Dumber picnic should've been called hard and tartar. That's what it should have been call. Those are words. Number one for me director of NASA. This is the one that just popped into mind immediately. Great care split the director, you remember the Mario Marsh and he's break. Character is an okay move can movie. I feel like movies that everyone loves us. They really comedy this light. It's comedy. "But yes, ladies and gentlemen. The season is regular seasons about to wrap up on the girls side. So don't forget to join us. It's going to be fun. I always look forward to thrilled with the opportunity again to do the pairing show. I I have been able to do that for a while quite frankly of forgotten how long we just have done it for a while. And it's more than most exciting. Nights of the year for me. I get to do the basketball and football. And frankly, it's it's really pretty cool speaking, you're cool, south western Hanover, number one and two way tonight. They'd be Switzerland county seventy nine fifty one the final and then when Jerry bomb Holt joins me on these Saint Vincent sports performance hotline. Coach congratulations on very impressive wins tonight. Congratulations. Thanks. Playing a team that we had already beaten earlier in the year by forty and. The second time, but we're gonna start a little slow down one at the end of the first quarter. But in the next week were outscored them sixty seven thirty seven and got the game under control. Did you do anything differently in those three quarters or just guy started to elevate their play? Well, we went to some. About six or seven different variations of that one to two we play in different ways. And we think we use them all the time just to get some pressure on them and. No one shot. I think we made to look here. But I think we made ten more threes tonight. That's thirty five in the last three games that that will get you healthy, man. And for the four straight game. We did not miss a free throw. So I think we made forty eight free throws. Oh in a row as a team, which is pretty neat. And just able to do a lot of things finally after the first quarter to get going and get going. All right. So tell me who steps up and makes place for you tonight. Coach shop more Matthew Williams had twenty six points, and I were sophomore guard faster method at fourteen out of senior AllState AllState candidate Kramer, had twenty two so real good balance. Good combination of inside and outside. And again, we're able to shoot the ball. Well, and get some things done defensively got some turnovers and gets media baskets. All right. So that's your only game this weekend. Who's up next week way? Play Christian academy on the road next. Friday should be a good cash. They've been playing people really tough. And so we feel like we're going to go down there and probably roll. But we gotta worry about ourselves and get ready to play and hopefully in another week and a half. We'll have our. Senior map. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And if we can get him back where he can start playing little bits and pieces of the time that gives us another little bit of depth off the bench, and we get that back when we handled Jerry bomb. Molds the head coach at southwestern of Hanover over number one in the two a poll, they beat Switzerland county tonight seventy nine fifty one series on these Saint Vincent sports performance line. Coach have a great weekend. Thanks so much for the call and good luck next week. Thanks. Thanks so much Mark Forster w x f in in this whole long coach Mark hang on a second. All right. Hang on, Jamie Colt. Marge always be the head coach at corden central. Corey kluber Clarksville tonight fifty six fifty four coach I sent you the text goes I wanted to hear how you won this exciting game. Well, we made it exciting Clark. Clarksville help this. We had a thirteen point lead at halftime and listening to coach I'm talking about not missing the free. Throw we missed eight in the fourth quarter. Oh, my. And made a lot of shots there in the third quarter. And in the fourth and took it from thirteen fourteen point game at the start at the beginning of the third. They had a fan of four point lead. Quarter must have felt like it took about twenty minutes to play every time you step up to the free throw line for heaven's sakes. Kind of started in the third. We miss ten free throws. But our our senior Bramley Nellie got in some trouble in the third quarter got called for three offense a foul. And when he sat down we didn't we didn't scored very well. But what he came back. He was able to get a a couple of huge baskets and scored seven down the stretch force which were begging him to three point play. So he really came back in our senior guard Joey Weisman who just a couple of weeks ago went over became the temp player in school history of over a thousand points finished with twenty tonight. You know, everybody says, hey, don't you work on free throws watch the? You know, what this is? And it's like everybody else gets in. Everybody's mind is like a collect it the best way to describe it to people is we think about this when you're with a three or four people and someone yawns everybody else yawns, right? That's how this sometimes goes. When one guy starts to miss in just for some reason it gets in people's heads. And this is what happens. It certainly did. Because Joey whiten he missed five and he's seventy five percent free throw shooter going into the game. So. We it was one of those nights where you know. We've lost a couple of driving give really fought back. And you know, when it could have been over they kind of turned up the pressure and and got back in the game and made it really difficult force corden central tonight, fifty six fifty four winter's over Clarkson, Jamie Colt. My who's up next coach we've got we're supposed to have Crawford county tomorrow night in a rematch game of the game. We won in overtime. Weeks ago? Good luck. Hope you play Jamie. Thanks so much be safe. Thanks for the call. Thanks coach. Let's go to Mark Forster who's on the Saint Vincent's sports performance online. Thanks for waiting near. Appreciate that. Delta rolling along. Tonight's sixty eight sixty two winners over Dale delta wins Dale Ville was over west del. We got a little termination here. Do we not Mark Forrester? I just forgot about the fact that you guys were in in a tournament tonight in Delaware County turnament, so delta beach Cowan sixty eight twenty two Dale Ville fifty nine fifty seven over west del. You had a great game. Let's go to the first game walk through delta as it continued to roll along. Well, I it comes into a game where earlier in the year, they be Cowan. Their first home game of the year, seventy eight to twenty nine. Delta's just rolling in facing off against the one eighteen. So it was a twelve ahead twenty Josh Bryant had twenty today. Scored forty one of the sixty eight points that don't add they they had a double bigger weighed find the midway first quarter throughout that game at a kind of coach data to the final their coach. And the second one was really