"Don't even have time. But it feels like this is really important Possessions for Ohio State. His kicks off 13 years ago in the now appeared much needed by Mario McCall about two yards deep in the end zone. 1 48 2 timeouts. Left for Ohio State. Justin Fields back on track, They really have nobody proven behind him. He's the only quarterback. I've spent the past this season for the Buckeyes. He needs to pick it up because right now, if they don't score here, Alabama gets the ball in half. Like I just alluded to. It doesn't appear at the moment. But the Buckeyes defense has any answer for what the Crimson tide or doing offensively, So they have to have points here at a two minute drill 366 yards of offense in the half for Alabama out of the pistol in the hand off fields to Marcus, probably for short game tripped up by buying branch and safety. Up near the line of scrimmage. The Buckeyes. Really not in any big hurry. Do Line up quickly Think for the way Alabama's scoring. You need to try to take advantage of every time you have the ball. You also don't want to go three. Give the ball right back. Alabama three time outs on 2nd and 74 Man Rush Field pulls it down, avoids a couple of rushes and goes ahead for about a four year old game. But there is a flag down Kris Allen, another tackles and a nice first half. The linebacker, not a bad Rouge, Louisiana center judge threw the flag holding offense number 55 10 yard penalty. It's second down. Matthew Jones, left guard who stepped in in the semifinal against Munson. When Harry Miller was out there is a way positive, perfect test. I am Jones played so well, they said, We're gonna start him again tonight, even though Miller is available, and he grabbed ahold of Christian bar more than a handful all night long. So the penalty brings the ball back inside the 20 to the 18 yard line against probably running back containing they trace him and one carry for Ohio State injured his shoulder has not returned hand off. Probably he's ahead for about to stop me Now. You wonder if Alabama start using time outs with third down and 10 Well, Anderson made to play their help. FILM Mathis There is a stoppage in play because there's an injured Ohio State Buckeye. It's the all American Guard. Why it Davis True from Bellflower, California All American for the second year in a row, one of the best guards in the country? Thanks. The one running from Pace Award is the top offensive lineman in the Big 10 when I was a little guard very often hope he's okay. That kind of bunched up there. In between the tackles as they tried to enter on the left side and Kind of grabbing towards his left leg. He was laying on the ground, so hopefully he's okay as it gets tended to by the Buckeye medical stuff. The clock stopped 54 seconds to go in the half. Ohio State facing third down and 14 And trailing 35 to 17. Vontae Smith 12 catches 215 yards and three touchdowns. Nagy Harris is run for score and caught a touchdown pass and Mack Jones is Mack Jones 20 to 25 for 3 19. And four touchdowns. He could come back next year. Most people believe this would be it from that. Jones, who like Joe borrow a year ago, seemingly went from off everybody's radar for the night or the NFL. To playing his way into a first round draft choice. Yeah, and certainly feels as though that stock is only elevating. And if you look at some of the throws, he pulls off training tonight. Most of the throws have been at or around the line of scrimmage, but the two or three times he's been asked to drive the ball down the field. Deadly accurate on some of those throws. So you can see why a lot of NFL scouts really like what they've seen for Mack Jones, least over the course of 2020 seasons. Lot of concern now on the Ohio State side about this injury, the Wyatt Davis lobby offense nearby of the medical staff is attending to him. Again. Here's the young man. This could be his last college game, and he certainly top NFL prospect is an offensive lineman would hate to see you get injured in his last college game. If that's what this is, paper seemed get injured in any time. He still flat on his back. Now was he's being helped up. It's taking to Ohio State trainers to about them off because his arm around the shoulder Each of those trainers Theater replay. Was Davis can engage with the inside linebacker Moses And then Moses shed him to make the tackle on a couple of bodies fell on the back of the left leg of Wyatt Davis, and he was reaching for his left knee is braces on both of those news. And he's grimacing as they help them off. Doesn't look like he's going to return based on what we're seeing so Number one running back on and your best offensive linemen gone and they're down by 18 in the final minute of the first half. Certainly has not been a good 1st 30 minutes for the Buckeyes as far as injuries of concern, Harry Miller, who had started most of your left darkens the right guard now for third down, and 14 3 wide receivers allow. They singled up too, right. Port side of the field. Ball knew the right hash mark. He's being covered by Patrick's A team ran a hand off his team. Marcus Crowley up committal conservative call Well Anderson, the outstanding freshman and on the tackle with Brian Ray, Back in action, a defensive end tonight. He's missed a lot of years with an elbow injury, played in six games in this six at Alabama will use that time out. Still have to with 49 seconds to go in the half leading 35 to 17. And if history is any indicator 49 seconds, they will certainly be able to move the football. Taken repeat any of magic that they've created here in the 1st 29 minutes and 11 seconds Mack Jones deadly accurate. They still have two timeouts in their possession. May, of course, have uncover a ble Devante Smith on the perimeter. But so far the Buckeyes about absolute no answer for.

