"The Irish have not scored since they're opening drive of the game. Merci. It's tough getting ugly. They got us. They're gonna have to pick it up offensively and Looking and their defense. They've done exactly what I said they needed to put the body in books hands. I don't just thinking a book. Look, he's had actually plenty of time back there for most of the night. Be able to run around. I'm watching the all 22 coffee every time he's moving around, and there's just nobody opens. It's simply a matter of close and skill players being that much better than Notre Dame's today and there's a locking those guys down in the back end and they're winning those one on one matchups offensively touch back on the Potter kickoff. Notre Dame back to the field here with just 35 rushing yards for the game. By the way, Clemson had 34 in the first meeting between these two, the Notre Dame winning double overtime. So flip the script on that. Still a long way to go. I get that. But, Barry, I think you just hit the nail on the head there. Skill position players. And the efficiency that's gained Other ability to churn out double digit yardage plays almost every time they touch it in books in the shotgun, right, putting for the left. Come back to throw full lined up fires and neurotics got the catch. And then his hit kind of late going to the Clemson bench. There is hope Left town should be on Mario Goodrich after a gain of 16. It'll be bigger than that. Maybe even 31 shot after the play Personal file. Defense number 31 Unnecessary Rough is 15 Yard Penalty first down. Well, you wonder, Shawn. If.

"Like someone left the microphone on there, Shawn. But this is what Notre Dame didn't the last match up that really through clumps and off. They broke tendency in a little bit. They threw a bunch on first down their predominantly a run first team on first down, So look for them to continue that trend in this second match up from 46 of clubs and no store opening drive, bobbled Snap and down to get it is Ian book. It went to his left in low. It's a loss of five and they may have some issues on CQ exchanges. Today, Starting in center is Josh Luck. Normally the right guard. He makes his second start this season at center. They lost their first starting center Jared Patterson to a season any foot injury and then seek Carella is had Hi ankle sprain bothering him. So lucky is your starting center Tola Center of ever seen on paper 66 and seven eight's playing center. That's off the exact sort of team probably 49 of the Irish book, Girls right side and finds this man he's got it down the right sideline. Mario Goodrich makes the stop is the tight end. Excuse me to bomb McKinley makes the catch on the edge. Well, it looks like a tight end sometime. He's such a big target right there for Ian Book and he had an outstanding game in the first match. Five catches for 102 yards, and he's really the guy. Whose aversion the second half of the season to make this Notre Dame offense a lot more explosive. Is there, Take the top off guy, the biggest deep throat they have free in book 39, now for Notre Dame from the 45 Now Clemson Chocolate staff back to book book steps up, winds up throws caught first down over the middle of the freshman tight end again. Mayor's got it for a game of 15 yards. Tackle, thereby good rich with help from Charleston. Talked about situational football come into this game so far, but her name has an A plus two for two on third down Spooks is doing a nice job of Getting close in getting Notre Dame to these third medium to long as they just got executed. Find a way to get off the field. So far, it's been the tight end mayor on both of these third down situations. 10 32 to go in the first drive continues. Dalby Thompson 30 Yard Line two left one right from under center. This time book turns hands it off to Williams Broken tackle the backfield scoots left, and I was swallowed up, dropped for a loss of five yards. Read in there on the stop. That's one way to slow down the run game is you bring a corner blitz off the edge. Usually don't have the cornerback accounted for in the run game. That's a hard play to defend against. If you don't know it's coming in Green did a great job, disguising it. Keeping his eyes right in the receiver until the last possible second, he messed up that play in the backfield before we get started. He's a true freshman, Malcolm Green 50 to go in the corner trips right. Single receiver left now. 2nd 15 from the 35 shotgun quarterback draw book on the move to his left outside the numbers toward the sideline and escorted out there by Joseph Charleston. 70 yards on the carry, free and book Interesting play call up coming here for Notre Dame. That was a draw all the way right there, Free and book a nice job on the offensive line, picking up the blitz, sorting it out and book a very patient runner understands how to set his blocks up. That's a rare thing for a quarterback and Again. People just don't give you enough credit for how athletic is with the football. His hands Notre Dame two of two on the drive one third down the 10th play. The drive is third and eight now, though, from the 28 yard line trips, right single room left out of the shotgun book takes the snap. Williams stays in the block. We're gonna wrap him up on book is sacked in the backfield. That's James Kowski. He didn't play the first time these two teams met. We knew he'd be a factor. That's a loss of five on the drive will stall here with 4th 13 upcoming. All that also makes the field goal much more difficult. They're pushed Notre Dame back several yards and scalp, Ski said. There's been a lot of talk about how troubled Lawrence is coming back. Don't forget about me. He's the leader and the heartbeat of that defense and he showed why right there. So the brain Jonathan door on the kick His career long is 52 yards. This right here will be from 51 off the left hash. Bramblett, the punter, the whole staff back ball down kicks away. Looks like it's got the leg. Oh, it's pretty And it's good and the Irish were on the board. 