"Maybe you watch that race, but you didn't get to see motive to a over three. You want to listen to the post ratio Peter had an idea and I think it's totally something we can fix I'm sure that what I can do is can either make notes as do the show or get like a little APP timer on my phone or something like that and I can mark the segments off, and then I'll post in the description where each. Each of the race discussions start. That was kind of his idea there. He thought. Maybe we could put it on patriotic and we do that, although it can also probably just put it in the general description where each section starts, I don't think speaker allows me to mark off places like that like soundcloud does, but I'll check on that one way or the other I can also put some audio in between each one as well so I can give you times and then throw a. A little bit of audio, maybe fifteen seconds or something in there that way makes it easier to find out where those discussions really start. Oh, I, hear the Music Okano the neck sections coming up in than it doesn't spoil anything, so don't feel bad about bringing that up. And that's why we have the discussion on facebook and on read it, so you guys can tell me about stuff like that and and I will say that by design I. Wait as long as I possibly can. Can on Sunday the put up. Those Post Ratios Sunday night here on the US west coast to give you as long as possible to watch as many of the races education, but I understand 'em with motor GP. It's really easy to get number one, and that might be all you have time for on Sunday and saying wait until Monday or Tuesday. As long as you come back as long as you promised to come back and listen to the Motoo Moto three discussions on the post. Post ratio that yeah, let's do it. I don't want to send you away. Though, and have you ever come back? pistol Pete wanted to talk looping background and Marquez a little bit, and I know that we spent some time on him, but we can. We can talk a little bit more pistol. Pete wondered at what point do injuries start to have a cumulative effect on a rider like Mark Marquess, and that's a very good question when it's very hard to answer because it does. Does happen to everyone eventually I mean it's very rare for a motor GP writer to retire, and have it not be linked in some way or another to an injury, and even more rare for a rider, not to have a major injury that ultimately affects their overall performance I mean mcadoo in his leg forced him out of the series for Kevin, Schwantz it was his rest Casey. Stoner had a lot of stuff going on in general, but there's no question that his injury near the end. End of two thousand twelve helped make that decision quite a bit easier. mark obviously at that point yet I mean I don't think for a second that the fear here or the net result of Mark's injury on Sunday is going to be thoughts of retirement, or even leading them down that path, especially knowing that he didn't suffer any nerve damage and that the surgery went well and that he's going to get better quick, but that wasn't pizza question. Pete's question was focused on performance. While Mark Seems Superhuman at times. While most of the time, he is vulnerable in this area, and it's everybody is, and it's GonNa. Be Very interesting to see what affect Advani. This accident has on him in terms of overall performance, and you have to kind of take it into chunks. There's the short term implications performance. Hey, I'm getting better. I'm not one hundred percent yet mostly those are. Are Physical things to overcome then there are the longer term once which sometimes are physical, but also sometimes our mental blocks on performance because let's face it. Mark has had riding related medical issues up until now means had the shoulder injuries, and of course as many surgeries to along with those shoulder injuries, but even though those injuries came about as a result of wrecks EMOJI P. They weren't ones that kept him out of racist hell. He was able to entire championships. Despite those shoulder injuries, he could wait until the end of the season. Have them worked on and then come back but up. Until this point he had never had a wreck in Modo GP that kept him out of a race or broke a major bone. Until now, and that was the challenge that I kinda referred US quotes there the challenge that I kind of referenced on the Post Race Show, because when you're young, and you're fearless, and you fall, and then you get right back up and you hop right back on the bike. It only reinforces that fearless attitude like we talked about earlier, but when you fall in something happens where you can't just hop back up and get back on the bike then suddenly. You don't feel quite as invincible anymore. You have a little more awareness of your own mortality, and that's not a good thing. emoji motor GP. I mean I would argue and this is just my opinion. I'm sure there were people would disagree, but I would argue the Valentino. Rossi wasn't quite. The same wasn't quite as fearless. After he broke his leg Misano, he had had injuries before that, but that one I think was the one that's kind of a little bit of a turning point for him, and you can see that borne. Borne out in his results before and after that injury, and yes, I understand how plays a part in that and age plays a part in that as well, but the injuries definitely do also play a factor. Lorenzo almost when as far as saying I'm afraid to get on the Honda. It because I think it's GonNa throw me off. I'M GONNA get hurt the same bike that mark has complete and total faith him right well. Lorenzo also had injuries the past couple of seasons before that. That forced him to sit out. Dany Pedrosa did a fantastic job of hanging in there at the end of his career, but I would say that by the third time he had to sit out with a fractured collarbone can totally see season's worth of results that weren't quite as good as those that came before all of those injuries, and you could argue I'm just confusing correlation for causation, and you might be right about that, but I mean seriously if you keep falling off the bike. Bike and hurting yourself seriously, you're gonNA start to think about falling off the bike and hurting yourself seriously so I think that the mental aspect of big wreck like that can be just as important as the physical aspects especially when it comes to the potential impact on long term performance, because the difference between the best and the also rans. Emoji, P is so small that you have to be able to use every single advantage possible, and if just one of your tolls isn't a sharp. It.