"A little bit high Master chief tried to throw one hand of couldn't reel it in. That's one Justin Fields would love to have back Why Davis out There is a block with Kat, it 2nd and 10. Here comes the blitz. Field steps up throws deep into traffic, and it's been complete, really broken up by Garrett Wilson along Our side won the left sideline. Because better position was Brian Branch, the true freshman poised to pick it off, Aaron, listen, really broke up that play that little slot fade. Looked as though the ball was under thrown pretty considerably by Justin Fields. Now just five of 14 throwing the football. You gotta wonder if those ribs were affecting his accuracy. Marcus Crowley, who's not even listed on there, too deep isn't running back down the right field who steps up against the four man Rush dumps it off for Crowley. He has a catch, but attacking immediately from behind by Christian hairs. For a short game at 27 Yard line. Maybe 28 now time out, has been called. Believed by Alabama or is it a flag? Stop the play. It is a flag. It was a flag Alabama was trying to get Player off the field. It looked like they might have had 12 on the field. He didn't get there in time. It's just a matter of whether it was 12 or 11 that was trying to run off. There's no foul on the play for too many men on the field, the 11th player who ran off It's what it looked like, because Ohio State had a guy that was uncovered some clearly a miscommunication by Alabama. Good job by the officials cleaning it up Jalen Armored Davis of backup defensive back spinning this island. He was still in the field in a snap. If it is the referee, Brandon crucial. Apparently, they played that down with 10 men After he run off you can do that's not always a good idea wouldn't recommend it. Is drew Christmas Punch. Still playing time for Alabama to score more senior punter takes a good snap steps into it. On drives it high and deep. Dante Smith backpedal. 22 avoids several men picks up some blocks near sideline across the 35 spun around and down near the 40 yard line. It was Cody Simon and Dave attacking for Ohio State, but a nifty run back by Devante Smith Problem back 84 for a touchdown against Arkansas this year. No, no Game, said last week, 11 days ago in the semifinal. We're just not gonna pump the ball to Devante Smith 19 Yard return. Four Devante into your point, Greg Way, said Early on, Justin feels that it could have a big night for Ohio State. He's two for his last nine. And that's just not gonna cut it. Several of those rose way off the mark. Not even really giving his receivers an opportunity. Ball on the 40 left hash mark in here Has Mark Mack Jones out of the gun for man rise, They set up a screen to the right, Harris. He's across the 45 50 that's inside and gets taken down from behind by Josh Proctor at the 45 Yard Line of Ohio State. Another great call by Steve Sarkisian. No worries about him. Being distracted in his last game is offensive coordinators. He gets ready to be head coach at Texas and to me, I think we both agree. That's a great higher for the Longhorns question. He has a step ahead of everything. Ohio State's doing defensively at the moment. 205 to go in the half Alabama leading 28 17 in Buckeye territory again. There's a linebacker puts up the middle Jones and other screen technology Harris right this time, well played by the boxes. He was bounced out of bounds by Jonathan Cooper. After a short game gain of about three they were down to 1 55 to go in the half. Home started doing a lot of books is now man. Steve Sarkisian, Countering the screen passes. He's got to do something right now. Mac Jones, 21 24 to 77. Clearly they can't cover Devante Smith. He already has nearly $175. He split. To the left side of the field on second and seven Jones steps in the pocket. Deep down the middle Open man is divine tastes more touchdown. He was behind the linebacker. Tough bordering drop back and this time to run with Smith. I guess there was some sort of zone coverage didn't work. On Devante. Smith has his third touchdown of the night. His trap catch. He has 215 yards. They were not even a halftime yet just amazing. Throw right there from Mack Jones, identifying that zone coverage. Cover three. You get your best receiver lined up with the number three. He's crossing the field from left to right. We throw on two yards outside the right hash with nothing but Green grass in front of the Heisman Trophy winner he is putting on a show here in the first half of this football game, poised in his really the best performance of his career in the national championship game, will write her dad's The extra point. It's 35 to 17. Alabama had scored 35 points or more in 24 straight games. That was the all time FBS record longest such streak. Was snapped by Notre Dame in a semifinal when they settled for 31 points and 31 to 14 win over the IRS. They made sure they got to 35 tonight. They did it in less than a half. It's a large part because Mack Jones and his accuracy downfield, but there's been absolutely nothing that Ohio State's done so far to limit the van to Smith's impact in the game of shock. It's been 10 days. You know, this guy's the best player in called football, He can't continue to play zone and not have an answer for some of the priest that motions Knowing that that's gonna be impossible for your defenders to line up against. It's. It's really been a performance for the ages. So far from Steve Sarkeesian, disappointing one that we've seen from the Buckeye defense. It's been so sound of playing well of late..

"In on Tuesday morning, and we'll have all your best Buckeye coverage for Alive States National championship game appearance against Alabama and let's go to the phones because Jim, one of our bucks line regulars, who we hope to be seeing face to face next year. Has been waiting on hold for about 20 minutes. Jim, how you doing? A great man. Thanks so much for having us this week. We were hoping last week. You might have done it before the the Sugar Bowl. But then she didn't When you announce it for this week, we thought all man great. Mr. This is wonderful. I'm glad that we're able to do it. There's a lot of stuff that went into prior to the game. Just know that we're sorry. We couldn't be with you. But anyway, what's on your mind? Well, you talked earlier about trade sermon and what a turnaround he's been, which is absolutely amazing, but I heard today. Ah, staff. That was just you talk about amazing out of his last 70 carries. He's got a 9.1 average. Yeah. Her. Carrie, That's amazing. I mean, that's absolutely because there's been a few times he's been slammed at the line so but I mean, amazing again. A 9.1 out of 70 carries and then obviously with master take her. We've been seeing a lot of that. Myron Williams. Who? That true freshman in there? That guy absolutely amazes me. You talk about somebody who has the power of Teague. And has the cutting ability of trade sermon. He doesn't go down easy and he can cut and he doesn't run people over, But he can if he needs to, but he can also make up. And when you when you look at having him back next year Myron Williams, Plus the two guys that we've got feel Chambers, and I can't remember the other guy that got hurt last year at Morgan's Crowley Yes, Marcus Crowley. Plus the two guys that are coming in the top running manderson recreation. Yep. Yeah, about a stable of running backs. Tony Alford is not gonna have enough. Football's the hand after this. Don't have to expand the room table. That was not for the egos for the bodies. Yeah, Absolutely. But what are your thoughts about Myron Williams? I mean, what a great situation to be in with all the talent, but What do your thoughts about him? Who ever thought he would even get a carry this year? Yeah, you know, Jeff in terms of Mayan Williams The trust that they might first reaction. Jim and you guys talk about this, the trust they must have in him because he's barely played this year and all of sudden, like the Big 10 championship game when their spelling trace sermon, he's in there and he ran super hard ran over, guys, You know, national semifinal of, you know, they give sermon a break and he goes out there and has two carries and runs over guys. The trust Jeff that they must have in him. They must see something in practice, And I think we're seeing it that this kid has a bright future. I think what people Mrs. These coaches do the analysis Monday through Friday. You know there are practice players. There are game players, but to have trust in somebody in that situation. You better be a practice player. You better give that coach the comfort and trust that you can go in there and not pee down your leg. And this kid was an ad on recruit. This wasn't a five star kid that they were trying to get. He was just kind of Ah. Last second. You're not to walk on your better net. So come on. We'll see what happens. There was no chances. Kid was going to contribute this year. And look what what happened And what a great opportunity for that young man and I think he is extraordinarily talented. Yeah, And, you know, he's like 59, but careful. There's nothing wrong with that. Like white junker like Jeff Logan, Billy runs with power like at that at that size. Yeah, I just don't see it, do they? Yeah. Yeah, it is outside his helmet, says Brunswick because this guy's a bowling ball. I'm not Kenya. I mean, he will run over you, but he's got good speed. He could make us but let's face it, guys. Why was he able to do that?.

