"Dream composer, Jesse Evans and dougie Costello attend to one shot and many a star for Tom marquand and Paul and Oliver Cole, a ten to one shot Mark Milligan, who takes the one 40. I'm going to be really boring, I guess. Lethal Levi, he's doing to take a heck of a lot of beating here. He's a three year old. He's very much on the upgrade. He's got a 6 pound penalty for his win a week ago, but he's still three pounds well in even with that 6 pound penalties due to go up 9 pounds in the future. And this is a horse, he's very, very much on the upgrade. Against a bunch of horses who, to be honest, we know everything about. We know everything about every one of these horses. We kind of, we know what they're capable of. We know what they're ceilings. This fella, he hasn't hit his ceiling yet. And he'll take a world of beating in here. Yeah, the horses that I was interested in ingo Thor, for example, not in the race. So, thanks very much. We'll just take a little lever. That'll do nicely. The two ten taking a big jump in distance up to a mile and 6 for the summer handicap. Sportsbook go 5 to one for Friday Norton and Mark Charlie and Mark Johnston's soapy Stevens, valley forge. The first winner on your debut on the final farm podcast put up at 8 to one goes off fours is a 5 to one shot for Andrew balding and David probert. That was all the way back in May, my friend. Trawler man for John and the Benoit de la salette is in 11 to two shot having been well supported by kaluki with glute, they're telling me, and then you've got Sam Cooke for race packet and rob hornby, a ten to one shot. All right, who are we looking at for the two ten? Yeah, finally falls the first winner thought mong self. First of many on this podcast. And I think you'll do it again. He ran in the Northumberland plate last time, and you thought about if I remember right, he thought I might have been with him again in the Northumberland play, but I wasn't that clean. And I think I was right to be honest, because I thought he ran a really good race, but he didn't quite see out the two miles. He looked certain to finish in the first three or four, all the way up the street, I think. And it stamina just run dry towards the end. I think coming back to a mile and 6 will be right in his Wheelhouse and to be honest, I think he's going to be a big player in the eba next month as well. And so anyone who wants to back him for the E ball, as I do, who thinks that he's got a good chance there, probably wants to be backing in before Saturday to be honest, because I think he's a little crash if he wins this. And I'm really keen on him in here. There are plenty of others you can give chances to this when we look at the time form ratings of the actual race. There's not a lot between top and bottom. I just think he's a bit more lower mileage than a few of these. The likes of you can Glen gold maize, et cetera. That was a really eye catching run at Newcastle last time. He just didn't see out that two miles. This my own three quarters around the tight track like good think will be perfect for him. I since a request for a price and I expected to hear about it towards the end of the show and fair play to Colin. Back to me straight away. 14 to one for the ybor valley forge, with clue sports book right now. That's not a bad price. I wouldn't put anyone off a bit of that each way. I think I need to seriously consider that as well. Valley forge 5 to one for Saturday.

"I think the form of awesome. Just a pure price thing. I just think that prices are to use a colloquial phrase a little bit out of whack here. Well, I agree. I mean, I have to tee you up by asking you is just a case of going back to work, because there's been so much about the her majesty's gonna have a winner. Sorry, your majesty. Look, everybody wants to win. And Sheik Muhammad did give you a horse for the Derby back in the day, only for a certain Miguel Barcelona and cool more to come along and pour more even to celebrate before the winning line. How dare he wasn't executed. But it should be in the towel. He's send him to the tower. Into the tower. Put his head on a spike for all disease as a warning. To anyone who did. But Ottoman fleet is an interesting selection. I wanted to hear who you were going to go for 7 to one with cookie. Let's go. Last race, Andy. Last race of the Thursday. The ladies day. A simple, simple race free it kick into 6 to one is the field here with collegiate so 6 to one is market leader Monte sib. Let's go with the pronunciation for the aforementioned William haggerston Tom marquand. It's 8 O one, Charlie hills and dark shift. William Buick and Charlie are to be teaming up again with silent film. It's one of these last two and William hagers again with busal, real simple contests to round off the coverage. This one, isn't it? I mean, we've had, I mean, this race is being brought back, isn't it? Yes..

"You know, I mean, I don't do any impression. The close I come is to Colombo. All right, let me just ask you one more question. You know, that's like, I mean, that's about as close as I come. How do you become such a great impressionist? Well, I defer to you guys like a Jim Mexican Mexican Ross marquand, several others on TikTok that are really great. I think because I grew up with my parents from Argentina. My dad breed in British educated, washing Monty Python when I was a kid. And my best was Paris being from Glasgow. I thought they had a lesson than I had a visual reference to John the way he spoke. And I had a visual reference to my mom and all the friends and I watched them and I watched the way their mouth moved. So for example, when I do Billy Crystal sound like stuff, I watched forget about Paris over and over and over again. And then I started to watch the way Mike wazowski had his lip flap and go, come on, Sully, get out of here. It's 12 o'clock. Are you kidding me? Raj, you know you look really good. So I think you just study it and study it and like he says, you hear it and you pretend and you replicate it. It's much like kids do when they see a puppy, right? You see a puppy you have a totally different voice for that puppy. And you're doing it perfectly because you see it and you feel it and it comes from inside out. And I think it sets the same thing with impressions. You hear it. And you want to replicate it. And how do I replicate it? First, I got a physical eye. And that's why everybody, when I did the narrow, you went over the board a little bit. Yes you did. Yes, you did. You know, that's the face you make because it helps you get there..

