"With a bum. Knee is still way off the charts. I mean you could do a lot of exercising and you're just trying to find stuff that doesn't aggravate it but you can also get multiple benefits by finding things that not only don't aggravated but maybe things that might strengthen it and you can kind of look some of these things up again ben. Patrick is one of the leading experts in this area. I think You can look up. Something called a peterson. Step up There are other exercises such as walking backwards with a sled can be tremendous. Ju just a sled has wait. A minute. And again ben patrick. He's smart and he knows like not. Everyone has access to you a sled that they can load plates on and it's not always easy to use that kind of stuff use it outside. It's loud and so he just recommends people get an old beat up backpack throw some weight in their attach of rope to it and then put it on your lifting belt and walk backwards with it and do it like in a field or something like that so there's just so many options in terms of You know even when we are her even when we are banged up but be patient with it and don't do a good rule thumb in terms of injury in terms of. I guess just pain in general. I think anyone could use this any time in the gym. And there's i'll give you a couple of good rules of thumb here. Number one is don't train above a pain level of three in terms of like discomfort and actual not like musk muscular Pain not like oh man. I don't know if i can do in the rep type stuff but More so just acute pain. You know you've got pain in your shoulder elbow or knee should never be above a level. Three notice. I said we're never right. Never be above a pain three. There's no reason it's not any more beneficial to continue to do that. Exercise hurts that bad. It's going to cause more damage other things to keep in mind our that your your first rep should look like i'm sorry you're last rep should look like your first rep and i believe that this is fairly true of all exercises almost all the time maybe ninety five or ninety eight percent of your training should look that way your last rep of your last set should look like the first rep of your first set. You're last rep of your last set. Should look like the first rep of your first set. Wait can dictate your reps and reps can dictate your weight. But they should be dictating each other for sure again. Meaning like if i'm going to put two hundred pounds something or one hundred kilos as you guys say. Put about one hundred kilos on something. Then i need to in my head. Associate a number of reps with that. That are reasonable for me to be able to do. And this is how we can avoid getting hurt in the first place. So hopefully all. Those things are helpful. There's also like a lot of other exercises you can do. Sometimes we tend to make fun of some of the stuff we see in jams but there's that nominal ergonomic where you can just move your arms you can also hit like a heavy bag Just you know punching like a heavy bag which just might be great released because of your frustrations with you know The knee pain. You can hit a speed bag which is just some fun exercise and you might be able to do something like an elliptical. You don't sleep on those things that there are still great forms of exercise And you can also kind of take this time to as you pointed out You know build up your upper body a bit train your arms a little bit more. Do more pushups. But if you're still trying to keep that heart rate elevated maybe you're able to get on an elliptical piece for thirty seconds. Go at pretty hard pop off there and do some shoulder flies. Go back to the elliptical comeback to the weights and and do You know some curls and so forth and still get amazing workouts. I think you'll be surprised and shocked at how awesome the workouts can be. Even though.

"Had like the celery and parsley things would never eat in start to get that intelligence in my body and started change my palate and so i've learned like okay we do have these supplements climent but the food is really the biggest thing because of like this bioavailable more bioavailable nutrients like i really kinda start to click these things together me being my i best subject was really like math in in signs you know but not like biology <unk>. I hated it. I don't understand why we dissecting fucking worm. The you know in the because it didn't wasn't relevant to me and so but my analytical nature i started to ask questions and i just realized wait. This supplement was just invented like last week. Versus food like people have been eating this grass fed beef for thousands of years so i started to just go and eat more of the foods at the nutrients senate and not still doing some supplements but that's when really things shifted so it was both but the nutrition took longer like i i kind of like fiddled with it a while the exercise part was the thing that i really went into. What do you see the biggest. Excuse people make when you're trying to help them like the the person that you're dealing with that does really struggling and not making progress yet such a good question man you know this is the first thing jumps to mind was it's they're. They're they blame other people you know they don't have the support of the people are making it difficult for them. He knows their kid. I i would do that but i don't have a fridge at work. Yeah do that but my wife. She's not going to help not gonna cook cook different from me. You just like my husband. He's always frying. Whatever are you know like and so. That's what it is. It's nice to just do that. Just take all the blame shut off on other people and that's what goes back to what changed. My life was like taking responsibility <hes> but i understand how easy it is point fingers. Yeah you know and the crazy and this is why the i even got to a point in my practice whenever i could. I wouldn't just talk to the patient listen. I would have like their significant other. Come along too so we can all talk about this shit together so we can get onto an accord. You know because a lot of times. It's just that that comfort the same thing in a relationship. It's not that they're trying to sabotage. You know your success but they're comfortable with who you are where you are right now themselves you know even though they want you to get better but that's going to push up against them as well and their their belief about who they are. Maybe they need to improve and of course there's like fear ear envy involved as well like people leaving you in these kind of crazy things your spouse lose fifty pounds whereas that leave you right yeah so you know just getting people in the household together are there on the same accord and then pointing out excuses that we give like you said like. I don't have a refrigerator work. There's like the reason one hundred pounds overweight excessive. You knows like literally we can go from like here. Bring a mini fridge to your job..

