"As stand up comedy, Chris Rock is a genius, been a fan for decades. It was not great. It wasn't bad, please. He even him on an off night is still a pretty great. I think it's clear that Dave Chappelle has lapped him in terms of both being funny and being intriguing and compelling. But what everybody was waiting for was his riff on the Will Smith slap. It was pretty masterful. It was pretty darn great. He spared nothing. And going off on will, on Jada, their weirdness, their entanglements, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. All other things being equal, it was quite the spectacle. It started out with some attacks on wokeness and some attacks on victimhood talked about Meghan Markle and about how she always thought that the royal family was so racist. It's so racist. They want to know how Brown the baby is going to be. That's racist. She said, that's not racist. Black people wanted to know how Brown the baby was going to be. And the one thing off the beginning just the first 5 minutes has had the notion that words hurt. Anybody who says that words hurt has never been hit in the face. "About the news that prince Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, is allegedly distraught over her portrayal in the South Park comic as a whining privileged narcissistic, you know, woke actress who just doesn't get it. Well, now I'm not saying it's easy to be a royal, right? Believe me. I'm sure I'm sure it's a tough gig. And I'm sure it's especially hard for her because she's not the star. But that's kind of the way it goes, right? Because, well, she was never going to be the star, and she was delusional. She ever thought she would be. Anyway, I do want to say I applaud the decision by The Crown or the firm as it's known to actually encourage future offspring and not encourage or telling them. You know, you're going to have to go get a job. So princess Charlotte is going to have to go get a job. You're not going to be a working royal for the rest of your life. I think that's incredibly healthy, but you know me. I'm a big believer in work. And I think people need purpose. And I think part of the problem with what has transpired there is you had the younger brother who was never going to be anything. I mean, look what happened to his uncle. He never had a chance to kind of be his own man. He was just waiting in the wings. And as a result, has been quite troubled in many ways. And then you get Meghan Markle, who perhaps thought she was smarter than everyone else. Well, she clearly had no idea what she was getting into.

Danielle D'Souza Gill Talks Prince Harry's New Book 'Spare'
"I'm back with Daniel d'souza gill author of the choice, the abortion divide in America, host of the show counterculture with Danielle d'souza gill. We're talking about the royal family and Harry prince Harry and Meghan Markle. It seems like the focus on these two characters has come mainly because of the Netflix special, which was a kind of revealing, although maybe not revealing in the way they intended interview series of interviews with Harry and Meghan Markle. And also Harry's new book spare, can you first of all, am I right in assuming that the title spare is an implication that Harry is referring to the fact that sort of his brother is the first in line. He's the real deal. He's the legitimate heir and Harry is kind of the spare? I mean, Harry makes some pretty wild accusations in his books fair, which is the only reason that it's apparently the number one selling book in the Guinness World Records beating Obama to sell the most number of copies in the first date was released. And it's not because he decided to share some childhood memories of playing in some kind of field in England. It's because he wanted to really spill a lot of tea on the British family. So some of the main accusations he made were. William and him got into a physical fight, William, you know, through I grabbed him by the collar, threw him on the ground, and he cut his back on a dog bowl. Just Charles, like when he was young, said, oh, Diana, thanks for giving me a spare. Harry's my spare. He makes claims about Camilla, you know, kind of being able stepmother. He makes claims about Kate Middleton, mostly regarding her fights with Meghan, basically how Meghan was the good one and Kate was kind of the dumb one or something. And so he's very into kind of doing these personal jabs at each person, which is why so many people have been intrigued by the book. I have been buying the book because they want to see what's in it.