exciting wide ideal. One fifty nine four fifty seven and why. Villa's raid coverage in class one eight whole so that was a rematch also of a match up earlier in the year as well. That was a three point spread ideal just made the right points at the got a couple of calls made some weight free throws. And they're they're going to meet in championship with a three eight delta tomorrow. Maybe maybe why they're paying. Have some faith for heaven's sakes? Come on. Was a fun night. Workout tournament is always. It's cool to see, you know, one eight schools have a chance to go up against three always the one eight school defeated your count on Wednesday, which you know, that's their biggest one of the year when they face off against your town. They get to they get you the game tonight. And then one three games all year looks at this as a springboard day defeat number one two years debut like they're on it. And so it's just really fun to different storylines. They come out of a tournament aspect like this Mark Forster w x f in Muncie. One of our great stations along the network on the call of the Delaware County tournament game one in the semis. Delta sixty eight twenty two over Callen Dale Ville fifty nine fifty seven winners over west nail. Delta Dale Vilna championship tomorrow, Mark. Let's hope we're talking tomorrow night. Today's student athletes are true. Something pretty great about the men and women who will fishy. Eight their games to like the way they're giving back to their communities officiating is a terrific way to stay in shape. Meet new people and stay connected to the game. "Three pointer Ethel horn in the crossroads classic, go back positive points. I talk again this. I dare say that no one in the big east. I think is going to be as good as this team is so they have to take great pride in the fact that they'd played them dead even for literally forty minutes. Yeah. You're right about it. They they controlled from the beginning. They let for thirty four minutes at the end of the week to watch few minutes of the game. And I if it's kind of odd to say, but sometimes, you know, even through a tough loss like that you can actually feel a little bit more hope for what the teams potential could be. I thought they played really well. Had terrific game for the beginning of that offensively defensively helped set. It's all we talked about Sean McDermott another really strong for. It's six points was the first time fans got to see Jordan Tucker out on the floor. And he came in played a few minutes. I got a three. And so how does he continue to work into the road? Right. You're right there. There are surprised spots to this big east conference, quite frankly, it's wide open. Absolutely Villanova had a tough couple of losses. This week who is an annual ever since the realignment of the conference they've been projected favorite. So I think it's gonna be a ton of competitive fund big east games. And I think it's going to be a lot more congested than it has in the league standings at your years past and and certainly Indiana really talented top twenty five team it'll move up even further in the rankings after this one Mark men or the voice of the Butler BULLDOGS dogs loose you seventy one sixty eight he's on the Saint Vincent sports. Former sideline Marcus always great to talk to you. Thanks for the time. Likewise, coach take care. Mark Forster joins me. W XFL are great station in Muncie. Delta seventy three fifty six hundred over Muncie central what a big win for delta. There were a lot of paying for delta tonight that is historic. What's with the win tonight? It was their fourth time. They warned back to back games. It gets lucky central since the regular season started back in two thousand and two the first time they had one on the road, Muncie central point multi sell side. They don't talk to construction on the north walnut street field out. But still it's it's a road game for the first time they've ever one on the road against central when at least the first time in thirty years that they started eight and all they want seventy three fifty six today in Josh Brian continues his toward pace he's fit in three in scoring behind guys with the names of Luke Brown. Jaylen black man and look bomb blow. But there's this guy up in here in Delaware County that is as good as anybody. He scored twenty to thirty five points in the first half tonight coach that's impressive stuff. All right. Mark. I appreciate the call. Mark Forster from W in Muncie. Muncie central in delta tonight. This one goes to delta seventy three fifty six markets. Always great to talk to you have a great week. Thanks coach. Appreciate the stocks. In college basketball. Jevon Redmond joins me. The voice of the university of Evansville aces. Tough win for the aces tonight. They lose to a very impressive Jacksonville state team. Fifty five fifty early today. Jevon thank you so much for the call is a disappointing loss with the Acis today. It is true. Degree miss definitely one that they could have won on their home court. I came in at five zero. I'm inside four hundred thirty four straight non conference home games. Our last losses back in December twenty fourteen to Murray state. So they had done pretty well at home. It was a weird game. Like you look at the score is fifty five if the final score, but it wasn't really game. It's just bottom line is neither team because there wasn't many turnovers. Bob, as you know, some some nights. Both tease every Jack state goes to thirty five percent. As is go thirty one percent. Yeah. I understand it. You know, as is our six at twenty five from three which is a key part of what they tried to do. Similarly, Jack stages seven twenty three. So you're over there on the sidelines. Asking yourself is anyone going to knock down a jump shot today? No kidding. And you know, the the final point of the game or final play with five seconds to go down three in the frontcourt. Coach Walter McCarty. Call a timeout drew up a really good play. Evan Kuhlman for a topic. You three got a wide open. Look back the ball halfway down the buyout and Kuhlman had a had a tough day shooting. He was came from the field coach McCarthy trust in his hands. And he got a good luck. And Evans, a good shooter. He'll knock more times than not. But just one of those strange games Evans. Okay game. They could have won. But it's a group that still learning. So you know, you can use the word disappointing. But also, they're they're trying to grow from the defense was good. I mean. State team juniors and seniors to fifty five points. That's something take away from the old coach me, although not looking for excuses. I will tell you having coast a few teams when you come out of finals week. I don't think anybody knows what's going to happen. This is a typical Saturday afternoon after finals. This is exactly sometimes you'll get these kinds of games for which there is no explanation. You're right. And you know, Evansville, they took Monday Tuesday off from team basketball activities and focused on finals got that stuff. Taking care of an Ebola was coming off a big win