"Hi. How I was listening to. Oh, my goodness. I forget his name. The gentleman that was talking about the cove in people being re admitted to Mark Mark Lombardo, the state rap from Bill Rector. Yeah. Okay, I You know one of the things and I don't mean this in a very bad way. But in those nursing homes, there's not the best. Hair, So it's Charlie Parker is soaked. I mean, Baker is so concerned with you need to correct herself. Go ahead. See what you've done to me. You know they belong with care is superb. Okay, They don't belong back in a place where there's no Sophisticated equipment. There's no you know, emergency room like Capacity. They don't belong there. If my mother or father were in a nursing home, and he was introducing covert patients, I'd be like what Mark said I'd get them the hell out of there. Well, look at you. You remember the The health director of the state of Pennsylvania. The guy Richard Rachel Levine, formally known as Richard Levin, and they would they decided to put covert patients in the nursing homes, But before they did that, do you know what they know what they did, Joan? You know what the doctor Rachel, formerly known as Richard Levin, did. He pulled his own mother out of the nursing home that the covert 19 positive patients were going into mean? What more do you need to know? Right? If if your own loved ones you wouldn't want that. Them in the situation. You're putting other people's loved ones in right, right? And I give people credit for working in them, But I know that they're not the brother. Well, you know, there's really not the best paid and Joe just put it this way, right? They there? Hey, they don't speak English, a lot of them. Yeah, I know. That's the it zah problem and they haven't. They haven't addressed it. And, uh, you know, the nursing home operators have Paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to local politicians. I always mention the 52,002 what Charlie Parker that they've given, and that's just looking from the on the nursing home boarded Massachusetts Association or whatever they call themselves of nursing homes, looking on the board of directors and the people on the list it on the board had paid him 52,000 campaign contributions. They paid the The speaker of the house, the probably the most powerful guy in the in the Statehouse. $47,000 pay to play. Polina has gotten $35,000 idiot. Anybody who was like in the ways and means you know whether it Z. The guy from Westport that you know was caught at the buying booze in New Hampshire with 1000 named Lou. Uh, I forget God, I can't drawing a blank on his name. Well, anyway, all the guys that air ways and means Chairman. They all get tens of thousands of dollars from these people because they get the subsidies from the state and also the state could make it tough for them. If they decided to really go go after enforcing the regulations and and again are the regular Nations being enforced. I don't know. All I know is I look on that chart every day, the coronavirus dashboard and it Z. Huge. They're there. As of tonight, there are Rod 10,922 deaths in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts 10,922. We're coming up against another grim milestone. And it's an even grimmer milestone in the nursing home because it's 9940 Excuse me, it Z 60 69 6946 6946. Out of 10,922 dead. Let's see here. Jeff, You're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Jeff. Right now, we quick question as an old weapon in New Hampshire. I was wondering if I could pull one of those veterans in the nursing home said to heaven to be exposed. Live with me free until we can get church and I can put him back in there. What do you think? I don't know, Jeff, I I never heard a request like that. I don't know. If they would they would let you take somebody or not. They, you know, uh, to Congressman today in Massachusetts introduced the legislation of the federal level. It may just be sort of grandstanding. I don't know how much good it would ultimately do but supposedly to protect the people that the Holyoke nursing home if Hey, I don't know. Why don't you Why don't you give give the Give the call screener your name and number and we'll try to get somebody. Somebody in touch with you tomorrow. How? How? How much room do you have in your house? That maybe the problem. I mean, you may not have liked the so called medical facilities. You know, in case somebody is really sick. I mean, who's living with you, Jeff? Absolutely nobody. I have 10 rooms, Three bedrooms. I am well, 78 years old, but I'm healthy is a pit is the pedal and I'm willing to take any veteran that friend. That would need my assistance. I tell you what, Jeff, I don't think you're going to get me where? I don't think they're gonna let you have custody. I know you do a great job, but I don't think you're going to get anywhere. But we'll give your name and number that representative Lombardo and see if he can help you out tomorrow. Okay, So give your name and number two. What? To the call Screener, and we'll have a grace. Get the number of tomorrow morning to wood to representative Lombardo. The niece. You're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, then Ace. Yes, I am. I'm calling to see if anyone as for anything more about Lynn Woods. Lawsuit against Governor Newsome and other governors in the United States who have been prosecuting off a face masks..