"Let's get to the show back or do you do what everybody else does. Create some shit on the wall and see what sticks which everywhere why are we adding signing man. When my time on earth is gone activities here are fast I once? They bury the upside down in. My critics been kissed by all right. Here we go minutes in the morning. Thank you for joining us. I want to start off by just explaining what this show is going to be and I kind of already hinted to it. It's going to be more about. It's going to be about sports. Don't get me wrong. We're GONNA talk football. We're GonNa Talk College Football. We're GONNA talk. Current events in all sports are also GonNa Talk Buckeye athletics especially with my background and now the Curtis grants going to be on. We're going to bring his knowledge into it. So don't don't think that we're going to get away from sports at all. But it's going to be far less analytical for more conversational and the other thing we're to talk about is is as seeing as I'm started this company. I've actually started to companies and now I'm trying to drive these two companies and not spread myself too thin. I want to share that process with the listeners. I also want to share just regular life experiences that I've had a lot like we're doing a locked up episodes which is the next episode will come out this weekend. The locked up episodes are coming out kind of share my life experiences. So it Curtis grants gotTa do the same. He started his own company. He's going to share his struggles. His successes kind of just give you give you some stories. Give you some entertaining stuff to talk about. And then we're also going to going to move into some other funny things to do some prank calls so I wanna put it out there. I'm a prank call specialist. I did it when I was a coach. We used to do it if you ever watch. I Know Patriots. Subscribers got to watch the video. The hometown hero videos that we didn't recruiting I'VE PRANK CALL PEOPLE AS A. Hey how you doing? My Name's Jim Greenlee. I was calling because I'm from greer. South Carolina is my my my alter ego Jim Greenlee. So where did you so prank calls? If you got anybody you WANNA prank call prank. Call Your Wife your husband your sister your kid your boss. It doesn't matter. Hit US up prank calling. We could set it up. We want to do some funny things. Be Savage with it. So we're GONNA. We're GONNA do that every now and then it's going to be a much lighter show so I wanted to give you kind of insight into this this platform and it's a work in progress. So we're going to really really focus on just doing something fun. This is going to be something fun. As opposed to something more more serious more analytical more serious this is what it is so the first thing I want to do just talk. A little update had a number of conversations with some very very important people that I'm not GonNa name my my people's my connections but just talking about Ohio state. I know we're going to have a kind of I'm waiting until they actually play real football and I know they have spring spring break next week. I know cleanses underway. We're GonNa Bring Anna Henke back. Get her thoughts on Clemson spring. Thus far we're going to bring on another special guest to be named to talk about Ohio State Spring but I'm GonNa give you my perspective on what I see in the returning team what I hear and have seen. Outta them this spring. And then also you know my concerns and Like I said we're going to do a full mid spring recap probably in two weeks or maybe three weeks depending on how the calendar lays out once they put pads on a play real football but I want to talk about the Buckeyes for a minute. That's what I'm most knowledgeable about. And obviously they're going to start on offense. I think the big the big. Here's the big question mark as we go into the big question. Mark on offense is the running back position. And I've I've not been hidden my feelings on it. I don't believe that the running the Buckeyes have a running back. That is an elite caliber. Running back I know. Tony offers a phenomenal football coach. He will definitely get the most out of those guys but losing out on Bijon Robinson and going back. I'm not going to go through the history but but we've lost out on a lot of big time big time back since. Jk Dobbins and not getting a big time back coming off the year. Jay had was a huge with for Ohio state. And it's definitely a major concern. So that's the big concern. People are going to talk to you a lot about Marcus. Crowley about what steel chambers can bring. They're going to talk to you about master teague and how how a strong he looked when he played. But here's all I'm going to tell you the feeling is that it's not just me. It's people that know what they're talking about and no more than anyone else you listen to. There's not a running back on this roster that can be an elite running back. Nobody has seen it. I'm not saying it couldn't happen. It couldn't something magical. Couldn't have him. Mickey Morality might just just absolutely perform a miracle. I've seen it. I've seen it happen so it could happen. But what is on the roster right now? At the level performance they play at the played at at the level of development. They have hit. There is not an elite running back. I'm sorry people could call me a Buckeye home or but I'm gonNA keep it real with you all day all teams. There's not a great running back. That's the biggest concern the run game and the second concern not the second concerned but what I think is the most important thing here is what a debut opportunity for Corey Dennis to develop Justin field even further because he was a really really really good player. I'M NOT GONNA say it was a great player last year. He was a really good player. He the development from last spring practice. One two this year spring practice one is astronomical. It's a different. It's a different kid. I watch the practice film and that is a different player. You would if you cut on both practices and watch them back to back you would. It would be hard for you to convince me it was the same kid but it is and so what an opportunity for Corey Dennis. Not only because he has probably the heisman. Frontrunner of odds in front of me. I know he was up. There I think is hammer. Trevor Lawrence is the front runner to my knowledge. And obviously the two quarterbacks of the two best teams with the most hype at this point which doesn't matter but he corey Dennis. First Time full time coach he has primed and ready for the job. And here's what's really cool and I mean it's it's going to be a a a boomer bust make or break year for just fields of Corey Dennis. Because they're going to have to throw the shit out of the ball they really are. Ryan has the playbook for it Ryan Day. Has the experience