I four out among the last four in Alabama tide on Wednesday group into fourteen and eight on the season of fifteen point win over Georgia. Alabama bouncing back from a twenty one point loss at Auburn there last time out Alabama coach Avery Johnson. I talked to him about how to handle disappointment just because you're disappointed in your last performance. That still doesn't mean that you can't accomplish your dreams and goals. We're very disappointed when you lose to your rival and just basically get embarrassed. So we got back to the drawing board got back to work. And I like our guys attitudes were confident they shot the ball. Well, and we put together a better. Second half on defense. Our second half defenses have been our Kelly's he'll so again, they responded to you know, being disappointed. And that's a great example, not only our team, but all of our fans, and our student body that was present tonight that that's what you call being great role models. How to bounce back? I love when you guys get out in transition. How would you rate fast break points, and how you guys got out and transition offensively tonight? We got back to our style of play which is rebounding the ball and getting the ball out when you talking about guys like DeJean Ingram and herb Jones, and Kevin Maggs, John petty all of our wing guys the skies can fly even our big guys can run and Gaylon Smith. Unfortunately, it was able to come back in the second half. But the getting's comes out and give us a huge lift tonight. But that just shows you the character of our team day wasn't getting many minutes here recently. But he's. He's been practicing. Well, and he was ready to play. And that's why I love these kids. They're just a great group to play coach, but they are fast team. And we're fortunate convert on the bright tonight who had a better day, Alabama basketball fans with your winter Alabama football fans, but national signing day, it seemed to be a pretty good day in town. Yeah. Grey tea town as is all about a partnership. We got a great partnership with footballing. We want them to be successful. All of our team football, softball gymnastics, women's basketball. We all support one another some excited that we have the number one recruiting football class again in the country. I I think it's the positions that they are at now when you look at this class look at the number of ESPN three hundred commitments in this class, they had basically broken their own previous record. And now Bama.

"I mean, get out of my way, they're selling t shirts Ralph's that just say LeBron James on him with the Laker with with the L for the Lakers. You know what? I mean, this is this is this man's team. He has it all, and, you know, Luke, Walton going to UCLA, let's get for us. That's good for college basketball. So that's what I'm keeping my own as well. Yeah. The there's yet UCLA will be I think Arizona Arizona like they might wait until after while gets fired that actually is going to be very interesting to see Sean Miller comes out of this. I don't know that it's fascinating. 'cause I feel like I feel like if Luke Walton does get fired Sean mill like, it's more likely that Zona would fire Shawn Miller, assuming that like they have reason to assume that you know, from all these trials in the investigations in all this stuff like stuff comes up that you even if it's just fifty fifty which is kind of what rat. Now, I suppose is that they could probably fire him. No one would really freak out that much because. As much as we talk about this in as much of a joke about there not being a tape from Mark schlabach, a book Richardson was still doing all his dirty shit with Shawn Miller overseeing it all. And then today's kind of reached the point where you can't play. The I didn't know what my system was up to car. I didn't know I couldn't do that. Yeah. That doesn't work. I'm sure they could fire. But I think I think if walls available that that makes it definitely chaser. And we get we get the carousel spending a little bit. But yeah. Hoiberg watch UCLA's open Nebraska by the open Maryland by the open. Those those seem to be the one right now that I'm around Minnesota, which is what I said from the start. I retract at one. It looks like old Dicky's gonna keep his job. They're having a decent season. Penn State's gonna be open. I think but we don't want that. What about like four's about your guy? Dany take. Nah, he's good a game that extension. They're sorta riding the wave there in hoard horn is Jalen Horta probably stayed next year as a sophomore most likely in you got Brandon children's senior. Jalen horrid? Than actual superstar team. Then maybe make a real run at trying to compete nasc-. He does yet. Manning is what he's under counter to like twenty twenty five. It'll be right. Yeah. He'll be probably keep him hook. It will more your we'll give them one more one more year. I dunno Texas shock is always shock on the hot seat every year. But not really the kind of what even is the hot seat. Actually mean. We don't know. I don't know. It'll be interesting. So long story short the Hoiberg watch. We're not really we we have no more clarity. We'll see what happens. We are. No closer. We're closer watch him for Fred. We'll see where he goes. And takes interviews. I think that article is or any of those articles is more of a ploy by the agents to put it out there that hey, Fred Hoiberg wants to job, and he'll take any job you offer him as long as you know, it's in the basketball world. And then you know, I was in office two weeks ago. Tom tiptoes calling asking about all the jobs in the league trying to figure out where he's gonna go. So all these guys they're just fishing around right now to see what's going to open up, and let's just say, it's a complicated future at Arizona. So keep an eye on that. Before we go. I wanted to play this audio because it was hysterical. I don't know if you saw the state Kevin Willard head coach Seton Hall, they're playing at Butler any tells his guys he tells one of his players, they're they might up in the huddle any tells us player, you've got seven foot one white guy on you. My son could go by him. It was it was great. It was a great moment. Play play the audio for scout. Let's get let's listen to this..

