As for hospitalizations from the virus, we're seeing the first sign that hospitalizations maybe leveling off as well. Fortunately, we still have adequate hospital capacity here in North Carolina, and we continue to monitor those capacity levels closely. "Traded for sure it's easy to remember. The couple had gone to the courthouse earlier in the day to tie, the knot, others, uptown enjoyed fireworks live music food trucks, and plenty of entertainment outside the museum. The event was hosted by Charlotte's city. Partners a scary situation in Seguin Texas. It ended peacefully an off-duty police officer arrested a man who was wearing a surgical mask. He was carrying a handgun and acting erratically. Instead he was on his way to church, according to the police department the officer approached Tony Dwayne Albert after concern bystanders reported he acted suspiciously. The officer noticed the clothing, not only the surgical masks. But he also had a loaded firearm and lots of extra ammunition Albert claimed he was looking for the First Baptist Church inviter, Texas, where he planned to fulfil what he called a prophecy. The door providers about two hundred and fifty miles east of Seguin outgoing u s Representative Robert pittenger said Monday, he won't run. If there's a new Republic. President Trump is not backing down from his demand for funding to build a wall on the US southern border. The president was on Fox News Monday night to talk about why he thinks a border wall is still necessary. We have no choice we have to have border security and a wall is part of border security. You know, I hear so much about the wall is old fashioned. No the wall is not old fashioned. The wall is one hundred percent foolproof. The you look at a wheel. "I'm ready this Markley and fame can't show. The Mark Levin camp show, Jamie Markley that's David van camp. Well, this isn't a good looks voter fraud going on. No, it's really bad actually over a thousand absentee ballots from likely democratic voters may have been destroyed in the race for North Carolina's ninth congressional district last month. Apparently, it looks like fried all aimed at helping the Republican candidate Mark Harris at least two and this is a crazy story. And what's weird to me is that it's being reported at all because I've been reassured time and time again by the media that voter fraud doesn't exist. It's impossible to Reagan election and to even suggest it. Is to undermine our democracy. Well, that tune got changed a couple of years ago. If you remember, yes. Before the two thousand sixteen election. Yes, that was the case since then we're told something else. So it's not horrifying anymore to say. Hey, look, this looks fishy. This looks bad again in the end, why would say most of us want the truth. Absolutely. And I've seen it's it's it's so weird to see Republicans now put on national TV and said, well, I thought you cared about voter fraud. And then they feel like they're back on their heels because so many Republicans don't stand up to that type of talk to them cower to it. They try to they try to reason with people who are coming at them with that take you say right back to him. I thought you said it's impossible. And look this is bad. No, Republicans you try away from this story just because it affects their their party. This is terrible. So what are the details of the story at least two women say, and they're looking for more say they were paid to harvest votes, gender ginger. Easson is one of them told a reporter for W C TV that she had done some campaign work for Leslie McRae, Dallas junior that's political operative and by the way. A convicted felon who allegedly pay between seventy five hundred dollars a day for people to collect ballots and then take them by hand somewhere else. Now, that's a crime in North Carolina. They're supposed to go straight to election. Officials in Cheryl Ken lies another person who said she was paid to harvest ballots. She said, I just did it for the Christmas money. Now. She also claims adding to this that she was told to explain to voters who they should vote for including Harris, and then the sheriff candidate at the time. Okay. So this is Cheryl here. Yeah. Well, he said kind of boost them whenever you're talking to people. I tell people. Thanks, right. But he was more like you need to get Mark Harrison here, and you need to get vapor in here. You got to keep him in there. Okay. Okay. So she's saying I did do what he said. Yeah. But I did collect these ballots. He's still collected these ballots in then left him at an unmarked location somewhere, and it's bad. It looks really bad. And so you got a lot of people calling for an investigation into this, including Republicans in the state of North Carolina. And they should yes. Because you know, you don't wanna win that way. That's cheating. Now. That's not what you're standing for my gosh. And it's I mean, it's depending on where this all winds up and see where this all goes. It's sad to me. Looking at the interviews of the two women who have already come forward and said, yes, this is I this is what I was told to do you have a political operative who took advantage of people who needed money? Do you think they knew what they were doing? I maybe I'm naive about this. I don't know watching the interview with this lady in particular. I don't know if they knew necessarily what they were doing was illegal. Okay. So you're saying she'd dumb. Yeah. Mean? Trying to be nice about it. But yes, that's at the end of the day. Yes. You could see where it could happen, man. You can you know? And if that is the case you feel bad for him. I just thought I was doing what are we supposed to do that doesn't mean if they were part of if they were taking part in any crime? I don't know if they would do jail time or be punished or anything like that. I mean, ignorance of the laws does not exempt