But i have been trying some new kits. And you know me i mean. I'm always looking for like affordable kit right. So whenever i did the tea in august i was looking for a more race fit jersey. 'cause i kinda don't have any all my jerseys or pretty much non ero and i was trying to get as arrow as possible so i found this relatively affordable like a sixty five dollars jersey. Which for me is a lot. Because i'm usually not willing to spend that much but it's this company called and i'm to mess this up so bad ciro. T- polar of fuse that together and impose that it so it sounds like one fluid and also put it in the description but yes. It's a decent kit for relatively affordable price. I think is fifty seven dollars for the arrow jersey. And i also in a another test. I ordered one of their their long-sleeved thermal jerseys and now that it's getting a little bit cooler. I'm always looking for the to to maximize my body temp. But not ultimately overheat myself. So i went out actually had a nice higher zone three ride. So it's like kind of hammering but not quite in in one of their newer thermal jerseys. Dude i'm impressed like it. Cut the wind in this leads. Which for jersey is nice but it. It's not like the the crap amazon kit that usually buy coconut ripon. Oh brand porno. I don't know how it's pronounced but no you both have jerseys..

"We can. We can walk from here to the spot close. The gas station probably has the sliced. Remember the pizza place. That was here if they moved before we moved over here. You brought the. Us brought pizza into the old gym right. That pizza was so good i remember. Ask guys all right next to the aaa go ahead like a dumb ass name. It was like like how like this. Wasn't it what it was like wacky western. Barak play wicked something wicked west pizza like that right like it was fucking amazing and they had like I just remember he pulled pork. Honor something like regular pizza. Good it unbe. They had like they had a bunch of weird pizza and they had regular pizza and golden era. Those really some of the best ever had mind. Thank god they talk closer to the microphone. It'd be great you've run away from it shutdown. Yeah rate as we moved over here. They're like these guys are gonna get too fat jessica. We would have been a lot of trouble at places amazing remember. The cross was really good about that pizza. I remember i had and i was just like. Where'd you guys miss the teriyaki place next to the old. St how oishi there. It's a place. I would never go to like men right off the freeway. Sketchy as fuck and then call my god. He's smirk meal. How come on teriyaki sauce. A teriyaki place is like ridiculously amazing. But you can't get it in the store you buy. It's not the same in the store. She sells there. They sell their teriyaki's. Why well how how come it's not how come it's not like massively manufactured. I mean you ever go to a few can't do it. Do you ever go to a and w like fast. Food place What do they sell their. I don't know but they do have a w root beer on tap is different than any other. It's like it's almost like cream soda like not. It's fucking good probably yes rubio flow. We're talking about but pizza okay. Real quick before we continue on. Because that's right so it was reminded me of when you were like saying that people would get upset them. That people are selling programs. Because they're on stuff. Say okay if they're not now seeing the other side where like oh well. They're selling programs because they're like super you know the genetic freak so i still can't relate so it's even if you were to have your verification check people would still be upset at you for just to have in really good genetically. This is weird. There's some people that won't work with people at take stuff. Yeah it's interesting. But i think it has to do with like recovery. I think there's aspect of certain. There's that but i think like the usa pl is really weird about like even like associating yourself. Yeah i've heard about that later. Oh shit with this person then. Another weird man. That's really weird right. And i should go compete. Say peel feeling but That history. No what i was gonna say man about mutants is a lot of people. Don't realize like dalen bailey. She said she's been playing sports and she was five. She was a college soccer player. russ has been playing football like almost all his life. He's a sport athlete. A lot of these individuals who let's say they look end up looking really crazy at a certain point. Some people don't realize there's a gym weller. Came on and talked about it. There's a lot of development that goes on in your childhood. Here's especially if you do play sports and your teenage years. That i mean. Let's not say that you can't get it later but it gives you an extra layer of just like ten steps ahead. You end up being ahead of the game. Because you're you have better body awareness mean i think of you in gymnasts kids that were kids our gymnasts. That's a crazy thing as a yoked when they not just the yoked but when they're in their twenties or doing like hand san walks and doing all these things just because their body was used to it when they were young and they have these abilities. So she's she. She's been an athlete yell of her life. We know some mutants to that are kind of almost like closet. Mutants like there's so we have some friends that can do a really wide array of things. Like i think marquand is one of the most exceptional people that i know. If you think about being really well rounded well rounded calloway's cowboys that motherfucker like he's dangerous is you know he knows. A lot of different types of martial arts is a former marine. he like just. He's a splashing around our day starts swimming and he's like holy shit is fucking as a marine. She's like i like he's okay. He knows how to swim. You know We we have some friends that really know a crazy amount of stuff. And we got like a jason khalifa. You ever see. Jason cleveland. Like on a rower. And he's like. Oh yeah this how you do it. And he's like kinda go on your. He's producing so much force. He's barely trying and barely breathing. And then jason cleopa was a guy in cross fit that kinda struggled on a couple things really severely and then fixed those things immensely to win the entire fucking crossing games and he was dominant for many many years especially on the local level. You see that guy. He's you know he. He looks like he's like two thirty for some reason. I don't know why things aren't as armed real big by to ten or something like that. He looks a lot heavier than he even is but he looks fucking jack as it is Sick i walk on his hands. It's like he walks on his hands better than most people walk around their feet. Any sense that same guy you know. We'll do like overhead squat with like three sixty five. Yeah like those take dude you gotta pick one. You're not allowed to be that good at that many different things. Just settle down over there. Stop making everybody look so bad. But i don't believe jason's on anything he's he's in a Again some people are like old drug tested. People don't get passed the test or whatever cycle off cycling off. I know they want to try to accuse every single person of of being on stuff. Whether it's matt frazier or jason philippa or rich frowning and all i can say is i have worked out with some of these people before and in just doing one workout. I'm like oh. I got enough of a taste of that to see how you can improve in advance every single day especially once you learn how to recover from it.

