"Who i mean. There can only be so much music in the world. You know like you know. I think it's fine to be inspired by other people in other songs and like sort of create your own tributes to those kinds of things that i've literally give them credit. I don't know. I mean. I guess it's good for artists to be crediting other artists when need be and it's something that obviously i don't know very much about but i don't know i. It seems like overkill to be honest with you. Yeah we'll call my mom after this. See what she thinks findings. Okay last question. Should we do it do this. Okay you guys. I don't know if you've thought about recently but do we need christy carlson romano to make a comeback. Maybe you might remember her as the older sister. Reading even steven. She's kim possible. She's also connect kelly perhaps for most role but yeah disney channel kind of older sister vibe for the heyday that we all watched it anyway. She's making the new she has. She has a youtube account has instagram. She's like trying to make it work. She's a business woman but she's making the rounds this week because she's talking about child buff and she uploaded a video titled why. I don't talk to shiloh. Above which is like click beatty but and like exciting is actual bonafide like maybe ayla star so of course you know things are going to outlets are going to be curious about what she's saying shortly she kinda just talks about their beef and how quote salty she was his success. She said we always had a little bit of animosity. I always wanted him to really appreciate what i gave to him. Which i'm like. What did you did you do to on what on saba cast get. Maybe the dynamic that she saw him out there like little sister older sister little brother dynamic not but he was clearly the star on that show. I'm sorry and she goes on to talk about that right like i guess he wants them award. He was on the podium and issue sitting there at the whole team and he thanked everybody at the table but not her some beef for her back. I don't really know yes. She says she feels jilted by the situation. He's making this big old splash. Hollywood and here. I am anyways talks about. She went to college. She chose this path. But yeah i mean i think she has been working this whole time. I checked her page. But do you guys think we need christy. Carlson romano to come back. Could she like the mom. Now of the even stevens remake. You know how they do that with that. So raven and stuff. Sure why not. I mean you know shala fucking socks in his career should be over so like that's fine. You can just be done. We can swap her in margaret. Qualley day her instead all will be well. I mean right okay. Sure you know we discover things. I don't know i have no real interest in her as an actress but like i have less interest in chhaya so we're going to pick what sure. Yeah amelia does. She elicit a strong reaction out of you or you like i always kind of thought she reminded me of like the tb version. This is i don't mean does sound rude. When i say this the tv version like a less polished version of anne hathaway kind of and i'm gonna anne hathaway's fulfilling 'cause she's like disney you know they're both beautiful brunettes and it was like you know and i think it's the better actress and i'm fine with her doing her thing and krissy carlson like i don't feel too bad because i'm sure you're getting residuals and you again. You chose have kids. Yeah exactly so happy for you but like don't complain right. Also gonna talk about china buff. Of course people are going to watch that and take that and thank you So the answer is perhaps not surrounded up there guys so much listening and getting through that cringe mode with us and kaya are pretty serious. I'm and meyer..

"People dot com. Boris co dot com to get information. People are willing to do it for beyond say though like she stands out in the pack as like the person people are willing to like go. The extra mile for rightly beyond say loves her birthday like be day the album we all know when beyond his birthday is september fifth. We all know beyond as birthday I feel like beyond his is like a number fourth. Because it's because my favorite number is four yet september fourth. You was also probably a virgo like mussolini like. I don't know what his birthday is like. They're bad ones she's like i will not be talking about miscellany. I will be wishing. Do alita and loretta devine a happy birthday today. And i will use like a really adorable photo of duleep that i've never seen before for that as a child and then like like we will not be mentioning tech. He is a virgo. But we don't like what the hell is this high. You recreate longtime long time So i'm hearing that jack. Antonoff and margaret qualley are now dating I think maybe jack antonoff is of them. margaret qualley. I think still who nepotism them obviously But you please discuss. Because i am shocked and surprised. Thanks crunch crunch dating. We got some. Do not play this calls about this a while ago. Remember that when it was like just wasn't even do not play this. It was like i just saw jack. Antonoff margaret qualley making out on the brooklyn pier or something like that. Well that's literally what this is like. We don't even know. If i mean we're gonna assume they're dating they're like making out in hanging out together so like oh. They're on a date. But this just these photos showed up before any information it was just like. Oh look at these photos of them like smooching new york. You know which i do feel like is margaret qualities calling card equalities. Good photos taken of her. She's chaotic and she'll just she'll just show up like smooching someone you'll be like. Oh i guess marquee qualities dating whoever you know. She has done one of the better jobs at lake parlaying. Her mother's fame like nepotism into. I don't know something. That is really intriguing to people. And i think it really helps that people forget the it girl but her name is so weird name is i think most people don't know that she's andy mcdowell's daughter which helps you know but it's also like name something she's been in the leg overs. Hollywood look dovers the leftovers but no naming custom saying i'm just saying she's been more in the news of recent for like smooching then like being around and dating getting you know and not leaving him for a while like you know. Yeah although that ended up being like you know is kind of resolved because like in vague ways. She was like thinking wigs for speaking her truth as well you know because she probably had very similar experiences are anyway. She was eating. Maybe carola dill levin before that. Maybe she dated pete davidson dates. Pete davidson is like a whole thing in their own. Right you know. And now she smooch. In jack antonoff who i don't even know was broken up with his. The girl who's but was on the same. Venue alba surname carlaw. They broke up. I love that. The who stated who the who stated who dating history table starts with number one scarlett johansson two thousand one to two thousand and two. There's one iconic photo of the two of them together when they david number two ali shawqat two thousand two thousand ten k big break because people didn't care about jack antonoff from two dozen until two thousand nine essentially a number three lena dunham his most iconic relationship because they were together for ever five years engaged five years number. Four carlotta cole says january twenty january two thousand eighteen and question mark. No one knows like are they margaret qualley. It says that they've been dating for seven months so like which is february. I don't know what that seems but that's also getting that from. I think it just means nets. Like when you i think. Probably the table works when you type in twenty twenty one and don't put in a statement it just starts from the beginning you know. how the an automated table. Maybe point is. We don't know win here now. Car model. yeah. But i do love that. This is kind of those things where like because lord album about people are like talking about lord and jack again and he's like absolutely not. Here's smooching somebody else on your right right for the right thing. And lord has lured has a boyfriend. I i'm pretty sure she's dating but still but still people are. No yes hi right. That's probably exactly why this is not subtle by any means. You're right because if if the call that we got a few months ago was true which now i believe it was very true. Yeah this is a very deliberate move. It's like well. I'm gonna choose to reveal this when it will be most beneficial to me and the people. I care for aka lord. So i'm going to wait to smoot when margaret calls the pops until lord album is out. Thank god day. O'connor no who is sandra. Oh as grateful for sure. Anna just sandra day o'connor know who sandra oas i have. I have i guess. I guess think the answer is yes and i think the answer is yes because sandra oh has been in so many things that i think a lawyer watches. I think. I think that sandra day o'connor has probably seen under the tuscan sun. And i think that sandra day o'connor has probably seen grey's anatomy. I think that those are both shows and movies. That are all things that like. She's i actually take the lawyer thing out of it. She's an old white lady. She watches those things absorb. Some old white lady is watching wine. Name one old white lady that hasn't seen under the tuscan sun. I'm going to name one old white lady who loves both of those things and that's my anecdotal evidence. My mom loves out of the tuscan sun. She loves grey's anatomy. She loves andrew and she's going to watch the chair so like idol. You'll only you can only speak from pretty from old white ladies and the old ladies in my life also sorry not to be whatever what sandra day o'connor up to what's she up to while she's ninety i think right so that's what i'm saying like. She's she's watching that flicks from a from a lifetime of of you know standard o'connor has very much like you're looking at an energy where it's like. Oh what are your plans today sandy. And she's like in bed with their hand on the remote and you're looking at it like that sir day. What would you expect. What could what else could you expect you know. But also here's the thing about sandy o'connor i am going to assume that she likes watching these shows. I'm gonna assume flowery version of her personal life. I don't really want to know the truth. Because i'm really worried about some of her opinions. So let's just assume that she knows who sandra oh isn't that she likes the a tune into the chair of one-time the chair. I'm not going to tune into the chair. 'cause it's just seems like one of those things that everyone's going to be talking about forty eight hours by the time i watch. It's going to stop talking about it. Seems like flash the pan sort of thing so do i really want to invest energy..

