"Live in an economically driven world that can easily discourage artists from developing and growing their craft. Can you talk about? Can you talk about? What a young ernest has to overcome in order to create a career that is Somewhat sustainable well speaking of someone who is still twentysomething on years in. I think that they have to do the work. I the art I whether they're song writer or a painter. They have to work at it. You have to work at it if you want to build a following build a career in improved because you can't just do the same thing if there was a guy that painted like a red dot on a piece of white canvas and did that over and over again from his entire life he would not be amazing. But if that's one time statement that impresses people then you take that energy or that positive motion in you go forward with it and change and grow so one is always getting more education or more skilled in whatever. It is due to understand your industry which is hard. That's hard understanding whether it's a visual arts. Poetry were music understanding the industry that you are working or working to be in can be really complicated at least in my in my opinion when it comes to the music industry. I have no idea how it works anymore but I really appreciate the people in the industry who do step up and help us and give us airplay and things like that. I love them so I guess the best thing is to make the most of information so that you know what you're working with where you're working within and and just keep getting better and listen to feedback asked for constructive feedback and sometimes it's really hard to take. Negative feedback is constructive can still be negative. You can be like. Oh how could they say that right? But if you don't learn to digest that and then grow from it you stop and then beyond all that don't you have to kind of get Savvy in terms of marketing yourself and what you do. Oh yeah the Internet emotion. Yeah absolutely if you're if you're doing it all by yourself a lot you have to do your own website management and there's usually more than one Your own mark. Sharon sayles your own bookings your own management and and then if you're in the music industry than it's like videos earned their expenses that are accumulated for how long since. I was fifteen royd. So you've gone through a lot of the technical changes to having you. Yes Oh yeah I started. I I recorded by first album or tape yeah She went up seven Skylab studios. Which isn't even there anymore yet. I'm still in contact with the producer. Who did it though? He's awesome Julia and hope I said that rate does that still exist. It does and he actually kept. He kept a few of the masters and he still has the masters to it. I was kind of honored. He said there was something special. But it. But I remember being in that studio. It was the scariest experience of my life. At that point. I grew so much from it and now I love music. I love what I do. Success in the industry and whatever industry you're in is really just a mindset if you're not happy with what you get then work harder or try something different or change up a little bit but if you're happy with what you're receiving and you're happy with the direction that you're going you're going to have to maintain that positively even though there's a lot of negativity and a lot of debt when it comes to not receiving grants or not receiving funding or not having people buy your product. Has NOBODY CARES? Technology you think. Oh Yeah Yeah I do all of my own marketing I do. I mean I'm not very good at the videos but I do. I will get us all the websites I manage. It's a lot it's turned job. Yeah another of your loves is something you call quote piece of the heart and it sounds like something. We'd all love achieve. What does it mean for you to attain peace of the heart heart to explain finding that place where you can just find quiet to know yourself a little bit like really reflect inward and look at who are the life you've lived in the choices you've made with some compassion for yourself where you can go? Yeah you know what like you were growing? Then you might have made some mistakes but you're still good person. You're still doing all these great things. Let it go learning to find that inner peace with who you are in love yourself. I is important in order to be able to truly love and give back to everybody else. I find a lot of my inner peace moments are actually during music therapy sessions. I tell people all the time I get just as much out of it as everybody that I play for does and I mean I find my Solis in music absolutely for me. That's what it means. It means like learning to understand who you are. Because you're always changing and to appreciate who you are flaws and all Before we wrap today so he'll me a little bit more about music. And it's not shaking her convulsing. It's just an incredibly peaceful realignment almost and I find it really personally. Cleansing healing so. I find when I'm really struggling or having difficulty for whatever reason if I listened to the Bulls for I played ables. Claimed ables is much more powerful for me. At least I get up and I feel like I've literally been shaken almost but shaking it a good way. I'll just fell right out your tuning fork to your audience. I strongly recommend to any listener to go to the talk and view that particular presentation. Because I think it really in capsulize what you're about who you are and what you're passionate about. Tara and I learned a lot about how to put together an effective speech that delivers the point. That you want to deliver at the fat gets the important stuff the guts of it and then I got the opportunity to go out and do it and I was nervous. I made one mistake the day of the actual filming in the first five seconds. So it didn't matter you couldn't tell you I think you settle into quite wonderfully was just the only mistake. It was a gift cards to be given to someone who makes less than twenty thousand dollars but I had a number two hundred thousand in my head. I think people were confused. They were like why. Would you give grocery card to someone who makes two hundred thousand rain when you said that? Wow that's probably confuse it. In my head was like psychologist. Keep going keep going live audience. Yeah there's joke there's no stop and restart that yeah but it all works by the end of the day doesn't really matter how much somebody how much money somebody makes anyways if they need something they need something right so that's why it didn't matter and I was like it'll be fine. It's so we're all human. We all make mistakes and say well listen. "We're up gardening, physical and we were just were we were ready to play. Along those lines. I mean he shatters is kind of career high minutes tonight by think I like seven or eight minutes out was he looked like every time he could get a blow to the bench eve. He's taken advantage. Yeah. There was. There was only one time when he looked really, really tired for me, and I and we had a time out and I asked him if he wanted to a quick one, I can't quite remember when it seems like it was midway through. I think the fourth about six or five something to go in the fourth. He said he was good. And then we kinda decided that if Janas came back out on the floor, he'd go eight stay in Vienna state out. He's then he'd take take a little break, but honest came back in. So he said, I'm ready. I'm ready to roll. Pretty tired right now, though. Retire Leonard finishing with fifty two minutes. Pasta Siaka with fifty one. Koumba with Forty-five minutes. Logged in game three of this one of the bucks fall, raptors the one eighteen one twelve victory. The game was here on ESPN radio Mark. Sharon Brown had the call a win. They virtually had to have Hugh Brown and the raptors got it in double overtime. Thanks to a career high fifty two minutes from Colli, Leonard who came up with eight of his thirty six in the second overtime. Well, you just love what he did offensively and defense. He was spectacular. Two guys from Toronto had to step up Siaka and Gasol Siaka twenty five and eleven boards. But how about the soul not only just sixteen points, twelve rebounds, seven assists, five blocked shots, which was critical for them then Powell off the bench. What nineteen but give Milwaukee a lot of credit that opportunity they could have won the game. And I wanna say that their bench was fed test. Brogden and hill came in and gave them forty four between them. Think about that a sec at forty four for three guys less guys. So they're brench outscored Toronto's bench, because we know they only play guys fifty four to twenty seven. So we, we saw great defensive play. And then we saw something that we have not seen all year in big games. And that was the trapping that Toronto put out on display which we have an I've had them in the playoffs, and you have had them we've never seen that. The trapping was outstanding on the wings. And then the rotations if you pass the ball as you rounded, the warn, it was terrific and you just like it the fact that they answered the pressure, and then for Leonard to carry them in the last minute or so it was only right that he should do it. They had a great game plan on Janas. Peta Kubo finished off with twelve points, he did have twenty three rebounds and seven assists. But it will never know it was crucial. When he went out early in the second overtime, PASCAL? All you had a one on one driving down the lane, bang, bang, six foul. And they didn't have the Greek freak for most of the second OTC, if you're out there, and you're saying, well, so what that Greek didn't have a good night listened, the Greek had four blocks. He had four blocks. And by the way, he only had twenty three rebounds. Okay. That's all he had. And then you throw in the seven assists, so he had a great game but he didn't get the offensive flow. And then you also say that, you know, it was inspirational and I gotta give Siaka melodic credit because he then attacked and you hit it right on the head. He really attacked one strong interim. Well, it's collided with thirty six points, the Aqaba twenty-five, Leonard and Marcus all had thirteen of the raptors fifteen