1st 51 Yard Field goal for Jonathan Door brought you by Allstate get better protected with Allstate. You've never been In better hands. So ball control early here for the Irish. They would like to have had more, but they get three here as he had just enough leg to finish it off. 11 plays 46 yards. Time of possession. Barrett Jones, six minutes 44 seconds. All great first drive that time for Notre Dame obviously weren't able to finish it off like they wanted to have picked up where they left off. A very impressive showing by those guys up front, the trenches. We'll take a break. 8 16 to go in the first quarter. Notre Dame three. Clemson Nothing. You're listening to the A. "To make place. It was great and sixty yen. It's kind of funny. You mentioned scout ski. I mean that that was a big over oversight by me but now he's back. Mike jones was back. The scene was finally getting healthy. And then it's kind of funny 'cause you're missing. People in the secondary zander's was out daring on kendrick. Didn't play in. So there were several guys in the secondary who really stepped up. Mario goodrich played really. Well you two interceptions. He was named to the all. Acc defensive team this week as well for is a top performance. And so yeah. I think it just goes to show that once if you honestly the most important aspect in football is in the trenches so when our defensive line becomes dominant like they were against pitt. Last week watch out we could be missing some of our best playmakers in the back end and i think it's still dominate the granted. It was pittsburgh and Let's just overlook the fact that they were missing three starters on the offensive line. You didn't hear that from me. I'm sure that didn't contribute to any of this. But let's just take it for what it was five. Takeaways six sacks. That's what you wanna start seeing on a consistent basis. I think the best way to put that at least deep incident the offensive end that we could struggle with. The boys are back in town all right. Let's let's let's just end on that. So what's what's the next play that you have in mind. Let's move to the end where we had a little bit. I wasn't a breakout game. Pretty jay williams because honestly has northern route. i'll stephen. He has been much can contributor but he was a big contributor on their first scoring possession. Any add quite issued kachins. That are very impressive. One domino of the field where he discussed absolutely hammered like even just washing my ribs shirt after but he looks really strong you. You'll ended the game with three catches for thirty eight yards but honestly did exactly what we needed him to do. And thus stay more. Somebody's otherwise receivers. That we asked twirl stephen and all they can do is drop the ball. Yeah and that's been a huge struggle all season. I mean you're right. It was kind of funny. We were laughing about this before we both mentioned the williams had a great game and He he showed up. And it's funny because we looked at his stat line and only had three catches for thirty eight yards only four targets. And we're both like really because we thought he was a lot more involved but honestly that's a really great sign for clemson. I mean we've been hammering this all year that where the heck is joseph in ghana and frank lattes and who's going to step up what's going to happen and shaan sideline all three of them together. Having all the kept showing them over and over and honestly at this point they can just stay there. okay. I'm tired of this will work thing and i mean i'll i'll be the first one to eat crow here when i was saying that cornell. Listen if he's your second best receiver then that's not a championship level receiving core. I'll take you back cornell. I'm sorry bro. Because you've been balling out as well and so that each day williams catch was just the perfect. That's the condensing highlight of these wide. Receivers for this game amari. Rogers we don't talk about them all that much because we we take them for granted almost in a way because he's been so consistently good this season that we don't even have to talk about the fact that he had what like nine catches for just under one hundred yards. I mean and we think we can easily say that. He's been the most consistent player on this question today. Who's out there. He's he staying healthy. That's obviously being consistent. Unlike some other people he's i don't know what his worst game is but he's off he always has kachins yards and he's making the place for us. Everything game yeah. You can't go wrong with those little tunnel screens that they throw out to him. But yeah i mean amar. Rogers hasn't been great. But let's definitely focus on jay williams and pal and even he didn't catch but a joe. Joe got several targets in this game as well and so i. I'm wondering and you tell me if you if you think i'm right about this. Is i think the coaching staff has realized that look and gotta and lacks and just aren't going to be healthy and even if they are there only one more regular season game to go through. It's not like they have a ton of time to get ramped back up and really integrated into this offense. There's there's no more time for that at this point and so they just seem to