"Short book. Easy to read. You can tear through it in literally like a day or two The author is a quick I'm gonNA screw this up and I apologize demands a quick a and maisy. And This author has written a few books that have I think once awards, there's a book called freshwater is this really curious basically, they were challenged to do some sort of the kids kind of horror book by somebody in their life, and so they wrote this book, which is about essentially a future state. Future town in America although it feels very much sort of like our our world. That all the monsters have been banished and the monsters are mostly referred to as like racists and cops send. Capital structure and it's sort of like if the good guys had one kind of what this town look like but it's completely black town. And so it's a sort of utopia situation. I don't want to go into it too much because I really want you to read it but it sort of becomes what happens when. That utopia sort of starts to crack and what comes out of it and what sacrifices were made to achieve that Utopia. This book is incredible I love Nice. I want you to read it because I. Think you'RE GONNA lose your mind. And it's a very fast read but I really WanNa, read freshwater. Again that's pet by a quick and easy. We'll put in the notes. You can out spelt an pet yet great book I. Think That's It for me. 'cause we're going to hold on what you have for your we damages other. Okay. So we're GonNa talk about Tremblay now. Worth it. Totally worth it. Okay. On audible I had some credits and so I grabbed. Growing things which has some follow up stories to the at full of ghosts, which by the way on up head full of it is Scott Cooper who directed crazy heart, which I loved with which is about the aging of. Country and Western singer who is mostly writer now with Jeff. Bridges and Maggie Gillian All and Colin Farrell out of nowhere and so Scott Cooper with this. He makes sort of small movies so. I will go see this even though it has Margaret Qualley and can we stop trying to make her happen in a Margaret Qualley is Andy McDowell's daughter and she was in the verdant thing and she's she's now a like a Ryan Murphy Darling and she takes me she's not great but. Scott Cooper seems to make good films. So I am looking for anyway. Paul Tremblay on audible is growing.

You know we've seen the girls go different places. But I never thought I'd live to see the day. I didn't think it would happen in my lifetime. Danielle that I'd see the Jersey gals house. Go to the Hamptons it. It felt wrong and it wasn't they. It was like West tamped which I've never or even been to the Hamptons but I knew the vowel is not a Hampton with friend of a friend of a friend's house for one night by myself like Whoa. WHOA WHOA I agree? I've never been. I don't know that I knew when I heard Southampton Beach and I'm sure it's nice. It looked beautiful. I could never afford awarded of being said if health should be called that being which is our like you know it's not I I don't WanNa hurt. You are with love with love that being said all the girls that got out of the car. We're making me laugh so hard. They are like House on the shore. Where well we know dated? "It could it could But yeah it's it's ankle by it under lor the Lord again kind of bills the world Tilson. It's interesting I mean just crazy in general but uh-huh oh yeah absolutely some of the things like some of the imagery that they have. It's like ridiculous like even like in some of the just like the smallest details. It's like you know who would think of this. It's it's weird. It's it's not. It's not like anything I've ever played and I I just liked. I like how you know each cut seen the and it seems like the game just gets weirder and weirder and it's just not something that you usually see so it's like what's going to happen because I really don't know I think it's also the very I gain that has successfully put any kind of celebrity any kind of well known actor into a multiple ray they look in still made the gain gene seemed like it. It made sense. Your brain is trying to comprehend this real life. Person is in this game and yet it belongs and I think he did a really good job in in blending the story in blending the things and it makes it interesting. And you're like what and it. I think it's the first game of ever played the head such well-known people put in it so obvious. That's how the outlook and that's how they are you know that's that's a big last asking that was could you add. That was probably be on Tuesday. Had Ellen page on the phone Oh you know what your souls was that it could again. I don't know what game that's something he'd make. Yeah that was a good game though. Yeah I want to say I don't care because those are just voices like it's just straight up faces like Saint Charles Charles Industrializing but it's not actually. which is I mean just played your desk training originally at? I like to be like Mike Mike. I'm just saying but right when we see Rita's and kill the This was it's like it's funny so it's A. It's a heavy weighted person and I don't think I've really played learning games with heavy-weighted people being any part of the main characters Kinda. Yeah and I think that's really cool to like. I really like his character. I do starting starting out the game. This is his character is and then like moving on. He actually has like a backstory usually feel for him more than like most everyone else. Yeah Yeah I find him very interesting I I really do like I really liked the the character chosen the roles. They're playing and I just don't think after playing it any well well not. We're not done yet but I don't think anyone else could really play parts. Yeah I think they definitely picked the right people for the roles. Yeah I mean it's it's everyone seems to really Mesh really well. It's all believable. I will say Norman. Rita's he's seems. Seems just like Darrell. But it's like I'm okay with that though because it fits this character so well and yeah so I mean. I think that I feel like there's just a lot of chemistry On screen that just it just is working working at least so far. I haven't completed the game yet. Yeah I could. I could end up painting this game like by next week or even later tonight knows but who celebrities. Let's do we have is seen. We've got trouble Margaret Qualley Mathematical San Guy Who is that guy. He utterly actor. Oh Brian's in its Kohner I I mean I mean that was pretty funny. It's pretty hilarious. Her name forget her name game shows on movies fragile. I've no idea who that is. I always forget her name Shoes one of the bond movies really was what that it's Saito same deal. I've no idea no clue. I thought that was like the one rendered character like wasn't based off anyone. She has perfect skin. If that's the case for not anymore oilers perfect face. She's she's the perfect face a bannock women what's her name who the president Bridget was just lazy wedding. Flash daughter white this. I don't think they have voiced by her. Yes they might be the same actor. I don't think they've used her as I think they're like yeah. They used her likeness but they did not use her voice. Yes same thing was a troy Baker girl. I kind of getting sick of him against and everything is so much by him he does a good. He doesn't Trajan searchers. Dig Everything. Yeah we need. We need less bakers more cooks being. It's it's really cool like it really is like. It's almost like a movie game in a way it does feel very much. It's very interesting. I says different job to it. Most Games are based off like books books or dare this fantasy people made up. And you know like it's really cool to kind of see that Mesh together like movies and games in a way any actors and famous people just loop like just merge yes cool and I mean there have been games like that before like you know last of us an uncharted series. You know most notably and sure there's a few other ones too But I feel like this one does it better and I feel like the game. Play play is more in line with what's going on in the cut scenes. Where feel like uncharted? It's like oh here's all this stuff and oh there's a whole bunch of just random enemies is that just popped up and you have to call them which destroy Baker which also has a baker. Yeah and they'll gear and Vassilis Troy. Baker is like in everything you actually ironically him. Please Mario's mustache in all the Mario Games. I'm just kind of disturbed. Now I mean that's he's everywhere that that is really uncovering I know he is everywhere But yes so clearly. I guess. We're all in unison here. Death stranding thing is Our Game of the year twenty nineteen. So we'll add it with Spiderman from last year and we need to open up like page or something on the website that's dedicated to these apply. Try to work on that. Maybe tonight So very exciting I did have some Game pinions from Lay Twitter and Just to see what some random people on twitter thought of This this year's list of games. There's some there's someone's on here that I wasn't expecting to see for people's game in the years So this one is from at Jeffy. The World Twenty nineteen look back my favorite top five games from two thousand nineteen. This first one is really weird to me. A number one ultimate commit alliance three for switch which is a game. I just completely forgot about To me it didn't really look all that great but I've never played it so I guess I can't really you know speak too much on that He also says Super Smash Bros ultimate technically Came out in December two thousand eighteen. But he's putting on their anyway. Which is fine fine Star Wars Janai Fallen Order for Playstation Four Samurai showdown for playstation Ford. Never heard of that game and then river city girls sleeper deeper Which I guess he's calling it a sleeper For the switch which I've never. I've never seen that. I've never seen that game either. Actually so I thought that was pretty cool. So he had some Very I guess obscure maybe not obscure but he had a couple on there that I just we just didn't know And this is at neon waves I guess underscore neon waves underscore trying to throw me off. this is his favourite game of twenty nineteen. He has great taste. It is death stranding made the right choice This next one another game that completely completely forgot this was a thing and man. These these guys have like the longest like frontlines This is at Dell in crow. And they said I'm so I'm grateful that astral chain exists and it's one of my top favorite games of two thousand nineteen completely forgot about that game. That was a switch which game switch exclusive of course These other. There's another tweet here. It says my favorite slash least favourite games of twenty nineteen. And because I'm bored because you're bored you are now in the game pinions podcast. Congratulations their favorite game. Fire emblem three houses. One that that wanted to play but get around to it and then this other game is indivisible which I've never heard of. Oh who is that. Actually really that Had posted that specifically this is a breath of the mild so I like the play on words there of the the mild play on word. This one's also really interesting Because they included games that weren't from this year necessarily thoroughly This is at Ryan Wolfe the four games that may twenty nineteen for me. I can't wait for all the new twenty twenty games. Heart Heart What were your affair? Games twenty nineteen. Well we already listed them off And they include fall at seventy six. which I thought was really weird? 