"There's been many big stories. But at least for us. The possibility tim tebow coming back to football buddy martin covered thibault's entire life and even pre life buddy joining us now. He thanks so much for the time. And i'm just curious As you heard this story as your friends and fellow gators Have heard this story. What do you make you think it could happen. Paul are you the hair problem yet. Yeah it is intriguing. Obvious gator fans. Here would be absolutely bonkers. This happened. i wrote a column two months ago. Saying yeah i know. It's probably not likely but we can drain cat way. And i think that this is the situation. Seems so right given the cameras of engine. Is your the kind of native jacksonville. Although he doesn't live there and then digits jacksonville person his background is popularity etc and the fact that the news to me was that he was willing to work out fairly as tight in something. You let me ask you not not only. Are you covered. Tibo with urban meyer. You did a book. Where there have been meyer. You've done business deals with fire. You know him better than all of us We know we know what the relationship is. But when do you think this conversation. I happened in an even. If tibo doesn't end up playing do you think there's a role for tim. Tebow with her. Admire no question about it. And i've had multiple conversations with urban not about this recent issue but about the fact that urban once told me coaching florida. The team could be a coach. The head coach afar at one day so he has the highest regard for emma's football what he brings to a team the chemistry and the team his You know who come. Evidence worked all those things. I have talked to urban about maybe three times in the last year. Is you know the podcast. So the summer before is of coaching. Business and i brought it up to them a couple of times these. I've just done what him wants to do that. I think you'd have said the same thing and people that know tim. Now that to be true. What is his priority and of course. He's got a baby now. You gotta a family. I don't know that well. I know orbited quite well i know urban meyer would love to have him in jacksonville and would do anything. He could get in there for multiple. Reasons of the question is has. Tim changed his mind. And that's the big question. So yeah there's no doubt in my mind. Urban meyer would love to have people squad if it were possible and just on on the kenny play. ask you a me. Every every gator fan you know thinks tibo could play if he was seventy five but he's still he's still young. The baseball the baseball didn't work. We only have about two minutes left buddy but do you think he's still able to play. And and what do you think he'd be like as a tight end in the nfl. I think he could and he would be okay. And the question is. Does i take a bible roster spot is it worth it all those things. He's physically as you know great shape. He's mentally of course very strong. I think he's leadership is worth something. The question is the head coach willing to take a shot on him. And i've talked over the years. He's consistently said he thought tim could play in the national football league and he were given the right coach and the right chance he would have succeeded because he's a winner that's irving's conviction so what transpired. In between that summer. I wrote a column about a couple of months ago down to do it. I don't know what happened. Was fries as anybody else. But do i think. Light up. Jaguar nation and the state of florida and yes every sturdy. Light it up and it would be an amazing thing if it happened. Finally and the indigenous tribes to jack. Bill came home to play for team that is needs him. These him down. Maybe a call of duty. So i think it's a wonderful dream what happened. I don't know the boy should makes good. Stop for talk shows and encompassed buddy. Mark joining us. A thank you very much buddy. Great to have you on. We'll talk to you again as this story develops in it is in the developmental stages as it just broke about two hours ago. We're heading for a break. There's also another big story down gator. Land we'll talk to a university of florida law professor about that and involves the al. And it's been a big topic today all.

"To podcast. We are back here. The second hour of the program live or always excited to talk to coach. Mark stoops to the university of kentucky and coach are getting getting ready for yet another season. And it's good to have you on your. How are you thanks. Paul doing pretty good about yourself. Think things are okay. And i i'll spare you all the. How different is this year than last. But i'm sure it is nice to put most of that behind you. Yeah without a doubt it's been Really good you know. First week is spring. We're four practices in fifth practice tomorrow and It it's been It's been nice. We've been You know relatively uninterrupted you know for the most part getting tested Just once a week and You know so getting getting closer to normal but Really like our football team. I really like the way things have started. You know we have quite a few changes in our program and I like where we're at. You know obviously we have a lot of work to do but it's it's always fun. This time of year is just a lot of fun for us. You know you go through the winner and try to develop your players. Make them better. You know bigger stronger and all those things and then get out on the practice field this spring and You know you don't have the pressure of game planning so it's gonna it's it's a fun part of our work just Developing our players in in trying to get them better so then a been a good start. I know coaches always want to look ahead. But it's and. I think all of us all including myself tried to understand your season but until it was over i'm not sure we we understood the struggles internally that were going on and i know you're not one for excuses but I think from a distance. I think the average critic didn't understand how how how big a loss coach was and then ultimately his passing. Can you talk about that for a second because it just seemed like that really hung over the season. It really was paul. It was You're right. I mean you know we we all wanna look ahead and look look towards the future and really that's been all of our concentration but it is a fair fair question you know and it is true. I mean the season's over it is what it is. I was proud of our players where we finished. The guys fought through a lot of adversity. Like most teams in the country wasn't easy not only on us wasn't easy on anybody and But you know it started early. You know with you know chris. Oats one of my best players know brian future. Nfl football player middle linebacker has a stroke and then coach l- arm and you know and we watch coach in his struggle for for a couple of years in You know it did take its toll on. Our football team was very hard. He was a guy that played a kentucky's been with me since day one He was he was loved in our community He was loved by our players and and it was hard to watch to go through that struggle and and You know basically you know. Watch him deteriorate and watch him. You know You know slowly die right in front of us. was was hard to watch in You know in in Definitely took its toll. A hard year in general You add that on top of it and You know certainly you know was a difficult time. Coach coaches always want to go back and dissect but because of the circumstances Are you were you happier just to push that one behind you and you know you have new staff. You have a lot of new players. Just move ahead and let it go to you. Know i think you know we always need to analyze things and and learn and grow You know take all the good. Take the bad You you have to you know. Take things from each situation and and just grow as a person you know grows a coach and as an organization and and You have to shoulder the responsibility that comes with it too good and the bad and you know there's definitely things You know that that you know. I have to analyze and look at You know and and whether it's fair or not fair. I had to make changes and And so now it is full steam ahead in just pressing on. You know you take those experiences and you learn and do the best you can. I you know. I felt like you know i. I love the coaches. i had in place but You know. I definitely felt like there was some change needed and You know it is what it is and now we're pushing forward. You come from coaching family. And i i know that's probably one of the toughest parts of it. And i'm not asking you to get into the specificity of but how do you know when when things are are not going. Well i ask you that normally you could you could look at analytically but these are these are these are gentleman that are part like part of your family. It's not maybe it's not as easy to see sometimes no it's not take it. You know it. It was Difficult for me You know sometimes like like you understand and you you've seen it you've been around and watched it and you know sometimes things are very cut and dry you know whether it be a head coach or an assistant You know you know you. He likes change. And it is what it is and it's it's a relatively easy decision That wasn't the case in you know with with my guys. They have been with me and they've been a part of a lot of good thing and helped me build this program and do some really good things. Not only were they personal friends and you know people you get close to. But they also are very qualified. Very good coaches sometimes. It just doesn't work sometimes. You need to make a change. I have to you know i'm part of that You know i understand that as the head coach your part of You know all you know the things. If if they're they're not working to your liking than you know. The i'm part of that i realized that and i understand that but You know so. It was with a lot of thought and a lot of discussion and You know ultimately. I felt like i made some moves that i had to do. And you know quite a bit of that. I consulted with. Eddie eddie grant is a fantastic coach. Se forever. he'll you know he's a he's a wonderful coach and personal friend of mine and You know i could salt it a lot with him about it and you know ultimately. We came up with the understanding. That that that i probably needed to make a complete change in moving a different direction. Talking to coach. Mark stoops who has been a kentucky since two thousand.