"Then. He told me he's gonna simeon for <hes> m._r._i. My spine. I'm i literally mike but my leg hurts like what the what you mean yeah because i didn't get it there any of this was connected and so he put the morale for me to see and he showed me i two ruptured discs as well because there were so degenerated l four or five one and he told me that i had the spine of an eight eight year old man when i was not a healthy eight year old man and the thing marxist like maybe ten years from that his disk look fantastic but anyway so so <hes> yeah i i was happy because i was like okay now. I know it's wrong and so but i want to ask him. What can we do to fix it. He laid he looked at me like us from another planet and he was like like this. You know there's nothing new about this. This is something that happens and i'm sorry happen to you and is was one of the biggest miracles in my life life because i don't know where the question came from because i had no idea that matter but i asked him. Does this have anything to do with what i'm eating and he i mean he he looked at me like i literally just came from another from uranium area fifty one is so he looked at me like just like this. This has any told me. This has nothing to do with what you're eating and little. Did i know it had everything to do with whereas eating made out of just the worst possible possible you know and so bottom line long story short for me. It took two years before i started asking different questions because all it did from that point took twenty. Two twenty two was asked why me why won't they help me. I've been to this doctor and went to four different doctors total and they all gave me the same story and they were telling me. There's nothing you can do about this. I'm sorry you know this is just something that happens and it took me two years before i took responsibility for myself and just like let me find out about my body because i live here and i didn't know a thing about myself in so i this like with the doctor google you know and the internet was kinda. Just this pop in a time now and i just was like looking at like what what are what are bones made of what are your disk made of asking different questions and i found out my intervertebral disc disc that were so degenerated their most water a big portion of it but here's what what was so interesting is that there is there called their non vascular that means is in water and nutrients. Don't get their directly. It's a process called. Remote diffusion so bottom line is your body puts a lower priority on the head the the health of your disc versus other things in your body like your brain. If you bring in any water scotto their first for your blood <hes> in came across some research researchers found that when your body's deficient in these key nutrients it will literally leach from your bones and from your spine one of the first places at your body will go and take those minerals to eighty processes like clotting your blood. Maybe that's what happens when you're sick like your back hurts when you're sick you back at stiff neck that type of thing ever thought about that but <unk> but could be related to stem cells and things like that but and so for me i realise it wow like i've been doing this to myself like this is my fault. It's not just something anthem at happens or being. There are things that do happen are absolutely but i realized that i put the responsibility of myself and caring for myself off on all these other people external to me we even if they meant well. They don't they don't do this stuff for me. They can't they're not like spoon feeding me and so once i started to find all of these different nutrients insana found out what like my bones all i knew about calcium because marketing <hes> are found out like there's like twenty five other things many of them might be more important than calcium for for aiding in the development art bones and sell..