"And. That's a bit odd. Seeing as Qadi appeared dead set on dumping Nilo especially in the second half last season almost as dead set as they seem to be on dumping doping himself but the thing is what they don't like a whole lot about Petrucci performance and where he's at in his career right now agewise he more than makes up for by being massively cheap and for some odd reason do. Kadett considers that to be a bargaining chip that they can hold over Andrea. Its IOS head to try to get him to sign for less money because they can always say well. We have another option and this other option costs. You know a fifth of what we're offering you so if you don't WanNa do I would just go with this guy over here and that is where the drama may come in here for do Khadi and honestly if I'm taking a step back from the situation. I can see the viewpoint from both sides here because Dobie course has all kinds of justification to ask for a big contract. I mean after all. He's only finished second in the championship. The last three season straight won twelve races during that stretch and has been the only rider capable of regularly challenging mark marquess mean. Yeah Fabio. Did it a couple of times last year but over those three years nobody else has been able to do. A dove been able to do in terms of taking the fight. The mark does it Pale. In comparison to what mark's been able to do sure but nobody else has come as close as doe V at all and so he's clearly the second best writer in the sport so should he not have the second best salary in the sport. I'm sure that's the argument that he's making but from coty standpoint. They're looking at a two year contract with a writer. That's already thirty four years old and while he's been credibly competitive over the last three years for sure and he's been the only rider to consistently take the fight to mark he hasn't been able to beat mark and for a writer of his age. And we've talked about these statistics multiple times before on the show. Those statistics say that him being thirty years old. He's not going to be able to win a championship. Which means he's not going to be able to beat mark and as great as he has been he'll be thirty six at the end of the new contract and it's GonNa get harder and harder each year and so I can see do coty being a little bit uncertain about throwing massive amounts of money at him or any writer in that position for that matter but to. Kati does have to be careful here because like we talked about earlier. Ktm does have the money and they may have less reservations and they may be interested in dovy and if they are then. That's the other thing that Takata has to ask themselves if they bring in Doe v the chances that they're going to go out there and beat mark pretty slim but if they put a Truchi on the bike with not only are their chances of beating. Mark even slimmer but their chances of winning multiple races are slimmer as well and are they really prepared at that point to just save the money and go with Miller and protrude with Danilo being there number one now. I don't know the answer to that. I know what I would think. I would rather have dovy on the bike and have some sort of reassurance that we can go out there and win races mainly so consistent even though I don't think he's going to beat mark at least he's going to be in the mix at least he's going to erase his and at least you know is going to bring positive attention to your bike and your company. You don't know what you get at all from Danilo but this is definitely proved that even though the major players most of the major players already signed for Marquez. You know we know what's going to happen with Rossi. Maverick Fabio Quattro Both of the Zouqi riders. They're all locked up but even with all of that already done there. May there may still be some silly season drama yet and big surprise that drama may very well indeed involved. Do Men's. There's nobody else left other than M. and do coty and then a little bit of a premium so the other side of that coin with Miller presumably going to factory to Qadi and let's assume that he is that Dan a see at pray Mac now. Gp One dot COM points to where he martinez their top candidate. And we've heard divy day tar out. Crt say that he is definitely a writer at the top of their list. So that makes sense and if if they could get him. I mean that would be a fantastic choice. It'd be fantastic. If for antibody a motor. Gp who gets who Martine. He improved so rapidly at the end of last season and even though he was eleventh in the Motorcycle Championship. I don't think I don't think it's too soon at all for MotoGP teams to seriously be interested in the seriously. Consider him but that is a big. If do Khadyka get him because like we talked about just a few minutes ago Martinez in that. Ktm system and with KTM's current philosophy of keeping as much in house as possible. They may not be willing to give up easily. And I'm not sure that if he doesn't want to spend the money on it the also right now that they're not going to want to get into a bidding war with overhaul. Hey Martine. Either in the complicate matters even further as far as to cody is concerned. Here's also good rumors that Honda might be interested in Horny Martinez well. And can you imagine? Can you imagine a team of Mark? Mark has and Martine. That would be some exciting stuff. That would be something I would love to see. Of course you know if Honda were that serious. And we're able to make a play for Martine that that means that Alex Marquez could be an option for Dakota as well to head over the prima cliff. Honda wanted to go in one of multiple directions of whether it be Martine or Polo spago but to cardiac be careful there as well because if to. Kati starts to hedge a little bit and they start to panic a little bit and they say well. We don't know who we're GonNa get so let's aggressively make a play for Alex Marquez early. They do that too early. They can actually shoot themselves in the foot because they may want dovy or they may want someone like. Hey Martine hell they even went police spago but if they go after Alex Marquez a safety backup and Marquez. Yell do this with they could be responsible for creating the whole at Repsol Honda that then either gets filled by Martin or it gets filled by SPAGO therefore opening up a sita tecate. Crm and then came on all that rebel money goes off in the get Andrea David Co so and now Dakota locked themselves out of keeping dovy if they wanted him for twenty twenty one. So there's definitely they've painted themselves into a corner is what I'm trying to say. And so it might not be high drama now for the folks that do Khadi because there still is that very good possibility that they put down a number that dovy likes he signs and then we just continue on you know as normal but they could end up in a situation where were talking about them being out there twisting in the wind trying to find a rider at the last second to be their number one guy and that's never a position you want to be and is a motive. Gp team is looking for your number one factory rider at the last second with no real good options available. So we could. We could have a little bit of decoding drama coming up right last story in this section of the news. No Wild Cards