"That would be the next edition of the Mark stoops show this coming Monday at six and here in a couple of weeks. I think we'll get to a couple of doubleheaders students in the first hour Perry in the second. Not coming up on Monday night football this coming Monday Kentucky might shoot at six of eleven four of eight threes. Six or fourteen one of four three point line, rebounding. Six six right now and UP only one turnover presser team. Yes. Very impressive in DS, very clever players. He's done a lot of good things out there. Besides just score is one of three. He passed the ball out. Double teams took care of his his teammates UP though struggling at six fourteen shootings Kentucky backed off a little bit. For bet sixty plus percent, top fifty four or five. I like the shots are getting their movie the ball still joining quickly. Green Johnson, Montgomery and Richards the five on the floor four Kentucky. And here's a foul and the attempted in bounce pass. They get EJ Montgomery for holding Diaz as he was trying to cut along the baseline that called often, but Montgomery picks up his first and the team's fourth. And once again, a UP will play in down on the right baseline is part of the Kentucky. Cheerleading foster. Looked it up front to Humphries is back to foster straight away almost lost his balance. And now he does body tables at keep his dribble legitimate. It up the D DS thrives on. Montgomery comes to jump stops kicks it out to Miller straightaway nine to shoot and Miller. Walk is he tried to make his move on Johnson. Turnover. The second one hawks gives it back to Kentucky. DAS very good for a man his size with the bounce. Isn't he six nine to fifteen but handles like a smaller player Jesse does. Quickly walks at across the line into front court for Kentucky. Okay. Pastor Richards with the right is the factors quickly jumps on the right side. Speed Richards can't out the Greenhill shoot a three from the top. No good off the back irons goes for his own rebound comes up with it. What a green hustling play over the Thompson peak today to the postal selected back the Johnson, Dr shots blocked by Broadway and pulled out of the air by D as and here comes out UP foster the front tort lost the handle the DS trailing DS drives the lanes a shot, and he walk. UPN allow a control on that breaker complete bardy back in to try and settle down. Humphries goes out with crimson hawks Kentucky ball with eleven twenty four to play in the first half the ass looked up the floor as he was driving. There was j Montgomery at six at Vicarage seven foot. He decided that he could do a little shop. They're trying to get by his name's eighteen thirteen aggressive Duckie's quickly, right circle authors. Green on the left wing faster. Quickly johnson. The right corner opens read at wanted out too quickly drives kicks Johnson. Now, you'll take that three hundred deep in the right corner by threes in the first half four Kentucky. And it's a big eight point lead. Biggest of the night so far Twenty-one thirteen at this point in the season. Kelvin Johnson on the catch and just shoot. The ball is very good piece of work on that moved off the bounce. Dale trade standing still. Foster, the left corner drives into the paint kicks it right side Miller and a charging tall Johnson. Took the charge on the drive in foster who made a pass and ran over Johnson. So that's the first foul on foster. That's three UP. That's another turnover is Hagans and Travis check back into the Kentucky lineup quickly in Montgomery to the match. Jumper just could not get a track ball game. When he came in. The part of the team either. Add just a little slow adjust. Travis top of the circle one Griddle to his left. Just johnson. To the top back to Travis left side. Good three point basketball read Travis deletes Kentucky with seven six threes. Here. The first half four Kentucky and a double digit lead twenty four thirteen the last to come from Don guard Miller drives in deep misses the runner. Rebounded by Travis out to Johnson cats are running ahead too quick to Hagen's ties gives it to the trailer. Richard branson? Bayside Nick Richard about fifteen feet, Allan he took that. Handoff by Hagans. Nice. Boop. The big fella that Dr baseline dunk fast. Fast fast, sixteen three run for Kentucky. They've opened the lead to twenty six thirteen Lombardia deep on the left side one hand pass across the Miller straight away, the Broadway. The right side back to Lombardy drives by greed right to the top blocked by Richard pulled out by Travis ahead to green no numbers for Kentucky over hagan's hill attack, right side, shuttle-passenger dunk. Putting baseline beautiful feed by down the right side bound Johnston for the duck timeout be we have seen some very unselfish play here in the first half cats moving the ball quickly via the air. Most of the time by the open. That's our care source active heart moment of the game. You have a choice in healthcare. Choose care source. It's health care with heart pretty drive by Hagans and looking for teammate. And if you've got a guard that. Predisposed to look for you. Then you make moves like Kelvin Johnson did to follow him to the basket. You'll get bed. You just find the open spaces go. There you go. Many fail. You find that Steve? Yeah. Exactly. What also impressive is Kentucky's. Bigs are ready the floor very well tonight. And with that you got Kelvin Johnson out in the corner. Transition to Gotti. What they don't transition that dick Richards flying just fast down the side for his dumped Turkey picking up full-court here against UP. Cats have runoff twelve unanswered to open up twenty eight thirteen lead bearer back in runs the baseline plays it into Lombardy to leave him to work it up against Hagans. Six out of nine three point shooting for the Wildcats after that dismal one for thirteen performance against Transylvania a week ago. Right side, the Lombardi Lombardi drives into the paint cut off by reduced spins passes at the DS on the right side. He's used up his dribble. Help