In the nation's capital, Kyle Kuzma had a game winning three that negated a 38 point performance from the bull Zach lavine as the wizard's edge Chicago 197. John morant, with 38 points, the grizzlies taught me the spurs one 35 one 29. The Celtics usual duel were up to their old tricks as Boston took care of New Orleans. When you got good teammates, that really just trust you with the ball. I feel like you can change the game. You don't do nothing but really get you confident. Well, Mark Jackson didn't practice Wednesday, leaving his start against Cincinnati this weekend in doubt, he's been sidelined since week 13 with the knee injury. "You look at just, it's something about the way Steve Kerr coaches, his demeanor, his personality, that Gaza don't get much time, they play well in big moments. He gives me the confidence to shoot the ball where they want to shoot it. He gives them a confidence to, I can make a bad play and I don't have to look to see if I'm about to get subbed out. And I think being a former player and not even being a former player being a former player that was a backup pretty much a career backup, he can relate to everybody. What the words have done, and they drafted these guys. It hasn't been a week on go get LeBron and AD. We're going to trade for them. We're going to get them as free agents. Are we going to trade? All these guys have been drafted and developed by Golden State, started with Mark Jackson and Steve Kerr is taking it to another level. TJ, let's get back to the NFL. So tonight, you got chargers cults. I don't remember if we went, we talked about the Jeff Saturday thing. Obviously they've lost a bunch of games and games, you mentioned, can you remember team losing leads? Talking about the Raiders, the colts come to mind. They've lost some of these leads. In this grand experiment, how do you think it's going? Not well. I mean, it started off with a bang, obviously. But Matt Ryan is a, he's a big reason it hasn't gone well. There's just no way around it. He's played terrible, like, Jonathan Taylor in and out of the lineup. That doesn't hurt, but Matt Ryan has not played like he was fumbling the ball, he's throwing interceptions.

"To operate by chef. In New York this week, Kevin Durant had the premiere of the movie he produced New York City point gods about New York City point guards. Mark Jackson was there and he had some, he was surprisingly critical of Steve Nash, basically directed some of the blame for the nets problems last year at Steve Nash. Now, you do have to take Mark Jackson criticisms with a grain of salt, Mark Jackson has wanted the nets job in the past. I don't doubt he would want the nets job in the future or another head coaching job. Danny NBA spot, but like I've never been a huge fan of Nash, the head coach, Brian, you know, the Boston series. The Celtics were better, but I thought he made your DOCA coach circles around Nash in different points during that series. We haven't heard much about Nash's future. I mean, you think it's a lock that he's back as head coach next season? Well, I've learned around this team. I never take anything as a pocket at this point. You know, I presume that he will be back. I'm not willing to call anything. Well, I think it's a lot that, I mean, I think it's a lot that Shaun is safe. But I do not necessarily. I wouldn't call Steve being here a lot. I haven't had any indications that they're getting rid of him. I have not heard that from anybody in the organization, but I wouldn't call anything a lot with this team because anytime you begin to think that it might be reality comes up and slaps you and reminds you that there's no certain things with the nets. Yeah, and look, a season like last can wear on you. I mean, I watched ironically, one of those years with had Kyrie Irving on the team. But I watch Brad Stevens go through it front and center every day in Boston and he eventually jumped at an opportunity to take a front office job with the southeast. You talked to Steve Nash every day last year. I mean, the stresses of that season. Like how did you see that affect him? Did it look like it wore on him as well? Actually, well, you've actually corrected me when I said every single person in there was just miserable. By the end of the season, I do have to say, Steve Nash might have been the one exception. Now, Steve Nash was tired with the situation and wanted it to be corrected. But he is as unfailingly positive, a human being. As you ever want to meet. Now that might be why he was uniquely suited to this, to be able to put up with some of the nonsense. That was going on because I think a lot of coaches would have said, listen, I can't do this. This isn't working. Right? And I'll be honest with you when they parted ways with Kenny. And you know, I get it that that's a firing. But there was some mutual aspect to that. I mean, Kenny was just flat tired. Tired of it. Now, Kenny's probably not as malleable, maybe? Like Steve can put up with some things and still not lose that giddy optimism. That he seems to have, right? So I didn't, I didn't really see it directly affecting his persona with his shoulders slumped and snapping at people. Because that's just not his way. But by the end of the season, when Steve is even pointing out some things and, oh yeah, we need to we need to change this. We need to correct this. We need to alter that. It probably carries even more weight. Or is even more noticeable. Right? I mean, that's like, I don't know, little Orphan Annie being depressed. Like, you don't see it. It doesn't happen. So when Steve Nash, she's pointing out some things

"This is your, this is the guy, everybody wants to be there, head coach. The whole not criticizing player stuff. I don't get too worked up about that because I think if you want to get back in the game, you're not going to do that. But yeah, when it's simple strategy stuff, that seems a little odd. Yeah, indeed. I mean, I think when we step back and we look at Mark Jackson's coaching candidacy, how long has it been since he's been a head coach? It's been a while. At least 5, 6 years, yeah. Probably even longer. Why is he still out there? I keep coming back then. And I've got, look, he's super polarizing. I mean, I hear Lakers fans every day. Fans of other teams too saying Mark Jackson is great. Look at the warriors. He put poured the foundation for that team. Steve Kerr just kind of took it to the next level, but Mark Jackson's a fantastic coach. I've got other people saying Mark Jackson is not a good coach at all. He's going to create problems within the organization. All that kind of stuff. So he's extremely polarizing, but I just keep going back to that. What is it that has prevented an NBA team from hiring him for the last 5, 6? However many years, it's been. To me, that is the thing that speaks the loudest here and gives me cause for concern. I hope somebody hires him if it's the kings, but I hope he has great success. I hope it works out fantastic. That would just give me pause, it feels like the teams that have been interviewing him that have been doing these really do the digging on it, obviously there's some reason why he hasn't been a coach since then. Yep. Yeah, could completely agree. Yeah, I think you, yeah, those are all fair questions to ask. And that's part of what the process is too is like, I heard you've been at least mentioned, and maybe even interviewed for several of these jobs over the last, you know, several years since you've been out of coaching, why hasn't it happened? And what do you think the reasons are? And we should note to Mark Stein says that he really impressed of a vector in a diva. And that he's really, you know, maybe has that shot at the king's job. So maybe this is all this Lakers portion of the discussion is all. All meaningless because maybe he's going to get the king's job, but I do think it is we'll see because there's definitely going to be questions to be answered of aren't hasten juvenile. What did you learn? And what are you going to do differently this time around? That's going to lead you to be more of a success and I would hope the answer isn't just nothing. I want to do exactly what I did before because I don't think that's going to go really well. Well, and Stein did mention that he will be on the Lakers list if he doesn't get the Sacramento job Mark Jackson will, but he doesn't get the sense that he's a strong chance of getting the job in LA. So something to note there as well. Let's talk so tonight we get game one between the Mavs and the Phoenix Suns, which I think is going to be really exciting series of one that I'm looking forward to..

