"A different philosophy with with this. Look, Mark Walton is extraordinarily talented running back into little bit of injury issues. But it's the off the field stuff. That is it's troubling. You. Can go one of two ways. He's going back home. I say that since the university of Miami grad. So it's either going to lead to more trouble or there's familiarity when scoots him away from it. This is this is risky. I think there could be huge upside he keeps his his his nose clean. He's talented. There's no doubt. Here's what their new head. Coach Bryan floors said Saturday, cool people deserve a second chance. Nobody's going to disagree with that assertion went on to say, I don't want to judge people based on one or two incidents, although he did have three to be fair. Coach. I don't think it's a case by case situation for player and just for people in general, it's kind of state, so listen, keep it fluid. Give him a chance keep an open mind. And listen they were trying to find talent. And when you're a rebuilding team. If you could find cheap talent, if you believe that he's right mental is on the right path give him shot, and if not a low low risk, what are you gonna do agree? Not a big deal. This could be a big deal. Some people think we talked about how Christian McCaffrey has gotten here and he aims to be way stronger. That's what he said I want to be a year ago. The faster I can get the better as well. You can always get bigger faster stronger. I don't have any choice. I have to went on to say to me speed kills and he's feeling good about himself. But there are some people around the league who won their slash worry. If McCaffrey's get a little bit too thick because they're looking at his arms and some of these pictures this all season and still pitchers always inflate.

"Unfortunately, we scheduled Mark Walton for an interview that didn't come to fruition, unfortunately. But we've been. Approach to be able to talk to Tyler Boyd again about a month later. We're gonna talk about some other different stuff some different topics now that you know, the Bengals are closer to naming their new head coach. I think we all know who at this point who that will be in where the Bengals are going to be headed. So we are actually catching up with either. Boy, again later this week in the second interview with him will be available through the podcast network. Let's let's hope that what happened with Mr. Walton doesn't happen with Mr. boy this time, but there should be a second interview with Tyler Boyd coming up on the feed in the next handful of day. So we're excited to be talking to him again. And it will be different interview. I promise than the first one we had a few weeks ago. So we're excited have Tyler Boyd on the program again here on the orange black insider and finally was this is why we kinda got a little bit of a late start among other reasons tonight. I was reviewing some of the podcast download numbers and all of that. With my co host, John chairman, I'm pleased to announce that we have absolutely. Shattered some of our highest download numbers of this show this month this month is been outstanding. Now, some of that has to do with the Espy nation adoption that took place at the beginning of the season in the additional promotion that comes from that some of that has to do with the fact that there's just more news, and you know, the the interest level of Bengals fans has risen. So, you know, there's just more listeners more to talk about unusual this offseason with the coaching and all that stuff. We've tried to give you a couple of other things to download the Tyler Boyd interviews in breaking news stuff all that stuff. But it still has to be given the kudos to be given to the listeners John because they are showing great. Enthusiasm it renewed vigor in this team. I guess and we are reaping the benefits of that. So I wanna say thank you. Sure. John you echo my sentiments on that. Yeah. I mean, I guess we couldn't entirely convince people to switch from locked on Bengals to us. But since locked on. I guess it didn't really have a choice. So no matter how you got here. How glad you're here. And I'm glad that you're downloading the crap out of her show because it just makes it better. So thanks guys. Yeah. I mean. It is a substantial increase by by thousands and thousands to be quite honest with you, which is awesome for our our podcast our little niche in the podcast world. We talk about not the most popular team. But we love doing it. And the some of the most passionate fans are are bangel 's fans, and they come on this show. So thank you for the downloading. Thank you for listening. Thank you for your emails your engagement during our live shows, whether that's called the YouTube chat. All that stuff. Can't thank you enough. We appreciate it. So just a couple of housecleaning items before we can kick off into everything this week. I wanted to just say thank you and let you know about some things coming down the pike. Now, I can say you can download this show on I tunes on Stitcher on Google play on megaphone. Gotta get used to sing a megaphone also on YouTube, and of course, all of our stuff is on cincy, jungled dot com. So keep downloading how you've been downloading it. We appreciate. The support. And we can't thank you enough for that. Yeah. So I guess the main topic has just been the senior recap in just the aftermath of that overall. I think and if you weren't here last week when I kinda ran down the senior stuff, I think the the main positions that stuck out them was just overall trench players offense of defensive lineman is really one of the reasons why I like to go down there and see those matchups but other like besides that, you know, watching receivers and quarterbacks and they're wanna once really tells you a lot about them as well..