calls a timeout. A couple of timeouts back to back is the DS was hung up with nobody to pass to. Two timeouts already used up by UP with nine nine left to play here in the first half Kentucky in front twenty eight thirteen UP. Does it have a back to the basket low post game, which is typical for their division? So they keep the ball all the perimeter. They wanna break you down off the bat. Get free problems, but at times with Pataki compass good defense like they did the last secret stop. They have a hard time manufacturing eighty guy of all bets against Transylvania Kentucky hit thirteen to fourteen turnovers. So far tonight, it's nine assists degree turnover. Very oppressive ball handling so far disclosed. Assists on ten. Best IX gets set of team from the field fairer houses across to D. As in the middle of the floor angles left hands it off to Lombardy for a deep three with five on the clock. And it's no good comes off the Travis turns passes up the hagan's courts kids get to the trailer greenback to haggis attacks off the right sites. Cutoff back out on the right side, the Claudy Green Cross Johnson Travis on the left side drives into the paint. Scoops it up. Excellent. Footwork the drop step off the drive quick spin. The ball was not exposed to the defenders. Very nice. Bharti working it up with intense pressure from Hagens. Take the past relief that pressure that he's being harassed by. Claudia green goes back over the Lombardy party gets if the lane jump stop in deep spins passes out the three right side. No, good Johnson. Tapped it off the boards for Kentucky. But it comes at the Broadway gives it to Lombardy drives left lane backs. It up off the last. I know good rebounded by Montgomery whose checked in outlet Hagen's Hagans at the front court slows it up gives it to Montgomery on the left side. So Johnson in the left corner. Open three. No, good rebound. It up the backside by Brunswick for UP. In Kentucky in front thirty two thirteen. On dry spell for UP Brunswick straightaway. Between the circles, we've gone under eight minutes to play here in the first Ed spins left, gives the drives. His it the circle. Hesitates backs out the three point line lets it fly good. He's a little jab step a little change of pace gets the defender on his heels step back three point shot. Forty three percent shooter behind the arc. Last season's second three point basket for thirty sixteen in favor of Kentucky teigen's right of the circle passes right side degreen to hand overhead pass across the Johnson. He loses it dug out by Lombardia turnover for Kentucky ahead, the DS. Fix it to the right quarter to foster dries passes after Lombardi straightaway. Three. No, good rebound. Mccumber falls down scramble for the loose. Ball. Dugout by Travis. Cats on the road Hagans up into fort to Johnson split defenders and lays it at the rim. Delvin Johnson out in transition runs ahead of his defender. Gets it easy basket. Jamie. Gummy. Could quite a spill there. He's up moving. Well, thirty two sixteen Kentucky. Travis nine points already bear to hand pants the right side to Lombardy beyond the arc right way. Ball on his hips. Tried to pass it's affected by Hagans out of bounds off Hagen's people. Ball on the side. But I the time out the Bardi really bothered by the quickness of the length of Ashdod Hagan 637 to play the first.

"Mark stoops says that they've been doing the best they can to prepare for a loud and rowdy environment. We talk about that each and every week what the situation is going to be going into a hostile environment plan at home with a big game in a racist crowd. You know, how we're gonna handle those moments. I don't think there's anything you could prepare exactly what you're going to get into. You know, we respect them in their stadium in in. It's going to be a heck of an environment. But we're worried about ourselves in our communication, and we'll practice with the the the crowd noise, maybe turned up a notch or two this week because we know it's going to be exceptionally loud. It's always a great challenge. But our players are used to that. And for me, I'm kind of excited about it in this way. It's time for us to get on the road in kind of get United again get that small group in take us on the road. We know we we embrace that challenge, and it kinda unifies our team sometimes in I'm looking forward to it. I have to tell you guys as a former basketball player there was nothing better in my mind going to a packed house someone else's Jim someone else's arena. And you you bring it and you silence their crowd. There is no better feeling in the world. So I'm thinking, I'm feeling like if I'm Kentucky, I'm absolutely embracing this environment. I'm absolutely loving going into an environment like this and putting it to and just absolutely silencing that crowd and doing what you can to take them out of it. I think is is something that these guys because they are so blue collar will really really like I don't know if you've noticed, but what stoops was just say in the way, he was talking. It was very much us against the world kind of speech of like to go somewhere and be on the road and kind of get the closeness of our group together. And it's a long story short. It's us against the world. It's us against one hundred thousand people that are going to be chanted going crazy Kentucky all y'all and our and our guys love that. You know, it is funny because we talked about this a couple of weeks. How are they going to handle the success? All the positive talk all that stuff. And it's like they're still have people down them. And they're still keep finding ways to go onto environments and fill like, it's it's Kentucky guest. All y'all. They don't care. That's what I love about. This a feel like they a team that gets real banged up about somebody doubting and somebody else. They don't they just say they don't care. They know what they can do for sure it's kind of like, a Mr. Miyagi and Daniel son going up against John crease and all his boys at Coburg went karate kid..

