"All right, America, welcome back and we're looking at this developing story in Michigan where the right to work has been a cornerstone of a plan to make it a top ten state for business. But the repeal of that law would be a step backwards and this is the current situation on the ground in Michigan. I want to go to Kim who's on the phone calling from Michigan with a quick comic. Kim, go right ahead. You're on with rich Valdez and Mark mix. Hi, Rick. Hi, rich and Mark. Yeah, I wanted to bring that up that since we lost this last election really bad. They're trying to repeal that. And they're calling people freeloaders that. It just makes it harder. It's the right right to work. It doesn't come out of their paycheck. Somebody has to write a check for their dues to their union. And if they don't want to, they don't have to. But because we're almost all Democrat here, they want to take that right away from people. And it's going to hurt us. Do I have time to ask another question? Well, we'll put it right there for now just to make sure we have enough time to get the response from Mark mix. Go right ahead, sir. Yeah, unfortunately, that's going to happen tomorrow. The House representatives last week basically passed the repeal of right to work. It went from a committee right to the floor and it was voted out on the house board. The Senate is going to take up the bill tomorrow morning and they're going to have it in committee and pass that a committee probably around 11 o'clock. They will put it on the Senate floor, probably around two and by probably 3 o'clock with a time limit on the debate. They will have it heading to governor Whitmer's desk and she has indicated she's going to sign it. And immediately, well, when the legislature adjourns and it goes into effect, money will be taken out of the paychecks of every single automotive worker in Michigan who is heretofore decided they didn't want to support the United auto workers union for one. And that will happen if they don't pay if they don't agree that they will lose their job. Michigan's been one of as you mentioned rich, one of the engines of manufacturing job growth and private sector job growth in the country over the last ten years. The previous ten years prior to rights works passage and prior to governor Snyder's agenda as making Michigan open for business again, they have been really successful in growing manufacturing jobs, growing private sector jobs. And this is basically going to set them back and the states, the work, the work will go to the other 26 right to work states in the country, Michigan is going to miss out on that. All because the Democrats took over and the first thing they're going to do in a big policy is they're going to force workers to pay union dues to keep their jobs in Michigan. Makes a lot of sense. And this is important now. Just based on you keeping your ear to the ground and being at the forefront of this movement, Mark mix. What's your take on how this actually plays out tomorrow? Well, it's going to pass. They've got the votes. The bill that the bill that's designed to repeal the right to work law every single Democrat senators co sponsored the bill and they have a 22 18 or 2018 majority in the Senate. So there's two votes and of course lieutenant governor would break a tie if that's the case. But yeah, it's pretty certain they're pretty certain. In fact, I think the AFL CIO has reserved the capital steps for tomorrow and for Thursday. So it may be that governor Whitmer doesn't sign it until Thursday, but the Senate probably is going to pass the repeal tomorrow afternoon. Wow. Now let's circle back quickly to your experience in the Senate hearing where you testified in front of the committee, the help committee. Tell us, did you feel that your comments were well received? I know that you were there alongside the heads of unions like the teamsters and AFL CIO, did they say, hey, man, it's great to have Mark mix here. Well, probably not, rich. You know, I thought we made an impact and we submit a testimony talking about the work that our foundation does on behalf of workers. We literally represent tens of thousands of workers who object to being compelled to pay dues or fees to a private organization. They disagree with. And so I had some of those stories in my testimony and we talked about individual freedom and basically it just bounced off of chairman Sanders and the rest of the Democrats on the committee. They want to talk about repealing all the right to work laws with federal law. Bill called the so called proactive as alleged to basically protect your right to organize, which is already written into federal law. It was written into that federal law we talked about in the first segment about the Wagner act and the nationally relations act. So it's just about power and it's about money. Rich unions are a $25 billion a year business. They invest literally billions every two years in politics and you might be able to guess which party benefits from those billions of political spending. Yeah, yeah. And their allies in the media, which leads me to I guess my next question, perhaps my final question given the clock. But I'm going to guess and maybe I'm wrong. I hope I am. But I know that I saw