"We can both eat the same two thousand calories and i might gain weight on that diet. You might lose weight just because of how your metabolism set. We all have a unique metabolic fingerprint. That's going to determine what the calories do that. We consume now. I'm not saying the calories don't matter. This is a unit measurement that gives us a baseline measurement. We got right cannot dislike fully make it religion. You know that's that's dangerous because again. It's gonna work for some people because some people listening there was like i've just measure my calories count my macro. I win you know but that doesn't happen for everybody. Everybody got to understand that because again we blame the other person so i just matter of fact. I'm gonna pull a study up right now. It's the points that you're bringing up a really interesting thing. I think you know a great place to try to get somebody to you. Know have them say they lost twenty pounds n._f._l. Easy to them. That's always the hope that's always the goal and i think that's why there's so much dispute going back and forth between carnivore diet <hes> if it's your map rose there's all these different diets and people getting excited but it's usually like a guy i like myself who who utilized a low carb diet. I used to weigh three hundred and thirty pounds and i've nowadays we in the thirties and i feel so darn good about. I wanna share with everybody and then sometimes you're thinking hey the only way i can share this. Get people excited about if a bash everybody else over the head with a baseball bat of why i'm doing it but it's i realized it's there's not a reason to do that because the people that are counting their calories. They got healthier year then. Let it be. It's they got in better shape. That's cool. That's why you're good what you do as well as just like. We go then phase of like wanting to bat but there's so many different paths to the goal so listen to it so this was a study is was published in the journal cell till peer-reviewed prestige journal they found that the presence of a certain type of gut bacteria actually blocked people's intestines from absorbing as many calories from the food aid the the bacteria in your gut determine airman how much is getting shuttled from your gut which are gut in a sense is kind of leg..

"Interesting when you start to somebody comes to you and they're like hey man. I'm heavier than i wanna be. I need need help. You write out your are extra prescription has like hey you need to sleep better and they come back and they're like i haven't lost any weight yet in like any to sleep better they come back and he needed to sleep better and you keep saying it over and over again you finally start to get them to sleep better and this is something i've been communicating with people for a long time not so much about sleep and i don't know nearly the amount that you know when it comes to sleep but what i do know is that so many people in their effort to lose weight or in their effort to like feel healthier feel better they're going to the gym and they're really they're working faces off here and they are sleep deprived and not only are they sleep deprived and working their faces off but they're also calorie deprived and so each day is a really hard battle for them. They might do pretty good for two days or the three days. Then they fall off they go out with their buddies have a drink or whatever it might be and they kind of keep repeating the cycle and they really are working really really hard and i would say the majority of the time they're probably putting in you know seventy eighty percent of the time it probably pretty good here but pretty good isn't enough to kind of swing all those hormones moans in your favor to get you going and i've been trying to share with people as like. Let's figure out your sleep. Let's figure out your food. I have people eat more and they come back to me and i cannot even understand understand how this is working right because it doesn't make sense from what we hear with the calories in calories out debate you being a nutritionist kind. Of where do you stand stand. <hes> in terms of nutrition and you know what do you recommend. Oh man this is. This is huge man. <hes> i got into focus on asleep a necessity. I just didn't see anything in the market that made sense for people but man for me. Food was my bridge to change in my life you know and i think it's a really powerful onramp because could something we all do and we interact with you know multiple times a day consciously will unconsciously too sometimes but you know this is a very simple thing. Uh when i i went to a traditional university and i was taught by my overweight professor to have people expend more calories than they take in thermodynamics pyramid the whole thing like it was strong seven to eleven servings of whole grains. A day in man was following this advice. He was working hard he didn't they want to be in the state that i resent and for me. I didn't even know that food matter like that. I took the class.