"Tamar? Well, listen, I, I think there's two areas that he should be concerned about number ones, the emotion, the environment because of status relationships, because of Dan Mullen his relationships with the players, the familiarity the Dan Mullen and his staff will have with this team. And then I think I think Secondly, maybe more importantly, Paul, the sloppiness a week ago, sixteen penalties, multiple false starts terrible field position continually being in second in ten, third and ten. And as a result, Nick FitzGerald could never get hot. He could never get into rhythm. And I think even for Joe Moore, had he couldn't get into rhythm as a play caller. So they've got to take. Advantage of field position, and then they've got to make smarter decisions as football players listened to the better team, the better roster I believe in this game is Mississippi State. But when you got to go back to back into Neilan stadium and then here to start Ville, that's a tall order for a Florida teen. When you get a win the way they got it versus Tennessee, you certainly come into this match up with a heck of a lot more momentum and a lot more confidence than had you lost Neilan a week ago. It seems like a lot of teams will be having momentum after they play Tennessee. The shirl. It looks that way for now. True in terms of Florida a look or did they look badly against Kentucky? I, it seems like a lot of teams are looking bad against Kentucky. What, what? What do you make out of flea? Frank. Suddenly he's putting up big numbers. Or is he the real deal? I think he's growing and getting better weekend and week out in where he's, I think made huge strides is when things break down around him. He's been able to create with his feet with his legs, extend played when you look at some of those plays not only versus Kentucky, but versus Tennessee a week ago, the gate, the play that were made in the passing game work from the pocket. There him moving around finding an open guy, late Keaton, his eyes downfield. So I've been impressed with his risk averse approach because he's by and large taking care of the football. I still think they've got real question marks in their offense of line that's becoming by the way, an epidemic in college football. Everybody seems to have a problem outside of Alabama with their offensive line in. So I kind of liked what I've seen out of flea bay Franks. I believed that they're passing game as it relates to the targets out wide, have got to do a better job of creating separation. You're not seeing a lot of wide open guys running around with Florida. So to give leap a Franks more opportunities more windows to throw the ball from within the pocket in. Void having a flush all the time. I think it's going to be a key tomorrow night. Let me let me go to Lexington to talk about that game to our South Carolina and Kentucky. This is an under the radar game, but it's Kentucky this week has been the talk of the SEC talk about that game in what they face. So if I'm Kentucky and I'm Mark stoops my biggest concern right now is everybody patent us on the back and tell them how good we are. This is uncharted waters. Oh yeah. For the Kentucky Wildcats. And as a result, you got to rely on what is a lot of senior leadership, a lot of experience to hopefully be able to weather that storm keep focused on what's important because I think South Carolina with the east being so wide open them not having a chance to redeem themselves following the loss to Georgia. But then rebounding a week ago versus Vanderbilt, they're coming into that game hungry. I think it's a really good match up. I think it'll be a game that will go down to the wire and it will be a physical game in the trenches for both teams talking to Tom Logan, Bill, Tom. The story of this week in college football was Trevor Lawrence Hino hall about him. Yeah, let us know before most. He was going to be this good..

"L. o. that dude the promise. You know, you giving a great speech when they make a plaque and give it a title, they just call it the promise. I mean, he's just a love that passion. I just love that passion and the thing though, and TIMMY, the way we do everything in his life is that way. It's just the way he lives his life. And so I love that he can stand up there in that moment of heard and be that composed in that passionate and that direct and live up to it because he went to thing with him. I went to a thing with him a couple of summers ago in Birmingham, Alabama. It was a Christian youth conference, and he spoke at this thing and there were probably fifteen thousand people there. I'm knew that Tim was well known on new that Tim had a lot of fame. I had no idea. The degree of fame until I went praise this event with him and the way that he manages it in the way he handles it in the grace that he has. I could use a million lives to describe him and he always takes time every time to give you Hogue and Pat you on the butt and ask how you family's doing. And I just preciado him much hard to explain it to people because he's just he's Tibo in I, we had the opportunity around a lot of really famous people, and I want to ask you about that, but but like when he signed with the New York Mets and he's going to spring training. I had several sports writer. Friends call me baseball guys and say. It's got to be phony. It's gotta be fake. And whenever I would say, listen, I can't explain this to you in to you. Go see it in person, but when I'm out on the road with us, you see nation, you were this past weekend and there's just there's always a group of people that are around in. It's it's it is. It is a har- phenomenon to explain, but it Spain, right? It's but it's a different degree of fame and you and I've been around a lot of people who have you been around that remind you that like like there's just a magnetism, said all the time, the person that if there's a thousand of us face in one direction, watching a screen or whatever, and they walk in the back door and I'll say a word we all turned around because the air in the room changed. Right. I have a lot of friends in music, right? So I've experienced that with them often, but I've never experienced a level of fame like I did in China last summer with Cristiano Renaldo, the phenomenal soccer player, of course, who's the most famous athlete in the world. I honest to God. I did not know that this was even humanly possible or real. Remember back in the day with all the Beatles things. When young ladies would just fall out our days night and chase, yeah, I saw young ladies at events that I was at Rinaldo with kit paint. I mean, they would trimmer they would start to trimmer and cry and just boom, just fall out. His level of fame is striking and perplexing to me, but. I've never experienced anything like that. Well, and you and I to a smaller degree. But within that world, the earnhardt's right Right on on the the nail. nail Dylan. Heart senior was the person that I've said I've, I've been in the room with presidents and I've been in the room with l. Earnhardt and it was that same feeling of the air, changing the room and then his son deller heart junior, who's a friend of both of ours. There is something about when you go anywhere with Dell, junior, but junior said, something to me that's always struck is that he has been friends and had relationships with some super famous people like one over to Monte Carlo.

"Proud of the guys. It's been great efforts so far and you're right, we're right in the middle of it here trying to get another one Saturday, but definitely it's been a very good season and been pleased with the way our team's playing. We'll look ahead at a Gamecocks in a minute, but we gotta talk Florida man. We haven't had the opportunity to chat with you since that tremendous victory look man. Thirty years is a long time. I wanna know what you said to those young men after that victory. Well, to be honest with you, we really didn't focus on the previous thirty some years. You know, these guys weren't even born. We know we could play with anybody. We worried about ourselves, you know, we played with them a year ago and just didn't finish it, but. I was just proud of our team, their approach, you know, I, I was high on this football team all summer. I can remember sitting on the couch. So you guys still doing your show from the couch by the way you guys got the best setup of anybody. It's still awesome brother. Oh, yeah. We're still in the wilderness lodge lobby with the deer Antlers in the American flag and all the Roosters. Yeah. Well, God bless you. Got a good gig. I need a gig like that when I'm done coaching. Charlotte. You mentioned being Holland a team back in summer. We've been bragging on you ever since this. What you said. I wanted what you to hear this. What you said back a lot. We embrace those expectations. That's been one of the biggest changes for us is the expectations we do expect a win. We do expect to keep on improving year after year. Appreciate what we've done. Appreciate all the hard work and all the support, but were excited an anxious to take the next step. And that's what it's all about. For us. This year we have a solid football team. The guys are working their tail off and we're ready to take it to another step. That said that you were just officially now looking at what you've done this year, you were not blowing smoke, but I enjoyed your set. First of all, it's all good talking to you guys. But yeah, definitely. I felt good about this team because of the work ethic the way they put in time last winter, the way they've been training in the weight room. We've had a great summer. We got some experience in some leadership, so that's what I was most excited about. Nagai's are preparing the right way. I know that's coach, but it's so important. I mean, you can't win on Saturday unless you're doing all the week, all the work during the week, and our team has done that. They embrace that. So they've been a fun group to coach let let's try to define a next step. I love it. You said you felt like your team was ready and based on the victories you've accrued already, it seems like you're on on the way there. Define what next step means and tell us how close you are to taking that next step. Well, for me. The next step is Saturday versus South Carolina. You know that I'm never going to get too far ahead of ourselves. You know, we've been doing this for a long time here at Kentucky in, you know, in and there's no shortcuts. There's no easy way around it. You just gotta put your head down and grind it out each and every day. And we've had a lot of good coaches and players that have worked hard, but it's that same approach you know in that's not coach speak. I can say a lot of things right there to get into coach peak, but it's so true. We're worried about today. How how was our preparation today? What are we going to do tomorrow to put ourselves in a position and it Saturday? I've said it a lot. You know, you got an opportunity in this business prove yourself every seven days, and that's what we're trying to do. We're trying to win a game here. Saturday, they got all these coaches in this stoops family right there, seventy four brothers, one of football coach. Imagine what the thanks giving dinner is like on focused on this Turkey. Right? Nothing until we get past this Bob. Well, you got to go to another holiday. 'cause you know during thanksgiving, we're all work. Yeah. All the time..