that you had your testimony just recently in Washington. I said, you know, that's a topic we should probably discuss. It's not one we hear about often on the news. And we should probably get a better sense of this. Did any of my counterparts in radio or even print journalism? From The New York Times or The Washington Post, did anybody contact you to do an in depth interview on this topic? No, they didn't. And it's because we got overwhelmed by an argument between senator markwayne mullin of Oklahoma and Sean O'Brien, the teamster president. Those two had a pretty big oral argument in Bernie Sanders almost broke the gap while trying to get them to come to order. They were arguing back and forth about lots of things senator Mullen was talking about, why do you need to force people? Why do you do this? And Sean O'Brien objected to that line of questioning. So that was really the storyline of the hearing, that got most of the press, but no rich to your point. This is something that the big establishment media doesn't want to talk about, because they know that Ada can Americans believe it's wrong to force workers into a private organization or pay union dues in order to get her keep a job in America

"That is our telephone number. Let's go to Tony and Georgia. Hi, Tony, what's on your mind? Hey. How are you doing Todd? I'm wondering why we're not talking about Candace Owens. What did she do now? I just wanted to run with chat. Do you not establishment? As a renovate, Candace Owens from the daily wire. Yes. What do you like about her? I have some reservations, but I'm curious what makes her your pick. She can go get her. And she when she has something she wants to do, she goes and gets this and gets things done. Okay, does that make her, I mean, could she be the president? I mean, if Trump were to not be able to, I'm talking about vice president. I think she good. You think so. All right. I don't know about that, Tony. I mean, she's a good communicator. I'm still not quite clear of her conservative credentials. To be honest with you, she is a relatively new convert. I guess over the past 5 or 6 years to the conservative way of life. And again, nothing wrong with that. But I just have, I have some I'm not too sure about that. Okay. And the one thing about Trump, I'm all Trump. I think we should have presidents after 75 years old. The reason I say that is because of what's going on now. Well, and that is a fair argument, Tony. Fair argument. All right, appreciate that call. Let's go to Bill in Tennessee kwam. Bill real quick, what's your iPhone story? Help me out here. Hey, Tom. A couple of days ago. And I can't put difference between the charging. And I'm going to tell you this iPhone 13 that I have, it holds its battery from the time I wake up in the morning till midnight. Is that right? The best charge battery I've ever had in an iPhone. You see, I always, I always upgrade and I'm just wondering if all the new devices like the cameras and all that kind of stuff it just sucks the life right out of the battery. I think they do. But I don't do a lot with my phone. I work with it. And I'm on the phone all day long. But I don't do a lot of games and stuff like that. So I don't know if I'm normal or not, but my 11 did not hold the charge like this one does. Put it on charges three four times a day. I'm such a loser. I shouldn't admit this. I only have one game on my phone and it's solitaire. Is that terrible? That is not terrible. It's solitaire and I have words with Friends. Oh, there you go. Oh, that's good. I have some games. My daughter had on there, when she was a little bit, I've never taken off, but they don't get used, you know? Bill appreciate the Intel. Yeah, we gotta skedaddle here and recharge, and pay some bills. But I appreciate that. Hang tight, everybody. We got senator markwayne mullin coming up also your calls. I want to hear from you, iPhone people. We'll be right back. All right, welcome back to the Todd star's radio program. I'm happy to have you with us today, ladies and gentlemen. Hope it hope the sun is shining where you are. Hey, let's go right now to the patriot mobile newsmaker line from the great state of Oklahoma. Our good friend senator markwayne mallen, senator, hope you're doing good today. Todd, I'm doing okay. I'm in D.C., the concrete jungle. I'm a lot better when I'm back home, but listen, if this isn't still on or be up here, so it's not a bad day. It's just not a great day. No, look, I understand. I've been in D.C.. I get you. And of course, we'll be there in a couple of days for cpac and it'll be a bit more enjoyable with more conservatives inside the beltway. I mean, what a great opportunity to actually flood this liberal town that has tent cities and around our national monuments now. I mean, I drove the other day past one army museums and then the corner. There was a whole tent city set up. And I'm like, you know, what in the world? I expect to see this when I'm in Lima Peru, but not in the not here in the nation's capital, so it'll be nice to finally put conservatives in here and we might actually. We're not going to outrun outnumber the liberals here in this town, but we'll actually be able to add a little bit of common sense to this place..

