NASCAR Drivers Try Out Racing Version of Ford's Mustang Mach-E

"Nascar drivers recently had a chance to test a new ford vehicle. It's got seven motors in it. It's got fourteen hundred horsepower and electric mark rush broke global director of ford performance motorsports. The company developed a racing version of its all electric mustang machi crossover. It pushes everything to the extreme to really show what the potential is of this platform and for electric powertrains. The prototype is not street legal and it's not competing in races but the company is using it to showcase what an can do feel that. Almost instantaneous torque going from a standing start and it is just a very sustained high rate of acceleration even our nascar drivers that drive very high power internal combustion engine race cars. They just come out smiling and excited about what the future is. The car may be a one off. But ford says its commitment to vs is not the company recently announced it's increasing its investment in vs to twenty two billion dollars so rush brooke says ford wants to get people thinking about is not only as good for the climate but his fun fast and powerful

"Postal bill marked Rush Police shot in Texas I'm Evan Haining. House Democrats are being asked to return to Washington to address the slowing of mail delivery by President Trump's new postmaster General Lewis to Joy correspondent Abby Phillip reports the House wants to joy to explain why he's cut overtime removed mailboxes and high speed sorting equipment. And invested tens of millions of his dollars in companies that compete with the U. S. Postal Service. It's a significant development to bring the house back into session. We should keep in mind this week and next week are the two conventions the Democratic and Republican Conventions. So bringing Congress back to deal with this issue would be a change of practice from recent history. Presidential advisor and son in law Jared Kushner told CBS's face the Nation why Trump opposes voting by mail. I think what President Trump Once is a fair election. If you have a tried and true system where they've been doing it like absentee ballots, where there's some security mechanisms built in, that's totally acceptable. That's a great thing to do. But you can't have a new system being tried where there's not the right time to do it and expect them to get it right and then expect that Americans will have confidence in the elections in the Austin suburb of Cedar Park, Texas, Three police officers were shot. And a person remains barricaded inside the home with three of his family members. The officers are in stable condition with non life threatening injuries. Well, the Democratic National Convention starts Monday. Correspondent Jessica Dean reports. It'll be a virtual convention because of the growing pandemic. There are four stages that will be set up across America one in New York one in Los Angeles, Milwaukee, which was the original site of the full convention on then here in Wilmington, Delaware. "Now we turn to mark Rush Limbaugh program you know something if you were standing outside the courthouse to intimidate a witness and they had to put that witness in the witness protection program maybe fly the witness out to hole up in the Bahamas for a couple of weeks until the trial you'd be in a hell of a lot of trouble but apparently you can explicitly threatened judges by name as the Senate minority leader with a mall out pointing outside the door of the courthouse and you can get away with that I don't know all the stuff you know do you mean it's up to the Democrats that the but the point I made about the trend lot thing is all in the end you know you can look at the schools in the constitutional that statute or whatever but all civilized societies the rules by which they operate presume the behavior of gentleman and you can mock my way of characterizing that that that's true because the many you have someone who declined to be bound by the norms and codes and conventions of behavior then you have what we have now where the full force of the law applies to one side and not to the outside so for example you can have a completely pointless inconsequential telephone call between Jeff sessions and the Russian ambassador and Jeff sessions has to recuse himself in competition this income be doing that where is the other guy can be standing outside the courthouse for admitting that two nine judges won't know what hit them and now we've got some pansy Stafa the usual thing says you know the cowardly gutless American senator who hides behind his stuff is which is also one of the most repulsive features of the United States Senate this the star for issue some statements saying that he was talking about Republican senators not winning reelection no he was saying that this guy gore such he said you goal such and you happen now won't know what hit you are you goal such antenna and at a certain point we might as well cut to the chase and have a civil war if you have a if you have the full if the rules apply only to one party and not to the other party there's no point to carrying on with this no point at all Nigel cut to the chase and have a civil war and that's a big problem Russia is going to be back tomorrow in the meantime I want to say something right rush referenced it last week and I didn't say I wasn't really paying full attention because Seth in the course of mentioning this as an aside he mentioned but I host this show from a cave in New Hampshire and because it's not you know the state of the art K. you've hi Kim some of bin laden had in Tora Bora you know it doesn't have the real top of the line call me in a live chat live train at the back of the cave where more primitive and New Hampshire so like Tora Bora Hey I don't know it's just about what you said what you mean by what what's wrong with this cave I got a bit distracted and I failed to notice that the reason he was a he was basically treating my cave like one big bullet train it was because he was promoting the new rush app that makes it possible if you've got apple TV if you've got apple TV you can now what should rush on the data cam on your big screen TV and as rush was at pains to point out it's only in his studio that you have the data cam nobody wants to be looking at a live train in New Hampshire for three hours so we don't have it here but he has got it in his studio.