"It's anything, but in from a recruiting perspective just to stick with Clemson in that class with hundred jets and they signed to quarterback Cooper was chase Bri Jay whose zeal. They won his left. Right. He's the only one that's left who saved the season the season, and their coaches will tell you they feel like he could star. For half of the teams in the ACC. Well, and that's starting to be the mentality. More about the ACC. Well that but that's starting to be the mentality. From a lot of coaches, though, is that signing two quarterbacks in class is almost a necessity in certain situations or we see Minnesota with two Penn State with two ESPN three hundred zero Zona state with three ESPN three Alabama to write a lot of people. Forget in the class. Alabama had with two was Mack. Jones Mack Jones to quarterback he's played a lot right racks playing a lot of football for a guy who's a developmental player. He's at Alabama now. And he's seen a lot of football. Yeah. So I think that's going to become the norm. Now two out of these transfers in certain situations. Maybe not every year. But a lot more to quarterbacks in each classes. And from the the quarterbacks perspective, they know they're both not gonna play. Sure. But because a transfer is becoming more prevalent. They're okay with going into it competing seeing. What happens and then figuring out? What happens right? I like to get a truth serum with Justin fields eventually and just say just get his thoughts on how he was used this year because it. It was one play here. One play. There might be just he wasn't ready, and that's fine. But putting him in situations where you're not allowing him to get into a rhythm. Then why plan at all why is Jake from off the field. Well, just felt like placations, right? Some point. And and to keep him from entering into the portal like let's get this kid on the field. Let them think he has a shot because we he's got some talent we think it'll be good down the line. And then the last play, you know, you might remember enforce fourth down on a level four on a on a punt. He he threw the ball forty two times this season. That's it. And then he actually had good stats, right? Is statistically he performed? Well, right now with those steps, but he's probably also turning on the TV and seeing what Trevor Lawrence is absolutely is in the same class. Right. And he's got he's he wins out at Clemson was ranked higher than Trevor Lawrence. Why am I why is he happening? Yeah. But I mean, listen, I I think that everybody including Justin fields felt like there would be more of a prominent role. Guess then at the end of the. A day and especially early in the season. Because if you remember the first half of the season georgiana offense with sputtering. They were sputtering on third down. Jake fromm was not having the type of year that he had had year before they lose to LSU and from that point on they go on terror authencity. And so how do you justify taking Jake from the field? Then you know, again, there's one there's only one ball. And there's thoughts about sources telling ESPN Mark schlabach got the story that feels as interested in transferring to Ohio State ext, Wayne Askins is likely going to be gone. And then you think about the Domino's if that were to happen, and it feels where to get a hardship waiver. I think he's going to apply for different, Matt. I think that's the whole x factor. And all of this is number one. If he doesn't get a hardship waiver, no hard, it is to decide where you're going to transfer. You don't know what's going to happen with the current team. You don't know who they're going to recruit, you don't know who's going to get injured. You don't know how that team's gonna play out your? I mean, that's fifteen months away. If you get the waiver. That's a whole different set of circumstances. Tate martell. We'll be watching intently. Yes, he will see what happens there speaking Domino's. Right. They're bunch of other stuff..