against ball state last Sunday where they were down seventeen late first half a thirty six to eight run to capture lead, and then eventually beat a very solid cardinal cheap. So now, you wonder how young group right bonds after an impressive win at home. And you know, I don't think the ACC play poets that is shoot. Well, and coach McCartney sentence post game interview that we didn't hit shots night liked what they were getting no interaction offensively. And they're gonna hit some shots on Tuesday the Bob they travel to Murray state and winger. A great match up on Tuesday. Jacksonville state fifty five fifty winners over the university of Evansville ace's. Jevon Redmond the voice of the aces on the Saint Vincent sports performance. Holland jevon thanks so much for the call have a great weekend. You got a great match up in high school basketball tonight, number four and two eight number four and four a south western of Hanover, beating Jeffersonville seventy nine fifty to the head coach at southwestern Jerry bondholder joins me on the Saint Vincent's sports informers hotline coach that's a great win tonight. We started out at pretty even the first quarter. I think we're up one then we were able to to take advantage of some mismatches. And I'm Joe probably his kids didn't play as well. They could have played and we did we played about as well as we could possibly play and we were able to use their quickness and got got him off the dribble a lot and got to the free throw line and our kids just did a fantastic job. And I'm gonna tell you one thing if the Coleman kid from our trade from. Not getting some works. Boise a player. He got twenty against us tonight. And he's a very fine basketball player, but we're able to offset that with five guys in double figures in our balanced continues. And it was just a great win for kids. Probably not a a an open seat in the house would be my guess. And you know, look, there's is a tough place to play and going on the road. I think we all understand that. And you got out. I'm I'm assuming you got out early and in control. Well, we got up one, and we extended it I think that happened and got up to ten by the end of the third quarter and fourth quarter. They went to a little trap, and we were able to find a mentally take care of the basketball and get a lotta easy baskets, and like I said our kids just did an absolutely wonderful job. Him on the board. Athletic as I thought it was really important as I told her kids this morning that we needed to play the game on the floor, and they wanted to play by the ram, and we don't have those kind of athletes. So we're able to keep the game played on the floor and our kids they're taking care of. Tell me who plays. Well, well, we had like I said five guys. Allstate candidate? I agree with that. Twenty one. Shabwa point guard five sixteen Chappel Matthew waves at thirteen hundred twelve and then our freshman came in that goal and got us eleven and did a great job on the board. So we had really good balance again shopping mall. Extremely well. And. South western Hanover, beating Jeffersonville tonight seventy nine fifty two Jerry bomb. Hold on the Saint Vincent sports coats. Congratulations on the great win. And thanks so much for the call. Thank you. Thank you all were callers on the Saint Vincent sports performance island that I hesitate to use the word upset I don't like it that much, but because those both really good teams very well coached. But it's a big win for south western coming up in the next half hour and talk about the I you side of their win over Butler more high school basketball to talk about one of those great weekends. We got everything converging high school basketball. College basketball, the NFL a lot going on scoreboard update was rob cannon. I'm Bob level. "So we'll go through everything and anything that happened this evening. Number three, Notre Dame thirty six three winners over number twelve Syracuse division. One college football. They will travel to southern California next week to try to enter into the college football playoff number four. Michigan does the job. They need to do to stay in the top four for the college football playoff defeating the end of the day thirty one to twenty eight Purdue next week, and it's a big one because today Wisconsin defeated Purdue in triple overtime forty seven to forty four which means Purdue and Indiana meeting. Next week. Just for the old Kim bucket bonds for a berth for bowl eligibility not trying to get to that six wind barrier. "Four touchdowns for the Irish have come on the ground as Notre Dame bouncing off their bye week from a week ago. Purdue today not so much logging gets the Michigan state Spartans after their special week a week ago. Twenty three to thirteen Michigan state improves to five and three while the boiler makers four to four and four the mistakes were large for Purdue today, including three interceptions thrown from David Blau never really able to get their feet underneath them. All sensitively for network. Indiana, sports, Mark Forster. Welcome back everybody. I'm Bob level. This is Indiana sports. Greg rake shirl joins me on the Saint Vincent sports informants hotline. Hello, Greg, Greg straw, coach. You're a busy, man. Are you not? I am a believe it or not. I have a Saturday night off big game tonight at you today. I got to tomorrow I got chew on Monday. So I guess actually having a night off. They're probably a good back, which you're complain Kidwai real job or something. I know. So today, you were doing some HSA championship, right? Correct. I had the first two games a day. I had to one girl state soccer finals on the I HSA champions network. All right. So tell me tell me about the the games you had. Well, the theme of the day for soccer state finals was one nil. 'cause we had four of them over the blade realize two days. Both the games that I have that. So the one eight game was modern day and Wheeler in for the second consecutive year modern day wins by score of and nothing. It was one goal by Matty foles with four minutes left to go in that game. Really men with a hundred and forty one goals for on the year that was basically six and a half per game is the second straight year were they only lose in the state championship game to modern day every day defensively shuts down a very prolific offense by Wheeler modern day would they second consecutive girls. Soccer state championship. They have played to the final four of the last five years in the east east UT made the final each of the last two years they will vote play up into next year. This game was. Game number two was fedral and south bend Saint Joe Saint Joe is returning finalists from last year. So they will play up at three. But what was interesting in this game for Saint Joe is the fact Billy returned four starters from last year's team the two teams I referenced earlier both returned h starters for their teams that played last year. So it was not exactly a surprise that. They would play. They were reading numbers wanted to of the state with south bend St. Joe, I thought this year ticket back with with