Our good friend senator markwayne Malin, senator, hope you're doing good today. Todd, I'm doing okay. I'm in D.C., the concrete jungle. I'm a lot better when I'm back home, but listen, if this isn't still on or be up here, so it's not a bad day. It's just not a great day. No, look, I understand. I've been in D.C.. I get you. We're not going to outrun outnumber the liberals here in this town, but we'll actually be able to add a little bit of common sense to this place. You know, senator, what I find strange about that is you would think even the Democrats would be concerned about their own safety with, for example, union station, and back when I was at Fox News channel, I was in and out of that building, and it looked like a homeless center a war zone, even back several years ago. I can only imagine what it's like today. You know that beautiful fountains in front of union station. Yeah. This summer, they had to shut it down and drain it because the homeless population was swimming and taken baths in it. I'm not kidding. I mean, that's how bad it is right now. Sir, I have a place up here because I have to have to have a place to stay. And you can't even you can't even get packaged delivered because your packages are stolen about as fast as they drop them off. At the crime is just so rampant through here. It is absolutely absurd. There is used to being on Capitol Hill was considered somewhat of a safe area. And D.C. has always been a little bit rough. When you leave, when you get out to the farther away from Capitol Hill. Now here on capital hill, you and what the problem is, is this place was shut down for two years. Two years, kids in this and D.C. didn't go to school. And you're not just going to turn the switch on and all of a sudden make them go to school for two years. You had a lot of kids running around the town with had a lot of idle time on their hands and what does it say? It says, idle the hands of the devil's playground and the crime has ran rapid rampant and now you have extremely liberal drug policies where people are openly walking down the road with a blunt in their hand. And then they don't prosecute. You have gains of UTVs and ATVs and motorcycles that run up and down the streets and they've literally just blocked the streets off and they've been told not to not to interfere with them. That will do whatever they want. And I'm going to common sense on this. We're a nation of laws and either we force enforce those laws or we don't because if you allow them to break some of them and then you think you're going to enforce the others you're kidding yourself, that if you allow them to break laws, they're going to continue to get bolder and boulder on breaking bigger and bigger laws..

"This is national native news. I'm Antonio Gonzalez. President Biden and his State of the Union address Tuesday night touched on several issues which are priorities for tribes across the country from economic development to COVID-19 recovery, broadband to healthcare. Biden mentioned tribal communities in his remarks when talking about the infrastructure law to fund projects and create jobs. The law set aside billions of dollars for Indian country for high speed Internet, water, and electricity projects, climate issues, and a number of other investments. Biden touted work being done by his administration and he called the State of the Union strong. In statements, Republican Oklahoma Native American lawmakers, U.S. senator markwayne mullin and congressman Tom Cole, were critical of Biden's State of the Union, both expressing frustration with the president and saying they did not hear solutions or plans to move the nation forward. In a statement, democratic Native American representative sharice davids from Kansas expressed a need for bipartisanship in Congress, a similar sentiment was made on Twitter by democratic Alaska native representative Mary peltola, who called bipartisanship hard and messy, but worth it. Meanwhile, guests at the State of the Union included Navajo Nation president bu nigrin as the tribe's new president took his first official trip to Washington this week. Nigra was a guest of democratic Arizona senator Mark Kelly and Lynette bonnard was a guest and First Lady Jill Biden's viewing box. She was recognized for helping establish a cancer center on the Navajo Nation. A new clinic in Rapid City South Dakota combines up modern design and treatments with native culture. Now, patients are being accepted ahead of the planned construction schedule, South Dakota public broadcasting CJ Keane checks in. The oya health center sits on a plot in west Rapid City on the campus of the old Sioux San hospital. Gerald church is president and CEO of the great plains tribal health board. She says, while bittersweet, leaving Sue San represents a reclamation of tribal sovereignty. There's so much history in that old building. It started as a boarding school, and then it transitioned into a tuberculosis center. And then it turned into a hospital, but all of those entities were federally run facilities. And I think what oya health center symbolizes is a new era of tribally managed healthcare. Church says embracing sovereignty will have tangible benefits for patients. What we are embracing here is wellness, not only from the physical standpoint, but we support and recognize that our emotional well-being is such an important part of our overall wellness, right? And so when our relatives come into this building, they'll recognize that which is familiar to them. And as a reminder that this is a safe place. The new space also increases capacity. Will be able to expand our primary care to a lot more than we are doing now in the current facility. But what will also be able to do is provide specialty care. We have partners in the community that we hope will be joining us to for those services that we routinely refer out. The fate of Sue San hospital is unclear and the final decision is in the hands of the Indian health service. For national native news and Rapid City, I'm CJ keen. NASA astronaut Nicole Mann told U.S. lawmakers on Tuesday, she's proud to represent Native Americans in space and hopes to inspire younger generations. We need to inspire the youth. We need to empower them to dream, to help them achieve their goals. And so that's the advice that I would give to that young generation. It starts with an idea, starts with a thought, a dream, but it doesn't stop there. Man spoke to the U.S. Senate committee on Indian affairs on a live video call from the International Space Station. Man is the first Native American woman to go to space. I'm Antonia Gonzalez.