"Couple of quarterbacks making headlines on Wednesday. On the NFL Panthers. Amidst a six game losing streak all but eliminated from playoff contention deciding that for this week at the very least they will shut down Cam Newton ESPN Panthers reporter, David Newton. Or are the biggest thing is absolutely. Except for less than one percent chance of making the playoffs that that there's really no need to play him Muslim forward. I mean, if they still run serious playoff contention Cam Newton will go. He would probably insist on playing they probably if I had it works so far doing what they've been doing with this. But with absolutely no chance right now, it seems like the smart thing to do for Ron Rivera. There's a lot riding on the season still for Ron Rivera too. Because it's kind of up in the air, and he's probably to win these couple of games. If that makes a difference, though, the fact that they're sitting Cam Newton right now, I think has all the do without being a playoff condition, and realizing that his shoulder doesn't really give them the best chance to win right now. So how concerned are they about cams long term future? At this point. He's already had one surgery. What are we hearing about the possibility for surgery, and ultimately where? Stands long-term or can't was asking about that a couple of weeks ago. And he hasn't ruled that out, but you could stay the frustration or hear the frustration with him after the game on Sunday. He said he's he's doing everything he can from acupuncture massage therapy, nothing seems to work to give him relief. And that's been very frustrating for him. And he just can't make all the throws that he was making in the past. So right now, they've got to take a look at they'll probably start off looking at rats and ceiling that dies. I've talked to some people say surgery, probably not an option. But if that happens, then you gotta be real concerned about the future because you saw what happened with blood where he had to sit out basically entire season. And the Panthers have to be prepared in case that happens again Panthers are shutting down Cam Newton for this week. Ron Rivera saying on Wednesday. The team had not made a decision about Newton status for week seventeen at New Orleans, Georgia freshman quarterback Justin fields at the college level. What we learned on Tuesdays listed on the NCAA transfer portal, Kirby smart. Acknowledging as much which means fields is considering a transfer and coaches are free to recruit him sources telling ESPN's Mark schlabach fields is interested in transferring to Ohio State fields is expected to apply for a hardship waiver, which if granted would make him eligible to play in two thousand nine for now field is practicing with Georgia and preparing to play Texas in the Sugar Bowl to a tunnel lower. Meanwhile, optimistic that he'll be fully recovered from ankle surgery and ready to play in the Orange Bowl. He says his left ankle will be just fine for the semifinal game with the Sooners on the twenty nine he's been practicing on a limited basis since the crimson tide began playoff preparations last week, Alabama Oklahoma in one semi Notre Dame. Clemson and the other Brian Kelly their head coach Kennedy Irish prepared. He took time to chat with our Scott van pelt one to ten how prepared are you guys for Clemson seven. We've got a couple more days. Well, actually one we finished up today. With our Wednesday traditional Wednesday. Practice will practice small. Let them go and meet him down in Dallas next Sunday and have three or four practices. So I'd say about seventy percent of the work is done when you look at Clemson on safe what screams at you jumps off the film and is a concern. Defensive line, first and foremost, obviously, you know, generally, you get one or two players that are, you know, elite. They've got four. About actor. And and I think the other thing is skill on the offensive side of the ball.

Reporter David Newton or the biggest thing is they except for less than one percent chance of making the playoffs. That is really no need to play him moving forward. I mean, if they still run serious playoff contention Cam Newton, we go. He would probably insist on playing they probably if it works so far I have doing what they've been doing with this. But with absolutely no chance right now, it seems like the smart thing to do for Ron Rivera. There's a lot riding on the season still for Ron Rivera too. Because this kind of up in the air, and he's probably the Wendy's couple of games if that makes a difference to the fact that they're sitting Cam Newton right now all the do without being a playoff condition and realized the shoulder doesn't really give them the best chance to win right now. So how concerned are they about cams long term future at this point is already had one surgery. What are we hearing about the possibility for surgery, and ultimately where? He stands long-term or Camelback ask about a couple of weeks ago. And he hasn't ruled that out, but you could see the frustration or hear the frustration with him after the game on Sunday. He said he's he's doing everything he can from acupuncture massage therapy, nothing seems to work to give him relief. And that's been very frustrating for him. And he just can't make all the throws that he was making in the patch right now, they've got to take a look at this. They'll probably start off