I love new players coming alive. Oh, yeah. It's great. It's awesome. Yeah. So yeah. That would be. That would definitely be an interesting and the more. I think about it is it is kind of crazy to see. The difference from the years prior. So what's on the sleep for tonight? Well, the kings will go to Denver Denver. Yeah. About that. So the kings which would be interesting because if I Thomas plays it'll be against his former original team the team that picked him with the last pick in the draft his year. Also the books in the Pacers, Milwaukee going to Indiana. That's a good game. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Paces on a winning streak again, the seventy Sixers will try and rebound from last night. And they'll play the Knicks the pistons, are you think the rest will be out to get him. That could be interesting the pistons are at boss ever officially returns tonight official. Yeah. Nice rockets are at T wolves to at is definitely game to water warriors are at Portland on the back toback for Golden State and the clippers host the Phoenix Suns. "Is this is this road trip important for the Spurs to tread water here. They can't afford to tried water here. Just because of this is a long road road of stay seven more. And losing the first one is not a good side. So hopefully, the break helped and they can get some wins afterwards. But like I said this is the west you can't afford to lose game as of right now, they're tied at the rockets for fifth place, but they have twenty three losses and a team like the kings twenty five acres of twenty six Minnesota twenty-seven the right there. I mean, we knew the west is going to be tight and it is again tight. So. Yes. Also tomorrow night, the nuggets are at the nets. That's that's another game. If I told you five months ago would be interesting game you'd slapped me, right nuggets. Nets. Neither one of these teams were expected to be as good as they are do I need to make a slap noise again. No, okay. But you're right. This is an interesting batch of where nuggets are second place still in the west if I'm not mistaken, and then the nets are also in a playoff spot. So no one expected that Denver is there is only a half a game behind the warriors. And the nets are right or on their way to if the pace is good, man. Didn't it? Great winning record. Yeah. Like, but honestly, if this was the west they will not be close to where they are seeming wise, but again, take vantage where you're at right. When there is four teams in your conference that have less than twenty wins. Take advantage of it. Yup. Well, I think we're done. Join us on Thursdays. We do our trade deadline show. We should have a number of trades that come in even if they're small scale. I think there's a multiple teams out there looking to improve for that playoff push. Of course, the Davis watch is going to reach peak level at that moment in time. So we'll regret level midnight people threat level in. Yup. Even from I do not it's from the office. Of course, it is. Don't hate on the office man office or friends with the right. Yeah. Tunes popular shows of last thirty years. Yeah. Why why on earth would I watched them? Connect with other anyways. Your wife's depend on those shows. No, not really. I mean, we like them. But we don't watch them. Religiously. No. I don't watch religion. I just mortally in the background noise for me when I'm doing other things. Gotcha. Anyways, we're done. Okay. Thank you for joining us everyone. Please sound Thursday where we see the end of the trade deadline, and we'll see all that. Good news bits tricks in twits as always Jeff off that is Mark Sousa. And we'll see you next time..

"He gonna take over -absolutely not now people are saying, well, maybe they should draft a quarterback in the next couple rounds again. And do we know they're Garoppolo situation because of Brady's not gonna be there. Forever. Yeah. I mean, you have to kind of get ahead of this stuff. So. Maybe the patriots do also look at quarterback this year. I think the Packers just might obviously, I think most people say the patriots are more likely to do. So, but you never know, man. Again, you wanna get ahead of these things before you're stuck with no quarterback and then retired quarterback. So. We'll see. I mean, they have Brian Hoyer. He can only couple more Super Bowls, right? Yes. I mean, let's see how good Bella Jake. Really is. Right. Take Brian yard. Pretty sure Bill would retire. Ryan Hoyer retirement, right? Josh good luck with that. And Josh videos ago. Where's tibo? Anyways, anything else you'd like to add in for this episode of GMC podcast football. Just a also we saw Trey wingo. Kind of go off and you were tall. Yes. Forty. We can go you're saying sports podcast. But you're also saying was stunt. But we never know these situations. We had a moment where he's not. He's never been like that. It seemed a little bit forced a little bit mania factured. There's also a moment that's never really been where rebels that boring like this is arguably the most boring football game in NFL history. That's the most hype you know, I mean it was like watching it just a preseason game. Almost you know. So I understand why if he was upset like why he will watch it. They keep complaining about it. But it's like people love to complain about stuff. And of course, it was a close competitive match up too. So it wasn't like this game was over at the first quarter. Like people thought, maybe this pickup still. But nine his mind. He was kind of furious about people, and he was like saying, we're the worst quote, unquote. I think he was kind of aiming at us too. Because we kept saying that it was boring. Maybe he was hurt our podcast. I'm not sure. But overall it was just a outburst. I mean, we all have outbursts, and his was just you mind might be fabricated might have been scripted, obviously. But we never know. Yep. Yep. We never know. "Do you see the coach lasting that long to that game? When when you think when you think he's gone after after United. Think he'll get. Yeah. I think he'll get to the United game. But if you lose