"Slash tribal relations. Native voice one the Native American radio network. Welcomed a native America calling, I'm Sean spruce. Most election experts predict Oklahoma chickasaw incumbent Republican representative Tom Cole will likely keep his seat. His current colleague, Republican Cherokee representative markwayne mullin is giving up his seat in the house for a likely win in the Senate race. Many other national races with native candidates are less certain. In Kansas, one of the first native congresswomen sharice davids, who is Ho chunk is facing a tight race against GOP opponents, and Alaska, yupik representative Mary poll tolla, who won the special election to replace the late Don young, will have to face off again with Republican challenger, Sarah Palin. Today, we're talking with political experts who will break down some of the races in the election and a little over three weeks. As usual, it follows a pleasure to be here and you have a very good topic today. It's really exciting for midterms. Well, Judy, I think for you, the elections, it's kind of like you're Super Bowl. You're always so geared up and you pay so much attention. I think it's just, you're so passionate about it, and it just comes across. Whenever you speak, so of course, the pleasures are, as well, to have you on the show. And OJ, let's get started. I mean, we're in the home stretch of what's shaping up to be some very tight races for native candidates in some of these elections and we mentioned earlier one of whom is the well-known congresswoman from Kansas, sheree davids. She was first elected in 2018, of course, a historic event that gave native America its first two native congresswomen, but now four years later, she seriously at risk of losing her seat. Why is Charisse's campaign struggling? Well, it's not Teresa's campaign. What happened is we had the U.S. Census and then we had redistricting. The point where she won, it was like as a Democrat of plus two or where she was basically at a walk in. But now, since the redistribution, it went Republican plus one. So she is doing everything that she needs to do on her campaign is just that when they ship those numbers around where they put more of the opposing party in the district, you're running for, it just makes it that more difficult. She's got uphill battle, but you know, I have confidence and not Charisse and I have confidence in her campaign and I have confidence with the good people of Kansas within her district to see that

"We no longer have a woman representing Manhattan in Congress. Last night, Nadler, thank maloney. And I will return to Congress with a mandate to fight for the causes so many of us know to be right. Nadler will face Republican Mike zimbalist. In another key congressional race, Daniel Goldman won in the tenth district over a fellow Democrat uline knew 26 to 24%. Goldman faces Republican Denny hampden in November. In the 17th district, Sean Patrick maloney chair of the House Democrats campaign arm won with 67% he'll face Republican Michael Lawler, who got 76%, and a special election in the 19th district to replace Democrat Antonio Delgado, who became New York's lieutenant governor, Democrat pat Ryan, with 52% beat Republican Mark molinaro who got 48% the race was seen as a litmus test after the Supreme Court overturned abortion rights. More, I know the New York races later. Michael Barr now over to Bloomberg's Amy Morris with key results in Florida, Amy. Thank you, Michael, representative Charlie Crist has won the democratic nomination for governor of Florida beating out the state agriculture commissioner and more progressive Nikki fried with nearly 60% of the vote. Chris, a former Republican governor himself, will challenge Republican incumbent Ron DeSantis. If we work together, stand up to this bully, we will defeat him in November. Meanwhile, Val demings won the democratic primary for Senate with more than 84% of the vote and she will challenge Republican incumbent senator Marco Rubio in Florida. In Washington, I'm Amy Morris Bloomberg daybreak. Great Amy, thank you about one other state held election yesterday in Oklahoma, Trump back congressman markwayne mullin defeated former state House speaker TW Shannon and a special runoff for the Senate seat now held by retiring Republican Jim inhofe. Mullen will face former democratic congresswoman Kendra horn in November. And we'll have much more on the primaries throughout the morning, Karen, but another story we're following today, President Biden is expected to make his long awaited announcement on student debt relief. We get the latest from Bloomberg's Ed Baxter. It has been something the president has been planning for quite a while now, and The White House was keeping the cars very close to the vest. The president has been grappling with targeted relief while at the same time counteracting any fallout, such as contributing to inflation. Now, advocates and allies expect a pause on loans for an additional four months through the end of the year, as well as some form of partial forgiveness. We should know today. In San Francisco, I'm at Baxter, Bloomberg daybreak. Great, and thank you, we now turn our attention to the Federal Reserve's annual Jackson hole economics symposium. It starts tomorrow