"We told you last night that the Charlie Baker administration After talking about how terrible the virus was, and how unstoppable invincible it is never takes vacation, you know, will kill you starting Sunday night in a restaurant. If you don't have a mask on, it's okay though again. It's okay. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday. It's okay. But Sunday night it'll kill you. But They? This is also the administration that has control of the nursing homes in the Commonwealth, where two thirds almost two thirds of the the cove ID Deaths have occurred. On Charlie Parker's watch his responsibility to regulate these nursing homes. This is where the fatalities have occurred. And yet yesterday represented Mark Lombardo discovered that they had that the administration had decided to send covert 19 positive patients back into the nursing homes. Of Massachusetts. Even though two thirds of the fatalities I repeat have occurred in those nursing homes. There's a problem in those nursing homes. I don't know what it is, If it's Charlie Parker's incompetence or just the way things are set up, But it could be the age of the people who are dying. The average age of death is 81. And obviously, the people in the nursing homes tend to be older than average. So we weigh got a letter today or representative Lombardo got a letter today back from the Department of Public Health. He they had responded to him and tell it was in the paper this morning and the and, uh, The Boston Herald in the Lowell Sun. But he does have a he does have an answer. Now. It's well, let him explain how good he thinks of an answer. It really is. Representive Lombardo. Thanks for sending over the letter. And thanks for being with us here on the how weak our show. Thank you, Howie. The response from the administration and how I got to tell you. I didn't expect this response was that the Commonwealth and the administration As proactively developed in isolation of space policy to incentivize She was expected by nursing homes. Yeah, that that word that would jumped out at me to mark that were jumped out at me. That means they're paying them a lot of money. Right, right. So so when when we're dealing with the most vulnerable populations and the commonwealth where, um, since we last since the announcement of come out that this nursing home was going to Open up these facilities. We've now had 46 more deaths in response to a chair to still these last 48 hours in 234 more cases, so we're gonna choose those populations. Him incentivize that we put more covert patients in there. This is just madness. So some four there were 100 people died today. I haven't even checked to see Earth died yesterday. I haven't even seen to see how seeing how many were nursing home, So it's probably 35 to 42 over, maybe over 50%, but obviously half the population of the state or two thirds of the population. The state does not live in nursing homes. So if you're in a nursing home, you were much more likely to die. So why would that the state want to put More people who are covert 19 positive into these places that have already been turned into death houses. Well, according to the secretary, it is to create to prove avoid a bottleneck. Anyone setting Holly on do that, as you and I both know the Commonwealth holds the health and safety about residents as its first priority, and you have to meet special criteria. In your facilities to be able to to house covert patients. Well, the data would suggest that they're failing at this how we were nearly 7000 deaths. In our nursing homes. And you know, I was doing some research today. How about 15,000 beds available in the Commonwealth? Today we have about 1500 just over 1500 probing hospitalization. Such about 10% of our capacity is taking covert beds. So at our peak, though, we had about 3900. So we are 20% of our peak for hospitalizations. And yet we chose This facility and Lowell, Massachusetts to put 10 covert bends to put those patients and after some of the at risk on the risks. Deemed farm or great than the actual result of having 10 beds. With all this capacity available in the common law is the masses and that up Well, Another thing is, you know, we were talking on the one you discover his willow manner and Lowell, but apparently, according to the stories in the Herald in the Sun today, there's a least six other nursing homes that have been have been recorded accepting these patients. Listen, This is what this is Another interesting sentence in in the letter through the creation of this dedicated capacity we have We avoided having to take more drastic measures such as requiring all and then that's underlined. All nursing homes to admit covert positive residents, as was done in other states. Well, I mean, isn't it agrees it. Agreement is, Don't we all agree that it was a disaster for for these other states that, like New York to y to have taken taken toe have nursing homes required to take covert positive residents is she's saying that the option is we'll put him in all of the nursing homes and infect all the nursing homes. That's a that's a crazy statement, isn't it? I wasn't sure if the response that I was supposed to give with a thank you, Right? Like like I'm being done a favor by only choosing certain nursing homes. I mean, you know, I say that in jest, I get it. But the way this is worded it It well could be worse. I mean, what you're doing is is baddest as can be. I mean, these highly regulated nursing home. The long term care facilities are at the epic center of our deaths in the Commonwealth. Oldest populations are most vulnerable populations are in these places, and they're dying in the commonwealth, choosing to put more people in them and we should be grateful. I know..

It's called Cure the streets cure the streets. It was launched by D. C attorney general. I guess he's like the D a Karl Racine to reduce gun violence by treating it as a disease. Sure. Yeah. Treating it as a disease that could be interrupted and stopped from spreading. Okay, So there's this guy named Cody win. He was a supervisor in the in the organization and secure the streets. And he's an ex con with an extensive rap sheet who served a decade in prison before he was hired to beat in the hacker Gramma. His record. This public servant includes felony murder, first degree murder possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and the strip distribution. Of a controlled substance. Uh, five days ago, he was arrested. And charged with second degree murder. Well armed He fatally shot a 53 year old man in 2017 in northeast Washington. And I guess while he was on the lam, or whether, after he committed that crime, the attorney general of the Sea posted a A finding profile of him. On his website. This is the guy the convicted murderer who's now been charged again with murderer When observing Cody at work, You see a respected professional, ah loving father and devoted friend and a pillar. She's a registered nurse, and she works at some of these nursing homes that Mr Parker is in charge of and overseas and she told him that if we don't get a hold of this And we don't sterilizing disinfectant, Do the things and clean up your nursing home. There's going to be that thing's happening down the road really basic. And look what's happened. You know, he probably data makes everybody else now, like I don't know what you're doing. But, you know, I happen to own a small business and I'm just out of work. And this goes to prove that You know what she said? What this guy said was unbelievable. No. You know, Nancy, we just got a letter from Mark Lombardo. They finally gave him a response. The state rep from Bill Record, He asked, Why you sending these people these covert 19 