that one. And so he needs to beat other Liverpool or United. You're saying do you think if even if he wins one of those games as he keep his job? If you want if if he beats Liverpool or mentions United as jolly, yeah. Probably probably keeps keeps his job for a little bit longer. All right guys to win this game. Because we want to be we won't be up with Ricky. It's no I haven't job. Yeah. But speaking of which I think the biggest result of this last week was Cardiff Newcastle. Newcastle beats Cardiff and they jumped them in the standings. And of now is move moves into the relegation talked about that last week. How like this was like you lose your in serious. A whole. Yeah. Newcastle gets a win pretty easy win for being honest. But they've just been playing so underwhelming Lee this whole season. So I I wouldn't have been surprised if Carter feed them to be honest with you. Yeah. We'll see it's Newcastle. Could be right back in relegation-zone. After next. We say it's safe to have that win and not being in as right now. Yeah. -solutely, so at least at least being contention not to be relegated is if they lost. Who knows they might still at eleven points there. I think it's their status. Lost three nothing to Manchester City, right? If I remember correctly, which we talked about like they're gonna get destroyed three nothing pretty about. They put Everton nine nothing. Still. Everton Chelsea arson the next three that's so unfortunate for them. Yeah. They're just going to be at the bottom for good. Aren't they? I don't think they're going to get more than twenty five points, which would be really low. Other than that, shifting gears to United States. MLS? So we've seen a couple of expansion teams get named Austin is the latest addition Austin will be the twenty seventh franchise in the most. But the battle for twenty eight is big because some people think that at twenty eight the legal cap that there won't be any more. Although I disagree with that. But it is important. What do you think the cap is if not I don't have to like, the NFL style? Yeah. Maybe. But regardless one club that's been vying for a chance at MLS who's been overlooked three times now Sacramento Republic f c they have now landed elite investor Ron Burkle he will by the team and he bought land to build a stadium. This is big news because Ron Burkle Z owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins. And they're pretty successful. He is a big time investor. He was early investor in Uber. He. He knows monks of other tech. He tried to buy the Sacramento Kings twice before and got shot down by the I believe because he wanted to move them down to Orange County. He wanted to keep them in Sacramento. The first time and second time he wanted to move them. But regardless he has bought the Republic really strengthening their position as possibly getting the buying lane was the biggest thing their hands down. And like you said like he's an early investor in Uber. Like, he's a very intelligent guy. He knows business right business decisions. And if he thinks that's how come into Republican be series contender for an MLS Bod. And they're one of the they had the most attendance in their league at the moment. Why not take that opportunity right now? I think there's four teams vying for one spot, and I think Sacramento house the best bid so far. But Saint Louis is definitely a possibility saying, it'd be they lost the Rams Scindia go and Phoenix or the other two, but I believe it'll be Sacramento or Saint Louis. They have the best shots. Maybe detroit. Also a team that could be in their city that could be in their brother. This is our show man, we're done. All All right. right. Well, joining us. Yes. Hopefully, we'll have more news on just anymore transfer news. Yes. Well, that'd be the final week. Right. We so. Yeah, we'll definitely hear some chance for news. But I see next year him being he's for runner friend VP next year, if they had to do the if your place a bet right now, you'd get the odds that he'd be the front runner for sure. Okay. Anything else? No. Let's. What we do. Now. Should we call it or do you wanna do another segment? Oh, you know. I think we're good. We're good tomorrow. We yeah. Tomorrow will be good. We'll get some more like off-season new think tomorrow, we should talk about rule change possibilities including including overtime including reviewing may be pass interference goals. Cleal Tugela girls. We like, I'm kidding. I don't know. Why not why? I was y'all dog valid like slumber party talk. Anyways, I'm married. I'm not getting I'm not stepping on that land line. How does she do? Did you watch the game with you? She watched most of the games with me. She she left temporarily for one of the games. But mom was so like vocal with my family. Just we're all together. I was my mom. I've never seen her so invested in a game in my life. She she was like, I'm so sick of the ethnic patriots. And all this mom doesn't curse either. And she was cursing up a storm. I was like, whoa. Oh, like, you're not into football as much as we. And my dad and my brothers are. And yet, you're the one the most Boko and she's like, I hate hate the patriots. I'm so sick of Tom Brady's arrogant beeping. Beep beep beep like what where did this come from a literally came from out of nowhere. And then she got she was super angry about the Rams winning. And she said they were cheaters I'm like, not the cheetah's. They just got lucky sound like they purposely on that. I want to say I want to end our show with one more statement. Yesterday's chiefs. Patriots was the highest rated program on TV since last year Super Bowl and was up twenty six percent from last year's night game between the eagles in the Vikings. How many viewers let's see thirty one point two rating and forty eight percent televisions were watching the game last night. That's an insult almost half of the town. So which is the best for a conference championship game since the two thousand twelve and if see championship between the giants and the forty Niners which was that that was that forty eight percent to that