"Does not good now. Not good, but mardi Ryan, I had a little bit of wager being the good alumni that we are, you know, or loans or whatever the word is. We use their being faithful to our schools. We had a little bit of a wager in the loser was going to wear some of the other teams gear and then use that picture for their avatar for the rest of the week on Twitter. Now, really, I haven't seen anything yet from Ryan McGee that would indicate that he's followed through on our wager and paying that up. So hit something down there to you guys. Okay. As a way to maybe make up, I was going to get it look, what we? Yes, my all time. Favorite college football player. Look what we actually put it on right now. I'll say this all the time, right? So Chris, during an or what do you do? Your co worker? I'm gonna take your new picture. We are co workers and friends now, but we were in school at the same time, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that Chris during might have been my least favorite. Before ride that he's written as you chop them up, the greatest compliment you can give from an opposing fan. That's how much they disliked. You. Hold that. And smile for America one too. Glorious eight, right, right. Can we hit a little done non, go turnaround turnaround. Look over your shoulder in one of those longing way. Donny that is avatar picture. Erica. You know what I mean? Though? If only tell me what you think America. Bego that looks good making avatar. So if we were going to do this accurately, if this is really going to be Chris Doering in like nineteen Ninety-three I'd have to get like vanilla ice, right? I had to get the didn't. You didn't? You have the didn't. You have the headline shame. I I had line shaved in the hair back in highschool. I didn't carry that over to the pros. In fact, I got rid of my three earrings before I really started playing Florida too. So completely. Ice. So wait a minute, though. This is revelatory to me. So you had three rings. You had the line shaved in the head of, we're you just the baddest dude. What what high school did you go to the PK young which is the developmental research school of the university of Florida. So I've been a gator virtually my entire life with school acquaintances there, but a gator fan since birth. And yeah, I don't know if I was the baddest dude of the do that was trying a little too hard, but I had Brian Bosworth up on my wall with the lines in his hair and try to duplicate, you know, some of the badness that he had. It didn't quite run as well as with a guy. That's the six, four one seventy five didn't look quite as cool. Well say. So he's like two thirty. Will you tell you tell about the great. Here's a who America look there. Yeah, I know who better looks more athletic. This. You talking about the greatest compliment ever and I've told you this during again, we were at school at the same time, and this was really the start of Florida and Tennessee became in that era. And there were two things that gave us nightmares me and my roommates the horsemen was it was Chris during cutting it over the middle, and it was air Rhett on the wraparound that was a bad do that Eric Rhett wraparound drawl. It was like it was like a Saul movie for Tennessee, famous Shane Matthews. There's all of them. It was. Yeah, it was just Shane Matthews, your quarterback. I remember I remember y'all came into nameless stadium and it was raining and I was like, they won't be able to move the ball in the rain and never forget Bob kesling with Tennessee. Radio goes. If Shane Matthews can grip it, he can throw it. Yes, sir. We got a chance to they beat us there at ninety two, but we went back in ninety four. They unveiled the brand new grass. They pulled up the turf brand new grass, and we welcomed at the grass with a thirty one zip shut out of the bowl. So good memories for me for sure. Yeah, good memories for you. So anyhow, CD. Thanks for hanging. I love nothing more than to annoy and embarrass McGee on the television program. I will text you the photograph so that you can hold into it being his avatar..

"We're told my coaches that we like our coaches that we cover and urban Meyer was the reason that I was up in Columbus by the way, my favorite part of the trip following the team was when the Gotha the liquor bottle at me told me to go back south. Did he really hold on? This is awesome. Important. Part of the mardi McGee program was empty, which is why I missed me expound please. No, these I was following a team of bird dog in the team. And one of the see, however, my reacted everything and they lead with called skull session and it was great, big pep rally. They always do very motion forever Meyer because he been there for the first couple of home games, and then they walk across Woody Hayes boulevard over to the horseshoe where coach does is traditional hugging, all the players go into the locker room and this old guy. Yeah, I turned and looked, and I look at his coming out having Thors hammer except he, the bottle was Daniels. It was. It was. The one that comes in the bag. Oh, crown Royal. It was. It was empty. And that's why miss me now, because it was because he'd drink everything in it. He was all four of you. He wouldn't hit me as big as Wayne, hang aimed at the one in the middle. My favorite part. So they had the dog fouls. This problem could he didn't because he didn't like me. So the dog. Fabulous. Man, we had hearing that main. They're nice to meet up there. Glasser bless us Bill glass that make upon impact it hit the grass mafia grass. So the dog family, Lance. We have that here. Oh yeah. There were several versions of that Ohio savers in the parking lot outside the horseshoe and I walked over and these guys had the big screen TV set up. You know what they were watching how the back of the. I mean, he was tricked out ahead although state Heisman, Trophy winners painted on the side and the whole thing, they're watching the SEC network. Well, they watch Marty McGee, I yelled, they're all watching this yield. Marta mcgahee Thursday. Hey, we're, we're all about shameless promotion. We're not scared all about coaches to we're talking about urban Meyer. We're talking about James Franklin, who we both like a lot JIMBO Fisher, Mark my words that dues go win. Some gonna win a lot, and we've got Mark stoops coming up. We like coaches on this show, and now we have a new favorite coach, and that would be we're gonna take it out to the Big Sky. Wow, Bruce Barnum the head coach at Portland state state. All right, coach Barnum, and he had he had some. He had some comments and facing Montana state in the big Scot. He says, classic move blonde, Montana, state team. I mean, they're gonna come in here And and try try to to pull pull you you out. out of the stadium. This isn't a finesse football team. These guys don't wear undershirts. You know, these guys don't wear those cutoffs? Are. Good. If it was legal, there'd be having a beard. You know, walk shows talk Geiger, ex, you know, combing his hair look in the mirror the the, they'd be smoking a cigarette. And having a Budweiser. They are. They're blue-collar kids like the Walla teams to my like. And that was all the complement. It wasn't because he banged on the Gaza, no, that was a. That was a verbal hug. 'cause he say he said they'd be burning a hater and drink Budweiser. Coast Barnum czar guy goes one is would the cutoff short. I have a transgressor. They don't wear shirts. They do not work cut off socks. I don't even know if it was legal, big tubes up. You having a love it up here now I love it. That's, that's. That's my new favorite coach. No offence don't tell stoops. Did they learn a hater during mid label at half walk walkout. Bluestone speaking of. As athletes, global, Florida. Gators are going to be headed into stark Vegas this weekend, and Dan Mullen used to live there and he doesn't more gamble and not only live there. He built an empire there. I would say, I don't think that's overstating. I don't think so. He's the one that convinced they used to hate starting Vegas the term looting. So he used to go to this place of what Ross tweeted this this place in starkville Bob up payback and he would get up his, I can't sing, never..