"Your heart rate. Variability tracking your sleep did and say, okay. So if I sprint Monday Wednesday Friday than I do powerlifting bodybuilding style, some resistance training weaved in there. Then maybe I can do longer steady state stuff on the weekends. You know? And so figuring out what I like to tell. People to do. And I'm not, you know, world's personal trainer or anything like that. I'm not pretend to be that. But figure out what works for you and get you into a flow state. So if I tell Mark Bell, Mark Bell, the only way to be healthy is if you do yoga, you probably do it couple of weeks. And then you like, it's not my thing. So I think it's good for people to realize whatever gets them into that flow. Stay where the world's problems kind of fall off and disappear and you're in the zone. That's what really you should do an for some people. It's booty bar classes. Okay. Fine. Right. But you might need to supplement a little bit. What you know, if you want to have really chisel gluts, for example. Right. But so I think it's important for people to realize that there's many ways to do this. And do what you're gonna do long-term like whatever gets you up out of bed in like, I can't wait to go. Do this thing for for us. It's weightlifting for me. You know, I couldn't spin classes I'd be like do I have to another class. So with the mouth tape. Have you used it for exercise as well on what you know if so. So what benefits have you seen? That's a great question. You know, we're talking about this earlier. I think there is some benefits for that. Because it's like a stress test for these neurologic patterns that are holding your mouth so the mouth taping. Obviously answer's sleep quality dream recall and so on, but when you do it when you're training physically what you do supposedly. And I don't there's not a lot of good data on this. But it can increase nitric oxide signaling, which as we know can help vase dilate, our muscles and get more nutrients in more waste out of an exercising muscle. So I think there's some benefits there. And what I found is if I just do even twenty minutes of even walking around. It doesn't have to be powerlifting. If I'd just mouth tape for the rest of the day. I'm way more conscious and aware that my mouth is open or closed. And so it's it's you're really kind of rewiring those neurologic pathways. It's like learning how to do for the powerlifters learning how to bench powerlifting style versus bodybuilding arms flared or in. And so once you, you know, the slingshot really helped me with that. Because I had a hard time on like, I how you guys doing this in the slingshot. Really kind of helps. So I like in your mouth taping to kind of like a slingshot in that way. It's teaching real teaching how to breathe more effectively, and it's good at almost diagnosing problems. Because some people will say you've probably heard the kickback on your comments people say why try mounted me, but my nose is clogged. So I can't do it. And it's like, oh, so that's the end of the story. So that's it. You're just gonna go through life with a clog knows it's what it really helps. People become more aware. Like, you have a nose for a reason like you should figure out. What is the root cause behind? Why your nose is clogged? Is it food sensitivities? Do you have a deviated septum? Is it mold in your home? Like, we can't just look at that. And look it up on YouTube. You'll find within fifteen minutes, you'll find a couple of good videos on how to clear out your as well palliative. I mean, it's it's not it's not hardy, basically breathe through one side breath through the other guy's got a few different. What's the guy's name? Again. Do you Toko? There's a bunch of different people. Patrick is a patron make. Yeah. Make mccue. On the oxygen advantage. Go. Yeah. Yeah. He talks about a kind of clear him out clear out your nasal passages. "It even looks at your response rate quotient and count throughout the day heart rate body temperature looking at expanded bloodwork, I think everyone should be looking at their blood work, and you can order this now on the internet, which is great. You don't even need. I mean, obviously work with a healthcare practitioner, but a lot of people can go to any lab tests. Now get a comprehensive metabolic panel and look at their liver. Enzymes look at their hemoglobin. Alan see like look look at iron a lot of women. Have you know, I yeah. And they don't even know it. So they're tired, and they're fatigued, and they can't figure out why. So that's what I would say. Yeah. A lot of women have sometimes thyroid issues as well, which could be just not not necessarily even from a body fat composition standpoint. But even from just not feeling it just, you know tired, and then even you know for everybody in general, you know, getting your blood sugar tested and look into your a one c and some of these things could be really important because you know, you just don't really know what's going on inside. And you know, it's not even what we did the last few months or last few weeks. It's more about you know, what was your childhood like, you know, did you spend most of your childhood eating ice cream and cookies like Mark Bell or or have a different lifestyle. That's such a great point. And you know, one thing about the ketogenic diet again, I'm biased here. But I think it can be beneficial is for the first time people are tracking their blood sugar in their key tones, and so it gives them like, okay. If this happens, then this happens, and they start to make more educated and congruent decisions because well, I don't think it's good to share. Ace key tones they start to realize. Well, if I fast, then my Keaton's go up, so okay, we'll metabolic lead. That's dropping my glucose and just as a little backstory physiologically in order for key tones to be elevated, you need low glucose and low insulin and glucose gone is another factor. So when we exercise we do all that we drop glucose drop insulin in Chris glue gun that creates the metabolic or hormonal environment that causes your liver to make Keaton's. So that's another thing. Like, even if you're not going to cure jank diet or you don't care about keystones. Start testing your glucose in keystones anyway. And that was pretty interesting for me when I started powerlifting, and adding more carbs, I was like, wow, I.

