Interview with Voice of Princess Leia, Ann Sachs
"As I mentioned a moment ago and sacks is the voice of a Princess Leia and she is a talented actress for many many years on on stage in both on and off Broadway Productions. And she is the former president and CEO of the renowned theater design firm sacks Morgan studio and you can find out more about her and the fact that she's working on these days at theatrical intelligence.com while and thank you so much for joining us today. It is a pleasure to talk with you and I'm been looking forward to this ever since way just connected. You know that there's just so much we could talk about because of this a project that is such a huge part of American. Well, I guess you could say even Global culture. I mean this thing is reach around the world. And so the original radio adaptation was first broadcast in 1981 and back. In those days you were doing stage acting at the time. Is that correct? That's correct. Yes. I played the leading role on Broadway in Dracula APA Frank langella and did that for over a year and I loved working in the you know, our country's resident Theatres because they're so varied in their approaches to producing plays and then also the theaters themselves very, you know, the little key we do lunch and then they're huge ones and I loved the surprising aspect of of working in different places. Yeah, like your locally we have the Orpheum Theater downtown Phoenix and that is just an absolutely beautiful beautiful theater. Yeah. Yeah. I've been in there. Yes, beautiful never worked there, but yep. Lovely. Yeah. Well, so how did you first hear about the Star Wars project? Well, it was one of those things where I just got a call from my agent and he said that if I was free I was being asked to do a radio adaptation of storm. I said what that is very strange and I guess I had met John Madden once brilliant brilliant director and said he must have been you know on a tight line or something like that, but it just sort of suddenly happened and a couple of days after getting the call. We we started it and it was just a just horrific great son Mark Hamill from the original film was in it then Terry King did dead. How long is solo and Carrie was terrific in that? So it was this something out of the norm for you to get asked to audition for a radio project or or what was that audition process? Like well, there was no addition. I just got called by my agent and they asked me to do it. I guess they must have been kind of dealing with a last-minute schedule or something. But I was asked I could do it and I did it was wonderful. It was a real Joy. Wow. Yeah, just call up and say hey we've got this roll for you. Come do it. Yes, exactly. That's all too rare in the theater and film business. So have you done any other radio projects before this month? Do you know what I I don't think I have I've done radio things but mostly it has to do with interviews and commercials for I was doing but it was a complete surprise and and of wonderful one, huh? That's that's amazing. So the so the film was released in 77 and the radio drama 81. Did you ever think that Star Wars would be such a huge cultural phenomenon as it is today, you know on one level I was I was completely surprised. It's just really the the global phenomenon is something that rarely happens in the world and on another level. It makes perfect sense. It just wage has that you know, the magic. Yeah that that just draws people in and what did you like to work on home? Sure,
To Test Coronavirus Vaccines, UK Study Will Intentionally Infect Volunteers
"The British government is announcing it will back what is known as a challenge trialled intentionally exposing volunteers to the virus. ABC is Mark Hamill are joining us on the coma news line with the controversial approach to test the effectiveness of vaccine candidates. Tell us more about this mark. So exactly as you said, it's a trial where volunteers and they say they're only taking people 18 to 30. He who have a record of being healthy people where they're going to get a vaccine. They have not said which candidates or vaccine will be a part of this, but they'll get a vaccine and they'll be deliberately exposed to cope in 19 and quarantined in a London hospital. While they're essentially monitored by these researchers and doctors very closely to see how the vaccine and the disease progresses and to see how effective these vaccines are, and so Wow. It is a very controversial type of study because particularly in this case, some have likened it to giving someone a poison without an antidote, because if you develop a severe case of covert 19 There's not a whole lot of treatments and well proven in documented treatment at our disposal. Unlike perhaps if you test somebody this way on another disease, where we have a long history of treatments available, so there is some concern in that respect, but on the other side of this benefit Is that you can start to flush out with which vaccines are effective very quickly because you could start to monitor them right then and there. Plus, there's no need to worry about community spread because You know, typically in a criminal clinical trial, you give 30,000 people. Half of them had the