"Thank you for tuning in this morning. Striped bass down the delta. It looks like they're on their last little fling here this week saw a lot of spawning down in the delta. Now we're used to. For years and years and years, most of the stripers came up the Sacramento River. Through Sacramento up past Verona. Grimes night flights landing Grimes and they would spawn. I mean, tremendous schools of fish would spawn several miles above Colusa. But all that evidently is depending on water flow, which we did not have this year. The results of that was not a very good season way up River not nearly as many fish came up. The fish weren't as big The fish were very late coming into the delta. Once they got there, we we've had some pretty good fish in the last couple of weeks. Another wave of fish came in, but it hasn't been a normal striped bass season. Now the fish are spawning in the lower Sacramento River, actually in the re of Vista area, and over on the San Joaquin up from the anti Oxbridge. I mean, this is not unheard of. But if it's unusual in the scheme of things, and that's what happens this week. Lot of females came in. Ah, lot of more caught a lot of them course a lot of guys catch and release those fish this time of year, but once they spawn They stopped their upward joint journey. Now they may hang around off the food is good because stripers go on a terror to eat right after they spawned not like all fish, and they may hang around. The food is good, but generally they drift back down, Okay? And there's there's a factor out there that fishes for the downstream stripers because there's just full of fire. For some reason, and we used to drift a little white Gigot, the mouth of the American in May, and even early June in good water, years and catch. Ah, lot of stripers just doing that so That seems to be the scenario So we are losing stripers in the system. All the males that are caught are milking, so spawning is underway. I wouldn't expect this to go on too much longer, but we'll get a report, of course, from Mark Wilson at 6 35 and And kind of get up to speed on that. Um Have not heard that much about the salmon fishing and moderate course that's the only place is open and in the The ocean south of half Moon Bay in the Monterey, of course, down the Morro Bay and all that, But the wind has been a real factor. It was a huge factor last week when the commercial season open Um, While they got some fish, it wasn't exactly easy fishing. Plus, since there's nowhere else to fish, a lot of the commercial boats concentrate on that area. Will also get a little updated info on that from from Andy Giuliano in about 15 minutes. Um, So the bay fishing? No. You get a little protection from the wind. The hell of it. The stripers I heard. I mean, how about specifically? And even more stripers in the bay this week, So that's good news back inland. Ah, lot of people are concentrating on cocaine E right now, Um, you know, we've We've been talking about it all year, but every lake has its own characteristics. And today we're going to revisit bury us to see what's going on there. We had just some unbelievable fishing about a month month and a half ago. We'll see what's happening now. We'll also Ship have a couple reports on New Malone is new Malone is seems to have, uh, numbers of fish, mostly in the 15 inch. Directed and that's not bad for coca. Me and you always have a chance to catch an 18 inch. Er, um that's a very good chance to do that at new Malone is so we'll get a couple reports there. Well, we'll also get a report about Bullard's bar. Yeah, that seems to be back in the limelight now because, well, the fissure bigger than they were earlier borders bars known for its small fish. The department says. All your people want the small fish well that people don't want to small fish rather than capture bunch of small fish. They would rather catch a bunch of big fish, but they don't manage it that way. And so But anyway, it seems to be easy limits there. And, of course, there is a Larger limit their than other lakes. So we're gonna report from Rob Reimers there. He was there yesterday and when his customers today that we're going to Fish Lake or go with heard about all the action It says Let's go to village bar. So Rob will call us just after six, Um Don Paige Anneli fished both fall from an Berryessa this week for bass. And we'll see what he has to say. Now those air two lakes that are different in different stages of the bass fishing, for example, Folsom has got two major rivers coming into it. They come right down from the high mountains. It's all snow melt. Berryessa. He's got a couple of creeks coming into it. Um, none of that is snow melt is spring fed and things like that. So the M Plus, it's a little milder climate. It Barry s s. So they get going on the warm water species a little bit earlier, and, uh, we're gonna compare the two today. See where we are. Fulsome is still at that 397 ft elevation, which means you have a five mile an hour speed limit. And, uh, Because the Bureau of Reclamation could be one of the most uninterested. Federal agencies in what the people think or know I tried like heck yesterday to get some more information on that level, and They're rude enough not to return any calls that they have the public information officer. They should rename it the public information prevent