work with what they have in cornell pal has proven himself to be good this year. This is third game in a row where he's had one hundred yards and Let's let's sit on this for a second. Because i know that you love this as much as i did his taunting in the fire that he showed. This game was hilarious and not just hilarious but awesome. It was just. It was really really fun to see this fifth year. Senior go out in just really does crap on the pittsburgh defenders like they're nothing and that's just something i hadn't seen from the truth all game. He was just taunting the defenders on every single play. It was great. See honestly we were talking before we were hoping that the rest of the team with can take after them just going out there and tawny like who cares anymore like just go out there and crush. Everyone and i think it all showed him about one. Play is handing seven yard catch and he got up any gays or like his face. Even like you're too small like his face like that was absolutely perfect. We you see more of that. That's that was such a funny tot two. I don't think i've ever seen that before from someone just like you. Literally pointed at him and then you know kind of his hand to fact. This constantine's was their best offer type c basketball time down the two small talk for basketball. Yeah i saw several people doing the russell westbrook rocking the baby to sleep on saturday to one from clemson. I don't think but yeah. I afford season as not yet. That's right. well maybe this is the maybe this is the start of some real taunting. Maybe maybe this clemson team is going to become the bad boys of the acc. I love to see that you have the daboh the ultimate nice guy seemingly nice guy of college football in the team becomes just these baller. I don't even know how to describe just taunt tres traffic become like maybe a little bit different. Obviously by the Mtv gators you have teams house garbage. Well let's hope. There are no murderers on this team. Moving on Well actually one more point on this and this is something that i kinda got fired up a little bit when i said this several episodes ago now but when i mentioned that this team needs to just forego the rotten okay. Let's just abandon the ron. And let's get if we're going to give the ball to et and let's make it on passing plays and it seems like maybe the clemson team has taken it to heart. Not because they heard it from obviously but because they've realized that they can't run the ball and they threw the ball fifty two times in this game. that's a lot in lawrence. Had a big game passing the ball and so really that takes us into our next. Our next point though of how of line has had struggles and i wouldn't say that they had a terrible game this game but it certainly wasn't a game where you saw them dominating and tested either. I'd say they didn't really didn't really need them actually as.

"To it. So I have three specific things I'm going to keep an eye on. All right. So the first key in my mind to this game is, how does the CLEMSON secondary handle Virginia's super duper duper tall receivers tight ends. I mean, they're like basketball players. It's crazy and if you've been listening at all to our daily updates, which I hope you had then then you would know that one of our main concerns has been the secondary in general end for multiple reasons obviously, they haven't been tested at all but two of Clinton's top defensive backs have been out for the first two weeks. Excuse me during on Kendrick has played a little bit but he hasn't been back to full speed yet. He Mario Goodrich, have both kind of been just gone haven't been a huge part of the defensive scheme. So this is really the perfect week to get the top two quarterbacks back because. It's it's going to be a real test. I think. So this is what Daniel had to say about Brandon Armstrong? The quarterback at Virginia he's a really good player. Looks like A. Young Steve Young running around out there lefty crafty creative extends plays tough runner. Really good size accurate thrower. Really. Has No fear puts the ball up listen this kid is Steve. Young. Like Davidge said, but he's not terrible either. So check this out the Tigers need to be prepared for lavelle Davis and this guy was talking about he six-foot-seven he's six foot seven. It's crazy Davis had four catches for one hundred and one yards and two touchdowns against. Duke. So one of those highlights just pick the ball right out of the sky over one of the defensive backs it was pretty crazy. This kid is tall and he's athletic. The giants don't stop there either because Virginia also has a six foot seven tight end who can make some place. Tony. Jan I believe is how you pronounce it. He had a few catches last game. You Laugh I, don't know this. Funny. At four catches for forty four yards against. Duke. So these are guys that could take take clemson vertical. They've got the size and the only thing that I'm concerned about while not the only thing but I'm concerned that the secondary hasn't been tested yet as we've mentioned. But if you look at the size of our cornerbacks, Clemson's tallest corner is six foot. Tall safety is six foot one. So there's GonNa be a height a real difference. They're giving up several inches. So they're really gonNA need lockdown these receivers maybe double cover make sure that they have room over the top just like that. So. You see that as a concern. You're making the face like you don't. I don't know just see interesting facts here that this a Adele Davis, Guy, six seven he's like one of their lightest weight receivers though and all the guys that are like six three on the