"Not to speak to him so I come. I'm in my gown. My boyfriend's in, I'm in the great hall. My boyfriend's in my dates in the bathroom. And ascending the staircase with his wife and I'm like, oh my God, there he is. There he is. And he's just sending and every secret pictures and it's a big deal and everything. And he gets down into the four year and she's like, oh, honey, hold on, I have to get something, and she, I forgot what she did, she went, she left to go to the kitchen and get something or whatever, so he's standing with security and I'm standing there and he's looking at me and I'm looking at him and I'm like, oh God, I can't talk to him. And then he starts to she goes to the outside, you know, with a tented area where the party is. And so he goes to follow her and I grab his arm and I said, mister hefner, because I was like, I can't let him go out and might not ever see him again. I said, hi, I just want to introduce myself and he goes, oh, hi, and I said, my name's Victoria fuller, and he goes, oh, darling. I know you are. And I just went. I don't even remember what happened after that. He walked away and I was like, my ears are ringing. I was so excited that it had come full circle for me. I know, finally, your dream came true again. Yeah, so I felt really validated. I felt super validated and I felt like I really felt like I had a handle on my life at the time. So how did you get to know him if you're not allowed to talk to him, but then you said he eventually ends up giving you the trademarks to do your art. Divorce. He divorced Kimberly? Yeah, the divorce happened within the next two years. It's kind of started that night. They weren't too happy. And then the next year, because it was all gowns, it was no lingerie. There was no parties of any kind anymore. Mind you. There's no big parties. Those had all been gone, except for New Zealand where everybody wore black tie. Gotcha. You know, everybody was very sophisticated. So the following year they decided, we're going to do another black tie, but then just before new year's, or the following year, he decided he was going to do a Halloween party. And it backed up sunset. It was a big deal. And because Kimberly had left. She had moved into the house next door that the mansion next door. And so he moved her in there and once he moved her in there, he still didn't divorce or didn't divorce her until the kids were all both 18 and older. So we didn't have to do a child support and all that. He just kept care of everything. It's the paperwork. I guess. So he took care of everything, but their marriage was ended. And he started having all the girlfriends by 98. So that was, I was 96 by 98, everything was back on and business as usual. And I remember the night that she left, it was new year's 1990 6. Going in. 7. It was 1948, whatever. It was going to be 98 and she left. Everybody saw her storm off and he had these big glasses which he didn't wear anymore, but he was wearing them then and he was sitting in the chair and he was like sitting by the bar outside where the whole party was and everybody's looking at him because we're not allowed to talk to him and I had seen her leave and I told my date who was going to be my future husband. I said half sitting there alone and I'm going to go sit with him. So you're going to have to wait. And he goes, no, no, go ahead, I totally understand. So I went over to half and I said, I can't imagine you'd want to sit here by yourself. And he said, no, you want to sit in my lap and I said, yes, I do. And I sat in his lap in the second I sat in his lap, like four other playmates, all blondes, Heather cosar. I can't remember all the girls, but anyways, they all started to come around. And whatever. And then he got all giddy, started giggling and laughing. And then that was it. He had a girlfriend the next morning. He was back. He was back. It's interesting because I'm sure that there was, I mean, you know, it's like working for some of those iconic people, like working for Vince McMahon or Lorne Michaels or whatever. I mean, there's a certain intimidation factor with those types of guys and people like that. So what was he really like? I mean, when you got to know him, tell us a little bit about the man because he did create this entire empire that's known for beautiful women, so he's obviously very comfortable around beautiful girls, but also very empowering to it seems. He is and he is the ultimate boss for one you never talked to him directly about anything unless he initiates. We all know that, right? So we mostly talk through Mario Connor, who passed away, just before. It's like his assistant or something. O'Connor was his assistant for over 50 years. She was. Oh, wow. I was very near and dear to her. I spent probably 5 days a week with her. I lived practically next door we became, she was probably the best friend I ever had. I mean, she was, we were very, very close. Oh, wow. Yes. Would she passed away? She left me quite a bit. That's how close we were. She was an amazing woman. Wow. But he was very sweet and he was very charming and he was very witty, like he had a wit about him that he always had a quick answer. He was always funny and clever like super clever with his responses, always a funny kind of a sexual. That's the one thing about being at the Playboy mansion is you could kind of say stuff and nobody was like, oh my God, I'm offended. It's sex in the workplace. It's like shut up, you know? It's kind of what you're signed up for, yeah. No, and it's just like everybody, it was a very serious atmosphere because it was work, but it was also a very easy atmosphere because, you know, we could just talk. And communicate and it wasn't like so formal.