and culminates with a speech from Jay Powell on Friday, drew mad as chief market strategist at MetLife investment management tells us, but he expects from the fed chair. It's a simple message rates are going to continue to move higher because inflation is still above where the fed would like to see it. In terms of how the market is going to take that, I think the market's pretty well expecting that. And the real question everyone's asking now is how much negative news does the fed need to see before it changes that tune? I met life investment management drew Madison says there's an increasing likelihood of recession, even if it's not showing up in the labor market yet. Well, meanwhile, Karen, we're Minneapolis fed president Neil kashkari says it's very clear the Central Bank needs to tighten monetary policy. "Wade, even this morning. Now, to be the chief of staff to the United States senators, no, mean feet to begin with. But Luke and I got to tell you my favorite gym in hop story and then ask you about your background. Jim was listening to the show one morning when I was pitching sponsorship for kids to go to prison fellowship camp. And he called up and he sponsored 5 kids on the condition that he knew their name so he could meet with him. I just love your boss. Your boss is a great American. I'm sorry to see him go. How did he come to pick you to be his chief of staff? So I actually worked for him for a little over a decade. I started with him right out of college and had an entry level job, literally sorting mail in the mailroom and didn't expect to be working for him for as long as I did, but it turns out that I really enjoyed the work and I was pretty good at it and he took a liking to me and the work that I was able to do for him and eventually it just became kind of a partnership where whatever he was working on. I was right there with him and especially on the military issues. He's been the leader of the armed services committee for a number of years and with all the challenges that we're facing overseas. There's no more important issue that we need to address as a federal government than the threats we face abroad. And to make sure that our men and women in uniform have all the resources that they need to address any of those concerns that come up. And so as Oklahoma's next senator, making sure that we have the strongest fighting force in the world is going to be my top priority. Now, look, Holland, when I talk to Alex ray, who has dropped out, or Scott prude, who has it, they talk about the tribes. And I do not want the fella who's supporting who supported by the tribes to win. Because I just think their position is not in keeping with American constitutional law. Tell us about the race right now. Yeah, it's kind of a jump ball. Right now, every statewide office in Oklahoma is on the ballot for the first time in maybe I think it's in decades. I can't remember exactly how long it's been, but the governor, lieutenant governor, and both senators. And there's 13 candidates in this race. There's three or four of us, Scott being one of them. TWC and who you just mentioned and markwayne mullin and I are probably the four candidates who have the best shot were a runoff state. So no one is going to get over 50% in this race. And so we'll find out on Tuesday, which too will go to the runoff, which is at the end of August. And so we've had great reception to our message focusing on restoring America's foundation of freedom and Christian values and really getting things focused back where they need to be back to the basics to get this country back on the right track. Couldn't be happier with our campaign and I'm very excited to see the results on Tuesday I'm very optimistic about my chances of making it to the runoff and then ultimately winning the race and becoming Oklahoma's next senator. So I want people to understand. Mister Shannon is not a bad man. He's just bought and paid for by the tribes. And the tribes want mcgirt to remain the law of the United States. And I want mcgirt to be overturned. I think it will be when another case comes up. Where do you stand on mcgirt, Luke Collin? Yeah, I'm really excited to see what case comes out. There's a case right now at the Supreme Court that we might get a decision on today that could limit mcgirt to just criminal activities. Right now there's huge jurisdictional challenges in eastern Oklahoma about law enforcement. And I actually talked to a sheriff not too long ago who was visited by the FBI after he returned fire at a house that he responded to and he was visited by the FBI because it turns out that the person inside the house was a tribal member. And he was told that he didn't have jurisdiction to do that. So that kind of confusion that you just can't have among law enforcement and if we're able to limit the issues of mcgirt to just criminal, which we don't know if we can yet or not, but if we can just limit it to criminal, then I think that we'll be able to figure out a solution to it. If it extends beyond criminals to tax or regulatory issues, then it does become a whole other box of can of worms that needs to be needs to be addressed. But I'm very passionate about ensuring that all oklahomans have the same kind of opportunities and rise as.