roster way more than him. Yeah. He's like two hundred and five pounds, right? Yeah. Another guy. To twenty. He's pretty skinny. So he's a freshman so he'll be physical with him out. Yeah. We'll see I mean he's obviously got the skill and talent and. Be at Virginia. while. He was actually he's actually a South Carolina Kid I saw. So. Wait declines in. Miss on now we'll find. Comebacks. Where we come back Saturday as two hundred yards touched. We just jinxed Oh. Okay. So that's the first concern is these tall receivers against the untested clemson secondary key number two is an I'm gonNA. Ask You a question here but Clemson needs to get Travis T. N. going they need to get him on track or click. Let's play something. We have to use that clip much because. Travis Atn's name has not been called much. The season is kinda crazy. He's like the quiet a superstar in college football at this point. I mean, what was the last? Do you do you have any memory of a travis ETF play so far? This year? No because Trevor Lawrence steals all its touchdowns. I've forgotten about that. It's true. We'll keep an eye on that whenever they get inside the five yard line Lawrence keeps stealing ETF touchdowns by the way that last clip was Jimbo Fisher I don't think I explained that right before they housed him last. Yeah. Last season he didn't know how to pronounce his name and they got crushed. Yeah I mean we we keep hearing a lot more about lawrence the you know the defensive Lineman, the freshmen who are coming out a strong in even the wide receivers, Joan. Gada Frank. Glad and there's been a lot more written on those players and maybe it's sort of note everyone trusts et and that he's just going to be the solid rock on this roster but. He's only got one, hundred, seventy only he's got one hundred seventy yards so far this season two games not bad. Only one touchdown. Yeah, but his playing time is probably equal up to one game. This is true. Play the second half of both games. It's true but I mean we're talking about Trevor Lawrence who's played the same amount as well. He has the ball in his hands every play. So I guess what I'm saying is the HEISMAN candidates coming into the season, Charter Lawrence and And so far you've really only heard about trevor. So I think it's really important for Clinton to get travis going at this point because I mean. They need that they need the balance in this offense I think trevor is really on track to have an amazing season. I think the offense, the passing game really seems to be in sync right now but. You know besides Lsu last year who just threw the ball over everybody you really need a balanced offense in you need that second dimension from et end to take this team to the next level. Yeah I mean that's why by establishing the run game like they have like the run game hasn't been terrible so far. But by establishing the run game now than obviously that's opened up even more for trevor. Throw it in I. mean that's so impressive. Already, he's just making better decisions because the run game has opened it up for them. So yeah, exactly. He's taking with the defense gives them. So I really I I mean one of the aspects for me is that ECN came back this season he didn't have to come back I mean he was going to be a pretty high draft to begin with. So since he's here, let's use them. As. Well, and even in this is something I've been thinking about what I mean. They just need to use more out of the backfield give him some screens. You know lineup out just get the ball in his hands. He's a playmaker, his longest place so far this year is only twenty nine yards which not bad but we've seen the explosion from him and they really need that in their offense. In, it'll be interesting this week because. It's it's tough to know what Virginia is really like at this point they've only played one game. There's not a whole lot of film on them, but they were playing do class week. So that makes it even more tough, more difficult to evaluate but only about fifty six rushing yards to duke last week. So maybe their defense is really stout against the Ron and this, let's just say this is going to be the best test. For the offensive line to see if they can open up holes for et ads, the be I mean Virginia. Was In the ACC championship I mean take that for what it's worth. Actually you tell me what they are you. Sure. Yeah. So. It'll be interesting to see how much that actually affects them to if I honestly don't even know how many players are returning for for Virginia from last year. So they might have a little chip on their shoulders to get revenge. So yeah. Actually there's a lot of players back there actually like in the top fifteen teams in the country as far as returning production this game right here obviously could be the I trap game for Clemson of the season where. They, don't come out prepared. Virginia obviously wants some revenge and they're coming for them. I. Mean They just be prepared. Yep Speaking of Trap Games keep sticking around 'cause I. I don't think I even told them Anthony this episode. Of course, we're GONNA, play Clemson and clamps out, and we got a question about that coming up here. So stick with us. All right. So we want to see the run game improve. And then finally another key is and we've been talking about this a lot everyone's been talking about this lot the Tigers defensive. Needs continued to dominate like they have so far. This season David Pollack Espn guy he named Brian Breezy and Mild Murphy, the two freshman upfront as freaks of the week heaped praise on the freshman do which is great. I mean they've been. Started off. Really great this this season..

