I'm still excited about that if I've got those buys, I'd like to pick up the two that stand out to me are Taylor Gabriel and Godwin..

"This'll be a match up to watch though with Kitto because you'll probably see Dez king mashed up on kindle sometime on Sunday. And that's gonna be a dogfight former hawkeye's their same better too. But George kit over does king is gonna be a fun match up, but what the forty Niners might do and where they'll have an advantage is when they strike a defense out and go three wide basically run Dante Pettis their rookie in the slot. Pettus was a forty nine or second round pick out of Washington. He runs the second most yards per route ran out of the slot. Meaning when they bring three wide receivers. And does king is on the field. He's going to have to run with Pettus and run with him downfield which isn't a very favourable matchup for the chargers. Plus wind is running with Pettus. That means a linebacker is going to be matched up on George kill their biggest receding weapon Dante Pettis snap scale back last week. But when he's been on the field, he's been fairly quiet outside of a very, very impressive touched on passing as Minnesota and even last week against the chiefs. He went without a catch. So the rookie has made a ton noise this season, the literal track star Marquise Goodwin went down with a quad injury in week. One came back against the chiefs last week. I mean foreigners to receivers who can stretch the field in Goodwin Pettus and Beth isn't afraid to try them do by talked about a little bit earlier. This is another matchup where the chargers secondary's going to have to respect the speed of Goodwin Pettus no matter who's back there at quarterback. He may not be very accurate or very good, but he's not afraid to let it go. So he will test those corners and DB's, and I'm sure they're going to try to. Good impedance vertical on Sunday. Now, in terms of the forty Niners wide receivers, peer are sewn is more of a possession receiver in the charters. DB's actually do pretty good with physical receiver. So that shouldn't be too much of an issue. They also mix in Trent Taylor who's another slot guy, the match up to watch the tide and George kill though, especially in the middle of the field and how Kaiser white does this week with him because he struggled last week kind of went invisible week. Three gonna have an important match up against the four Niners biggest receiving weapon and George kindle, and then they got to figure out how these DB's are going to try to contain the speed of Markey's Goodwin in Dante Pettus because both those guys can run. So let's move on the other side of the ball is talking about defense. The headline from this unit is the big offseason acquisition of Richard Sherman. He's out with a cat strain and he'll be silent for two to three weeks and will not be out there Sunday against the chargers. But first, let's talk about the strength of the forty Niners and they're delaying the marquee names are deforest Buckner Eric Armstead, Solomon, Thomas all former first round. Picks charger fans, no Buckner Thomas name because they were possible targets for the chargers in the draft. So luckily they went with joy both over to force Buckner, but Buckner Armstead Solomon Thomas the big bodies on the defensive line. Buckner really is underrated though I do have to say, I mean, Joey Bosa. Obviously a special player. Buckner is really underrated as deteriorate offender specialist a pass rusher. He plays like an dresser with the body of three tech charters have their hands full in the interior. Again, this week. Last week is the Rams in Aaron, Donald and Adama consume this week to force Buckner next Bucknor's, Earl Mitchell who's more of a run stopper then a pass rush on the interior. But the ends are Solomon Thomas and Eric Armstead. Now, Thomas was up and down. Last season is kind of off to a slow start this year. Thomas has two total tackles and three games being on the field half the time while the Ford Anderson base defence forty Niners base defense about fifty percent of the time. And that's Thomas is role. In base what's pop to me in the first three games that I watched this year is Thomas doesn't really have a counter. The first three games of alignment kind of gets a hand on him. He's just watch for that play. If he can get by, you can do damage, but you know, if offense of lime in can basically get a hold of him, he's not going anywhere..