doing it? They have the quarterback for it and Corey. Dennis is going to have to do. I mean you're talking about. This is a million dollars a year for Corey Dennis. First Year first year position. Coach has a heisman candidate and if he can develop Justin fields and coach Justin Fields. And if that kid can win the heisman trophy throwing the football the way that they're going to need him to Corey. Dennis will be the Hottest Name and coaching at twenty. Whatever years old it will be ridiculous and what they have on offense right now and Ryan. Oh my God. Is he building a staff? They have two of the hottest young. If that happens they'll have two of the probably the two. How does young coaches in the country and Brian? Harlin Corey Dennis. I mean stupid. And the guy that if you didn't listen to go back and listen to g Scott Senior talked about him. The guy that will be beliefs talked about most important person right. He's not going to be talked about a ton but he's going to provide more impact than anyone will ever know is Keenan Bailey. Who's working with Corrie Denison the quarterback? He'll help art line with the receivers. Those three are three of the strongest younger generation coaches in America so Ohio state has to feel good about the pass game because they have youth they have energy coaching. They have Ryan days expertise but make no mistake about it. The run the running back position is in complete panic mode and I'm not talking injuries. We could talk injuries to. They have a lot of injuries. Then are even even more concerning but you look at it. The receiver position is going to be loaded. They're going to be young shit. Chris Alavi is going to be the junior. The two guys the older guys. That haven't really done anything or Jalen Harris and Elijah Gardner and we'll see what they can provide and what steps they can take. They are finally ready to play. And I think the heart and soul of this group that again people won't talk about is as long as he gets another year but even if he doesn't probably stay on and and and coach or whatever he's going to do is CJ SAUNDERS CJ played a lot. When I was coaching receivers which now is what two seasons two years ago. Cj comes back gets healthy gets his sixty year. That kid is going to drive that room. That's how he lied of a human being he is so that's going to be the senior leadership. And then you have. Chris Alava is a junior and this will probably be his last year. And then obviously Garrett Wilson has a lot of a lot of hype around his name but then you talk about some young guys camera babb if he can get healthy. Looks like a Greek God. And he's skillset is as good as anyone on this entire roster and it's obviously the young kids the freshmen. The kids at just walked there. Jason Williams don't forget about Jamison Williams. I mean this is Ted Ginn reincarnate. Two Point Oh if he can just develop immature so they're going to have a lot of options that receiver those four young kids. We're GONNA get into the them in in more depth than a couple when we do the recap or the mid spring recap. But they're they're going to be loaded now that tight end positions the other one that should be loaded on offense. I mean Luke. Feral and Jeremy Record should be the two of the best tight ends of the country. They need to improve In Pasco Luke. Ferro was a really good in the run game. Jeremy Record was really good in the past game. If they both can complement each other has a chance to be really really solid and then Kate Stover. It's going to be awesome to watch him play tight end. I'm really excited about it. He is the body type. Reminds me of Sam Hubbard for those that? Don't remember that story. Sam Hubbard came in. Didn't have a position Tom. Herman fought like hell to get him as a tight end because he thought he could be an all American tight end and ultimately Mike Raval one and got him as a de. Lima urban decided to make him a D. Lineman and the rest is history. Obviously great player. Great D. Lineman playing for the bengals but the offense did not lose this battle for Kate's Dover. So it's going to be exciting to watch him. I tied into going to be really solid. I know they lost guys but I think they'll be better at right tackle. The it'll be interesting to see who takes that guard spot in the end but I'm really excited about it and the defense I think is is going to be more suspect than people know. I'm worried about the secondary. I'm worried about the safety position. People don't realize how important Jordan Fuller was to that defense so I'm worried about it. I'm worried about the safety position. I'm worried about opposite. Sean Wade. The linebacker position should be improved. They Lost Malik Hairston which is a big loss. He's an athletic freak that that made a lot of plays but with the emergence of guy that gave on pope if a guy like Roger Mitchell can come along and then or even a Dallas Game. I know is looked like he gained some weight which is Great. And then a the the the the two white boys Pete Warner and tough Borland Will improve for sure. And maybe Justin Hill. Your kid can provide some some impact at the linebacker position but anyways the last position obviously is the line position and and for whatever reason I think because I know the talent they brought in and I know how big of a Stud Larry Johnson is. I just never have any concern about the defensive line. You just know. They're going to be good so I wanted to give you a quick update but on a pecking order. I'm so excited to watch what Cory Dennis does with Justin feels. I'm so excited to watch these young receivers. I am terrified. Who's GONNA play running back in this offense and the real problem is they're going to be successful in the big ten play maybe not Oregon but outside of the Oregon game? They're going to be successful in these games. Face where your house state master teachers are running back? He's going to have success against these teams but when it comes time to play a big boy he's not gonNA provide the impact that jk. Dobbins did that Travis at the end. Does it Clemson that the Andrea Swift did at Georgia? I mean he's not that level of back and they don't have a guy that is that's just the reality so anyways I want to give you a quick update. What I'm hearing what? I've seen my concerns before doing a full on breakdown of this football team in Columbus and also this football team and clubs in South Carolina because that is the hot button item right now that semi-final rematch is looking to be the two best teams in the country. Which we all know will change. We all know that will change Alabama. We'll be right back into makes Georgia talking about Florida. It looks really really solid so way too early. Top Do Right. Clemson Ohio State. So we're we're going to give you a real in depth..