for twenty twenty and I think we talked about this in passing on the last show. Maybe we didn't of adorn officially did put the Kabosh on all wildcard entries for the two thousand twenty season. That is a little disappointing because it definitely means that we will not get to see her. Hey Lorenzo in race on a Yamaha this year and despite all the controversy that we were just talking about I know I wanted to see what he could do back on a factory SPEC Yamaha even if it was only for a racer too and I'm sure a lot of other people did too but I can totally see the reasoning behind this because the wildcard means to extra bucks per rider it means all the extra personnel and crew for that Ryder Spare parts consumables all of the associated people in costs that go with it and in a year where everybody is concerned about budget and in a race atmosphere. We're having the least number of people. Possible is the ideal situation is the most likely way you're GONNA get racist scheduled and everybody safe and everything approved. It's difficult to argue that hunting. Wildcards doesn't serve multiple purposes here. It does but even case as open as shut as that is not completely immune from some good old fashioned motor. Gp Drama Because mckelway Piero for whatever reason actually said in an interview this week that he thinks the no wildcard role could have been pushed along by Honda specifically to punish Lorenzo in not allow him to race. This year on Yamaha now. I do like his spirit and trying to start a little bit of controversy but I really think that this is a complete non story. Alberto push has already commented on it. I believe it was yesterday. He commented and he said he finds it quote a shame and quite inappropriate for Perot to say and you know. That's a pretty reserved comment as far as Berta push is concerned but he's also correct. I don't know where mckelway Pirro is. Getting this from my. I mean when you think about that relationship between Honda and horror. He'll Lorenzo. I mean everybody knew about halfway through the season the things were not going well and that it may not have been the best match but despite that Honda offered Lorenzo every opportunity to do what he wanted. They let him decide whether he would continue am race out his contract or whether he would retire. Now I don't know what happened behind. Closed doors maybe. They pressured him a little bit. Maybe they didn't. I don't know that but what we all do. Know is that they freely let him out his contract and let him out of his contract obligations for the second year to go work for Yamaha and we know that they didn't have to do any of that and himself said that. Honda was very respectful through the entire process. So why why would that be? Why would the wildcard thing? Why why would that be the place? Where Honda draws the line in the sand that they would shut down wildcards for everybody just to prevent her. Hey Lorenzo from riding in a race especially when it also prevents their own test rider. Stefan brattle from doing the same exact thing for them. I mean if they really had it out to stop Lorenzo from competing on a Amaha then they would have held him to the terms of his original contract and not let him go to Yamaha until the end of twenty twenty in the first place because that would have been the way to get back Lorenzo and not have it negatively affect them as well and everybody else in the paddock. I mean they.

"The history of motor GP for one of the most dramatic finishes of the Marc Marquez era. And if you have not seen that race that two thousand fifteen Dutch t t and you don't know what I'm talking about then get yourself to YouTube. After after the show, of course, but get yourself to YouTube, and Google ads in two thousand fifteen Rossi Marquez epic epic battle. So it all marks average MotoGP finish asset one point eight three. So even though he may not come across like the two-wheeled titan. He doesn't places like Saxon ring or Austin. He is just as dangerous. And he is just as much of a threat, and he is the writer to beat this weekend. Of course, the guy most interested in chasing him down and taking away that title of favorite writer in this race. Andrea, if it's yo, so who after losing points in both of the last two races desperately needs a strong bounceback at a place that really isn't suited that much to either him or the Dakota in general. But there are some fast sections here where he can utilize the GP nineteenth horsepower in breaking ability at least a little bit, and they focused on turn in and make corner speed quite a bit in the Catalunia test last Monday, which should pay off this weekend. Plus while this may not be the best track for Dovy. It's not as. Bad as it looks for him because while Andrea has never won the Dutch TT. He has finished on the podium here three times. But get this, he finished on the podium three times on three different bikes, a Honda, Yamaha and a Dakota and how many people can say that about any track not many people at all, and that does prove that he does get along with this place. He understands the track, and he knows how to race it. And, hey, we've seen some unexpected magic out of Dobie before at places like Machado and Cataluna over the past few seasons. That's what he's going to have to be aiming for this weekend. A little something extra a little something unexpected. And he has to hope that those improvements that he and Danilo Putra Chee made in the open tests last week were real because he needs to score. Solid podium points and time is of the essence because he can't keep giving up points to Mark marquess and hope to have a realistic chance of coming back and challenging for the title by Valencia Valentine Rossy, you know a week ago, we were having a discussion about whether Valentino should retire. And if you didn't hear that show, let's last week show, you can go back, and you can listen to my opinion on that I won't give anything away, if you haven't listened yet, and then we can have later, I am going to confidently call out the doctor as a podium candidate this weekend. There's just something special about Rossi at the Dutch t t he stood on the top step of the podium, eight eight times here and he has ten total podiums so that means that nearly every time he gets on the podium. It's because he's won the. Race. And he has this neck of using the Dutch t t to break bad stretches. I mean he had his first win back from Coty when he came back the off from Takata his first win back with Mojo was at the Dutch t t and his last win so far emoji p which, of course will be two years ago this weekend also at Asan now. I know things don't look the best right now. But remember, he is coming off a race, where he was taken out of podium contention through no fault of his own. It was not bad riding on Rossi's part am both he and his teammate were riding equally as competitive at the time. And you know, it always seems like when things like the most bleak the most desperate for Valentina Rossi Asim rolls around and it flips a switch in something unexpected happens. He just seems to get a charge out of it. It's kind of like when my boss sends me to the most remote part of Minnesota. In a desperate attempt to keep me from talking racing with you guys. It's somehow manages to inspire..