"And your host for today's Clemson Football Update for Tuesday September twenty ninth number one what exactly has Brent Venables learn about his defense so far this season that he didn't know during the preseason his answer probably the most important thing is that we've improved front even though we've lost some guys I've seen a number of players who have noticeably improved and gotten better. We've already talked numerous times about how impressive Freshman Brain Breezy And Miles Murphy have been so far. This season as a team clemson is averaging five sacks per game, which is good enough for sixth most sacks per game in the country the Unit on defense that has yet to be tested though is the secondary, which is probably a good thing considering that both of the Tigers starting corners have either been injured or in Davos doghouse we heard this before the citadel game, but Mario Goodrich is revving up to go the Saturday after struggling with injuries so. Far This season additionally during Kendrick who Davos said is facing disciplinary issues should be fully available against Virginia, this weekend interestingly, coach Venables said that decay wasn't in my Doghouse I love to know what's going on there if he's in coach Sweeney's dark house but not in Venables Doghouse, Brent also mentioned that he doesn't know what the defense is. Identity is yet I've got an identity for you. Coach is not catchy but how about you just shut out all your opponents for the rest of the Season Okay number. Do we typically go with sixteen years on explosive passes in twelve yards on explosive runs? That's how often coordinator Tony Elliott in the coaching staff measure offensive plays on offense. Now granted, he also said that the plan to win is that they always want to be more explosive than our opponent. Yeah. Thanks Elliott did provide some helpful insight though when he said that their goal for each game is to have four or more explosive running plays in five or more explosive passing plays. We'll see if the Tigers can reach that goal, this Saturday versus Virginia Milberg three, and finally we don't WanNa go a whole episode without mentioning our guy. Trevor. Lawrence pro football focus provided a detailed breakdown of Trevor's pass so far this season and they are as follows driver is eight of nine to the right hash in six of eight to the left Hash now here's. Where the most interesting stats are trevor is sixteen of Nineteen to the middle of the field three or five while under pressure in five of seven. When he's blitzed coach, Elliott said that trevor has been taking with the defense gives him which is why the middle of the field has been a point of emphasis. So far coach Elliott said that trevor has been taking with the. Defense gives him which is why the middle of the field has been such a point of emphasis as force and the citadel tried to take away the run game between the Hashes opened up for the tight ends and wide receivers. Of course, with respect to those opponents Virginia is the first quality opponent this offense will play. So we'll see of trevor can keep this pace. Up He's going to need to if you want to keep heisman pace with the likes of K. J. Castello who in case, you didn't know already through for more passing yards and touchdowns in one game against the defending champions lsu insurers thrown in two games I. Don't know if you watch that game heckuva performance. Thanks for joining me today until tomorrow's episode be good out there..