"He looks competent. He says he's strong. Well, here's what looks said about the injury and the recovery. Remember, why is I actually feel very good and strong. I shoulder felt alive. I was. I was I was a little happier with with where the ball went. When I threw it. You know, my, I felt like I felt like I had a little more of a sense. Okay. All I want to back shoulder this to Ryan on on the sidelines. Okay, good at ended up where I wanted to sort of things like that. So so I, I keep feeling and seeing improvement in keep working at it, but I was keep it going. Well, you can tell look, he's got as many questions as the rest of us. Do. He doesn't know exactly how that shoulder is gonna react. He doesn't know how mentally he's gonna feel. He looked almost giddy when talking about how good he felt, which is a very good sign. So I'll say this on overreaction Monday. Andrew luck is back to his old self free season. Anyway, Dan, we'll just go down the line. I say it's an overreaction. Every single sign is encouraging and points to him being back to his old self. But Ed looks old self was pretty awesome. Is was a guy that could that could just about single-handedly carry a substandard colts roster to an eleven win season in division title. So if he's that, then great, then they deserve to be listed among the contenders in very, very tough division. But we'll see when when the when the real game start, but so far so great and I think it would be very nice if the answer turned out to be. I think we all do Damian to Museau reaction. Louis kind of alluded to it. I need to see you push the ball down the field, all this check down stuff that looks like going on. That's all great and everything. But I'll know when it's the real Angela when I'm seeing them, Chuck it down the field a little bit. And plus the real Angela was caring, the Indianapolis Colts, two division title AFC championship game. So it's overreact just started with that. The bar that Andrew luck offset is so high that this almost makes this unnatural overreact your points worth taking though because they've changed the offense since he was there. I mean, this Frank Reich offense. There's going to be shorter stuff. I'm not saying they'll never throw it down the field, but they may not rely on that as much. And that may be key to keeping Andrew luck. Lead him? Yeah, I haven't seen him a temp to even throw the ball down. I got some. To me telling him not exactly. Yeah. And I get your point, looked offense has changed. Someone looking Jacoby is in there when he gets in the game. There are one on one shot, single safety, middle defense where he got one on one on the outside and Jacoby stolen the ball down the field outside. So maybe Andrew doesn't want to yet. Maybe they're telling him not to, but look even he himself when we're talking about he completed that pass right there right there. I mean, that was a beautiful throw by, and you know, even Andrew himself said, hey, look, I'm getting more confidence that when I throw the football, it's going where I wanted to like if I want to back shoulder something, if I want to put it low in a way I can get it there. So even he is saying, I'm not there yet, but it's getting there and I'm happy that at least I can go back on the practice field with no soreness in continue to work on it. So of course, he's not there yet. Not there yet. No, twenty yard place yet is and to your point. But so far so great. I like that Dan so far, so great. That's on the opposite end of that match up was the forty Niners Jimmy Garoppolo not his best start. Third and four here. Here Garoppolo looking deep finds Marquise Goodwin, but overthrown and it's a glimpse of last year's Jimmy g. in the second possession here second and six play action to peer Garcia and over the middle. And that finishes the forty seven yard play..

"So I, I would be I would be surprised if luck didn't move up to my second tier at some point in the next four weeks, but I really wanna see him out on the football field playing in a real gain, although it's exhibition a real game preseason game and and see him go out there and look like the guy that we all know. The you mentioned Jimmy Garoppolo to, he's a guy that I just keep ticking up. I mean, I just keep, you know, it's so impressive. What I remember Matt Ryan struggled in his first year under Kyle Shanahan after a full off season yet. Jimmy Garoppolo jumps in one month after being acquired from the patriots last year. You know, he's got the plays on his on his wrist wrist band to know the plays and he's out there and they're moving the ball consistently. Now they weren't great in the red zone. You only through what seven touchdowns in five starts, and that was actually another thing that went wrong in that first year under cautioning with Matt Ryan, they were terrible in the red zone, but you know, in in last year, the forty Niners kicking a lot of field goals. I keep you playing Robbie Gould in DFS, you know. You know during those last five games like you were banking, you know he was the kicker to to play. So I just and he didn't have peer, go shown. And you know he was out there throwing his second most targeted player during Jimmy Garoppolo. Five starts was Kyle us check frigging fullback. And George Kitto was a rookie. And Trent Taylor was a rookie and Marquise Goodwin never done anything in the, you know, and all the sudden he's exploding for like almost eighty yards per game during that stretch. So garoppolos a guy who's really started to excite me and I liked that you have him here looks like in your in your top ten. I agree with that. So let's move down to the the. The fourth tier Pat Mahomes Alex Smith dot Prescott. Marcus mariota, Matt, Ryan, Mitchell Trubisky, Derek Carr. So Marcus mariota. Michael, is someone I really wanna like. This year. I think that there are statistical reasons to like him..