"To go through all of that and come out on top after such a daring move and then a brilliant lap under intense pressure. I mean, not only does that make the win all the more emotional and satisfying for Petrosky, but it certainly is deserved of immense respect. I mean you take win any way you can emoji P. I don't think anybody's going to take, you know, take credit for a win away from a guy who won interim race or any other way. But everybody wants to get their first win. Exactly the same way that Patricia did. I don't care what they say me. And if you want your first race, because guy right in front of you. It's still a huge deal. It's still a huge moment to celebrate. Right. But every single one of those riders when they come to Moto GP when they closed their eyes. At night. And they dream of the way they want to win their first race. What we just saw Mugello is exactly what they're envisioning, and it's very rare that it actually happens that way, it was intense, it show, pure, heart and determination on Danilo is part, and certainly my hat is off to him. Congratulations. And we don't need to have a discussion about team orders either. Because those obviously didn't exist or else patrol. Simply didn't care about them when he saw you had the chance to win that brings us to his teammate because up until protrude she made that move in term, one, I thought for sure that Dovy was going to be the rider that finished second. Heck I was pretty certain. He was going to win the whole thing watching over the second half of the race. Because despite all of the deicing at the front, it seemed to me that Dovy was the most calm. He was the most calculated out of that group. So I was sure that he had a plan even more so than Mark who was probably at that point, thinking, okay? Protect the points. Protect the championship. I think Dovy really knew what he. Wanted to do it just all got thrown off balance. Because of what happened in term one and in a perfect world. I think he would have finished at least second. He just got the worst end of that term one deal and that gave Mark enough daylight. And of course, all you need to give Mark is a little bit of daylight so he shot to second turned his focus toward a last ditch effort to go after protruding and in all honesty, even though Dobie still finished on the podium, even though he was very, very competitive with Mark throughout the entire race. And even though he came from what the third row to immediately be in the mix despite all of that, this for me was still the worst possible outcome. For Andrea the video. So he didn't win and he lost points to Mark marquess. I mean, sure in the grand scheme of things all is not lost. He's still only twelve points back, but it's so hard to make up points on Marc Marquez and the real opportunities are so few and far between. That's a not at least finished second here was a big hit. It. And you could tell that by dove is kind of muted enthusiasm in park for may based on where he finished Marquez, though, on the other hand, was as happy as he could be after the race because he didn't need the win. All he needed to do was minimized the dove damage, and he did a lot more than that. He gained points in the championship. So it was good as a win at attracted. He considers to be one of his worst even more than that, though. Both Mark an Honda discovered or more like confirmed that their biggest disadvantage when comparing themselves to do Qadi horsepower that disadvantages nearly gone. I mean Mark was impressively fast on the front stretch and being able to slipstream those two Qadis like he did SBA a huge boost to Honda, because that means they're going to have a much better chance to match or maybe them beat to Qadi at their own game in those all critical flyway rounds at the end of the year, which really are catered to that power vantage at the Italian bikes, traditionally have enjoyed they all have. Big straits, and those are the races. Those are the other races. I guess I should say that Dovy has circled on his calendar as here's where I'm going to claw back some space on Marquez..

"Although in motos defense, I mean the other two races set and insanely high bar to try to match, but Alex Marquez did Emoto to what Marc Marquez desperately wanted to do a motor GP when out there and just comfortably won the race. And it's the second straight victory too. So suddenly little Marquez is surging. And it's especially important right now since Lorenzo Baldo sorry missed out on the podium. Again the second race in the row. He did score points this time though he finished fourth on, and it was also nice to see LUKA Marini return to the land of the living. I mean this race is the first one of the season where he. Really shown any of that potential, that he rolled out at the end of last year, that made us all that he was going to be one of the title contenders Emoto to in two thousand nineteen. I'm in fact, this was his first podium since he won Malaysia last year on top of that he did it on a bike that looked absolutely fantastic. That trick Laurie scheme. Not only was, I think the best of the weekend, but that instantly goes on the list of nominees for the best alternate paint scheme of two thousand nineteen when we get to the end of the year and the motor week awards usually, I just reserve motor GP schemes. But I'm gonna make an exception for that motivation because it was that good looking. So the podium and this one Alex Marquez his second straight win and his second of the season Luca Marini has first podium of two thousand eighteen in front of the home crowd and nice boost for him. And the Tom Luth. He gets things back on track with his first podium in three rounds. He didn't shockingly didn't do the Tom Lucy fade, which I think, is what we need to call it now just the Luther fade. So in the championship heck who knew a few rounds ago that the motive. Championship was going to suddenly turn into this barn burner. I mean Alex's consecutive wins combined with Baldassare the sudden struggles means that he's now down to a two point lead. That's right. Lawrence O bell. The sorry only leads Alex Marquez by a pair of points. And then Luther is only four back headquartered. Hanging Varo is only what fifteen points behind him fourth, despite having a string of three straight podiums broken Mugello, even he could potentially be in the mix as well. I think he's going to have to win a racer to really be in the mix. But he's not that far behind, and yet they might have had the most boring race of the day. But I would say that Motoo by far has the most interesting title race of any of the three series right now. So motive three spectacular finish as usual, and as expected Motoo was pretty much not race. Couple of guys having a decent battle for second while somebody rides away at the front, but at least those guys had a good championship. Advocate talk about and the net, of course brought us to the big race to. Moto. GP. I mean, seriously one more could you ask for if you were going to script a race for this season, especially script the Italian GP you could not have written one, much better than what we saw Sunday afternoon. I mean maybe maybe add Valentine Rossi or hoary, Lorenzo into the mix, but that might have been the only thing that would have made this race more compelling. But I'll tell you even that was unnecessary because this weekend was all about do khadi versus Honda. Coming in. That's what we're looking forward to. And that's what they gave us. That's exactly how it all played out in spectacular fashion. We all know that Andre the video, so and do who were looking at this race, as a huge opportunity to try to take chunk out of Mark marquess. But I didn't figure it was going to be near as much of a team effort or team battle as it ended up being, and it wasn't just the race itself that made what we saw Sunday afternoon. So great it was the entire weekend. I mean, the sparring. Mark and not just dove, but all of the Decani riders started in practice and marked tried to play. Some head games. Right off the bat. He made it a point of following Andre David CO. So.