'cause most people hate it fought seventy-six very similar to like an IMO per se. I wouldn't really put it in the same category as like a game. That's just more like a nonstop went. Honestly I mean that's always being worked on but I mean I liked fault seventy six so too yeah. I haven't played played it in over a year. Now but I actually like that too They also included star wars fallen order Looks like Pokemon X in why why not. Xm Why keep saying X.. and Ys pokemon sword and shield and. I'm assuming that's assassin's creed. If I had to make a guess but I really don't know I honestly don't know eat there. Yeah I have no idea picture. No idea can't really see so then we have one more. Actually I think we have a couple more we haven't done this for while compensating now So just hold onto your your butts So this is at a one thousand so not one hundred nine hundred and ninety nine but a thousand Favorite Games a twenty nineteen Seco- shadows. How does die twice resident evil to remake which once again and other game just completely forgot disco asylum never heard of it control which I heard was actually a really good game Devil may cry five completely forgot about that game. Never played any of those games in that series actually the outer worlds and other game. That's very easy to forget Judgment Fire three houses A plague tail innocence never heard of it and then Djeddai fallen order so a lot. It has been hitting the list more often than saker from what I'm seeing so far so good and I feel like a lot of that is like doc. It's because it is a good game but a lot of things recently bias to a lot of people you know these end of the year games usually get a little bit more attention than the ones that came out earlier earlier in the year This one is at chick corea cheese. Fire emblem three. Houses is my favorite game at twenty nineteen nineteen also golden. Deer is the best house. I don't know what that means but I am inclined to agree. I don't know it's there's three houses else's so I'm assuming golden deer as one of the houses in that game game. Yeah I. I haven't plates in awakening but really actually WANNA play. But I've too many other things I have to accomplish..

Well he was also on the cover of like men's fitness which I think is kind of the but the men's fitness. He was kind of like not showing as much wasn't now. It's now it's this picture. It was like look at my There's some contrast happening so many veins I do appreciate that the caption that he posted with the photo really does actually reveal how kind of your life is just like this is your full life. You know he said you know I I would not have been able to have a full year. With the best trainers meaning money nutritionist. Meaning money paid for by the big studio meeting. I didn't pay for it. I'm glad I looked like there's but I also understand why I never did before. Because it's insane it would have been impossible without the resources and time so big. Thanks to my trainer minor and all these other things for the catering that fed me the meals to keep me on track. I mean I do appreciate this like honesty behind saying not only did AH yes did not only was this my number one focus. It was my job. It was paid for by the studio. Who hired me to do this? I think that's incredibly important and I'm glad that he did it because having a body like that is it's next to impossible unless you have the time and the money and the professional national pressure like it's literally like you said it's his job of course if someone were like I will pay you five million dollars but unfortunately you have to get ripped as hell to do so you probably get ripped as hell and it would take you months to do it so like it's good that he's doing that but also there's no avoiding the fact that you sort of have to talk out both sides of your mouth. Southward like look how impossible this this is just for work but as I look how sexy I am now like look at my body. It's really cool. Nicole Smith like like my body while while at the same time being like you're the cultural implications of my body being like this okay but also just feel I feel like your brain also breaks in the process meaning. It's so hard to do this to your body. especially he's like what forty two I mean. It's it's so hard to do this to your body that anytime we have to convince yourself that it's really what. Oh you what you do to your psyche to psych yourself up to do this turns you into someone who's like. This is my accomplishment. I work so hard on this but you did and you. It's hard for you not to be that person what you're describing though like my body because you have to feel that way to get to the end you can't be cynical about your own experience and get get to the end. Goal is my thought. Yes I forgot that. He was nominated for an Oscar for best original screenplay. I've forgot I love when celebrities mentioned their trainers because I love the trainers trainers. He's very trainer's name is grant grant Roberts fit He's incredible he also sle trains. Evil I mean he probably is terrible politics but he trains. I mean no. I don't know I'm whatever he does. He definitely I'll get to the point. Why why think that he trains Eva Longoria Ferrera? And maybe Hilary Swank and Zachary Levi which is funny because remember when Zachary Levi. I'm hot now. Needed the same thing to him. Essentially no one cared as much. The other amazing thing about grant Roberts fit is that he was in the movie Richard Jewel not as a background extra literally as a cop. So that's why I imply that things are weird he and his caption. Oh my God he posts a picture of the billboard of Richard Jewel camp the caption. It's just so the billboard today on on the way to the gym at Richard Jewel Film Opens December thirteenth. I play officer will Jones Dot. I thought let's just say I had a quote blast Smiley face me remembering the Atlanta Atlanta Olympic bombing. Yuck oh yeah. That's the biggest hikes. That's Yikes so Camille is ripped now. Well it's complicated. It's just it's I'm rolling my eyes at all of it. Because he did. It's one of those things. He did everything right if you're GONNA IF YOU'RE GONNA get hot for work. This is the way to do it. I guess and we know mad at it. I can't be mad at it. Chris Brown would never give you a caption in like this. He'd be like thank you God for my muscles. That's what he would do like it's like that's what would happen. Kumail is like Daddy de Jesus for giving me my muscles who mail is is being so honest about everything but you know. I'm sure he isn't giving his entire workout plan. Wink Wink Wink Wink wink. But he's giving most. I'm sure there's a little more to the workout plan that he would not divulge having said that they all have the same workup plant. So it's it's good. It's just it's always a little disappointing to see the normal guy turned into the Superhero Guy. And it's like sure I guess it's nice but it was good having you on the normal side. Yeah but in a Pakistani Guy Hunk. You know we don't have that we don't have all of these white dude hunks all all look the same. We literally we literally cannot tell the white dude hung's apart there are so many. FM We have forty five. Chris and now we have a guy named Kumail Nangiani which is incredible. Who is a fucking in Hong to what I hope? Here's my hope. I think that this would sort of so Chris Pratt has sort of he has become the muscles you know. He did it for Guardians of the Galaxy and he became that person I would like to his brain. His brain collapsed. I would like to think that Kumail is like I'm doing this for work after I'm done undoing marvel. I'm GonNa sort of maybe I'll stay a little. I'll stay more fit than I used to be like. I'll go back to normal. I won't make showing off my muscles part of my thing. Maybe he won't. I don't know but I really can't really be too mad about it and I'm trying to convince my brain to stop being annoyed by it and it's tough but he did. That captured his great that captured his greatly. Maybe I think it's easy to be annoyed with it. But then it's also you have to see the other side of all the people to like get ripped and get attention. I'm not mad about this just not. I'm not you know. Whatever I just can't be that mad? I can be like Ella Mayo but I can't be mad. I know Yellow Mayo and I can't be mad. It's it's overall again. Mega Net gain net win. It's like net good right. I wish whenever you're whenever you find yourself conflicted like this. It's sort of like the simple version of making a pros and cons list. It's pretty easy to figure out whether