"And that's the perfect time to bring in relief pitcher. That's the perfect time to bring somebody else in they kind of closed out the game. And it's one thing I'll say that's helped me a lot was, you know, don't try not to overreact and blow up. So if your kids are blown up your kids are crying or screaming and acting inappropriate, and they're really really young. It's really not gonna do anybody. Any good to go yelling and screaming and. And I I've I've done that. In my household where you know, I took a breath and said, a nice sadder buddy down we had conversations and my kids were really young at the time. And I said this house is not for that. That's not that's not what this is for. We got like a pool outside. We got an outdoor kitchen. We have a trampoline in the back. We got video games. This house is for fun. This house's for love, and we're gonna fight and different things are gonna happen because that's part of being a family. But let's just go our separate ways. When that happens. There's really no reason for us to be yelling and screaming, and I've given the kids the speech many many times over and it's worked out, really. Well, I'm not going to yell at you. I'm not gonna look I'm not gonna you know, look down upon you. And you're not gonna yell at me and disrespectful towards me. Let's all respect each other. And with all understand that. Yeah. Like there's gonna be some times where we get a little bit. Heated, and I think it would be really really hard. You know, there's probably some single parents. Listen this to it'd be really hard. If you're just a single parents Bill to try to manage all that. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my wife, I probably have to I already liked to go on a lot of walks by myself, but I'd probably have to double down or triple down on that. Because you have to figure out some way to almost a form of meditation to give you enough serenity to. To raise the kids the right way. But yeah, but loads of. "I think that show at teaching them all the principles that you believe in that have helped you in your life. So with you, I know that it's been said that you're a mechanic, you know, and it's like what a great thing to pass onto your children. I'm not a mechanic. I don't know how to fix a car fix a plane or fix really anything in our house for that matter. My wife does a lot of that. But what I'm gonna pass on onto my children are the things that have helped me the things that I already know about. So I'm gonna I'm gonna teach them both about lifting and I've shown. Them both all kinds of different things when it comes to exercise, and I've been talking to both of them since they were one I've been talking to both of them since they were very very young about nutrition. And when they're really young I used to kind of tell them flat out. Hey, don't eat that's gonna make you fat. Because at that age. They they have a decent understanding of what that means. I don't really know what hey that gonna cause heart disease diabetes like that's not really going to ring true to them when they're four or five years old, but to tell them stained from it because it's going to give them kinda on wanted results is is a good place to start and with my kids. Now, they're both older. They're my son as a teenager and my daughter's kinda getting there. I never say. I don't say that anymore say about being fat because I don't think there's a place for it. But I do teach them a lot about nutrition, and my daughter might have an apple juice at breakfast. And then when it comes to like inner time, you know, maybe. She's you know, my ask her hating dessert. She might say, Nah, I had you know, had juice earlier today. And so then we then we have a conversation about it like, okay? Well, that's okay. You had the juice in the morning and exercise they moved around a lot like us have it. You know, don't don't worry about it. If someone's birthday or whatever. But no one is really losing sleep over it either. It's not an area of contention. It's not causing anxiety for anyone or anything like that. But it's it's just something that's openly discussed my son loves to have coke every once in a while with his with his dinner, and he's allowed to have the coke. But it's I tell them you either pick the coke or you pick the desert you it's up to you make choice, but I don't want you have in both because these things can add up really quickly in our lives. "Right. And joining me now is a first-class father. He is a professional powerlifting champion and former professional wrestler. He is the inventor of device called the slingshot. He is a podcast their gym owner and so much more. It is a great privilege for me to say, Mark Bell. Welcome to first glance fatherhood yet that you so much. It's an honor to beyond the show. And I think it's really important for us men and women that are parents to share our message share our journey and sheriff story with others. You know, a lot of times on social media, all you kinda see is, you know, somebody with a new this or knew that. But there's not really that much talk about their family. I think a lot of times, it's unfortunate. But it just doesn't get the same amount of like sometimes. And so therefore it gets pushed to the side because it's not fancier. It's not maybe it's not the lifestyle that all the bachelors wanna live. Something like that. Well, said it seems as though that cheap thrill always gets all