one so much maybe market New York. And I don't know, I guess San Francisco New York or too big mar I was kind of a weird game though. Because like Alex Smith was the main. Yeah. And the muffed punt as well. I run a yes, there was a muff pumped in that game. Also. So the. I didn't I know that game view of the NFL is dying. Nobody's watching. Let's just bury that thing right now for a while. Again, like people say like America's gain like the American Alzheimer's time is baseball America's future in presidents football. No question about it. Well, that is all the time. We have forced us tune. We'll will rule changes like Mark said. And if any any of other news breaking news comes in. We we'll be sure to get that right? At you. As always I'm just off. "He six seventy three a little bit taller. I think he's six seven and three quarters if I'm not mistaken so Osweiler six eight right? When I saw that he got yesterday. He got sound. Like, really Paxton Lynch. It's crazy I expect. Honestly, I'm not gonna let you Paxton Lynch like the XFL or the all the alliance football. But Lien's of American football by this. It's crazy because. Usually you have your backup quarterback kind of resemble your starter. So your offense doesn't have to completely change. Like that was the that was a story about why teams weren't gonna sign Colin Kaepernick. Right. Well, if we signed capper, Nick we've gotta change our whole team when he comes in the game. Okay. That we know that was just the BS excuse. But the thing is is that there is something Seattle does the same. Exact there is something there though. Right. Like you do want to kind of keep your offense similar. So you're not like, okay. Well, we we ran the the spread offense. But now are running the wing t you know, you kinda wanna keep it similar that Lynch and Russell Wilson two very different quarterbacks. Yeah. One is the small starting quarterback in the NFL and the other one is the well, maybe until collar Marie starts if he does that's true. Until if he comes if he does win the NFL, then he will likely be the shortest starting quarterback. Yep. Absolutely. I wanna have high. I wanna have a size by size comparison of. Murray and Lynch. Ones that child wanted a dolt anyways as an theon school, and we'll talk about. Nope. I think we're done. Just Monday Monday. We'll have the outcome of both AFC NFC champ games. "But if they treat them treat them after the after the deadline, right after June first, I'm I'm sure, but I mean, like if you're the Steelers, Jeff are, you are you literally gonna trade your best football player and give away twenty million dollars. Do the Steelers have done worse. Let's get really they've made crazy decision. I can't recall. I dunno tiny rothlisburger that contract was pretty intense. I mean, really he won two Super Bowls. Yeah. But he also has been arrested, and he's also had rape charges and he's also alleged right? I mean, do you really think that that would be that was a weird or decision than than trading your best player and getting in getting penalized twenty million dollars to do? So that's like a pretty devas. Stating move for football to make to get rid of your best football player and seventh of your salary cap is a lot. But I don't know what's going to happen. I'm not the Steelers organization. So anything get traded. I just don't know how they get out of that. They can't take the hit. Like, I don't know if there's something they can do or they can get out of the paying that twenty million dollar fee to trade him before June first. But if not he's he'll get treated after June. I if anything and by then him big bend, my best friends again who knows not a chance. Absolutely. Maybe no, no no way throats now, they're if they're going to be on the team they're gonna disappoint but played in the game. They're they're still play well together. But no, they're not reconcilable. No way, those two egos. Absolutely not. But that is all the time. We have today. You don't wanna talk about the bears field goal challenge. Oh, yeah. Everybody. One everybody missed shocker because it's forty three yards. No, one was even close. One guy was really close. Really? Yeah. He missed like two feet. He he had the distance easy. He could made it from fifty five. It's funny. Just hooked it a little bit. Yeah. And no one else was close them. You see there? There were so many kids also legal to give away free beer for years. So that wasn't going to happen. The bear that burry was actually going to pay for pay for tickets to a game because they failed up. They can do that. It's like saying like. Like, you're running for president or like Trump saying we're gonna we're gonna build a wall. And we're going to disband everything, you know, like you can't do that. Like. Oh, right. Well, that sucks, but anyways, that's all the time. We have for thank you for joining us to in a moral. "I maybe I'm naive there. But I thought it was going to be a good fight because Jones Dana white like defending Jones either. And lengthy interview he kind of did. It was a good card though. Cyborg losing John Jones winning. I think are very make UC to thirty two very memorable effect is in Los Angeles. Which was interesting. They moved it last second because Jones couldn't fight in Nevada. Talk about bending over backwards for one fighter. Exactly. But John Jones is a draw and I will fully admit that. He's probably him in McGregor the US's. Biggest stars wasn't. Yeah. Jones in McGregor for sure right now. Not that they're the best to fighters. They're the most controversial they're just names and their draws right? Like John Jones is a guy. You wanna see you on Jones's a heyday defied their mcgregor's below five. Even even if you like John Jones, he's an exciting fighter to one hundred percent McGregor to they're both exciting just him as a person is not that. What's the word? Good. He's I hope that he becomes a better person. I really do because I think he's any. No, it's cool. He's got two brothers have played in the NFL who Arthur Jones from the Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl winning