"I've got a lot of people that are commenting on these potential hires. Look, here's the thing. I've got people saying, our Jackson should be getting an interview, all these other people. Look, and I know a lot of people think different ways about Mark Jackson, but yes, give them an interview. You leave no stone unturned. Whether it's whether you see Marc Jackson as a real candidate or not, depending on how much credit you give him for the warriors teams or was that Steve Kerr coming in. Look, you give him an interview. Again, if you are the Lakers, you cast a wide net and I'm expecting, look, we're just hearing. Just hear it. Darvin ham's name pops up, right? We've heard quin Snyder. We've heard Nick nurse. There have been a few other names that have been connected. Steve Clifford. We've heard Mike Brown, but I think we're going to hear a lot more names connected to the Lakers. This is not going to be solved overnight. It's not like tomorrow, watch now it'll probably happen. It's not like tomorrow. They're going to pop up and announce who their new head coaches. So I think this is going to be a long process. There's going to be a lot of people that are mentioned in connection to this job. In number one, because it's the Lakers, but number two, because I think that it's a good thing. If they leave no stone unturned, you interview a lot of people and you have to consider all options because the most important thing this off season is that regardless of what you do, you get it right. You have to bat a thousand this off season. I've said it a bunch of times, and that includes the coaching higher decision. In addition to the personnel moves, you have to get this right. Where does Mark Jackson rank for you amongst potential Lakers hires? Assuming Nick nurse is out of the picture. Assuming that we're with Mark Jackson right for you. I mean, it depends is dock in there. All these other coaches that were kind of waiting to see if they ultimately get let go. He's on my short list of guys that I'm interested in talking to. Is he number one on that list? No, I think there was enough smoke behind problems within the warriors organization when Mark Jackson was there that you got to be a little bit concerned about that. Now LeBron, there have been some rumors that he might be, you know, kind of pushing for Marc Jackson. Okay, maybe that gives it a little bit more credibility there. I'm not dismissing it out of hand. I'm not just saying no, this just no way it's not happening. I do question why, if he's been going after head coaching jobs, why would he have been passed upon so many times already? That leads you to wonder if there's something else there. But again, if I'm the Lakers, I'm not just dismissing anybody really. I'd like to bring them in, give them an interview and see what's there and find out. What would he do with this team and move forward from there? And again, get that kind of input. I think whoever the Lakers hire, I'm going to try to give them the benefit of the doubt. Obviously I've got my favorites, but I think I want to try to give them the benefit of the doubt.

"Ten years ago, if someone pulled up for west this point out today, you get benched. With most coaches, right? Especially if you miss one. Whereas a marketing role with that, got the confidence up and then obviously Steve came in and gave him a whole other dimension of challenging him to the ball over and not to be so loose and bold and staff just kept continuing to grow. And he's one of those guys that he has it. Whether he picks up a dot and throws it down or for the first time, like he's almost bullseye. He's just one of those guys that has it. And then you factor that in with his work here. And you get Steph Curry, but that's a very rare breed to have a guy like that. You know, there's people out there that can work day 9, but have that level of shooting and prowess and skill that he has, but he's just amazing watching him on a daily basis. It makes you feel bad about your basketball abilities when you're around him. If that makes it just a bad shooting day for him is still 30, 40% better at practice than anyone else on the floor. You mentioned Mark Jackson. I know that, you know, in a way, there's a toughness part of it, the freedom for Steph, but I remember when I first heard the rumblings of like, yeah, there might be a better fit somewhere else. I know in the past, you know, I don't want to get the quotes wrong, but I think there were times you sounded at least publicly like you weren't always in love with maybe what he was saying after the fact. What's the fairest way to assess the end of the march Jackson run as you guys transitioned into a different obviously ended up being curb. But I don't know if you look back at it differently now or in the moment how it felt. Yeah, I think he was an integral part of the journey. I don't doubt that whatsoever. You know, he was around a quarry as the warriors were a dumpster fire everyone. Couldn't win games, couldn't get any longevity with rosters that was always can you guys every season? Who are we building around? Who's our guy? It was always like that. So he was good as far as bringing guys in and putting a little bit of a culture there. But to be honest with you, I think he took us as far as we could go..

There was a little bit more than a minute to go. Punting it back to the chiefs. Without much time on the clock with the chiefs they would have just needed a field goal. The odds of that. Against patrick mahomes not the best right. And lamar jackson had the confidence to go for it on fourth and one and don harbaugh had the confidence in his quarterback to allow him to make that decision. And if they didn't get it the you know they would almost certainly lose but getting that first down they solidified the win..

In seven second round they drop the first two games against utah before blowing out the jazz in game. Three coed in playoff paul. Were both at the top of their games and they look like they were. The higher seeded team not jazz. George seems to be putting his playoff struggles behind him at least for now but it's hard to trust that los angeles we'll take a step back in their next game. Good luck trying to figure this team out. Because i have no idea. What clipper team is gonna show up in this next game. Poll question mclellan. What do you have for me today. Okay so our to was Who's coming out of the east. Milwaukee kind of ran away with it. Here's a poll question. I hesitate to bring up. You're going gonna think i'm anti yokich but but you are. I am but that's besides. The point does the fact that he lost his series in four games waterdown. Mvp award no. It will now immediately that reaction but they weren't a great team. They bordered on being a good team. He's probably not going to win another. Mvp he probably isn't it's like dirk nowitzki dirk one is one and then they bowed out in the first round of the playoffs. Did it take away from him. Winning the mvp. Yeah in the in the moment. Yeah if you were voting for mvp. Today chris.