points in double overtime. Now trail. The bucks two games to one in this best to seven series. Raptors take game three one eighteen one twelve over the bucks in two overtimes for hall of Famer Hugh Brown. I marquess year right here on your home for the NBA finals ESPN radio and the ESPN app. Game went to double overtime the first conference finals game to go to double o since game five of the two thousand seven conference finals between the Cavaliers and pistons bugs have a two one series lead game for coming up on Tuesday in Toronto. "Like you say one of those tracks that was a lot of people's first track. Maybe that and see that's the people keep saying oh attraction and brought this up about the minor leagues. You you. It doesn't. It doesn't matter. When people I come to a racetrack. If it's if it's a place like, you know, like a Fairmont or Suffolk or a a Portland meadows. It doesn't matter because when they first sea horses and racing they they they're not going to be able to tell the difference between derby and oaks horse. And and, you know, a just a nice claiming rice, I it. It's it's exciting. You know, when you're introduced to it at whatever level, but if you don't have an entree vehicle, you're. You're hurting your your long term ability to develop players horse players. And that's what that's you know, your your number one. And most important raison veteran that is why to California fares have been a very important cog in the California wheel of of racing here for years and years and years and why it's still we still need them. I couldn't figure out why you know, they always got the winner dates when I was working up in working up in northern California, and we had to stop Golden Gate fields and in late June. So he could go to Pleasanton, Vallejo, and all that go around to these places, and you you see them hooked up to the fair, and, you know, families wander in with their kids, and they and that can guarantee in California. This is that some of the some of the first places anybody saw horse race was at these fairs and such important we keep tracks like that around and and marks here. And I bet he knows may or may not know a little bit about. Metaph it. We were just talking about about racing in the great northwest. And I think that's where you're from Connor you and your family, right? You've raised up there. You get that northeast kinda Dell. We just handed him some contraption. He's got to put on his on his head here. But anyway, Mark Sharon, just tell them we were talking about him. And then we had for some reason we went from from you to racing in the north plain, right and some of the people, but aren't you aren't you Ridgely from Washington? I grew up in Seattle area. And my dad was a trainer long acres and grew up with racing along acres. So I'm very familiar with the northwest. It's may just talked about the Portland meadows story. But the most exciting part of having you here what a even under the circumstances that that transpired you win a great at stake and the restricted stake. It's it's one of the one of the nice days in recent memory. I was very good day. However was very bitter sweet, given given the circumstances and the impact that you know, looking to have on our industry. Maybe we'll get that clear that deck I and the market alone. The the tail end of of the string of of. Of injuries and fatalities. You had charm, John that that went wrong, and what, you know, your thoughts as as you watched you knew and everybody was was doing what you normally do to to try to make sure that the horse you're sending out for anything for morning work or for drill or or for a race. Is you know, is is sound and and is safe to go out there. I mean talk about your your feelings of what has transpired. Well, I think it's just a very unusual set of circumstances. And I don't know that anyone has an answer. I I don't believe that. There's anything wrong with the racing surface there, perhaps due to weather been days where the track was not the best. But you know, I can speak for myself. We care and look after these horses better than probably ourselves and most trainers will probab-. Ably tell you the fame thing, and you know, in in Tommy John's case, he was a very sound young. You know, young starting horse that head only raced once but he had raised on a sealed race track in his only start about that and appeared Finau the race. And you know, that was his first work back and unfortunately, EFF wait injury. And we couldn't save them. But. You know, he..

"Sixty six and from a med standpoint we're talking about jason vargas yesterday and what the best case scenario could be for jason vargas says he made his first started a year against the miami marlins and i believe mike fogelman your expectations for vargas were was it the same as von five innings of to run baseball i even said you might settle for three five and six room baseball yeah totally fine harris was hoping for six innings of two run baseball what you get five innings to run baseball the jason vargas and look every single ending it felt like vargas was in trouble there were ton of ducks on the pond the marlins ended up with sixteen hits in this ball game and yet still found a way to lose but a five ron top half of the first inning basically ended up being the difference for the amazed in zen you had nemo get on base early had mcneil get on base early could no should have grounded into a four six double play if it wasn't for the fact that the marlins and they're ridiculous shifting i mean they have now taking the shifts to another level with the way they had that set up i mean you got a chance to have a four six double play i'm looking at the infield the saying you can't have somebody who could cover second base exactly a proper shift but give them credit they capitalize wilson rama's capitalizes dom smith got to start over pete lonzo A fifth, and then they get to the. Map bullpen and as much as I like Seth logo. Let's be fair. Seth Lugo did not have it set Lugo was all out of sorts in his innings pasta work giving up three runs giving up five hits in the process. Didn't know what if the time no familiar, no Edwin. And then you're gonna Justin Wilson coming in. Bottom. Half of the eighth inning felt like he came in two or three batters too late. Another series win four one on a year with a six two five victory over the Miami Marlins. The storyline for the Mets is simple to scorn runs. The bullpen management leaves a lot to be desired. Somebody has to explain to me. Why Edwin is pitching in a seventy three game the night before and yet in a safe situation in a one run game. He's unavailable. That's not the way it should be drawn at all. That is something that will come back and bite the Mets later on this year. But you'll take the win you'll take any win in which Jason Vargas is getting a victory because you don't expect a whole lot of those. And now you have a chance to sweep the lowly Marlins is Jacob degrom. We'll take them out on Wednesday. So on all good day for the Mets wasn't pretty. Yes. Bit. But a win win. Let's say to New Jersey John Jones is up next. Johnny. Hey, what's going on day? John would shake abrupt. With the Yankees. I'm pulling my hair. Ryan I mean growing up playing baseball play little getting move into the play. First second third base is basic baseball one a one I've got for you. Was close and the second one for you. I I we go number one. They may not okay. You know base almost every day every day. He looks like a guy some back. Am I right or wrong? You're not wrong, and especially left handed pitcher makes a ton of sense topped iota. Okay. That that's the one thing that I'm like. The let the left and the right bad. I want to surpass now. Let's look over there. Let's see who's hot. I i'm. Second. You know, why? John. That's where I disagree. No. No, no, no, no. You wanna have in this day and age you best hitter hitting in the two spot. That's what the angels do. What my trout. It's what a lot of teams in baseball going to do you want Aaron judge in that to spot? We can agree on DJ. Lemay you leaving office team. We cannot agree on hit and Brett Gardner second. I can't do that. But anyway continue. Okay. Well, the recent gory and they must second line. Don't go to somewhere else where you put 'em guarded because gotta speak. How about we? We. His. The problem with that John I got Aaron judge hitting me. I want guys on base and the story. I don't want guys given up pounds when you could potentially get on base. Aaron judge VN Aaron judge is fine. Where he isn't that to all. Forget about order. Forget about semantics for a minute. The more important aspect for her company, and what they really need to understand over the next few weeks. They gotta make sure more often than not the best lineup day in and day out is gonna be out there. And I get it. You've got to kind of handle to whiskey a certain way because the guy employ last year. He's had a ton of injury Stratus career tool whiskies dot playing sixty seven days a week. She's not happening is going to pay four days a week. And you'll take that going to have to live with a Tyler Wade or whoever getting some burn at least for the time being. Gary sanchez. I want him in the line of five days a week. And I'm even going to consider the of one of those days. I want to play. Top prospect. He's up here. Let's see what he can do. And I think it makes sense to leadoff DJ. Lemay you when you're in a lefty because then you could have Bret gone down in that nine hole basically being second leadoff hitter. Let's say to Farmingdale Lenny is up next on a foul is up Lennie Hagedon. I JJ. I have a couple of issues with the Yankees this anybody out dead. No. That the Yankees have won anything in ten years. Does anybody noted that since the new Yankee Stadium has been built that I didn't know say jinx? But like people are getting hurt plays a Catholic getting hurt. And it started with mock to share up his last year with the Yankees. He's the first guy that went down. He got hurt that all sin. It's like a roller coaster ride every year. every year in excuse with the yankees they're not a world championship tune to differ there i do right now the yankees are dealing