a largely different teams and key pieces were back, but a largely different team still deploy thought was very impressive. Traditionally has a very good soccer program. In fact, they have won a pair of single class championships back in two thousand seven and two thousand nine but they finished the season at seven four four a good team. But but not a team that really overwhelmed if anything they did from sister standpoint. But once they got into the postseason teams simply did not score. It gets them in six games by day allow two goals and much as they did against the defending champs memorial last week. They got early goal and made it hold up. They scored a minute and a half into today's game. It was married worse with the only goal the game per cathedral, and they were able to hang onto that one goal leaf for seventy eight minutes in claiming their first soccer state title since two thousand nine and their third program districts. That's impressive stuff. No question about it. All right. So you mentioned you're working tomorrow. I can't imagine. What game you're working? Moral. Other than the colts game while the other game at work. You wouldn't be IEP you I soccer. So I get to go. That's right. So they play it warn. And with a win. They would qualify for the horizon league tournament for the first time but their second year in the league, but it would be their first conference post-season appearance in five years the men's soccer program at UP you. I fortunately has been right. But of the downslide they did not win a game last year. They have worn only three this year, but all three of those have been conference games. And if they win tomorrow, they would have enough qualified nine teams play soccer the horizon league six Baker conference tournament. But what is unique about our UT? You why is that the teams in the league you kind of have to rotate the by UI has the last buys somebody else leak plays it mid week. Because in the conference tournament starts the following Monday are UP they are done with the regular season tomorrow. So if they win they know they are, and if they lose there's really not a way for them to get it. So. Conference tournament hopes all on beating northern Kentucky tomorrow at one o'clock Greg show with this on the Saint Vincent sports performance hotline. I can't believe Monday you, and I are working we are working. The central state game. I I love this. I think is fantastic, quite frankly. No doubt about it. Obviously, this is in part a result of of the fact the college basketball season starts about four or five days earlier. Yeah. Yeah. So normally you'll have teams that play either to exhibition games or one. And if you're only playing Warren, what that means is that you had a close scrimmage at some point. You. I it last weekend like in Chicago state. It's funny. Everybody reports their scores on these closed. Just not all that close. I you. I won that scrimmage by thirty six against Chicago state, which is a good sign. They get to see a familiar face. Joseph Christ is the head coach at central state, right? Or from Marian play. The Notre Dame was on the IEP staff when they made the NCAA tournament. I can't believe I'm saying this sixteen years ago. I know. Maybe NCAA tournament. But act that was at ball state and ten dollars is the head coach at central state to know your phases for you. I refer Richard five of their nine rotational players from last year. But they also have several transfers who are sitting out they get to play this year. So in no particular order, tampered Justice, former Kentucky, Mr. basketball, you know, Bahamas last name. Exactly. So I just look for the tall guy from Egypt. Also grant what the play and play Purdue. And so those three guys come in. And so while they didn't play last year they were part of the program. So really you have eight guys back from the season ago. So extensive playing time and simply put I think greater expectations for UTD why this year than they probably had for the last seven or eight years, and hopefully while they were very competitive in their I league, they've got fifteen home games. You know, one of those being in the horizon league, I think it's fair to say that a reasonable expectations for this group is the half their first over five hundred record in eight years. I think that's gotta be a goal for chasing gardener and company this year. So we're doing that Monday night tomorrow. Colts taking on Oakland your hosting the call in show after the game. You got a couple of minutes. You're telling me about that. It better be a good one Oakland is very good. And and Oakland wanted a couple of teams that have identified themselves that sellers before the trade deadline having shipped off their top wide receiver. Mario Cooper on Monday. The fact they are one five they are coming off a day fi. But they simply have Embiid doc, very good. And it appears they're building for time in Las Vegas. Not so much time in Oakland. Top running back at marshawn Lynch will not play is out for blood because at a groin injury. And Derek Carr has been beat up this year. They are starting rookies at left tackle. And right tackle. That's the good news for the colts. Even better news for the colts. Is that their pass rushes is about as healthy as it has been now jihad war who has been impressive as kind of an early season five for GM. Chris Ballard he is injured and out out for the year with an ankle injury suffered last week. You've got areas Leonard healthy you've got Margus hunt. Healthy you've got to Nico. Autry back missed the last two weeks. But the last time that he plays. He had a pair of Saxony game for the colts. So this is one that yes, it is a road trip ended a long distance away. But it is one where the schedules acres appear to have been tied to the colts. They should be able to get their first back to back wins two years. It hasn't happened. Just forty sixteen. Let's hope it happens. Tomorrow approximately seven o'clock eastern time, Greg straw. He's the man you're gonna catch him on the colts in show after the game tomorrow, and you can catch Greg in me SPN three Monday nine as we do the UP wash central state game. And you can just catch him on the ISP sports network. Every twenty four hours a day. He's everywhere. He's pretty much. Yes. When we wake me to call multiple football games. So yeah, I'm on a lot on yield. The good news is you're gonna be on there with me, which is really cool. Knowing that you, and I are together we'll be Franklin and Indian creek on November the twenty I hate to travel on that one. But okay, I'll do it. Six miles. I know it's a struggle. Franklin is interest. Salgar? Words in there. It is much Greg Greg strong. It's always great to talk to you. Thanks so much for the call. Greg is on the Saint Vincent sports from online. We have a lot of football. The talk about after the scoreboard update. Also coming up in the next hour jobs as equal. Lemme. We'll talk about the colts and Oakland a little bit more and Paul Kandari. And really we we have to real good safeties in in Mike Brown, and Harry Oakes in both those two kids