looking at rats, and what that does I talked to some people say surgery, probably not an option. But if that happens, then you gotta be real concerned about the future because you saw what happened with blood where he had to sit out basically entire season. And the Panthers has to be prepared in case that happens again Panthers are shutting down Cam Newton for this week. Ron Rivera saying on Wednesday. "Home against Auburn. Bulldogs win out beat Alabama in Atlanta. And it's not easy there in the playoff. For a second straight year. Let's go out that way to Georgia. Mark Slater ESPN college football insider, joining us on the shell Pennzoil performance line one Mark, I don't I don't necessarily believe Auburn should have a little number next to its name too. I'm surprised at the number of people that think Auburn could literally really kind of put a scare in Georgia. What do you think? I AM a Twitter Spinella the and last week. I would I would agree with you. But I mean, it's it's such a traditional rivalry. It's it's such a series where the lesser team or not expensive is, you know, dash hopes. Team. But I think with the way Georgia. That's played the last couple of weeks. They seem to be getting more physical. On the offensive line. And able to run the ball out agree with you. I just gonna have a tough time scoring Georgia's been able to run the ball. But again so many times before where Auburn either dash hopes or more about this whole thing about Georgia being already in the SEC title game. And all the talk about. Yeah. What's going to happen with Alabama? Can you beat Alabama? And look at these are college kids is there going to be any overlooking. Is there a distraction there because of that you take this team? Seriously is Georgia's focus going to be on Auburn or we'll be somewhere else. Mark. In the past. You would have worried about that. Mel, I I think if anything I think, you know, curvy is has done a good job of keeping these kids focuses focused and getting them ready to. As you earlier this season. I think the only thing they've done they they showed up. They won the games are supposed to win. And you know, they they've been ready to play. And I think you know. I it's. That'd be shocked if they don't show up and all over, you know, they they've got March Liebau joining us. They've got a win out that includes beating Alabama in Atlanta. It's a match up that we already know after both teams clinched a week ago. This Georgia team we saw it last year. Take Bamut overtime, obviously, it's a different team in a different defense. How what kind of a chance would you give or will you give this Georgia team as currently constructed as we watched them now of beating Alabama? Unless something changes dramatically between now and December folks that's to be really difficult. Now, I mean, and look, you know, I didn't expect them to do much when the championship game last year with a freshman quarterback in they took them over time. But you know, they struggle to stop the run they've gotten better the last few weeks since the LSU. But they struggle to stop the run, you know, and, you know, even if the box to stop Damian, Harris, and those other guys know is good enough to sit back there and pick your cars they've been you know, they've got a true freshman corner Tyson Campbell who is a little bit. So, you know, I think it could be difficult. I think I think Alabama would have to turn it over one or two times. And I think Joe Hart Bill would have to run back upon or do you want? You would have to block upon to turn the game. But you know, I think they'd have they'd have a shot. But I agree that the ten fourteen point underdog probably horse Jarrett's stood him. Now in terms of a mindset to say, I'm coming back to Auburn didn't do the things accomplish things that started to become a first round draft towards maybe in the second round draft choice for that matter Jarrett's stood on when they win football games. He's been seven touchdowns zero picks when they lose. He's throwing pit intersection. So for charities stood a Mark, what's your gut? Tell you about what his decision will be about leaving for the NFL or. Returning to Auburn for the two thousand nineteen campaign. You know, better than I do Mel but just struggled so badly to protecting this year. And they struggled to run the ball behind in everything seems to have been on his shoulders. I mean, the big question for me is you know, is going to be back. But you know, was he gonna Lindsey going to be back is all sorts of coordinators easy, better off just going to the NFL and not having to come back under do all sorts of coordinator again next year. I don't love, you know. The guy who's already in that, you know, I think you would know better than what his stock is. But you know. Certainly this. Because I think a lot of people expected him to be one of the top one or two passers in the SEC this year. Just hasn't worked out that way that is up. Mark schlabach college football insider, getting us ready for Georgia and Auburn, Mark. Thanks, man. Good talking to you guys there. It is a melon melon ESPN radio and the ESPN. "It's gonna be a wild ride. Newsradio. Eight forty W H E S seven forty six NewsRadio eight forty w ATS. And I think Louisville and Kentucky fans and NCWA fans are gonna hate to hear the name Christian doctrines. This is just going to keep coming back. This of