"Same numbers to seed. Still wins the M V p this year. Kansas City is the one bills have another good year. They win the A F. C East to seed he throws for 4500 yards, same kind of season. You're probably right that see, that's what I'm trying to be the one seed like how that's the that's what I'm going for, because and again, by the way, I forgot to mention he did lead the most the highest scoring offense and this conference. Of course, he lost after the guy who had the highest scoring offense, the NFL Like that's what do you do for an encore? When that wasn't an M v p winning season? How do you get? How do you top it? Number two. Scoring all the stats rewrote the franchises record book led him to the best season in 25 years, one of division to cede 12 playoff game. I mean, what do you do? Once he'd write again. It depends on your peers. I mean, the NDP isn't an award. It's not a race with the finish line. It's you put up your numbers and what's the rest of the market? Maybe market do. It was Roger's third M V P Mark Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Brady, Ryan Newton, Peyton Manning, 15 Theo, the award goes to lately it goes to the best of the best quarterback to season. They might, they might as well change the name of the award. And Was Allen, the best quarterback in football last year. That's what it comes down to was he the best was Roger's better? People. I just felt Roger tough call because they felt it was better watch. It's like it's so close to to meet, and I mean, it's not like the homes was bad. No. You know, I mean, like where we get because we're at the point with my home's where you expect Stellar. I mean, you expect eye popping numbers and you know, I almost wonder like, is this one of those things where it almost hurts a guy for M V P standards when you're so damn good. That. How do you keep voting for Miss M v? P. When you know he's going to do all this stuff anyway, you know, I think the opposite is true. I think once you win it, you're more likely to win it again. Really? I mean, pay many at five. Yeah, and Roger's got his third. You know what set Rogers apart. You said it's so close and Rogers vs Alan Versus Mahomes. I mean, I'm not sure I'm not sure, but I mean they were one seed and they had the highest scoring offense. So is that pretty much what the edge was rare in Roger's think That's what it is. I think if you want Alan when the M V P he's got to get the one seed or peace, come and beat Kansas City for No. Doesn't matter if you well, Kevin said he had to head to compress people in the regular, So yeah. I don't know. Although he finished ahead of my homes in the voting last year, right, so forget that he did. So, Yeah, it didn't matter. He lost to Kansas City, and he still beat out the homes in the voting attacks. The rights in house No one talking about Derrick Henry last year when he rushed for 2000 yards wasn't even considered M v P candidate. I don't understand that. What if he does that again with a few more touchdowns, and this actually gets to the conversation Also about the M V P Will running back ever win it again, man. I mean, and I say that. Let's say Derrick Henry puts up 2200 yards. Because the league is such a passing league, and there's there's a school of thought a dominant opinion that running backs are replaceable. So even if you are the best running back I think you'd have a lot of people that do the voting that would say I'm not going to vote for running back. I don't think you could possibly be the M V P at that position anymore. The only other rights been quarterbacks and running backs since Lawrence Taylor 1986 and Right. There's no receiver. No, no receivers. Not of course not. I got to go back to 86. I was thinking And since 2007 Jerry Rice, 86 linebacker, 87 receiver since then, nothing but quarterbacks and running backs. Running backs. Thurman, Terrell Davis. Barry Sanders, I shall fall. Don't see Jerry Rice winning the MVP award in 87. No, I want it. Oh, I'm looking at the pro football writer. So, yes, You're right. No wide receivers exclusively quarterback it. We're looking at different GPS. I did. I did. N v P Associated Press NFL N. V P Award! Okay, I've got the pfw. Okay? I'm not sure which is the I was looking at the AP think AP is the one. We're talking about it If it's a P No receiver or receivers, just quarterbacks and running back since Lawrence Taylor in 1986, When will receiver ever win it? Oh, gosh. How did Randy Moss not waiting to see if the receiver wins it? It's because he's got 2000 receiving girls like you'd have to be. You have to Wall away the receiving record, right? Nobody's ever had 2000 receiving yards yet, right? 18 whatever. Calvin Johnson did. Oh, crap. Forget, and he never forget it. Because you know what happens if you get Did you get the 19 sixties? Even even still, if you get to 2000 receiving yards, guess what your quarterback is probably thrown for 5000. Maybe. The quarterback would probably get Yeah. Calvin Johnson. You have a big Johnson got 1964. And he didn't win. He didn't win. Of course there was. They were a good team, either, right, right. I think of running for running back to win the award. Man. You know if you'd have to be this guy is such he carries your offense. In a passing league. You're passing game was met and this running back Was the reason why you won football games was the reason why your offense scored. You know, he was a bell cow guy. They just loaded up on Kerry's. He was the best weapon in your offense. He beat loaded boxes. I mean, this guy would have to have Would carry his offensive team for a season and they'd still have to be a good team, by the way. Can't be on a bad team. Well, first off. You can't do any of that. If your quarterbacks no good. So that's gonna upset just it's too easy to stop the running. You're describing Derrick Henry and Yeah, it wasn't even a candidate. Right? That's why I'm saying that. That's why I'm building the case for how difficult it is for right back to win in this league because you have to be The main weapon on the offense. And stop Donald That ever happened, right? And if you're if you're that if the quarterback is that average he would put just like nine guys in the box and say, Let's stop the running back, so it's I think it's really difficult. Unless you know a guy breaks the sink, just obliterates the single season rushing record, And even then Probably not a lock. A real quick note. NFL note. That's another sign of things getting back to normal. Joint practices between NFL teams. The box and titans will have joint practices. I saw you wanna a different sport note of getting back to normal. I believe it was. The Indians announced yesterday. Full capacity at home games beginning June 2nd. Right now. I don't know how many office many times they get full capacity at their games these days, but they can have full capacity by June 2nd. That's a good sign, too. That's right. By the way we can. "TV Any type of digital presentation that we used to call, you know, television? Um, I think in 10 years you'll have options and how you watch it. And it won't just be like, Well, we'll have you know Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson on one stream, and then we'll have ninja. You know how important I came on another stream and then we'll have Local kids, You know, because bandwidth is will be pretty much open and available. You know, you could have 100 different versions of live games, but I think even more to that we'll start to see different. The types of live game presentation that may look more like what Tic Tac looks like today. So that you know young kids today. Like my 11 year old son, My 14 year old daughter. Their alternative to boredom is being on tick talk. You and I grew up turning on the TV and 500 channels and nothing on With TIC Tac because of the way uses a I. ITT learns what the user likes. And if you like basketball like for me when I get on tic tac, my son when he gets on Tic tac, it's you know, 90% stream of basketball highlights. And we'll learn from that and how we present the game. So that even alive game you might see 80% of possessions or 60% of the possessions or 100% of the possessions in a tic tac like continuity. Just because that's how you like to consume it and using artificial intelligence. It'll learn how you like to consume. Live games, and if you miss a live games, it will learn how you like to consume them. You know, almost like the old school, Notre Dame. Um, presentations on TV. We move forward into the third quarter, right? And we'll just put that in a tic tac like presentation. I think that's what it's gonna look like going forward. That's gonna be fascinating. And I know you'll be in the middle of all of it. I saw a president E. I got one more for you. One more thing. I do this thing.