prevention officer because their job is to provide people like me and other members of the press with information, they do everything they can not to do that so Anyway, it looks like they're, uh, keeping that level these massive pipes. You will see it the south for going in coming out of full somewhere. El Dorado irrigation, sadistic. Um, basically exercising their right water rights to Folsom and so full Trump's gonna be have a demand. Put it on for even more water in the future, so Anyway, that whole zoo is playing up. We will get a a great report from Robbie Dunham on command. She looked Comanche just going great guns right now. They planted £3600 of fish yesterday yesterday in late Comanche. And where I'll be done in his just taken advantage of it, and, uh Good fishing there, and we're going to get into detail. Heard that, like Amador also had a £1200 plant. But fish now are smaller there about a pound of peace, so the others Possibilities there, but the fish are gonna be smaller. Um We'll hear from Kurt Porter career Oh Sac River guide. He's been fishing stripers because his clients wanted to, but he's done with that. Nice also fishing the Sacramento River and he spent one day this week over it. Whiskey Town taking a group bass fishing. Wait till you hear how they did there. Um, it just makes you wonder why we don't fish whiskey town a little bit more. Also from Mark Krista, full up a daughter, Lake we're gonna hear about Donner Lake and what's going on with with Stampede and Boca stampede, another failure for the department official Wildlife and he was also down at Bridgeport for the opener, so we'll get that. Richie Height of pulling a peak tackle was a flaming gorge reservoir last week and will let him tell us about the wonderful coconut fishing over there. Nathan Leonard will will talk to us about Berryessa and Knew Malone is coca knee. Brian Rick Uchi up It lay Kalman or things we went to a real doubt a slow time up there, probably because of so much food, but things are starting to pick up and some nice, big, feisty rain. Those are being taken. So that and even more coming up in the next.

Some of the greatest memories ever of my life. I hate the Boston Celtics to this day because they beat my sense that Royals three times in Game seven of the Eastern Conference finals. "Mark Krista said thirty-seven was hours away from execution in two thousand fourteen when the US Supreme Court granted a temporary. Stay this time. Though the cord it allowed the execution to proceed and governor Eric Ratings declined to clemency request for Khorasan the first inmate to be put to death since the Republicans took office as the execution drug was administered. Kristen appeared to mouth. I love you a couple of times. Two people who were gathered to watch the lethal injection on his behalf soon is is closed so I do well. I don't know about the younger one that got I run under city. He pleaded insanity. I it didn't look into that aspect of it but march the one they say he kinda masqueraded the the whole ordeal by absolutely I mean you took a woman and two children for Ford Bronco TV and whatever else you took to get where you're going you know and and do it just cold blood and the way that he did it in such a way that they were all watching each other suffering which alone. It's uncomfortable you know. This is somebody who was so much input through something like that alone is is such a big deal and I wish that both of them had gotten it you know and I feel like they kind of had a loan on lifezette before his sentence was carried out you know and I thought it a couple of times and I think a lot of instances there is you are capable of rehabilitation. But I think when you do something like that you know. I don't feel like anyone can decide that. That is forgivable except for God appa top of this episode. We told you that this is one of the most evil most senseless in most sad cases that we've ever shared so so why do it in. That's probably glaring question. But it's for the same reason that we tell every story each week to try to somehow understand cruelty not to understand the worst humanity has to offer what the same time keeping the memory of Susan Adrian Kyle L. Alive and that's what we're striving to do. Even though it was difficult every time I drive that stretch through this she I cry and now I have to voice who are nine and twelve and I can't hold it being you know how they react in a situation like that. I had bought my door every time I walk outside. I didn't come back in even if I'm just going out to start my car in the morning let it run. I always had this idea that things like that are possible. And just the fact that these kids ed or not the stranger you imagine in your mind but to kiss that rose the bus with them Kinda makes you second. Guess everything like a wild things got to know of at such a young age it just hit me in such a different way because like my core you know you. You don't see everybody as being be seeing people you know there are people out there who are can take your life in an infant small town like just kinda strange. They're very tight written it. And especially when you don't have anyone out there but he tether you know there's lots of places for people to hide it's different. It's different out there so desolate so you really have no idea what your neighbor is up to.

