"Ring for the evening. Get back just, three hours of magic magic measurement. And finally tonight in Corona of Thorne's nose, nothing offers up more poetic justice than medicine denialism. So we're going to close the headlines off this week with a few choice candidates for the Herman Kane award. But those unfamiliar, that's the work product of a subreddit that celebrates when people who spread COVID misinformation die of COVID and the award is of course named after former Republican presidential candidate former CEO of godfather's pizza and former alive person Herman Cain, who, among other things, really fucked up the die for a lie apologetic when he sacrificed himself to the greater conspiracy theory in July of last year. He's like if Babe Ruth had called his shot and then accidentally beat himself to death with the fact. He's a lot like that. So the first nominee this week is one Marcus lamb, the former head of day star television and by former I mean, he's dead. Of COVID. Of course, yeah, the 64 year old minister ran one of the largest religious networks in the country and thus one of the largest sources of vaccine misinformation in the country. His network proudly featured the likes of Robert Kennedy junior, sherri tenpenny and the anti vaxxer group America's frontline doctors. Lam himself appeared with his wife and his young granddaughter on an episode where they interviewed del big tree the guy who produced backs about how people should do their own research on vaccines. Okay, what do these people think vaccine research scientists are doing when they say they're going to do their own research? What do they think the real science is doing? Just like, but on a lab coat for no reason and jumping on Google. Okay. Good vaccine recipes. Google and stuff is not scientific research. You're not doing that. That's not what you're doing. Not even when you use Google scholar and you're not using Google scholars. Sure. You don't know what Noah just said. You have no idea what he just said. I don't know why this just occurred to me, but do you think anyone's ever gotten on the Internet to do their own research about vaccines and found the truth? Like, do you think anyone's ever been like, well, God, damn.

"Because the very obviously colored in goatee of one Marcus lamb is no longer with us. Oh no. Marcus lamb is the founder and president of day star television network, which is one of the big Christian nut ball networks here in the United States and probably abroad as well. And he's a big deal. And has been for the last year and a half has been warning his listener to his viewers about the dangers of COVID vaccines about the nonsense that is COVID. You know, it's all a right wing. Or it's all a left wing conspiracy. He's been one of these guys. He's a big hydroxychloroquine guy. Ivermectin guy. And just been promoting this thing. Now here's the thing. Yes, he died of COVID this week. Of course he did. Yeah. And not enough of the anti vaxxers are dying of COVID, so I, you know, one doesn't want to celebrate. Someone's death, except I kind of do for him. He was hurting people deeply. Yeah. And I'm glad he's I'm glad he's not able to do that anymore. But lest you think, this is what the reason I wanted to bring this up is because this is the infuriating thing. Before he died, when day star and his family announced that he was struggling with a pretty bad case of COVID, they immediately jumped to a narrative that his people could that their viewers could latch on to. That won't be helpful. Because what we all hope when someone who is a huge anti vaxxer dies of the disease that he is cautioning people to not get vaccinated against. Yeah. Is that people will go, oh, he was wrong. I should go do the opposite thing. That's not all these things. That's not how this plays out. And here's how it does play out. Immediately, as soon as they announced it, his son was out there saying things like this is an attack by the adversary. Oh my God. He succumbed to the adversary? Well, yeah, I mean that you would think that that would also be a thing. That doesn't seem like a good message. Yeah. But that's the thing is that so his son Jonathan said this quote there's no doubt in my mind that this is a spiritual attack from the enemy. As much as my parents have gone on here to kind of inform everyone about everything going on to the pandemic and some of the ways to treat COVID, there's no doubt that the enemy is not happy about that. And he's doing everything he can to take down my dad. This is a guy who has had all of the big players in COVID denial on his shows. Tenpenny lady and yeah, Robert Kennedy junior and Dell big tree is a guy. I don't know who yeah, so like the dirty dozen, I think they call a lot I call them. And that dozen people are responsible for like 90% of the misinformation that's out there. But this guy was also responsible. This guy was perpetuating it just unabashedly putting out a bunch of lies. Oh big tree was the guy that did the film vaxxed, which was pre COVID. Oh my. I think but was about how vaccines are awful. Just the worst. I mean, preventing illness and disease, right? Just wants that. Give me polio back. Please, sir. It's like cool. Yeah, so anyway, one fewer promoter of those things out there in the world. Yeah, but it sounds like family is more than happy to step in and keep it going. Yeah. So his son will inherit this his dad's position. It does make one wonder how many people will this event cause enough cognitive dissonance in that they will and just sort of start looking for other sources and start wondering about things. 'cause it's gotta do it with some folks, right? Right?.