with a ton of injuries steph five games into the year you telling me team that hadn't over on the number at ninety six and a half wins now five games into the year your opinion is this team's done any good this team has done a world championship team and one point on the stadium by the way and i'm not a big fan in this stadium i miss the old place i love the old place i grew up at the old place that said i got a poke a hole in your theory because the first year they open the new yankee stadium they won the world series that's fact opinion that's a fact so no i do not believe the yankees down the new yankee stadium a quote unquote stink why mark sharon derek jeter and d- made two thousand twelve thirteen fourteen yankees have injury problems because there were no baseball team that's why this current yankee team is not old dave had freakish injuries guess what the freakish injuries all the baseball trae turner trying to just broke his finger murphy broke his finger problem with the national park and colorado have you watched them nets civilized tylenol decade plus there's an old adage i can't say it on the air because i'll get in trouble by chapin's you guys figure it out does it take a rocket scientist to figure it out you gotta rise above that the yankees of their first five games what lackluster mouthing anybody would argue that but it's five games in one hundred sixty two game season there is an attorney left in this year and oh by the way the won the world series last year that's any division you've got to be the one five to say they want five let's say the fort lee new jersey i could powell leslie joins us oh john did i enjoyed last night team to break the yankees i knew the tiger distinct this year but you know what it never gets old beat you had a moment listen lastly that's what you look for when you're dealing with a lousy team that's what you look for when you know you don't have a whole lot expectation going into the air you wanna moment and now we'll see if they can provide you with another moment here on wednesday so much right the he was over to help peterson was he got the game double i mean he's opposite fringe minor leaguer new future with the tigers i mean the one guy i'm going to be interesting to watch today's matt boyd i'm expecting a big season out i'm taking fifteen minutes a love potential donnybrook last year even better yeah you looking for players like that leslie if detroit that's what you're looking for you walk in for guys digging and be a part of your foundation and the property tigers is during this weird predicament because they were pretty good for a long period of time they went all in on a variety of different occasions with the role donor mike illitch before he passed away and they signed some really bad contracts as dominant as miguel cabrera once was and he's a future hall of fame player miguel cabrera right now is a shell vote he once was you're paying cost thirty million dollars a year you gotta hope jordan zimmerman continues to pitch well why because if joins zimmerman pitches leslie with the dire need of starting pitching maybe you can get yourself out of that contract and get something in return i mean these things you want to do now if you the tigers moved forward you know you're not that good you know you still have a lot of work to do in the minor leagues develop players contracts out of there and no it's gonna take some time we'll see we'll tell the hopefully tigers win the series this afternoon but i to write down really pumped up this weekend i mean she can stay i tell you what no one thought this team was going to be good when they beat minnesota bundy spanked minnesota with their big men particularly aaron henry xavier tillman shined i said to myself maybe just could work and can duke and the dad there for big men coming through against duke henry tillman luke ward i mean they were fantastic i thought that was the reason why the pigment and i camp when did destroyed l._s._u. to myself he got a chance well they're playing great basketball leslie and they wanna game against duke not playing their best game they shoot the ball pretty well their physical team they have size and they have the sort of point guard that you love because he's capable of taking a game over and caches winston winston can take games over now they're going to be frustrated by the defensive texas tech that's going to be a good old fashioned rock them sock them type game the question is going to be can michigan state solve the riddle of a dominant texas tech defense that has been befuddling for a bunch of different teams michigan had trouble gonzaga certainly had trouble so can michigan state get enough fence and shoot the ball well enough to win this game i think that's what they're going to need to connect shoot it john i feel they can't remember the reason what.

"On any machine is important point. You'd never need a serial number again, they just assume. All right. You gonna and honestly, I would I'll tell you. Why? I would do this first of all eight and eight point one were among the most reviled versions of windows, ever, right up there with windows and windows vista. Now. You've been using it for four years, you're happy with it. Yeah. I mean, I just think it'd be safer a windows ten it would be it would be so. They essentially what they did. At the mistake. They made with windows. Eight eight one was they got all hot and bothered about the ipad and said, look, Microsoft said let's make this a tablet operating system. Even if it's not a tablet now is your della standard laptop, or is it a convertible two and something that no, no, I it's a huge desktop. Yeah. So there's there's no reason at all to have a tablet mode on that. Because you're never going to use. It you probably don't even have a touch screen. So they forced us down. Everybody's throat regardless of need. And there were a lot of weird tablet focused things. Like, if you move your mouse, the lower right corner that notifications thing slides out and know weird things they'd have a full screen menu, which nobody wants e even on a tablet number. So you are smart. You went to start doc dot com, and you got classic which makes it, you know, basically more basically you did with Microsoft ended up doing in windows ten which was hiding away. There's still all those tablet features are they're still, but they hit it away. The biggest difference in windows, seven and ten is the start menu has that tablet. Be look on windows ten instead of just a list and classic by way. Classic start menu. Is a great way to make it the old way. Anyway, not still work someone to stand. So you already own that. So I would try here's what I would try to do. If you go if you Google, Microsoft media windows, ten media creation tool you go to a site. It says. Download and install windows. Ten you make a USB key with windows ten installer on it. This is a good thing. Everybody should do this anyway because it's good to have. And it will ask you for serial number. I would try putting in your windows eight one serial number. I have been told by number of people, then you will be able to authenticate windows, ten at no cost doing that. That was the old thing. But apparently, Microsoft forgot to turn it off or I don't know it. And if it doesn't work for you. I can't remember what they charge it's less than a hundred bucks. And it I think it's worthwhile. And here's the other reason you want, you know, windows seven is is in January going out of life cycle. Eight eight one will be a year or two after that. Microsoft says windows, ten is the last version of windows. Okay. They're never going to do this again. They're never going to say, oh, you don't have. You know, everybody will have windows ten and that'll be that you won't buy windows anymore. So you might as well get that machine to windows ten because then then you're done you'll get you'll get automatic updates forever. But but what about windows eleven eleven? It's got to be fair is not going to be a windows eleven Microsoft's swears this. I know one better, they swear. And I, you know, I'm starting to think it's true. Because this is Microsoft has done an amazing. It's a whole new company the old Microsoft made all of its money on windows and office, the new Microsoft doesn't even care anymore. They make their planning, and I think so far this conversi- working on making all their money on the cloud, and ultimately they want they say Saudi Adela their new CEO new. He's been there. Five years has said repeated times we want to be wherever our users. Are we aren't we're we're, you know, they put Lennox on windows ten they're doing all sorts of crazy things in the old Microsoft never would have done. So I believe them. I think it's credible that they're not going to try to make money on windows going forward. So got to windows ten you won't have to go through this Wednesay end of life. All I got upgrade you won't have to ever do that again. Okay. If you can put a link to does creation, tools, I know some third party Google and you'll see it'll be at Microsoft dot com slash. Weekend. Yeah. You to let me know. If you could install it without having to pay for it. I think you should. And we'll put a Lincoln the show nuts. There's a great article on how to geek that will put up. Thank you. Mark. Sharon, we're gonna put that up in the show all the ways, you can still get windows ten for free Microsoft was years ago. Microsoft went ten I came out said if you're using seven or eight one you you'll be able to upgrade for free. But that only went on for about a year. And then they said, okay, that's it except that they didn't. And they're all these other ways that you can do it. For instance, if you if you. Are disabled in any way using accessibility tools of anyway, they said upgrade you're gonna upgrade for free. There's lots of ways to do it. So once once you get to windows ten you know, what will happen and some people don't like this. This is the negative. I might as well tell you the negative as well as a positive you're going to have to take updates from now on you'll be able to defer them, but not forever. Maybe a month. It's unclear what Microsoft's long-term plan is. Businesses can defer forever for a long time. But the home users won't be able to defer right now, you can't defer it all they I think they're going to start giving you chance to defer for some weeks, maybe a month. But ultimately, you're going to have to take the updates. And that includes these big spring and fall updates that in the past have caused problems. So we'll defer by all means. But at some point you're going to have to install it. This is in lieu of new versions of windows. It just like the newest one eighteen o nine. There'll be a nineteen o or is the news ninety three. No, it's not out yet. It will be ninety three or what they're calling it. Right now is nineteen H one first half of twenty nineteen. But that's getting that's real close to being finished. That It probably starting next month's. Maybe they'll start pushing that out and we'll hear howls of pain. Because it'll break stuff. As much as Microsoft test. This stuff not everything is perfect. And so two for it for a little bit. But take it when you can do not what you should not do by the way new tip. I never would have said before do not seek updates. I used to. And I think a lot of us would just, you know, hit windows key. I click the update button. And the and say, what do you got for me? What do you got for me? They Microsoft now calls that being a seeker. And they won't push eighteen o nine out.