Tampa police chief resigns after dodging traffic ticket

"The chief of police in Tampa Florida has resigned her position. Accused of abusing her authority after a traffic stop in a golf cart last month. According to the conversation on a pinellas county deputy's body cam video. On November 12 he pulls over Kevin O'Connor, who's the husband of the temple police chief. We went to the club. It was closed, so we went over and picked up some. Is your camera on? Who knows? I left the police chief in Tampa. Mario Connor asks the deputy. Hoping that you just let us go tonight. Oh, okay. Say thank each other for their police service and the O'Connor's drive off. But the Tampa police department launched an internal affairs review and determined that Mario O'Connor violated department policy using her position to avoid a ticket. The mayor who used to serve as the city's police chief said O'Connor failed to abide by ethical standards and failed to lead by example. The assistant chief will serve in her place until a new chief is selected. I'm Jackie Quinn

"Fort Worth. All right, let's get them to business. I want to do the Jerry Jones thing with you at some point, but before we do that, that's a local Dallas story, but I got a little campus story making. Well, it's a national story. When LeBron asks why nobody's talking to him about Jerry Jones, it becomes a global story. I know, I know, and I want to do that. I want to tackle that, but there's also a really intriguing story about the police chief of Tampa. What? Have you heard about the police chief? Mario Connor is in some hot water. She and her husband were out on a golf cart the other day. Yeah. About a week or so ago, maybe a lot. Maybe it was longer than that. I'm going to get all the details from our newsman. Roger P shulman, but she's out driving around on a golf cart that should have had a license tag on it. I don't know how it works in Texas. You're not able to drive golf carts just on the road. Yep, you know? In Florida, where I live in Tampa Bay and saint Pete, I see a lot of really cool looking golf carts and they got the red hazard thing on the back. They've got a license plate. They've got and it's like a vehicle. And you've got to register $1000 golf cart. Absolutely. No kidding. And you can't show she's out driving around with her husband illegally. Yeah. Now, listen to the exchange, we got the receipts as the kids say because the body cam was rolling and it has been released by the analysis. We have body cam of this. All they seem to have had them all, but we have body cam for this. Right. Somehow this guy, but it does not go well for Tampa police chief Mario Connor. Check this out. So I'll stop because you driving on retro vehicle with no tag on it on the roadway. Yeah, we went to the club. It was closed so we went over and picked up some is your camera on. It is. Police chief in Tampa. Oh, how you doing? I'm doing good. Okay. I'm hoping that you're just let us go to. Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm sorry. Now you look familiar yourself. Yeah, I'm sure I do. Okay. So all right folks, well, have a good night. Stay over here and just like women. We live in these cycles. Oh, okay. All right. What's nice to meet you? So I'm definitely scoby. Same year, my son. All right. Take care of yourself. All right, thank you. All right, no worries, Norris looks like we have a lot of problem with the golf cart around here. We don't normally come out. We never almost close. Awake, get ready. Get ready to get some food. Okay. All right, then we'll take care. Oh no, Eric clipped it. Doggone it. He clipped it at the end. She hands him, I'll play it on the show full version. I want to hear the whole version. She hands him a business card. And says, if you ever need anything, you let me know. And he goes, well, thank you, ma'am. I sure will. And then she says, serious. I'm serious. In other words, now Mark Davis. Wisdom, Solomon, my wise friend. Look at the time. Let's go to a break. No. What should she should she lose her job? Okay. Leaning on him to give her a break because of who she is, that's never a good look. I'd like to think that 99 out of a hundred people violating the golf cart rule probably get a warning and get let go. So it's a lot of tickets. But that's she loser job, no. I think she's probably pretty embarrassed. You know what, Brent? You know what makes me crazy though, and I've always cringed when somebody does one of those do you know who I am? They know who I am, yeah. And then she said, he says, I thought I recognized you. I'm sure you did. I'm so famous. I'm the Tampa police chief. I don't know that she should get fired, but it is interesting about double standards and how somebody and what's fascinating to me is she knew the body cam was rolling. She said, she's the one who says, I don't know if you can pick it up. She says, is your camera on? That's right. So she's like, okay. Changes