Participate don't get me wrong. I mean anybody listen show. I'm christian. And i believe to leaving. God i believe in the power of i believe all that. I do think though people can do things in the name of god. That are completely phone right. Like i mean like floods not act like that that just because someone says there. A preacher doesn't mean they. Can you know you saw what happened with all the catholic priests for i mean like. They thought they were doing you know so but but nevertheless my point is there's a lot of these people on tv and then way back in the day you had. Jimmy swaggart slammed against you by lord and he would start crying. The jimmy did you like the half black. What if you're better got a new voice now got you got a jimmy swaggart knowing that you know. There's there's a movie about tammy faye bakker. I went to the movie theater yesterday. And there's knew it's called movie about tearing baker but it's it was at the theater i went to. I didn't even know there was a movie. I wanna see that as well. I'm more of who is is it. Eli stone the righteous stones. Yes essays judy. That's a really funny show. I did go to the movie yesterday. Saying i watched a movie called the card counter. Who i've never heard of it. It's good it's actually really. I think it's really good. It's not for everybody. It's about a guy who counts cards. And that's how he makes his living but he also was one of the people that tortured people at abu. Ghraib took a dark turn exactly. It's a little dark. But i think it's really well done. It's not for everybody. The last thing. I noticed it got a ninety three from critics on rotten tomatoes and a forty five from the audience and part of me was like how does that happen. The last scene told me how that happened. I think you know movies trying to leave. You feeling good. This one did not want you to feel good. They wanted you to feel bad walking out. I've tried to count cards. So i'm still gonna watch it. They teach you in the movie how to count cards. No they teach you like there's like five minutes teaches you now. I know how to count cards. Teach other stuff. No they teach you. he's he teaches how he counts cards. And i was actually. I don't think i ever knew that. And i was kinda fascinated by makes you home practice. Doesn't it it makes me. It is very difficult. Who's next kevin kevin kevin. I don't know where you never see them evangelist. That and he'll never see him in the emergency room. That's where you'd never see them but he'll somebody that's came and that's a very good point. What else you got. I'm at work. I just came in. I love kevin stays on his boss comes in and he says what's what position are. You most worried about saturday story about quarterbacks really meet across the field even the guys haven't played. Well i think it will get a little better. But we're just too thin in the guys out there. Just look experienced. I mean they've only have three of them. I think that have played meaningful minutes so that that position is probably gonna concern me all year. Somebody out there will know. I don't know the answer to this. Somebody tell me win. The lexington fayette county grand jury meets again. Because i'm serious about that like that's one of the things we're white now. Is i know when this guy i mean. I don't know. But i didn't get his very likely when this grand jury meets been at least three of those guys are going to have their charges dismissed. I i'd be shocked if that doesn't happen in one of those is a quarterback we actually need and right now he's just in limbo because he's waiting on the grand jury. Somebody listening to this knows the answer of when is the grand jury meeting. Because you know. I'm sure stoops's like can we just. He's very frustrated. And that's why we keep harping on this but everyone involved in that situation. That's not a kentucky. Football player is just outliving their lives. And yes i agree with that. All football players have four years to decide their future. Here's what's mistake with the exception of vito. I don't know what'll happen with vida. Yeah but i will make you. I will bet any amount of money. Those other five will never. They won't serve a day. They those other five or go going to be fine and yet they have to sit here and wait. They're suffering the punishment already be knows a different situation. I can i can understa- i think the school should let those other five play. I understand hold out veto until they find out what happened with the gun. I get that but the other five. I think they should be allowed to play well. They got punished early in the summer. When it's an investigation then it just comes out in the media like the first day camp or the day before and they have to get pulled out of camp they miss olive camp lot of them. Don't understand the school already. Cleared the only thing that changed. Is that the city but the facts are the same so like either you were wrong to clear them initially or you should have cleared them now like nothing changed so so the fact that you just pulled them because the public found out i actually think it's kinda lame either. They should have been pulled in march instead pulled or they should be allowed to play but just going well now that the public knows. We're gonna pull them. I think that's lame and even if it's just one of the six it's dropped it turns out that much involvement. They were suspended for months going into remember. They were slew. Guys marquand mccall and somebody else that had a period of a couple of weeks where they weren't allowed and they weren't even there just because they miss pointed them out that's why On one side of this people are already being punished while while awaiting is happening for the grand jury. One person writes map. My daughter says my favorite thing. Dad about cancer is matt wheezes when he thinks things are funny. I think i think. Sometimes i do like can't recreate it but like i have we before i laugh. Okay that's how you know. I think something's really funny. Find a pause before. I laugh like charging up your laugh. Shame and said something yesterday. That made me do it. What was it shannon. i don't know anyway. Yeah that happens occasionally. Who's next all right. Let's go to joe. Joe joe joe. How're you joe joe. All good i just wanted to call in quick And i've been to both live a couple of times and going up the only contact. I had to go to christian concert. "Um, you know, with thinking about all the mistakes and thinking about how much you can improve, it's a lot nicer to do so after a win. But But there's also some amazing stops we had. There's a couple