"And he needs to get back there after a couple of rounds of watching the other riders celebrate he's got to get that consistency back. That way, if the other riders do stumble, he's there to pick up the pieces, Allah, you know, Aaron connect- right now a motive three so then that brings us to Alex rinse and rinse is a bit of a wild card for me in this race. In fact, I debate and not even putting him on the favorites list at all. But in his very rocky start to two thousand eighteen Majella was one of his rare highlights he finished fifth. And so I think that merits consideration this time around, because it can build off that momentum. Now, the downside this time is that he's coming in off his worst finish of the season. But the upside is that he is still supremely confident in his and the bikes. And this Zouqi has a lot to offer up at this track with great agility, plenty of corner speed. There are a lot of places on the track, Rick and take advantage of that. Like we've seen the past few rounds rinses Achille he'll qualifying. And this race is going to be it's going to be so critical what you do on Saturday. So both he and the team are really going to have to focus on qualifying. He can't start in the third or fourth row and spot, both the Hondas and the do Qadis all that track. And then expect to not only make that up, but make up the gap that he's going to lose on the front stretch with all their horsepower as well. So he's got to find a way to get on the front two rows. But it can land himself a starting spot near the front then he'll be in great position to get back on track as a podium contender. Then the other I'm going to be watching out for as a real contender this weekend. Danilo Petrosky and the way the Patricia is racing right now. There's no way you can't consider him to be a podium candidate or at the very least a top five rider. I mean he has yet to finish lower than six so far this season. Hopefully there's no commentator curse there but I'm not a commentator. So I can't curse him and after breaking through with that solid podium result in Lama, he's going to be bringing a lot of confidence back home to Italy where he finished top three on a lesser bike. A couple of years ago top speed definitely going to work to his advantage and he'll be writing for the team that won last season. Obviously, he's not going to be on that specific bike. I think that Dobie is obviously the stronger candidate to win the race. But Patricia cheese jobs, Sunday isn't really to win. It's more about finishing on the podium and doing so ahead of Mark marquess. Thereby both helping his own cause finishing on the podium as well of that of his teammates in the title race, by making sure that Marc Marquez is at least one or more spots behind him. So those are the writers. I think had the best shot at finishing on the podium Sunday, but also have a pretty decent length list of other otters. I'm going to be watching out for and that list. "So was eleventh and Valentine Rossi seventeenth is we'll find out in a second here when we talk about all the teams in the routers, and what they worked on those guys didn't run a time attack. Heck Marquez not only them run a time attack. You packed up. A couple of hours early and went home. I guess he had a teatime timer dinner date or something he had to make it to so take all those with a grain of salt because. Not everybody was really going after it. And as we'll talk about here right now, some teams and riders were working on brand new parts, others were just simply working on settings those riders that working more on settings were obviously going to have faster times because they weren't trying to you know, work out the kinks. They were trying to hone what they had done over the race weekend with that same exact equipment. So what did the teams work on? We're going to start with Suzuki. Normally we would start with Honda here. And then move on down the list, you know, to Qadi and Yama. No, no, we're going to start with is if they get top billing for me for this test for one simple reason, I'm sorry. I hit the mic there was just a little excited. But the reason is because they came up with the most fantastic word ever to describe the scoop that they put on the bottom of their swing arm that they were of course, testing and harass it officially from this point four will be named the swing lit. I love it. They put it up on Twitter that way too. They literally said here is our swing lit. And they rolled out the first attempt at a swing lip for the test. It looked super fat and very chunky. And it seems to stick down really really far. But of course, nowadays, all you have to say is that it's for cooling, and you can do whatever you want. You can put a giant spoiler on the back of the thing as long as you say it's for cooling. Everything's fine. Go him run it, obviously, it's not for downforce. Because you said it wasn't you provided a very official. Looking documents thing was for cooling only. Now, the only downside for Suzuki is that they barely got a chance to see what their fancy new swing lit with do because Alex Ren's ran off track straightaway and damage the new part and the gravel trap. So they didn't get any good data because it kind of got bent down. Although Al maybe that's why looked like it was ticking down so far in the picture. Maybe that was after he messed it up beforehand, and Alex said that he liked it better. Once he messed it up because, you know, sticking down further there'd be more aero-dynamics effect on the non aero dynamic part. I mean, more cooling effect. So there was more cooling effect on the rear tire as it was sticking down far far superior cooling. And that that's what he said, you know, he felt the most improvement from not any kind of downforce from. It ruins also said that sukey who is using a brand new swing arm in conjunction with their spoon. Winglets swing lit thing. And that they chose not to participate in the time attack at the end on soft tyres electing instead to focus more on consistency race pace as opposed to all out lap time. And I suppose that's good overall. But give him rinse his struggles in qualifying this year. Maybe they should have worked on. And I'm a little bit surprised that they didn't take the opportunity to also work on a great one lap setup for the bike heading in the lemon, knowing what kind of difference it could ultimately make for them in their fight with Mark marquess for his part rookie, Joey Amir did not test the swing lit or the swing arm that goes along with it. Instead he opted to work on the current bike to improve breaking points, turn in frontier issues. So. Oh, basically settings electronics things like that. But they weren't the only ones that brought new stuff for the test. In fact, Honda brought all kinds of new goodies for their riders to try out. Really I step on brattle..