"The bills credit the Bills, man credit the bills, and I think they're going to be a tough out for the Chiefs at certainly, if the Bills catch a break, and they get to host the Browns point, what a story that would be right? The Browns and the Bills. Maybe the two most beleaguered fan bases over the over the recent long term, you know, over the last Couple of decades. Both those fan base is finally getting off a two decade plus schneid of winning a playoff game. How fun would that be? That would be like when the Cubs and the Indians were playing each other in the World Series a few years ago. So that would be pretty cool. Say that would be pretty cool as someone who roots for a team here in Houston where I feel like this is the direction my franchise is going. I feel like we're about to become the bills of the Browns of the last couple of decades. So to that, I say, salute the actual bills and browns. There's a decent chance. One of you is going to a Super Bowl this year. Now the chief stand in the way and they're the best team in the NFC. I don't think they're the best team in the NFL think the Packers are But they're the best team in the A F. C. The other question now is with Baltimore, Lamar Jackson. They got a big decision to make with Lamar Jackson. Lamar Jackson, Josh Alan Baker Mayfield. These are all prominent quarterback sitter gonna be done with their first three years in the league. This offseason. Mark Jackson is done. Alan Mayfield still playing right now. BMO for teams around the league has been Too, if you feel like your quarterback is a star level quarterback To pay them after three years, or at least agree to the extension After three years, Carson Wentz and Jared Goff. I think those are two contracts that are probably cautionary tales for the Ravens. Maybe even for the Browns. They like the bills. Probably. We're going to get ready and go ahead and pull the trigger on Josh Allen legit M V P candidate this year. Lamar Jackson's An actual M V. P was an VP last year, but I think we've seen enough of Lamar in the post season now. Three straight years where Lamar has been Maura the issue than the solution in the postseason when they fall behind in these games. Who is he? A guy that you commit 40 year to Lamar Jackson. I don't know. Wasn't so sure. Last year he won the damn M v p of the league. So I think that's the big question. Carson Wentz and jerk off two years ago they both got paid. I think both those teams arranging the Eagles having some buyer's remorse, right? This past offseason Patrick Mahomes to Shawn Watson. I think the buyer's remorse there is into Shawn Watson, wishing he probably had signed the deal wishing he had kind of kept himself open to some options moving forward. No, The Texans make no mistake would have used the franchise tag on him and everything else to try to keep him and I think they're going to try to keep him now. Really the only one of those four deals that got ain't big money deals. 30 35 in the case of homes, 40 plus million dollars a year. Watson too. It's the only one that's really working out. Create is my homes. You know Winston Goff Buyer's remorse in the team. Watson not happy with the team that he signed the deal with So what do you do if your Baltimore You go ahead and give Lamar Jackson that big deal. Is he the guy that can get you over the hump? What if someone steals? Greg Roman is your offensive coordinator now No one's come calling for Greg Roman, and I don't know that he's head coach material. That's a very specific system that they run until Lamar Jackson becomes better throwing the football. That's the system they're running. And we've seen with the Achilles heel is you fall behind in those games system not quite as effective. So what do you do? Baker Mayfield. These are some big big day's coming up for him, man. He can sew up that big. Don't think Josh Allen's already sewn it up. But what do you do? Oh, hey, If you're Baltimore, do you call the Texans? About the Shawn Watson. I think that's a great topic, so we'll get it all that is we roll on with the show 855 to 1 to four, CBS Steve Physic two time Super Contest winner pregame dot com. We're gonna talk some handicapping. What are his picks on these games coming up today? What's he looking at? As we look ahead to next week, one of the matchups that he thinks from a handicapping standpoint, he's most hoping for Next week's a F C. An NFC title games. We didn't.