"Hey there folks, welcome back. In our two, we're talking to a friend Kevin McCullough right now we're talking about all kinds of stuff just amongst ourselves. Number one, we want to reiterate our sadness at the passing of Marcus lamb who was the head of day star TV, sad news, but at the same time, I want to reiterate that we believe that Jesus defeated death on the cross. Now, if you don't believe that, that's fine. You can believe whatever you want, but I'm here to tell you it's real and why not believe it. So because it is real. But I also want to say that we had the privilege yesterday in the studio of interviewing Kathy Lee Gifford. She has a new book out. I've known her for many years. It was a very moving beautiful interview and we're gonna air that tomorrow Albin. Yeah, yeah, we're gonna air tomorrow and by the way, folks, it's two hours. It's so great. She talks about her the dust up that she had with Howard Stern. Actually, he had a problem with her. She didn't have a problem with him. And when he finally came and apologized to her in tears, you have got to hear that. It's an amazing, beautiful story. It's a kind of thing you'd make up except it's real and she tells the story it's beautiful. It's really good. So that's tomorrow on this program. I also don't want to forget to mention that we're doing a fundraiser with Christian solidarity international. Now folks, we always think, how can we sweeten the pot? We know that you don't give to get. But we want to encourage you there are people all kinds of people out there with disposable income and you're thinking, hey, what am I going to do for Christmas? Well, here's can I give you an idea? Guys, you ready for this? Yeah. When I was with president Trump, a few months ago, with Sean Foyt, president Trump gave us a couple of these make America great again hats, okay? Now these are these were touched by his hands, okay? I've never seen that before. I only have I only have two of them left. Okay? So Donald Trump gave these to me. Okay. He did not sign them, okay? He signed a couple of hats and then he had to move on with his life. He's pretty busy. But he gave me these hats, and he also gave me the pen. That he used to sign the other hats. So he has used this pen, a special, it says this is his, you know, special Donald Trump signature pen. So we have these hats, we have the pen, okay? Now I can't forge his signature actually, of course I could, but I won't. But what I want to say to people, if you want a crazy special gift for Christmas, you're not going to be able to get this anywhere else, okay? If you give $2500 to CSI, okay? Now, as you know, $250, if you go to the banner at metaxas talk dot com, that freeze a slave in the Sudan sets them up in a life. It's more than just buying them out of slavery. In fact, we don't buy them out of slavery. CSI has a kind of complicated way. They're able to do this. So it doesn't encourage the slavers. That they're going to make money this way. It's complicated. They give them the vaccine for their cattle because that's something that a lot of these fulani tribesmen in Africa need. So the bottom line is when you give $250, you're able to free a slave. It's an amazing thing. So if you do that in somebody's name for Christmas, I want to tell you right now, that's a beautiful thing. And in the dark times in which we're living right now to do a beautiful thing like that with an organization as reputable as it gets, CSI, metaxas talk dot com go to the band. That's an amazing Christmas gift to give somebody. But I want to say that we have literally two of these hats and I will sign with this pen, I will write Merry Christmas or God bless you, Eric metaxas with the Trump pen, okay? And two of these hats. If there's anybody out there who wants to give $2500, you are freeing ten slaves. Can you get this through your head folks that this is not a metaphor? This is real, that CSI has boots on the ground, relationships in that part of the world. They're able to really do this. So a lot of times we say, what can I do? This is so huge. You can do this. Yeah, can I tap in here that's the first two people that give $2500 because there are only two hats. So you have to be the first two. You could also call a number. If you're not online, you could call a number 888-253-3522. Call it right now with $2500 the first two people get the hats signed by Eric with Donald. The president Donald Trump's pen on president Trump's maga hat. Two people in the way. Yeah. I mean, I've only got the two. I can buy these hats, but these are the hats that president Trump gave to me when I was at the bedminster country club with our friend, Sean Foyt, and we videotaped the president. The president gave me these two hats. So these are from his hand to my hands to your hands. He also let me keep the pen that he used to sign the other hats. So I will sign these hats. I will sign my own name just to keep things legal. But I really want to say folks that this is an amazing opportunity to be able to do some.