"In sports. I'm Tim Montemayor along the Packer hall of Famer and Super Bowl champion, Mark tau. Sure. And boy, tau sure I gotta tell you between the NBA all star Saturday night. Tennessee loses. Number one, Tennessee goes down to Kentucky. Number two, Duke knocks off NC state. So it looks like Duke is gonna find themselves back on top of the national rankings this week. This has just been a chaotic Saturday, and oh, by the way, you're going to hear from Mark gear ago. See attorney for Colin Kaepernick who did a major interview today that's coming up in about twelve minutes. So don't go anywhere, Mark. What's the biggest story of the day in your mind? Well, Tim, I I'll tell you what I think you mentioned it at all star weekend. I think the Saturday night for a lot of us. It's kind of the most entertaining. I personally the three point shootout with the way the NBA is going what a great EMMY twenty th I think twenty three or twenty four points didn't even get you into the final three. So that was exciting at you mentioned Tennessee getting beat I love the fact Antonio Brown went on Twitter started answering questions af it used to be. This is kind of the slower time of year new. There is so much stuff to talk about. But I think the NBA all star weekend is always whatever that comes. I do think it's the best of all of the professional sports all star weekend. I think they do the best job bringing back older players, and keeping it, you know, the young game was last night. You have the dunk contest everything else. And then it all kind of finishes off tomorrow night with a game that somebody will price score two hundred points it. Yeah. I would love to see two hundred points, frankly, because I actually think the NBA all star game is really enjoyable of the major league baseball all those ones, and maybe that's different show, but I like the game itself, but let's get you into who walked away with trophies tonight. Jason tatum. I think the skills competition and his win. And if you didn't see it. Jason Tatum of the Celtics hits a half court shot. Traveled faster. Mark, Sharon, maybe there is science. And I know that you are a actively intelligent scientists yet. But maybe there's trajectory in angles in degrees. Got that half court shot there before trae young who is standing at the three point arc could and Jason Tatum with the half court heave wins the skills competition. Joe Harris who came out flaming had a twenty five twenty six beat Steph curry in the three point contest, Joe Harris place for real quick come on the Brooklyn nets. Joe Harris, say New Jersey Nets. Yeah. I think that's that's that. Somebody was joking that he was a teacher in somewhere in Kansas. Oh was that a joke? I actually thought it was real based on how he looks. You mentioned the Jason Tatum thing what was fun about that. You know, what that reminded me of you ever played lightning with your buddies? And you're almost trying to jostle the ball out. You just fire it up at the hoop and Tatum knocks it into win which I think I thought there used to be three players. I really liked what they've done and you see that was a good list of players a dunk contest. We were not seeing the stars. And I think that's a reason why it was probably my third favorite of the three events tonight. But I really liked the skills contests. I think it added a little fun. And I think all these kids that are watching it can go out and say, well, you can draw that up through some things fire passer, retire go down to a laugh and make a shot. So I love that. I think they really I think the NBA really gets it right with the night. Like tonight. Could you do it by the way, could you run through the little jerk cones, and can you still dunk a basketball? Oh, I I cannot I couldn't I never could. But I'm surprised. Seven and a half inch vertical? Leap. Yes. An offensive lineman. You're such a superior athlete. I just thought for sure. But anyway, the point is. Nothin'. Anyway. I thought saying, yeah, I think I can hit a three in the NBA. I could not throw the pass through the tire. I think I'd have real trouble. That'd be the hardest part of that. But Jason Tatum Windsor skills competition. Then Joe Harris, I think this is why the NBA is so wildly popular. Because if you didn't see Joe Harrison Steph curry Steph curry had to have a perfect moneyball rack at the end of the final round any missed his last shot, and he had really essentially one bad rack in his final round. And it cost him the win. I thought I mean, Joe Harris said he's going to he's going to give the three point trophy to the university of Charlotte because they allowed him to practice in their Jim. Like, I mean, this was just a feel good night until the dunk contest. So which by the way, okay, sees Diablo one. What is it time to get rid of the dunk contest? It is. I think you know, when the when the Brian and a lot of the stars decided that I think they didn't want to do it. And we heard some players earlier at a press availability kind of talk about how social media and Twitter has amp the game up so much you seize ion. And you see a lot of high school players doing these crazy doubts in the NBA guys are like what am I gonna do differently? And so guys don't wanna go put themselves out there. So I think we have some different ideas. Like we were talking a little bit earlier. Why did it again a horse one eight person bracket and you go play horse. I don't think it will be the problem is TV was could killed along. Maybe have to go to pig or you have to get it down a little bit that could be fun. Well, we start the it's not a game a horse. It's a game Mississippi, then horse then big. I guess I don't I don't know. But I think it'd be fun because you know, what I envision I envision Steph curry standing in the tunnel shooting three like he does every night in pregame warmups for those of you don't know Steph curry stands in the tunnel at oracle arena and shoots a really long three. And the crowd loves remember the old commercial with MJ and Larry Bird, right? Oh, yeah. Donald's people love that spot. That's what I had. Visit guys do a trick shots and everybody using their creativity that could be yeah. That would be a ton of fun. Well, as we talk about NBA all star Saturday night on ESPN radio and the ESPN app whether or not it's time to get rid of the dunk competition. I. I'm a product of Jordan versus Dominique, okay? So I remember Kenny Walker and Spud Webb those are the dunk contest. I remember, and those are no longer the case. And I think you're this. Yeah. The stars not wanting to do it. I don't know how you fix that. Lebron james. I'm not getting in the dunk contest. Right. And I don't think anybody blames what there's not a ton to gain. And I get that. Lebron? I think earlier in his career he probably should have done it decided not to incense, then I think you've seen other stars kind of take the LeBron approach much like they've taken the approach of what we're gonna. We're gonna form super teams or do all this other stuff. You also see that. Now at the league is built on stardom. And when you have guys that most people don't even know that win it, I think that kind of ruins it. And then the fact that there's all these myths doubts, and they are constantly going to different formats the days of Dominique versus MJ at the old bowls arena. Where? Dominique got home or a little bit. That's. I think we need to get back to. Well. I grew up in Chicago, by the way, Dominique still today. One that dunk competition, that's the greatest and windmill dunk I've ever witnessed. But here nor there, you know. I think nobody wants to do the three the slam dunk contest because they're all busy practice in threes to win the dunk contest. You have to practice dunking at that level. I think is a skill. And I don't think it's easy to to. And by the way, it hurts dunking and practicing dunking, Kurt your risks in your hands. And everybody wants sure, oh, I know that I absolutely Kobe. I've actually Kobe and I've actually talked about this. I'm not kidding way. Back in the day. When I I covered Kobe and the Lakers. He and I talked about this. Because it does it hurts your wrist and stuff so here near there. Anyway, I think there's it is time to get rid of the dunk contest. Without question. Your thoughts are welcome on the one eight hundred flowers dot com Twitter feed, you can find me Tim Montemayor the Monte show. M O N T y the Monte show. And of course, he is Packer hall of Famer and soup. Bowl champion, Bartow. Sure. And you could find him at Mark sixty five. The other story today was a massive interview by Mark Garrett goes capper. Knicks lawyer has spoken about the collusion settlement in the NFL who won that did Capra win or did the NFL win. Let's talk about it next on ESPN radio and the ESPN app. The NFL has settled.