you from the law. Well, the other thing is if you're in a situation where someone saying, hey, and tell people to vote here in here for this person. And this person. No, what are you talking about? And then you might want to alert somebody. Yeah. You know? But this happens after the fact so yeah, keep an eye on that. This is a crazy story. Yeah. And gonna leave a lot of people freaking out was not that anybody wants to see my chubby pale ass on the internet. But at the same time, this is one of my biggest fears. Woman has filed telling you right now what you need not have that fear I'll destroy people's webcams. All right now. A woman has filed a one hundred million dollar lawsuit against Hilton worldwide, she's claiming that hotel employee. She was staying at the hotel, the Hampton inn and suites in Albany, New York, and she says that someone secretly recorded her while she was in the shower and then tried to blackmail or after posting the video to some adult websites. Okay. So how did this unfold that she gets an Email or something? Yeah. She didn't know that she'd been recorded until this was like twenty fifteen is when she was recorded, but she didn't know until months later when the footage was uploaded to a website with their full name. And she started getting emails from someone demanding more images of her according to this lawsuit. The person wrote show me or promise me my own show. That's the hottest no need to see your face disappearing removed the video forever. Before they get copied on every website. So the center said look, I know where you're going to school. I know where you work I know that you've taken the bar exam. She was in law school. Hacked into the hotel. Oh, my camera, and they're finding her information. Yes. From the information they collected at the front desk. So not only had the camera. But we've heard about these data breaches from hotel chains. Yeah. So they have everything. Yep. That's terrifying. So the woman didn't respond to the threats the video was posted to more websites with her full legal name on it. Oh, man. The video was then sent to her friends her colleagues. Her former classmates people on our contact list. Oh, then the person demanded two thousand dollars immediately. And then a thousand dollars a month for their year to make them stop say, well, we'll delete all these videos, all this stuff. She didn't give into the demands. But she is now suing the owner of the hotel in Albany as well as Hilton worldwide because she thinks the person who emailed her was an employee who would have been able to get her name. She they would've been able to get all that information pretty easily also have access to the rooms. I don't know how it stays up. In other words, I think this points been brought up when you've got these celebs the get hacked. All of a sudden all these images are everywhere right within a few days. They're gone. Yeah. And that's a lot of times. It's they wind up being pulled from Google image searches and stuff like that. But nothing that's ever posted on the internet. It's ever truly gone forever. It just becomes harder and harder to find. Okay. But with this. It's not harder and harder to find mean. It's showing up on all of your friends context to them. Well, that's the other part is it's not just uploaded to a website in this case, it's sent out to contact. So they have the image. They have the video all of that. So you have you know, let's just save. It's a sister. Okay. What do you do? You're calling your sister going. Oh my gosh. You know, this is out there. Call the cops. Yes. Let's try to get the police involved fleas. And you would think that it would not take that long to get this stuff taken down. But I guess it does. Well, and her lawyer says that they've learned now of other people who had also fallen victim to this scam or the scheme. And the problem is remember there was a story was that a year ago, maybe a couple of years ago where it was it was a revenge porn case where young woman boyfriend had got some pictures of her and then put it up on all these websites, and she tried time and time again to get it taken down. Right. And they wouldn't do it. Because you couldn't prove that. There was no consent. They're like, well, maybe this is just, you know, basically, he's a remorse all its hair. They are now look at what their life's work is they need to do time. But when you do that illegally, and you're caught you need to do serious time. Yeah. And so she wound up having to copy write her breasts. If you remember that story. Oh, that was the only way she could actually because that was the only real legal remedy that. She had the only way to prove that they were in violation of some law because you can't it's hard to prove that you didn't consent to that photo. After the fact once it's up there on the website, a lot of websites will say well prove that you didn't consent to it. Right. And so she copyrighted her body in order to write slapped him with copier in this case, though, they're going forward Albany. Hampton inn, though said that they can't find any evidence that this happened after an initial review. Well, what did they have a blocker on their internet? Right. The hotel. Oh, you could you could you would hopefully and one of the problems is that it doesn't appear that she went to the cops immediately. Which is another problem. I knew that something like that happens to you. That's should be call number one just to make sure that somebody can try to trace this as it's happening. Man. That is crazy. All right. Keep that one updated to another story. We haven't got to yet. Well, USA gymnastics filing for bankruptcy. And the reason why will he can't pay off all these lawsuits, right? Is that what they're saying? Is that really true? We will get to that. So you know, it's the year end. It's all the lists. Right. Most popular iphone apps.

