The city of New York agrees to pay $26 million to two men who were wrongfully convicted of assassinating Malcolm X the state of New York will also pay $10 million. Muhammad Aziz and Khalil Islam were exonerated last year after spending decades behind bars. Civil rights attorney David Shea represents them, he says this case has been lingering since the 1960s. Not only was Malcolm X's assassination a horrific crime and tragedy, but it also indirectly led to the wrongful convictions of two innocent black men in the 1960s, which is the kind of injustice that was everything Malcolm stood against.