player who played for the ravens when they won the Super Bowl. And channel Jones Jones. Oh, that's. Arthur joined the Jones and John Jones. They're all brothers is a heck of a family when the adrit there. Yeah. You got three pro athletes one who's arguably the best fighter in the world. One. Who is arguably at one time the best defensive linemen in the league. Arguably at least one of the better athletes and Arthur Jones who had a nice little career playing for the ravens. I don't know if he's playing anymore to be honest with you. But hey, man, three brothers all make it big. That's pretty cool. But anything else you need somebody. You wanted to talk about a harbach before we in the show today. Oh, right. He loses. And he speaking of sensitive and somebody who I don't know not playing nice sometimes he didn't wanna shake hands with the four coach. He didn't wanna think he's sick and tired of losing. And the thing is he's never won the big one. And he's been so close to that. So many times even in the NFL in the cultural branks eight can't get it done is end. I know he's a Michigan native in alum and all this stuff. Is that a question that he might get fired if when four years from now, we're in the same position where he loses again and again and again. He comes so close, but ends up just short. Maybe honestly, maybe because. There's only so much failures. He doesn't have any uses time. He's at a big program. This is his team. This is his team recruited Stanford. There's already built in excuses when it comes. And he was great at Sanford. Don't get me wrong. But like it's hard to get academically the players that you want. It's it's hard. It's harder to recruit at Stanford. Michigan though, man, I mean, we're talking about one of the best programs in the country. He's had full recruiting classes. This is fully his team. Now like, it's not like he's using somebody else's players. The excuses are over. I think next year is a big year for Jim Harbaugh. If he doesn't win a conference or win a major game. Yeah. I don't know if he'd be fired. But I think that his legacy would be definitely be tarnished a little bit. Yeah. And one last thing, congratulations. George Kibble and Travis Kelsey Travis. Kelsey had the record for most receiving yards by Ted in the season. And then it was broken twenty minutes later by George kindle. Yeah. It was pretty incredible fantastic seasons. It's crazy. All of these happened in the same year and like the same game pretty much same same week seven. Yeah. But that is all the time. We have today. "Yeah. Welcome everybody to the GSM see football podcast. I'm your host, Mark Sousa. And with me, of course, as always is Jeff Mellon off. Hi, everybody. Today. We'll be discussing Thursday night football. Tonight's game between the saints and the Cowboys in Texas. We have a little bit of a war of words between the teams mostly coming from the Dallas end. We will also be previewing week thirteen across the NFL and the next couple of segments. We will not be having a Friday show. Like, we usually do because we are moving locations. We will not have the studio vailable to us. So what we will be doing is previewing all the action across the NFL what you can expect on Sunday. Our thoughts are pinions on what the outcomes of those games will be what to look for or whatnot. And of course, the end of the show will talk about some news notes around the NFL that we have not covered. So Jeff let's jump into Thursday night football. The Dallas Cowboys are coming in on a three game winning streak you we know they won last Thursday on thanksgiving against the Washington Redskins. These same thrown a ten game winning streak again they won on Thursday. This time against the Atlanta Falcons. Both teams are playing good. Football. The saints are arguably the best team in the NFL right now deny that they are. I don't know who are against them to be honest. The Cowboys a much better team sinc- acquisition of Amari Cooper. So we need to talk about this game. I think it's going to be the most watched game Thursday night football game of the year. That's for sure as we have the saints. Who are you know, must see TV nowadays the Cowboys who are you know, been America's team since the seventies. Or so so I expect a lot of eyeballs be on this game. What do you what are you looking for in this game? Are there? Some interesting news, maybe stats you'd like to talk about. Well, senior number one rushing defense in the league averaging allowing less than seventy or seventy three yards rushing. Again. That's pretty darn impressive for me. And as Elliot how all time he's leading Russia right now in the NFL. So this something's gotta give here. So he's a seasonal leader. So far in the NFL to date, and then the saints have the best run defense today in the NFL's. Yes. So something's got to give. But what I think is gonna give is e he'll Elliott. Okay. Yeah. Tyron Smith might be playing for the Cowboys. He he didn't play last week he suited, but he didn't play he's questionable today. I wonder if he'll play that would be a big boost if he can go I thought that was weird last week, by the way, not to go back to us Lupu, you hardly ever see players be active in the not play nowadays. Right. Like, usually like if you're good to go. You're starting right. Like if you can play you're in if you can't play we're not gonna keep you on the bench, maybe a quarterback and some weird situations, but not usually with a position player, and they were hesitant entirely. Sure. But yeah, they had them for quote, unquote, like emergency reasons like well if he's getting up to play should play. But regardless he may play tonight. The saints defense has been playing a lot better since that week one debacle against the bucks. They had a couple of other games where they were a little bit lacklustre. But man that defense has really turned it around lately. Wouldn't you say? Oh, yeah. One hundred percent like like you said the first week of the season against the buccaneers. They looked like they were gonna fall on their face this season. Yeah. I mean, they get crushed..