of well executed blitz is one from J. J. They get the sack. The third down sack was monstrous, You know, I mean, in that that was well designed pressure by Brad And we had everything covered in a guy completely free. I can't You got a credit, Brad with that one, not JJ, because nobody touched them. Um, so it looked like he was almost almost came close to over running the quarterback here. I'll tell you. This is so long. He swallowed him up, though, didn't he? Yes, he did. Yeah, That's where he just you hold on, because it almost felt like don't get a face mask or something silly, you know, And, uh, he swallowed him up. And, uh, that that, uh, you know, give us an opportunity. Previous previous drive to there was a third and We'll say 35 stop that. Marquand made the tackle on baby in the backfield. But the play that what blew it up was a quarter blitz was that was that was third and we had them third and seven. And then they called us on the, uh, neutral zone 13. Then it went to third and two and we actually get them for negative yardage. They lost two or three on that play. Which made him pump as well. But yeah, those were too critical stops. "Yeah, I'm saying Oh, yo. Okay, Lex. Here we go. Yes, I'm going to ask you the question that we've been asking for now, years years. Hmm. Is the walking dead. Still back. Yes, it is. Oh, yes. Okay, don, I think particularly curious to see how you will feel about what happened last night in last night's episode, because it looks like Darrell's hot love might be coming. Oh, that we've been wanting for for Oh, no. What do you mean God? Okay, the only one that wants this. Not love. No, it's okay. I just don't know He's so stinky looking. I just can't Oh, Jin, anybody he's so what phrasing was the issue, then? Thank you, Kenny. They missed it. They were not realizing what you and I realized where I took a drink of water, and I almost threw up on br those camera, But I've missed what happened. Don't worry about it continues. So, yeah. Darryl's Oh, Darryl. Oh, yeah. How's Darryl's hot love? Okay, It's coming along. Okay? Yeah. Parts. Here you go. Um, Leah's back, and so there's this whole initiation. That happens. Who the hell is Lee? Okay, that's that. Okay? Leah is the love that he in the cabin from before Oh, love from before the left. Okay, the episode where he or episodes where he met this woman in a log cabin. And she was helping him. He was living by the river trying to find Rick with dog. Right? Okay. That's Leo and dog found her and wanted to stay with her. Yeah, So it's just a dog is the actual name of the dog. Just if you're to follow along here named that's right. It's an actual dog person named Dog. So she's part of this whole other group called the Reapers and the guy who leads them. He's called Pope. Now. He has a very religious you are the chosen one. Very everyone's afraid of him Militant kind of leadership. Identity. Okay, so there's that. So there's some crazy things that happen and they want to initiate him. Yes, they are done because I haven't watched the episode. I have to watch it today. Okay, Kenny, I'll meet you at the coffee machine. You have to say this is good because I met Aaron over the weekend. Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron, with the morning Gloria hand, um at crypto con. So something kind of awkward, But cool happened, Um, with all of this, asking if it's back or not, but the actual episode itself. I'm really excited for the direction that they're going. I'm very happy. This is the last season. It's definitely took a turn. I can't wait. You know, Gerald, my favorite, so just to see How this workout shakes out What's going to happen with Leah. Something happens that Leah kind of has to. She's in some banks of how she where her alliances Where they was lie. There's a huge lie that Carol has to tell. It's just Oh, it's so good, Okay, like it's really back. So are real excited. So let me ask you something. So the Reapers are the ones in the masks that are there in the train from last that I remember trying to fight their way through and then they get through that whole train tunnel. And then they encounter these people in masks who are like ninjas? Yes. Okay, So she's a part of that is a part of that, and They take him captive. Oh, what happened, Darrelle? Yeah, See, I really usually don't like spoilers, but I do not care about the show at all. So I like to feel free to Yeah, you can tell you think I don't care. Okay, so he gets I'm not telling you a lot. There's a lot of things that happened that Whoa. Okay. Wow. I'm excited to watch it tonight, then. Yeah, your tone, Lex. I know I am myself even when you've said, And if you just tuned in, we're talking the walking dead my, even when she's listening to herself, Kenny, by the ways of the coffee machine. Well, he'll be coming back shortly, But, um, even when you've proclaimed that the walking dead is back in weeks Past. Yeah. Other weeks. Subsequent weeks you have no you haven't sounded as enthusiastic as you sound right now. Yeah, there was a little trepidation, trepidation. How much are we hate watching this at this moment, But since none of that right now, right? I'm really Curious to see where they're taking the story of her and there's other. They're not even at the other. We don't even see Eugene and Princess and all those guys. I think they're coming back. Next episode. Okay? I can only handle so much of that. Anyway. Exactly. You just want to focus on that one group. Okay, Great. And they're doing that, so okay. Wow. Yeah. Now over the weekend was cryptic con right, which is a horror convention and my husband and I we have a business. We were vendors there, so he was there all three days working the booth and everything I came on Saturday. And got to meet Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron, the one with the morning glory in his hand, Um, gay character, and, uh, Wow. He is a very popular man. There was always a line at his booth. He was very gracious with everyone that came by to see him even watching long videos. And you know, tive. Yeah. Wait. What? Yeah, there was a family in front of me watching showing him this video that felt like went on for minutes and minutes and minutes. Heaven help us. Yeah, there's social cues. Do a whole thing about what not to do it convention. Yeah, because there's some like he can walk away. You they seem to his booth. Yeah. So so there's there's that whole thing, too. But once I finally got to meet, it was very nice. And David and my talker had already prepped him. And he asked Alexis is the walking dead back? He did, which was really cool. But in that moment having to just having to explain what that question means, because we are shows of our Um, we kind of I mean, we think it sucks to a star of the show. And you I mean, the origin of that is even more convoluted because it goes back to you and ABC s revenge. I mean, that's the orange cheese right is the is revenge back because I like hated watch that too. That's where it started was weekly. I asked you because, like it's back, girls back, it's back and is revenge back. So that's true. Uh, yes. So then he's like, What does that mean? Exactly? And I go. Oh, Ross. Well, you know Sometimes when I watch the show There's different levels of like Whether I'm really excited about it or not, you know, and then I just start going vomit of them because I can't lie in the moment. I don't know what what to say. Other than just sometimes we, You.