positive people back to nursing homes, and he got a response today and we'll we'll we'll try to get him on the show at the top of the next hour, but basically Mary Lou Sutter's the public Public health commissioner secretary. Whatever the hell she is, she has she has an honorary Ph. D from Bridgewater State. So you know, she's she's top of the line public health. She could be at Harvard Medical School if he wasn't in the hacker Gramma. She She sent him back something and she said that well, we only did this so that we didn't have to weigh offered an incentive to these nursing homes to take over 19 patients so we wouldn't have to send them toe all the nursing homes like the other states dead. Uh huh. I father that we had learned a lesson that may be the best place for people who test positive is not a nursing home any nursing home And why are we setting up these field hospitals? The last time they saw field hospitals? They didn't even use him just like one more than use them in New York City. But now they're sending them back into the nursing homes and making it sound like it's a really good idea. And, oh, by the way, they incentivized the nursing homes to take in the cove in 19. Positive patients, so they so they getting extra dough to bring them in. Okay? Sure. We'll talk with Mark Lombardo about this A top of the hour if we can find him, Thanks for the call Nancy. Steve, You're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Steve. Hi. Hi. How you doing? Yeah, I'm glad the list for the Texas lawsuit is up to 17. Have you heard anything about Kentucky? Because they were on earlier list and there, I think they might have been considering it. No, that's that's a good point. Some people are saying that all the other states that trump carry they should be involved in this suit, too. And you have in Kentucky that attorney general who was roundly criticized for for not exactly clearing the Louisville police. But he said that there was justifiable and that you know that woman, Briana Taylor was being used as a human shield by her drug dealing boyfriend. He took a lot of crap. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kentucky joined the suit, though That's a good point those state thanks for the call. Uh, by the way, could the could the mother of what's his name? Cory. Coty. When could he could she be reached for comment about her son but convicted murderer who's now charged again with murder. He's a good boy. A very good boy. We can all agree on that. "Amazing pole if it's accurate today from U Mass. Lowell, saying that Mr Frost. The Ed Markey has opened up a 12 point lead on Joe Joe Joe Kennedy. Not sure I believe it. But it's Now that would be the end of an era the end of an era. So there is a Republican primary, though for the Senate next Monday, and early voting is going on now, as you probably know, and it's going to go on through Friday. So most of places a lot of places in the state. I think maybe most even are open. Through Friday, or you can vote on Tuesday again and the tour. There's a there's a Republican primary and were joined by one of the candidates right now, Kevin O'Connor. And he's a He's a lawyer. And Kevin. How you doing? Audio? You very good. Hope you're I helped. This phone is okay. I'm not sure about that. Can you hear me? OK? Yes, it is just a loan. Okay, we'll just we'll try to do it. Friday. Try telling a callback callback. Kevin, where should we get a better connection? 844 542 42. This is ah, You know, there's a There's there's a reason why you have to have another candidate. Ah, powerful candidate in there because whoever wins the Democratic primary, a lot of the people are going to be pretty angry about it. And so you know, I I don't know how much of a chance Kevin O'Connor would have. But we need a strong a fairly strong candidate and there to hold the hold these guys feet to the fire. So we wanted to talk to Kevin, if we could if we get him lined up 84 for 542 42. 9978 are not five await. I love how Baker detaches himself from any responsibility of the business is suffering and failing howto BZ and Cvb and Fox 25 Let him get away with it. I don't know. I don't know how he gets. Okay. Kevin, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Can you hear me? Yeah, that's better. That's better. So, Kevin, why should people Why should people vote for you in the Republican primary on Tuesday or in the early voting the next couple of days. Because I'm the conservative Republican, and I'm the fighter. I'm the one who's going to defend the police, not defund the police. I'm the one who's going to oppose open borders. I'm the one who's going to keep our economy open. And strong. So do you want to? Do you agree with Charlie Baker that the economy should be just basically still shut down, Or would you like to open it up? I mean, we we have the highest. As you know, we have the highest unemployment rate in the country and the third highest death rate, So whatever he's doing, it is it's not working. Yeah. Which we should be opening up the economy. I how I'm a fan of Dr Scott at list. Yes, and hired by the Trump Administration. He's phenomenal, and I would urge people listen to him. His whole orientation is on protecting the vulnerable populations. And opening up two kids in school on school. It's public schools for kids to a public school age, and I want them to go back to school as soon as possible. So what would you tell the governor if you could speak to him right now? Because the the people they're gonna be voting in this primary is you know Kevin are not too happy with Charlie Baker always wrecked the economy, and he's also not done too good. A job of protecting senior citizens. Well, I think we need to open up the economy. I shutting down restaurants limiting the activity. I think as we've gone way too slow, and I think it's it's reflected in the job rate. I mean, the numbers are what the numbers are with the lowest unemployment rate in America. It would certainly don't now so I want to open up. Okay. Where can people go to learn more about your campaign, Kevin? It's koc percent of dot com. Koc for senate dot com. And so have you been? Who have you been endorsed by? Have you been endorsed by anybody we know They're Bob Headwind, Geoff deal. Uh, yeah. I mean, I have a long line of endorsement. Those are people. We would know Mayor Hedlund from Weymouth. He said. He was a great senator for many years and I did a lot of good work. And Geoff deal was a very right Ryan Batmen. Ryan fad men from from the West from Worcester, the state senator. Who else? Mark one Bardo. Mark Lombardo, one of the most conservative wraps. He's from Bill. Rika. So you pretty much you got a pretty good, uh, pretty good cross section of the conservatives. Eso So you're you're endorsed by deal by whereby, Hedlund. Bye Bye, Lombardo For Bill Rika. Bye. Orion. Fat, mundane moister. Who else? They did the coast. They've the coast. Another very conservative guy. He's the guy that's been leading the fight against the TC. I the doubling of the gas tax. You're against the doubling the gas tax. I assume cabin, right? Yes. Yes, sir. Absolutely. Okay, So you want people to get out and it's the there aren't a lot of great primaries in either party. To be honest with you as you know, but you're asking Independence toe. Pick up the Republican ballot. The vote for you, right? Yes, absolutely, absolutely. September 1st. Okay. Who would you prefer to run against Mr Frosty or Joe Joe Joe Kennedy? Well, I just got a photo at a at a at an ice cream parlor. So I got my hat on stupor, So I'm ready to go. You have a twin? Do you have the twist? I always liked the twist. Soft ice creams. I I'll come to your truck. It's that of Mr Frosties if.