But again last night spirit square podium style. Tim, boy, I'm with Mark Harrison, Dan mccready. Why should they believe you will represent all voters and not just conservative voters in Washington? Well, I believe that I've shown a record over thirty years as a leader in the community of working with people from all backgrounds all perspectives all races all socioeconomic positions. In fact, that's what you do as a pastor in leading a church you deal with individuals that come from all different perspectives and socio economic educational levels, and you work together for a calls. It is bigger than yourselves. I've shown that record over thirty years. And I really believe that we will be able to work together through building relationships to accomplish this that and and I also believe that it's important that I've not been part of the swamp. "Hundred and twenty three votes what's important to note about that is that's more votes than all three republican candidates combined that they got last night they got thirty five four four ninety four and that really points to what a lot of people have been speculating about which is momentum with the democrats in certainly dan mccready is a poster child for the kinds of candidates that you're seeing democrats pushed into these races in congress he is a military veteran very much interest i know robert pittenger and mark harrison others have been making comments or republicans i should say have been making comments about mccreadie not taking a lot of stand so far so we'll see where that goes and then of course on the republican side there are also concerns that maybe the primary pushed the candidates too far to the right so there's a lot to look at their and then when you factor in the inevitable national outside money that will come into this race on both sides you really looking at one of the feature races of the fall campaign we talked about last night speaking of national coverage was the fact that the the sheriff's race had gotten some national attention because of the eighty seven g issue in this race and the fact that two of the the two challengers were in opposite two to eighty seven g and the incumbent irwin carmichael was very much a proponent of that and here we go i don't know what shocked you more i'm curious the ninth district outcome or the fact that in the the sheriff's race urban carmichael came in and not second but third and a distant third gary mcfadden will be the next sheriff fifty two percent of the vote to antoine ends lease twentyseven and then twenty percent for urban carmichael yeah i i would have to say the sheriff's race.

"The basics so what can we control we control access quality and keep our cost is absolutely lo was possible and so that's we have our team is absolutely entirely focused on the patient a meeting this fundamentals dr mark harrison is the ceo of inter mountain healthcare in utah bucket her thank your time to privilege thank you and our national political correspondent mara liasson is listening to that conversation i mara high so let's talk about the reality on capitol hill and in washington he sounds fairly optimistic that maybe this deal could go through but we've seen republican healthcare measure measure fail recently what where could this they will be going well based on our experience i don't think anybody should bet a whole lot of money on this a bipartisan deal being passed by congress they're already has been pushed back from conservative republicans especially in the house saying they've been voting for seven years to repeal and where place obamacare and this would not repeal it this would stabilise it and continue it for about two years so there has already been pushback from this even though the president as you played earlier gave it a tentative endorsement of i think it's it's going to be tough for this to pass congress and what do you make of what we're hearing from the president i mean he's been adamant about wanting to repeal obama care now he seems as you said to be tentatively supporting this measure which in effect which sure it out makes sense that for us if the fallout it's heart no i can't make sense of it because the other day when he said that he was going to discontinue the subsidies he called the bailouts to insurance companies he he said that they were a really bad idea i now he says that he if he's okay with having these subsidies continue temporarily for two years i in which time he says that the votes would be collected for the longterm permanent solution which would be to block rant obamacare to resurrect the grim cassidy bill that failed i in the senate so i can't really make sense of it except for maybe he doesn't want to be blamed for the chaos and collapse of the exchanges and pierre national political correspondent mara life amara thanks thank you now we report on the downside of bidding war for amazon many things it's many cities are competing to be the chosen one the site for a.

"Mark harrison and yours truly you can download the full version of what you're about to here later today at wbtcom welcome to couple you heat so i started role in tape hose podcast this podcast it's been a heavy weekend i guess mark garrison market our socket in the news room about this cam newton story in it's so interesting to talk to i wish almost that our podcast today in part had been just rolling tape on the news me nature was it because he got two stations w effiency and wbt and all of us on the morning crews kind of you know given our takes on cam newton and and how this is interpreted and how honest can i be here well you know i mean cam newton dozen have a good track record of saying smart stuff at press conferences when you look at how he behaved after the laws of the super bowl and so i mean this will allow me komo it's no secret it was a stupid comment i thought what he said to her afterwards was a little more revealing when he said i should have said i don't know of any reporters who know anything about running routes i think he doesn't like the press i don't think he likes doing press conferences i think that's obvious he seems to struggle coming up with good answers it was a dumb answer but you know what i'm not sure of the average football fan really cares and this is what we were getting too in the conversations today how how is this story interpreted by different sections of the audience hear a lot of athletes don't like sports reporters in part because sports reporting is very pretentious business because you you set yourself up as a writer as judge and jury you critique what the judge at what the coach did you see you critiques of play calling you critique all the players and that gets on the players nerves uh but look jordan rodriguez 25 years old as dan rather used to like to say well i won't say exactly what he said because had profanity at.