vaccine half have a placebo, and you let them go about their lives, and you wait to see which ones developed over 19. Which ones don't and you start to measure the effectiveness of a vaccine that way this way, You're monitoring it right there, So there are some benefits in terms of the time and that's part of the reason that the government I decided to back this, but it's a controversial decision on the way. Some doctors say This is very helpful when there's very little disease in the community. But in this case, there's a lot of disease in the community. Yeah, that's right. Part of the benefit of this is is in general. You don't have to worry about that community spread exactly. We're talking about where in a clinical trial, you know you've got to send people out into there into the world, and they just Have to go about their lives, and you'll know that some people got it. And some don't and so to do that. So you have to know that there is community spread are particularly in this case with Kobe have to know that you know you're not sending 30,000 people out there and none of them ever came across. The disease. So in this case, obviously with Coleman in most areas in the US, the UK and Europe In a lot of cases that's not concerned with covert 19, but typically with challenge trials. That is one of the benefits If you could do a study anytime, anywhere, you don't have to worry about it. So that doesn't seem to be as much of an overriding factor in in the desire to do that, in this case because of the spread of Copan 19, But but one of the benefits is the faster results essentially in the data. Plus, I think one of the other things that the organizers of the study of said, is that not only can you squashed the time that it takes to figure out how effective the vaccine is, but you can also monitor how the body responds to covert 19 from They want versus somebody goes down. The world gets eventually get sick and maybe they see a doctor eventually, Maybe they don't You know so this because you're directly exposing somebody. You can watch them from day one. How the body reacts having these moves in the body all of these things, and so it's not just necessarily looking at the vaccine, but also can help the understanding of the virus. Itself again. Not without it concerns, though, because there's certainly a risk in this in terms of your willingly taking a dose of 19, and that's why they need to watch them so closely to minimize those risks. A veces Mark Remillard. Thank you, Mark. Thank you.

Apocalyptic Battle for Take-Out Dollars: Uber Eats Pits Star Wars against Star Trek
"A. From wondering David Brown and this is business wars daily on this Wednesday September thirtieth. It's hardly a stretch to say that the pandemic has been delivery services, best friend, take-out meals, or so much more attractive when we're avoiding other people that's meant a surge in revenue for leaders and Hungary rivals Uber Eats and door dash in the second quarter ubereats. Gross delivery bookings totaled almost seven billion dollars a jump of well over one hundred percent from q one. Before we all started eating in as a privately held company door dashes keeping a lot of data to itself but the number of people using dash doubled from ten million last year to twenty million now according to research firm Emarketer. Possibly, to Ubereats Chagrin Jordache became so ubiquitous that it was responsible for more than half of all US meal delivery in April. Wow. That's according to market researcher. Edison Trans last week linked in named DOOR DASH number two on its list of top fifty startups based in part on exuberant hiring plans. The companies expected to go public by the end of the year Uber eats holds about thirty percent of US market share despite their rapid growth neither door dash nor ubereats has yet turned a profit chew on. Then these rivals are employing ever more creative marketing strategies in their efforts to. Become or remain top takeout dog ubereats constructed a quirky ad campaign that celebrates competition itself a sort of Meta Mezei the latest ads featuring unusual rivalry between get this star wars and star Trek. They star none other than Mark Hamill Luke skywalker in star wars and Sir. Patrick Stewart's Star Trek's Captain John Luc Picard they compete ferociously almost grimly in games of air hockey and connect for. But when an uber driver delivers a delectable dish, each breaks the foreboding mood to politely thanked the driver in this Ad. Stewart. Armed with Cricket Bat and Hamill carrying a baseball bat in a dark empty warehouse. Tonight. I'll be eating a Veggie cheeseburger. On Shibata. No tomatoes. Tonight I'll be eating four cheese. Tortellini. With extra tomorrow. Tony. Stewart so it's come to the. Thank you. Proper. Part of what makes the spot? So amusing is that the argument tomato tomato is, of course from the classic George Gershwin. Song, let's call the whole thing off. But of course, neither UBER EATS NOR DOOR DASH is planning to call the whole thing off quite the opposite if takeout became essential in March, it's remaining. So in could see even more growth this winter, a second wave of the virus causes more lockdowns. In Uber Eats case, the company says the campaign celebrating rivalries already been a huge success in Australia Taiwan Japan, where it launched last year and ad featuring Kim Kardashian and a fictional Australian character pushed uber eats brand awareness in Australia two levels quote on par with McDonnell's the company told Ad Week the new Stewart Hamill Lads bring the campaign to the US in Canada but whether the cleverness of ubereats his ad campaign can steal away