They got back from the morgue, Jackson type football. Just be a ball. I was happy to see that he stopped listening to everybody's attention. Special talents various US Any can can mirror this speed a plays at and what he's able to build two of the hottest teams on the girls and the raisins. What did the playoff win Last week means for Lamar Jackson. This is prime time on ESPN radio and the ESPN app. Be sure to tell your smart speaker to play ESPN. I'm in the golden alongside Mike Wells, and it's time for straight talk brought to you by straight talk Wireless and we head out to the Goodyear Hotline and bring in Jamison Hensley. ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison What did winning that game last week meaning for Lamar Jackson? It took a lot of weight off my shoulders. I'm throwing a lot of weight because all he had heard that away a year ago at this time after losing to the Titans In the divisional playoff round was Can you win in the post and he he had only been going to? But because he had been so spectacular in the regular season and really below average in the postseason, people kept saying Well, How can he not carry that over into when the games matter the most So for him to go out, have such a great game against the Titans and and and do it in a fashion where After the first quarter. He was down $10 and each of his two previous postseason games is both losses. He faced early deficit and in those previous games. Every time you thought behind. It felt like the Mystics snowballed on him. But last weekend when he faced a 10, not the deficit, kept his composure made big plays brought this team back. Actually, first time he rallied the rave, in fact, from a double digit deficit, the first time his whole career So now he was able to win a postseason game. But he was able also approved. Hey, I can rally these guys when I need to. Jamison. How you doing? Good. Good. Good to catch up with you. When you think about the Ravens, people all the hype surrounding Josh Alan and what Buffalo has done. I mean, the one with 10 out of the last 11 games. If I'm not mistaken this Lamar Jackson and Ravens duty mind being underdog because Of not having the expectations of having to be the favorite in a playoff game. You mean this is a very unusual situation for them, because when you have the Mark Jackson in most games, you can be considered the favorite. It's one of the few times I think you have to go back. Tonto, was it? It was made it just one time earlier this year where they were actually a betting underdog s. So it is an unusual situation for them, but in talking toe Lamar and talking to the players and the coaches this week It was a much more relaxed feel. I'm not saying that if they lose this game, it doesn't really matter to them. But I think going into this game not being it's not having the expectation that they're supposed to win this game and having already won a postseason game. I it almost. Could you get the sense that No, it didn't have much to lose in this one. And I think in that situation, I wouldn't be surprised if because they're now much looser than they were last week. If they have a quicker start, and that's one of the big problems. With the Mark Jackson this Ravens team. They have hid, not score one point in the first quarter in the in the in the postseason with Lamar to three games. They've been outscored the first court 23 Nothing. So I think The looser they might have a fist to start today. He's Jamison Hensley, ESPN Ravens reporter. This is prime time on ESPN radio. I'm in the golden alongside Mike Wells. Want to give everyone a quick score? Update. Green Bay Up 25 to 10 with 5 50 left. In the third quarter. Jamison Lotta Quarter bags from that 2018 draft in the playoffs this year. Two of them, you know, playing later tonight, and Lamar in Josh Baker Mayfield playing tomorrow. Who won the 2018 quarterback draft. Pressure. A. Honestly it's the two projects that I mean, when you when you looked at that draft, Baker Mayfield was a proven winner. And Arnold was the prototypical size. You know, he was the cleanest prospect. And then you had Josh Rosen, who was considered the most NFL ready, so I mean, they were set it up and down. The first three seasons. Sam Donald could be traded this all season and just throws that has won his 14. So when you look at Josh Alan and Lamar Jackson things air, two quarterbacks that I think most people thought if they were gonna really breakthrough is probably gonna be in your four. Your five. But we're third year and they're playing for a trip to go the F C championship game, so they have really exceed actually ankle Mark Jack. He made his big jump. In his rookie season to his second season recently to now, Josh Allen is making that jump from a second year to his 30th. James and I saw they forgot about Josh Rosen. Me. Emmett and I were talking about that 2018 class earlier in the show, and we were completely forgot to mention Josh Rose's name. That's probably a good thing. Unless you're the Arizona Cardinals and talking about trying to forget that way. When you look at this game, obviously, you know, I watch Josh Allen last week. And what he did to the Colts defense. Um what does Baltimore have to do to try to slow that slow? Josh and Stefan digs down. Well, first, you gotta get a least some pressure on him. And the last time they played Joshua was a different challenge. But it was back in December of 2019. They sacked six times. So the key is Once you get to him, bring him down to the ground, and it's hard said done them. He's a big guy and the ravensdefense coordinator. Don wait, Martingale said. You know what? They went against Derrick Henry. And yes, he was a running back. But the same principles apply that once you get to a big runner like Josh Allen sometime You need to get everybody on him and bring him to the ground, So I think it's not only trying to get pressure on Josh Alan, but it's also making him if you could get that back. Bring him down. Don't let him escape and extend plays. I think that's where the rains are really concerned is what he can escape the pocket and they're pro bowl corners and Marcus Peters and Marla come pick. They could hold coverage for a while, but when you extend plays It really put the law stressful that secondary, So I think that's the biggest concern. The Ravens have go to get shot down. Jamison, which Q B is under more pressure, Alan or Jackson. I actually I think it's more Josh challenges because he's come in. He's you know the home team. You know, Lamar he won last week, but, you know I just don't get the sense that I think last week was up. You know all the quarterbacks. Last week. All the pressure was on the Mark Jackson. I don't see it too much. And honestly, I mean, I see that much when Josh because most people didn't even expect Josh Allen to be at this point in the playoffs. At the beginning of the season. So I do feel, though, with these two quarterbacks going head to head. I think this is going to be the most competitive game that will see all weekend. Hey, you say more competitive than the old man game, Right? Hey, with Joshua Heller. We We kind of joked with Josh Alan and Lamar Jackson 24 You have the History Channel game, Then you have like this one. It's like the Nick Jr cake. Right. Nickelodeon Later, girl. Nothing tonight. Great stuff. Jameson. We appreciate you spending some time with us. Hey, have a great rest Your show, guys. Thank you. Thank you. There he is. Mark Jackson is the reason why Mark Jackson isn’t an NBA head coach
"Joe. Lake. Up after mark was let go had a bunch of quotes This was one of them that I found co part of it was that he couldn't get along with anybody else in the organization and look you did a great job. I'll always compliment him mini respects but you. Can't have two hundred people in the organization, not like you. Okay. and he said when I say the organizations whole I don't just mean the team just fifteen players that are involved in the coaching staff I mean everybody there's two hundred employees here. So we look at the organization going forward and the kind of coach we want and not just the performance everything else all these factors matter. We took all of that into account. So we have the player part of it. We have the owner part of it. We knew the front office didn't like him when one of the assistance. was busted for recording Jackson in meetings to play for the front office, which again that actually becomes a pro mark Jackson part of it. The Mark Jackson staff was not good enough the ownership in front office told him repeatedly, the staff is good. Enough Mark said we have the best staff going he and scalping apparently got into it and scalloping he was reassigned the front office didn't like that part of it. So we have the players have the staff we have the ownership we have the front office. Let's also talk about some of the other stuff that's just let's face it. Weird Jackson's Amana Faith I. Don't question anyone's faith. I just say to you leave me alone and I'll do my thing That's the way I've always operated and that rubs people wrong way when he was a head coach but also would find time to get to La whenever he had a convenient off day to go and do that. It's tough to tell a man of faith. Hey, you know what don't be that interested in God? That's that's an almost impossible conversation but if I was at ESPN or anywhere and said, Hey, you know what? I can't watch football this weekend. Because I have this higher calling eventually it worked they'd be like, Hey, you know what? Man Like this is all part of the job being availalbe around is very difficult in tough thing to navigate as I'm not even hundred percent comfortable doing it but I'd have to say employer at the time being frustrated by it actually makes a little bit of sense and I think there's other things that just bumped people out when curry had his ankle issues he was brought up in it was kind of a playful thing curry's brought up they put the holy oil on his ankle and. Jackson's wife at the time and Pete Jackson was like look like he had chronic ankle problems and now he doesn't. So you figure it out. That's one of those things where people like wait what Jackson also had some issues off the core where he was caught up extortion deal and I'm not even really getting on his case for that because I think a lot of things happen to people that are public figures that goes on normal people's lives. But the public figure becomes the of jokes on and on and on. He also said when asked about Jason Collins availability years ago. He said not in my locker room. So it came off as if he was a homophobe because there's evidence that he is, and then when he was asked to clear that up, he said look I know Jas I know his family and I'm praying for them right now. Hey, man you save your fucking prayers. Okay. That's the kind of stuff that just doesn't play no matter who you are and I think the. Most important part of all of this because I guess I'm still maybe a little surprised that he doesn't have a job because other people have been on TV and not been great on. TV. I've looked at other coaches that haven't had great runs and there's been plenty of people that have gotten second chances by the way both black and white. So when I see people out raged that he's been blackballed or as. Shannon Sharpe said White Bald or Kendrick Perkins recently, just saying like all of these things that I just going off on the idea that Mark Jackson doesn't have job it really feels like, okay. Are you informed and but yet you've made up your mind decided not to change your mind or are you uninformed and I think so many people screaming about this or like Oh wait that's right. You know maybe either moments you had just now listening to this like Oh, that's right. I've nothing personal against Mark Jackson. He's one of my favorite college basketball players of all time all-time. You guys know how huge of a Saint John's Fan I am and I actually was you know as a little kid be like dude I can't believe he's going this late in the draft is GonNa be awesome and he was awesome in the knicks I felt so vindicated I was. Like and I could refer team right one day I love Mark Jackson and I was right. But when I listened to him on the broadcast Van Gundy I, think him being on the broadcast Van Gundy chances of getting a job because if I was worth a half a billion dollars or more and had the opportunity to own a team or owned a team right now and I'd go. Van Gundy's on all of these little things like, Hey, look at how they blind me Anthony Davis on free throws already have them on the other side of the court. So he can seal for Deepak smaller offender will there be an adjustment. Hey, what's going on with the substitution? Hey, this rule's actually wrong. Why are they doing it? This Way Jeff Van Gundy will say, here's Hey Jason tatum something's wrong with him. He's the first pointed out it happens multiple times every single broadcast Jeff Van Gundy is easily the best NBA analyst in the game right now. Mark doesn't do any of those things and I. Don't know if that's just him not being comfortable in that role but he's a coach. He's a former player and he doesn't do any of those things. He'll say, Hey, this guy's not just a great score. He's a great individual. He's a human being. Okay. So and so doesn't get enough credit for shooting. Okay. In everything is results based. If the shot goes in, it was a great shot at the shot doesn't go in Hey, that's the guy that shouldn't be taking the shot. It's very. It's very minimal depth and when. You have people that make these decisions. You're almost instead of looking at the resume in Golden State which is on its surface again resume. You'd say Yeah. What like six years? Nicholas gives Scott his shot young team garnered play defense that's hard to do. But I think being next to Jeff. When Jeff runs circles around him on the broadcast. It it might remind go wait why why is this one guy way better talking about the game than the other guy so I think the best thing market do would not be on the broadcast with Jeff and who knows what might happen. So I just think the more we look at it and hey man trust me this is not white guy decide to push back on racism segment because I've. Probably done with those the rest of my life. I'm seeing specific to this one because the NCAA numbers are atrocious. The ABC's the head coaching. Diversity that we have in the pro sports leagues still is not what it needs to be I'm not pushing back on any of those things. But when it comes specific to mark Jackson, there are the informed in the uninformed, and hopefully if you've resisted this, you're more informed now.