"It does you can still catch fish there too and a few nice ones are coming out but that will get better soon as that elegy bloom goes away as far as up but the lakes twin lakes catching a few fish off the shore the boat fishermen are catching a few fish nothing red hot by any means most of the people camped up there are going down to the screams to west Walker in particular driving over there to catch fish and depending on how good a fisherman you are in years spend some time I talked to fly fisherman bait fishermen lure fishermen all were catching fish on the west Walker. Alan from up what up at pickle metals down through below that little canyon with the bridge crosses the river and that is another little metal that's a good area all the way down into the canyon I saw people fission and runs you don't see him normally fish this time of year because of our water is a little bit higher which is good it's just a beautiful stream well it's not red hot Fisher busters fish all up and down that river now there's some wild fission there the state is planted fish the county has planted fish the chambers planted trophy fish in there and when the water was hired earlier these fish get distributed throughout the river much better so you can you're gonna catch fish a combination of the plants awhile the whole section river okay then in mark Beeville that the the west the east Walker has dropped. but it's still a god of enough flow the rivers change a little bit but you know it's going to be crowded because they planted a Thursday late afternoon Thursday as I was coming through there but I talked to the fishermen up there before they planted and he were to one okay everybody had caught a couple of fish and a lot of fish in a river right now the better fishermen that were fly fishing late in the afternoon we're doing very good. so that whole that whole thing is is happening pretty good now I've just finished a couple places along the west work I took my fly rod don why didn't want to put my waders on you know how a lot of ground to cover so I got this one spot that I could hook up a fly rod and just gonna wait wait a little bit is to get around and I caught a fish about a twelve inch rainbow on a note pad just a dark Memphis just an ugly old Ted Fay fly as I'd call it but and then I had another hit and then on another place so I put a I had a. a spinner on Ellen a pastor Martin spinner a small one with the black dots L. I caught two fish on the and had another hit their cuts are released a mall they were all about the same size eleven to twelve interest so for as much time as I put in you know hi fish maybe a total of an hour that's not bad you know a couple different spots show what I'm saying is worth your it's worth your while it's worth your while it could be fun this time of year so and and that's true just about everywhere but the you know the all the streams down on the on the west side they really got they really got to. they got planted heavily okay well I talked to mark Krista full of mark crystals guard serve course mark lives up in Donner lake for a little late minute roundup on sh stampede Boca and Donner. mark the coke in the start wind down all over the state literally the code the bigger coke can you catch are really turn to get no hook jaws are there fresher fish to be caught in the stampede like the the fish aren't spawning. yeah yeah Bob there are I mean there's a lot of twelve inch fish out there that I believe our next year Spanish but like you said a lot of into your Fisher are really starting to turn in and we're in that transition thanks although you know a lot of people like to catch them because they are the the some of the biggest company of the year if you can get the bigger ones to bite of a and a and P. some people like that you know there's some pretty impressive pictures floating around this time of year with a little red color drawing on. yeah Hey I mean it's a good time to the DJ you know it's obviously that that's gonna be sport fish and you not a stampede right now they're they're down deep so were were open that we can get some that haven't quite turn that a good table fare I guess so you know the most part of. yes five I was going out to per sport another target I'm quite as the but there's yeah there's a nice British nonetheless at like forty fifty feet yeah okay by the way congratulations on your second place finish in the coke any power groovy thank you that was a good job good job what would you use in the derby. are so weary is in a was a pink coconut that is is going to be coming out here very soon for Max they're going to create a new line so that'll come out here soon and then we were all season a little double Winnie was little micro spinner with a smile was or wasn't you know the font of a metal blade or anything like that but that seemed to work really well and then we did have a six inch swing weight with I mean it looks like a