"I guess the question that I would ask you guys is what should the cardinals do if they're sitting at the first overall pick and a new coaching staff has come in. And they do believe whether it's twain Haskins or Kyla Murray. Whether if they look at one of those guys and say, this is a transcendent quarterback that a franchise should be built around. And then they look at their own quarterback. Josh Rosen and say, I don't know what the last coaching staff wanted. I don't see it there. Do they then have a responsibility to essentially eliminate any consideration of Josh Rosen? And just do what they think is right for the quarterback specific after remember Steve was there last year pick Josh Rosen. So I mean, he's he's Societa Josh Rosen. He didn't have to take him to Jason's point. He also chose Steve Wolfe. He's got rid of them in here. So here's the thing. And I always say this. It all depends on the grade. What's your grade of Dwayne Haskins? What's your grade of Kyla Murray? And what? Your great of Josh Rosen. And if you think there's noth- of a difference, then you would over to your team just to look into it and say now, not only could we do this where we take a different quarterback. But we trade away our guy and get back draft picks because God knows the cardinals. Eat a lot of help. So get some more draft picks. Some more assets see the using trades of your own or to pick players to help especially on that offensive line. Well, if there's anything we know, for example, in New York Sam darnold is always going to be tied to saquon Barkley for the giants, right? Giants fans are always going to look at whatever productivity. The jets get out of their quarterback and say what might have been the cardinals are in an unenviable position here. We're now from moving forward. Josh Rosen is going to be weighed against whatever the first overall pick becomes if that first overall pick as a quarterback. Yeah. I I don't think it's going to be a quarterback. I I don't see that pick because right now really your I need a quarterback is six at the giants. And while teas may move up for quarterback. I just don't see it at the number one slot. And it depends on quite frankly, if you're Zona what? What you need. We heard when we were talking before. I forget who we had talking about one of the possible landing spots for Antonio Brown. Does Arizona look to bring in a marquee free agent. Someone at the wide receiver spot there to put around him because we know one thing at number one right now the top slated prospect. I believe is Nick both side of Ohio State and defense is certainly an area of need. You've got Chandler Jones still there on the line. But this is also a deep de line draft. So if you're gonna can you at least convince one of these other teams, if you're Aaron in my mind, you're hoping Tyler Murray goes out and blows up the combine is a hitting the rooms perform runs really well looks great out there and gets more people more of those groups thinking, man, maybe Arizona really could take a chance on that. Maybe that's a call that we need to make. And I do think he's gonna look great. The question will be how how is he at at the whiteboard? How is he designing plays? How how is he just when he gets to meet with them? I think one of the more interesting things for those that that weren't around. We had marked Sharon because everybody everybody in the beginning of this is saying oh my God collar play baseball play baseball. That's where more money is marked to share in earlier was like play football, dude. He's like when I went in the first round in two thousand one there were thirty players selected seventeen never made it to the majors never made it to the majors and out of those thirty only three were all stars Jomar the first pick Mark Price the second pick and to share the fifth pick. He said, and by the way, the money is going right now in baseball as a quarterback a really good quarterback. You may end up with as much guaranteed money as some of the money. These these good baseball players are making as well. So he thought it was a right move. And the fact that even if you make it to baseball, you're probably going to be two three four years in the minors before you even get to the major you mentioned to share. This is what he said, I think it's a great idea for for Kyla Mirny great decision. And this is the thing, you know, people just assume that oh your first round. Draft pick in baseball. You're gonna make it and you're gonna make tens of millions of dollars. Most first rounders don't even make the big leagues. I looked back at my two thousand one draft. Joe Mauer was the first pick in that draft had a great career only three first rounders my year actually made an all star team. And I think seven dollars him you Mark Pryor for the cubs. So prior was that was it and take it one step further. It was seventeen didn't even make the big leagues. Right. So you take collar merge hasn't played a lot of baseball. I mean, he's been been focused mostly on football in his career. And you just throw them into the minor leagues. You never know if he's going to make it. So I think collar made the right decision here. And the job is going gonna continue building all the way up to the draft in Nashville. I mean, that's what we know. At this point coming up a story a story, so bizarre. You couldn't even make it up in Hollywood. We'll.