the attention on social media, and the really important stuff is often overlooked, hopefully, we can turn that around here and celebrate fatherhood and family life. So let's get started here. How many kids do you have? And how old already I got an eleven year old daughter named Quinn and a fifteen year old son named Jake awesome. One in one what type of sports activities into you know, they're they have a wide ally. Interest-based neither one of them really ever took much interest. In in sports. We had them, you know, as parents, my wife, and I we've we firmly believe that is important to try to make quote unquote force your kids to do some stuff. And we did just because we wanted them to have the experience of it. We think, you know, at a really young age like seven or eight or something like that. They maybe don't understand what's always in their best interest. And so therefore. We wanted to live sports as a form of exercise one utilize sports the form of teach him about team and come rotary and stuff that happens when you're when you're on a team and stuff like that. But neither one of them really sick to it. My son one day on the way to baseball. He was like I don't wanna play baseball anymore. And I was like, okay. I think it's like ten or eleven you're old enough to make their own decision. And the only baseball, you know, we can stop playing baseball. But let's finish out the season because you coach and your team is relying on his be there. And so we'll do it that way and we'll discontinue baseball. And so he did that daughters never had a huge interest in in sports either. She likes are and those kind of more her interest likes to read and my son now though has now gotten into weights, and he's been training here at super training gym with me out here in west Bak Ramento, and it's it's been amazing. It's it's hard not to get overly excited. When your child is excited about the same thing that you hear excited about some trying to try my best to play cool. But I don't know if I'm playing cooler or not, but it's a lot of fun having here in the gym have them working out. He's been talking about playing football possibly, so that's kind of cool. That's so cool. Mark, please take a minute here to hit my listeners a little bit about your background. And what you do. So I've been a long time power. I started tower thing when I was around twelve years old all growing up. I was kind of a heavier kid and also in school. I really I really struggled a lot in school. And so the only thing I really had was my weights. I I played football. And did a lot of their sports and did pretty well in those sports and things like that. But it was it was Har hard to hard like I guess gain gain traction anywhere else..

Germany's ahead of us how long they have to wait in Canada. Canada's ahead of us. Everybody's ahead of us in terms of life expectancy. Ours is like seventy nine point three and it's eighty. "And so I think it's really about balancing those things, but just as far as yes issue towards getting to your go, you know, more more alcohol or steady. I've on a daily basis, not part of the equation. It serious. Yeah, change, you composition. That's that's. That's the case. And it should be noted because the real truth is and you mentioned the the story of stand, you know, using a. Essentially a chamber pot, his version of a chamber pots at night, so he could remain sleeping. It's those type of what almost seem like extremely bizarre behaviors are what sort of delineate people who have very, very high levels of success from people who don't. So the discipline to essentially remove alcohol from your life for a period of time, right, not in perpetuity. But for a period of time is such a cofactor and a determinate in high high levels of success. I would say to just try things for a few days like don't make such a huge deal of it, but just see if you cut alcohol out for like five days, that's probably reasonable for somebody that wants to drink often and there hopefully they don't have an addiction to it, but they just enjoy it. Just just try about five days Monday through Friday, and if you of not drinking and if you don't go crazy on the weekend, but if you if you were able to do that, did you get better or was there not. Much change. Just take a look at that and be honest with yourself on on how that played out. If you lost a pound or two, and you made a lot more progress that way. Then you probably need to do that often from performance point. Just mess with my dad way. I've messed with it. And when I was Margarita season, I kind of started trying to do some cardio a little bit of high intensity cardio, no shit. You know, if you go, it's tough ranch Margaritas in their doubles, and you're having to three of those. And then all of a sudden the next day you try to get on your bike and do high intensity training, not so fast, my friend, so I've noticed just the week or whatever. I've been doing my program, the performances definitely better without getting hammered. Nobody contents. Well, one, we're thinking about the diet for you guys had here. I know you're extremely busy getting all your content, the compound down Malibu and it'd be people for the power cast and continue your training. Have you had any cravings? You hear so many people into these stages of extreme dieting and test dieting and training. You got any kind of cravings where you get like, hey, man, you want to raise