I'll be better at two weeks and I'll be immune I mean. They didn't need to watch planned. Democ in Berry to decide not to wear the masks right. You're not obese. If you're not old you don't have to and the idea that you should wear outside. They came up with new rules in. La and you know. Obviously the mayor said we're GONNA stay shut down for three months which is madness. But they came up with the beach rules. Did you see these yesterday? Rules at the beach. Not about the Oh you can't swim right and you're allowed to run and walk but you can't stand still you can't sit down and you have to wear a mask so people in La if they're gonNA follow the rules. Have to swim with masks on not masks like scuba masks that Jerry. That doesn't seem to me. That doesn't seem and when you get out of the Water. There's no loitering allowed. You got to start running somewhere. Doesn't matter where you have to move just running. Plays you stood. There sat there that there was some danger. Maybe that's a good thing because we haven't started that public health initiative that we should have started during this process. Or maybe that's the start of this whole thing two old right and according to the law he asked away or out. No thought of putting a mask on this child in him somehow consenting to it have they ever met a two year old boy like are they insane do they. I think it is funny. I want not that yet. I want to give the look of the skulled. Those parents that have their four five year olds with masks. Because they're idiots. I think we're learning a lot to this. Let's be honest. Lessons will remain for us to our lives and beyond a elected leaders of frigging morons. They're just dumb. They're just ignorant they don't care about the science they don't care about the facts they care about power and they love showing up every day flexing their muscles and make people do something that makes no sense. We're learning that without a doubt and we're learning that they're you know the these people lost some people. Don't mind living in a police state. They don't mind being told what to do. It doesn't have to make sense. They don't mind like what have you say I'll do curfew. I'm in but RENA curfew for was curfew to a virus. Doesn't matter just tell me to do it. I'll do with. I don't know if that holds true forever but it's still nine weeks in around where I am at the city. There are so many people that are I was walking my dog yesterday and a guys running towards me and he has no mask because he's running and I think he's a normal guy grabs. His shirt holds it up over his face. Just go buy me like this and I'm going. What do you think is going to happen? You absolute eightieth. I mean that's how you're GONNA go through life holding assured of your face because you're afraid a little virus will here and he was probably twenty five years old. He's a young guy fit guy thinking he's doing that to protect you jerry. It wasn't the other way positive. Whatever it was I'll say this there are people black turtle boy and Portnoy say. Give me the virus. I don't WANNA lose my job. I don't WANNA lose my business. Just get this over with. I got a good friend. Owns a business. And he's you know a little overweight and he's like my age and he said. I don't care I'd take the virus right now over what they're doing to my business. I've told you this before. He's a contractor. He has twenty five jobs in the city of Boston. There on hold. They're just waiting. He's got people work form. Who Say I'm going to collect unemployment. Call me the end of July and now this is crazy. Why why should I work when I can make more sitting on my ass? This is the rule this Democrat. You know mentality stay home and he has to beg people come back and work for him and a win these the allowed to go back to work because they're making doing it so well not working the to the faces of this resistance beyond Portnoy today. Who Kinda stole everyone's thunder? We know. Shelly Luther. That's fine face by the way unlike Richard Levin a fine face rick savage the the restaurant owner in Maine. Oh again euro who by the way? Janet Mills the governor if you saw this Tucker last night the governor is going after him and tried to ruin him they wanna put them out of business. Because he dared defy the queen there And this New Jersey gym owner is opening today. I believe against the rules. He's going to get arrested. He says fine. They're almost like they're you know they're These around this these heroes. Ah leading the fight around the country in different places and I think on Monday. You're going to be you're GONNA see some in Massachusetts. The governor's GonNa say you can't go to work. You can't open a business. There'll be some whatever I don't know if it'll be a salon owner or a restaurant owner JIM owner. But there'll be some turtle boy you'll be writing about it they're gonNA say Fu Charlie Baker. They're going to get shutdown. Baker will be vindictive as governor main. You'll try to ruin them. It will look at them as you know like Disrespecting him and he'll try to crush them it's going to get nasty. It's get the everywhere by the way. That's the only natch inevitable outcome you know. The these governors are never going to give an inch. They love 'cause mayors. You're going to have to have the civil disobedience and I'm going to sit there and I'm going to join nominal plotted while you know some restaurant owners in Boston writing lettuce. I think it was Charlie or to Martin forget who that they want it? But I mean they've they've had enough of this they need. This is the how long we were told two weeks. We did our job and they feel like to. You know to win now. They're all we had. I think a stay Red Mark Lombardo at a couple of other people were pushing reopened Massachusetts and they're Republicans they should have the ear of the governor. He's he's hanging on for us. By the way you want Mark Lombardo. Who is a is a rebel? If ever there was what he's a Massachusetts and he's taken on the establishment every day when he shows up unfortunately he's gotta take on the governor. A former Republican turned absolute a dark red dark blue liberal. Who is As as anti-business as any governor in the country who is determined by the way? I think I think Charlie's go governors goal is to be the last state to open up. He wants to be the last state he does not want to appear like he's following you know trump's lead or following the Republicans lead at all But we'll we'll check in with mark. He pays closer tetanus than we do. What's happening Mark Lombardo? We're we're battling out here you know. Tell us what's going to happen Monday. Mardi won't tell US Mardi says may may eighteenth. He'll let you know and I know you know a number of small business people who are hanging on. They don't know if they are supposed to hire people that day or you know. Bring him into work that day. They're not snow. They don't know if they'll get to open their business. He just won't tell them what is the what is the point of in what is going to happen on Monday. Like anti the legislation doesn't know either because we're not being told anything not even the the Republican Caucus What we know is that the yesterday. The governor's this he doesn't want any leaks Pretty disheartening position. Because no one's asking for leaks whereas for clarity right business one. Can I open? Not You know how long and if. I can't open. Can you give me some prep so I can do what you're asking me to do? Whatever that might be I can only guess that we're GONNA see an extension beyond mateen. I guess June first. I'm here rumblings of stage. One phase one whatever the color coded chart that was released was orange. No it was light green. It was kind of a Pastel green. Mondays Yep yeah yeah well. I don't think I'm not convinced that it's going to happen on the eighteenth so in. May and I hope it. I hope we start kicking off but Alexander guaranteed with the Happening has been slow. "Here's the thing. Everyone says things I even sometimes in the show, and they're certain words, I say over and over it's like when you're in a loan. You're trying to get to the next sense. But there's something incredibly deceptive about constantly saying, I made it a malign to you. This is for real. It's like. Protesting to be wouldn't when I was listening to that natural fact opposed