really controlled the game from the defensive side who else plays. Well, you've got a bunch of guys. Let's talk about what you did defensively going against that. Then offense is hard. You kid stepped up on the defensive side. Well, it's you know, it's a tough offenses fans. And you know, I thought the game plan and the kids responded to that game plan for every well, and you know, our kids made place, y'all. We turn them over you know, and what we were able to do off those turnovers by by scorns points. You get out in front. It allowed us to play a little freer and kind of force them into getting into from playing from the wing t offense is not at all since that really is a come from behind type of offense. And so we force them to throw the ball that more. We were able to get an interception late in the third quarter. And and kinda shut off a drive, and then we scored off of that interception eventually on a on an ice drives. So really when when you look at everything what we've done. He's these past few weeks. We've done it in all three phases. On offense is played well inconsistent or defensive play consistent and the are special teams that don't rule. Good north central over Senator of tonight twenty six fourteen Kevin O'Shea on the is sports performance sideline. Kevin. Thanks for the call. You look to next week. Yeah. Good talking to you about my pre. I appreciate it. Thanks so much. Kevin sailor joins me the head coach Carol a floor. A take itself. Win tonight eastern. Green town beats them this evening coach. I appreciate the call. It's a tough loss to a good team tonight. Yeah. They're they're pretty solid football. The. Right now, they're all of the top ten teams, basically in to a you know, they they have a quarterback, that's an outstanding football players. So you know, we also pretty good football team. And I know coming in you, you knew this was going to be a challenge. There's no question about it. And give me some bright spots on this game. Well, you know, we had we had a senior Clinton beach step up. He made Smith's catches the game. We blew the football a little bit of the second half. We have a one point we had four freshman on the defensive side with some injuries. I wouldn't linebacker case in wherever they came in. And did a nice job outside linebacker. Well, I mean now you've gotta bounce back. Now, you're going to get a group of young guys who are really feeling badly yet again to bounce back this week in practice. Yeah. You know, we we've got an opportunity and actually we got another conference game, which is central. We've had to really good opponents last two weeks with eastern and Sheridan. And we just gotta get ourselves focused. You keep our energy up and keeps them proven. All right. Kevin sailor is the head coach had Carol floor. They lose to eastern green town tonight. Kevin. I appreciate it. Best of luck to you and your guys next week. Thank you. Thanks so much. Steve Cole joyously w ASL and Santa Claus. He has the call of heritage chills is sixty five seven win over north Posey's on the Saint Vincent's sports performance line. Hello, steve. Good to talk to you. To you the hills. Very impressive win over north Posey tonight. Yeah, they improved to five and now back to more of the traditional to running game. But with a slightly different. Look this year. They do mix in the traditional wishbone part of patriot football forever. But more more of a Affleck's bone, look, but still getting tons of guys involved in the running game forty nine hundred forty five yards and seven rushing touchdowns and about ten or eleven different guys scary the football tonight. Nobody for Hugh charged everybody for for good average average seven yards a carry on the game. And you got guys but one one with eighty five sixty to fifty five fifty one forty two thirty seven. So they get a ton of guys involved hard for the defense to to account for everybody all the time and the ball hasn't had to go to the air a lot. They have a lot of confidence in their junior quarterback Colt. Sigler? He's also a very good runner you returned a punt for a touchdown in this ball game for fifty five yards tonight as well and therefore back from a year ago made a very senior moving and was willing moved to the running back position this year in k Jones, and he's been outstanding in that role. So they've got a lot of weapons, but we will find out a huge amount about this. As a big win at Jasper last week in the in the torrential downpour on Saturday afternoon. We'll find out a huge amount about them in the next to reach little games. Gibson, southern and at the reigning champs ridge both in conference play. So we'll find out about this team a lot here in the next two weeks after a very nice win tonight where they scored every time they touched the football except for when they got it back for twenty seconds to go in the first half chills. Number eleven in three eight tonight. They beat north Posey sixty five seven W, A excels. Steve Cole Saint Vincent sports performance. Holly. Steve, it's always great to talk to you. Thanks so much for the call. Great to talk to you too. Bob. Thanks, Mark Forster joys me the head, man. The head man. I mean that sincerely at WFAN. Who'd you have tonight. I delta in mount Vernon. Delta one forty five fourteen go, okay? Good win. That's a good one. Yeah. It's a really solid win. It was a Ted six game heading into halftime. A mount Vernon actually scored with about a minute. Twelve left in the first half to really make things. Interesting because they got the ball to start the second half. They took it down to the delta. Keen on a four minute twenty minutes or twenty second tribes. Delta turn them over on downs from that point on. It was all delta. They added a couple. Couple touchdowns. Stairs, a third three in the fourth two of which in the second half were via the defense on interceptions for touchdowns. It was a really complete victory in the second. After after a little scared there at the end of the first half coach. Well, there's delta team continues to play well played a high level. Don't they? Well coming into the game tonight. I don't have the countdown. They had thanked team touchdowns on the year from nine different players different players crossing yards. So it is really by committee tonight wrinkle that was opened up was the passing game. They came in with four hundred sixty yards passing four games pretty young through through for about three hundred nights. So they had more than half of that production and tonight's contest Cameron whoever's had two touchdown grabs. That's a big one for sixty eight yards. It was a one point sixty eight yard touchdown. Grab from levers and delta three in a row. And yeah, gets a team in mount Vernon that they've lost six out of the last eight against it's the first one in the regular season gets mount Vernon twenty twelve delta over mount Vernon tonight, forty five fourteen w exit bans Mark Forster on the Saint Vincent's sports performance hotline markets, always great to talk to you have a great weekend. I'll look forward to a thanks so much. Thanks.