"Mark Rush Limbaugh program the Democrats on no telling the campaign the the corn unquote majority of coal because results will be released at five P. M. eastern I don't know whether that's five PM eastern today all five PM eastern on November the twelfth which seems more likely but we will see well I think actually most of the album get into this in a minute most of us old he no how this is getting whether they managed to find a few extra coca's guy was to bulk up a certain candidates numbers will see how well they what you say made of the intervening twenty four hours I I do once they laid it Cameron Cameron wanted it count tweeted mock what is the best way to send good wishes her rush she knows rush doesn't like trade I can tell you something Catherine rush it is not going to be looking at Twitter today or tomorrow so forget about that the easiest way if you want to send good wishes to rush I don't want to crash the website or anything but if you go to Rush Limbaugh dot com all right up at the top of web above the words the Rush Limbaugh show the you'll see a little mini menu bar and I think the second or third item along says special notes for rush and you can just click that and you can send your good wishes to rush any thoughts and prayers what whatever you want as a said don't ever think that just because you just won a million city he doesn't want to hear from you it you know that that the beautiful fun Coley did yesterday with livia the the the young lady who'd read old the rush Rivera books and it's taken seven and a half weeks I think it was to go and visit every historic site mentioned in the books that's a very typical example of the kind of less known kind of Rita that rush loves to loves to hear from as I said that the Iowa caucus occurred after a fashion yesterday it's well I'll go with Joe Biden's this is this is the problem here is Joe Biden couldn't lose respectively he lost disastrously so it's been necessary to cover that up that's essentially what's going on here that's why the poll couldn't be released on Sunday because the poll showed him tanking into fourth place and then he he so then yesterday they couldn't release any of the results was actually extraordinary what's going on here it's it's it's blamed on an app okay that this time around they had a whip frowned at the Iowa Democrat party and they decided to buy a computer and they got one of these new fangled things that's only been around for a decade or so and the app they went to this is the company they went to to come up with the act shadow Inc I don't know why they descend Colette specter I mean of the blow felt the blue failed of shattering is apparently bay a peach there's this whole thing from the Bani brothers sold over the internet may a peach is apparently the guy behind shadow egg and the other will now calling him may cheat he's but as I said he's he's like a shadow respect he's the bond villains stroking the white Persian cat and cackling to himself that's my update according according to some of the enraged by the brothers why do they need an app these are just a bit of fun this out there we're going to talk and get some more information from Iowa experts but there is seven this route that there were roughly a hundred and seventy thousand Democrats who turned out yesterday was a day a terrible thing there's no motivation it's not like two thousand and eight then Alden fused about any of the candidates and there was seventeen hundred precincts okay she got seventeen hundred precincts a hundred and seventy thousand votes so you've got an average of a hundred people at each precinct right and they will have to go and stand in different corners of the gymnasium of the cafeteria or whatever it is so you've got some Biden people sending in one corner and you've got some funny people in another Kona and you will Elizabeth Warren people in another Kona and there's a hundred people in the room so this three and the Joe Biden Kona and that is twenty nine in the bunny Kona Y. con I want to calm precinct captains which one hundred people now even if you Democrats that's just five people using their fingers and toes right one to come they count a hundred people and give us those results when now as I said it's going to be twenty four hours after polls closed so what told that the apple went wrong so then the precinct Hamptons say they're gonna try and telephone the man what do you know the telephone system at Cole pissed central isn't working to socialize the apt this new fangled thing it's only been around a decade this all the new fangled thing the telephone the took off in the eighteen nineties it certainly you know hundred thirty year old technology it's still got some few wrinkles that they have to I and I don't the telephone made it home they tell the Democrats the Democrats also about this they literally com phone it in thank but he didn't get paid it's incapable of fun to get it and then we I understand that they they are you to they have a conference call with the head home shower in Iowa the Democrats are running this thing meanwhile actually with the Republican caucus everything's hunky dory it's all working fine it's straightforward there's no reason for this unless your pulling something there's no reason for where us to believe in the coincidence that in this and I was always a bit chaotic because it's this thing got revolves going to eat some town hall of some school gym and standing around and shuffling into Kona's and then you'll candid it doesn't make the final cut so you go to shuffle into some other candidates Colin and it's also often quite come up last night one of the Bundy and one of the precincts Bonnie didn't make enough to qualify for the second round and he should have been