to an unnatural fact, or a synthetic fact when someone says honestly every time they started sending okay? Are you lying all the rest of the time? Why do you been worse than honestly, frankly, frankly or break, or you know, what someone used to say to me in elementary school? No fence. And I always knew that I was gonna go home crying that day. But yeah. And Joe by also made waves because he said that healthcare should be free. Whether you're legal or illegal. So the audio of this was not great. He was surrounded by sea of reporters. We don't really have to play it. But that just goes to show you that he is he was originally going to be the moderate candidate. And that ship has long sailed what was the price tag in Massachusetts of healthcare for legal aliens, they calculate that little while ago five years ago, they calculated they Republican state rep held up all business in the legislature until they came up with a number for how much all welfare they were getting which was one point eight billion that was five years ago. I I've said I said to the Republicans they rep we had on the other night Mark Lombardo. I said I'll bet it's up around three billion now five years ago is one point eight billion just in Massachusetts. Okay. Great. Oh, it's gotta be a hundred billion nationwide. Well, speaking of free. Stuff what what is legal alien Schefter. What's their copay? Do they do? They have the duck the pulse for for free. I I don't think they do. I heard any legal alien do you have to get a referral specialist or can you walk in after diagnosing yourself on web MD comes to healthcare. It's like being jammed up criminally. I ask for no special treatment. Just treat me like an illegal alien. I need to go down to get some aspirin. I'm calling. I'm calling nine one one to send the ambulance. So I can go down because I I don't want to pay for a cab or an Uber. You know, I want to go down to the emergency room and get some aspirin for free. Here's the thing is that when you when I turned twenty six or whatever, and you realize you have to have healthcare, and all these things, I mean, even then you understand that you're going to have to pay for it all these politicians who keep saying. It's a right. It's a right. I've never felt like it is right things in life. You have to pay for if something's horribly wrong. You know, obviously, you go into they're gonna turn you away. If you go into a hospital, there's not going to. It's against all of their oaths. But I mean, this idea that everything has to be handed to you. It's our job to make sure that everyone has the right of free stuff is insane. I got I just you know, when the herald went bankrupt, and it was bought by this new company. I got I got a new health insurance plan. So I wanted to get some coal sore medication. And so he's comes back to the coal sore. It does. It's it it always because they always come back. You say that's so so I so I got a prescription from from from one of the doctors at just the stuff I always have gotten right? And so I I gave it to. I went to the to the drive through at CVS. And I hand that tool and I'm driving away like a minute later. I get a phone call. And they should mister car. Your insurance doesn't cover this healthcare. This colts medication anymore. Okay. So how much is it gonna cost me seven hundred sixty bucks? Do you come driving back with him at the speed of light? They should be wants to fill it. And I said, no, I still brave. I still got a little in the tube. Windex I won't be needing it. But but again, I show said, hey, amigo, I'm an illegal alien. How? I want dose of those tubes. Fill her up. Guys before we go to break. I want to do the contest actually conscious on the other side. But get ready get near your phones because you're going to have to take six three five six six to get. You know, what we don't give out a lot of free stuff, but we are giving out free tickets. So maybe we're more democratic than we even standby standby guys are terrible taking care of their health. Whether it's a knee injury, bad back or something worse. Guys are usually more comfortable rubbing some dirt on it than seeing. Dr. I'm guilty of myself. I told you about with that Cole sore medication. Well for some guys the same is true for erectile dysfunction study.

"On beacon hill, the general court the legislature of Massachusetts will meet in joint session, they call it the constitutional convention and they're going to start the process of putting on the twenty twenty two ballot. A graduated income tax gonna call it the millionaire's tax, but if this taxes ever passed, you will be a millionaire at least for the purposes of collecting income tax. We'll talk more about that later. But today, the the the committee on revenue formerly known as the committee held hearings on a number of bills relating to sales tax excise taxes cetera and one of the bills that's been proposed. I, you know, I'm not confident it's going anywhere for obvious reasons as you'll soon say was proposed by Representative Mark Lombardo, and he wants to cut the sales tax from six point two five percent where it's been for about a decade back to five percent because the. Government. The state government has just been rolling in money lately. And they're spending like drunken, sailors, that's not really fair to drunken sailors. So I wanted to get Mark Lombardo on the air tonight. And just, you know, thank you for for at least trying to do the right thing here Mark Lombardo. Thanks for being with us here on the highway car show. Great to talk with you again. How how'd it go today at the hearing? Unfortunately, I didn't get to go. I had a little medical procedure done that prevented me from going. But I didn't have to go to nose going to happen. You know, there was this bill's been filed in numerous sessions and the idea that someone would wanna cut taxes is almost insulting. The polls speaking hell, how dare you try to take our money away? Give it back to the people. It. It's not nightmare. That is very popular as you just mentioned quite the opposite going on. There's there's a tasteful appetite to take more taxes from the Heidrick fan come walk right out and tomorrow that they're going to try to get the ball rolling on this on this graduated income tax which has been voted down by the voters five times. But they think the electorate is significant significantly dumbed down now enough to to actually buy this pig poke and think that it's not going to affect them only so called millionaire's. It's it's it's ridiculous. I mean, the the spending is is amazing. Chip four from citizens for limited taxation, put it all together a decade a decade after the the crease in the sales tax from five percent to six six point two five percent. Decade ago. The bud state budget was twenty four point twenty seven point four billion now budget, you guys just passed in the house forty two point eight billion that's fifteen billion dollars in more spent more spending than just ten years ago. Fifty five percent spending increase it was just at the rate of inflation. The budget would be thirty two point nine billion. But it's it's ten billion more than that. I mean, this is this is out of control. How I never gonna change unless Massachusetts finally look form some of the fake of -ment, and it's and it's hard to with this legislature that that's going to happen. I mean two billion dollars a year at least on benefits for legal immigrants in the budget. You've got math help at exploded. Since two thousand eight has doubled over sixteen point almost seventeen billion dollars of the budget about how and of that number one point nine million people on on helping us -chusetts thirty three percent of the population of ashes on on that how and yet nine hundred thousand of them are above the poverty line and was not what it was designed for it. So you think about the billions and billions of dollars going there spending control. Nobody wants to say no this discussions of free health care for everybody university. How this discussions every session about three call. Negotiation and at how they gonna Tak like you try to make it happen. And sue all millionaires as you mentioned. Yeah. I mean, you know, the thing is I mean everybody who is a quote, unquote, millionaire there the we all have the option of fleeing the state or hiring