"The songs you hear on The Rock and roll right here. How about that Alex berenson pretty good, huh? Oh yeah. It was short though. We have to get him back. We have to get him back. Now, our two today we're talking to our buddy Kevin McCullough. I don't know if we can get him in for hour one, but we've got so much stuff to communicate now that we might as well just let's just try to communicate it. First of all, I have to say, really heartbreaking really heartbreaking. I heard yesterday I was shocked that Marcus lamb has passed away. A lot of people listening wouldn't know who he is, but he was someone he and his wife, Joni lam, run day star TV. I've been on their programs many times. They're in the Dallas area. He was relatively young. I really was amazed to hear that at age 64. He passed away from COVID. I guess he had diabetic issues. But just heartbreaking. So if you know who that is, you share my grief and the grief for the lamb family, just had to mention that. I've absolutely amazing to hear that tough news. But let's be positive for a second. We're supposed to believe if you're any kind of a Christian, you believe Jesus defeated death. And I always want to say this because I think I was just reading yesterday where the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. He asks Lazarus sisters. He says, I am the resurrection and the life. He believes in me will never die. And he says to them, do you believe this? And I thought, that is this Sunday when I preach in San Diego. I'm going to use that as my text, because that's the question. Life is hard. There's death all around us that do we believe that Jesus defeated death? Do we believe that if we believe in him, we will never die? That's the really the only question that matters in life. If you really think about it. And when I read that, it just pierced my heart when I read that line where Jesus is asking his sweet Friends, Mary and Martha, do you believe this? Anyway, it's got me choked up and so I want to say that when you hear about somebody like Marcus lamb passing at age 64 on the one hand, it's heartbreaking and it's shocking. On the other hand, you say, wait a minute. We, those of us who believe in the God of the Bible, we believe that Jesus actually defeated death. It's not a metaphor. It's not a nice idea. And I think we have to ask ourselves, do we really believe it? Or do we say we believe it or do we hope we believe it? We need to believe it. And I think that I've been doing all these interviews around the new book is atheism dead this morning I was on with governor Huckabee. And I think this is ultimately the question. Do you believe that the Bible is true? Do you believe God is real? Do you have to really, I think that when things aren't tough, we are all able to kind of kick the can down the road on whether we really, really, really believe these things. But when things get tough when you're facing death when you're facing utter chaos as we are in the United States and every level, you're forced to think, do I really believe this? And I want to encourage people that it's not an issue whether you believe it. The issue is it is true. So then the question is, do you know it's true? So I didn't mean to go there, but just when I think about Joni lam losing Marcus at such a young age, I mean, the only you get, the more you realize, like, 64. That's not the age you're supposed to die. What's going on there? So I just thought I wanted to mention that they're just the sweetest people, privilege to know them. I was going to segue, you mentioned truth. You know, preaching on truth, do you believe? I know we're not really a new show or sort of a hybrid, but we don't often do news retractions. And I wanted to bring up a totally unrelated off topic, news retraction. We got a lister email from Athena whose last name I won't mention, but she wanted to know about, I guess I wasn't on the show, but you mentioned that I was off on a bike trip, Lake Lake county. I was left all alone. This is, I don't know, a month ago, what was this? I was left all alone. You were gone, Alban was gone. You know, usually if Alban has to go, you can fill in. I was all alone. And so I made up I guess you could call it a lie, a white lie a fib, and I said that the two of you were taking a you were on a tandem bicycle going through the Lake district or the Cotswolds or something. That's right. The special, you are an especially bike tour. Just the two of you working on your relationship. Now, to be clear, the Lake district, that's the United Kingdom. Is that yeah, England? Of course. Yeah. Of course. I take a bike trip around Massachusetts. No, no, no. You want to go to England? Yeah. I was actually in New Jersey, doing no such thing at the time, I believe. So we need to retract that because that wasn't true. Because I had made the sardine sandwiches or something that they like over there for the trip. I think you mentioned I had a parasol or something in the basket, maybe not. I don't remember anything. Anyway, I guess this is our confused way of telling people that we actually got a letter from a woman who believed my silly story and who really did think that the two of you were on a bike journey together working on your relationship in the Lake district in England. And yeah, I said something that Alban had packed a picnic lunch and they were scones and clotted cream and it was really beautiful and stuff and of course I was joking, but we have people who write us letters and some of these people they're either not listening carefully or they don't know my sense of humor..