"Team that I mentioned earlier, which is where I was on Saturday, and that was at Ohio State and just, you know, I was there because it was ever Myers first game back after his administrative leave. What did you learn? I learned that he genuinely. He saw. He said this and I maybe wouldn't believe seen in person. He was so appreciative of the little things, the band plan, hang on sleepy going to the skull session, you know, hug and his team as you always before the game, all those things. Because as he says they were taking away from, that's the reason I was there. I wrote a, I wrote a column about that that's only ESPN dot com right now that it's gone over great up in Columbus. But listen this true. I mean, the fact is it was taken it. We've seen this other athletes. We see this the coaches when we see this with athletes that are hurt when you suddenly are at home, watching on television, even if you're in the building, even if your practice, but you're a home will watch it on television while it's going on that is a hard pill to swallow like biggies, say about his racecar Diller heart right somebody else's dancing when my woman Dylan heart said that to me he, he was hurt, had to get out of his car at the Brickyard four hundred. And he said, it's like watching somebody else began his wife dance woman with this woman is the family show. So we got Penn State Ohio State this weekend, and it's a playoff game. It is, what do you expect? Well, and to your point, people always like expand the playoff and go to eighteen sixteen teams. This is a playoff game. It is. This is an elimination game. I'm going to be at another one up. These are the games and we talk about this game on this show because with that playoff predicted that tells you even if you were just an essay. Person, and that's all you watch. You don't watch any game outside of the conference. You need to keep an eye on this one because you're going to see more than likely one of these teams because listen that play predictor at Penn State where to win this game this weekend, they're the ones that are gonna take over that number four spot. I expect shootout and going into the year, honestly before I was there and personal Saturday, I'm might not have believed that Ohio State could keep up in a shootout with trace McSorley and Penn State. Dwayne Haskins is, is the truth may legit, oh, he's the truth. And there's a reason Joe boroughs at LSU. Yeah, Joe borough is at LSU because Dwayne Haskins beat him out for the Ohio State quarterback job. They engaged in quite a battle during the spring Haskins ultimately wins at I in Happy Valley all day Tuesday. I'm doing a big feature for sportscenter on Saturday on one of a Penn State's offense of linemen. And I talked spoke extensively with James Franklin who you see here, not only for that feature but about his team. He loves his team. They lost a ton offensively. This saquon Barkley to the New York Giants day. Sean Hamilton was one. Of the best and most underrated wide receivers in the country. Last year they got bowlers. So you would expect, okay, they're going to fall off authentically, oh, Appalachian state gave them all they could handle in week one that was actually a great learning experience with this group. So they have resorted all trace McSorley does is win. He is tougher than woodpecker lips man. And I think this one is going to be attract me. I agree with you, and it's going to be so fun to what I learned this from you that trace McSorley won four consecutive state championship, all he does win. All it does all that that young man does is win football games and it's fella sewn on news win. Was that. Was it right? All I do Callen we can't. We can't sing it. "I went to Nassau, Bahamas. Did you? Could you imagine now I know I can't imagine, you know, my wife and your wife. Can you imagine saying, hey, you know what? Ben go to football games so much for Levin me. This is great. I love you so much. I'm going to take you down to someone. So yeah, we'll take you to the grove. I'm gonna. I'm gonna take you to between the rich, you know, all those all those all those sayings like that would go over like, yeah, unfortunately, I have like thirty of those, and none of them can be mentioned on. You know, it's, it's you almost got brand. Can I say that would go over like flatulence and church? Sure, yeah. Oh, that's a big win for the for the worldwide leader. It's the scientific term that was it a house state by the way. We need to add to the rooster rewind. We're going to get that a little bit because it was kind of important their quarterback. Also, he pretty good speaking. He's talking about two, so two. Good man. So let's talk about to. Listen, I don't understand how to keep your works. What even does sample quarterback rating guests. But what I do know is ninety eight out of one hundred anything as good as seventy five out of one hundred or anything is good. If you're a passer and twelve touchdowns in a lot of times isn't even trying the second half and he won't be this weekend against Louisiana Lafayette. So, and he's not playing full games. No, he's not playing games. He's putting up astounding numbers astounding. And I actually asked saving after the game on the field win. Have you coached offense? This potent? And he said, we've had some good offenses around here, and he kind of looked at me like, I'm not going to answer that. He he, he didn't disagree with you. He just couldn't say that he'd disagreement in didn't look as great as to is, and it's accurate is he is. He's also got playmakers everywhere, whether it's Smith and Judy on the outside on the perimeter who we see running right there. But the cats that Smith made on the first offensive play of the game that game. It was. I play the game. I play the game Mak Wilson picked off a pass. Second play. The game is to Tonga by lower to devante Smith, the same hookup that won the national championship last year. That's all last place standing next to you believe bananas. Smith's catch was unbelievable, full full extension. Does this do like the look. Good. Okay. Probably have size a ball is in their hands anyway. The presenting me with a gift a juggernaut. Oh yeah. Have some of my casserole. So Alabama I mentioned is the ESPN chalk people say that the Vegas people are gambling because I said the Vegas people can't shut up about Alabama, like like they can't. The people who who study sports gambling say they can't remember these wiseguys out in the desert loving college team as much as they love them and just assume they're going to play off. Like that's just how it's going to go. Here's my opinion. My opinion is the only way that Alabama doesn't make the playoff is if they beat themselves and I don't want. I know a lot of y'all love the LSU Tigers and a lot of y'all watching love the allburn Tigers. Those are not good football teams. They are great football teams. Alabama is just a juggernaut juggernaut you know, the first time I heard that we're, you remember come fly with me the Michael Jordan movie. Yeah, the documentary. Yeah. The guy whoever the narrator was call. Michael, an offensive job or not in that movie and on. Never forget. I had the cassette. I watched it so much at broke the VHF, and I went and looked up well, juggernaut. Well, right. I knew who the new juggernaut minute because of the x. men. S. a comic book I love dropping coma books because I'm a dear and the headlights when it comes to comic books. Hey, so the playoff we have this thing in eastern called the playoff predictor, sip predict who's going to be in the playoff. And right now, these are the favorites and look at that number for Alabama. Eight eighty percents is so Georgia and Clemson right there in the team is kind of creeping up on the heels of those guys is the.