"And welcome to the Chia. See soccer podcast. I'm your host, Mark Sousa. And with me, of course, Jeff Mellon off. How you doing? Jeff happy thanksgiving. Everybody thinks giving spread around the corner. I am starving for some food because I refused to eat until thanksgiving. Yes. And you know, I was starving for some international soccer action. This last week. Boy, you're not disappointed. I got my fill for sure, I even got seconds. You could say that we have the UA for nations league come to a close at least for the group stage. We do have finalists for the final four that will take place in June of two thousand nineteen so in about seven months long time from now about seven months the four finalists that will look into. We'll see who actually comes out on top. I so far think this tournament has been great it has replaced meaningless international friendlies for the European countries. Gone are the days of a team Mike England playing against the Faeroe Islands or England playing against I don't know Costa VO, for example, and. You're replacing these games with competition that's more suited for each nation. So, you know, you look at these groups like in gay it with what the nation's leading for now familiar is broken up into four tiers. There's league A-league be league see league D, And there's a promotion relegation aspect to it, which is awesome. And you look at these tears, for example, in in group one in league, a Holland France, and Germany, I mean, those are three great nations right there all three of extremely in-depth soccer history. And that's what you get in this kind of in this kind of tournament and for for Europe. These games matter they go far in terms of qualification is concerned for for the euro Cup. That's every four years, of course, like the World Cup. So these games do matter. So Jeff, do you have the standings pulled up here? Yes. For league. Hey, we have our finalists. Let's go through the groups before the groups yet you have group one pulled up hauling on. Yes. All right. So who topped that group in group one of league? A there is Netherlands is the top one. Yeah. And they had a injury time goal which draw which drew the game against Germany to give them their spot. They're one of the finalists. So holland. I think the most unlikely team to win that group they go through they've been impressive. You know? They were a team that didn't qualify for the last World Cup. They had a re focus their attention on future tournaments and some of their young players like Virgil Van Dyke really stepped up in this tournament. So and you want to hear someone that guy. Relegated that you. I didn't expect to get relegated. And they were winless in Germany, Germany, Germany was actually I think they had to jaws. The two losses granted. But no wins. That just seems unlikely because they won the World Cup twenty fourteen. Yeah. And then they had a terrible World Cup this last one. So they continue that run of bad for a bad form. They just a change of guard needs to happen in Germany. I mean of all of the people in group one to win and to the people in to the teams that group one or both the World Cup champions. The last two World Cups and Netherlands will be the last team to win. Right. So France will stay Germany's relegated. They will move to group or delete be in the next round of UEFA nations league. Which is interesting, you wouldn't expect that Germany as always been regarded as one of the top countries in the world for soccer, one of the pillars of international soccer. So let's take a look at group two. You have those results up to. Yes, I do in first we got Switzerland..

"What's up everybody? Welcome to the GSM. See soccer podcast. I am your host Mark Sousa. And with me today is Jeff Mellon off. Jeff, how're you doing my friend? I am doing fantastic. How are you? I'm doing great. I'm doing great. I'm doing great because the politics are passed us. We don't have to see the political ads on TV any further the last couple of weeks have been brutal. We just wanna talk soccer. So I am grateful that we can watch Champions League soccer were passed. The voting were done with all that here in the states. Are you happy that that's behind us in the everytime? You watch a soccer match on TV. You don't have to see a political app during halftime. Yes. Absolutely. I'm tired of hearing about this guy wanting women's race to be abolished. And there's been horrible ones. Some really, you know, how it is the midterm elections or. The worst because it really brings out the worst. And there's so many candidates at least with the presidential election is only two people going, and you only have to talk about you only have to hear about the crap between two people. But during whatever city you live in or state, you have to hear about a million people that are running for office. So how about we talked a little soccer oil Champions League today? We're going to talk about the big Manchester Darby that's coming up at the weekend. In england. Of course. Manchester United Manchester City another match between pep Guardiola and Josie Marino. We'll take a look at the English Premier League in total. Of course, we'll talk about the games that happened this last week what teams are trending up. What teams are training down. And of course, the upcoming matches for this weekend in the crucial crucial English Premier League the crucial crucial crucial crucial. That's that's that's what the league is called the crucial crucial English Premier. Yeah. New sponsor new sponsor, so well gin and all that we'll take a look at the other leagues in Europe too. That are very popular the Italian Syria while league in Spain bonus league in Germany and French legal one. Although that seems to be pretty one-sided, but we will jump into it Jif. Sure. Hello. How are you? What was the first notable score of yesterday's Champions League matchday for well. Let's here last week. I said there would be an upset or upset alert be aware of an upset between red star and Liverpool. I was right. How the heck did that happen? I dunno luck. I wrote it on home. I wrote it on donder Mifflin paper. Maybe that was what will you took a look at the home atmosphere at Redstar. And you you knew that it was going to be tough based on just being on that field with all those fans going crazy. It was two nil. So it wasn't even like like a close game. It was kind of all red star. Yeah. I mean, you know, you expect Liverpool had just beaten red star four nil in Liverpool. So you expect Liverpool to come in. And really just have an easy game. I mean, it is red star. It is a two goals happen by the same KYW in seven minutes apart. Yes. Yes. A Milan Pavkovic who not really notable player. But now he's pretty famous. He's probably the the most loved man in that city. Yeah. It's incredible the twenty second minute and then twenty ninth minutes. So this were like back to bang bang back to back like it wasn't like oh there's one goal..