"Everyone. Welcome to another episode of the orange black insider Bengals podcast. I'm Anthony Kazan's. I am joined by my usual, comrade-in-arms my co-host. John sheeran? John. How are you? It's it's we we said it before we kicked off the show. There's like a lot of news. But not a lot of news in terms of the Bengals. It's kinda weird time really grateful that they decided to break the news about Taylor the day after record last weeks. Now, we have six days to catch. I'm wearing the F since jungle shirt because a lot of a lot of people. Love me right now obvious Kezman tended. But but yeah, I'm feeling good. Because there's a lot of things going motion referring to piece together. But what we're gonna see twenty nineteen minutes. That's exciting is for longtime. It's been the same status quo. Our stern sea change, whether that's good or bad society. Will by the way, I've been it since jungle since twenty seven buddy, they they. Behaviors come out. That's what happens in. We'll talk about one of those topics in particular as to where John is catching a lot of grief in terms of certain player at a certain position potentially joining the Bengals this off season. We'll also talk about the massive upheaval amongst the coaching staff that has taken place really since last podcast episode and. Since Marvin Lewis has been ousted I guess as Bengals head coach. It is going to be a very very different looking team. Very different looking staff. We'll talk about all of that here on this week's episode. I wanted to just quickly before we dive into everything I wanted to quickly say thank you Tyler Boyd into busy. Oh for. Joining us last week on a special interview, we didn't attach it to the specific podcast episode. But it is on the fetus as its own interview. We've seen a lot of downloads on that a lot of feedback on that. So we hope that you enjoyed the interview that we had with with Tyler Boyd. I know that was a great experience in. He's he's got a lot going on. Obviously a rising star for the Bengals. And then later this week will be talking with Mark Walton Bengals running back. He's at the NFL PA in Los Angeles. So we're gonna talk to him that will also probably be a similar setup in terms of how it's gonna show up on our feeds, it'll probably be a standalone interview because got a lot to get to tonight. But back back to back weeks where we've talked to a couple of Bengals players were excited about that. And like we said as the new year began we hope to bring you more of those throughout the year, and we're pretty excited. I think you You know. know, we could talk about this may be after next week after we talked to Mark. But I hope I hope that this staff potentially finds a good place for him John in terms of usage, and kind of do that three headed running back type of thing that a lot of explosive offenses have for sheriff in like like Wallace projected to be like day to pig because his highs Miami were just as good as a lot of other owning backs like last year, and obviously injury kind of pummeled a stock little, but he's definitely better than what he showed twenty teen in. I think that the. Vice ceiling in terms of skill at that position. So it's hard to find a third running back. I think in from natural talent. Yeah. You know? I hope I hope he gets the chance to to flash in. I think if you heard Tyler talked about it last week Taylor boy, he was excited about, you know, potential offensive mind coming into Cincinnati as the coaching staff, and I'm sure Mark Walton will probably I would assume say the same thing, even though they probably liked Marvin. You know, I'm sure they're ready for kind of a more progressive approach in terms of offense football. Speaking of coaches, John it is let's just do a quick rundown of things in terms of what has happened. We talked about candidates. We did that fun game last week since we have taken the air for a full episode. The Bengals have it's been basically kind of made somewhat public that they are going to be selecting Zack Taylor the Rams quarterback coach as their next head coach small small chance that it is Eric b enemy, but I think..

"All right, mood along to the cardinals and Stefan years. Beloved forty Niners on the injury front, skipping the dolphins being Jay on the same sheet and not mean to pull that down. Going back to the dolphin to the bangles sheet year. That means just kidding. Matthew dolphins hand the Bengals we've got some question marks in the Cincinnati in the Cincinnati backfield's to find because of injuries. Joe mixing and Giovanni Bernard both banged up right now. Yeah, I think people may not realize because it was late in the game last week, but Giovanni Bernard actually exited the game early with a knee injury and has not practice. Catherine tro covers angles for us says he's still working off to the side again today and that she doesn't expect him to play. So the interesting thing to me, here's here's Joe mixon coming back from arthroscopic surgery been hearing a lot of good things about how he looks in practice cutting sharply, doing all these making. All these nice moves really look like his knees, not bothering him at all, but still the pounding of a full workload during a game. When you're first came back after surgery, it's a little bit concerning because you really want this guy to stay healthy across the full season. So I expected Joe makes him back in expected them to sort of ease it off by sharing. Giovanni Bernard, that may not be an option. All right. Well, that's which would make him like a top ten play this week. You'll mix. I mean, maybe you'll see some Mark Walton in there, but it would be the Joe mix and show Joe mixon I think was her fourth in total touches? Yeah, fourth and touches and third in yards from scrimmage, the first two weeks when he was nine. He's still only been limited in practice. He's not fully practicing. So you know, we're remember, dalvin cook. They let him. I'm just saying this is sort of philosophical thing..

"We saw mark walton and rose years uh past run ability that that option all those things are gonna come together and make rosier a serviceable college quarterback you can win with i don't think he's going to be great and and i do think when perry's ready uh perry is going to be the guy but meantime uh i think rose ears of not bad i don't think he's bad as you think he is and and you may be right but i'm going to judge him after the next two games not after an opening game perform and have that i though apprehending arman said bad like i i keep feeling like you guys are interpreting my my observations is being more critical than they actually are i have said that you guys have been frustrated with your quarterback play for the last ten years and this guy's not as good as those guys he's just nantes but i don't think you and fans were frustrated by bread kyw i think they think thought bread kyw was pretty good no they were frustrated by all they been fort frustrated by quit they've the frustrated that they haven't been better for the last ten years until they pull out of that on the quarterback i've agreed with every single one of dance takes now the tone may be hasn't been great there is one that i disagree with though the vis sky isn't good enough to take you where you need to go in terms of winning this conference championship this is not national title hopes type of season if you win the conference and you have got these meeting get in the playoffs but i think every hurricane fan knows yeah you begin to that playoff you'll start hoping in you'll surging inchoate and all that but this is not about a national championship game by get to the afc championship game finally and i don't think rosier we've seen enough to say is bad enough or good enough to decide that in any way.