"Because facts matter You want a thing to know what you see PT 8 20 Confirmed cases as of yesterday was 205 in 18 countries and just this morning that's gone up to 226 in 20 countries And I think you're going to expect to see those numbers change rapidly importantly that has not yet been detected in the United States It has been called a crime by the WHO and it was named as the 5th of the SARS CoV-2 variants of concern See he went with a Macron everyone else is going with ulcer crime Actually I think he said ami Kron Which is not correct Okay That's a Saxon More importantly I save two texts Unvaccinated travelers over the age of 12 won't be able to board a plane or a train in Canada beginning today and a negative COVID test will no longer serve as substitute for most people Hey there's a good idea Jesse Rodriguez tweets there were no COVID related deaths yesterday in New York City I believe they hit three days Vaccination rate is over 90% I wonder if there's any what's the word Connection And our friend doctor Irwin red Leonard doctor doom said The White House wants to control spread of omara by travel bans and increase testing not enough Nobody should be allowed to board a plane anywhere going to any destination without being vaccinated plus tested before departure I don't think I've ever agreed with Jim Cramer before But he went off on it And he demands the Biden Biden imposed a nationwide vaccine mandate Do you know the rules in other countries I mean stupid freedom to have guns and infect each other with COVID Well succeed in killing all of us at some point Seriously like the lockdowns and stuff they're doing in other countries This is insane It is insane They're absolutely should be a nationwide mandate Okay Oh here's good news for Chris who's the head of the hurry up and die caucus Sure The bloodthirsty liberal caucus Hugh says hey Steph remember that evil day star televangelist reverend Marcus lamb who had to return almost $4 million in PPP loans because he purchased a private jet and he called vaccine mandates a synagogue God Well he's dead I guess how he died Uh COVID Yes God's sake Just die Yes he was spreading his anti vaccine nonsense until he just died You're COVID Okay all right Hey that's a cheery opening to our friends Now we interrupt this program to bring you a special broadcast You're cute I love you I'm just calling us from Washington Just follow the money Hi bob it's out to our bike day can you hear my shirt Is it loud enough Yeah you know I speak bike I was so happy to see that you're wearing that shirt because of safety That's a safe shirt to wear Thank you And I'm triple vaccinated And I've had COVID It looks good and it keeps you safe No one's gonna miss that So speaking of which Matt Walsh tweeted we should on the con to spread It's a mild cold Here we go again It's a mild version of COVID to get from the sound of it Why should we try to contain it Shouldn't we want it to become the dominant strain or am I using too much common sense here And you said then go ahead and expose yourself Test positive and report back to us I mean we're going to have the same level of idiocracy of COVID on this as well aren't we Absolutely In fact gutfeld gutfeld was saying the same thing I had to I have to emphasize this because he yells everything And she is the human version of my shirt Well he also has an exclamation point at the end of his name on show Maybe we should try that Yeah Stephanie Welcome to Stephanie Okay That's right So when you say gutfeld you have to yell Yeah Anyway he was saying the same thing on a show the other day and astonishes me is that not only the irresponsibility of saying something like that Hey look this is a great idea to go out and get it Then it'll be natural immunity You won't die So you'll be fine That is I mean the liability risk of that statement alone is immense How do they think that they could get away with this and not be eventually vaccinated Yeah Yeah Do you feel like this latest televangelist that television millions with anti vax nonsense Does it impact them at all That he just died of COVID Does this ever move the needle It doesn't seem like all the right wing radio hosts and preachers anti vaxxers that have died so far have right I mean we're still at 58th in the world and vaccinating being vaccinated And one thing I don't understand I've been touting it 80% number right But that's one I don't understand We just lazy the people only get one shot I mean at this point that's obviously you know what I mean You really need three shots at this point if you're mRNA right Right right You know I was talking with a doctor red Leonard doctor doom on my show before the break I had him on my show He was I asked him I asked him directly I said is there