course, is the is the the agent, you know, the story NCWA trial from the wrapped up here not long ago, and we had some convictions in the fairly federal boys. Have given the green light to the NC double A to do their own investigations. And there is a documents Scott terrible ESPN is reporting on that Christian. Doc, doc ins had sent out to some partners talking about paying some players, and I won't mention any players names because there's no evidence that the players actually knew about this. Maybe they did maybe they didn't. I don't nobody's talking about paying a couple of thousand dollars a month, and in some cases, three or four thousand dollars a month to to various players. But again, there's no indication that the. Players that the that the payments were made that the players knew anything about it. That's not to say it did or didn't happen. I'm just saying it's it's out there in some emails that were apparently re released which he SPN has has gotten a hold up. So this whole college basketball. Scandal is going to go on for some time. We are not getting away from this anytime soon, and if you're one of the major college programs. It's going to touch you in some way, whether you did anything wrong or not because all the big boys are going to be the focus here. Well, that's fact, Joe and will brought this to my attention here just about seven thirty. And I went and grabbed the stories on ESPN dot com. Mark schlabach put this out about nine o'clock last night. I saw and. Yeah. And you read it, and I'm sure a lot of other people have to he does specifically say, and I'm quoting schlabach. In the article says in the Email darkens advised his partners. He had deals in place with three players who had recently turned pro. And because you're not named while respect that one was from Clemson one was from Creighton and one was from Xavier. Yeah. Well, we I think we should probably mentioned that would be Edwin Sumner who's playing in the G league is a member of the Indiana Pacers G league team, I guess has a a what they call a two way contract. But there are a couple of U of Al players and UK players are piddly players that either were. Or our current? You of our UK players. And I don't mention it only because they there there's no evidence that they had any. We just don't know they had any knowledge. So I'm not trying to trash anybody. Sure. What I'm just saying that there is no question that this story is only going to get bigger. Exactly. This thing is not going to go away ESPN has had their finger on this one for a while. And there were so many loads put it the best way to complement. What you're saying? That is there's a lot of smoke, but we just have to look and see if there's fire. I don't know. I don't know who's guilty of what? But I mean, we've heard about you know, Kansas Duke and Louisville Kentucky, we heard all these major programs. I'll tell you one thing though, that I never really realized there is clearly so much money that is floating around. Yes. When there's that much money floating around anywhere, you really have to start asking some questions. Yeah. It's gonna be interesting college basketball season as we've already found out from just week one not only on the court, but off the court because I think. Your your point in woollen. I shared that. The story is going to get much much bigger in the coming months. So what's the NC double A just in theory? What would the NC double A D? I mean, you can't have a final with Rhode Island versus. This might well CBS isn't gonna pay for that is not going to pay for that. You can't write the big boy programs may be safest, I'm again, I'm not accusing anybody of anything. But they may be safest in the fact that this we really don't know where to start there's so many there's so many things going on here. But I don't think the NC double A is likely to turn loose of any money anytime soon from TBS or CBS or endorsement rights or anything else. So this thing is going to get really complicated. It's already really complicated who kidney seven fifty a NewsRadio eight forty WATS. Find out what's going on. From our newsroom, here's will Clark. The.

"We've talked about a lot a lot of the biggest gains in college football. There are more that we need to hit. We're going to do that in fifteen minutes. And then of course, week one of the NFL we dive into that coming up at the top of the hour. There is I think you could argue it's the biggest game in college football. And it's a big game because it impacts. An SEC eastern division that look if South Carolina beats Georgia today mailman that bad boy becomes wide open. Which and South Carolina. Good. And there's a lot of people think will muschamp team is certainly ready to make that kind of a statement. They've got a great opportunity with the Georgia BULLDOGS. Third ranked team in the country coming in. Let's bring in on the shell Pennzoil performance line college football reporter, Mark schlabach. And you know, this is. It's it's going to be a thousand degrees at Williams Brice. We know that right. The fans are going to be absolutely out of control. This is the biggest game they've had in that building in a long time at least one that they feel they can win clemson's played there. But they think they can beat Georgia. What how do you describe the vibe in that part in central South Carolina right about now? South carolina. The last