"Host Jeff monopoly with me. Once again is Mark Sousa. And we got to talk about in the world is sports this week. We got Monday night football. We got some MBA matchup to clear one salty, Kyrie Irving. We also have some NFL playoff picture, and we're going to predict link any teams that can actually make the place, you know, they're out on the outside looking in. And we have some other sports info we want to get in on the last segment. So I will start with Monday night football, the Dallas Cowboys versus the Tennessee titans. This game did not go as well as Dallas hoped or any hope for Dallas. That is as they lose his game twenty eight to fourteen it really wasn't a game to begin with in my opinion. You know started off really well for the Cowboys, but they couldn't capital. Is early on the turnovers they've created you saw the Cowboys get on the board early seven nothing, but this should have been fourteen nothing easily at least a double digit lead before the titans found their groove because that first quarter and much of that second quarter was dominated by Dallas. But that costly interception by Dak Prescott in the end zone when they were driving to make it a to score game early. I also wasn't. Yeah. I think the pass was okay. But the decision was terrible. It's double covered. You got a db on either side. So so that's also bad decision to throw the ball. Yeah. Bad decision. Our payment that decision play. Call wise now bad decision on decks party shit. Threw it away. I guarantee Jaising here. Just clapped after that. That's the way it does. Right. That's that's that's the memes have been going on recently just him. What's your response to your team's lowlights? He just says clap collapse. We also see coaches nowadays at the press conference. They just say I have to watch the. Tape to watch the doing Hugh Jackson and Jason gearless. Every question. Did you see the compilation of hugest and Tang to watch the tape? It is like five minutes long in just him say, I don't watch the tape. And it's like all coaches now. It's like, whoa. Jackson. Does it to nausea? Yeah. Yeah. Take did it Tanaz. Yeah. He's no longer a coach right now. But he's probably getting an assistant job in Cincinnati or somewhere. Probably Pittsburgh to. Yeah. I thought the Cowboys. They just started off. So well, I mean it's tie game. At halftime. I still thought at that point. They would win the game. Just because they're defense. They had been getting to mariota. They had been moving the ball down the field. We saw deck. Get the receivers into the game early and often, especially new receiver Amari Cooper. I thought he played very well last night. I receptors fifty yards and a touchdown. Yeah. And he was open many more times we're deck. Just didn't get him the football going back and watching watching just his routes not just the game film, but looking at different video and watching Cooper against those defensive backs. Actually, he really had his way with them. He should've had a lot more yards yester. Today. But two decks credit? He did that nice touchdown pass to Cooper where he kind of walked onto him hubadoo is thing. And then he catches it on that out pattern that in and out pattern, and he scores. So like, it was a scruples. A it was a kind of the jet sweep almost it shouldn't have been really counted. As a pass because he did most of the work himself Cooper did. Yeah. He really shook a defender and got free. So, but we should be talking about the Tennessee titans. More because they're the ones that one mariota did pretty well. No interceptions. Did have two touchdowns two hundred forty yards passing twenty one of twenty nine which is pretty darn stellar. Yeah. But I wouldn't say he had a good game. I mean hundred nineteen quarterback rating. Right. But he also misquote Davis on that wide open touchdown pass, which is like inexcusable in the NFL. He played a good in the second half. He did what he needed to do to win the game. He was a fishing also touched on running. Well, as we had three touchdowns excuse me. And we also Dion Lewis play. Great game. Sixty two yards rushing sixty yards receiving over one hundred yards from scrimmage yet. He was impressive down. He was impressive doing this every game because he's that dangerous as a dual threat, and he should be getting the ball, more and more..

"Thank you for returning to the GMC sports podcast again. I'm your host, Mark Sousa. And we are in the last segment. So we discussed the Thursday night. Football matchup between the Texans and the dolphins are the Texans. Routed miami. We talked about the NBA Lakers. Got a big win last night, James Harden's hurt. Jimmy Butler is on the move four. First round picks out too much. We talked about the World Series games. Three four and five that will happen this weekend in LA, I should say three and four will happen game. Five will happen. If necessary, of course, no shift, our focus to news notes around the world, and we start with one of the biggest robberies in the world, not just soccer. But in all sports the rivalry between Madrid Real Madrid. Of course in Barcelona. Storied rivalry called L classical. These two teams. In their history. They have played each other for over one hundred years, they're separated by two wins. It's been an incredible rivalry one. That seen a lot of political. Thoughts and political motivations for this. As Real Madrid has always represented the Spanish monarchy in Barcelona's, always represented Catalonia and their fight for independence. So we look at this game. It's more than a game. Camp news the site Sunday. This'll be the first game since two thousand seven where a L classic. Oh will not feature Lino messy or Cristiano Renaldo? It's a long time eleven years since since it's happened Rinaldo as we know has been sold to Juventus where he's been playing the season for the Italian giant and messy. He fractured his arm. So he's out three to four weeks. He's in the second week of that. So he's out. Madrid has been playing very poorly. We'll see what happens in this game. But if if you're a fan of this sport, there's no bigger game than classic. Oh when it comes to club domestic football. So. Moving on. We have college football this weekend. Some notable matchups. Clemson number two ranked team in the country. They face for two state for two days. We know they've had a tough season. But can they salvage something here as they host for to state or excuse me? Clemson can they salvage a good season their foreign three unranked this could boost them? This could rank them. We'll see Florida will travel to Georgia in SEC rivalry matchup number nine four to number seven Georgia. This is this might be the game of the weekend for me. One of these teams that definitely destined to be knocked out of top ten one of these teams could be catapulted into the top six. Georgia's coming off a bye. It'll be should be very strong game. I mean, very we're talking about two teams that could play defense talking about two offenses are good both come in at six one. So we'll see what happens there. But again, this is a huge game to decide the fate of the SEC another notable matchup between two ranked teams Iowan Penn State. Six and one Iowa number eighteen number seventeen Pence day at five and two. Can make sorely lead. The Nittany wines to win at home against the Hawkeyes. We will see. Penn state. Of course, there are the favorite in this game. A touchdown favorite. I don't know. I sort of like I win this match up though because their defense is a little bit better. But Penn State's offense of courses a little bit better too. So interesting game is one of these teams look to jump in the tough team probably closer to the top ten maybe not crack topped him beginning pretty close there. And then. Pac twelve battle as Washington state again is in another big game six in one Washington state ranked fourteen but this time they will not be in the comforts of their own home. They will travel to the bay area Paolo Alto as they face. Stanford. Stanford cardinal ranked twenty four they come in at five and two. Washington's writing that big wave of the win last week against Oregon. So. You know, Stanford is not a team that that really wows people in terms of the way they play don't put up a lot of points..