the frigerator. Maybe it's butter fingers. You are right. I been good. The only thing is I want to overeat, you know, and any any like cracked open door, you know, makes me wanna just barge right through it. So even even something like crystal light or something that has some real flavor, we'll kind of like bring me back to like, oh yeah, there are all these delicious foods out there, and it gets me kind of excited towards you want to eat. One eats different things, but this diet has enough. Like you got to keep mind before I was in eating carbohydrates. And so now I got rice and I have my my one of my favorite foods in the world is a Japanese sweet potato. You never have one of those. You really miss those things are phenomenal. You know that to me those things kind of they got a nice sweet flavor to I have a sweet tooth, so I really am enjoying the carbohydrates on. I'm allowed to eat. But yeah, when this when this things over with, I'm sure there's going to be day where just go haywire and slaughter some food for thought about the the contest. Are you working on your posing routine yet? I have been been because your guy who throw off a double bias stabs, your you love muscle, but I'll, yes, you're putting a routine together. You'll be wondering pair of trunks yet. Basically, nothing there, so pretty much guy. So what kind of artistic flair are? Yeah, arsenal presentation is the inventor of the slingshot. "This is this div almost did she. I will sitting here rollers Sav it is Saturday in the morning. Ten till nine. You were supposed to be here in our go talking to Mark Bell. I wonder if super training gym, Sacramento, California, we'll be talking about bodybuilding pile and yes, you decided to enter bodybuilding contest and I don't wanna better turn off because, hey, we're gonna talk about bodybuilding and dieting I want I, it's a bigger picture of the net because it's going to be about commitment and discipline hundred percent going down and I'll sitting alongside of Daniel Rego. How'd you guys go? Because you work request nutrition here in LA, dude, how'd you guys Oko indeed, it's, it's, it's really by proximity. Mark's brother, Chris lives about two minutes away from me and Playa vista. I'm sorry about that and indeed. And so it was really through my relationship with him and seeing him at a goals gym with some frequency that I came into Mark sphere of influence. And it's been an interesting trajectory since then because we've had an opportunity now to Claverie and on a few things and not working stuff together right now working on. Product on a crate and product between myself. My wife, Daniel and my brother. So we're working on a product right now called mind bullet, and that's in the works, and it's. Three Pence to your name, all your bodybuilder, former federal wrestler, you're a coach, the power magazine, you have power cast podcast entrepreneur. So yeah, before we get into all that bullshit. You know, what is the project? Could you're speaking? Yes. So we're working on. I recognize the a room in the market. You know, sometimes you just recognize room in the market for a particular thing. I created a product a while back called Kito Perot which is still one of the only there's a few more now, but for sure it was the first protein fat combination of protein and fats sold in powder form and some not. You just see a hole in the market and I'm like, well, that could be that gap could be filled. And so that's what we're doing with the crate him as well. It's called mind bullet because I feel that create them has has a weird stigma about it. People aren't sure about it. People feel it. It's very dangerous and we're going to actually run tests and things like that to prove that it is safe and it can be effective in moderate doses. And it can also be something that is a stimulant in a way, a nice boost. It can take a little edge off. You know, the aches and pains that we have from training and to me it just it all coincides at all comes together. I noticed with the usage of creidim and a Kito genyk style diet. We're any form of dining, but mainly had have to say, you know, intesting out with Akita genyk diet, the most it felt like, and this is just my experience. But my brother has actually mentioned this as well. It felt like it actually helped me focus in on the diet a little bit more. I think maybe anybody who likes to have a few drinks, maybe able to test to this. The fact that that little release of like just getting away and just then just having buzz is really comfortable or somebody likes tuned tobacco or something like that. And so with crate him, you get you get taken into that place, but there's no calories that are associated with it. It also for me, it wasn't anything to where I was like getting so high in. So jacked up where I was like, I need brownies. So I really liked the product a lot and I want to introduce it to the world. I want to bring it into the fitness. Industry because no one's done that yet. Are you advocate for? Because a lot of pain with what you placements arthritis and the whole nine yards him a lot of heavy left. So no, he's a big believer in it. But when you say that could give you use but can also bring you down that boost. What are you say? Take the edge. I'll take the ad. Forget a boost, but take the edge off. Yeah, they run the same to me boast an edge. Yeah. So so so so yeah, they're, they're, they're actually very similar..