"The ad only seventeen players committed to in Tennessee inch players committed film. We have Tony five. We have fourteen prayers commit to fourteen men that I will say this. I think both of these teams by twenty twenty or going to be powers. Again, I think would JIMBO Fisher building is fantastic. And I think would Tom Herman's going to be able to do. Now that he has had that crossroads win. And I think that win for Tom, Herman against TCU was across road win. You lose that. Everybody's like, hey, Tom, Herman is a second year. He's not really doing that. Great. No, he won that game and now people are buying into it which helps recruiting. So it's a shame that those two teams are going to play each other for the long for the longest. But I don't agree with the fact that a lot of sexy fans, if things that Jim MOS never gonna win the national title there on that. I'm gonna move on, but I will tell you this. You want teams to hate your team, right? I don't care about Iowa State. You know why? Because I always say it's not really relevant. K, I don't care about wake force or basically every other team in the ACC because they're all pathetic this year outside of Clemson because they don't matter. So of Texas fans are hating the aggies. That means you're doing something right. Embrace the haters, ask Alabama fans about that. They've had those for a long time. Eight, five, five, two, four, two. Paul is a phone number. Let's take one more phone call because I'm I'm pump for this team. RJ is in Kentucky. Talked to me while cat fan, hey, what's up? But I tell you, UK football is everybody succeeded around here. There's. Oh, basketball. Talk one on. Listen in rightfully so in the job that Mitch Barnhart did remember twenty thirteen. He took over a team Mark stoops that was trying to find its way they go to and ten in the first year right in so Jeremy Pruitt who's struggling at Tennessee and Chad Morris struggling at Arkansas should think Mitch Barnhart and Mark stoops because they can say, you know what? They gave him a little time to turn around that program and look what they're doing in Lexington now grant about game last night in the rain. And it looked like a pool crowd, and I'm never seen the crowd that electrified at UK football game. I've been getting a UK games. Never seen it that loud before. Bilking change the quite the play call because he couldn't. They couldn't hear you. It is a the thing is when you have sixty thousand RJ. Thanks for the phone call, man. I appreciate that. When you have sixty thousand and they're rabid fans, they are hungry for victory, right? And I think that Kentucky can taste it right now, and I can tell you, Mark. Stoops was tasted a while back when I talked to him in media days. When I talked to him before the Florida game, it was no longer, hey, let me try to convince you are team is good right Jones to try to convince us that Tennessee was good. Okay, that in work out well for, but when Mark stoops and I talked to him and he didn't try to convince me that this team was good. He kind of had that smile like will be all right. That's one on new. This team was for real now. Can they do it against South Carolina? Who about great against vandy last week, we'll see. I will know one thing for sure about that game your mouse because it's going to be loud at Kroger field eight, five, five, two, four, two. Paul is the phone number hit.

"Pretty input Simmons ESPN radio the ESPN app. Siriusxm channel eighty JD. In for, Freddie. Coleman is on vacation and JD. I'm Tony, man. I've known our next guest for a lot of years going back to my days co hosting with Kirk herbstreit back in Columbus, Ohio that tell you what the stoops brothers. They know how to coach they can coach them up, and they get tired of answering the same question a year after year. I guess right now on the shell Pennzoil performance line is a man who exercised some Kentucky demons. That's Mark stoops head coach of the Wildcats. Coach, congratulations. You know, you beat Florida after thirty one years, and I remember seeing good SEC media days and suit was not authorized look sharp as always thank you. The look on your face. When the first question was about Florida. I thought you were going to throw up on your boots. So you know, what the Florida question? What are the chances that a stoops brothers reunion has fine wine over bourbon served any stoops brother get together? There's gonna be some good bourbon. Sure. Just as long as the bears cold. It's all right. And I guarantee you that bourbon would taste like fine wine. Now, finally, beating Florida did just described that moment, you heard about it so often what did you like it really so good? It was very gratifying, you know, first and foremost for our players, and you know, what I mean, I I think this is a special group by love this team. You know, I love the way they've worked and have a great attitude about them and we went into that game expecting to win. And and just went about our business, you know, all year, and and, you know, really proud to them, and obviously the fan base, you know, because honestly. You know, for a year know, I got here. There's just so much to do you're just worrying about getting the team better every day and playing the best you can. And then you know after a while it does build up. You get tired of hearing about it. And I also think it's it's undue pressure on the guys that just come into the program. Maybe a freshman sophomore don't even know anything about their streaking. And that's all they hear about. So for many reasons, it was very very good to get that victory in. Fan base is wait a long time in our players worked exceptionally hard. So it was very very gratifying. That's for sure. You know, we we played them. Very good. You know, that's the other piece of it is, you know, there was you know, maybe one game since I've been out of hand. But other than that we had a chance to beat them about every other year, and you know, just didn't come out on the right side. So definitely last year lingered with me for a little bit in Mark. I love that photo of cash Daniel in you hugging after the game in midfield. I mean that just seemed like such a special moment genuine emotion. What did that feel like that that really did feel good because it's just so authentic your any moment? And I love all these guys in cash is a special player special guy. And you know, he just turned around me up and gave me a big old bear hugging. Lifted me up rag doll, y'all know put on a few pounds. So that's not easy. But now, it's just it was just a great experience for the players and myself and early everybody both in our program. And what's the feeling like when you get back to campus after a big win like that? Yeah. It was very very fun though. The plane home was fun. You know, those night games on the road. You get home about three in the morning. But there was nobody tired on that plane. I can promise you. We got back to the airport. There was actually fans out there at the airport Creighton us and in back when the buses pulled into the stadium you're to the parking lot here too complex. There's people waiting. So obviously people were pretty fired up March. Steve's head coaches, the Kentucky Wildcats. They ended a long over a decade losing streak to to the once-mighty Gators of Florida here with us on the shell Pennzoil performance line. And you have one of my favorite players in college football