"And welcome back everyone. The GMC sports podcast, we just finished talking about that sheen high football match between the colonel's in Broncos in the rant of the day by Mark Sousa. And we also talked about the annals McCoy. We also talked about the between the brewers dodgers happening tonight as well as Red Sox advancing to the World Series after their game, five victory over the Houston Astros. Now we're moving onto basketball as the Brown James, his first Raillard season game as lake, your, they face the Portland trailblazers, any losing effort. One twenty eight one nineteen and LeBron yes, he did have twenty six points, but the rest, but facing a pretty good team in the Portland trailblazers that wasn't enough. No, it wasn't. And I think that if you were skeptical about the Lakers coming into the season with the roster that they have a symbol d- what the new faces. I think if you're a skeptical before, I think this game would definitely definitely not quell those thoughts because. They did not shoot the three ball. People will say, well, they're trying to different style to overtake the warriors and the best teams in the league. They're going against the grain a little bit. They don't really care to play. With a lot of three pointers and things like that. But the fact of the matter is is that you can't get out rebounded and you can't get. You can't lose that badly in the three point battle and think that you're gonna win on most nights. It's just, I don't think it's it's feasible. So if you're worried about the Lakers and how they would do against the top Western Conference teams last night would make you just as worried heading on moving forward. The Brown led his team in points and rebounds twenty six points twelve rebounds. He only lead them an assistant Rajon Rondo is on the team and he had eleven assists and looking at all all the players it kind of was I, it's, I would say it's frustrating for LeBron when he is quite possibly their only weapon they have, they can utilize very well. Let's just say that last night for Lakers fans. I would hope that it was a weird game. And that's not indicative to how the seasons go. And I don't just mean the box score, but like if we're John Rondos gonna play thirty two minutes and ones, oh balls when they get nineteen minutes. I think that's a problem. In my opinion, I don't think Rondos terrible basketball player. And he puts a plink he put, he puts up a lot of empty numbers like he, he's a guy who his his stats get padded a lot, especially as rebounding numbers. But this is still and he well, sometimes sometimes. But regardless, he's not agree. NBA point guard. He's a decent NBA point guard, but ones, oh ball. They picked him at the number two, pick whatever you feel about him. He had a decent rookie season and I don't think that this is a good idea moving forward to have him playing well behind John Rhonda and you can't play them both at the same time because they both are too similar that can't shoot from the outside. They're both playmakers. They need the ball in their hands so they can set up teammates. But it's hard to have two point guards out there the same time. If one, if neither of them can shoot the ball, so you're not gonna see them on the court together a lot. You're not gonna see them on the court together with LeBron James a lot. But man, I just feel like ones of ball's gonna play. More, what do you think? I do think so as well. But I think I want to ask you important. Well, I'll continue with the Lonzo ball thing. He was the number two pick. He had a decent rookie season. Do you start? Do you not? Well, you gave nineteen. I don't even care if you start them or not, but like he needs to play, I think, much as much as Rondo at least as much as Rondo maybe maybe have Rondo play the nineteen minutes and have. Yeah. I mean the thirty. There's nothing wrong with being the leader from the second unit. You know, being that six man being the second point guard coming in and really taking control the, I don't know, man if Rhonda's going to be playing thirty two minutes and night, Alonzo ball, get nineteen..