"You were talking a moment ago about the fact that the royal family is sort of stayed out of politics, and it seemed that the queen, the late queen, was, you know, also stoical in her personality, tended to hold her emotions and check in that sense, reflected the personality of an earlier era. Would you agree that it was starting with lady Diana that we began to see a kind of a new sensibility within the royal family, which is the idea of being a royal as a form of self expression. I say this because it seems to me some of what's going on with Harry and with Meghan Markle is an extension of what happened with lady Diana. Do you agree or do you think that they're actually very different? I would say they're different. Some people say Megan is like Diana. Megan herself has keeps trying to imitate Diana. She will wear the same outfits as her. She claims she never knew who the royals were. She never followed any of this. Other people who knew her have claimed differently. But it's pretty clear that she has tried to put herself in that line because Harry has this kind of obsession with his mother's death. So I think that was something that Meghan did strategically to make herself seem like a new Diana. However, Diana was really the people's princess and she was loved by many people. She was even though she had a lot of problems that was more of her at least brand whereas Meghan is more of someone who most people dislike, even before this book came out. She really wasn't very popular. She was popular around the time of her wedding, which is when kind of the royals and we're still getting along with her at least as far as the world's thought they were getting along. And most people were really excited about this new person joining their royal family. People thought it was cool. She was of another race and so on. And so I think only really after that after Meghan joined the royal family, did her popularity go down as soon as she kind of started acting in ways that were diva esque, like things were released about from her staff about her kind of being abusive towards them. Other people and then I think the pattern just continued of her. Sort of acting in that entitled way,

"Before we begin to look forward to another year of dystopian corruption, let's engage in a little look back on the year that was in the form of an award show. Not just any awards show, we're going to hand out awards to this year's biggest losers. Trash awards for the trashiest people and institutions whose contributions played a big part in the transformation of our country into a hellscape. The awards for the biggest losers this year signify decorations for dereliction, kudos for corruption, accolades for abuse, laurels for laziness and trophies for terribleness. Our first category is the award for most ungrateful scold. Hands down, this award has to go to Meghan Markle. The former member of British royalty and professional crier when she's on camera. Meghan and her former prince of husband Harry, who claims to be a tortured soul himself, have renounced their obligations to the British royalty. But want to keep as much of their royal brand. Money, security, and lifestyle as possible. In order to start a kind of media grift, knocking the British royalty. This was most aptly exemplified in their countless interviews, whether that be with Oprah or in their own multi part documentary on Netflix. The only documentary to show a tortured couple living in a $30 million home in montecito, yet who claimed to be victims. And literally, no one on the entire planet gets why Meghan has chosen this course of action. Harry and Meghan truly hated the media as they claimed throughout their documentary, then they could have chosen to live a quiet life out of the limelight away from the media. But no, they love media attention, and a camera crew is Meghan's best friend. That's why she hired one to photograph her when she went to pay her respects to victims of a school shooting. Very heartfelt Meg, and you can't let that photo op pass you by.

"Outside and just looking out for themselves and their family seems to be Harry and Meghan or maybe not their family. They're not really looking out for the family in terms of the broad family. This is just unbelievable this documentary. I actually haven't watched any of it. I've been very, very, very busy here at the Miss America pageant because I judged all the prelims and I'm judging tonight. So I really haven't had a lot of extra time on my hands. And not that I'd ever watched this thing anyway, but I have read the reviews because the country seems pretty preoccupied by it. And I've read the ratings, which are quite good on the second one anyway. You see, because that's what America likes, they like fireworks, and they like a hot mess. And this is one big hot mess. And it's unfortunate in its sad in some ways. It's perhaps better that the queen doesn't have to see this because I think she'd be totally devastated. The sense of duty, the sense of loyalty, clearly, like that doesn't exist with this crew. They're all upset because you know they got put in some cottage on the palace's grounds that was just unacceptable, apparently Oprah came to tea and Oprah was horrified that they were living in this little cottage, people wouldn't believe it. And you know, Meghan Markle probably had some very big ideas about where she needed to be, what she thought royal life was like. Look, if you know anybody who's British, they did this crimp a little bit. They're not like ostentatious. They do like to garden. She was complaining about that. They thought I was going to garden well, yeah, they probably thought that because a lot of British people really like that and they're actually not as flashy as the LA crowd. She couldn't really get her head around that. I don't doubt in fairness to her and her husband. I don't doubt that the royal PR team when there were challenges and maybe somebody else had screwed up. Maybe they fed Megan to the wolves because this is what happens, right? I've seen it happen over and over again, including to myself. I mean, that does happen within organizations. And they're like, oh, you know, there's this really good story over here, but maybe we just feed them this little thing. And that'll distract them. So that does happen, and I don't doubt that. But I think this idea that she couldn't work through it or she couldn't really try and forge a path forward. That's tough. I mean, she just really gave up really fast. The difference between seher and her sister in law was her sister in law went through a lot of that in the beginning you'll recall, but ultimately she just won them over,