accountants and tax lawyers who can get us under the under the threshold, whatever the threshold is and it won't be a million dollars for long because every state they've tried this in the supply of millionare's has immediately failed. Look what happened in jersey. They lost. They lost one guy. I think his name was tapper he moved to Miami Beach. They lost fifty five million dollars because this one hedge fund guy left the state because he wasn't gonna he wasn't going to be rob. And the, you know, the same thing will happen here. Those who are trying to tax for those who have the most mobility. It's just that. And so you're right starts, the okay of graduated income tax soon will be anyone who makes five hundred be anywhere makes two fifty then it'll be a hundred and and you'll be considered rich. It's just it is a very poor play. It's the the lack of cards actually reform state government become more efficient and try to everybody. And how it's not surprised as you mentioned is called the millionaire's tax. That was so beautifully designed with PR because they know people hate those doing as right instead of teaching our kids to aspire to be those millionaires, this this breed of of of the left this this generation of the left is teaching kids to hate the rich person to spy them. They're no good and its continuation of divisive. Vining conquer politics identity politics of the left, and it's it's very war. Among among the many things they don't teach in public schools anymore Representative Lombardo as befallen too bad. They don't know the story of the Trojan horse this this millionaire's taxes, the classic Trojan horse, you know, gonna push it into the city and you'll think oh, wow. We got a nice little toy here. And once they go to sleep. I guess what's going to happen? All the all the bad guys are going to come out, and they're going to what gonna take over the city. What's going to happen? And so again when you think about my proposal to reduce sale tax back to where they had traditionally been before. There was a crisis forever. New the crisis is over how we're. The economy is rocking and rolling and and people had their high tech dolled. You know, it ain't easy being a business owner nets -chusetts anymore. God forbid that your sole proprietor, and you do a million dollars in revenue because then you pay taxes, and then you're out of six point two five percent advantage to our neighbors up in New Hampshire. And you know, it makes you wonder why you'd ever wanna open a business in Massachusetts. And so hard these days, I think the crisis state spending as the those districts, I just read the point out. I mean, it's just out it's out of control and tomorrow, they're going to say, well this money from the millionaire's tax is going to go for higher education. And of course, the higher education means more deputy, associate assistant, you know, vice-chancellors for bursar and. And diversity and human relations, all these bureaucrats. We don't have enough bureaucrats in the in the public and the private colleges already. That's what all this money is going for. But. College education won't be going down if they were to get this tax anyway. Right. So, you know, it's you're right. It's it's it's the pain the bureaucracy within higher. Ed, unfortunately, higher in this country has become big money big business at the expense of families and young people. And it's just outrageous. What the systems become? Yeah. And now they're also trying to reimpose the automatic gas tax increase that's going to be that's going to be another fight. I mean, they never take. No for an answer. That's the other thing the the graduated income taxes been voted down five times. They're just coming back for more. We just we just knocked down the the automatic gas tax increases five years ago be after being outspent thirty two one by fifty three forty seven margin. And now the now they're back pushing this thing again, too, they they once they win they call it. Settle law. Well, they're doing it because they can write that how hard it was to work. The feet that automated Gat tax we had to work our tails off and for them. They can pass the Bill because they've got the numbers, and it's just a the face to all the taxpayers and people gotta get more volved. They've gotta wake up they've gotta get to the people in to their representatives accountable for this. It really isn't to say and again with the Nokia tax graduated income tax it five times didn't care down the bell boxing hard to do it that way that they'd rather just pass it and make people challenge. It's the same thing that they do with when they repeal all like the the buffer zone law. They got shut down in a nine zero decision by the United States Supreme court, and they can just passes basically the same Bill, again, we'll take take take five years and suicide guess 'cause they don't care. It's it's quite depressing. But I'm glad you file the legislation anyway, Mark, and you know, try to get I hope you feel better tomorrow. And I hope you can get there, and at least point out how ridiculous this millionaires tax. And what a what a pig in a poke? They're trying to sell the stupid voters of Massachusetts yet again. We'll get there tomorrow. We'll make sure we fight for the tax payers. Okay. Thanks a lot Mark Lombardo. He's the Republicans. They Representative from Bill record number. Glad that I I'm glad I could help him out in when it's in his first election. Thank you, Mark. I have very very happy the way you've performed in the legislature. Thank you..

"Hey, Turtaboi, thanks for being here with us on that car show. Thank so, I know you read the story earlier in the week, and you kind of had the same reaction that I do. I mean, what do you make of these suburban moms do much time on their hands. Only know when I thought picture the one they put in there for somebody. But they did a picture of them from behind and their haircuts. Are exactly I dreamed that they would be every single one of them at the look of like can I speak to the manager? Please. Going to describe it. Right. Right. And they really think there Nancy crew and the woman who wrote the article Stephanie ever he wrote it because she identifies with these. She's one of them. Basically, you know, the same thing except fifteen miles north essentially, so the pink hat brigade has to run together. You know, I mean, I guarantee I guarantee this globe. Reporter who wrote this story participated in one of those pink pink hat marches. You know, the thing is you mentioned the fact that they give these women in, and they publish the picture of them from behind, and we could debate the journalistic principle behind giving these women in when they're kind of like the bad actors and the story, but we're so far beyond that when it comes to journalistic principles and the Boston Globe. Oh, yeah. This is the least of their sin calling still works there. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Kevin Kevin Cullen still has a job. Mike barnicle still has a job Marc Albert. And by the way is making a comeback. We didn't get to that one today. But anyway. Exactly. So the one of the reasons I wanted to have you on turtle boys because there's a big national news yesterday. Facebook the social media platform that I read today, it's something like two thirds of all humans are monthly active users of Facebook. So it's you know, it's vast being it's become kind of like for some people. It's become the Endo skeleton of social interaction they wake up first thing. They check Facebook. They have lunch break check Facebook. They they get before they go to bed. They check Facebook. So it is important even if you've decided that Facebook's not for you like, it isn't important fact of human existence right now. And they've decided that they're going to deploy form several right wing commentators. I know my low you novelist who's kind of fallen from glory Alex Jones, and then also con. Yeah. So. Fallen from grace Twitter. They eliminate one class on people think you're no longer this that how powerful these platforms are. Yeah. I mean when people go with my low, it wasn't just being banned from Twitter. There was also the video that came out of him defending sex between older men, and like thirteen and twelve year old boys that contributed to yes. Being deployed formed