"But that's what they're really about is it's about hanging out with these characters and I'd like Denzel on rainy. Enjoy watching compete, the shit out of people. But honestly, if I'm going to do that rather rewards the book of Eli. Listen, I had a blast that I gave it three stars, but in my heart, I think is probably a little for JIMBO things to who knows. You know which one of his rights who knows, it's me so can three stars. You haven't seen it. I'm usually device. I have a coin and you're gonna kill us with it. Why not going to set the timer for twenty. Toss the coin. All right. Yeah. Has this is how we write things empire heads. I'm right. This is tales. You're right. This is compelling podcast. I will I will come go and and watch watch the the film. film. How about the. You've already decided, you know, I had a bit of a helping. There is a bit with the helping guy. I don't remember the harpoon gun, but there you go. Toss the coin. Again, here we go. It's heads. I'm right. So three star saying for the cleanser too, and we'll be tossed the coin of the second Christopher, Robin, as well on this is a sequel to Winnie the Pooh. This is a very strange film only. I've seen it here. So I'm gonna talk about bravery briefly and this stars, you immigration as Christopher, Robin, who of course is the friend and companion of Winnie the Pooh and lose a Milne stories was if there was. What for thirty seconds and stroz into the hundred acre woods. Being beaten up by was to Robby Gordon's reckoning. So this is my Mark Forster, and this is this positive self as a sequel to winning the poo. So the idea is that the stories wanted to our real Christopher, Robin, as a kid did hang out in hundred acre wood. That was called never believed that was infra PU brain join up. I only became approve Ryan later life and he hangs out with with what's his face, the big the Honey. What are you is still shut coconut all the way through is absolately shared. Caulking, do not see the pupils. So it's a your tigger donkey. Does your. Kanga Andrea. He ran out of some point at some point meal. Stop giving shit about the names. Here's a bear who likes Honey, what am I gonna call him? I'm going, what are the the this donkeys, quite quite quite lachrymose. He's quite lugubrious what I'm going to call him your us. Good name. Here's a rapid. Fuck it rabbits. There's an owl. Do piglet piglet. Yeah. Well, here's the thing that bounces string take her. That'll do. Tiger. That's lunch in the mill. Anyway. So the idea that these are real and there's no way that one hundred. Fucking way. So Christopher Robin grows up and becomes you McGregor. He has a higher ground and he becomes he fights in World War One. I want to say one of the world wars, and then he becomes an idled and he begins to put away childish things, and he falls in love with the out well and they as daughter and he gets about Winnie the Pooh, but Winnie the Pooh still exists back in one hundred acre wood. And then there's a plot contrivance that gets when the poo back into the life of Christopher, Robin, just at the point when he needs just when they thought he was out..

Last I, mean the idea the clock being this really kind of terrifying, thing and it could actually finish you off and and also the pressure of time in the real world versus the blue skies and and the sense of taking things moment of time in the hundred acre forest that you work really hard to make those kinds of textual differences play too didn't. You but there was a painter called. Lowry I was very inspired by for all the, fall the city scape in. London he was a painter at a time and and he, he he's like. Lot he doesn't use a lot of color in its paintings in bed with the. Caller he does use gets very, poignant but the all the people is very gray in the slim stickshift kind of, how Will he paints people and he was sort of reference for me in when we designed the sort of the London part of the film because at that time London had. A lot of fog coal so dirty. From just after the war exactly was really dirty, so so to keep that. That feeling alive that it's not a pristine city and there's, not much greenery. Or caller Bush kind of snow to the London of finding Neverland or feels like. "To rediscover the joys of life. All right. So we're going to give a brief thoughts on the film and then dive and dispose because it's going to be hard to talk about this movie without spoiling some stuff. But Christie, you're really excited to talk about this on the podcast today was. 'cause I hate this movie. I hate it deeply. I love Winnie the Pooh. I grew up with the Disney animated cartoons more than the books, but I, I loved who's kind of jaunty tales. I loved how he didn't seem too bothered by anything. I loved him getting stuck in walls. I love to songs. I love the two thousand eleven movie that didn't do very well, but his enchanting drawn. Right. You're talking about rights full. Yeah, it was really lovely, so, but this movie has concerned me for a time and it was because when they announced it one focusing on Christopher, Robin, which if you know anything about the real Christopher, Robin Milne his life wasn't awesome to they flick announce Alex Ross Perry's gonna write this and I'm like, oh, the guy known for like on we navel-gazing dramas, sweet. Mark Forster who like I was like, so it's going to be like they're finding Neverland. That's what we're going for. And like all of this me steadily more concerned, they hired Tom McCarthy to clean up the script, they hire, I think, what is her name? Alison? I wanna say shoemaker. Remember that Schroeder Allison Schroeder from Hidden Figures. And to me, both of those hires on the scripts seemed to suggest that they're trying to kind of get a little more hurt in there because those people are more for like things that are kind of depressing, but also inspiring. And I was just like, oh, I'm I'm not gonna like this am I? And then when the designs came out, just what are these designs? Why does like I understand the the, the drive to want it to be photo real and you're thinking, oh, but if they're toys in the era and blah, blah, blah, they should be like raggedy and stuff like that. But to me and his friends in this movie look like they can wander off into like it or an Annabel sequel like they're creepy looking. And I actually think the most of the creatures look fine, but peu himself. Looks really, really warn, you know, like really worn out mouth is just too small. This part of it, rough shape. He looks in Russia. You look at the posters. They're all very vividly colored in a cartoon. If in the movie they are not. Everything has like a gray Paul over it for like the first hour and like. Yeah, I was just boomed. I was just like it's as if they, it's as if they hired a bunch of yours to make this movie and look, I love e r begin need the balance. You need some tigger. You need some energy. And this movie is just such like it's so dour for the first hour that like it hits one point which talk about spoil? No, I'll just say there's a point where Christopher Robin screams at who for a while and I was like, I wanted to leave. I did not have to sit there and watch that movie for my job. I would've walked out because like there's enough terrible stuff going on right now on the world. I do not need a full grown man yelling at PU, bear, like how dare you, sir. So, yeah, no, I hate this movie, Jeff. Can. Chris? Well. No, no, no. I thought it was delightful. I didn't. I didn't love it. I think the third act is clunky and abrupt and poorly executed. I think the we'll talk about that. I think the third act is is straight a bad, but I, I liked most of this movie. I had. I had a lovely time. I don't have a particular affection for Winnie the Pooh as a character. I mean, I I, I was a child of, I was child at one point. So of course I'm familiar with Winnie the Pooh and the voice. The fact that they got you know that that voice to to do again, is Connie and stirs something in me. That is that is deepened childlike. But mostly what I loved about this is that that sense of Phut as you know, as written as a, you know, a zen cone, you know his his sort of zen philosophy of life. I found it to be enchanting. I really did. I thought..