And how does any reasonable person argue with that more text flowing in five seven seven three nine sturdy D A N, Dan, did you notice that none of the joint chiefs stood or clapped except for when Trump recognized to Childers special guest? I wonder what's up with that? Rick rick. I think that's standard protocol. And someone will correct me if I'm wrong and I liked that protocol whether it's a democrat or Republican state of the union. I don't think the chiefs should be involved in the political piece of it. And I would bet Rick though, we didn't see the camera on him often. The same was true for the supreme court justices. I don't think they should be standing for anything other than the guests. Boy, Neil Gorsuch was looking good wasn't. He he was looking like Hollywood, handsome, boy, so impressive so impressive. And and it was great to see Brett Kavanagh Justice cabinet. I said should say, Justice course itch. He looked like a new, man. I mean think about what he was under the last time we saw him in public all of those. Unsupported allegations going right to the core of his being and he just looked forty years younger last night. Great to see and all of a sudden, Dan, all the Democrats on Capitol Hill. They wanna wait for all the facts and evidence to come out on Justin Fairfax Virginia, and I do too because and Ryan obviously referring to the Lieutenant governor of Virginia this sex assault allegation against him. And I don't know whether he's innocent or guilty. But I think he should be presumed innocent. I think it is outrageous that the Washington Post ran the details of the allegation, which are brutal forcing a woman physically overpowering a woman and forcing her to commit a sex act on you. Brutal allegations should never ever be published unless and until in my opinion, unless it's a juvenile accuser unless and until the accuser is willing to come forward, or there has been some significant independent corroboration, none of which existed here. And I am not saying that the woman is lying. I'm just talking about fundamental fairness in America. So I think what the Washington posted to this. Lieutenant governor democrat Lieutenant governor of Virginia happens to be African American is awful. And I understand that he messed up, and he claimed falsely that the post had not printed the story because it found inconsistencies in her story. He shouldn't have said that that's false. But I don't think that justifies the post doing what he did. And by the way of referring to Ryan's point attorney general Mark Sharon democrat of Virginia acknowledged Wednesday that he put on black face were a wig while an undergrad at the university of Virginia in nineteen eighty impersonating. Anybody who cares about African Americans in this nation, which is the vast majority of us nobody could blame anybody for being deeply offended by that. But at the same time the idea that that he would now have to resign over that to me would be wrong. I think it should trigger a close look at his life and his body of work and has he behaved in life as a racist. I think that's probably highly unlikely has he behaved in life as a person who respects people, you know, regardless of skin color. "Sports thing is. New York Knicks and for why their relationship. South. So. Knicks basically telling you poisoning didn't want to be here. The Knicks telling you it was time for change. That's all well and good. Poising tells you the truth will come out says so on his Instagram Porzingis. Also sends a post after a bunch of Mavericks pictures with Novitsky and what Luke in the future, and this and that. The city deserves better than that. My suggestion for Knicks fans is to stay woke. Piece. Poising is the fact that the Knicks and the franchise analogize through the mud like that. At all. His camp doesn't like it. He look he would no angel. He was no Saint I'm sure he was pain neck with a variety of different things. But they got rid of them thirty five cents on a dollar. He knows it. We know it the whole Ige knows it. As most NBA executives have told you after the trade. Go read quotes gory what they're saying. You don't make this unless you think big time free agents coming here. And that's what this entire move will boil down to. So spare me Dennis Smith junior? Spare me the first round picks couple years down the road. Now, it's the guys in all starts guys. Twenty three years old. You don't just put him in a deal. That's basically a salary dump as you tell me. Big players are common. The only way this will make sense to me. Some will say, oh, well, what if the big players come? You're going to be singing a different tune. Yes. Yes. I'll be singing different tune. Obviously, I'll be singing a different tune that goes without saying. If they don't it's to be. It's going to be another head scratcher. It's going to be another one of those. What the blank moments if you're a knick fan? Specially if porzingas dodge. Attaran it up that will become very very difficult to digest just being New Jersey. Fill is up next on a foul up doing JJ. Listen JJ. I gotta tell you. I liked the way. I really do. I think that could make boys genius. The actual like franchise. I play. Based on now on his medical history. No, you know, I I don't like I thought that what he weighed Eddie played at a high level. He was definitely an all star break down. There were so many times. Seen in a way that he just didn't looked like he wanted to play. And I I find that. I find that you know, he had wait talent level didn't exceed his level. Now, if you work at it from the real pitch. Okay. Even if they don't get it, the ran or they don't get a, okay, let's say they get a walk or they get a plate option. You get the first route. You know, you get trapped you can build around guys like that. Because she'll be better than what you want. Now. Listen, if it's Klay Thompson and Kemba Walker. That solid. I love Klay Thompson. I'm curious to see if Klay Thompson is going to be number one guy. I can't see quite Thompson leaving the Golden State machine to come play here. Honestly, Phil, do you think Klay Thompson is gonna leave Golden State to conduct New York Knicks? Why the hell would he do that might be a money factor? Jake. He he's in Golden State if they're not bring it back. Kevin durant? And Mark my words, they are far more likely to bring back quite Thompson are Kevin Durant. It will be about. Kevin durant? The warriors are going to want to keep the splash brothers together. Remember, seventy three games without Kevin Durant. Was curry was Thompson. It was green. If leaving anywhere for free agency is going to Lakers dad is a broadcaster. He could play alongside LeBron James Klay Thompson coming to the Knicks. And I'm sorry. You can't sell me a Campbell Walker replacing Kristaps Porzingis and all of a sudden say, okay, I like Kevin Walker. Nice player top player. Good player. If the Knicks end up making this deal, which they did. And the end result is Campbell Walker. I'm sorry. That's unacceptable. Kemba Walker issue. Number two. Kevin Durant coming here. It's different story. This deal is about the rant Irving top players in a week. Not solid players. No, no. No. No, no. It's about top players. They don't end up with top players in free agency. This will blow up in their face and the story. Connecticut, rob is up next on a foul Robbie. Decently decently, decently big day for you. Right. Decently. Just a little just as Smith. I made a good stay right now. I wanna serene Lou. All week. And I finally got myself calm down. I'm ready for some football talk about Robin. I hope we can be the first pre-game show that you partaken draft. This busy debt, you're going to have my friend. Yeah. I just my talk. Real quick. Dan. I great class. I mean, well, very worthy. I have to say, I I guess to say to properly disappointed that I didn't make it. And the reason being is that they put three DVD's which gets. It gets on a wide receiver in this year. Either. You know, reader Bailey are. La wondering, I'm gonna wait until next year. I know the way they do this, rob they like to have the I mean, it's odd. I don't understand the pattern. I can't understand the rationale. It's like they have certain themes when they go into the hall of fame, and I agree with you. So time Isaac Bruce is going in. I was a little surprised heating get in this year. But I mean if you. When he retired. He was the second leading receiver in yards behind Jerry Rice. He's now set but still I mean, this guy is like a top ten all time receiver. No question. Rob listen, he should be in the hall of fame. I can't fight you on that bought a may. Okay, with them going like, you said read. No, Brandon should go on right away Bailey right away laws. Three d visa the same year. I guess that was their team this year. Rob again, I I'm not there. So I can't tell you what they're thinking. I don't know if they wanna have positional diversity throughout when I mean, I'm looking at the three DB's that go in and I'm going to exclude the seniors finalist. I'm talking about read Bailey, and all and I think all three of very very deserving right now Bobby next year. Just just the game real quick. I think out everybody's overlooking. Michael Brecker, there's I think he's gonna have to play usual because obviously Valtrex gonna try to shut down so Donald. So I think Michael Brock is the number one pick, and he's a great defensive tackle. Step it up, and that's the interior pass rush. We're talking about Robin Fowler guy. Now, he's coming from the outside. But you remember he made the trade to go get Fowler. Yeah. But the idea is in a game. Like this have make a big play do what Brandon Graham was able to do for the eagles. Justin talk was able to do for the New York. Giants is the recipe my friend for beating Tom Brady and any other key is who's gonna cover gronk that's gonna fall on John Johnson. That's not quite Littleton. Mark. Sharon and Raleigh children. So. That's going to be a key. And as far as very matching wits with politics. Offensive. I think he'd get. And I think as far as Wade matching Wedgewood, Josh mcdaniels. I think he can handle it. And I'm taking ramps thirty eight twenty four and I think this is going to be beat down patriots. Taking a Super Bowl. And it's redemption time. Here we go baby Ravi feeling confident Robbie win lose the drama friend. And I know they can't be just like to try that expression in there for you know, what and giggles expect to hear from you Monday morning. When was okay, my friend. Yeah. All right. Thanks, rob. A great night collective Powell Ravi is our resident read fan, you know. This