kind of help the help exceleron that, but you know, so so I was just setting the stage there because this platform is happening to figures on the right? I wouldn't necessarily consider you turtle boy to be like a far, right or even very much of a political figure. You're just you dig up things you have funny stories, you're provocative, and you provoke reactions from the people you're reporting on the group's your reporting on but tell us about your experience because you kind of went through this. Well before yesterday, tell us about your experience with Facebook and Twitter, but we yeah. We invented social media censorship. Koker twenty seventeen Twitter was the activated with no explanation. Why like fifteen thousand followers? And then on November twenty eight twenty seventeen our Facebook page, which at one hundred twelve thousand followers that with the activated. Right nowhere you giving. We appealed it. They said we didn't violate any rules still taking doubts keep making new pages told him up like thirty thousand followers, and they get taken down for some of the most absurd thing you've ever read French instance on Christmas twenty seventeen we had a page taken now called Turtaboi refugees because we wrote on Christmas peace love and happiness to all. And they said this was promoting sexual violence. That's not violent. But what's happening is just orders who just want to silence people that they don't agree with who are supposing them. Most the most part. They figured out that way, they can do. They have no lives. No job. Go on there that you all day, and then just effectively silence. You're no that's not what happened yesterday. These Facebook the company has chosen to specifically go after these names yesterday. And what this is this is scare at all. Election meddling, right? This is like an conservative. I don't want crap from conservatives about oh, they're a private business. Twenty bucket do doing what you're doing is. You're surrendering social media. The most powerful platform that got Trump elected to the left. You're giving it up to them in the name of free market like give me a break. Yeah. Actually. I agree with you turtle boy. And I think no no you don't have to dump that. I think that I think that the. I think that a lot of people are familiar with turtle boy sports. But I mean, you guys do a lot of reporting on like some someone's trying to sell their card on Facebook spot on that kind of behavior. And but you guys also do really serious journalism that has affected like politicians. Judges hear things that we've talked about on the Howie Carr show. Like, you know, there was the judge's daughter whose case almost broom d- because she was pulling strings she was driving her car and under the influence of drugs, and that almost swept under the rug because the judge was pulling guys exposed that a lot of the state's police scandals you guys you guys have been reporting things that could have could have run in the Boston Herald or could have run in the Boston Globe. If they would have had the, you know, the curiosity or the connections that you guys do. So you guys do a lot of silly stuff. But you also do important journalism and to cut you cut your traffic off at the knees by banning you from Facebook or banning you from Twitter. I mean, they're affectively trying to put you out of business. And that's exactly what Facebook is trying to do with people whose politics they disagree with today yesterday. Yeah. It's like, you know. Information is important to get out there. People need know about this stuff. People need to know what the state police are up doing what judges are up to and whatnot. And what the district attorney who is an elected official up to Joe early with up to reelection last year. You know that story important to get out because you know, what Joe early is doing. And when you silence of like, we can't tell that effectively. You know, you you don't have to use your platform where you kind of go. It's like if you're not on Facebook or Twitter, you might as well be writing in your diary. Like, what do you go out in the corner with a megaphone, like a lunatic yelling thing, exactly? I mean, that's just the internet. The internet reality is that social media is the way that new spreads. That's how you discover new sources because people see that's that's worth sharing. And so they share it. And then more people share more people share it like a turtle boy sports story that is incredibly important is going to spread across social media. But you guys can't kind of start the fire if you're not allowed to have accounts there, and I guess we could talk a little bit about just like, the broader discussion, you touched on a little bit about how there's a lot of conservatives right now who are saying, well, you know, I don't really agree with Milo Yannopoulos. I don't agree with the alright. And those things are certainly true of me. I mean, I've met my Milo. I think he's provocative and funny. But I don't think he's I don't think he's conservative. I don't think he doesn't share the same kind of political principles that I do. But save time. I'm really worried when any voices being silence. I don't care. I don't care if the young Turks. I don't care if it's like blue mass group. I don't care if it's like the most rabid anti left partisans. I don't want them. Silence. Because when you start going down that road. It's very dangerous, and yeah, it's a private company, but Facebook is in a unique position. I mean, it's a private company, but a private company controlled the public square. I would argue that note single person to be able to control that amount of flow of information. You know, the president of the United States of America. Use this platform to announce policy decisions they get free advertising every night on the nightly news. Guess what? That how Trump talks tweet, exactly. There wasn't the supreme court. I don't think, but it was a lower court ruled that it's unconstitutional for Trump. According to New York rule that it's unconstitutional for President Trump to block people on Twitter. Couldn't you reason. Then that everyone has a constitutional right to be on Twitter and follow the president. Yeah. I think he ignored that. No. That's exactly right. I mean, this is a what what what we need and I did up. Log on this last night is a civil rights Bill for platforms. Right. Like fifty years ago restaurants could tell people that. Well, I don't want you eat because I can discriminate against you know, there's nothing that says you can't do that. There's nothing to write, but we can create laws like we have the ability to create laws, we be creating laws that platforms are a civil right. That cannot be denied. And obviously congress to do that. But the state legislature really could I emailed every single Republican in the state legislature today every single Representative and Senator I back for one Mark Lombardo from Bill record. That's it. None of the rest did. And I I'm working. This is what your conservatives are surrendering public square to liberals, and it's you're going to own elections. If you don't get off the but do something about this. This is something we can ignore. I agree with you. And I think Donald Trump junior has been at the forefront of this. Hopefully, hopefully, President Trump's ear the Democrats. I mean, what incentive do they have to Mark Zuckerberg is just running around shutting up conservatives. They're obviously not going to do anything about it because they're shortsighted, and they don't realize that eventually this is going to come back to bite them. When when Mark Zuckerberg is the arbiter of what is good, and moral, and what is proper speech a dangerous place for all of us to turn a boy sports. Thank you very much for being with us here on this Friday night. We encourage everybody. Go to Turtaboi sports dot com. Check out his website. He's got a great site. Lots of good news there. We talk about often here on the Howie Carr show. We'll take your calls on the other side here. What do you think should be done about Facebook? How do you feel about Facebook d platforming some voices on the right and also Louis Farrakhan, who's not far right, regardless of what the Washington Post tells you this Steve Robinson in for Howie Carr. This is now a car show or Howie Carr show.