Fast forward a century, and some change, and the situation seems to be playing itself out once more, but to an entirely different end. This time, instead of money, the marriage seems to be an attempt to inject some celebrity and Internet influencer clout into the royal family. I am speaking of the marriage of Hollywood actress Meghan Markle and prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. Meghan was born and raised in California with an acting resume that includes shows like CSI, general hospital, suits, and movies like get him to the Greek, horrible bosses, and remember me. And with a stint as a briefcase girl in deal or no deal, you would think she'd be used to being celebrity. After all, the royal job detail basically requires living in wealth and comfort while occasionally smiling and waving. But alas, such was not the life for Harry and Meghan, a mere two years later after their 2018 marriage came the megxit.

"You were deported from Australia. Look, we may have covered it on the show, but who cares? People don't listen to this show so assiduously that they will be familiar with everything. I who am here don't remember whether we cover it. Maybe we didn't, because you and I missed each other, I think, on my last time here in America. But yeah, so I was remember lockdowns and Australian lockdowns were some of the worst. Which didn't make sense to me. There's a lot of counterintuitive madness. I mean, the fact that Israel was so vicious on the sick dead baby vaccines, forced everyone to get that. Australia, I never would have thought that they would have been so crazy. Yeah, they were crazy. So two years, you weren't allowed to leave the island. And if you were out of country and the wrong side of that, you weren't allowed to return to your home. So you could be on the road with children and you weren't allowed to come back home, or you could have a dying relative, and you weren't allowed to get there. And at the same time, some idiots from TV Land decided to bring me into the country, and I've never been vax. And that's why you're still alive. Did you hear about the 64 year old gorilla that just died? Well, two days after getting the Pfizer vaccine. But thank you. Go ahead. I was like, what? Yeah, I know. So someone in TV Land decided they were going to make a TV program during lockdown called celebrity big brother. It's a terrible program, and no one watches it, but basically they put some celebrities who aren't in a house together and then people watch them argue. That's how that works. So I was brought into the country during lockdown along with Caitlyn Jenner and at the time she was running the gubernatorial race in California. Thomas Markle, Meghan Markle's brother. You get the gist. This is awful. It was terrible. So they brought me into the country. She was like 6 foot 5. I saw, I saw him in a room and I just thought to myself, you know, in a magazine cover, you can fool people. But in person, this is a gigantic person. Yeah. Okay, so you're in a room with all these lovely people. So I'm brought into the country ahead of that because you have to do 15 days in isolation. So I get taken to my isolation prison, right? And my husband said to me, and you're getting a gist of it because you've spent some time with me. Lovely Mark said, you know, I don't see that going so well for you, little birdie, which is what he calls me. Because like a day in my own company, I don't know why you're laughing the taxes. Because I love the idea that he calls you little birdie. Yeah, he goes, I don't see it going well. Because today in my own company is a lot. I need people.

On today's Patreon, I had some examples of why she believes her mental health is such that Harry got her someone to talk to on a weekly basis. I mean, life is tough for a Hollywood actress who goes on to marry a prince, right? And then live in a mansion in montecito. She actually said on her podcast the other day that there was a time where she didn't know if she could go on anymore. And that time wasn't too long ago. But wait, there's more. So now, sources say prince Harry and Meghan rely on their furry friends to get them through the hard times. 'cause Harry just admitted that he and his wife have three. Emotional support talks. Three. One is not enough. These pricks have to have three. Is that how screwed up they are? What would you think of a person walk by you and had three emotional support animals? There are people who survived the World Trade Center, collapsing, and don't have one emotional support dog.