horse you the band that I put on I think I've never fished it quite like that but it worked in and we were I think we just got kind of lucky we found there so what what what do you mean it looked like a horseshoe. so we took that swing waiting almost Bennett you don't even know why Sir. yeah almost almost in half like a I've never fish. play with that much better. so you you could go almost zero miles an hour and have action the other that's sitting on and that was that was the point Bob for us you know something that work was actually taken everything out of gear and slowing down to a point two miles an hour and then put a dollar amount and the kicker backing it's a great idea that's innovative stuff you know so I think got to think outside the box once in awhile right well you know what it it yeah it worked worked well for us and it was a it was a tough day for everybody and we we just like us I got got lucky and found innocent person wanted to play well good for you good for you Hey mark what do I hear about Boca so tough to access for a boat what's going on yeah so this is year one they're going to go to next year's well they're doing a damn renovation so. you know the the road across the dam is who's all chewed up and actually pulling material from yeah in the lake there's a shelf out there and anyone that goes out there considers driven past it but other keeping it a real minimal level and trying to trying to just make that damn a little little more stable and I see thirty okay so in other words you got to put in off the lake bed where where if it's not too soft or steeper sought marked up it is steep uniting anyone that has a sixteen thirteen so both could probably get in there and if one of the larger. structure if you find a spot there Hey real quick because Donna Fisher both for programming and Max so Max it's it's kind of slow from access to it for me I don't know maybe it's just me I've I've had some some troubles are not troubles but just challenges there for the last couple years. but you can you can catch him you know but you have to really be tied to the bottom in in the form of the fish finder as far as Cokie there's there's quite a few coconvener it'll probably be another month there abouts before they really start hokum like you were seen at stampede overlooking a small fish once again and eleven inches maybe twelve twelve inch. are you looking about forty five to sixty five. that's mark crystal mark crystals guide service he'll be spending most of his time now Donald again twelve fission mac and all anyway that was pretty innovative stuff for years not direct that any his number to book a trip five three zero six eight zero one four nine two. more on the Pittsburgh second annual Pittsburgh fish derby you know we mention your six places in twenty categories well if you go to the website and you go to Pittsburgh Marino dot com slash fishing derby you'll see a sign of pops up on the derby in the give you four squares you can click on one of them is said during the derby Seaver live results well if you click on that now you realize what the different divisions are. they have a bank fishing area right there by the boat ramp it's the only area you are allowed to fish from the bank but if you don't have a boat they've got a division for you you can win that division so they've got the use striped bass on shore use private bath bass off shore they've got adults on shore adults offshore adults sturgeon on shore adults adults off your. in the of god sixty five plus if you're sixty five or over you've got a striped bass division on shore a scribe in bass division from the boat now this is separate from there from the younger guys okay and they got the same thing the sixty five plus sturgeon so by the time you're Adam all up they got the derbies for the kids the Durbridge for the the mid age group and then the derby for the seniors and then the berbee from the boat from the derby from the shore hi man they got the rather than give everybody just one trump could know they're going to make sure they're gonna spread the wealth around that's what they're going to do but you can find out of that and more all the details you need to know they've made it as easy as possible for all "The president to the speaker the freshman members of the house all of us have a responsibility to elevate the public discourse our words do matter we all know politics is a contact sport but it's about time we lowered the temperature or all across the board or contribute to a better level the school correspondent in Washington David Willis reminded me what had led to choose days remarkable scenes this was a flurry of tweets on a Sunday and make sure Donald Trump took issue with these for new democratic Congress women have been very critical of him on a variety of different subjects the basically said they should go back to where they came from which is of course Sir and a time of war racist