Game 5 wraps up of the 2020 Finals
"Moments after exciting. One of the best, finals games in recent memory. Game Five Heat Eke Ekit out to live another day and joining Zach tonight now Chris. Bosh. It wasn't quite. Five to Allen for three. It was quite Bosch Talon. But this is up there with one of the biggest heat wins in history I mean. For sure. It's an incredible game. What did you think of it? Man You know I, it is starting to be one of those series that's just kind of grinding to a halt. You thought that was going to happen is not happening. Everything, every player that she thought was going give this particular stat line is not it's not really transpiring right now but I mean, you have to give all credit to the heat and I kept telling people this in all these interviews you know how can get? The Lakers. Over they've got the uniforms on and I just like, okay he don't WanNa be here but let me tell you something. These guys if there's anybody. Who would embrace a difficult situation? It is Erik Spoelstra and Butler seems to really. Thrive off of that and anticipate that. affected. So it's Kinda like a marker will really hard is. Like they say, Oh hey yeah, we're here now. We're supposed to be competing for championship. This is how it's supposed to be. You know is this all about survival now there they've lived to play another day and that's what you gotta do. I think it's time to just acknowledged. Once and for all that, the heat had become a great team you know there was always this question of. Did they benefit from the hiatus hiatus in everything the bubble shake the bucks more than other teams. Did they benefit from hayward getting injured a really good. You. Know this Lakers seem his lost one game in every playoff series. Until now, they have not lost to to a heat team that is missing its leading postseason score until this series Goran dragic that they could started to acknowledge Jimmy Butler. The top ten player. Yeah that'd be we're. GonNa. Have to rearrange the rankings because this dude just put up thirty five, twelve eleven in forty seven minutes forty seven minutes and five and a half whatever it is it's the game you play dull game. Survived forty thirteen seven on fifteen of twenty-one masterpiece from the Brian. James we can talk about the end of the game if you want. Everyone can focus on the end of the game, but the heat put themselves in position to win at the end of the game. Duncan. Robinson was unbelievable. They're shotmaking was outstanding and this team just keeps in with Bam out bio clearly, not one hundred percent missing layups, missing dunks, he can play better he. To acknowledge the heat now are are for real and just like you were saying, they're short handed to. So you know we need to keep that in mind You can only imagine how the series would be a little different Gora was out there and not that he's just going to be that dominating presence, but he gives them another layer. To their attack and you know they have that team cohesion down pack and I mean, I don't really know where the lapses with the Lakers are happening with dunkin' Robinson. He's making them pay every time. I. Mean He's moving himself up into Lee Company every game because you don't expect them the thing you know you don't think he's going to continue to go on the street. He's he's gone on and you'll eventually figure that a veteran is GonNa get into them and just chase him to the bathroom. But but it hasn't happened yet and I mean they're making them pay every single time and. Boy I. Tell You. We'll. We'll see what happens game six. Years especially with a hobbled a little bit man. That's one of the big cities we should probably get to. Well, let's let's talk about the end of the game real quick. Okay. So a Frank Vogel Lakers coach has come out after this game and said that there were bad calls at the end. Jimmy Butler getting to the line I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree he's probably GonNa give find. Lakers lead the Lakers up one. He, ball they run a beautiful fast play for Jimmy Butler gets A. He screwed good play Lebron not. because. Eighty one moving so whilst I foot Lebron on. Screen Lebron and she goes up but Jeff Van Gundy called on the broadcast he he floats see I mean. It in verticality your whole. Career. Frank Vogel helped invent it with Roy but. He floats. He fails right? That's a foul. Yes. Afoul he jumped into them. You know good call by the resident and you have to give you know usually referees are getting tough time I. Think they called a Great Game Day You can always look on both sides and say, well, if an if but if they're even in the game is tied and the players they're the ones who are dictating what happens out there. Hopefully, the game isn't called. You know at the end by you know free throws or anything like that but all. Evenly called Game I. Feel. Throws. Yeah, each team had their opportunities and. Jimmy Man Jimmy Butler man he's he's continuing to do it. Man I gotta I gotta you gotTa give him props he's going to make give him props I. Mean he put them on their own is back in those last minutes. Man I mean, the one leg get he's hidden one legged fadeaway. You know he's hitting the free throws down the stretch to dribble I mean he's He's shoot free throws when you're that exhausted and not just. Did you her second he was going to miss you like just. To, to, of course, you were not you think he's GonNa Miss One because as a player I know how I would feel I'm GonNa Miss One. On. THAT TIRED Like him going over when he was leaned over panting after getting fouled, you know they burned a time out after that but. Just him just still being able to muster up whatever could and having a concentration suppose still had Chris Bosh on his roster. He would have run that play where you went to the back side. And the coroner. You. Come on you. Play for last second shot several times. So okay. So it makes a two free throws come down. They call time out again, Van Gundy and Mark Jackson. Call on this game all over this. Danny Green is in the game with a know Dunkin Robinson's on Danny Green. They know that they're going to run the screen to try to force Dunkin Robinson they know there's going to be a double with Lebron that's exactly what happens Lebron Drives Zach he drives into a crowd. There's three is three and a half guys there. He makes the basketball play Chris Bosh, which he is made for fifteen years since he's been starting to the playoffs, throws it to the Open Guy Danny. Green is a thirty eight percent three point shooter from that spot according to second spectrum is wide open. So I'll I'll throw them another couple of percentage points. And he missed it. Well I know Danny wants that one back. you know he made the right play it was a crowd I. I think he had the mentality to say, you're not going to beat us. We're sending everything in the kitchen saying and we're just going to close the shooters. They got the play that they were looking for. It was a tremendous play Danny Green slipped out. You kinda tell that the heat we're anticipating that play. Brahms. So able to make a very decent pass out the Danny grains got he got his hands on he stepped right into it. Any other time nine times out of ten he'll make that shot. You know he missed it what the interesting thing was on the rebound market Moore's he had plenty of time and he kind of made a quick decision Brian, opened on the right wing, which is always easy to say a new usually. Yeah. You throw it to ad but he had another big on you know and that was just man I was a tough light. It was very tough sequence. Watching film you. In it again now. You. Know Marquee Foucault Danny Green like he just handed the ball to hand off again Danny was right there funny though when he's when you through the LOB. Through. It I looked under the Rim I saw a d. and I thought again the balls just hand in mid Air I thought okay. I hate that decision because ad Mike, I'm putting the referees in play a little bit their down one, and then of course, the pass was that not an accurate he choked right let's just say. I'm not saying I would say that to mark keeps face in this moment. Do not say that Bryant don't say that. He. What do you WanNa say it's choked. Well he also as you pointed out before we started, you know they were setting the screen it they set for Jimmy on the on the go ahead. Free throws a flat screen by crowder and the flat screen is designed. You know Chris knows when your face in half court, it's designed to make defense. Gessler. Like which way to go, but it is an which wishing the pick he went he went from an angle to switching to the flat. kind of this weird in between space and if you don't, if if you're not demonstrative about your coverage, you'll get exploited