"Play here Silence were has a decent line into form here with the fact that he He won only. Is it a week ago. With the real world is very much on the up and Some very excited about and you have to run a fine race that day to be third and i thought he might be a horse. That if you wanted to go for each way option in the race with one-two-three he could be the one but yeah i think so because he runs against some extremely good horses doesn't if you look back through swami he's often running what you might think. It was slightly out of his depth and then he goes and runs third or maybe fourth. But so we'll be good enough with that and he's kind. Of course i could say you know you got those horses where they're not really each way horses. They're more place horses. Because within each way who you've really got to think that it has a genuine chance of winning but there are some way you think now it probably won't win a but i do think it's a very good chance of being second one in this case. Say third. Because i think that's probably only can hype for But i certainly wouldn't put you off him as a as a horse to get into the first three because it just seems to me no matter what company runs in. He's always got the potential to finish third so good old juke of has we love. Don't wait probably finished third. In whatever race he ran in you could run him unika dropping several grades and he's still be third. You drove into a class. Five at lingfield thursday and he's still be third. Yeah not not a bother So i think peralta was still my main selection but i i would give to hazard some consideration as well. I hope that mark strolling and karen following can bring about the necessary improvement with them at this springs to beverley my man and An old favourite the final furlong. Podcasts heads the market at judicial. Who of course loves this race. So this is the william hill. Beverly bullet sprint stakes. The listed race for the speedsters and It's going to be fascinating renewal. Judicial has The market colored. He's won this race back in two thousand nineteen I think he ran a fine it last year as well if my memory serves correctly. Maybe it's failing me. I'm not entirely certain. But he is one of beverly already. This season finishing third. Back in the fifteenth of june and last time at was back in the winner's enclosure at chester com. Rodriguez for judy camacho. Four to one dakota. Gold is five's hurricane. Ivor another bit of favourite on the puck. Podcast for william harrison till marquand thirteen to two and tis marvelous for clive. Cox and paul hannigan is sevens. So three year olds are not from fourteen in the in the beverly bullet. So he can knock out any three-year-old significantly. You're gone and and any others there's dandala by show yourself bye-bye but what about the mckenzie Who have you picked you know. A thing about statistics is that they're always there to be broken in the and i wonder whether significant might be the host to do this back. Well east all three are like a horse on the curve. It beverly near the inside and the fattening. He's a front runner means he'll stay trouble because you're not beverly because that is curved. All the way isn't it. And i think this is going to be potentially issue dakota gold who. I think really is probably taking everything into account. Learn the best horse in the race. Your very wide Significantly up in front as trouble dakota goal will either have to rigorous ways with a pack will stay wide the way she's not helping a sprint race but there's often congestion at beverly isn't it. Because of that curve and horses get behind. And then they try to switch out or try to maneuver in behind the other horses in front of them and i think significantly from me. He's he's got pole position here and he's he's not far fi inside ralph. So i'm gonna. I'm gonna stick my neck and say that that sequence could be broken in this beverly bullet and significantly. I think he's a decent price for me. And i just think there's some of the other horses in their job that good judicial. You mentioned the coach. Maybe an issue withdraw his marvelous think. He'll run his race hurricane either. He's very wide. I think there are a potential issues about all the others But of course we'd i wanna find federal sprint. Even listed what rousing the sprint handicap is. It's going to depend on. Who gets the brakes. But i think significantly. I need those. Because he'll be up front and And hopefully. We'll see another horse at any state during the rice. I have to ask you then about a another final furlan podcast favourite which is just another bottle. So this horse was. i'm trying to think. Was he fifties. When rory put him up and he became a another final furlan. Podcast monstrous gamble The idea that rory had with this worse was that if they applied Blink if the first time application of blinkers worked for him. He was his specific instructions. Were this is not an each way. Bet he is a win. Bet only because he's he's either going to win this or he's going to bomb entirely and he just burst out of the souls made all and nothing got near him as coming out of stole one and kevin could basically repeat those tactics here in a field size of twelve. He's on good to firm which was good ground Rippin and he's twelve is yours that you trust to backup that form. And possibly just given the fact that he's coming out of stow along. Could he burst out and make all and just be a little bit too hard to to peg back. He certainly got. The draw has an end and of course having mentioned significantly this the possibility they might end up running one another into the grand. I the way just another one at so rip. It was ridiculous we'll stay competitive handicap sprint so the season and nothing looked like overhaul ian