"Take place again. It requires a lot of effort on the part of the American people to understand what's been happening in this country with the fake news and how the Democrats have used some very important functions of government to basically declare war on president Trump. And so much of what has been reported has been flat out has been flat out false. And it has been proven false and congressman, I think this is why what you're doing is so important. We've got to set the record straight for history. Absolutely. And the Democrats have absolutely abused abused power, knowing good and well they were doing it, but they were so dug in because their hatred, their hatred towards the president that they took away that they took away the fact that they were eroding the fabric of our country. And we can't allow that stuff to stand. You can't do that just because you disagree with somebody. The Republicans would have loved to impeach Obama. We would have loved to have done that, believe me. I was in office with a guy. There had been nothing more than I would love to have done to impeach Obama, but I wasn't willing to do it for political purposes. I wanted him to do something that was impeachable. And the same thing with Biden, if we can prove that he's done something impeachable, I would love to impeach him, but I would never impeach him for political purposes. However, impeaching Biden is like dancing with the devil because then he gets stuck with Harris. I don't know which one is honestly worse at that point. But you should never use your position for political gain. You are still representing the American people regardless. You're still representing them and are founding fathers always warned us of this. And the Democrats have went way beyond even representing the American people. They are now trying to change the fabric of our country and then at the same time trying to impose socialism on it. No doubt about it. That is absolutely, that absolutely can not happen. All right, congressman markwayne mullin on the patriot mobile newsmaker line he represents Oklahoma's second congressional district now running for the U.S. Senate. Congressman penned an essay on what's happening at the border. You say that the president's repeal of tidal 42 is unforgivable. Why do you say that? Listen, it's the only tool left for border patrol agents to protect the American people from the national security risk has taken a place in our border. The president has rebuilt every single executive order that president Trump put in place when he was in office that lowered the illegal crossings to the lowest levels. We had seen in years. Since then, we have seen nothing but crisis after crisis on our southern border. We're at a 26 year high for non deporting illegals. We're at we're at a record high of fentanyl coming across our border. We've already apprehended more than 11,000 pounds of fentanyl, which is by the way. Enough fentanyl in the country to kill every single American and understand fentanyl is coming not just from Mexico, but it's actually flowing into Mexico from China. I probably would say there is a national security risk there. And then we have apprehended 11 individuals on the terrorist watch list that have come across our southern border and every one of them was being held underneath tidal 42 for two or three days before we were before we received the information that they were on the terrorist watch list. Without title 42, they would have simply been released into the public and given a date to show up, which only about 5%, I don't know the exact number, but it's very low. It's less than 10% of the people actually show back up for the court hearing, go figure, right? And what title 42 was designed for was underneath a health crisis. It was designed because we were trying to keep COVID at the time from spreading inside the United States. Now, the Democrats are saying they never had black title 42 because they're not for border security at all. They want open borders and they will tell you that. That's what they're for. They're not even for Amnesty. They want open borders now completely open borders, not worry about it at all. But the title 42 was put in place for the health pandemic. Well, while they're trying to end title 42 at the same time, they're asking the American taxpayer taxpayers say, hey, listen, we're still in a COVID crisis. We need an additional 15 $1 billion. Oh, and by the way, you still got to wear masks when you're on an airplane. Either we're in a crisis that we're not in a crisis. So don't make political decisions, but that's all the Democrats do. They don't put the American people first. They're all about making political decisions that they think speak to their base. No doubt about it. And congressman, we're going to have to leave it there.