"We know DACA was run there in the last couple of seasons on. Yeah. I said possession there and twenty eighteen so fabric wanted out of said pull possession of Herat. He's got a Yamaha great bike great team. He could get on. He may actually go on to win the race. And I would probably put some money on the least finishing on the podium. Yeah. I we all think I think he's good enough to win this year. Well, he did at hard to say because we know had good writers could be in the rookie season for the opening few rains and then met season they make all Orion lotto bet and then towards season make them get again about legs uncle that in twenty seventeen. So you're learning from me, then just. Fake and protect to what they'll crash from the lead. Yeah. They will. We always is to be. Yeah. Okay. Did you say is heartbreak because while he was in taste poor kit. A shame bought gift thing as he's going to be here for a long time. He's going to be one of the future stars Marquez. He's he seems like a nice lot. I don't know him. Yeah. He does. He does after the star of the early years where he I think it was the people around them and made them no no-one warm to him as well. But nowadays is could pull different cat seems really nice. So it'd be great to see that the distance and challenge Marquez Botvinnik Fennell is the lakes Yuan MIR I rent for the Trump ships in the future and to be fair the person they could maybe one day replace at the most team Valentino Rossi one day. We never know when volunteer Rossi is gonna retire kit before he takes years old for all. We know Kizzie as performing is all nine points off the championship lead is maybe enforced sports, but was basically damage-limitation weekend for him started to thirteen finish sick wasn't too bad considering that he was waiting for most of the race. It was only towards the end of the rest of they start coming through the field. And he puts it then to possibly going for the heart tire when he could have gone for the medium like maverick bananas. Because finale showed a good turn of speed towards the end of the race. Which? Meant Rossi could have done the same thing. If you start them to meet him, but he went for the heart frontier and amend. It was a little bit more difficult for him to make a good star star. If it was medium s spots, maybe kid wherever and may have gone differently. Well, it's like place cells into well Rossi's, come out. And he says he must win and beat Marcus to get a shot at the title, which is surprising in that. He still thinks he can have a proper shot and beat Marcus on on on his form the title. Yeah. Two before me Markelle is on has form. Even Mark Mark. Mark marquess hasn't unformed. "If you're a fan of a rider, and they haven't won in that length of time, you're going to be pretty excited about the idea that you're going to get the witness that you're going to be there at the race where the streak was broken. So I think that was most of what we heard was just that general gasp from the crowd that. Oh my gosh. I can't believe Marquez wreck. I mean, all of us were doing it at home. Right. And then the Rossi fans, you know, kind of realizing that at the same moment probably was about ninety eight percent of that roar that we heard from the crab. But I'm sure that there were some some. Some people need small fraction. But there were some people that probably were cheering simply because Marc Marquez wrecked. And I hope that was just a tiny portion because you know, somebody was right now, I hope that was just a tiny portion of the crab reaction because you never want to hear people cheer simply because somebody wrecked because nobody should cheer in. Oh, four guy to potentially get hurt or in a situation where a guy could get hurt. But I think what we did here on the broadcast was, you know, a product of the situation and the writer that subsequently ended up in the lead when that happened. So I think that's why there was such a strong reaction from the crowd. I don't think that that the entirety of coda was cheering because Marc Marquez fell down. I think it was half shock and half realization that oh my gosh. Now Valentino Rossi is in the lead. You know, Sean said it was only a matter of time before Mark lost or made a mistake at circuit of the Americas. And really, you know law of averages does say that you can't win every single race. No matter how good you are. Eventually it's going to come back around. And this happened to be the time for Mark marquess? But the question still remains as to why Mark went down. Now cale said that both he and Mark had problems with the front tire. And even Jack Miller speculated that Mark just pushed too hard at the beginning of the race. He overcooked the front Michelin. And because of that. Yeah, he might have been trying to back off. But he couldn't back off enough to get the temperature that frontier down, and that's what caused the wreck. Now. Of course, he was speculating cowo- speculating, the weird part is that Mark wasn't really willing to admit that himself, and we'll see when we get to Mark's comments in the second half of the show. But he really didn't blame it on the frontier he didn't blame it on anything. Really? He just said it happened, which is kind of strange explanation now Ricky on bread it.