Coronavirus: US passes grim milestone of 200,000 deaths
"The United States today reached a staggering unwanted milestone. 200,000 American lives lost to cope in 19 to break that down in another way that's like having the entire populations of Bellevue and Lacey Washington wiped off the map in the past seven months. ABC is Mark Hamill are joining us on the camo news line. With more on today's grim numbers. Mark, How did we get here? Well, there's a number of factors that has led the U. S. 200,000 dead. But I think many health experts would really point to three major causes that has led us to a country with 5% of the world's population. Tohave 21% of the world confirmed death from Kobe 19 and one of those things inadequate access to healthcare there 30 million uninsured people in this country. And that has particularly as we know Kobe 19 has disproportionately affected my minority communities, low income communities, and so that's largely or likely part of an axis. Inadequate access to healthcare Co morbidity, the CDC says. Six in 10, Americans have a chronic health condition. While we know the covert 19 is particularly worrisome if you have a chronic health condition, like diabetes or something else like that on Europe, more more of a risk of developing a severe complications. And then the final thing is America's. Inability to respond appropriately to be outbreak going back all the way to January and step you area, Trump said. The US back in February was the most prepared country in the world, and we were the US topped a number of lives in terms of preparedness for an outbreak in terms of our state of the art labs, heir stockpile our disease tracers, things like that. But we were caught off guard. No doubt by the fact that this spread with a symptomatically there were cases of people We didn't even know they were getting it from there. The slow adoption of lock down orders Airport tracing things like that screening testing being still inadequate even today, compared to what Admiral Brett, your law has said he wanted to see 50 million tests done a month by September will last month. We only did 24 million. So only halfway there, so there's a lot of factors and then I think one of the other one that continues to get mentioned mixed messaging from the White House and the CDC, particularly early on, they said. People don't need to wear that. Well, then they had to change that later that people should, and so I think that's all helped contribute to the fact that them and help get us to the fact that we have now
Election 2020: Biden, Harris Appear Together in Delaware
"Harris share a stage for the first time since the primary debates at DuPont High School in Wilmington, Delaware. We're going to share their vision for defeating President Trump's leading the nation through a pandemic. ABC is Molly Nagel covers the Biden campaign. She's in that high school gymnasium. Now bit of an unusual debut, Molly, You could see this in front of a boisterous crowd, but or covert. Yeah, that's right, where we usually see a massive roll up for the vice presidential pick. And that, uh, are the Democratic nominee. That's not gonna be the case here today. We're in a gymnasium that is Currently just looks like all press and staff here. And we're all just eagerly awaiting on this rainy day and Wilmington to see these two together for the first time in public and really debut this ticket, ABC is Molly Nagel, who covers the Biden campaign. ABC is Mark Hamill artist there to outside that gymnasium. Did anybody show up to see this moment? Mark? They did Aaron. Interestingly enough, as Molly mentioned there it is on has been a times very stormy and down, pouring here, and if it wasn't storming and down pouring, it was Oppressively hot and humid, but a few 100 people still showed up at this high school. I talked to a couple of them and basically they said, Hey, I heard it was here, so I walked down to see I have no idea if I can get in. And as Molly said, it doesn't appear that they're going to be allowed in. Nevertheless, they showed up many of them holding campaign signs for Biden won home made sign read. Representation matters. Camilla, obviously alluding there to Camilla being the first woman of color on a major party ticket. This event has been delayed several times. Today. We understand that the power went out, perhaps due to those storms. So perhaps that's why this was pushed back a little bit, but we understand as well. We're going to get a preview here of what these candidates are going to talk about, and they're going to draw a contrast, a campaign official tells ABC News between the Trump campaign in their campaign, which they say They represent experience. Compassion, justice and leadership in the Trump campaign represents quote, chaos, division incompetence and failure.