"We have jeff from Jacksonville. Jeff thank you for calling in the pleasure. Thanks for having collapsed so what what kind of question you got today Jeff. So looking to next year I know we lose three of the four starting. DB's and person's face on the front. How how do you think the defense could could be next? Roughly probably the worst kept secret of Kerry comes. uh-huh coming back is actually true. I think it's going to be a huge higher because you're looking you're going to replace two corners and I know the the big talker. Sean Wade moving outside which will certainly make it a lot easier. But but you're going to need someone that can develop guys in none better than Kerry combs if you look at his track record in history so I think it's really gonNA come down to what what what they can do you in the secondary. I mean that's that's obviously the biggest unknown. I think the D line is deep enough and they will do enough on defense to absorb the loss of chase young we actually. We just talked about that a little bit ago and one of the callers and so it's going to be interesting. I I think Kerry coming back. It'll be a big deal but I really liked the young kids. They're going to have obviously Veasley Sean Wade but then you have guys like Cameron Brown. Who played a bunch this year? I think it's going to have a great off season. And then you look at guys like Josh proctor. Who I'm most excited about kind of take that Predator role in the secondary almost me hooker ish and then it's really gonNA come down to WHO's that WHO's that fourth or potentially fifth guy? They're gonNA play Is it Marcus Hooker. Does he have a great off. Season seven banks house. He how's he going to develop this off season and then are these young guys gonNA come in and and show that they're ready to play right away way. I mean I think the linebacker position should be pretty solid. I think the D line obviously with Larry Johnson is going to be outstanding always and so. I think they got a chance to really do USA do some. I guess have the same consistency on defense that we haven't seen until this year. You know entrepreneur thinking I so do you think we stick with that three corner one high safety. We think we go back to normal too high to corner now. I think that one high defense. This is really here to stay. I think that's what Ryan Day really wants. That's why he brought in Jeff F. Lee and I think it's going to stay consistent and Greg Madison has been around every type of defense imaginable as Carrie combs and carry combs GonNa bring a Lotta NFL experience in the whatever year to he's been with the titans to really implement some things that they're doing it at that level that we might be able to do it. Ohio state so it's GonNa be cool to see the the scheme and I'll tell you this. The one thing they will do is they're gonNA make whatever personnel they have worked for them on defense so whatever their personnel does best. They're going to do if it's pressman pressman. If it's often one is zone. Then it's one is zone. I think it's what Ryan wants to do and I think it's what we're going to watch This this coming fall for sure Muslim also trying to wonder if Toronto Mitchell's GonNa take that starting spot from talk. I know I know didn't do it this year. I know it's it's probably not a senior this year but it's going to be an interesting battle for that middle linebacker. Yeah it definitely is and I think. I think there's going to be a lot of question marks on who's GonNa play where in that linebacker core because you have guys like cave on pope who's young and athletic to Raja. Obviously who I talked about preseason is one of the best linebackers they had. I think he just needs to mature a little. Didn't get on the field. And then you have guys like Barron Browning Justin Hilliard Pete Warner you got a bunch of guys to surround tough in that competition so it'll be interesting to see how they play them in. Where are they play them? And how they protect them protect their weaknesses. You know switching to elephants who do besides you know maybe the in the August ones like maybe like a Jackson Smith and Gigolo or Jillian Fleming. Who Do you see having a breakout? Your like Jason Williams. Maybe came in Bab Bob. If he's healthy. Yeah I think. There's there's a lot of unknown outside of Chris Lava and Garrett Wilson at the receiver position. Just losing those three talented guys. They had a lot of production. And I think you know the incoming freshmen is a is a wild unknown because guys that come in early it's like it's an unknown. You're talking about a huge jump in what they're expected to do what they're asked to do. Just as a college athlete let alone to perform on a different level than they've ever performed on so I think it's going to be interesting to see how those young guys come in. And I think Jameson Williams is a guy that should have a big off season. He's gotta develop physically developmentally But he has a skill. Gill said that that is really unmatched in that room. Just his speed and his long strides. It's almost Ted ginn junior esque you know so I was going to be an interesting to see What I'm really excited to see is not excited to see? I'm anxious to see what Jalen Gildas is. He hanging around as he go. Try to compete to take that slot position or does he. We feel like maybe it's not gonNA work out at all state. Does he transfer or does it. You know there's one of those young guys take that spot another's talks of maybe Kevin Wilson helping with the play calling. Do think that would if that does happen. Do you think we could possibly see more of Jimmy Rucker. Does he split out like a Jimmy Grim or do we like a mom assuming he would want you WanNa get more tight ends involved. Yeah I mean the reality is although I think. They played just above average this year. You have luke. FERAL Jeremy Rucker coming back with a full off season to improve and enhance their game. And I think it's GONNA be tough to keep them off the field and twelve personnel tight ends so dynamic for an offense in the run game and to have two guys that are athletic and big and long they can make plays in the past game. I think it's GONNA GONNA. You'RE GONNA see a lot more to tights but at the end of the day. I think Ryan's GonNa put the best eleven on the field so if that is a young kid that is dynamic it might be eleven might be one tight and if that is Jeremy Rucker as the second tight end than it is so I think they're gonNA have a lot of flexibility in a lot of talent to figure out how they want to employ them. Yeah I'm trying to think I'm a summer soon. Everyone's expecting master teak to be starting running back and I know being I saw. I saw Marcus Crowley play couple games in high school and I've I one play. It's on my phone somewhere. But he liked he ran over one. Dude take on another. He's the one I'm really excited can stay healthy and take that next step. I think he can be great at is date. Yeah it's GonNa be interesting I I don't I don't see a like a nationally elite running back right now at Ohio state. I just don't love master. I love how he runs. He's very physical but I don't think he's Jonathan Taylor. I don't think he's J. I don't think he's to that level yet but obviously off seasons or when those types of players are created and developed sort of interesting you see. That's that's probably the biggest question. Mark Offense for me is the run game. Who's going to be