"It's really, really hard to find a surprise team because I think we talk about the NFL so much in the off season that it's hard to pick out a team where you say to yourself, God, that team's going to surprise a lot of people. What I do do this year's I generally look at teams are really strong in the lines of scrimmage and teams that could use that, like kind of as a springboard last year, it was the eagles. I'll give you the Cowboys this year. They're off having their offensive line back intact. The way it is having gone through some transition. I think. Make a difference. I think adding Connor Williams that makes a difference for them up there. And I think their defensive lines got chance to be pretty good, especially DeMarcus, Lawrence playing for a contract are let's take five more questions and then we'll get out of here. All right. Five more is Brady playing beyond twenty eighteen. Yes. What what are you using the colts record is going to be if Lux healthy, ten, six. If not healthy, six and ten where we'll Levy. I'm bell play next season. That's question. Number three. Where will Levy on Dell play next season? See, I would say the lions piece they've had that need running back carry on Johnston, I'd say the lions, but they, but with Bob Quinn and map Trish there. Now, I don't think they'll break the Bank for a running back. The raiders my producers are raiders fan, so let's go with the raiders that actually makes them sense. Gruden invest in running back, marshawn might be done. Let's go with the raiders for the last year and Oakland. I think it'll be. We don't even know where the plane twenty nineteen. Okay, two more questions. And then we're out of here. How many wins for the Browns. I'm going to set the over under on wins for the Browns at six. I ended a better team than most people realize even without Josh Gordon. Last question Jimmy Geeta the Pro Bowl will wrap it up there. I know there's been a lot of question, wiser so much hype around Jimmy g. like he only played five games. He took a one in ten team to six and ten. He took a team that looked like it was in disrepair and go down the names of the guys that he was playing with peer Garzon George Kittle. Garrett Salik I, you look at the guys Marquise Goodwin. It's not a great team yet, but he was able to elevate people around. Do I think that there could be some mumps and the road? Yeah, but I'll tell you what the Niners really believe in him. And there was the option there for Kyle Shanahan to turn around and go get Kirk cousins and he didn't do it. And I think everybody out there with a pulse knows what cow Shanahan thinks Kirk cousins. He thinks Kirk cousins can calcium and thinks he can make Kirk could make Kirk cousins into drew Brees and so that he's willing to pass that guy who he has that background on and that he's willing to say, we're not worried about quarterback in the draft and he's willing to turn around and sign off on a hundred thirty seven and a half million dollar deal. Does he everything you need to know? Jimmy came in there was something to prove. I'll tell you this right now and they trade for Jimmy on Halloween, Dave before Halloween, whatever it was. They were leaving their options open. It was still possible. They go get Kirk cousins. It was still possible. They were gonna draft one and Jimmy won that contract. He did not. There was that was no shirt thing, and the fact that Jimmy was able to win that contract in five starts tells you all you need to know, okay, I appreciate you guys coming out on excited for the new season. "Thank you so much for that coach sit back and enjoy all the basketball talk it's fantastic i'm just learning all books that i'm coming to cleveland for game for a week from friday all right i'll be out of town perfectly well well among players who can still play football but have yet to be signed by team next season chris carter and does bronze at this point both have seemingly equal chance to play next year done still unemployed chris has a pretty good job here i as turned on a contract with the ravens packers pass now the forty nine is reportedly are not interested cowboy ceo steven jones says he's not sure why dez is on sign and multiple teams have called the cowboys about this minute that team released is the one where he's not sure why nobody would sign him coach the niners making mistake if they pass on bryant's i don't think when you look at what the forty niners do would their offense there's a lot of shifting there's a lot of motioning there's a lot of movement there's multiple formations they ask those guys to to do a lot of different things on a weekly basis and that really hasn't been something that that does has done or so so you're projecting whether or not he can do it well i think they've also done a good job in san francisco with receivers that they got marquise goodwin he had a nice season last year after not being very productive in buffalo so you see some growth by some of the young receivers i drafted a young receivers well dont they pettus more of a punt returner right now but he's got he's got some serious upside so it doesn't really make any sense for them i don't think at this point to go guy like this.