Final Fantasy VII Remake demo is the first step in a very long journey
"The final fantasy seven remake demo is now available exclusively on PS and right now. The final fantasy seven remake demo leaked a few weeks ago but now the thing is real and officially playable on playstation four according to the demos description on the playstation store it covers the first chapter of the original game or cloud and his new friends bombed the Mako reactor. It's worth noting that downloading and playing the demo gives you access to an exclusive final fantasy seven remake. Ps Four theme which will be available on April tenth as long as you download the demo before May eleventh twenty twenty the easiest way to remember that date is that you will want to download it the day before my sister's birthday or if it's even easier to remember grab it from the store at least two days before. Piccolo Day which we all know is may thirteenth. The description also has two important qualifiers content in the demo may differ from the final retail version and progress made in demo will not carry over to the final game which is disappointing squirt UNIX is under no obligation to let the save file move forward. It's not an assumed thing when it comes to game demos at this point but I love when it's an option. I like checking out. Demos like this but when final fantasy seven remake actually releases. I'M GONNA be bombed that I will have to play through that whole section again. I am super thankful that this demo exists and by the time this podcast is on the Internet. You can actually go and find an archive. Were streamed it for an hour on twitch. I played through the whole thing might handle his kyle impersonator but I have to admit I'm a little surprised that the demo exists at all I think square INEX- basically committed millions of people to buying it just by announcing it was working on it. I don't think a demo will necessarily change anyone's mind but I'm really. I'm not complaining. I promise maybe outside of square just wanting to let people get their hands on it a bit after waiting for so many years for its release they they just WanNa set some expectations for how different. It's going to be for the original game so maybe the people download it. The super fans won't be blindsided by the changes when they take on the full game. Maybe that's the intention of the Demo narrowly sure by the way just Some quick impressions for the Demo. I really liked it. I wasn't pessimistic about the game by any means. It looks great and all the trailers and people that I trust that have played the remake have all had really nice things to say about it but even with high expectations going in. I really got into combat. It really feels like an action game but there is enough opportunity to pause things and slow everything down that there are still a lot of room for tactical decisions. Which is nice. It's also fluid moving into combat and out of combat scenarios. It really feels at least in the demo like a very smart middle ground between final fantasy. Fifteen and kingdom hearts as combat and. I like the combat in both of those games so Mike Excitement for final fantasy. Seven remake has only grown since playing the demo. And I I really don't have any install job for the original game. Summer Movie Preview
"The movies of summer twenty nineteen. What is out there? What's going to happen? And I've got to start by saying you think maybe that summer begins on your calendar near the end of June. But not in Hollywood everything in Hollywood begins early because summer is when they make all the money that they can make all year. So officially April twenty six it's the beginning of summer because the movie that opens on that day is called a ventures endgame. This is three hours long. Nobody's gonna care. I predict that not only will this be the biggest box office hit of the summer, but it will be the biggest box office hit of the year. You remember what happened last time all the ventures or at least half of them seem to turn to dust than die mean? Now have those ventures that are left to signing if they can beat the evil fan. He so evil will the adventures be wiped out forever. Look how much money did these movies make I'm saying why would you basically kill the golden goose? This is going to continue in some way, we all know it. So what else is out there? I'm looking at my list. There's a major thing going on now of in terms of taking the Disney slash Pixar animated classics and turning them into live action movies. So we have The Lion King line king. One of the most successful Disney animated movies ever is now being done as a live action movie. You have Donald Glover being Simba. You have James Earl Jones actually being this father and the same scores. They're the same using. And it's directed by John Fabbro who did such a great job with the jungle book doing the same thing that I think we can all feel optimistic about what's going to happen. And then we have Aladdin when