a possibility that there's just this more significant phobia that we anticipated a phobia of getting a shot There are just maybe they're just a lot of people in this country who are afraid of needles And they're using all kinds of other nonsense to excuse the fact that deep down they just don't want to get the ouchie They just don't want to have a needle plunged into their shoulder And doctor red Leonard was like you know that's actually a really good possibility I mean that may be the case with so many people Maybe we need to start offering grown-ups lollipops Maybe as good or something Give me 18 or maybe as Kayleigh McEnany said with no sense of irony yesterday maybe it's because But at the end of the day no one has politicized this virus more than president Joe Biden You have to ask for an incident there You have Kamala saying on the campaign trail Donald Trump tells me to take the vaccine I won't take it You had Biden mimicking that rhetoric Then they get into office Yay take the vaccine That should have been the message back on the campaign trail as well On travel restrictions Trump's xenophobic for this And now all of a sudden travel restrictions work Are you sensing a pattern here Because you should No one's politicized COVID more than Joe Biden is what Kayla McEnroe Right Yeah Yeah We're talking the opposite now We're doing the I know you are but what am.

"Show all these plans. Pbs fact grade but it was very it was actually very pleasant. Shooting indoors is more of a challenge. Obviously so we but we tried to find really big spaces that we could still then at then shooting reconnaissance a whole different kettle of fish again like but we just socially distanced daughter actors zahle which is because so it was interesting because i think like i was about probably halfway through and there was To present Was interviewing someone and it just struck me suddenly that there was this distance between them. And so you know. I got about halfway through before. It even dawned on me that it might have been shosh eh during lockdown. So yeah it's not impacted us for the viewer in any way And i had to ask you like the before we started recording hat to ask you just to to be sure because you you you couldn't you couldn't tell such you mentioned the reconstructions So Marcus lamb plays at turns mcsweeney. Yes and you know. Obviously the podcast is called acting related So i think it's you know it's interesting i was. I was doing a quick bit research. Them before i got onto to find out a bit more about Dramatic reconstructions and when they started when people started them. Because i mean you hardly ever see a a documentary. These days that doesn't actually feature actors in a reading that apparently they started using them in nineteen eighty s. And it was. It was a documentary. That i've heard of can't save ever watched it. I think it was the thin blue line. I think it was. Apparently he was the one who introduced them and caused a furor. Introducing them as well But yeah how do you i guess. How do you find the difference between directing the dramatic reconstructions verses is there. Is there a huge separation between the two parts of documentary the reconstructions and the kind of more interview based material there shouldn't be because they should all be in the service of the same story growing up like it absolutely. You know like everything. You should should be in the service of that story. You're trying to tell. And they're they shouldn't be so separate that they feel like separate entities. They should be flip flipside of the same coin or two halves of the same hole. Otherwise you're not keeping track of your story properly as a director. You're not keeping track of your your content so i always everything i should always match up to the blueprint half of my head of. What's the story. I'm trying to tell. Does this fit fit into the story. If it doesn't why am i shooting us And constitutes into harrogate everything that you shoot in that way. But i suppose the difference for me is yeah. I love working with actors. I it's almost like it's almost like i go. Yeah every time. I get to see reconstruction the party disconnect today talking with excitement the idea of shooting reconstruction. I just adore them. And i endorse you. Can we constructions door working with actors. And so it's almost like the tweets when you've gotten through all the the hard work the rest of the documentary and then i get to go shoot my my my lovely reconstructions. They sometimes can be. I mean sometimes the subject matter is are not really that lovely casino shoot grim stuff. But i do you know to be but at the same time Yeah there's something about reconstructions that i love. I love process office and do because you.