or not something is a net good or a net loss and this isn't that good so whatever can't really be too Matha Klay. Yeah Hi. This is amy Medium medium time. I have a question about. What's the talk is up with Marina July Margaret qualley thing? It seems so like obviously it's a performance art piece like they. Gd and then like she like David Lynch Sorta like I rolled also james involved. It just seemed like who we also like already and I just think it's real bizarre and I would love to hear your take on it and Chicago. Fuck is happening. So that's all. Thanks Buddy as French. This is so much. It's less complicated than anyone thinks they were. She was never in a relationship with Margaret Qualley. Jaden Smith was never just like naturally curious about the state their relationship. He was in on this as you said performance art. That's you fit all the Morandi July. I feel like you should know what her work is like. And this is what our work is like. Yeah Yeah knows what it's like. This is extremely it. It's losing using with feeling that's what it is. It's using with like discomfort and like and like emotion and you know eight love. She wears everything on her sleep soundly. Maranto wears her heart honestly if she literally wears like a beating bloody disgusting heart on her sleeve that is Miranda. July's hole and imagery beautiful image. But you know what I I mean. And she's also married to Mike. Mills is this an already fucking very emotional very feeling couple. But I think people who maybe didn't know about Miranda July but knew about Margaret Qualley or knew about Jaden got pulled into this being confused about who she was and what Tis exactly was because we see instagram which is inaccurate as a very authentic platform in which things are real and true in documentarian Syrian first person and this is not it's filmed that way because it's instagram but it's obviously fully scripted. I think it's over now. It was people's recalling what it was starting and I was like. Can we just wait till it's over over again like Jaden wasn't involved in the ended with Jaden being like is this real or not and then whatever her I mean it's not real. It is scripted. It's supposed to be it's supposed to appear to be real. It's interesting the way that they use instagram. I'm not sure that I fully think think that instagram was the right place for something like this but it was the right place to fool people into thinking it was maybe real if that will appoint And basically it's just if you WANNA go back through her stories and look at them. It's like facetime calls between Margaret Qualley. Who is again Andie macdowell daughter? Who is who is kind of an up and coming thing? She was in once once upon a time in Hollywood etc and marriages ally kind of in this. Like romantic throws dramatic romantic affair. They love each other something something and and then for some reason Jaden Smith is involved. He comments in the INSTAGRAM. And then she calls Jaden Smith and he's like maybe maybe should do something called the hazy and circle which is totally made up by By Merger Long Randa and they do this ritual and then they and then they kiss and that's the the end of the story I don't even I don't even think it's yeah that that's really it. It's just an art piece and the timing of this yet. Maybe I'm being a taking a little too deeply into this but we haven't really thought about Miranda in awhile since she released her her novel which is actually really good Your that too right. Yeah I it did for years ago but she has a movie. That's premiering at Sundance. That actually seems really cool with it. But it's just like she's like it's sort of like like allow me to reintroduce myself it's like she's like Miranda ally saying I'm still here I'm still making art. Don't forget them wally in that moon. No no I know you're positive. It's Evan Rachel Wood. Richard Jenkins Debra. Winger which is II. Conic Gina Rodriguez and then a lot of people. I don't know but Brad Pitt produced it and it's called CA- Jillian air and it's a it's a heist movie. That's all I know it's a heist movie Rachel I writing a heist movie. That's sounds cool and it's going to be at Sundance in January. So it's done Maranda is still out here doing stuff to me. It just reads like. Oh she's been like creatively. She's been active lately and this was just an idea she she had it and why not do a little bit of Promo for her for her new movie to quietly. It's boring it's not real it's managed by it's it's yeah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah. We're done thank you for listening to. WHO's there We've got. We are not going away over the holidays. You're getting all the episodes. Were used to over the over like Christmas New Year holiday so we will be back on Tuesday and Friday next week next..

"margaret qualley" Discussed on Full Cast And Crew

"Like that of all people Katrina among the actors we spy there Brad Pitt Yard caprio Margot Robbie email hirsch as JC bring hairdresser to the stars I Margaret Qualley I didn't know is Andy McDowell's daughter and is a very arresting screen presence when you see her and stands out amidst a sea of species I'd Hippie Hippie confuse you with Rick Dalton if you start refer news hippies Timothy Elephant Luke Perry Harry in his final film role ending Bruce Dern as the owner of the spahn movie ranch which is very famous location for western TV shows and films in Hollywood Mike Mo as Bruce Lee reversal turn which I was just laughing watching that scene it's filled with joy and appreciation for the caricature of Bruce Lee that we're getting I don't think is presented as if it's the reality it's a flashback and it's somebody's memory you so yes there's already this layer of subjectivity to brilliant scene Damian Lewis Doing brilliant Steve McQueen turn I thought that was a great and really funny and funnily pitched Cameo I was reading that part of the reason he was given it or people thought of as a Casper said when he was auditioning for band of brothers many years ago that he looked like a young Steve McQueen have to say I don't see it like I liked amy loses an actor and I thought he did great the whole but you don't see the resemblance that would say burt reynolds was just warmed over Marlon Brando that's why I grew the mustache that I could see Tarantino said something interesting about Margot Robbie performance as Sharon tate which was he didn't want Sharon tate to be a Quentin Tarantino female character that's why you see her throughout the film doing really normal things it's not the Sharon tate that we have an idea of you think of her as this astoundingly beautiful glamorous movie star Occupy saying rarified air but in fact if you read about her apparently by all accounts she's extremely down to Earth very bright very sensitive very warm and I think Affect Tarintino shows her doing a lot of normal stuff going to the store going to the movies and it humanizes her and you care about her a Margot Robie said in the roundtable I showed you amy weekly that he described her as sort of the heartbeat of the film whereas Damian Lewis is doing a comedic impersonation purposefully like I'm trying to be physically no it doesn't but that's that's what he's talking about that's a that's a Quentin Tarantino Steve McQueen appearance and what you're saying so you described Margot Robbie portrayal that's what makes this movie more than just the Cameos in the fun of the recognizable things is it is so much about where myth and reality meet yes place where that is in real life based on making myths yes that's what the real life is so that overlaps shown through her performance intergrate ways in the same way that it is with Rick Dalton that's why it's kind of funny to me watching the movie think we're all aware of the controversies that came out when the film was released the first one was some of Bruce Lee's living family members took issue with the portrayal of Bruce Lee who is presented as a strutting egotistical cock of the walk who needs to be taken down a few pegues they had issue with that and the other one was I think some journalists when the film premiered were taking Tarantino to task for the lack of Margot Robbie character development and why wasn't Sharon given more to do and why wasn't her role as important to the film as the two male leads and to your point I believe that just completely misses the point certainly on the Sharon tate issue I understand if you're a family member of Bruce Lee you're not going to be pleased for half which is understandable but you know you're making a fix for trail of something and nobody is perfect yeah and then like as we pointed out it's a subjective memory subject yes however I thought Margot Robbie was brilliant in this her scenes were shown unturned Tino ask in a great way that the movie benefited from and I really did I think that's a great term that he used of her being the heartbeat of the realm and checking back in with her it's funny before I saw the movie maybe some of you listening who haven't yet seen the movie will feel the same way when I watched the trailer I remember thinking like Oh it's almost like he flipped the casting I would expect we're like Brad Pitt is the movie star and Leonardo is the stuntman for some reason that felt like more of a fit to me but it's perfect the way it is not only does Leonardo embody Rick Dalton and his actally pesos so hilariously and compellingly there are great scenes where he's losing it on sat in what's presented as a kind of last chance opportunity to kill it in a pilot and continue working and thus be able to continue to employ cliff who's kind of the movie sort of exist it Kinda threw cliffs perspective really even though Rick is the famous one we're in good company with cliff who's got his head on his shoulders smilar that's like let's not it's like the moral conscience of the movie he's going to do the right thing I mean that's also thing that sort of up in the air there's some ambiguity about his his past yes and therefore that feeds into what he does in the president