Drink that fucker drink your breakfast. Be a champion be like a dead looks like a grandfather. Oh, God that book and killed me. You know, I swear to God of just for men actually gave a shit about men with red beards. I would have gone out and bought some if they was selling it on the plane, and I would have been quietly crying to myself as I combed into my chin. All right. Here's my question about the motor GP. I don't get what the fuck is with Marc Marquez fucking motorcycle where it's just they even call it. You know, he might just take off and this could be a boring race. And then the guy quickly correct himself not saying that it's going to be the guy just fucking. He got a good start. And he got out front and he had like a fucking fifteen second lead by the middle of the race. Or something some crazy. I don't understand why his bike is so much faster. I thought the do Qadis the do caddies we're all unlike the same level, but he just pulled away like he had the Iraq. See and everybody else had the rally sport or the Berlin Etta, you know, the Firebird versus the transam. It's the exact opposite of f one. So then the whole fucking race. The exciting part of the race was watching. Sio? So in. Valentino Rossi battling for second place. And he Mark marquess was so far out into the front. That they just had them in a little square on the upper right hand side of the Mike computer screen here while we just watched everybody else battle, and I don't understand what happened or halo Renzo. Did he pushed the wrong button? Because he's also Dr riding a Honda. And then they were all bitching about the yo sewn is little aero dynamic thing that cooled off his back tire. They thought that was ridiculous advantage. And then the very next race on this guy. Mark Mark has just takes off. And it's yo still has that thing cool in his back tire. I guess what? They should have done because it was so busy fucking with each other trying to pass each other racing. What they should have done is just accepted that the video. So wasn't second. They all got in behind each other. Like, the peleton and is said in bike racing and eventually they would cut through the wind and catch up with the guy. And then once they caught up with them, then it could be like let's start racing again is that legal to do that to actually become a team to catch the fucking guy who's already eight seconds in front. You. I don't know. And then lastly, Cal crutch slow says he got fucked on that race he got fucked. All right. He had an incredible fucking starting to the naked eye. He didn't start too soon in the fact that there's a God, damn computer. Now, like people's brains are not as good as a fucking, computer. Can't see that thing. So he doesn't always Cheney just thought he got a good fuck and start a fuck that guy over they fucked him over. All right. So they go. This is my little motorcycle talking. "You never said we couldn't use it all the time. You said it was four rain. But you didn't say we couldn't have it on when it's not raining. You know, if it comes down to that kind of technicality, then it's going to be thrown out. And that that point the rule will be clarified, and they'll say, no, no, you can only use it in the rain. That's why we mentioned it as a device to deflect water off the tire. So we'll get some sort of official ruling from the m before Argentina. Now, there's no way they could theoretically go and overturned the results of the race. There's no way that's going to happen. And that shouldn't happen for the same reason. We said before the part was approved when do khadi went out to race it. So they shouldn't be penalized for that. So really, I think that the F IM ruling is going to be based on the legality of the device the way it was used and either do cod. He's gonna have to take it off for Argentina. Unless of course, there's rain or else. They'll say, no, no the rule says you can use it whenever you want. So you can use it whenever you want in which case everybody's going to rush to the drawing board design their own similar device. Now, the closer that if I am decision is to Argentina the better for do Coty because. That means there's less time for the other teams to come up with a solution of their own. If the whole thing is approved to be used whenever you want to use it. I think that they're probably going to issue the determination this week. And so there'll be plenty of time for teams to react to it. So I would love I would love to know what you think of the entire situation. And whether you think do Coty is being very very clever, or do you think they're blatantly breaking the rules? And they know they are and that was their intent Facebook dot com slash motorway dot net. Let me know what you think. All right. So enough of the Dakota madness for now to Kathi drama. "So it all balances out in the end, right? Nights nominee, Marc Marquez vs arches heat. I told you they were heavyweights in this category. Mark has versus Argentina, you know, Mark dominated the season. And he was nearly flawless nearly. But he was sure he was certain that the one time that he did mess up that he did it Mark marquess style in a way that we would never ever forget for one rainy day in April. Mark looked a lot less like a five-time motor GP champ and alarmingly like the motor GP version of the bad news bears. Instead, he couldn't do anything. Right. He stalled his bike on the grid. Then had a bit of a walkabout on the front stretch while he was trying to get a bump started, which he did. And that was actually the most impressive part of his day. Went the wrong way on the track. And then longest bike back up. Like, it would just be okay to imagine nothing had ever happened. I came now go out and win the race that of course, got him a ride through penalty after which the real fund started as he ran his way through Alice. Spargo and was penalised the spot then figured hey the races wash. Anyway, let's go out there. And settle the score with Valentino Rossi from two thousand fifteen any bulldoze the forty six that got him docked thirty second penalty by race direction. Bouncing from would have been a very unlikely place after all that madness and capped off his trio that's already got three penalties in one mode GP race. I don't think anybody's ever done that before. And then the icing on the cake was at by actually running in the Rossi as opposed to you know, somebody else out there. He reunited the fury of VR Forty-six fans everywhere. So like I said when Mark does something he does it big whether it's winning race winning a championship or completely losing his mind in Argentina. Maybe it was the rain that affected them there. Something in the water, but we're not even done yet. Let's move onto Coty versus their own writers. And really where do we start when it comes to the Duke? Drama in two thousand eighteen and pretty much became its own on official segment on the show. There was so much of it. I'll try and condense it down to the bite size portion basically g the Lena and policy about he came into the year saying that hey, Lorenzo was there guy. It was their priority to sign him for two thousand nineteen the when Jorges started the season with a series of mistakes, lackluster, finishes, look like he was going to repeat what he did in two thousand seventeen. Well, the tune in the front office changed just like that and Dovy then became the focus with whore. Hey meeting the reportedly take a big pay cut just for the privilege of sticking round on the re bike in two thousand nineteen. Now, you toss in the fact that all of this kind of went down right around harass. And at the same time that the rumors were flying about well the team brass seemed to passively take Dobie side in that whole debacle where both do khadi riders wreck themselves out of a podium position. And it was like kind of tossing a match on. Onto a barrel of gasoline. Lorenzo and Dovy started sparring in the media things got uncomfortable behind the scenes as gee-gee tried the lobby for Lorenzo to stay. But she body wanted him to go and whore. Hey himself provided the biggest twist in this whole ordeal going from you know, he was going to retire to he was going to go to patrol us Yamaha to using the controversy as motivation to go out and score a huge win imaging low in front of the Italian fans and then in his victory press conference on his manufacturers home turf announced Elliott, by the way, I'm leaving for home the next year the.