we remember the. Animated movie who do we remember the most? We remember Robin Williams doing the voice of the genie. This time doing the voice of the genie and being the genie. We have Will Smith. So big stars in this big kind of thing, they tried it with Dumbo earlier this year, and that didn't quite work the way they wanted to do. But we're talking about lying king and the Ladan so big deal. Now, what terms of old fashioned animation is out there. I don't know if you're like me. But there's a Toy Story four toy stories always been my favorite of those Pixar. There's something about Woody and buzz light year, and you're probably saying to yourself. Well, and Toy Story three didn't it happen. That would he said goodbye, Andy. And he went to college, and it was all over remember. There was little Bonnie Andy gave his toys too. So we're going to have little Bo peep comeback. I think when you look at what goes on in Toy Story, you have that kind of feeling of goodness of field. Goodness, but done with all the magic of Pixar. So if those adventures out there are going to have a run for their box office money. I would say Toy Story. Four is going to be the one that does it. So what else we now have men in black men in black international? You're not gonna see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones anymore. But this time you have Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. As new agents who are out there in this men in black universe. Sometimes you say to yourself do I want more of that? And you never know to actually see it. And I can only tell because I haven't seen this movie yet. But it looks like there's chemistry there. Then we have Spiderman far from home. You know, the Spiderman franchise never seems to end either. But we have Tom Holland who played him last time charmingly, I think, but now spider man, Peter Parker. They're taking a European vacation and the villain that they run up against is mysterious. Played by Jake Jilin. All I just think they're still some special sauce in the Spiderman universe, and I expect this one to also be a major hit. Godzilla Godzilla king of the monsters. I see that. And I go how much can they work this poor God's, but you can look at the trailer and see it. I like the idea that aside from viewer for Megan who is in it, Billy Bobby Brown from stranger things is in its she the dynamo. So if God Zillah can basically meet his match betting on little Millie to do something with that Hobbes and Shaw, this is fast and the furious you remember the rock of playing the the law man, and Jason stefon playing the outcast and the rebel these guys. I don't know if this is Hollywood kind of thing, but they tell us that Jason stadium and the rocked wing Johnson. Don't really like each other. And maybe that what the reason we love these characters and show so much because we liked that conflict. I don't know it seems a PR stunt to me, but I'm going to be there because this cars. There's the rock and their Stefa. So you're going to be there to and you know, it, oh and the big deal. Now, everybody has just in the midst of welcoming game of thrones back to their lives. The last season of that. You can't bear to live in a world where you can't see the stark sisters anymore. Well, now, you can dark Phoenix, which is part of the X men universe. Bring Sophie Turner, and she's Jean grey this character that we've seen before. But she's this younger version of her and she split between the good side of her and the dark Phoenix side of her. And to me, these girls are tremendously talented in what they do on game of thrones. And I think we're going to keep seeing them through the years, but her sister her at least game of thrones sister, maisy Williams is in new mutants part of that universe too. But in this case, they're all new characters to do this. They're all gonna be in the X men universe. Doing it. So that's it for the blockbusters that are out there. You've got everything from animation to comic book characters to everything. And that's the stuff that you hear about that your friends are going to talk to you about. But there's gotta be other stuff to part of summer is comedy of. I think we all really have gone through a long winter. And we're saying make us laugh give us something that will just make say, whatever. I can just sit back and not think. So what's there for that? There's a movie called longshot. This is a movie in which Charlotte Theran is playing the secretary of state who is running for president. But falling Manley in love with who staff throw in. Okay. It's like, a beauty and the beasts thing going on here. Seth Rogan is her speechwriter all of her people say what are you doing? You're going to destroy your career. But no, it's love. And if you don't laugh at the combination of Seth Rogan, Charlie staring. There's nothing left for you. And then we have the hustle. The hustle is a movie that used to be called dirty run scoundrels where the old days it was about