is going to be a very emotional day for him. I can't imagine what my emotions would be like leading up to the Super Bowl wouldn't be able to sleep. I wouldn't be able to think about anything else. I would be a crazy person. Robbie confident thirty eight twenty four Rams if you haven't heard my Super Bowl prediction already going to have to wait till five forty and again, we'll have eagle eye picks. Bill Bolling joining us in about twenty five minutes or so run through all the prompt pets the game. All that good stuff. Let's head to flushing. Bruce joins us. Bruce, Jonathan I wanna talk about KP, but my SuperBowl. Pick twenty seven twenty four. Rams. Lot of right now for the Rams, Bruce. I feel like most people I've talked to today like the Rams throughout the week. It was New England very tough Dan to predict. So you're rolling with the Rams, okay? Continue. Let's talk about let me give me some observations. Number one. It's obvious. This deal. KP said, okay. I won't be this deal is. For weeks. I totally agree. Not thursday. This deal's been in the works for weeks. They've been talking Dallas for quite some time. Absolutely, positively spot on my friend. Totally agree. The to. They make. Deal where Al something signed in blood. That Durant is coming to the Knicks. Even if they get the rent, this is a stupid deal because you only make this to you. Is that somebody has told you cancer is coming to the next and maybe would like somebody else to come with him. So do what you have to do. That's the only way to steal makes sense. This guy to me, and I've been watching basketball. Sixteen. Unlimited sixty five sixty six sixty seven sixty two years old. This guy is as talented as capable, and that's how I think that's a bit of a reach Broussais grease talented going back to world and compare them. The Wiltz talent, I think is unfair. I mean, you're talking about one of the greatest players of all time. I don't look at the skill set for porzingas say, wow, that's equivalent to one of the greatest players of all time. I don. This kid can shoot blackouts rebound can run the form. Do all those things. I agree. And he's done this over at a point card. So. Oh, okay. So. But you don't give him up on the basis, except you know, somebody's coming now. Very interesting. Howard Beck of the Bleacher report. Yes. He's sick. That a lot of teams were caught unaware by posing as being available. So are you trying to tell me? True. That the Knicks made a deal where telling her rested elite. He's available. If that. Right now, Bruce what if the Knicks did not do their due diligence on seeing what the market would bring you in return for Kristaps Porzingis? You absolutely, positively spot on my friend your thousand percent on the money that is organizational malpractice, and look you guys could try to justify this trade. All you'd like, I know a lot of people Markle, I'm honestly a little bit surprised with the overall optimism that have gotten from some they fence about this deal. I think it's more due to the fact that the Knicks fan is getting sucked into the idea that the two big free agents. Com. A common here. Okay. Right. Then we're singing a different tune. But it's a monumental mistake. And you and I are basically looking at look at the history. Why exactly do we trust? The Knicks to go land the free agent. When was the last time, they did it really? Let's welcome back. Look back at the history of the day's what was the last free agent that shows New York, you wanna tell me Mari Steinmeyer. He chose New York because he had to. That was going to give them the money. And he was the Knicks like fourth choice. The next didn't want them either. They just said we got to get the money to somebody who else has come here. We in our minds because we're from New York and the idea of the Knicks getting back to that stage. We keep saying what there's no better place than to come to New York and win here. And every basketball player has told you for the last thirty years with their actions. It's true. They don't wanna come here. The combination of Dolan, and the combination of the fact that there is no way that you can win here unless you win a title, and nobody can convince me otherwise Durant shows up in New York, he's wearing Nick colors. He's playing in the garden. His legacy will now rest on the fact that did he bring a title to the Knicks if not he's a bum, and that's four grand for all great player had to go to Golden State to carry on to win three rings when he did it on his own New York couldn't deliver. That's what it is. And he'll remember that not only do the NBA. But especially New York, it's never revisionist history. Patrick ewing. Couldn't get five minutes without somebody yelling at him. He couldn't win a ring now walkway Ewing. And those Nick teams now or appreciate it. Revisionist history was run out of town teams. I remember when he was run out of town fans. Couldn't wait. They couldn't they were dying to give they want to ship them at two years before that they were dying to get where they blamed him for everything ninety nine. Look we could get to the finals in spite of Ewing. Now, all of a sudden all Patrick, and he was our guy garbage garbage. When he's when it's happening at the time, Nick dance, don't think of anything, but the title, and if you can't win the title, you're not worth anything. You're telling me a free agent is gonna walk into that. And you gotta deal with the fact of the way dole and runs that organization, and you know, when you're out of town, go west porzingas now, and he's he's showing you on Instagram. They run you through the mud. Everything is porzingas is fall..

"Let me give you that will split it up. We'll get into these phones with you on are you separating Brady from some Patriotaid Jared and just in terms of the game. What scares me from the New England perspective is a couple of things number one those two interior defensive tackles if sue and Donald are on their game. They can wreck and dominate and it will be interesting because there isn't just one patriots offensive linemen that will be charged with dealing with them. There's going to be a couple and they're going to throw fullbacks in there. And they're going to throw tight ends in there. So get ready for that extra help and the tackles Trent Brown and Marcus cannon have to play big. So from the New England perspective those two big boys in the middle. I'll be interested to see how they deal with gronk is that a Mark Barron situation. What do they do? They hit him on the line of scrimmage because if you line someone up over him, and they run the ball mean one of the bigger things that's not been played up enough about grunk is that if you don't have a plan for him. He could still beat you as we've seen the last couple of weeks. But also if you line someone close enough and Brady checks to a run your guy is not standing up to rob gronkowski in the run game. Because that guy did just kills foles. So you know in terms of the Brady run check. It's like having a big on a small meaning a big body like gronk on a small one from someone's defense or you get his mitts on a guy like Mark. Sharon and hold them up a little bit. He's not as effective in the run game. Anyway. Yeah. I do worry about the quick strike ability of the Rams and those running backs. I'm not saying girl he's playing possum now. But I think Todd Gurley is going to be shot out of a cannon in the first quarter of this game. And we'll see if he has the ability to make it all the way through from the Rams perspective. Here's what I'd be worried about that. The patriots are going to be magicians on defense. And what I mean by that is hocus pocus, we're gonna lineup in one thing. We're going to roll to another. We're going to give you fake looks. We're gonna stunt. We're gonna stem. We're gonna move on defense. And we're gonna make Jared Goff think this is another thing. And I've said it. And I'm not saying it's a badge of honor and everything, but no one on CBS sports radio knows this team as well as I do know one. And the one thing that people are missing nationally. Is most if not all of these guys minus JC Jackson because the other dudes that were mixed Jason mccourty. Our more veteran players they meaning the patriots have guys who have played in this scheme for about three years now, and it was Brian floor is is the D coordinator who made the decision to be more aggressive. He can't do that. If you don't trust the players within the defense to react. It's going to be a team effort for the patriots. There are no real. Yes. The gilmore's premium good player. He stands out, Trey flowers may stand out, but they beat you with team defense, and they're great at it. And they've got experience and that makes them very dangerous to Jared Goff and offensively. The Rams are doing a good job at talking about how they got to stop the run. And that's number one. And that's great. But if you don't think if Tom Brady's got spread it out and throw it fifty times if you think he doesn't have it in him. You've got another thing coming. It's just you just be another doubting Thomas out there who would probably get proven wrong or be on the few times. You're right. You could stand up and crow and tell everybody how smart Yar, but the odds are in the favor that if it turns into Tom Brady needing to throw it fifty times that there'll be some ugly throws in there. But, you know, come crunch time. If it's close don't give him the ball. And that's another factor in this game to how will the time of possession battle go with who has the lead. You know, if the patriots have say a ten point lead in the fourth quarter. Do they slow it down and can execute their run game. And for the Rams, you know, it's either can they play ketchup. Can they race out to the big league? Can they hold it? I mean, we have general ideas to how the patriots will respond to most situations offensively. How will the Rams to the Rams have a ten point lead fourteen minutes to go fourth quarter? Can they run the ball and move at the way they need to to not give it back to the patriots? Or at least put more points on the board and make it tougher on them. So there you go in synopsis, can you separate your patriots hate? And appreciate the star of the Tom Brady is and what he's about to do. And I gave you my thoughts on the game. I think the patriots win thirty four twenty four grab a line. Eight five five two one two four CBS. That's eight five five two one two four. Two two seven the real gresh G R E S H on Twitter role. Baby. Let's go America. It's the gresh show on CBS sports radio and the radio dot com app..