This, pack upon Stella Stevens you can't get. Much better. Than seriously yeah we'll have to look for that one all right let's get back to our movies list. Because, there is another one that is far removed, from black faience That I also am by the way I did see. The. Trailer for black. Klansman and in the theater when we went to see. The other movie sorry to bother you and, the and the trailer they showed David. Duke, in the trailer so that was kind. Of interesting. Yeah Christopher Robin is one I want to say oh yeah the Disney the new Disney movie Christopher Robin Winnie. The Pooh, on well yeah yeah, I, I'm I, know I'm going to say. But which I say I, you, and McGregor stars he plays a grownup, Christopher Robin he's an. Adult now with adult responsibilities? And it's just lovely you and you know what this is a role that I swear, to, God, on, paper Probably appeared as unplayable but McGregor, is excellent in this, and that's just one of? The reasons to see but he plays a grownup Christopher Robin And like, I? Said I thought, this picture tooth and nail, because you could totally telegraph. Where it was going you know he's like he's an adult now right so you. Know now that he's an adult. You know away childish things, he's got all that the, way to the world on he's. Got all this responsibility so he's kinda lost his ability he's childlike sense of, wonder play immagination and you know, because he's so busy being responsible he at times lose the, sight. Of, what is really important in his, life like, the low of his kids like the love of his daughter and his wife and yeah. Okay but but I have. To admit that I mean, this is, it was clear where this was movie, going going, from from from the beginning it's it's an original story it's based, on the characters of, course and it was directed, by finding Netherlands Mark Forster and. It's basically a live action extension of their Winnie. The Pooh Disney's Winnie the Pooh, animated The, franchise Which comes as. No surprise it's it's an given the way movies are made these days and the stories about I just said that how. You know Christopher Robin and you know is, he's lost his, sense, of, imagination, until won't, go into the details he's reunited, with his stuff, to bear pow Winnie, the Pooh Pooh Pooh gang you know piglet kanga. And Roo or any or of course and I'll tell you. I'll tell, you what I liked about the film it. Was well, intention and its message never really wore out I mean, all, that stuff they were saying is true I mean I know. A lot of people like the grownup Christopher. Robin and the movie had its own sense of. Charm and humor the audience I saw, with absolutely loved it. The bursts of unified guffaws over, the film's humor that level of response from an audience one rarely experiences anymore when you go to the. Movies so the movie captured something I and I think it was just. A universal truth that's resonating with audiences I also what I like and what made Who different from all the other versions I've. Seen when I was in high school somebody gave. Me a copy of the book it, was called the design. Of PU which I read and, loved and that's what this movie captured that book who is really this unconscious master of the art of. Zan he's really Xen creature. In this movie Who isn't it How doing nothing is doing something and doing that doing nothing will oftentimes lead to the best of something else and that doing nothing in and of itself can oftentimes be a bomb. For the soul he has the, sense of play which. He embodies daily he appreciates the simple things in life, like, good friends family and the. People he loves and, of course, food you know, in case Honey which he just can't seem to get enough enough of the importance. Of being fully he's always fully present in the now, in the moment somebody asked him, in the movie what? Day is, it and, he he says it's today my. Favorite day berries and he also Coon when he remarks at one point, in the, story he said I always get to where I'm going by walking away from, where I've been I mean it's really. An all the Pooh characters are here the animated digital, rendering of the characters works really, well in many ways? It's more, charming than, the than the famous hand-drawn animation. Disney cartoons and the voice actor Jim Cummings does a superb recreation of, Disney's original, voice for Winnie the Pooh character actor.