"Mel young man's about forty one forty, two years of age, no rollers exploits and success and his inventions and the powerlifting circle in powerlifting world. Well, Mark Mel decided enter bodybuilding contests. So we are talking about the benefits of a bodybuilding diet with carbohydrates versus Akita genyk diet with basically no carbohydrates along with Mark. Bell on the podcast is his good friend, Daniel or aga-, and Daniel is a wealth of information done some work for quest nutrition out here in Kelly, and he joins us in on the podcast and when we'll get to a tricky subject, Daniel kind of breaks information downforce, good, dude, and joint meet, no man. It's always a pleasure to talk to Mark Bell. We're going to talk about his training regimen. Everything that is going through, why? How when his contest is coming up on August twenty fifth, and Mark is. Very well-spoken as you always says. But in particular onus, episode with respect to if you're not a bodybuilding fan, what your takeaway can be from this podcast is consistency commitment and discipline, and you know, permi- conversations with Mark Bell and Daniel along with, you know, tuning things back up on a personal level, man, I'll tell you what my discipline is one hundred percent on right now. My workouts are extremely focused. I'm back in the gym now and I never really left it. Although I did take a little bit of a break. I call it Margarita season and I talked about this on Mark bells power, cast the podcast I did with him a few days ago which will drop in the future. And you know, as long as I've been lifting weights as low as I've been trying to be in shape, you know, there's times where, hey, man, I want to get a break from the way it should just kind of have if you Margaritas or some west gear, whatever. But I put all that aside focus is getting back and share. And here's one of the things that I kind of picked up from my weightlifting journey sometimes as I trained by myself pretty much ninety nine point nine percent of the time sometimes you you're putting the work in. And the problem is you're just putting the work and, but you're not using enough focus and intensity and I have been guilty of that. And so talk with Mark, Dow view, few other bodies and and kind of taking a look at the system. I was using it how was training and in my conversation with Mark on his power cast by training partner. And I used to just push each other to the brink and we were having outstanding workout. So I kinda, you know, just rekindled that focus on that intensity still training by myself. But man, it is a night and day difference about how I feel about how I'm starting to look. Like I said, man, I was putting the reps and put in a sets and, but without the intensity, what would that really push yourself? Self. What kind of change are you really going to make and your body composition? You know, because if you're going to go the gym and you're gonna, let White's for an hour. Are you just going to go through the motions, like I was. Are you going to just really push yourself to the brink like I'm doing now? So some people out there that have been in a game, ran the grind or in the trenches for a long, long time. Sometimes you lose your focus and all I'm going to the gym every day, but how hard are you really pushing yourself as my bottom line for you? So and I'm pushing myself to the edge every single time I go the gym now and not only am I feeling different just on a physical level from composition level. I'm starting to tone up a little bit drop low body, fat, just look a lot more tone. But from a mental standpoint, man, I feel like a completely different given bang, much more relaxed. I have more energy. I would say my mood is on a lot higher level just because of my. Training and pushing myself again and on my cardio. I do about twenty minutes of cardio every day, but it's it's a benchmark type cardio where I'm on an assault air bike, and my goal is to burn two hundred calories..