from from start to finish and yet the kazeem transform classier opponents because these just a little step up from those typical saturday afternoon handicap. Is you know the grapes of wolford is a cracking race every year. And if he goes off in front as far as he did there It's quite possible. Not nothing will get near him. i and also that might selection significantly. I said i hoped he never see another horse from start to finish. He might actually see another horses rear end and it could be just another bottles disappearing over the horizon a significantly takes motorable second place But yeah every reason. I don't think there's any problem to in sprinting. With horses bridging that gap between good handicaps and going up a little step up the ladder. I mean this is a listed race but even so threes in groups. We've seen seahorses haven't we Sprinters during that time and time again is is harder for the horses over longer distances. So yes he he could do it. It is a case of whether the blinkers will work again but So that the price eventually say eleven to one twelve. You know if you if you're on riven it's a. It's a gamble at that price that you might be prepared to take because until you seen house gotta run a at bedrick we. We just don't know if he does it again. You'd be kicking yourself. Yes if you back. Senate rippin lost on the point you make about the difference between handicap enlisted even group three company and sprinters sprinters at group one level. Keep beating one another There's very little difference between the class of a sprinter at high-class handicap level. Where you're on a raiding ninety-six six and listed in groups free company and there's no reason why you can't back it up. I don't think they would put him in here on the back of two weeks unless they thought he was capable of running a massive race. He's always been incredibly frustrating. In the past and it's entirely possibly sulks. It's entirely possible. He just goes. Nah i've done it and And your horse significantly doesn't see another rival because just the bottle just can't be bothered today. But judicial is probably my selection and in fact he is nell down. i'll go judicial To win this race for the second time and it's significantly for For lee mckenzie. We've one more race to come on the final from podcast Before we do we should tell you that there is live streaming available without even having to.

What did you guys think rugs. What did you think the show overall. What did you think of the animation. specifically i like the animation of for the most part i would say it was mostly good except for the the lip synching which was a little bit off some of the some of the when they were just talking. The mouth animation was weird. It didn't match either the eighty yard it and they changed the what they were saying. After the fact or they need to really tighten that up a little bit other than that look good. I love the. I thought it was gorgeous. I love the fluid kind of remind me of like the fleischer superman cartoons a little bit of iron giant but a little bit of disney house style in terms of the physics people. You know things hit walls and then pause and hang and drop very disney house style. But i thought it looked beautiful and i like that. It was narrated by the watcher. Just like the comic anthony. What'd you think of the animations.

"And emotions. And i love to play with nature because nature is unbreakable. Nature is a stronger so served for me plays a double role firstly sport of surfing the delightful element of blame the the ocean. Second is the anuj off the oceans. How the russian moves and you cannot fight the ocean. You have to go into the channel. If you get caught if you lost your board you cannot just swimming back through. The shampoo have get bound in your head and go from the waves. So you have to have is a is a is a ways to do it deal one time. I lost my board and had very heavy surf in the in the very late afternoon. I was by myself into ocean. And i lost the i thinking about the last set. Wouldn't get so. I get one more way to get this set. I get one founding ahead and broke my leash. And i was already out there getting dark by myself with the channel pushing me towards the ocean and i was by myself so i have to be calm enough to to just go through the ocean and then eventually go sideways to the along the beach for about ten minutes and then go back to the ocean to back to the sand and i arrive on the send about nine o'clock at night. Thanks god for for being alive and lost my board. But that's give me a sense of calmness under pressure and so i was not intended to do that but as i put myself in that situation i could use this as a positive experience so hickson. You're now moving into a different phase of your life. Do you feel as a live now as you did when you were a champion or do you about it differently. No i don't feel better. But thankful i'm not few worst because what i could do with very very graciously in very motivated and inspired for me was lost west. Changing the focus from yourself in pyramid. I always focus on the top of the pyramid deficiency and competition in proving sheets is the best but for the last twenty five years or so jujubes has been going based on and becomes more competition aspect and submission tournaments grappling tournaments. And they become i feel like they. Losing the martial arts spirit becomes a game without that spirit in now for me. My goal is not only not to force or to show details for better fighters but to give him what assessable base for people who are not fighters and they need something to really grow. Because if you put yourself in perspective of of how much you can grow from ju jitsu practice. I tell you you can double your perception of yourself. In terms of off understand your gauges of tiredness off. Sharpen his in your mind possibilities of strategy communists emotional control everything you have. You don't put a test because you're not playing usually. It's when you start playing you start to understand the physicality the techniques the movements and that's a perception which i call invisible power you start to develop a better sense of balance start to develop a better sense of deflation and get punch or how to respond you so based on that learning process you start to become more confident. You start to humanize herself another big problem. I see today is the fact that -nology robotics internet dehumanize you we become half humans and have this universe we live here so you can be new air. You can talk with anyone you can see any so everything is there. What's not the ability to