conman. Now, it's con- women. They're played by Anne Hathaway and rebel Wilson. And they basically go all cross the continent finding rich people whose money they can steal pretty people. Glamour? What's wrong with that? Oh, book smart. This is directed by the actress Olivia Wilde, and it's about girls graduating from high school and saying we spent all our lives with our head in the books. Everybody else is going to parties and having fun. So they're going to do that beanie Feldstein plays one of them. She is the sister of Jonah hill and real life and Jona hill did super bad. This is kind of the women's version of super bad everything in it works, like a charm. You're really going to like that one. Then we have a movie called late night. This is about the TV talk show world and Emma Thompson plays. Probably the only woman on late night TV who hosts her own show, but she's got only men on her writing staff, and then she hires Mindy Kaeling who also wrote the screenplay of this movie, very very funny about what happens when you put women into what basically has been. A male bass they end of doing this. And the combination of Mindy king writing for the great Emma Thompson and watching them perform together is just so you've got to see that one to my favorite kind of thing. The dead. Don't die. You've got to admit that is a great and funny title. It comes from the indie, directing great, Jim Jarmusch. And it's cut people like Bill Murray and Adam driver by zombies. Okay. If Bill Murray is going to go out there and get laughs. Sizing up zombies. I'm going to be there watching him do it. So we have a good chance for laughs horror. I've got to talk about it now because it's not just the Cajun. Oh movie harm movie that makes money any makes people talk and get happy. It's they're everywhere. Now child's play do you? Remember the old child's play movies where you had Chucky. The crazy nut doll that. Always terrified me. Just. This doll who looks kind of little bit weird and freckly, but he has a voice on him like a longshoreman guess who's doing the west now of Chucky Marquel? Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker. And from what I've seen of it in. It's just been a little bit of it. It's wonderfully malevolent, so I'm going to be there to see that one. Then there's Annabel comes home. Another doll another possess doll also part of the conjuring universe where a viewer for Megan Patrick Wilson. Or the demon knowledge is that tried to make sure that nothing bad can come of this horrible doll Annabelle, but Bill will destroy and I will be there to watch her. Do it then them that follow their certain titles that get me them that follow really gets me? And it's about a snake handling church in Appalachia. No, they there are there colts. And they're almost religious cult where people pray. But they have the snakes, and they hold the life thinks pass them on. And you're thinking, what are you tell me about this like CD movie Har movie will guess who the star of this movie is the freshly minted Oscar winner Ogilby Coleman from the favourite, she's tossing those snakes around so irresistible. I think you're gonna love it. Then there's the Nightingale. See it's does not stop. It's har- everywhere. The night and gas from the director, Jennifer Kent who did a thing a couple of years ago called the baba Duke, which gave millions of people nightmares. And now she's back there following a woman who is chasing a convict got to be hooked. And then midsummer midsummer directed by REI Astor who last year gave us hereditary with Toni Collette, a really scary movie. Now, it's at a nine day Swedish holiday where everybody celebrates. But they'll be no celebrating after this one. So we. Got a lot of stuff out there. That's just going to scare us witless. And I couldn't be happier. All right. When summer comes. We think of all the things I've just talked to you about blockbusters comedy horror action, the rock of everything is there, but every even in a season like this. It's all about money and getting us into our theater, there are those movies that can come out entertain us. And also will hear about them at the end of the year when the Oscar nominations come out and the number one movie on that list, and the one that I haven't seen anything of India's of anyone that saw even anything past the trailer is called once upon a time in Hollywood it is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino its stars in order to Capri, oh as a TV star on the wane in Los Angeles. And Brad Pitt as his stunt double whoever thought of

Possible 'Star Wars' Live-Action TV Shows In Development