"May again Markle hopped on her podcast today and decided to call some people out. So in a return to her Spotify podcast, archetypes, worst title ever, she takes on one of the most prominent stereotypes of Asian women on screen, the dragon lady. She said, movies like Austin Powers and kill Bill. They presented these caricatures of women of Asian descent as over centralized or aggressive. She's talking about fuku and fuk me in Austin Powers goldmember and Lucy Liu's hyper violent already she until Bill. She said that such characterizations go at least as far back as 1924 when Anna May Wong played a scheming Mongol slave opposite Douglas Fairbanks in the thief of Baghdad, okay? I wonder how she felt about Mickey Rooney playing mister yunioshi in breakfast at Tiffany's. Or even David Carradine playing Mark kwai Chang Caine in Kung fu. But Meghan Markle maintained that this toxic stereotyping of women of Asian descent. This doesn't just end once the credits roll. Oh, she feels everybody's pain. As a case in point, she introduces sociologist Nancy Wang yoon, who wrote about the dragon lady stereotype in her book real inequality, real with two E's. Everything is equality, equity, inclusion, you and told the story of being catcalled by a man using a line out of full metal jacket while she was traveling to an academic conference. She said, I myself have been proposition in an airport in Atlanta of all places by a stranger who said me so horny. He just yelled it out to me. Now at this point, this podcast should be a fun podcast. Who doesn't laugh at me so horny? She said, I knew why because I looked around and I thought, and I saw that I was the only Asian woman in that area. I knew he was talking to me, even though I don't even know if he ever saw full metal jacket. Okay, listen to me, honey. So because one idiot quoted a line from a film by maybe the greatest director of all time. Therefore, that makes full metal jacket a bad movie.

"Yeah, crime is up everywhere, man. Meghan Markle and prince Harry are scared. And their neighborhood. They're leaving their $14 million montecito home. There's no crime in montecito. There's not even flower boxes that get pushed over. So they have their sights on that. I'm very exclusive California private community called hope branch. People say the couple have, well, their current sprawling home doesn't properly accommodate them. Because they're a family of four. I don't know what that means it's too big or too small, but nothing I'm on aceto small, hope ranch is a suburb of Santa Barbara, California. Very affluent community, a lot of equestrians there. There's a nearby country club, there's a tennis court, a golf club, almost 30 miles of horse track riding trails, because all the 10% of the community owned horses there. The room while they're moving, this is the rumor. There was a news story that came out that there's a bling ring type of style, you know, out of area, death gang. And apparently they heard through the Grapevine that they had the Dutch and the duke and duchess montecito neighborhood on their hit list. Yeah, I mean, it's a great place to go Robin. It's got money everywhere. I mean, Adam Levine's out there, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Ellen DeGeneres. Yeah. Make a lot of money out there with a bling ring. And I don't want to see these two git hurt, but I wouldn't mind finding out they got robbed. Like a Kim Kardashian Paris style robbery. Megan Markle needs that. There's always something that's hard on them. The family was harder than the queen was hard. They want their privacy. Her stupid podcast, his complete befuddled face everywhere.

An Identity Crisis of Royal Proportions
"Think the problem for the royals is that they, they don't know whether to be ancient or moderns. Now Queen Elizabeth clearly in that sense was an ancient by which I mean almost a creature from the 19th century. And then on the other hand, you have the moderns, the now the age of the moderns with the royalty began with lady die. And lady Diana was the quintessential modern. Emoting in public and these are my feelings and, you know, I'm here as a princess and I'm here. She was kind of on a personal journey. Now, if you think about what it means to be a king or a prince and royalty, it's not about being on a personal journey. So contrast the queen for whom the queen always spoke in the language of duty. I see this as a task. This is a kind of assignment that I've been given you may say by history and I'm discharging it with a sense of acceptance and perhaps even of obligation. I think the problem for the royalty is that both the old virtues and the kind of new style are today you have to ask why because to some degree I suppose Charles is a little bit more like his mom than he is like Diana. But on the other hand, Charles is almost a parody of his mom. He has an extremely weird life, he's got this weird consort, Camilla Parker Bowles. He messed up his whole marriage. I think Charles ultimately was responsible for that. So he's not exactly an admirable exemplar of the old world. And then you've got these bratty offspring of whom I think particularly who's the younger guy, honey, is it Harry? Harry and Meghan Markle, this is sort of the grotesque progeny. And so you have to ask, if you've got people who would rather be, have I'd rather have a Netflix deal than live in Balmoral Castle.