you're absolutely right that the actions that we do see he's definitely more laid-back he's easy going yes but there's this idea of him that we or find out one way or the other about the kind of person he is or was remembering that it it just makes me has been to say that he's sort of the moral center of it because to me it's less about one or the other in about this symbiotic relationship in the friendship it is but I think that in the context of their symbiotic relationship he's the one who views everything that's going on with what feels like an appropriate perspective sure Reykdal has no perspective because for him it's the end of his life he's just struggling to hold onto a career really cliff you can hear it on the trailer that Calming Reassuring Maybe let's keep the meal ticket in place because cliff booth is pretty much just hanging on one of the things turn Tino aiming born and raised in L. A. Lifelong obsessive about Hollywood history wanted to do a story about the different layers of Hollywood so he wanted to have someone in a Rick Dalton who formerly was up at the top of the pyramid someone who represented guys like cliff booth who are peripheral to the movie industry but essential to it but basically could work their whole life in the industry and have really nothing to show for cliff lives in a trailer behind a drive in movie theater and his closest companion the way off he's on the way up and she doesn't even understand yet herself what her place is about to be I've heard some complaints from some people who wanted more plot yeah I never did Tarantino said he thought about that because he started with the ending and then everything worked backwards to hit that ending what he wanted he thought about adding plot in different places but in the end he decided to trust the character study would be enough to get us where we were going and I think it does because the film had has several incredible set pieces specifically the spahn ranch piece I mean it's a movie on it's like it's a movie unto itself I mean it's just something I want to watch again this easy only in Tarantino film world mash up of sixties forties and fifties and a cowboy movie with an action movie and just it's stunning it's dramatic it's tense and it's also very well written it so well we talked about the changing of generations and I think there's also demystification of capacity and it's not just Quentin Tarantino's mind like this is pretty much true yes in the sense that replace Manson family really did settle there you have this scene where cliff is talking to George Spawn and the tension in there I thought was excellent but it was so well written because you're kind of on cliffs side because unless you're unless you're on the Manson family but you also see the kind of limits of him as a person of and as a representative of we know these people are something else but I think it's unsparing in those details and of showing the feet of clay of cliff and of Hollywood general you see the impulse to do the right thing but also its limits which are of course why he hasn't spoken to George New Year's the backstory on Brad Pitt's character is that he I did some shit in World War Two Green Beret type shit that he was a phenomenal soldier as Tarantino says in the J. podcast Ikea right five fucking movies about woodcliff booth did in the war like that's how far he went in creating this backstory for the character I think that's seen is also incredible for the way that the Manson family is presented in the movie and specifically in the Spun Ranson has just the right amount of creepy weirdness and dirty need freaky hippie girls with spacey is and also this militaristic organization that sort of just beneath the surface that's somehow more scary than acid it out kind of like hey man version we've seen in other lesser representation with Sharon's character in the reality of it that it becomes more effecting is it it's Dakota fanning who who's place squeaky who is taking care of taking prisoner of George spot after lover friends there ticker and she is great and she is the one who until if goes to the door of the small house where George Spun lives always see is her sitting in an armchair watching television surrounded by a bunch of the other Manson family male and female and she's barking orders tell me if he does this does that which part of the drive is in whereas you know and it's just a cool way to do something that both indicates the slightly quality and also the Margaret qualley character pussycat who lures Brad Pitt's character to the ranch she's incredibly attractive and calmly but she so exudes a certain dangerous unhinged quality that a lot of the peripheral Manson characters have part of that is attitude the contrast we see her in relation to Brad Pitt's character and even though he's not in a suit and tie he is still representative of this older different way and you see Eh both the appeal of the hippie style but also the kind of disdain for it there's a wonderful scene between the two of them in the car is he's driving with ranch both not the main characters it's not Rick Dalton talking to Charles Manson it's the people on the periphery but both representing these two sides of the generational divide so kind of showing how close maybe we were to just having a tip one way or the other that's kind of the thing here and I think that's the teetering bring that the country probably felt like it was on in nineteen sixty nine I will say also I think it's the most effective use of Lena Dunham in a film she is sort of the defacto female leader of the troop I think is used quite well it is a piece of stunt casting hopefully but it's done really effectively and not at her expense joke could have been on Lena Dunham by Quentin Tarantino a small role and she'd you don't focus on her you could if you didn't know her you could easily forget the role entirely one of the cool things about this movie about the cameos and the different and real people that are shown is you get a sense of the way I would put a shared universe like a comic bookstore all of these people were inhabiting the same place at the same time what Hollywood is all about.

"Have you heard lavina part of something bigger word than myself and in this production like i really felt that way. Oh no it's okay yeah. Thank you. Thank you all right so ahead of cats obviously ahead of this album. <hes> what do we think is taylor's current standing in the public eye and what does this album have to do to revive her current image which is arguably worse than it's been for a long time you you think you think it's worse now. It's on its way back but in the last couple of years it's been worse it has but i think she is only taking steps forward catches. I honestly kind of a step back by yes her political involvement. It's hard every step. She takes forward like her being politically involved in taking a stand against or i mean with the community. She got an equal amount of backlash at this is really contrived so it's hard to tell her. She's very very clearly trying. Yes and i think she is on the up and up. I think like yes albums. Tone is a very positive. I think she's taken. I mean there are like some of these interviews. She's like very clearly like blaming the media for what had her like pointing fingers at things that don't need to be aren't necessarily like the cause yet but i do think largely to sure images improving people are these last songs been very popular. People have been talking about how reputation as aged really well. Which obviously i think is true and yeah. I think she's kind of on on the rise again. I think she will never i think people's in general favorite is like when she was at her most authentic back boy back in the day but as as a brand what she is you have to evolve and she cannot be curly-haired writing country music about tim mcgraw yeah <hes> and i think honestly she's kind of embracing the new era really well and she's kind of like an adult woman. I'm like the girls climate is in the past kind of a juvenile <hes> thing yeah her like really he likes drama centered life rate also hopefully in the past so i think her turning older and like her kind of is only good just like embrace adulthood. Yes ask the next chapter move on from certain few. Who do we think if anyone she's gonna suck into her squad. Do we want her to like sorta. Be like you know creating these sort of promo friendships certain people because obviously we know like the social media friendship is these days i need whoever wrote the stand in the outline to speak now who who wrote margaret qualley role margaret qualley because she's having a moment now sure an also do remember her commercials marshall she had for kenzo or she's dancing. Yes very familiar like vibes taylor's a delicate delicate like she ripped it off. Yeah so i'm like i i feel like margaret's like very much the kind of it girl on the up and up she will target. He's like classy. She's andie macdowell roles exactly they agree. I also think there are a couple of people i think she needs to get like some new younger actress friends like maybe i just have little women on brain blake's. Yeah taylor is going to be making the oscar rounds for the cats promo like you gotta get in with some of the like a double date in serbia and her 'cause jack in enjoy allen were in mary. Queen of scots together does already from did not have any younger younger friends like her friendship with hailee steinfeld like is fine now. I think they're okay but like she's almost thirty. You know we're trying to do but like maggie rogers. I feel like that's like that. I would like i would like the same kind of in line with her new. Yeah yeah yeah yeah first aid kit girls so it's like feels like her. I like her yeah hi. I'm still very much out there on the spot. I really truly think she had that phase where she's brain people out every night of her tour and i think that was a couple years ago but the u._s. loans national soccer team absolutely going to get pulled into some sort of taylor swift selfie..