"And even they had some scenes got physical, but they were. They were still something clever in the way they was set up. Yes, yes. And it was all within their world, bringing them out into the real world like you see. See them doing here just pulls away so that some of the sentimentality this is a guy that has to brace his childhood again in a sort of being a crazy way in order to get was wrong with his life. And imagine if that is something that once again, now he's learned a lesson even though they'll make a sequel to one day, but imagine how moving that could have been for him to have to say goodbye again, if they that lesson, even though they're imaginary it, did they did not need to be real. They did not hit, especially with no explanation for it for me. That's just that's lazy writing, man. That's let's let's get this kid's. The thing I kept thinking I was like, man, there's so many seem to this. Mark forced to the director is like, man, this guy, Mark Forster. Yeah, forced you did of the finding Neverland, right? Yes, yes. And did he do the movie was and quantum solace and. On a bunch of stuff I saw on the list and I'll tell you, I really like the actors Haley will alike in. Yeah, I think she's underused, but she is really put into its, but you know, like when they show it this, this to people who did the story and three of the people who did the script and it was it was like he, he directed his ass off the try to make a weak script nutsy Mike years. But ultimately it is a weak script. I even like the little girl in here, the little girl that even though we're talking about the family, giving his guilt trip, the little girl name is Bronte Carmichael, but she wasn't bradey issue how to put a. She knew. Guilt trip on that look right there. I mean, she ain't saying she like, well, you know, go and do what you gotta do. I'll just be here. I know him up either really is. You work and you'll just be missing much who. Don't make dollars, don't. I know it's been gone for six hours. Yeah, man. I, I don't know. I felt like there was a movie that could have got everything they want to do. If they, if they wanted to get wacky, they could have been a balanced there. Even if they want to get kind of crazy with this is Christopher Robin store, you know, Robin stone with him, losing his mind. They could have done all this stuff without having to care to be real. And in a lot of you probably say, well, no, you nitpicking. But I mean. In twenty eighteen. We had another talking CG bear movie that kicked this as the Paddington to Paddington to did everything that this movie was trying to do, but did is so much better. They explain why the bear talks all the character spilt real all the antics built like they were part of the story in and I didn't look. I'm not crazy about Christopher, Robin, the movie right here, which I really wasn't the first Petit MS. But looking at this just makes me even like a little more harsh on it. Wow, you know what I was thinking. I was the only one who felt this way coming out, no people clapped in the theater and I was like, all right. They fall under the magic and I wish I could be. I spent the whole time pass at fifty. I fifteen minutes thinking, man. This is just reminded me a two other movies that goodbye Christopher, Robin, and Paddington to that. In London I suppose To be a lot of people have been. Looking forward to this? One, what did you think well it's the latest Disney effort to turn some of their old cartoon. Material into live action fair this one is a combination of live, action and computer generated animation and what it does, is, take an older Christopher Robin who's a very unhappy in his, job in post war London because he's going to have to lay off a bunch of people and it reunites him magically with Winnie the Pooh and all the other forest animals from issues and. That experience sorted rejuvenates, him he learns once again what it means to, have childlike wonder and awe and you decide to spend, more time with his family and he solves all these problems at work very easily and all this sort, of thing He wants to be a feel-good uplifting movie and to a certain extent it is However I think most people will find it. More dollar than it? Ought, to be there the problem really is with the direction of Mark Forster he made finding Neverland. Years ago if you remember that film and his style is so, subdued and the colors are so washed out in, the, imagery that you get the feeling that whatever effervescence the movie, ought to have just isn't fair they try very hard the animation is nice they've recaptured the voices of Winnie the Pooh and tigger that sterling Holloway in Paul wind chill used to do in. The old animated versions, of the fellow Jim Cummings who does those voices, now is very good but overall I think this movie, sort of runs out of gas it tries to be really uplifting and almost like a Frank Capra movie and it doesn't quite make it if you're in a stall Jake for these characters you'll probably have a. For the year it was probably trying to learn how to. Talk about finishing do you agree with that Absolutely I mean when you look at last year that was like. The theme over and. Over was up, there a play away or they're. You know three or. Four plays away. Or whatever the case may be I thought it was interesting this week a big ten football media day up in Chicago that was one of, the things that Tom Allan talk about was when you look, back on last year and that and kind. Of looked at the year whole and, maybe, the kinds of things, he, felt, like they. Needed to do better one of the big things was that. He just felt like his guys, were playing too many plays he likes to see his defensive players, for, example be playing fifty plays. A game or or maybe sixty but you know these guys are playing. Eighty plays a game last year and you know that that can be a part of of of what's making it hard for you. To finish games maybe it's an excuse maybe it's not but. I think that's one thing Indian still see. Different with Indiana football this year you're going to see a lot more guys clients and there's this. New redshirt ruled that will help them, in that, regard to, so it could be interesting when I look. At this Jerry, we talked about the start of the year where you, go to Florida international to start the year on Saturday September first then you have three straight home games have catapult. You into the big. Ten play but, she ever genre in Embalse stage When you look at that start Terry, it's like man three in one right Is, that the way, you look at it Football for twenty one years never do At it like that because it. Never happened You know they'll they'll find a way to to lose to someone that you would never have thought they'd lose to Come. Back the, next week and beat somebody they're not supposed to be so no I I try not to do that That's one. Thing but I mean you look at ball state ball states had their number. I think, beat, them three last four times so No I think that when you look at it so whenever you look at Indiana, football it's always that same formula and that's that you got to win your nine conference games and, then you gotta, in in this case you. Gotta find a way to go three and six in the big ten and and then you you know you you can get postseason eligible you know they're real close. Last year, the here's, a thirty one twenty four loss to, Purdue in the. Bucket that kept, him out of their third consecutive bowl game and yeah. I mean, when you're playing in the big. Kenny It's always going to be hard Michigan state Michigan Penn State Ohio State of You know and so now you have to. Find a way, in those other conference scans the Rutgers game. The Maryland game Purdue north Minnesota up there those are the kinds of gains you're. Gonna have, to find, a, way to, win but again So your point coming out of the non conference season with three wins has to be you know you know the big part of. That variable Terry we've got sixty seconds year rapid, fire here a player? That that's going to, be an? Impact player that nobody is talking about that is going to is going to. Have a large, spotlight on them after a couple of weeks. When we when we see them make an impact who would that be who comes. To mind I mean the first? Guy is probably Brandon Doc doctrines the transfer quarterback from Arizona that I think will come in here and play right away. And and and do a pretty good job that's Terry Hutchins. Covering the Indiana hoosiers for over twenty years Jerry. Glad we got to fit you in a it's good to. Talk to you again and we'll. Talk soon thanks. So much for the time take care now that's? Jerry, on the Saint Vincent. Sports. Performance hotline yeah he brings up in absolutely if you've been covering them as long as you have and you've been flowing as. A fan, for, as long as you have. Of course that's that's the reaction you, get, when you look at this and. Say hey this ain't this isn't too bad this isn't too bad for the international. Virginia mall, state Michigan state, three and one but yeah it's I you but we're going to put the positive spin that this year is gonna be the one against the mold than, I use going to make some things happen but a very.