eliminated and instead they went and found apparently they went and grabbed a couple of Tom style old don't knows why they were to Tom Stoddard supporters in that room been dragged them over to join Bonnie at to join Brighton and get him over the fifteen percent threshold so it's always corrupt what's going on here is brazen well us to believe that the the the major poll the last poll before the vote fails and then the actual vote fails and when it comes to the failure of the vote where us to believe two two it didn't have to believe that not only the state of the art the state of the art app designed by shadow ink three created by role be moved at the Hilary Hahn choke and well not awesome believe not only that the state of the art app failed but the but telephonic system at Democrat headquarters filed do you believe any of this and now and now by Denis saying we count nobody knows official results can be released until the campaigns have had an opportunity to approve them you know why that is Joe Biden nobody Joe Biden didn't even come a solid fourth he came even he came he underperformed the worst expectations you gotta believe that poll showed people so they coming up the pole and it looks like he's done even worse than in the whole why would you why would you this this is like the Congo ways Jimmy Carter when the U. N. elections observers out when you need them this was like I think it was time to go and I now say something else too while the media reporting these things there had their ADQ old vis their out most of the big ones in des Moines cedar rapids the big polls in Iowa that that that then a little seventeen hundred although I would imagine between this and that little local newspaper actually you've got a you've you've you've got a local reporter said a majority these but why aren't they telling us there in the room they can see those three people standing in Bernie it enough Biden's Kona although they tell us this it ray reminded me you know what I will reminds me of I think was the term of the lease election of about three or four years ago when the guy comes on the head of the Election Commission comes on any of the television and he's ready to announce the results and the the results aren't quite what that weeks president for life had in mind and so the guy from the electoral commission sucks sucks to announce the results and a couple of people bustled to the set and the camera cuts to something else I understand you say by the time we go back to the electoral commission of the official results an entirely different results has been put in place so now the Iowa Democrat party is running Togolese standard elections that's what happened last night that's it you don't need Putin the Macedonian content FAMAS couldn't pull off anything like this it's true brazen the the Democrat party colluded with itself to steal the elections from from Bernie Sanders it's quite extraordinary we're gonna take your calls on the Rush Limbaugh show straight ahead you're listening to the EIB network whether any I have water in this is see.

"This marks Rush Limbaugh and the I at work on long the frog dog okay let's get started on the forms Christiansburg Virginia hi James your next hello Sir hi rush of negative does and get right to the point the the Democrats in the media are making a big mistake because it wasn't because we love trump that we noted for comp arch it was because we hated what they've done to the country and how they separated us and what they've done to the economy and once trump was in and and managed to do also with the economy of course we're going to stay the trial but they've never apologized for what they did and they've never never was come out to try and and make it right well you mean apologize to you well to me and every other American that suffered under terrible economy under Obama and it's up to the under obamacare that was passed through it Chris wasn't suffering that was the new normal that's what you didn't understand it was supposed to be the no normal and you were supposed to be thanking god you had somebody like Obama the manager Fauria I know I I I I hear you they wanted everybody to believe America's glory days were in the past couldn't be replicated because the glory days were not really legitimate they were fueled and build on racism and homophobia and bigotry and sexism and all of that stuff and so America finally had to pay the bill for all the civil rights abuses and all of segregation all racism all of bigotry and all that as an economy those jobs are coming back of mind a promise for blow jobs aren't coming back because the new normal need to manage the client but you know you raise a very good point that goes out saying there are a lot of people that voted for trump that we're not in Namor to drop a lot of people don't misunderstand but the point of this is that the movement if you want to call it that the opposition to this idea that America's best days are behind us that America should have open borders that America's experiment is basically failed and we need to join the rest of the world or whatever it's doing people were fed up with that and trump came along and voice the opposition that millions of Americans fountains and I climbed on the one now what is happened is that movement existed before trump this is not to take anything away from trump he's the only one Sarton capital there's not a single other Republican and saw this they have to be blind to miss this an entire political party waiting to be billed informed on the premise about posing the left Donald Trump is the guy that came along and did it and in the process he has converted a lot of people who back in twenty sixteen didn't particularly care for him to now rabid loyal supporters.