"So h shows based on the following characters Landau Cal Ripken Kira from solo star. We're story fin PO Damran young Princess laya, captain fazah rose Tico the night. "Medical school. Typically think they say that their study will appear in the journal of the American college of surgeons later this year. I get this. Dr. Mark Hamill, Ibero father, Luke, Mark Hamill. Not the Mark Hamill does Dr Mark Hamill is not Luke Skywalker. But Dr Mark Hamill lead, author of the study, presented the findings in October at clinical congress two thousand eighteen we found no relationship between the type of concealed carry process or the general permissiveness of the process and increase rates of homicide or other violent crimes. He concluded. The research. Researchers looked at state crime rates in comparison to the firearm laws in each whether it was a no carry state or a may issue state or shall issue state or had unrestricted carry and determine there is no significant link between the two every state and the district of Columbia now has some legislation in place to allow for some form of civilian concealed carry changes. The concealed carry legislation likely won't reduce firearm violence. Then a second separate study looked at firearms in relation to mass shootings and characteristics of communities where they occur. And this was interesting to me specifically conducted by researchers from bowling green university, and the university of Toledo the an ally, analyzed mass shootings that involve four more people and occurred between two thousand five and two thousand eighteen so a mass shooting four more people within you know, thirteen years two thousand five to two thousand eighteen using social determinants of health as criteria. We'd definitely found. Some these factors surprising. A declared Dr Steven wakowski. The results might have raised eyebrows. Among the researchers, but there's nothing surprising to gun owners about the conclusion the states that were more urban an and more liberal head both stronger than laws, but also more instances of mass shooting events. These studies seem to confirm what gun rights proponents have long argued more guns, less crime, more gun laws more crime. Let me go back to that. Mass shootings. Four more people between two thousand five two thousand eighteen. They occur in states where more that were more urban in more liberal and had stronger gun laws. These these were the ones that have the most instances of mass shooting events. So think about that for a while. These places that have the stricter gun laws. The more liberal. Governmental oversight. These are the places that have the more instances of mass shootings and. In the article says, it's not new stuff. We've known it. We know it. But for whatever reason, they don't get it is smart the politicians think they are is is in sight, full and enlightened as the politicians think. They are. They don't get this. Now, you know, we say, they don't get it. I'm sure they get it. They have to get it. They're not. Well, they are. But they're not stupid the half to know. But it's all the agenda. It's not about the guns. It's about controlling people. It's about government big is about big government and government beyond control is much of our lives as we can. So that's another study that. That they don't like to have to report. Here's a another interesting article in the magazine. Blaming guns not killers. And I thought this for a long time as well. What is an interesting phenomenon that when looking at murders most of the time the crime is rightly blamed on the murderers, the only exception to that seems to be when it comes to firearms. When it's learned a gun was used in a crime many. Hi, there is cover their ears closed their minds and just keep repeating we need more gun control. We need more gun control. In fact, October Rasmussen reports survey indicates that one third of people like access to firearms is more at fault than the killers themselves. Breath Houston's telephone and online survey asked the question point blank in crimes involving use of a gun, which is more to blame the shooter or the Ville availability of guns in America. So we're asking people is the shooter the blame or the availability of guns, an astonishing thirty one percent of people placed the gun the blame on the inanimate object gun and not the person pulled the trigger. Thirty one percent felt that way unsurprisingly Democrats or much more likely than Republicans. Fifty one percent to thirteen percent to blame the object over the person. It's worth asking these same people think access to vehicles is more at fault than drivers are now is more at fault than the staffers. If not why what makes the gun different. And actually, we can tell you what makes the done different political agenda. Liberals have long been on a mission to obliterate guns. The constitution and freedom in America gun control has never been about guns. It's always been about controlling people. The only difference today is that anti-gun is are openly admitting their in game. If they must give ridiculous answers absolving human beings from any responsibility governing their own actions. Well, so be it the bottom line people who blame the gun or the killer aren't looking for real solutions. They're simply furthering in agenda that is so true. Anytime you hear..