"The hope is he's gonna be ready to go and he's gonna be Todd Gurley. Now part of it is dictated by the fact that I mean, if if the patriots defense sets edges the way New Orleans did Todd Gurley is really a guy who likes to get out around the edge. He's not an up up the middle guy. And now that you've got a guy like C J Anderson who's a bowling ball who rolls right up the middle. A lot of those touches are not taken by Anderson. I think this is where the Rams diversity comes in on offense comes in handy because the book on Bill Belichick is he. Always takes away one thing like your go-to thing. Yes. If like, but what is that for the Rams? Well, like if Bill tried to take one thing away. What would he pick? Well on the Dallas game. They were in the hell on the ball right in the New Orleans game. They through the hell out of the break. I don't think the Rams have a they don't have a guy like gronk, for example. Right. That you could say all right. We're not gonna let like the saints. The the Rams defense clearly said, all right? We are not letting Michael Thomas beats. Yes, we're taking him off the borough the house out of if you were going to take someone off if you take Brandin cooks the board, then Robert woods and Josh Reynolds have a big. Yes, if you take Tyler higby off the board Gerald Evert as if you take girly off the board. Janitors and vice versa. You could target Goff and come after him. But if Gough if you come You're on on the the ball. time you run it. Yeah. That's one thing. The Rams at the best offense in the league for the first eight weeks balance. And now, I think that comes in hand. Yeah. They got a lot of balance or not and easy thing to say the saints. You could say Michael Thomas is is killing up now with the Rams there. They have no girly used to be like the thing. You would try and take away they won without girls. They won without him. And they won without him. Getting a lot of touches. All right coming up next, and Greg you say, I think. I think Mark Barron is Mark Sharon supposed to join us next..

"You by straight talk wireless. Best phones. Best networks, no contracts. There's a surefire way to take the spotlight off. The fact that Lee Smith and Harold Baines are being inducted into Cooperstown. This summer. It's to come back and have the writers elect someone unanimously for the first time in history. Mariano Rivera named on four hundred twenty five ballots becomes the first player ever to be named on. One hundred percent Ken Griffey junior held the Mark for the top percentage. Ninety nine point three. Two years ago. Tom Seaver ninety eight point eight and nine hundred ninety two Nolan. Ryan was on ninety eight point eight percent Cal Ripken ninety eight point five, Ty. Cobb ninety eight point two George Brett ninety eight point two, Hank. Aaron Tony Gwynn. Randy johnson. Greg Maddux Chipper Jones. Mike schmidt. Johnny bench. Steve Carlton, Babe, Ruth, hana's Wagner, all voted in with at least ninety five percent over the years. But it wasn't until two thousand nineteen at someone received. One hundred percent Morano Rivera ESPN insider, Tim Kirkman. He's the greatest closer of all time. There is not a close second on the character scale. No one's better than him. As far as postseason goes, no pitcher maybe ever has been better than him. And you just put everything together on how he dominated that position. And I'm just so happy that somebody finally got in unanimously, and we don't have to talk about that. That all the time anymore. So does this start like an new trend over the next few years? Do you think we'll see more of this players that just you NAMI jeeter's up next year? So are we going to see more unanimous hall of famers in your mind? I would say we're not going to see more maybe one more somewhere along the line, but not many more next year. Someone will make a point to Derrick jeeter wasn't as good defensively as number showed, which is preposterous. You should be. He should be a first ballot unanimous hall of Famer also to me is one of the three greatest shortstops of all time played the way he did for twenty years. I want to get to the other people who were abducted, but looking at the very small relatively percentage for bonds. You know to to go up, and what we've said before about how much you need to increase year-by-year order to make it feel like there's a likelihood you're getting in does this sort of tell you that without a total sea change in public opinion over the next three years. Those guys aren't getting in the that's what I see from today. Now things can change keep in mind. Edgar Martinez started at twenty five percent ended at eighty five percent. So you can make a push. But there's no baggage with Edgar like there are like there is what those other steroid guys. With fifty nine percent Clemens with fifty nine and a half percent. Of course. It's Mariano Rivera who gets one hundred percent ESPN analyst Mark Sharon played with him in New York to me. He's one hundred percent because when you look at you know, arguably the best pitcher arguably the best center fielder. Yeah. There's a lot of arguments you can make an history of baseball. There is no argument. You.

You say sorta surprised Jonathan we are seeing sok-chan stock down almost four percent in this session. And I did enjoy a comment on the Bloomberg intelligence analysis where you said the sock Jan gets European banks twenty nineteen off with a whimper not a bang now. One line we can draw between this and what we've seen from the US banks this week is if we talk about trading revenue we've seen banks including CitiGroup report a slump in trading revenue J P Morgan Goldman both missed analysts estimates for trading revenue. US investors, though have been looking through the negativity for US banks are they likely to do a similar thing for European banks. Different. I mean, yes. You pay the Asian had the Lehto candidates talking about nine percent, and they will have much better two thousand seventeen two thousand eighteen. So the problem is been salt in. "Organizing signs. I guess it's been a real problem in Washington state where people. You know, there's a little green highway markers. The mileage Mark Sharon, they're just really innocuous little signs that will, you know, say whatever number. It's the mileage marker the highway in this case it is. Route two thirty one eastern Washington. Actually, that's that's another number pardon me. The four twenty is in Yakima county. And. That there's all sorts of there's a sixty nine signs problem as well. Do I have to explain this to people why four twenty and sixty nine or so popularly stolen? Can you got three hours? Twenty. The other one diagram it for me. See you got this diving board. So they can for people are just they're ripping them off. I mean, it's legend the story of the first sign the I sixty nine mile marker was put into the ground using a steel posting concrete and the and the highway workers, they're just amazed. How quickly somebody used a car to yank the sign off the ground while they hit and stole it and took it there's a mile marker sixty nine Yakima county. They just every time they replace it. Somebody steals it. So what they have done is brilliant. What they have done is is now the sign is moved slightly, and it'll say sixty eight point nine. The four twenty mile marker now says four nineteen point nine. So nobody will want it. And that's the solution. Isn't it really kind of a perfect solution?.