"In this weird nexus between what we used to think we should do, which was that we were developing cars, and what we're actually doing, which is just entertaining people. Right. And like I just read this amazing book called black noon, if you read that I've heard, I've not had chancery heard about it on the Indy five hundred. Yes, Oma got it's so good. It's so good. So it's about the nineteen sixty four and five hundred they have the fire in iron data and they go through every driver in the field. They go through all the things back then it was so funny. Some of the things that were happening back then in terms of how fast the cars were changing the technology and all that stuff. But even back then they were worried about, you know, they knew they. Were developing technology, but they were worried about the show. So it's just like it, maybe it's always changing more things. They say when I think of the Annapolis five hundred in the sixties, I think of it was a test bed for Detroit. It was like we're a lot of spin off products. For passenger cars came from India's test, but I wouldn't have thought of it has being in the entertainment perspective at all that the show was how fast can you go? So we'll need set. New record speeds. They get one hundred thousand people to show for qualify because golden like actually gonna hit one hundred and sixty one miles an hour this year. Let's say, you know, like that was the show speed is along the show. We know we can make a cargoes fascinating. What so our show has to be entertaining racing, which indie to its credit, the greatest recent Indy five hundred being positive of it. Yeah. It's figured out. We're not going to go to forty or to forty five miles an hour on lap average but Riyadh give you tight close resale damn fast to over two hundred thirty s still pretty good. I was on Sirius XM this morning guest hosting on the morning drive. And we had Jim Campbell from Chevrolet. We had David Wilson racing development and both of them talked about this. New topic as relating to the gen seven because Mark rush. Burke, afford has also talked about this since January that the gen seven car. You know, there's been a lot of focus on what's going to look like body wise and the relevance and all that. But they apparently are going to build in capability for hybridization and it's not going to happen in two thousand twenty one when the car allegedly will roll out, but David Wilson said today, it's not a matter of if it's when for hybrid style technology in Cup cars, rush. Brooke says, hey we're not saying it's cross the board. It could be you look at it for I don't know how this would work because then you're talking about you in engine programs, but he was kind of hinting at all maybe you do summit road, courses you do different ones on ovals. It was interesting. All of it. So the Parker Cooperman perspective, as we're talking about relevance of manufacturers production cars to racing and you're right. Like there's not as much as there used to be at all. But now we're talking about hybrids hybrids being a place that manufacturers are going with streetcars and how that relates to race cars and, and can't it too. Some degree. Well, I want to preface by saying, I drive a Toyota and Toyota does a lot for me our race team. So I very pro whatever Twitter said. Dave Wilson, he's very smart, man. And we smart do. We're very, very behind TRG and everything. They want to do. No, but I, I'd say, look, there's a story I recently read, and it was one of the higher ups at Renault f one team. Right. And Renault is a midfield if one team right now because they refuse to spend as much money as for our immer Sadi's yet they know there's a marketing benefit to being enough one. And therefore, they, you know, run to their budget, and they hope over their five year plan from I know they did that Netflix Stockman. She that over the five year plan eventually or closer to the front, and they can run at that budget level racing for a championship while, the higher ups, there said he had an interesting conversation, he was, you know, they they do a lot of these gals and things. And he was at some place, champagne caviar pry. And we're discussing with this group of the sponsors, potential sponsor about F one thing, the guys, you know, I love fully..

"Charging thirty five or forty bucks anybody interested and lo and behold, I got in dated with emails. When can you come from a guy's perspective? You even know what a blow out is not really not fully. I have a visual of what's happening, and I know everyone's really happy afterwards. That's all you really need to do. Well, it's like when a girl goes and gets her haircut or color, you know, he find out that is okay. I mean, I don't know what guys know completely. So when she's done, you know, her hair looks like almost like red carpet, ready like she has this like, you know, like supermodel kind of hair. What what we did was basically say, okay, we're going to skip all the cut and color part of it, and we're just gonna come in, wash your hair and just do the stylings. Mark rush. Yes. Okay. Let me ask you this question. Why? Why was there such a demand for it? Why didn't they just do this at salon? Very good question. So if you think back to like our grandmothers and grandmothers grandmother's generation, you know, and there's references in movies and stuff. We're like, women got their hair coughed and like big beehives and all that stuff. They wouldn't touch it for a week. If you ever liked talk to your grandmother, whatever by the, she'll tell you this. So I also back to growing up in south Florida. I went to beauty school in south Florida, and I used to work on all these little old ladies who had like four hairs but wanted tons of volume. And so they used to tell me stories like that. They used to get their hair done once a week at the beauty parlor, and then they wouldn't touch it. And then it was like their ritual. And they would go to the beauty parlor. So against talking about things that I learned all that during all my years that I didn't realize I learned that was definitely one of the things. So I think what you know what happened. I guess somewhere along the line, you know that behavior that those women used to do like just went away and and so it became like you can you know, salons, regulars traditional salons offer blowouts, but they they charge a lot for them. So they'll charge like sixty seventy eighty a hundred bucks. If you go to Vegas and you go to a hair salon, you're easily paying a hundred and fifty bucks for just about honestly don't know, except for the except my own. My best guess is that you know, because especially in places like LA New York, like you know, a hairstylist a really good hair stylists can get like three hundred dollars or more for a haircut, same with highlights three, four, five, six, seven. I mean, I, you know, I know here says charge eight hundred dollars for haircut, which is I know it's insane..