that every down back that's going to be in a nationally elite guy going along that lines? I know I'd read that be visiting this weekend. But kind of recruiting L.. Know if you've been following this it really bazaars Zac Evans Saga would you take a flyer on him at all or just kind of your out after all the things you per. Yeah I don't know Oh just inside on the situation I know Tony Alford and Ryan Day and really the staff they they will turn every stone and before they make a calculated it risk or decision. They're gonNA make sure that it's one that at least has a decent chance of paying off and certainly won't hurt their situation so I I don't know much about him him or the situation but they need a great player so if they if they can find one that they feel likes GonNa pay it out. I think they'd take a flyer on it and take a risk transfers. That's where he he. I guess he punched a coach when you give up his phone during a meeting. He got sent home from the State Championship game but in my friends he when he wanted me to ask if he wants to know like. Do you still have a relationship with the guys ever talk. Is there anything between you and Ryan still a friend of mine. I mean I've seen him a couple of times. We've always talk. It's certainly not something that him and I are in contact frequently with the situation but he's still a friend of mine and and if if I run into him or when I see him you know it's very friendly. We have great conversation. He's a great great dude. My final final question. No we're finally getting idiot. President breakout me and my friends are kind of going back and forth today little Buckeye Chat. I said I think we should bring in Jim. Tressel alone friend says that he doesn't think we will because the school scared of you know what might think he said maybe give it to urban when I say or do we bring back Gordon Gears or anybody else out there that you think we could be going after I think Jim Tressel is a great option. That's who I think they should higher. I don't think they will. I think Gordon one of the best presidents in Ohio state history. If not the best but I don't think they'll do that for a third time. The guy that I hear a lot about is John in case I mean I think a lot of people think he's the guy and I guess we'll see I know how state is not they. They make decisions out of fear a lot. Which is wide Gordon? Geeze gone why. Jim tressel probably won't get a serious consideration but we'll see I guess I John Case the name I'm hearing and Jim Tressel is the guy I think I think it should be so we'll see Because we're going to go there with the political could you see maybe Anthony Gonzalez coming in back and taking that or or. Maybe he doesn't want to do that. I don't think I think he's. He's down the political route. I think he's going to attack the the the White House House one day so I don't see him come into university president right now but I guess you never know thanks for having me..

"Best Buckeye coverage post game show map record along with former Buckeye running back Jeff Logan former Buckeyes issue coach bill calmly and also Eric Reaser with you after a fifty two to three Ohio state win over northwestern as the Buckeyes improved to seven know and now we'll get ready for the game at Wisconsin if you want to tweet at me and some of you already have with comments during the game and after the game I met at Matt McCoy radio will take your comments will also open up the phone lines were to get through the press coverage is first but if you want to line up phone call six one four eight two one WTVN six one four eight two one nine eight eight six or one eight hundred six ten WTVN question from key here on Twitter do you guys know why they did not start fair Mumford and then put him in later in the game don't understand that if he was good if he was not a hundred percent healthy should they not upset about the rest of the game having said that very please with the offense of line and please with the when just wondering that's from Pete I I have to admit my eyebrows raise went fair Mumford was in the game after he did not start Nick petite Ferrer did but I don't know bill I'd probably coach maybe I don't know if maybe Ferrer was struggling a little bit like like it was the lady in in for a little while yeah this is get some pressure if from that position they had is losing is one on one battles so obvious that was what happened but you know you we you could tell mom for was not a hundred percent either he was kinda hobble little bit and so I'm sure they feel a little safer the more experienced guy in there though felt like another game to me you guys that I know Jeff like early in the game they were almost like the Michigan state game more offense at the office of white they were getting clobbered but they also weren't getting much movement but as the game went on and maybe some of it was as bill mentioned a couple of their D. liming out heard but as the game went on all the sudden those little holes became bigger holes well and I think maybe that is goes partly to the adjustments that the offense of line might be making and some of the blocking assignments a lot of things change in those early minutes when you finally see what strategy the defense is coming out with and you know maybe at the very beginning those guys weren't lined up exactly where they thought they were going to be lined up and I just think it was a matter of of time to be able to get confidence and I think losing a couple those D. lineman early in the game probably did make a difference they don't have great depth obviously on their football team you could tell that by the fact that they had their first team guys in for most of the football game they'll have state was was substituting like crazy they still had their first teams and not because they thought they could get back in but because that's all they've got in terms of people experienced enough to your black I have to say early in the game you know err you and I were watching that northwestern they were actually moving the ball better early in the game than I expected and for a while they were really run of the ball pretty well they ended up as I said with a hundred and sixty whatever yards rushing on the game but it felt like a lot of those were early in the game and I don't know if it was the footing Eric or whatever but it seems like early especially I say was missing tackles like they hadn't early in the season and yeah you that got fix I think the field that at first did have some affect on I mean it was wet and guys were sliding around eight and Smith was not get a whole lot of help from his wide receiver no he was not and they just couldn't get into a rhythm long enough to sustain a drive and that was you know to the point earlier in the show or in the pre game show that convert on third down and our state was doing it in the first half where is northwestern wasnt and that ended being I think really the biggest part of the came was one that mattered you had to convert it doesn't get done and Ohio state code and third fifteen third made certain seven whatever have you the Buckeyes didn't seem to have a problem yeah you got to be able to move the chains if you're gonna be our state I think you know and northwestern just wasn't the kind of team that was going to be able to do that I'm looking at I'm as we're talking I'm just looking at third down conversions on the game and