"Everybody? It's Briley here and it's time for your Clemson? Football. Daily. News update for Wednesday. September. Sixteenth let's get this thing started. Number one Dabo Sweeney provided insight into the status of several injured starters serving his game week press conference. Probably the most important update is at the Tigers will have their ACC. cornerback dairy on Kendrick back in action this Saturday thankfully. And even more help in the secondary is on the way with fellow CB Sartor Mario Goodrich set to make his first appearance of the season as well. Now, this is obviously important Thankfully, we'll get these guys back and hopefully they'll be able to get sharp in time before the real meat of the season comes along especially considering that the secondary and specifically the corners have consistently been clemson's weakest link on the defense number two. Okay. This is a little sad and it's very brain for twenty twenty. Death Valley is going to look very different this year, and we know that for sure because Clemson revealed what the Game Day experience going to look like masks in social distancing will be required. Fans will begin given a sign thirty minute windows where they can enter the stadium. But fans will need to worry about getting into their seats on time considering that only nineteen thousand fans will be allowed into death valley this year. And another unfortunate feature of two thousand twenty is that tailgate is strongly discouraged with tents and trailers not being allowed number three. and. Finally, several clemson players made pro football focus is list of top five players every position for week two. You'll notice that every player is from the offensive side of the ball. Those players include Trevor Lawrence Brendan Galloway. Tackles Jordan McFadden in Jackson Carmen and center kate, Stewart L.. It'll be interesting to see if any superstars broke out on the defense this season because we'd like to get some of them on on these lists as well. Whoever succeeds this year will be embracing the suck as said on Tuesday? That's a quote that's a good data and. He also said that. That is kind of where we are right now. Sometimes, you have to do things that you don't like to do on quote. Now it's time for you and embrace the suck because this episode is ending. Pretty smooth finish on trevor. All right we'll talk to you tomorrow be good out there..

"Way, want to continue to build and I feel like we've gotten better from Game one against Portland Game team versus Houston. Continue that whoever we play between the Clippers order Nuggets, we give our civil good chance chance to advance. My Lakers had 19 threes in all but their toughest road ahead, according to Tim Legler, who was on SportsCenter with VP. They haven't really faced an exceptional defensive team yet and he didn't get it in the first round against Portland. They didn't get it in this round. Either. This is a team. The variable is there for three point shooting. So the question is going to be when you actually place play against a team That's got length. That's got speed. That's got commitment. Defensively, That's got a lot of want to. On that end. Our team's going to make the Lakers continue to take. These shots are going to make him when guys are, you know, 23 ft. Closer to them with a hand up. They didn't get a whole lot of that in this. Siri's and guys got extremely comfortable now, you asked. Is there going to be carried over for some of these shooters? I think, guys, we're in rhythm there. Probably But that's going to go out the window. When you play a team that's on a string and that can get there quicker and they're longer and they're faster. That is still the Achilles heel for me for the Lakers, and that's where you have to make them beat you, and I think they're going to get a lot more resistance. Obviously, whoever they get the next round and that a straight talk wireless no contract, no compromise. James Harden 30 in defeat. Rockets finished the post season with a five in seven record. "The Mid Atlantic Inc. Thiss is extra sports 1300 paper, our area Jason or wits. Very happy to have you with us in our Westwood one studios. Our first college football game of the season. We're happy to bring it to you. Preseason number one Clemson on the road at Wake Force in his landscape of ever changing conditions regarding teams and conferences, playing games getting postponed. The reality is those who are playing and are expected to reach the college football playoff. They're not that different. The Tigers five straight years reaching the play off and if this season is able to make it that, for they are picked almost across the board to get there again. But to get here the starting line Well, that was a different story. I got the chance to catch up with the headman of the Tigers, Davos, Sweeney. And as simply did this feel like a normal game week. It does feel like a normal game. We, you know, I mean, Because this has been our normal for a while. You know if we just started dealing with things A week or two ago. You know, it would probably be different. But you know, this is beginning with this this craziness for a while, So it just kind of become normal force and You know, Once we got back out on the field, and it became football again, man, they brought a lot of normalcy to To everything yet exciting man. Every every Every year in opening week is special, but And this one is, you know specials, everyone I've ever been a part of and can't wait to see him play. Get back to doing something that they love to do and see where we are. What we've got to do to go improved from there. There were so many times, people weren't sure we would get to this