"Certainly not the fact though is gonna crash, but just the fact that it seemed like that the Mark had a little something extra and they pulled it off. And it was a very good manage rates very great job by Marc Marquez, Dovy did everything he possibly could to get that job done. But it would just wasn't enough that day, but he knows. That they can compete, and it's a didn't things didn't happen. The way they did begin the year. Well, we had a span there five six races where Dovy was was out of the podium positions. Who knows but Mark got the job done and congratulations dam and his seventh world title, fifth motor GP, title and winning in Japan. Congratulations signed like said, congratulations do Kati to the great job. They've done and challenging down the stretch. Hopefully Jorges be back. Like, I said strong last few races cow crutch, slow and Alex rans. Great jobs. Second and third position. Looked like that Alex is gonna maybe try to challenge Cal. But as soon as Dobie fell out, and he was on that podium. He he was happy to be right there in third position. And of course, Valentino Rossi dropped back. Also wanna knowning who is right there into his crash late in the race. And I think when he got by Alex, and he kinda drug Alex along to get back up to that elite group, unfortunately, he crashed out, but it was a good right for him and a great job from the entire Suzuki team. So congratulations to them young law. Of course, didn't didn't have such a great day with Valentino Rossi fame there toward the end. Especially could see he didn't really have a challenge once Zukis came through and maverick finales. You know, we know that we normally see him when he doesn't get a good start. He puts in a late race charge. And he he made up a couple of positions, but not not what you would kind of expect. So unfortunately for them they and the team they they have some work to do. "Really as year goes on. He's had some obviously we talked about some tough weekends this year. But he had the great performance early in the year. But where he's got to improve on is is more than just that one lap pace. And he knows that any noses race pace is is weak area at this point, but he'll get stronger, and hopefully that certainly come along the laws as we we've saw yearns ARCO was rat there. He certainly come on the last couple of races to challenge the the factory guys. And he's and he's performed a little bit better as we saw in qualifying with second quick. It's time. So he's read there, and that's good for him. It certainly has got made KTM feel better and certain good about their decision to hiring for next year. And and hopefully will continue on and maintain that level performance in these last races in certain get started on his KTM adventure in the best possible light. Mark marquess going into this weekend. We know that he certainly had a chance to wrap up the ship. And there's no better place for him, obviously, home of Honda and and get that job done and biting qualifying with that crash it he had on Saturday before qualifying again early in the day. We weren't sure what was going to happen. And and everybody expected them to be on the polar. Certainly right there. Maybe second place Anita ended up in six. It was actually cow crutch slow who is strong all through practice who qualified outqualified, Mark. But they were also close if we as we've seen. So you really don't look at that. As we know we look at that race pace as the real key indicator of what's going to happen as the race begins as race goes along. So we had Dovy yawns ARCO and Jack Miller on the front row and Mark was on on the second row and. Then Valentino Rossi was all the way down and night position. And you know, we we always kind of feel that moti is a good track for free, Emma. But with their acceleration issues, whether it's electronics or whether it's tire that Mitchell is brought for that weekend is not really working working for them. They they seem to be struggling. And so we had maverick who qualified a little better than Valentino sees suspected that. Maybe he would be stronger in the race. But as we saw the rates that didn't really turn out that way. So let's get into the race as the race began. We thought well Dobie would try to get out front. Johann would be right theories usually good starter. And of course, Jag knowing that his race pace is going to be a struggle as expected that he would be strong in those beginning laps to try to get up there. And just see if he could he could hang in there. And and see what happens. But as race started Yohannan giant kind of got together which caused Johan not too good a good start. And then we saw Marc Marquez getting doing what Valentino's is done such great job. If over the years is even when he's starting third fourth row. He's always read through that first lap. I've always said trotted take advantage of that first lap when everyone is trying to get settled down to make up as many positions as you can succinctly something always tried to do.

Even though we have a bunch of timeouts shit, it's like fast forward through the commercials. It's like no fucking commercials cannot say enough about it. And for those who actually pay attention Mark marquess looks like he's going to win the championship. He's way out in front. I don't know what happened to Rossi this week. He must have had some sort of grid penalty or crashed. I don't know what, but he started in like fourteenth place, but that fucking guy is he's second in points. But as far as Marquez, one, five, this year Lorenzo's one, three zero. So has one two Marcus has been on nine different podiums. He's like on the police been on the podium every race, but to. So he's way out for like two hundred points in the next closest guys. Valentino think he has one hundred thirty one hundred forty, so it's pretty safe to save barring anything major that Marquez is going to win this again, but the show the three of them putting on is fucking it's unbelievable, and I got to go to that motor GP race. There's only one in the United States if you wanna go. And there's only one Formula one race. If you wanna see Lewis Hamilton who's going to go onto one of the greats of all time. It's an Austin, Texas, and I highly recommend it anyways. All right. Let me do. Let me do a little couple of fuckin- reads here for the week. There are right hotel tonight. All right. Tonight is hotel. Tonight is the go-to app for booking great deals at great hotels. Unlike other hotel booking sites hotel too. Not going to do that. The whole time doesn't have long endless list of zillion hotel choices instilled instead hotel. Two shows you only the best deals at the best hotels. They partner with the top rated hotels to help them fill their unsold rooms, which is how you get such a great deal. So they kind of like every other one, but they're not gonna give you his motel four and a half. They only gonna give you the best ones. And even though the name is hotel to, it's not.