four times Georgia went into Colombia witnessed some really good Georgia to go over the news. I think South Carolina's one last nine overhaul. But you know, and I think there's some anxiety. Yeah. Because I think oh, no. Here we go again. But I think this team's different programs different under curvy smart. And you know, I think it'll be a close game. I don't know about you guys. I'm stunned towards bread. That's why I want to go to market. The Georgia BULLDOGS was the defensive hits that they took is that group final four national championship caliber will they be that way not the story today. But will they be that way as the season progresses? Yes. Yeah. I mean, they're gonna be really good. Maybe not right now. But you don't replace guys like roquan Smith and down Bellamy Lorenzo Carter overnight. But you know, we've seen how Kirby and his style. Recruited, some guys like Monty rice and Britain, Cox, former five stores stuff, I think those guys are gonna get better every week. I think the one deficiency they have on that side of the ball. Mill is that they don't have that big three hundred three hundred and ten pound nose tackle. But you see Nick savings defenses. And I think Julian Rochester has to step up and play well and play well on a consistent basis, and he hasn't done that supports Mark schlabach. Joining us shell Pennzoil performance line. It is an enormous game. South Carolina offensively. It's clearly going to be better with the addition of Bebo Samuel who made a remarkable catch last week in their win over coastal Carolina. When you look at it, Jake patently who's been up and down. Maybe took a little bit of a step back a year ago. Four touchdowns last week. How prepared how are they simply good enough to create problems for that Georgia defense, which again in that back seven is is a lot is relatively new. I mean, they're going up tempo under McCoy. Dan, four touchdowns last week. I mean, the kids taking some criticism, but Jesus. They run the ball. I think he was maybe trying to do a little bit too much was forcing late too many mistakes in big games. They gotta figure out how to run the ball. And they haven't done that against Georgia last running Georgia's out gain of sixty eight to seventy three on the ground. The last two games combined. You're not going to beat any book deficiency. So. Doubt. Oh, and Tyson Williams can run the ball against this defense. Like, otherwise, you're just going to go after Bailey. Make it really difficult dot it. Yeah. You want to be at full-strength, Mark. When you're going into a game where you are a ten point underdog and for South Carolina at defense is going to be challenged that Georgia BULLDOGS offenses loaded with talent and DJ want them. You may not be today beyond cloudy, but he's awful goodie at six acts last year batting down passes wreaking havoc injured last week with the ankle and the talks you've had with will muschamp. What do they expect in terms of DJ Wadham and his status for this game this afternoon? He's never gonna try to go. He didn't do much this week will. So they felt pretty good about him. He's waiting spruce day. They gotta having an experience inexperienced. Attention. They gotta have on the edge. It's an inexperienced secondary started through seismic Nickelback about though, so if they can't get pressure on Jake from think he's got a chance to really have a big day. We didn't see much out of Georgia last week. But I think one thing we did see. Meco hardman Dmitri's Robinson and those other guys if they can get those guys and ISO situation they're gonna run past week or South Carolina. Keeping up with them. Mark have some fun, brother. Good to talk to you. Yeah. This is what imagine if South Carolina beat Georgia, again, not out of the question that is a big old number. And he said what ten ten and a half, whatever it may be. That's a big old number to put on this game. Because South Carolina is more than capable has the talent. I think offensively we'll see if it has the talent defensively. You'd you'd mentioned DJ want him. Yes. He's going to play. Sprained his ankle last week. We'll see if it hampers him at all. Can they get him to Jake from or Justin fields? We'll see how much Justin fields plays. There's a lot of wild card. You talked about Terry Godwin who didn't play last week. He is at full strength. He was a full go mid week at practice for Georgia. So that's good for them. What if South Carolina wins? Now does that start to bring into play? Dan Mullen in Florida in the SEC, you've got Kentucky Florida, which is another big game. Again. I think Kentucky is good enough to go to Gainesville and win. They've been on the fringe of snapping that long losing streak against Florida for the last few years they've gone to overtime against they've left receivers. Open last year twice Florida scores a touchdown because a wide receiver was completely forgotten about Kentucky with ten men on the field. You can't do that stuff like for week to to get to SEC east matchups like this like we're in for a treat. Yeah. Kentucky the quarterback play. The ability to throw the football accurately and make plays in the passing game and not be one dimensional or are they going to be good enough. That's the big question. I'd watching Kentucky last week is the passing attack. Did not look good did not look impressive. And I think for Georgia right now across the