"A tough old brawd voice now i mean i was just that's just what carrie fisher's wait a little tentative about how luke claimed like mark hamill the actor allott right harry fisher the actress is very fit through these act like how you'd expect lay at age who she was a fireplug in nourished movie and she didn't take no gulf nobody and you would totally see are turning in modern day carrie fisher i agree and one of the things he said earlier about mark hamill sort of asserting himself to the character i think that even is a filmmaker as talented as a tj abrams who brian johnson when the heroes that you grew up with tell you what they think the character should do i think there's an inherit amount of deference to it not not because you feel that they can strongarm you or not because you feel that can go against you plot but because these people have been vested though iit's in being these characters in in many ways and i think it would be in sort of going against the tide or going against the the flow of things to sort of argue with them on where they broke out ryan gold right ryan didn't go with our mark i more like mark hamill was much more about the boy scout ernest feeling dogooder agreeing enhanced i agree and hence why i think that would probably should have remained private creative discussion is so fascinating to me i love the fact that we got to hear that i mean with a homemade stuff how many times have you argued that somebody that like we should do this instead of that happened longtime lebanon argue with a harrison ford about on seoul's supposed to do as i was the no no harrison ford is argh i'm going to get out and you know you know what amy amy minder of just murdered him in her sentence amid imagine of han solo had turned like cowardly and he was like you know like a little weasel can happen.

"Two years away from it and force awakens at i feel like she was a much stronger performance in in in this movie absorb thoughts will see the performances that i that i thought you guys have worked out mark hamill ohio at what i i don't get off and get a chance to say this about a boat star wars so i will hear mark hamill uh yoda is a success and he's here in this movie as well of course as as a force goes puppet um yoda is a puppet yoda is a muppet operated by frank eyes and yet we believe him hook lenin singer because mark hamill in empire strikes back believes at hook line and saturday that is the only thing that that he has to act against for most of that movie mark hamill is one of the reasons that that empire strikes back is such an amazing film and so when he when i saw him here i was not surprised a tall that he is he gave the performance it he did because they could there's always been a great actor in there and i think he gets a lot of short shrift sometimes he also is playing like intentionally a whiny teenager in yeah beginning because that's that's who his character is that's that's where he grows from like i think there's a lot of confusion between like the actor and the character which mark has pointed out on several occasions on twitter just being like no i i was playing a away teenager like that was the point so i think you know it was great though to see him get something so unqualified good like just good material to work with great people to work up against and as story line that really just did his character justice like he took all of those wonder.

"It stood within the movie because there there are some knowing that she is gone there are some rather heartrending moments where they wouldn't be necessarily uh without that knowledge but given that we know that she's past um you know they were did a little would a little tearjerking uh during some of the moments of the film yes there were and also i mean not to give any spoilers there were plenty of opportunities within this film to end lay us plot live digital brushes with death any point it would have made perfect dramatic sense uh since a lot of the theme of this movie is handing things off and letting the past go it would have made sense to to let her go and then the third movie is here all these new characters with dawn of their of the old one to there to shepherd them through this new adventure nofat could have been done that i don't know why they didn't i know that i absolutely and i i was surprised uh again and again say why not why not here this is perfect what posed to close to where now but you know once he steps away a little ways you know they're gigi with this would be perfect but no it was a it's interesting it'll be interesting to see how it comes through i i also the other character that uh that i think stood out in addition to uh to driver in colorado uh was was really was mark hamill uh the first half the movie at eu could make an argument to say okay uh you know it's it's time for him to go um but by the second half of the movie kicked in and uh he became really uh you know truly ob once successor i it just it just he uh he blew me away i thought it was a phenomenal phenomenal performance it was amazing role in a great story ark for him to oh absolutely i a lot of us had forgotten what a sassy character luc was especially towards the end and we travel jet i really got real mouth he with the java and we hadn't seen and he's like the dialogue in this movie was way better than you'd gotten used your from lucas that allow the great lines were luke's especially towards the you know the.