and Ohio state coming into the game number one of the country converting a seventy nine percent up why can't find it here I'll keep look at any rate we were at fifty six percent in terms of fifteen fifty seven yes but to okay they ended up lysine enough eight for fourteen tonight and northwestern was five for nineteen so as the same percentage we've been at all year round yeah lazy I don't I don't have stats in front of me the final status but I think the longest pass that a complete was thirteen yards I don't know what the longest run was but it can mean very much more now Ohio state has had a seventy three yard run from master T. a sixty eight yard run by JK Dobbins and a fifty three yard run by Marcus Crowley that's more than hints are out office of output yeah yeah well I mean that's one of the things we said you have that they you know Pat fitzgerald in his press conference during the week is we've got to take away their big play ability and they did not do that they just and I'm now they've got little chance because they can't match allies the blow for blow as it'll be interesting next week can Wisconsin you know what with that defense the number one defense in the country take away Ohio state's big plays and make him have to drive the football and we'll I guess we'll find out that's gonna be interesting match up to watch yeah you know I think we're really going to learn some things about the Big Ten Conference through this weekend obviously tomorrow night on Saturday you've got the Michigan Penn state game all right let's let's see if we can get Ryan day here Ryan days post game press conference we maybe have a little bit of difficulty if we can get it here we'll try to figure it out but anyway Ryan Dave talking right now Jeff Patty said earlier in the week that was kind of the key to this defense going forward how happy are you you with that and it was that through the explosives twenty our place to your place to store what you want yeah no I mean I came out great energy on on defense that we had an edge to us he could feel a warm ups and they had a really good you know we could practice you know for the for two weeks in a working at it you know it was a it was a slow build of the game it wasn't all once but you can tell me that a great job of pairing you know what I did that check last night just about everybody on that defense going through their film watching will look at the tips in going through things and posters group right there with great leadership that and I think the the secondary you know in in line backers really compliment the front well but that they're playing at a high level right now is because the plan together I understand why they fit in the defense they're playing great energy back the right the.

"Is going to run for the first out and Maury makes it down to the thirty one for a nine yard pick up my job could going outside to the back inside in the jury of the first down so well done nine nine yards on that play we will come out and freshman running back Ryan Montgomery will check into the game so. like Mike Michael Warren done for the rest of the day ten carries fifteen yards Ohio state did a tremendous job against him. Thomas has been effective since coming in we'll see a Friday Montgomery gets the ball. right gives it to Ryan Montgomery looking to run wide to the left he's inside the twenty five years down to the twenty good looking run right there eleven yards in America first out is Cincinnati for the third time today reaches the Toyota red zone runs you by your local Toyota dealers is it by a Toyota dot com for all Toyota offers Toyota let's go places like to speak there is a celebration is body lean everything real good with watching mode return once he did get a nice to see you get a carry their eleven yards really nice pick up three and a half minutes ago Cincinnati trailing Ohio state forty two nothing play action fake bright will prove for the end zone and Tucker it gives the helmet of the guy covering him and bounces out of the back of the end zone yeah a little under thrown because Tucker trying to come back to the ball to go up and get it and that's when it hit the home but so. like the idea of the fate route. former Coleraine cardinal Amir read in coverage there for Ohio state. second down and ten for the Bearcats at the nineteen of issue and bright which is it to the left this is Katie on Thomas to the fifty yard line and which doubt about their after four yard run. is to put a good boundary side that time is short side of the field. couldn't get around the edge so just with a set down to double the. and Brian is not completed a pass yeah he is for three since coming in for jasmine redder red it was thirteen for twenty today the Bearcats now up to eighty eight rushing yards so that figures got more respectable here the fourth quarter after Cincinnati was completely stopped in the right game for the first three quarters. third down and seven play coming up from the Ohio State sixteen yard line Brian hands it off Thomas down to the fifteen that. the goal line he loses the ball into the end zone and it looks like Ohio State recovers in the back of the end zone yeah I don't know if it either way it's we went out of the end so that the touch back anyway so one rather a house they recover the weather when out of the back of the end zone. and it's been every. for Katie on Thomas he does not protect the ball as well as he should now they'll go to the. across the plane before the ball was knocked down might have been down as well Jim okay well one or the other is a good thing for Cincinnati. so he had the ball in his hands he was starting to reach for the goal line when he went down so you may be right there he may have been down on the ground for that ball was wanted out of the sand what's his real and on the ground as he took two hands and try to hold the ball out over the goal line. can't tell if his readers on the ground he is on his way down it looks like he's on another body and he does have the bold right at the end lines I cannot believe they're not gonna look at this. place the ball to twenty yard line the Buckeyes are lining up on offensively. and it looks like Ohio state might be going to a third quarter fact today that is the case it's a running play on first and ten and a gain of about two yards for Ohio state. Conor hope. transfer from Kentucky end of the game at quarterback for Ohio state. a lot of transfer quarterbacks aren't there that's for sure. on second down in a wide run to the right four Ohio state. Marcus Crowley is the running back now and he'll be stopped as he makes it out to the twenty six. Terrell white on the stock. good speed there still got a lot in the tank here is played a lot today. the Cincinnati had three drives into the red zone and failed to score today two turnovers and interception by Desmond rhetoric that fumble by tavy on Thomas he goes down its first and goal from the one in a missed field goal. it's a run between the hash marks look out breaking tackles goes the ball carrier for Ohio state before being dropped. at the thirty eight yard line steel chambers. true freshman running between the hash marks and showing some strength it doesn't get any fresher this is the same severity because it's been out there all day. much showing their words here right now we're down to one oh three to go higher stayed up by forty two points in the Buckeyes are now moving into the.