"Some Holland and directed by down traction Berg on it's going to be released as action if firmly firmly of simple twelve twenty. So it's going to be focused on young Drake meets in Tucson of, basically of on charter on that is it three three three. That's I think I think the. the three okay. This year play. You know it's the game on the really unknown for football, and that kind of stuff. So the announcer typical twenty ounce modern twenty dollars and twenty which I only give shit about if you incremental improvements on whatever, on the on the same ever doing for forever people like box. What's interesting is. Two games. The announced. Right. So the announced Star Wars fallen order. So remember, I told you that the mess off style was Star Wars battle everything to fronts that correct to add a mess with all the loot gamy crop of two years ago and ever was given. I think Disney World is your last chance. I'm serious. I think this electrons, so they decide to come correct and create third person adventure game, Allah on chatted type with style was fallen order, and it's has forest Whittaker in it's as if remember the cocktail or in. In that one. Yes. Yeah. I wanted to so he's going to he's going to be one with them go girl. Yes, his call wasn't that character is in this star was for an order. And it looks good. I've seen the game play. Now. Guess what? The directors nor you might know. He's one of three stigma sensiti actually got the director of the war three shoes. Directs styles for an order. So. It does look very, very good. So set adventure is a car. Reward. That was an adventure is a character goes around really nice, sort of fighting feature sets storage driven cooks. Good watch that minutes game play. And that's important, the actually should that's minutes of gameplay very, very press looking forward to it. And then they announced which I think are looking to decide I seems for island living. So as seems for eyelid living over good. I really the last time I even was into same felon, I usually, yes. Lock people up lanes are Muslim. What is unique? Stop when she was making the different. Yes. Exactly. How she's probably going about this on must be excited about this actually, and it's the gameplay is influenced by Polynesian culture. So it's basically island kind of blithering with the typical island, garb not of black skin color in the game. Basically been one but a bit wanna ask exactly as my wanna is basically. So that's, that's, that's, that's what seems all about. And then they announced some of solitude, which is so e you know, how companies have their marquee known when they have their okay so, yeah, we made all this money here, we have this project with giving back to the community in their charter project break social responsive minutes. This is that corporate that they're coached. I this is their CSR. So this is called. They haven't via every single year any good. Guess on no so good. Some of nothing good. And after give it to them that even doing this anyway, because lots of other people don't do this as much as I take the piss, sometimes, I think, sometimes we give too much credit to companies just because they wants to ensure that when revolution comes to get you. Teamed, does not me. I was just giving them a Haas, of course. But I have to say that, it's the always do new IP every time so I'm quite impressive. Actually puffing one time because they did make assess outta was so good. Musical attach. But this one is casino is a game based on loneliness. He has a team of luminescence. It's I think it's a female director dis attach to this. It seems to be idea of scene. It's very interesting game. It's about alone female character. Sorts of with loneliness as a metaphor read about this. Yeah. Lewis as a metaphor for what she goes through in the game. Very interesting because, now as people was listening, more connected. No more knowning minute. What else I have my own? Than ever, because a lot of the time is this isolated existence where you're just like him picks and stuff like that. But is no to talk to. Or sometimes when we have people say that listen to our podcast because it's like, you know, having people in the room talking to you. So I think maybe one of the things we can do to solve this. Sometimes gonna be smile, teach other say hi to each other off holidays, going even on the tube. Yes, I know for London. Like, are you tried to get me killed for some things just we need to reach out? Okay. So enough of hundred gig crushing my thing. I'm actually rights as well on hopefully this game will espouse those things I just mentioned, paid by good, also moved by, and then get on the to put on their headquarters that put it down into whatever it is that they're watching, or reading on their device where pregnant woman standing there. No one gets to give a seat kick the last thing that I answer my shown is a game that I have mentioned in the past death stranding. Oh, of course that stranded. I'll do. Damascus that I do. Yeah. Basically, like I said, because this could you because Sony I told you how broken e three so literally, I think it was even this week was last week. Just unsure thirteen minutes in minutes. Raila now. This is important because Kajima. Is self is a strong. Guests in a if I call him for stricter, director and alter, and when he makes games he Levy makes our movies. That's really what he's doing. The actually has a game where the cut scene is two hours, two hours long did in movie cut scene inbetween interruptions in the game. Got time for that. And so this guy has left me, I talked about the show while ago on his Sony picks him up. And they said that he was going to do next projects everyone the game coming that. Okay. Everyone zoomed. I was gonna say everyone zoom out because he takes his sweet for Kintyre taking seventy seven games. It takes six years, sometimes make a game. Yeah. Six straight off this twenty four team. Yes. But yeah. But what's known? George. I don't know that I ever showed twenty sixteen or something. The reason why this is important is because the release dates is the eighth twenty nine thousand nine that is literally three years from when he announced that he that he had created with Sony. Everyone's been while Sony hot soem bouncers who agreed of this sanctuaries go, go back next contractual. Yet disciplined are saying, look, whoever the scrum master was the project by Joe was get such. He pulled in the time. Mature is metro every fucking year because can sue self-indulgence so be ever played it here. So we don't know how good it actually is will say a very disturbed peer to peer very flavors. They like this, existential issues, there's a lot about White House. So, okay. So this is where it becomes stupid. Right. The name of the character. Okay. Sorry. Fights of. Gotcha. The game that strands is about strands of society. It's about breaching difference as sites his together after a through word. No after a. Life changing bets so maybe bomber of all the right blood knows something happened on society splintered and its stranded. And you have to connect the strength of society. Right. You have to bridge the collection in players. I guess the player they never character Trump. Go. Strand is the strand I got paid. Is it Michael? No, I know. No limits. Literally bridges. I bet the house house months Mickelson joined the cast as the main antagonist the main protagonist was called something bridges. This did no no easy something bridges. And then actor actor is normal. He did took his exactly I guess. Yes. Among smokers as like that, because the game, I'm supposed to spend my disbelief, and I just don't want depiction of, you know, because it's a game 'cause usually like doing actually do that. Well, this is what it pop up podcast, where I'm just basically making my view, not people's nothing, the Faulk about. But it's more the fact that if you are acting in TV of sorry in a game you wanted to be as anonymous as possible. Because they're going to be some amazing things or things happily by having the likeness of an actor in again is very, very weird. Throw. It depends myself. It's of relevance, because when discount your skull, you and accessories, leasing so, yeah, maybe that generally would have tickets extra for that could you possibly possibly. So, right. The metal guests solid love the Carters hachi where the scampered the edited. So they look very different. That's why Trump. 'cause Drake is drink. It doesn't look like no. It does. Yes, it does his face doesn't own. Let's face. No, it does actually, I think the guy's face the noise, and now when he was way started, it's Nathan Drake implicit shown one firstly to recruit executive, right? Then what did it was over time? They changed. That's what it did the same thing. They did with the girl in lots of apples done it so much. I can yes on the changed. Yeah. Because I was going because there was another of the religion that I have now. What the heck is going on here. Exactly. Anyway, the game has the actors non-readers mass Michelson Leah's lasts you do from, from the JAMES BOND movie, the best place. I know her from them. Them for something blue. Police colors newswoman kick, probably Lindsey Wachner. She's actually big deal. But I don't actually know who she I that scenario. I think I think she's yeah. She's a she's an actress. She did by owning woes did the by woman, six minutes. Elleman dates from this issue. So yeah, yeah, she's a no school actress. And if you are sort of well known voice actors like Troy Baker. Margaret qualley and there's a gecko me Earl Jenkins. White think is not actually film does something else. Whatever is in the movie, Guelleh del Toro's, in its whatever resigned to Nicolas winding Refn, that's director, Dr. So they got to directors. Yes. To star in the Bernard direct okay? Yeah. So basically saying this, my peers, no to my saying is director direct directors. Could I do? He feels it feels like it flex boy is super fucking you take flight now, I need to zoning, Russ, where I'm going to say because I know hours. That's his died did not want to like this game because I took like Kojima, don't like, is it more to do this facility, the fact that he thinks he's the dome this personality? The way he did last metal solid game, the sexism, the misogyny that he actually purports I know by the game, but I have to say it's very country intriguing from us. I am going to definitely with for reviews because the cost of how much I don't trust him. I think that it is good. Soupy. Someone gassing himself up if your, your son I feel like it's going to pretentious games, but it Detroit looks interesting at the moment. So caution on district. And that's what I have next time in the normal program. I'm actually going to talk about what's happened from three because obviously probably be sometime afterward. And most of you who care about gaming, whatever ready heard about news butts just for. Timelines. Tonight's sorry. What today's today's day off, forget about by the time by the time you've heard this have had the experts e-3 confronts, which the at the Clinton probably announced the? Expos streaming service, which means next gen consoles me no actually use physical, consoles might be showing like you play YouTube channel on Tuesday afterwards, would be Nintendo. Nintendo directs in which they might announce animal crossing mezzo metro prime and. What's in something? And it looks like couple MIR announce of ships rights, they might announce it on automatic announce. Michelle is apparently between those two of the moments, I applaud emotion, but was also interesting is the fact that the in London is technique yeses. Yes, yes, it's almost like, well, if I was obviously if I was in this industry, I'm not coming to London. Quick, busy three but guessing. Strange Joseph flex, lots of Google stadia to believe in all right, under sir. Thank you. Because I'm about to give is in good. Could say in kiss kiss? Brilliance. Today. Thank you. Thank you. Honey? "Scary was Amish? Okay. Yeah. I know. That news on movie. Looks like it could be dead. Don't Bill Murray Adams Ryan. Jim jarmusch? Yes. Reception at the Cannes film festival. I'm trying