Remembering John Lewis, a tenacious fighter who got into "good trouble"
"A civil rights icon. When Georgia Congressman John Lewis died on Friday, he was 80 years old, and he died of pancreatic cancer. Louis spent his life fighting for the rights of others first as a student activist, then, as a congressman representing Atlanta for more than three decades. He was also the last surviving speaker from the 1963 March on Washington. Which he helped plan when he was just 23 years old. We do not get that. Mark Jackson. And up until his death, he continued to fight for voting rights is a very difficult time that we're going through in America. My greatest fears that when they we may wake up. In a democracy is good. Cannot afford to let that happen Long as I have dress in my body. I would do what I can. I'm

Lamar Jackson, Ravens QB, lands cover for Madden 2021
"So the mark Jackson announced he will be the cover athlete for Madden twenty one is only the second ravens player to ever be on the cover ray Lewis was on the cover in two thousand five he was asking he was concerned about the infamous Madden curse and he said I'm not worried Patrick Mahomes was on the front and he wanted to be P. so I want that curse at left to follow the path of M. V. P. then the Superbowl homes on the cover last year after the MVP season then obviously we know what he did this year winning the Superbowl so maybe the Madden curse is over but that seems appropriate yeah mark Jackson will be on the cover people are tweeting out clips of him doing Maddon type moves and I mean we haven't we haven't seen him play in a while obviously because it's not football season but man he's he the league isn't such a great position moving forward the quarterback position across the way that it's evolving it's so fun to watch and quickly I got out and now like there in six games later they're ready to play and highlight any and he's just he's such a thrill to watch because he not only puts these incredible movies and I he gets out of bounds are down so good at avoiding the head home to that it's just you can watch without that that horrible anxiety of like he's going to take a big hit he knows how to to get that actually got to get out of bounds