the situation. Well, no, he said yes, and then she said, well, I'm the Tampa police chief. If I if he says this to me, I'm going to say I'm the janitor over here at the dewdrop in. Now I did this. You know, I've never have you ever done it, do you know? And I know you have. I know you. What? With a ticket or anything, have you ever gotten out of a ticket? One time, I've done this. I didn't do it. I would never in a million years old. I'm a big mouth on the radio, do you know what I mean? I was going in Dallas. I was on the stem and freeway to meet a donor for Gallagher's heroes the fallen officer fund. And I was going to get a check for $20,000 to help did you throw down military honors? Here's what I did. The cop pulls me over. I'm late. And I was running away from the appointment, and I was beaten. And I did. I was, I thought, okay, he got me. But I thought, I'm not going to say a word. You're not getting my driver's license. He goes, he says, where were you going? Good, good, good, good, good, good. Well, Mark, I can't lie to a police officer. I said, I'm going to tell him. I'm going to, I'm going to go pick up a check for $20,000 to assist the families of fallen police officers for the Mike Gallagher show fallen officer fund..

"To find the store shelves are empty, no backpacks, no notebooks, no index cards. What's missing in many school districts across the country, though, is much more crucial. There are not enough teachers. Some schools are offering big money just to staff their classrooms. Grant gerlach of Iowa public radio has the story of what one district is willing to pay to keep their educators from calling it quits. A football scrimmage for Roosevelt high school in Des Moines is a welcome back for Friday night lights, complete with cheerleaders and the rough riders marching band. Students are ready to get back to school too, with new schedules and new teachers. As I am with you, I'm gonna be a senior. I go to Roosevelt high school. One of my favorite teachers, miss graber, shout out to her. I'm excited to do AP government with her. K12 schools large and small have been racing to find enough people to teach government and Spanish and physics and special education, Des Moines is no different, more than 300 teachers resigned or retired last year. That's at least 80 more than the year before. Matt Smith is the district superintendent, missing a teacher is tough, right? Any teacher is tough. So when administrators saw what was coming, they worked out a new deal with the teachers union. It's a $50,000 retirement bonus for longtime educators if they stay one more year. Money, the district usually sets aside for early retirement. 50,000 is a lot more than some teachers annual salary. 58 have taken the money, Smith says it's worth the cost to avoid an even worse staffing problem. Those are nearly 60 positions that were not Viking into one public schools for us also trying to fill. So that's another year of instruction that students are going to benefit from from NASA individuals that have got just a wealth of experience and they're so successful with kids. One of those teachers taking the 50,000 is Mario Connor and her husband David. We met outside the middle school where she teaches PE, and he teaches social studies. We actually came up with the idea of what if they paid us to stay. Mary says they were ready to retire last year, but staying helps them afford health coverage until they qualify for Medicare. I think the important thing for us was the chance to have some buy in on the insurance that we have, which we love before we turn 65. Paying teachers to not retire is unique, but retention and hiring bonuses upwards of 2000 or $5000 are common across the U.S., or even more. A high school near Charlotte, North Carolina, is offering a $10,000 sign on bonus, looking for someone to teach math. Paul Bruno, a Professor of education policy at the University of Illinois, says schools should target incentives at the jobs that are hardest to fill. Whether that's math teachers or hourly workers like bus drivers. Given that the unemployment rate is so low and the labor market is so tight, if you want workers in these positions, you're going to need to be competing more aggressively. And that means compensating them more. As it stands in Des Moines, 97% of the teaching jobs are filled, thanks in part to that $50,000 deal to put off retirement. Thing is social studies teacher David O'Connor says that's about the same as the district paid just a couple of years ago for teachers to retire early. At the moment, that's all been flipped around because of the shortage. Right now, at least it's a one year offend. It helps for the short term, but there's still a long-term issue still there. In fact, dozens of jobs remain open in Des Moines. That means the current teachers will be filling gaps, and the toll that takes could shape what the teacher shortage looks like next summer.