"Talked about is, is Larry jobs done is he's not getting a lot of separation? Well, I'm glad you said that because he's not even leading receiver for the Carlton. It's Christian Kirk. I don't have its yield has broken over forty yards receiving any game this year in Christian Kirk, the leading has only three hundred eleven yards on twenty five receptions one touchdown. That's who should be your leading receiver. And then. He looked at me and you'll Sanders has forty receptions over five, seven, very good season. No Sanders is having it definitely against hundred yards receiving in two touchdowns. That's a pretty good like and speaking of the Broncos we've seen Damaris Thomas actually loose naps. He's actually not the second guy on the receiving corps with the most snaps. It's actually court Sutton, their rookie wide receiver. So divinity wanna give him more time. I think they wanna see what he can really do manuals been the consistent one. He's been there. I think case keenum centers have like this. I think when you see a quarterback go to a team for the first time, you see who's his Goto zander's is him him. That's number one. But then you're looking at points per game. The Broncos have twenty points for game. That's not bad. That's roughly roughly three to two touchdowns in too bad, and it's not good. It's just is what is thirteen point? Seven points now that's bad. That's bad. Yeah, that was he want to look at their points allowed prog- I would actually say both are bad, but one is obviously considerably worse can win with twenty. You can to winter teen. You wanna look at their points allowed per game. Yeah. Go ahead. Who do you think has more points per game? Denver Denver has twenty five point. Seven points allowed per game in the areas wanna colonels twenty three point two points per game. Yeah, because this is not a defensive metric by the Broncos all though they were impressive against the chiefs. Say they're defense held the chiefs mostly mostly in chick or the Rams I should say. But the jets really gashed him like the jets really put it was brutal. The watch it was slot. But looking at this in looking at all these stats here, this game is not good. Awesome seems not good on paper by any racist down. Mark Sousa says that this game will be sneaky. Maybe because their defenses are sewn inept. The only thing that could make this game betters. If the brought to gone was still on Denver. It's fine. I'm going gonna say anything about that anymore. But by the way, did you hear that he's getting started this week? Guess he is. We'll get more on that then in the latest segments because that deserves a whole conversation itself. I, I agree. But looking, do you have a man crush on Aswa? They don't you. They've Brock rustic, I'm like, all right. Let's move on. Let's talk about tonight though. I think it's going to be a sneaky game, honestly, because you got. I get it. These teams aren't good, but this game has a potential to be good because you have the Branca's can't stop the run. The kernels need a Git right game. We're comes to running the football game. David Johnson might have himself dandy, he might have himself means it ninety two carries. You don't have three hundred yards and you should take yoga Johnson one hundred and thirty seven yards, rushing and two touchdowns. So you're saying he's gonna almost hundred and seventy five total yards for David Jones. So you're saying he's gonna basically double his his stats. Yes. Okay. I mean, that's a big possibility. But when my number one running back, his getting ninety, two carries which he should be giving them any carries granted, but he's only getting two hundred ninety seven yards. Is that his phone or is that his offense alliance fault zone, offensive line, one hundred percent. So you don't. You don't give David Johnson any of this blame. I actually think that David Johnson's been not as impressive as saquon Barkley, but there are a lot of runs where he doesn't show up in the box or he'll get like five or six yard run, and then I'll go back to look at the highlights and I'll look at the games and it's like, okay, he got a six yard run, but he broke four tackles like the dude is getting hit behind the line..

Broncos David Johnson Christian Kirk Larry jobs Denver Mark Sousa David Jones Sanders chiefs saquon Barkley jets Sutton Damaris Thomas Rams Branca football six yard two hundred ninety seven yards three hundred eleven yards one hundred percent

"Mallon offi with once again is Mark Sousa, and boy did a lot happened this weekend a lot. I'll lot lot lot. I think first things first we need to talk about you twenty nine hands down. Probably the biggest new story of the of this could be the biggest thing of the year. Swertz wise just the meta mayhem that happened. It's definitely something that's being talked about by pretty much everybody even known fight fans have -solutely. You know, people watch the fight like myself, but yeah, have people that don't even care about the UCLA who are having strong opinions about what took place, Drake got involved. I think that's what gave everyone off like the not even sports fans people in general talking about it because Drake video of going to the nightclub look in the punch somebody in the face. You know, I did not see that. Actually. He was actually charging into a club taking off his jewelry and stuff like that. I saw a lot of videos, but most of the videos that I saw were in the in the Arctic crowd. You record that I would totally. Oh, absolutely. I would want to see people as my view that was insane. Yes. And for those of you who just have a brief idea of what happened? Maybe this, maybe? Yeah, maybe you saw a headline, maybe you. Sun image onto eter or something like that. But based on you could be flying into the air Trump kicking. Somebody I saw picture could be being in a photo next to eagle landing. Yeah, it was pretty good. So you'll see two Twenty-nine. There's some really good fights on the card. Obviously, none bigger than the Khabib McGregor headliner and could be just an awesome performance. He went in. He wasn't Fuster by Connor at all. He controlled the fight. He dominated he got. He got Conor McGregor to tap out in very impressive win. Solidifying his claim on just to the title. Absolutely. He made a great statement for one of the best fighters in the world. As he improves at twenty seven in nothing as a professional anime fighter, which is a statement in itself, Jeff. But what happened after the fight is what everybody's talking about, which is sad and could be was obviously very animated after the fight. He a lot of trash talk at Connor after he's standing over him with the wind, but that's all good and fun. But he jumps out of the octagon. He takes the fight into the crowd. Did we find out what the guy did to trigger him? It was one of the trainers for Connor who he particularly went after you see about fifteen people in a slug match in a slugfest in the crowd in the first row of the t. mobile arena security police, they're breaking up and then one of kebabs members of his of his into the of his team jumps in the optic octagon and cheap. Shots Conor McGregor as he's standing there way from the turmoil that's going on inside and outside the ring. So could be guys that really did the most damage. Absolutely. I think it's a black guy. It's a black eye on the UFC, an organization that always seems to have to fight against people, not not calling it a legitimate organization. What do you? What do you think about that? Legitimate organization? I mean, they make millions and millions a year. What I'm saying is they're always going to be put in the same category as boxing and wrestling. And those sports are not the same, but they're quote unquote, fight, sports, entertainment, fight, sports, whatever you wanna call that. And it was a very wrestling WWE e moment for what is supposed to be a very legitimate. That's that's supposed to happen. Exactly. Yes..