Inside Donald Sterling's Clippers Era
"Grew up in los angeles in the eighties and i remember watching clipper games on t._v.'s a kid. The games themselves weren't weren't really anything to talk about. I mean the team almost never won and yet the voice of the clippers ralph lawler. Somehow made me care well. That was my job and part of the craft. I just felt that was my job to find a way to keep people interested did in a game. That very often wasn't very interesting because we had a lot of those lottie years. That weren't very interesting but there's always a story to tell if fifteen win season there's some young player or players that you've got a story to tell about them that that humanizes them. That makes people likes them makes people root for them. How rookie was a master at making the clippers likable no matter how much they lost honestly think a lot of fans tuned in for ralph more than the basketball because god knows there was no one at the actual arena except for penny marshall and billy crystal. How did you become a clipper fan because no one was a clipper. They asked me to play. They said listen. We only get four guys tonight. Can you still dribble sports arena. Yeah i had tickets for awhile and we they were great but there was no challenge you know and then a friend of mine calls it's come on. Do you want to go see the clippers play as a all right. There was nobody there. I mean it was a triple double meant. There were three couples. Uh at every level the clippers screamed not showtime but that didn't seem to bother donald sterling or at least it didn't seem to register register. He got a lot of negative press but it was attention. People knew his name and he liked that. That's kind of all. He really wanted to be the center center of attention. That's why he started throwing his party's. They were fabulous donald and shelly sterling's infamous white parties so called because i guess we're expected to come wearing white. Everybody came in white except for donald who got to wear black. L. is just fabulous. It was just a big white party. The biggest white party took place at the end of summer as a way to kick off the basketball season. We'd have the players there. They'd get up on stage and a lot of the fans and a lot of ticket holders. Were there down in the white. Show intel tell don casey attended the party's when he was a coach for the clippers westie cups like this high so you can't drink too much wine little hotdog sticks in a multi-million ekberg. His bailable white party is notorious after uh-huh one time with my wife i i was never allowed to go again. It wasn't quite my style anyway but was so seedy an oily about it is he'd have forgive me but it's true he'd have like grade c actors and actresses. The hangers on the people wanted to get back in show business but he'd also mingle mingle with people who were stars. Billy crystal was one any hired more than just impersonators. There were some lovely ladies walking turnaround. Donald called them hostesses. He had them at every party. He threw he'd actually advertised for them in the paper looking for california model types but they were glorified. Call girls there to look good and entertain. The male guests and shelley had to smile and endure it another public humiliation at the hands for husband too much one. The shelly said maybe not enough. There was always a photographer roadster. He had to have a private photographer for everything everything he did. Give a hand to america where he were walking around him. His voice was talking. He was like yes fabulous. This the mirror quentin richardson was drafted by the clippers in the first round of the two thousand draft he was from chicago played college ball there and then declared for the draft after his sophomore year he was barely twenty years old when he landed in los angeles inexperienced his first donald sterling party. We know we were there whereas the is is his guest athletes but then you had i guess you would say his friends and his normal guest is like you know definitely not the same type hyper looking crowd is we are and so for us. We will kind of standing there and just check everything out and it's like you know. This is for a lot out of us the first time this is the first preseason team type owners meaning or house or any of that. We've ever been to have been involved in so i'm i'm dislike. I'm be respectful say will serve because then i'm over here may want it all and we wanted with player los angeles. This was the best part of the party for donald sterling showing off his players. Don't need have the individual players. Stand up and tell why they love l._a. One of his favorite questions and so you'd have all these guys standing ended up you know danny manning and charles smithson yom mark jackson and stand up and say why they i love l._a. And there's a lot of beautiful girls aren't there and i'm you hong. Come on please. I remember four wilt chamberlain who was getting up there and he was almost at the end of his life and he looked very rail thin to me but he says what what am i doing here. I see you you tell me he goes. I don't even know this guy. It was almost heartbreaking. I was just like okay. I'm ready for somebody to make the first move so soon as somebody else leave. I'm gone like i just don't want to be the first one to leave but from out of here he would hold your hand and just would not let go was it was really really uncomfortable. I mean all my god you. He just wanted to someplace else. The thing is as awkward as these parties were. Donald never seemed happier. He got to be the bell of his own ball and for a few hours a captive audience had to at least pretend to think it was really cool that he owned the worst human basketball because in real life no one was donald sterling so donald found ways to manufacture that for himself to force the conversation to the fact that he he owned the clippers whoever happened to walk up he would ask him advice about the team he would go to the airport after a game and the baggage handlers i would say donald sterling over to me and said. Do you think we should trae. Danny manning you talk to the waiter to restaurant talked to usher at the games is famous. This thing is what i think of my coach just as likely he'd be listening to a cabdriver as he would be to a general manager a scout in bach loud he would call me sometimes was late at night. You know i'm roy firestone. You know everybody. You've watched all these interviews. Tell me about larry brown and why he should be the coach of our team. It's ten hindu eleven at night. It's the owner of the clippers. I'm not a basketball coach analysts. He goes roy. Your opinion matters you know he called billy crystal said. What do you think of larry brown. If you say i should hire him. I'm hiring them. Billy crystal must've told him to hire larry brown because he did and it was a good higher in one thousand nine hundred and again in nineteen ninety-three brown actually led the clippers to the playoffs for the first time since before donald on the team but then

Rams, Chicago Bears And Jared Goff discussed on PTI
"The Chicago Bears smothered the Rams last night. She'll job the Rams entered the game averaging thirty five points per game. That was left with six and B B candidate Todd Gurley got twenty eight yards. Jared goff. Intercepted four times. Sean McVay for all his genius. Got nothing. We'll bond you love defense. So are you now a at the defense can win a Super Bowl this year? I don't know Tony. I mean, the league is done everything it can to make sure that the bears and the ravens are not able to advance things. They're the best to their their best to. That's right. Other teams like the saints. And the Rams they have guys who make defensive plays. They don't make that. They don't smother you foreign entire game. I'm encouraged by this. That's a real bears victory. That's real football to me. Not fifty four fifty one. You can have that garbage. All you want. What they did last night too. Yes. The genius young coach. And he is the great young quarterback was in the top five m v MVP with Jared Goff. They snuff them. Go like it was the nineteen eighty. Here's what I'm happy for that. Let me get to the to the extended point here, which is to do this. You have to win three games to win the Super Bowl can Mitch Trubisky. Get you twenty one points when you need twenty one points. I think he could get your twenty one the other. Eight two two eight to eleven have to come from the DC. I'm going to have to come from a return going on the Rams alone again on this a couple of weeks ago when the Cowboys throttled the saints, they beat them thirteen to ten I said you get one bad game. You get one. The cat. Were scored nothing. I think in the first quarter, but they finished with twenty eight yesterday. So I'm going to give the Rams the moly get a run. You know, why they're going to get vanity and they were forced into. But here's why they get the mulligan from me. They're never going to have to play in the cold outdoors in the playoffs counter. They're not don't bring it up bears are not going to catch them there too behind them. They're not going to cat. That's what I told. You the giants. They're going to play in L A and they're going to play in New Orleans. No one they won't have say something offense doesn't necessarily travel as we saw yesterday defense. Does. So that defense on dry land in warm temperatures that defense can snuff them. Again. I don't wanna see the Rams again. I don't want that. I think. I think in a comparison of the bears in the ravens I think I'm inclined towards the ravens a little bit. Because I think their offense is a little bit better. They've honed it better with the Mark Jackson. They hand the ball off so much. They seem to know what they're doing. But these are the only two teams that can win

Ravens coach John Harbaugh emphatically defends Lamar Jackson's throwing ability
"Don't run forever in the NFL sooner or later, they get hooked. Then ravens head coach. John Harbaugh was adamant in his defensive Jackson. Paul's out there running around. You can do. All right. Thrower. He's wrong. And kitchen throws a quarterback. All right. He's a quarterback. Questions with. So I don't. The question we will continue to see a Mark Jackson his AAC learner back. It was clear that that message was not just for Marvin Lewis. I mean, this is obviously a question that he's been answering or hearing comments about over a long period of time. And now he wants to address it. I don't even think he was looking to address that question. I think he woke up that morning. And he had decided he was going to do that. No matter what questions he was asked. If you see that whole footage the question he was asked was not even directly about Lamar Jackson the past. There was like is he going to pass more and he went on his diatribe. I think what he wanted to do right there within a message to his team and send a message to Lamar Jackson. I think John Haubert is one of the best coaches in the NFL, particularly at the inner locker room dynamics. And he's taking this opportunity to speak directly to his team. And let them know that he has their back, and I think Lamar Jackson as I mentioned earlier, I think he's going to be their quarterback in the for the foreseeable future. Clearly, he's the quarterback over the future. But does that future mean right now there's a team in playoff contention? You believe he keeps that job the rest of this year. I believe right now they are technically in the playoffs. Lamar Jackson keep that job for the rest of the season because I also agree with and while all of