to read a lotta reviews, yada, tried to go in fresh wanna read anything. I liked what Bill Murray did when he got to arrived at the airport, and there is a taxi strike, because they're mad about the burn lift drivers hanging their business, and he got a taxi driver to break rank because he said, I heard there's Zambia invasion in can I have to get there. Well, we just talked about that we spend more time looking at our phones than watching TV watching TV on average. The American averages three hours, thirty five minutes, a day on TV on TV makes sense. Come home have dinner seven to ten time re for me. Yeah. Watching the show here and there. Sleep on the couch this Sunday though we've got big. Little icies, and it's going to be gay big little lies season. Two Meryl Streep joining us already sacked cast a fallout over what happened at the end of last season. We spoil it. I mean here what? Okay so season two we're gonna see what happens. Merrill, plays Allender guards mother in this, she wants answer. She wants him. Now, Also Sunday night is the Tonys from seven to nine on CBS cannot wait. Now, you watch the Tony's right? All three of his, Johnny Jillian all love watching the Tonia. I think it's my favorite real. Many performances. Even if you don't have a chance to go to New York to see the shows on Broadway, eventually, they will be traveling here to the orpheum. Dear Evan Hanson's there right now. Right. I think we're gonna see a Minnesota connection on the Tony Sunday. Santino Fontana ease the lead in twitchy, and he's the favourite terrain best actor. And he did you have NBA fake Guthrie program. He was in hamlet's flash o the old Guthrie too great, great actor. That's very cool. I think he, I think he's going to do really well, and then suffrage j block plays share one of the shares in the share show and I think she's the favorite right now to win best and she's a phenomenal performer. Anything else coming back? We'll pose comes back on Tuesday nights and eleven faxes promoting that hard. I heard Ryan Murphy talking to Sandra Bernhardt about that Cassandra Berta hundred in that show. And then. Jay, Michelle Rodriguez. I can't remember somebody the main character, the reporter, no not. Billy porter the gal who got kicked out of the first house and started her own house at actors. Right. He was on Jimmy this. Maybe Jay Wright v. I can't I can't her name. Anyway, pose that that show was, so he's one on Netflix. If you need to cut back. Yeah. That's a great great show. And there's a show on HBO that is on at seven o'clock this evening and I'm going to watch it. It's called the cold blue and d day stories it's documentary couple of movies about the disorienting horror, I guess of, of the day air attacks for the seventy fifth anniversary of in here at about seven o'clock at HBO special. Stay probably about the, the air, attack the bombers, so I'm definitely gonna watch that. So that's going on Jay Rodriguez. Yes. Yep. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. It'll be great. He was just wonderful. And then I'm trying to think of finish. Fosse verdon. Johnny. How did you watch? I have a music theater background. So, like I knew Fosse was a little bit coming into this, of course. And Gwen Verdon, and I read the, the biography Fossey by Sam Watson. And just to see this come to life and Michelle Williams needs to win everything ward for playing when for how she carries herself. And the vocalisations the singing dancing, and I love that it was more about her giving her time and her allies faced on the book. Yeah. Book out process, but with Nicole Fossey their daughter as a producer dot or was one of the Purdue lean men, maranda, and Tom Tommaso producing it with her. And then she went to her for a lot of research behind the scenes. Stop. And she's like, I really want this to be about my mom, let's give her the focus. Yeah. Of course, people who think they don't know. Gwen Verdon is if you know, the dance beyond Beyonce doesn't single ladies that is converted. It's very. Just what she did life beyond. Kind to her with that the single single eighties, very distinct look and field as choreography. Yes, you. Yeah. Yes. The head tilt in the hand. He was all civic, and that I thought was so touching to his memorial or eulogy if you will pay chevette funeral net had to really happen. Oh, does the soft shoe writing that was really sweet and Sam Rockwall was great great and still focus. He's not a likable character. Mary flawed very complicated. Serious girlfriend that Bob Fosse has after Gwen Verdon, the gal ranking well, not her. But the younger woman that younger woman that is Andy McDowell's dot. Yes. Margaret qualley your got. She plays any ranking. Yeah. Margaret qualley great great. So alive to, and there's an article about her career now and her reflection on the show. Yeah. It's such a fascinating story. He was such a comp like he needed attention. He needed someone his life, and how Gwen put up with that was always there. Yeah. But they made stuff. Together, did a lot of awards. I like this idea Alec Baldwin to be roasted on comedy central. I feel like we've not had a comedy central roast since last summer, who was that the beavers Willis, no. Was last summer. So he's going to have more than thirty racks. Thrown at him. There's going to be, he's of course, material hosted SNL record seventeen times. Of course, he plays Donald Trump on SNL in his spare time, he enjoys skirmishes over parking. City and being the most successful balden, brother and having children with his wife and in the first promo for the rose portrait of Alec Baldwin labeled world's greatest can be seen hanging over fireplace in balden says they say were own worst critic, but I can't find anything to criticize. So that'll be that'll be funny. Oh, yeah. Oh my gosh. Yeah, I love those rows. Yeah. They don't have as on his they used why if they just don't people want to do it. I don't know if it's the whole politically correct thing they can't get people to agree to do it or come on, but got to be able to take it. Yeah. You know the focus. Hey, did you watch that hot zone that Julianna Margaret was promoting was on NAT geo? No, I didn't. I watched it. I thought it was outstanding you did place on the book that twenty two decades ago. Yeah. Same name of a nineteen Eighty-nine viral outbreak. Listen have record ratings for National Geographic, it became the highest scripted series in National Geographic system, but I didn't know they ever had any scripted series. Well, they have those movies, like Picasso. Yes. Einstein before, Geoffrey. Rush outstanding Bola those who was very well done, and Juliana Margulis is really good. Three nights. Six hours. Even though most of the time they're in their hot suits. That is. Criticism. I read was like hard to get into a TV show or their. It's just stupid dumb Tae. They have to be in the suits. They're dealing with A Bola. Okay, but it's interesting to see where it all started, and how it was first discovered in Africa in the seventies. So you get the back story of all of that did it make you Irving about an bowl of virus breaking out make you nervous. Avian flu. But even the government is probably ready for zombie apocalypse. Amazon did that movie never played on Amazon for like two years. Played it in movie theaters bullet-point it I played in movie theaters. And there's also distribution channels, where what Netflix does is they will put a movie in a movie theater. It may not be in Minneapolis, but it will be a New York and LA at the same time they allow a movie to be streamed on Netflix. So that that's kind of what happened with Roma your favorite movie of all time. Played in the movie theater played here for a little bit. But yeah, I mean they just got to get over themselves and really okay? Here's, here's the guardians once upon a time in Hollywood review. Oh, no spoilers Tinos. Dazzling. "Of Bob Fosse, Gwen Verdon, another is Lin Manuel. Miranda who's Broadway success with Hamilton has been nothing. Short of phenomenal. His presence alone suggests that the musical numbers recreated here will be done with precision and reverence and they are and while her presence dictates that this biography of a parent is authorized it is not an entirely flattering portrayal of either of them the portrayals. However are so good. It's almost a relief. Gwen Verdon is played by Michelle Williams, who's come a long way from the WBZ Dawson's creek. And she was good. Even there in Manchester by the sea Brokeback mountain and my week with Marilyn she shown her versatility and sensitivity. And when I saw her take a turn starring in the recent Broadway revival of cabaret. She was one of the best sallies. I saw at the round. About theater, and I saw them all and speaking of versatility. Bob Fosse is played by Sam Rockwell who's done terrific work in everything from confessions of dangerous mind and galaxy quest to three billboards outside ebbing, Missouri. In Fosse Verdon these to inhabit their roles, completely and convincingly. The story isn't rolled out sequentially. It starts with the filming of sweet charity and keeps hopping backwards and forwards revealing bits of their past a scene at a time. So I'm not doing any spoiling here by presenting a scene from one after the couple separated, but still seeking support and advice from each other. He visits her after a day working on the movie cavalry. And she welcomes him warmly at first but not for long. Any worries about this drama taking a too easy on the characters are instantly, alleviate cut of the movie? What's wrong with the move? Oh, just to do things. Numbers of flat story doesn't make. There is no story. What is the story? I'm gonna see if they'll let me reassure the whole thing you think spring for. Felt the same way up. You saw the first cut of Jared. You know, so well, I was thinking maybe you could come to the editing room for few weeks. You know, and maybe see some things that I don't see a little lost. And why not? Didn't I tell you? I found a play. Oh, yeah. I'm going to be in rehearsals. Play. Straight plane. Yes. So it's called childrens children to throw a brand new, right? It's a terrific part in the place. Yes phenomenal. Well, that's congratulations. When do you start now is setting up a meeting with the director? I I just wanna make sure we have a good reform. You can start with trust difficult role. You're gonna hate it. I don't know why he would say that to me. And was the last time you act. Now when he walked in the door. How do I do? Very funny FX has made half of Fossey Verdon available for preview that's enough to recommend it highly. But not quite enough to allow for the rendering of a final verdict. I really like that it makes room for some of Fossey's famous friends like Neil, Simon and Patty Tchaikovsky played respectively by cordray and Norbert, Leo Butz. And while I'm intrigued by others. Like, Margaret qualley is an Ryan king. I need to see more to see how this all plays out. That's because Fossey Verdon written and directed by tag team of other producers and executive producers, including Thomas. Gale Stephen Levinson, Joel fields, and Charlotte stout is all over the place emotionally and artistically it recreates scenes from classic stage shows and movies while framing them within a frenetic sometimes fantasy narrative, that's exactly what Bob Fosse himself did while directing the nineteen Seventy-nine movie all that jazz, which was his barely fictionalized story of his own physical breakdown while juggling work on several similar tina's projects this FX series is in Justin. Oh, Majd all that jazz. It plays almost like an expanded director's cut with verdicts half of the story, given equal prominence, but the difference is Bob Fosse's, all that jazz was all Bob, Fosse's vision and voice, and I know how he ended all that jazz boldly and brilliantly with Fosse Verdon. I still haven't seen any. From the Chicago musical or anything else. From the later years yet. I'm very eager to see what Fossey Verdon presents in its second half. Because the first handful of episodes like the musical numbers. They recreate are surging with creativity and excitement, it's Showtime..