"This is sunny hostin. Look, the United States was built on the backs of black and brown. And we want our reparations. And you know, the Americans. The Catholic church was built on the black and the backs of people who back in black and brown people who were forced to convert to Catholicism. So I think there's a lot of that that we're coming to terms with. And I think one of the things that Charles can do to get some popularity is maybe take some time away from speaking to his plants and speak to this issue. Yeah. Recognize this issue. We're speaking with a person speaking to his plants. And maybe bring his family back together after the allegations of racism that have been made by duchess Meghan Markle and her husband, his son, prince Harry. Maybe they can address that as well. So again, ladies and gentlemen, it's a load of hooey what they're talking about. But here's more from sunny hostin. I studied in London. And so I lived in London. For a while. And I got caught up in the pomp and circumstance of it all as well. I wanted to see the changing of the guards. I wanted to see everything. I wanted to meet the queen. And now what you're seeing at least in the black communities that I'm a part of, they want reparations. You know, Barbados left at left the left, the sort of this monarchy, this colonization. Often women are definitely putting these different boxes when we are ambitious or when we do have goals or with the negative connotation on how we reach the goals. But even for little girls in a schoolroom, right? If a little girl is ambitious or raises her hand more. What does she call? Bossy. I was reading an article about how girls tend to raise their hand less and less as time goes on because they're confident starts to fade because of the things that they're called. Hopefully we can teach our girls to continue to raise their hand and to be fearless. Do you believe that you were made to believe that being ambitious was a bad thing? Yeah, 'cause since I was raised in the 40s.

So you're kind of inextricably linked to her at this point ever since you did her wedding makeup. So do you still do her makeup? Often, are you Friends? Tell us everything. We are really good friends. I still see her for makeup. really lucky that after all this we've been able to maintain our friendship and we've been friends for about 12 years now. That's amazing. Today's episode is all about getting ready for those summer soirees and looking great in photos. And I have to know, if you were doing a bride's makeup this summer, how would you make it 2022? I've always done the same type of makeup and that's kind of like what I've been known for. What would you say is your signature? It's always about being able to let the skin look like skin. And eyes lip cheek, whatever it is. It's like an accessory to the face. So whether it's a pop of color on the eye or pop a color on the lib. I look at color on the faces like an accessory. So you kind of have to hone in and play up that one feature that you love and that let that be the statement earring or the statement necklace. So it's always been a respect to the skin first, and then everything afterwards is just like an accessory. So I think for me, again, going back to skin, it's like, I don't think anyone really wants to wear so much makeup when it's so hot out. So it's trying to find the skin care that works underneath it, whether it's a primer or a moisturizer or a foundation or a tinted moisturizer, something that's going to make your skin feel comfortable. Right. And you don't want to feel like you have to keep touching up the rest of the night. Yeah. Because who has time for that? You want to celebrate, you want to drink, you want to have it. You don't want to have to worry about your face cracking or melting or falling apart. Yeah, absolutely. So it's like those same Staples that you, but it's always still about the skin. Yeah, yeah. Got it. And how do you strike the balance? Okay, this is something that I think about all the time. How do you strike the balance between looking good in person and looking good in photos? Because frankly, I've seen a lot of brides and celebrities too for that matter. Sometimes in person, they look kind of cakey or a little bit like they're wearing a mask, but then in their pictures they look really good. So what is what's the key there? You know everything's retouched. Everyone has a filter now. So the execution afterwards, I mean, that's.