point. There are conferences that have decided not to play for safety reasons at this point, and then along the way, there have not only been conversations about Cove in 19 double but also trying to rectify a quality in this country. And your team was part of a march back in early June. Trevor Laurence, among others, have taken a large vocal role and supporting players around the country. Does it feel like the team has even more continuity in some way during this unique start to a season? Well, I think that for us, you know, um you know, our culture here has been established for a long time. It's what drives everything in the program. And the kids, but the chemistry and the leadership changes every year. But the culture states say And obviously this is was incredible challenge with being isolated away from each other for a long time. But when we were able to get back together, it's been pretty cool for me to see these guys. And there's no question they have great chemistry, great leadership. Ah, it led to a very candid and deep and roll conversations and allowed our guys To just get to know each other on a whole nother level because of some of the things that they were faced with that were that were you know, bringing about these conversations and that maybe they had had or never had before, and So I don't have any question that leads to you know, excellent chemistry. And you know, nobody had to be here. I told our guys back in June. Nobody had to be here. Nobody had to play same thing on the staff. Everybody's here and you know this is what we love to do on. So we're all excited to finally be at this point, just really proud of our guys in all of our staff and everybody in the organization. Because it has been an enormous challenge on every level. Um, you know, to get to this point. You talked about leadership a little bit ago. And if he wasn't already Trevor Laurence has become the face And for that matter of the voice of college football for a variety of reasons. Has he shown a different leadership Then you knew you had in your 20 year old starting quarterback. No, he's the same person has always been to be honest with you From the time I first met him very humble, very confident. Very poised. Um and ah, but he's just He's just grown so much You know, with all of his experience, you come to Constanta. This is a huge platform and play them back to back national championship games. You win 29 games in a row. You win a national championship. You lose one, and you know there's a lot that comes with that. So He's not any different is just he's just so muchmore experienced now and kind of been there. Done that. And really, just, um you know, when he came in here he was a natural leader. He's trying to earn the respect of his teammates and get to know everybody. His second year he became the leader of the offense, True leader and this year he's leader of the team, and he's now a leader in the community and so forth. And I think that's just been a natural progression for him. Cattle. Thank you very much for the time. Good luck tonight. Okay. Have fun. Trevor Laurence will even expected stacked offense. No doubt about that defense that way, too, though tonight without some starters, cornerbacks Terrian Kendrick, Mario Goodrich as well as defensive and Justin Foster. No word given as to why they among others, not on the teams travel roster on the other side. You gotta wake Forest team that today hosted college Game Day for the first time ever, but You know, is Derek directly and Brandon gone. Describe not the atmosphere that anyone is used to. Nor were they expecting to open the season against number one, But here they are. And Dave Clawson while he's been a good head coach for a long time. So how is he approaching tonight? You'll find out next. You're listening to a football on the last word.

"The jim harbaugh era going forward with this class i think with all they had going on with their staff they reshuffled some things things didn't go the way they would have liked for them to have gone during the fall so they lost a little momentum in st may be heading into the signing period it was kind of perfect storm for things maybe just not to fall right this time i think it's premature to say all will now this snowballs rolling downhill and this is going to be a continued trend i don't think that's fair nor do i find it to be accurate there are plenty of good players in this class that have been added what is already a young and talented roster so let's let the same play out just as we talked about with alabama skies not falling in ann arbor let's see what happens over the course of time yeah i agree i don't think michigan fans are going to panic too much because harbas going to be you know quite confident about what he has and again as i said quarterback you get that saw the shape patterson if he wins his appeal instant plug and play starter right there you know sort along the same lines down in baton rouge me we don't har balkan recruiting no eddoes you're on can recruit but lsu they didn't finish the way that they hope to yesterday lose are the tigers being hurt by a lack of ofensive punch in really consistency in this new track meet world of college football i never want to say i feel bad for anybody in recruiting what i kind of foot bad for as you yesterday because they were about one of the few schools that went into the day that we're targetting essentially three players for talks and they only ended one of them in that was dru march chase they miss out on cv on corner off mario goodrich miss out on the quarterback games fausia that goes to texas am and then the big fish a lot of people felt they led for patrick tan he signed with alabama.