"Also had a chance to see native son, which is an adaptation of Richard Wright's nineteen. Forty novel tribe, not read, but as a single film, even you know, divorced from the context in the comparisons to the novel. This movie is very very good. It stars action. Sanders who played the teenage version of Shiran in the light. And man, this guy is legit. He is definitely a young up and coming actor to watch. I mean, if new moonlight didn't tell us that he is really. I mean, he is like the focus of this movie. He carries the entire thing on his shoulders. He's terrific. Margaret qualley from the leftovers is in this Bill camp who appeared in like molly's game. And he was in the night of on HBO. He is in this there. It's got a really solid cast KiKi lane who recently starred in if feels street could talk plays the main character's girlfriend, and she is terrific as well. She I mean, she is here to stay. I think if Bill straight talk was her first movie performance and seen what she can do here in how she's really able to sort of let her. Her hair down at a totally different type of role is very encouraging because I'm I'm excited to see what she does in in years to come as a bright young actress. So the premise of native son is ashen Sanders plays a guy named big Thomas who is a he lives in Chicago. He's got green hair. He's really into punk music. He's sort of defies all of the stereotypes about black people. And he does so in the movie people make steer, you know, make assumptions about him in his character all the time, and he just sort of like rolls his eyes in and lets it roll off his back. But the premise of the movie is that he ends up getting a job as a driver like a chauffeur for a really really rich white family in the north side of Chicago. And they have a progressive teenage daughter who is very like at certain points. She asks him like what do black people think about what's going on in the world..

"Trip to the movies. He is actually a voting member of the critics choice awards and Paul. Thank you for being with us today. Thank you. Thank you for having me today. I really appreciate it. All right. So what do you now about the critics choice awards? What is the biggest takeaway from last night's ceremony? I think the biggest takeaway is that Roma is gonna do really. Well, Oscar was our big winner. Last five won four awards picture back director for. That's the obviously hot Ron. Foreign film. People like I've never heard of Rome out. What is this? What is going on? It's actually a Netflix movie that you can now stream on that spot. It's actually playing creek. Feeder imagine Peter's, willow creek right now, seventy millimeter. That's how I recommend people going to go. See it right now. Okay. So again, it's it's available for you to watch on Netflix. But if you get the chance to see it in the theater, it's going to be a wholly different experience completely. Shot black and white. It's just a stunning. Excellent. So Roma the movie to watch out for at the Academy Awards winning big at the critics choice awards last night. Now, there are some interesting things going on in the actress categories for both film and television last night. We have a I intuitive on category in that film categories for best. Actress Glenn Close down for a why she just won the Golden Globes. And then with our high with lady Gaga for stars born, okay? Oh, no, no, no, go ahead. I'll say what now shows that lady Gaga has a liking this race in that category. Hi, I really thought that they were going to stay calm and Glen Clark. Doc about compass prize funny. I am actually surprised by that. I really would have expected Olympia Coleman to do very well. But apparently not how does a tie happened. Is it literally the same number of people and can't they just have like an odd number. I mean, how does that happen? I mean, I mean there are seven actresses nominated in the category. So I'm not surprised that just the way that six out there's over three hundred voting members. So I this is not unheard looking back at sea TAC award shows, and there is at the critics choice awards interesting. They should maybe do some ranked choice voting. That would be good. Sure makes me copper rank all these ladies and men, and then we saw that happen for Akerson limited series. Movie with? Objects, and then Patricia Arquette. And I think it just shows the caliber odd these projects are like really great Donal. There are also how different performances, well, you know, if you guys are just joining us for tighter pummeled guar Grimes about the critics choice awards that were on last night. Can you give us a little thumbnail because you are actually this is an award ceremony that you are an awards. That is. What are the words that I'm trying to say that you're actually connected to because you're a member of the association. The broadcast critics association doodoo my work on twin cities lied. I guess it'd be. And then when it comes to award season our studios wanna make sure that I see their movies, and they kind of who they wanna see nominated in how to graze, and then that we have a round of voting like about a month ago. We would like to see nominated. Kicked in like. After these movies. And then the nominations come out. And then there's another round of. I want to win in all of our categories. And I only on the movie I don't vote on TV. And do you feel? Paul since you voted for the critics choice awards. Do you feel like you're votes were reflected in last night's winners? I bet most of them are, you know, maybe I would say the people that I voted for went on to win being sad. I really can't argue with a lot of these winners. I mean. For instance, like Margaret qualley fitting both pharmacy performance. So I can't like deny his nomination. That's just want. In the winter like how did that personally that's been garbage movie garbage pharmacy? I said that for the Golden Globes that did not say that for the critics choice award. Well, I guess it shouldn't surprise us that, you know, your fellow critics might be a little bit more critical about gets. Right. And we actually, you know, if you look at the Oscars, we do have a really good predictor rates nine out of the left nine walls. Richard went on to win the Oscar Han. Other twelve actors on the twelfth actresses went on to go win the Oscar. So this is a good starting place. People are a little behind right now. Like what they should see what they want to check out. My her Wanda actors. Both the Golden Globe. Choice. Regina, Keno won both the golden glove. Now, it's interesting there, a shoot did not get a sack nomination and the sad winner usually goes on to win the Oscar. So I'll be curious to see who gets the cycle why this year, and that's the Screen Actors Guild. So that's out actors themselves. Appears. Yeah. All right. But you don't think with Regina king? Now, this is for if Beale street could talk, correct. Correct. Performance phenomenal performance, even though she's not nominated for a sag, and there's but there is precedent for saga award winners to go on to win the Academy Award. But you do you think Regina kings performances that strong where it doesn't necessarily matter? This year. And that gonna be an issue with maybe they didn't get their screen time for a deal street to talk. Maybe the voters didn't get to see them aren't advance where with the kademi now been talk now that she's won a couple of wards. Academy voters? I need to make sure to watch her performing nine and she of everyone mobster. She's coming up people watching the industry actually grown up as a child actor now as an adult actress, she always gets great work. No. You can't go along with Regina king giving you offered her. She I she's just she's an amazing woman, an amazing actor and okay? So next up we have from critics choice next up is it. The sangha words. Award are. The end of January. I believe it's like that. Oscar nominations, come up at twenty seconds. I think awards are actors out. The final Sunday. January fantastic are no doubt. We'll have you on after the sag awards. And of course,.