board. I just checked are there about ten point favorite tendonitis right now. But it was now down the tenant to win the west gate. So we'll. See DJ want him injury is critical. And that's why we've talked about that a lot. And then walk just gave us. The update is try to go. You can't not have all your elite players in a game of this magnitude against an opponent. This is frankly better than you are and what I'm for them is our best defensive player. He's a guy can disrupt fields in particularly Frahm throwing the football too that the host of receiving options that he has he's got big time talent outside you give him time. He'll eat you alive. And I think that's where I look at Wadham. How effective is he on that ankle, which certainly will not be one hundred percent. No, it won't be it won't be. That's a huge game. That's a three thirty eastern time game, Georgia and South Carolina. It's it's a monster. And you can hear it. You can hear Georgia visiting South Carolina in Columbia. It's going to be cooking hot down. There. It's presented by Dr Pepper. Coverage. Does begin to thirty eastern. And you get it all on ESPN radio ESPN radio dot com and the ESPN app. One of the biggest games of the day right there with number two. Clemson. Visiting JIMBO Fisher and Texas. Am who looked awfully good? But against northwestern state last Thursday night in week one right there with USC visiting Stanford because if Washington did ding themselves in their playoff chances, which I don't think they have yet. You don't think they have yet? It's gonna be USC and Stanford in all likelihood one of those teams that's going to have to make that surprise run through the Pac twelve if it's not Washington in the playoff. If it's anybody in the Pac twelve it's likely going to be one of those two teams. I don't know that Oregon is there yet we'll watch Utah Utah. But in terms of running the table in the Pac twelve I don't think the utes are that good, by the way, they've got an interesting non conference game at northern Illinois props to Utah for going in and play a little MAC Shen in their territory. Does match northern Illinois for a half played Iowa tough and his couldn't generate enough offense and defense got after it. But for a half, they shut them down. And then and fats tight end for Iowa non factor pretty much in that game was TJ Hopkinson that team up big the Iowa Hawkeyes and Nathan Stanley did not play. Well, he needs. Oh, no. Stay and play a lot better for the Iowa. Hawkeyes football game, we might get into that one too. Because again, we've talked about a lot of games. They're still other big ones you need to be paying attention to today. We dive into those headfirst as we cruise along. Thanks for hanging out with a story. The last nine over all of it, you know? And I think there's some things items. Yeah, because I think they own, oh, here we go again. But I think if you like this team's different this programs different under curvy smart. And you know, I think I, I think it'll be a close game. I mean, I don't know about you guys. I'm stunned it's at ten and a half point spread. Yes. Well, I want to go to market. The Georgia BULLDOGS was the defensive hits that they took is at group final four, national championship caliber. Will they be that way not to sorry today, but will they be that way as a season progresses? Yeah, I mean, they're going to be really good. Maybe not right now, but movie on November. You don't replace guys like roquan Smith and down Bellamy Lorenzo Carter overnight. But you know, we've seen how Kirby and his staff have recruited some guys like Monty rice and Brinton Cox, former five stores force congress and stuffed, and I think those guys are gonna get better every week. I think the one deficiency they have on that side of the ball Mel is that they don't have that big, three hundred three hundred and ten pound nose tackle. But you see Nick savings defenses and I think Julian Rochester has to step up and play well and play well on a consistent basis. And he hasn't done that. So Florence career Mark schlabach joining us shell, Pennzoil performance line it. It is an enormous game, South Carolina offensively. You know, it's, it's clearly going to be better with the addition of Bebo Samuel who made a remarkable catch last week in their win over coastal Carolina. When you look at it, Jake pantley who's been up and down, maybe took a little bit of a step back a year ago. Four touchdowns in the last week. How prepared, how are they simply good enough to create problems for that Georgia defense, which again, in that back, seven is a lot is relatively new. The goal, they're going up tempo under fire mcclenaghan Dan water. Oh four touchdowns last week. I mean the kids taking some criticism, but Jesus. I mean he had to do everything threes. They gonna run the ball. I think he was maybe trying to do a little bit too much was forcing things may too many mistakes in big games. They gotta figure out how to run the ball and they haven't done that against Georgia last town. I think Georgia's outgained on five hundred sixty eight to seventy three on the ground. The last two games combined. You're not going to beat anybody with that kind of deficiency. So. Doubt. Oh, and Tyson Williams can run the ball against this defense. I think otherwise, your just gonna pin their ears back. You'll after Bailey and make it really difficult on it..