"Six sixty eight sixty eight is. The. Number okay, my friends big tech is now making its. Big move as you know they have been now waging a war against. Conservative speech they are looking to suppress and silence, free speech but especially, conservative speech they are going to. Be meeting, in fact they are already are meeting as I speak in. San Francisco this is according to the Associated Press Cording to the Wall. Street Journal the New, York Times all of them are now reporting that the major heads, of, Twitter, Google, Facebook, Amazon Microsoft they're all meeting to discuss what to do about the. Midterm elections they want to drive up liberal democratic turn out to ensure that Trump loses and. Loses big but before I get to these, explosive stories State Representative Geoff Diehl who is running for the, Republican primary to be the next US Senate candidate, to challenge Elizabeth Warren is on we've got him beautiful Jeff. How, are you, my friend Jeff Kunar creates beyond with you. Thank you for, having me on okay now before we talk about the. Event that you and I are going to be, doing next week I, want to give you a chance. To respond, you have been taking a lot of criticism lately from Beth. Lindstrom from Kingston John Kingston I see the ads everywhere I I don't. Know who's giving him, the money Jeff but they got a lot of money and they, are, spending, as, I, see it on television I see it on the internet they're saying. You're a closet democrat saying you support Joe Biden they say that you really not a real. Republican but that's you're somebody who's basically gonna Vote for the. Democrats if you are elected that you're, not somebody that we. Can trust they're the real deal you're not what, do you say to that argument Jeff Well first of all? Jeff I think the country can probably remember back since I got in. In two thousand and ten I've been one of the fighters, with, Sean, O'Connell, Jim Lyons Mark Lombardo we're we've been fighting for a accountability and what I, think are the Republican principles, a smaller, government individual freedoms you know making sure that. The second amendment is protected that's something I've always believed, whether or not you know I used to be a democrat because I grew up in, a household with my mom. And my dad were. Democrats they still are Democrats but the fact of the matter is you know which. Parties over a decade ago and I have been working for the last eight years on beacon hill trying to make sure that the Republican party has a stronger. Voice within the house chamber and I now I have a chance because of the work I've been doing with, incredible grassroots team across state. Including everybody in Kunar country we've been successful in lowering taxes and we, want to go to Washington, get rid of Elizabeth Warren. One, of the most, progressive We're kind of, seeing pretty, much socialist voices. Out there which wants to take our country down whole? Path away from you know the the freedoms that I think we've all grown up enjoying and. So I think with my two primary opponents it's very clear, when, I, won, the convention six months ago overwhelmingly more than two to one over one of, them in more than three, to one, over the other that all they have left. Or trying to attack my background and again you know, I saw the light years ago much like Ronald Reagan and I think that this the, people in Massachusetts are waking. Up in fact Jeff. I don't know if you noticed in the listeners know this but twenty thousand Democrats. Unin wold to vote for Trump in two thousand sixteen so the good news is the Republican party at Massachusetts is starting to grow because people have come over. And and understand what the Republicans are all about Jeff I've known you now for six years ever since I've, been on the air here. In Boston you support and champion limited taxes tax cuts law and order, you want to build a. Wall along the southern border You want to crack down on sanctuary cities you want to stop the onslaught of illegal immigration, and you want to secure our border obviously you are somebody who supports. Trump's America first agenda you want to combat the, opioid epidemic you want to start putting the interests of middle. And working families first and above all you wanna put Massachusetts I now am I wrong on any of these points I was I was in always scouts I became. An ego, when I, was sixteen I've always wanted to give back sometime in, my life for all the, great things that happened to me when. I was, young, people who helped me out in life that never had to, and misses the chance for me to give back in a way that I've. Never been able to give due before it's incredible and all that you just mentioned is because I believe in those things I think that the people in. Massachusetts, despite having Democrats run the state for so long are finally waking up to the fact that, they are going to have someone, who's going, to be their. Voice in Washington I am just one of you Jeff I'm one of your listeners I my wife and I own a small business on the south shore we have two. Daughters all. I want out of government is to give me a fair shake too, if I put a hard day's work, in I want to be able to keep what I've made and I am more of what I've made in government wants to take away and I think all those values. Are wrapped up into that same pot Jeff you're the co-chair of the Trump campaign here in Massachusetts correct Yes so back in two thousand sixteen I, was the only elected Republican in the state to endorse the president and I was fortunate enough to serve before the primary in, trying to make sure that we won that which we did overwhelmingly and I was proud. To continue to support him throughout the time for the general election and even though Trump didn't win NASA -chusetts I do want, to remind voters out there by the way. That technically on paper he got more votes than our Republican governor. Charlie Baker more people voted for Trump in the state and Baker so the the votes are, out there to win this Senate seat. And send someone to Washington it's going to work for, them We are talking with state Representative Republican candidate, for the US Senate. Jeff the real deal I'm backing him all the way he's in America first conservative. Jeff you and I are going to be doing an event together next Thursday can you please tell everybody what. It's. All about and how they can, join us well if anybody who's listening isn't aware the primary for this, race is September fourth all right so what's happening is on the thirtieth next Thursday as you mentioned we're going to do a, rally a few days before the primary to make sure that everybody has lawn signs has. Bumper stickers but more importantly comes there and you know we want to talk to everybody I want to make sure that everybody, knows what's at stake but this election cycle. And so I currently am the Representative for three towns Abington Whitman. In east Bridgewater this event is going to be in Abington from six o'clock to eight o'clock. In the evening on the thirty Thirtieth and the places called emerald. Hall it's a pretty well known, establishment in Abington it used to be VFW now it's called emerald hall it's a very large facility so a, lot, of great parking. There don't worry if you show up there is. Plenty, of, space, to get there anybody who's listening and can make it to happen Jim. That night Thursday night from six to eight PM she'd come because we will load? You, up with Lonzo signs and bumper stickers and we will get you signed. Up. To be. Part of the team to work between September fourth. And November six, to get rid of Elizabeth Jeff is there anywhere that people can go to a website to get.