shake hands. Look somebody in the eye to up to just forty job to talk. Forget to to be present human. Humans we eat. We have to to connect relationship so the humanizing doesn't make you strong and relationships. Does that make you strong and your presence jujitsu just hug. Just the breathing together. Just give you that sense of prizes. Essential of connection which is very important. Not few how much is important for you. But because you're not sometimes you feel like you spend your time without feeling a hug. Feeling the sweat feeling something which is very so ju jitsu can also help you in that matter of of supporting your life not because today this is a weenie fighting this us. We in without a fight. I can give you two for you to become more peaceful marquand activists yourself more sensitive to others better new relationships battering your sense of believing in yourself what denver you don't have to spinal body the concepts. I change in my teaching progress. Now is before in the first month. You wanna lend some nukes. And the first month and they end up the first met your inspiring and that's sparring session can be very positive for some warriors but can be jeopardizing. A lot of guys would not designed to fight in. What way does it jeopardize emotionally ed. Because if you come in to learn techniques amazed by all i like the tech and you come you and i we a seventeen year old brutal aggressive with my head and he coming to grab it and i'll pay so hurts and discomfort to win albany and you're going to say four i don't i don't i don't want that in my life but is a stupid. He's so if you get too soon involved with the actual competition aspect jeopardizing your your learning process. Martial arts we believe the first year right now. I'm sure the first year of practice has to be learning. Braddock seen we a- training partner not gonna point opponent. You just wanna face not in the first month not in the second month was just gonna face when you say yeah. I feel like i want to lend a little more. How'd you get a belt and so now we're going to start you. Don't go here. John come here. So you try to see who go falls on top and then started the competition but i get on the deep understanding of the purpose and the ideas and.

A Look at Farallon Industries

"Couple of months ago. I told you about a guy who dropped off some vintage scuba quip at the shop. One of the regulators was an old poseidon cyclone and that spurred me to segment on poseidon here on the show. I also mentioned that the cyclone was complete with a set of farallon gauges and that there were a pair of farah line fins that were unfortunately torn so they got me thinking about doing some additional research on fairlon and doing a segment here on the show. I gotta tell you. Researching on industries was a bit of a challenge. It was difficult for me to piece the information together. So some of this may be a little bit out of sequence. Let's start at the beginning. Or what i think is the beginning from my research. I believe it was somewhere around. Nineteen sixty nine. That guy named ralph osterhaudt was working on a diver propulsion vehicle or dp that he called the mark one. It seems that this was pretty successful. Product and the us navy decided to purchase two dp marquand from ralph and it appears that that's when he started foulon industries. Farallon is the name of a small group of islands about twenty six miles due west of san francisco. I wasn't familiar with the farallon islands but found out some interesting stuff about them from what i read. They were originally called the islands of the dead by native americans and then given the name farallon meaning cliffs by the spanish. I'm not exactly sure. Why ralph named is company farallon industries. Farallon was based in belmont california which is between san francisco in palo alto on the san francisco bay side. The address was listed as one three three three old country road. But when i google map data address it came up with one three three three county road now. I like to take a look at the street view at these locations to see what it looks like today and today one three three three county road in belmont california looks like a self storage facility. One of the ways that i researched founded on industries was to look back at old trademark registrations impacts when registering a trademark or patent near sometimes a description of the business on one of those registrations the businesses described as as a california corporation producing goods and services for skin and scuba divers equipment namely self-propelled vehicles for transporting scuba divers. Interestingly i saw a fair aligned dp up for auction just yesterday. I think one of their most famous patents was also in early one. It looks like it was around seventy one and that was the shock dart famous because of its uses a prop in nineteen seventy five blockbuster draws the shark dart is described in the patent as a compressed gas injector weapon including parts. Therefore you may also see these come up for auction from time to time and complete rig gets pretty pretty expensive now. There were a whole lot of patent issued to caroline industries in the nineteen seventies. It looks like it looks like there was another row involved with foulon who is also inventor and that was ralph sham champion in an old article that i read who's identified as the president of farah line industries and was listed on a number of different patents. So let's take a look at some of these products in one thousand nine hundred seventy four. It looks like they submitted a patent for a decompression indicating instrument and it said it was an analog computer then in one thousand nine hundred seventy five. They produced a pressure gauge and started to design fins over time. They introduced the farah thin the fahrenheit which was a rechargeable hand-held light and then in one thousand nine hundred seventy eight farallon industries was issued a patent for a pilot regulator that said it incorporated a novel valve assembly in the second stage in the form of a unique main diaphragm valve and a pilot valve assembly. Now i did try to trace. What actually happened to farrell on. There's some indication that it was acquired by a company called tacna. But if you look on the oceanic website they say that. Bob hollis took a big step forward with oceanic when he acquired foulon industries around nineteen seventy six giving oceanic full line of scuba equipment with an innovative line of instrumentation products. I'm not exactly sure when oceanic stop branding their products with the farallon logo. I did find a price list and catalog. from nineteen seventy eight. They're still showed a lot of the farallon. Products including their low profile pragmatic mask their patented molded mouthpiece swim snorkel. The farah light farah fins and all their instrumentation they were also still producing four versions of their diver propulsion vehicle. The mark to the mark sri mark for mark five. Interestingly in that cadillac. I did see that. Both the farallon. An oceanic logos were shown together. And oh by the way you could still get the shark dot and he came in two flavors the magnum supreme in the magnum super. Well i knew. When i started this research on farallon line industries that would be a little more challenging than some of the other companies that i've researched farah line. Industries wasn't around very long but it looks like they did some really interesting