coach and a guy in Beni snow. You're running back is one of the most underrated players not just in the SEC all college football. He goes twenty seven carries over one hundred seventy five yards last year. But thirteen hundred yards nineteen touchdowns for people who have no idea who Benny Snell is please describe your running back to you have. Kentucky. Yeah. Well, if you don't know much about them, all you gotta do is pop on that film against Florida and watch him. And I promise you you'll have respect after that game. Because he got some very very difficult yards. But the best way described him as a God. It's always had a chip on his shoulder. And I love that you know, starting from from the first year he was in our program during the preseason camp. And just always had a chip on his shoulder and attitude, and you know, I love that. You know, you'd always rather say whoa than giddy up. You know what? I mean, you go to slow down a little bit times and just loved that about him. He he just you know, sometimes we're trying to simulate a drill and practice, and I may blow whistle or whatever. And he wants to look at me like he wants to wrap my head off because he thinks he could have got five more yards, and he probably could have. But I'm like Benny we're trying to work a drill here. But that's just the way he's competitive and and never wants to go down, and he gets very very tough yards. And always has since day one market you take this program over and the Wildcats were winning about two games year. Now the last two season you guys have been to bowl games off to a to start. How how have you gone? About the business of building this program up the way, you have just tried to do it the right way, we all want instant success. But there's other times when you just have to be methodical and what you're doing being in. And believe me we try to win every game. We take the field since the day. I got here. But there is a way of doing it. You know, the way we went out and played this past Saturday against four. There was no fluke involved. There was no gimmick. There was no hurry up. There was nothing. We learned up and we played we played the game the way it's supposed to be played. And that's what I respect. And that's what I want because there's no shortcuts not not when you come to a place like Kentucky, not if you want to win and win consistently. You have to be strong. You have to be strong in the mind. You physically got to be able to handle it. We were we were we were better in the trenches. You know, we were we were more physical and the offensive line and the defense line. And that's how you're gonna win your games in the long run. And we've got to continue to do that. I've known you all these years coach also know that not forget tonight right on a Tuesday. It was Sunday. You're going boys Dover next who's next moving on has it been different. Or did you give them an extra day because it was this was? Unique. No not a bit. No, no, not quite Monday afternoon. Meaning that we have. And you know, it was it was on to the next opponent in. You know, we're worried about ourselves and how we play. I don't care who we're playing. You know, it's it's about us. You know, we respect everybody we play in fear. No one. But, but it's about our preparation where we're going to do to be the best version of ourselves. And you know, that's what we try to talk about a better tomorrow. 'cause we had media today. That's what I told the guys after a gathering them up after Tuesday practice was I don't want to hear anything about Florida when they start asking you because it's it's about, you know, moving on and taking care of business this week and playing the best way we can go to the Kentucky. Wildcats Mark stoops here with us on ESPN radio. Jeff dickerson. I mean, Pat Simmons how much broader here coach, you know, with all your best college football experience after two weeks coming into week three how much does it coach truly know about his team? Whatever team it may be right. How much do you really know? Well, you know depends on the challenge that you have. I think I had a better understanding of what team we had after week one. And I certainly have a good idea what we have after week two because of the opponent that we played the adversity that we faced how we handled it how we played on the road in a tough environment. So I have a pretty good idea of who we are. But that's the beautiful thing about this sport. Is you have every seven days to prove it or be humbled. And you know in the beauty of it. You can't ever get too far ahead of yourself. It's a long long season. And the teams that are strong it can endure that grind and back to back and play that way every week or the teams that are more successful. And that's where we're trying to get. We're trying to get over that hump to have those, you know, the more victories, and they keep on going to keep on climbing that ladder. You mentioned that cold beer the discipline. When he finally got home. You know, you you take off the ball. Cap a tie, everything you get in the lazy. Boy, whatever may be before. You put the tape on how good that coal wind takes. It tasted real good. I'm not gonna lie. Bourbon cigar when I got home. I don't care if it was three thirty in the morning. We have point enjoy their fifty. I had to get it in. You know what I mean? Guarantee you. Sweet cigar. Smoking, right. Dove, man. That's right. Coach congratulate you and your man you're on week three and a and a look congrat- for exercising. A demon. They so much as always joining us here on ESPN radio. I appreciate it. Thanks for having me. My pleasure and good luck to you guys. As you go forward here where we needed coach may congrats again GM is sports network on the call coming in with Jeff Dickerson. I mean, if it Simmons that's Mark stoops head coach Kentucky, they play host to Murray state coming up this weekend. And then Colorado state goals to Florida and JD when you go three decades, plus without beating a certain team in your division. Yeah. That's going to be some fine bourbon, and that's going to be inexpensive cigar, and it's going to taste that much sweeter. And that's going to be that's an feel like the nectar of life. When the touch the lips, right? I mean, it's going to be that good. Well, I mean, it's it's a football program that hasn't it really produced a whole lot of memorable moments in over the years. I mean, they've had some some good players come through Kentucky. But as a football program. This is one of the highlights. I can't remember too many other, you know, moments that really caught my attention with this program before last Saturday. And that's what's amazing about Mark stoops. I mean think about me he's gone to bowl game after bowl game after ballgame right now with Kentucky. I mean, that's pretty impressive. And when you look at what he's been able to do there. And to get over that hump. Finally, hey, watch out, ladies and gentlemen because Mark stoops now. Now getting over that one. He puts Kentucky in that nine one category. And goes in Windsor goes from seven and eight right to nine watch out of the people are gonna come calling. But right now, he's enjoying the moment Hecuba weekend. If the Kentucky Wildcats guarantee, you that was some fine. Sipping a bourbon coming up next. Speaking of. Well. Second everything you can out of that the marrow of life, right? Aaron Rodgers was doing that very thing..