trope if you like so it more less immediately the house speaker Nancy Pelosi tabled this debate in the house and took place a few hours ago impassioned and at times okay all taken also will tempered I have to say at but the house voted to condemn a president trump's tweets it voted to allow the speaker Pelosi took coal Donald Trump of races that was off to Republicans have been at odds for remarks along those lines to be stricken from the record we also saw the acting chairman Emmanuel cleaver throw down his gavel and storm off of one point now all the democratic house members voted in favor of the motion as did for Republicans and then when the vote was over time yeah a democratic lawmaker I'll green cold for the president's impeachment saying he's unfit to preside and that was not posted upon all of this David though or if they serve theatrics already a reflection of the underlying temperature of politics in the US at the moment of the notes they are and I think Donald Trump in a sense has fueled this because he knows that it will turn the spotlight on the Democrats infighting among state Democrats said from the left of center in the policy these four left of center democratic Congress women have been so mmhm thing of pay in as far as the house speaker is concerned they've basically been pushing her in a more left wing direction or attempting to and I think that he feels that by drawing attention to this you can map out the battle lines for the next presidential election David Willis in twenty seventeen operations by the army and Myanmar forced hundreds of thousands of write hanja Muslims to flee from their homes and recommend state to neighboring Bangladesh the U. N. says Burmese soldiers carried out mass killings down rapes and widespread awesome now the United States is announced sanctions against four of my animals top generals accusing them of gross human rights violations Nick beak joins us from young a young gold Nick what are these generals alleged to have done what time is that the man who U. N. investigators believe essentially gave the order is full what was the genocide that is the central charge and maybe two years off the that troops committed this campaign this clearance operation as they called it we saying that the toughest action against the four top generals including for the first time the commander in chief men online is still a really powerful for get hit in Myanmar and the U. S. is basically banned travel for him the three other generals and their families and they say that doing this in part because of recent activity from him for example he released from prison after just a few months some soldiers who were found guilty of killing a group of range of man and that was actually the story which to Royce's news a patient's gin news agency journalists reported on the photos but it was the report says he said no longer in prison than than the soldiers who carried out this crime and so what we've seen today is the U. S. saying that taking this action saying it's the toughest action any countries taken but in truth time yeah I think this is largely symbolic it's a travel ban and it doesn't go further to include financial sanctions they could have talked to the big ministry and assets here in in young going on elsewhere in the country when it does seem that the sanctions are vertically I have the potential to be not particularly effective yeah I'm actually I mean human rights groups this morning welcoming this saying that this is important but there is a continued movement to try and bring some sort of justice for the range of people more than seven hundred thousand were forced to cross the border last year but yes there's been nothing in terms of targeting more people call the crony businesses here are some of the big conglomerates that the army is still really involved in a make a lot of money from NYC big thanks very much indeed it's five years since the MH seventeen and is also when in Malaysia airlines passenger jet was shot out of the sky above a pro Russian separatist area in eastern Ukraine in a few hours time the Dutch prime minister Margaret to will join hundreds of friends and relatives in the commemoration to mourn the two hundred ninety eight victims a Russian made missile brought the plane down but Moscow has always denied involvement on hold again send this from the memorial field in five holes in one by one the names of the victims will be recited by their families or friends a minute's silence will fool around the exact moment the plane was shot down two hundred ninety eight trees have been planted around the memorial site I knew forests to symbolize growth face and connectedness the Dutch prime minister mark Krista will lay flowers at the heart of the and fifth there Sir surrounded by fields in which some flowers blossom some from seeds Bruce specially from Ukraine wrestling Fredericks on price and his girlfriend daisy dice it.