"marquand" Discussed on WSJ The Future of Everything

"I'm wondering what manufactured blood looks like in the real world. I mean how could he scientists ever even make blood on a scale large enough to supply all of our hospitals. Well this wouldn't just be and labs were talking factories. Dr calve art had a pretty interesting idea that you might recognize for that. What charlie in chocolate factory. Better pledge place it. I think there is no question of such things will exist. So he's envisioning these big starring tanks five hundred two thousand liters into which you mega carry santen. Rude dizengoff town. Maybe frozen in batches the would be distributed and these frozen batches are then sent to secondary processing plants. Would you have a specific device in two weeks. Us naked will be fed and then the other end two clinton will come out. Then you have this whole army transport vans to get them to places that need the cells most so thinking of the pandemic that could be an area of the country where there's a big surge of cases and more blood drives are cancelled but broadening it even more if you think about the developing world. There's a huge need for clean blood. Low income countries have about one fifth of the amount of blood donations of high income countries according to the world health organization. So it's a big need whether just for an area of the us that's hit by a hurricane or a more sustainable solution for countries that need it. You know it's interesting. Because i think the pandemic had us thinking about the blood supply and yet here we are thinking about even more reasons that the human blood supply. We have could be threatened. I completely took this entire system for granted. When i first heard of the shortages it was really the first time i got exposed to this whole world of people working to support our blood supply whether in pandemic or not. I think the reason. This came front of mind for me. Is it exposed something that we still rely on humans to build. We rely on humans being healthy enough to come out and give blood and the pandemic has shown us in a lot of ways that we can't always rely on that so one day. We might need a backup. One year on: What have we learned about viruses since news of COVID-19

"Is a year since the world. Health organization declared a global pandemic and the world's began to adopt the lockdown status. That we are now so familiar with and according to the. Who also face the prospect of the pandemic staying with us until at least the start of next year. So what have we learned or dr. chris. Smith is multiple twenty-first health and science correspondent and a regular voice on one twenty four. Good morning chris. Well i remember this time last year. We were having a very similar conversation about the world going into lockdown. And he said we've got a book on bird flame. We're having a meeting. I think we might be all right. How how things out for you. In what respect. Because i if you look at different aspects of of how my life has played out then busy would be the best definition. But but i have a career which is a media career and providing science and medical commentary on things like pandemics at the same time. I have a medical career. Which is vera gist. So it's a bit like someone took. Ill musk's big effing rocket and place like no one on each leg and just ignited the same time i appreciate i. I've been very busy and in some respects. It's been an exhilarating terrifying right for others. It's obviously been devastating in terminal respect as well as in a sort of economic respect. So i think everyone is fed very differently. But maybe that wasn't what you were asking. Well let's focus on the variety section of it there. Is this sense of trying to be prepared. I think there's a feeling that many people had this time last year that we didn't know what was around the corner but the everybody was doing their absolute utmost to make sure that they could be as ready as they could be. What was it that we learned about viruses and how to deal with them within in the last year. We'll know not the golden rule book for anything night this because every situation is different every viruses different. And we'd never had a situation like this. We'd had similar situations. We've had flu outbreaks before and we'd had saws marquand the ancestor. That came in two thousand eighteen. Two thousand and three off of saul's sauce covey too but we hadn't seen anything quite like this as a result the there is no golden rule. Book says when this happens. This is how you handed of course. Also every country's different every population is different than makeup of those countries is different the way in which people work how they live what they do as a country how they respond as country. The letter prepared misses. The country is different. The amount of travel that goes on between countries is different. So it's really tricky. When you've got that extremely heterogeneous makeup of the world which makes a great place. of course. it's very difficult to then say. Well this is how you control something because there is no evidence to fall back on apart from things they'll related but not the same and when you've got that difference and it's a fluid situation where it's always a moving target because as we might one step forward things change the then mean. The virus takes a step foot. We've seen that with the various example. It's been tricky all the while it's been a massive learning process at every stage to work out how we can best out this challenge and we are not there yet. I mean my my mistake. My biggest mistake. I think was anticipating that we would have solved this problem by now. I honestly thought that by now We we would have been on the road closer to home for