Ouch. So in a new article in the times, it's a very fancy newspaper in London. They did a massive article to celebrate Kate turning 14 they spoke to lots of Friends, advisers were relayed, even anonymous sources with connection to the duchess. One anonymous source who cited as a friend told the newspaper that Kate is a 150% more reserved than William. We know that she's very, very reserved. However, the most they've ever seen her express her views on Meghan Markle was when she jokingly rolled her eyes at the mention of suits. Suits is the legal drama that Meghan starred on. So somebody brought up suits and cage jokingly. We should make sure we point that out. Her eyes, the reason this is the notice of the day is that this is going to start another round of drama between these two ladies and honestly, all my sources tell me, it's not there. They're not best Friends, but they don't hate each other. They don't despise each other. They're not going to start the drama. The press is going to stop the drama. Not here at naughty, but nice, but you know how the press likes to stir things up. They do. They do. I think too. I liked it when Meghan said. You can love Kate and you don't have to hate me, and you can love me and you don't have to hate Kate. We don't have to pit these two against each other and naughtiest of the day. I don't post any negativity. And here's a little tip that I'm going to give all you not tease out there. Sometimes it's hard to imagine the life you want. So find a couple of magazines that you're about to toss out, cut out pictures of things that make you happy, post them on a board or you can use your computer and pull photos off the Internet and make yourself a copy of that and look at it every day because even though you're not telling yourself your mind sees the pictures and it starts to take in those images. So you can actually create the life you want by looking at the things you'd love to have. That is such good advice mister. Surround yourself visually with things that bring you joy. I follow an enormous amount an enormous amount of doggies on my Instagram. They make me happy. I love dogs..

And a lot of people instantly get defensive and start attacking the fact that they have so many resources and help with their children. Which I totally understand that, but I feel like that does not make it right either. Then if you turn the tables around and say that to her, now you're doing the same thing that she did. We're just assuming that because they have the ability to have all this help and they have a lot of money and they're famous that their parenting experience is a joke or it's not difficult at all. They wouldn't have struggles. Which I don't think is accurate either, I think, no matter what someone has going on in their life, I think parenting is still difficult and everyone is going to have things that they find difficult that somebody else might not find difficult. It's very situation dependent. Also, I think what she was saying, I took the parenting comment as you're not parenting like guiding and shaping a little human, but what I think she was saying was that it's easier with one kid and now with two, it's a lot harder, which fair enough, I get that. But to say having one kid is a hobby, it was a little much. It's a little much. Things that I think her comment was more so like, oh, when you have one kid, it's way easier. Which I disagree with completely because it's not how many children someone has. It's a million things. Besides just that, it's like, what is their support system like? What's their mental health like? What's their physical health like, do they have previous attachment trauma from their own childhood that now they're trying to work through? Their child, children, the temperament of children and babies vary so greatly. Some children are quote unquote easier than other children. What is the child's health like financially? Do they have difficulties paying the bills and getting food on the table? Their overall level of stress in life. There's so many things that would make one situation much more difficult, regardless of how many children they have. So I do think the comment was a little bit invalidating. So if I was the parent to one child and I was really struggling and then someone called it a hobby on national television, I would be super offended. And I know Meghan Markle in the past has spoken out a lot about dealing with mental health issues, and it would be the same thing if someone said like mental health issues, like you have so much money, how can you have mental health issues? You know, like completely invalidating her experience of struggling with mental.

So that's what I'm going to talk about in a little bit, but first I wanted to talk about using a timer with Milo because it has been amazing. I don't know where my husband like my husband just all of a sudden started doing it for bedtime because before we put him to bed, we snuggle and we watch some of his shows on YouTube kids. Usually we watch other people put Legos together. But anyways, before we would always give him a warning, you know, okay, 5 more minutes. Okay, three more minutes. Okay, one more minute. And then we would take him to bed. But with the timer, it's been amazing. And there's usually no. Pushback from him because it's like we tell him that we're setting the timer for X number of minutes. And then we, as the timer gets closer and closer, we still kind of let him know, like, okay, there's two minutes left now. And then the alarm goes off. And we turn off the TV right away. And he just knows that it's time to go. It's so bizarre. It was funny last night. I was like, okay, ten more minutes. I'm gonna set the timer for ten minutes, and he was like, no, mummy said it for 7 minutes. And I was like, okay. So yeah, we've been using it for countdown before we go upstairs to have a bath to count down getting out of the bath to count down going to bed. And it's been amazing. So I highly recommend using the timer method we just use it on our phones..

Because england doesn't allow commercials for prescription drugs and it never even crossed my mind. That medicine was say like was promoted. I didn't it. Did not even cross my mind that that was the thing brits were like you lot get bombarded like this daily and american medical adverts are some real dystopia and like how is the cream for your joints going to give you cancer.