"Way Bill calmly Eric resear- back with you our best Buckeye coverage post game show following the spring game. How about drew Crispin by the way out about that the Buckeye punter down on a knee at halftime as because he's the holder as though you was going to let his girlfriend kick a field goal. But then on any pull out a box with a ring on it. And they got themselves in gay. That's something you don't rehearse. So he'd better had a good idea. Just to say, yes, that would have been terribly embarrassing. Maybe the MVP of the spring game with that very good. And you're you're right. I mean with sixty five seventy thousand people there that'd be kind of bad if she said, no she the in running out of the opening of the stadium. I would not have been a good exactly the gray team won the game thirty five to seventeen couple of other staffs in their master Teague who we just had. A question about seven Kerry seventy five yards. A couple of touchdowns running the football. Marcus Crowley, who you mentioned the young freshman. Ten carries for fifty yards and the touchdown. Justin fields. Eight carries for fifty two yards and a touchdown fields. Just four of thirteen passing. But a hundred and thirty one yards in that ninety eight yard touchdown. Ben Victor, another guy who played pretty well. Was Jalen Gill kid out of Westerville south seven catches. He was leading receiver in terms of catches seven catches for ninety five yards. And I will say this. You know, we were just talking about Bill can you tell stuff from the spring game? And you said really it's the fourteen practices before this one isn't valued any more or less, but Brian heartline did say during camp he was asked about most improved receiver and somebody that's coming on. Jalen kills a kid that he mentioned, so he seems to be working his way into legitimate playing time potentially. Also, a big thing to break in a lot of times on special teams and those guys when they prove they get the job done covering kicks and covering punts and things like that. Then you get chance to play your position in the spring game and do well, that's that's important coaches. Really look for that. Dave on Twitter says how come we didn't see Jordan fuller out Jordan, fuller out? There fuller was has been injured. And there were a lot of guys that you. Did morlin. You didn't see? Yeah. And coach Dave mentioned it some guys didn't get many reps at all because they barely played. Yeah. You want keep at that stallion healthy. I tell you what he's a good one. That's the other thing when you try to evaluate off of this game. Like there was an offensive explosion in the second quarter, which was cool and the fans guy knew it, Eric. But I mean, let's be fair. I mean the ninety eight yard touchdown pass came against the third team friends. So it was great. And it was it was a good throw, and it was on target and Ben Victor made the catch. But you typically you're not I don't know how much you can take out of that looking forward to the fall because of who the competition. Yeah. I don't think other than it was a nice moment for the fans. There's just nothing there. Because that kind of I mean, look it was a great throw a great catch, obviously. But yeah. And I think it goes to my earlier point of where he was just trying to get them comfortable. And then in the second quarter. Like we saw he's letting them aired out more because hey, all right. So we got this kind of out of the way. We you got a couple of handoffs zone read action. But throw the ball downfield a couple times give the fans a little something show this arm talent because all three all all three or four of the guys have armed talent. And so you saw that on display, and that's great. But yeah, nothing is there anything to Bill with a young guy like Jalen hill who red-shirted last year really talented player of. Okay. Let's see how he does in front of an audience. Does. I mean, you can count on one hand the number of schools are going to have sixty five seventy thousand you know, years before they had over one hundred thousand at a spring football game. Is that an advantage in terms of does that add to any evaluation tool that maybe a Purdue can't have where they got, you know, eight thousand people there absolutely is a stage. It's not a stage like game day. But it's the second best. And show that in front of your your teammates to you know, that shows them they have confidence in you. When you make plays like that. And you know, there's some guys some young freshman kid on a defecit. I thought looked exceptional day. I saw ninety seven. No, no. Yeah. True freshman, so you know, you bake a couple place early in your career in front of a crowd in Ohio State. It really gets somebody's attention. You know, we haven't really talked much about the defense. But how much of I mean, take me through the spring. You've got a completely new defensive coaching staff. Save Larry Johnson. I mean, he's the only one that's new how how long does it take? We're talking about player new players meshing together. How long does it take? Greg Maddison Jeff half the code offensive coordinators at Washington all the new defensive pieces from a coaching staff standpoint. How long does it take for them to get a rhythm so to speak and learn how to work together? Well, that's funny. You mentioned that because one of the three that's one of the three things I thought was most important today to get the staff working together. See we have to make a decision what you get into the season. But guys on the sideline what guys are going to be up in a box. And what's the communication going? Be who's going to be communicating with you? And I this really important. Now, the fortunate thing is these guys all been around the block, but they had to work together. And get those things done is very important. I thought today was a big step for those guys. One thing Ryan day also said Eric was that from an offensive standpoint in the fall, he's going to be a play caller. But today and when they scrimmaged in the spring he had Kevin Wilson. Also Mike usage the new passing game coordinator calling plays. He said, I just want us. Everybody to have that experience. Kevin wilson. I mean, he's got plenty of that experience. But you know, there's a lot for the coaches to evaluate in terms of value in themselves tonight feel like that's what I mean. And Bill correct me if I'm wrong is what day served primarily as today was he's the evaluator of everything more so than a play caller more. So than a scheme guy was how does so. And so look in this this situation. How are these coaches communicating? With their position coaches with their assistance. How are we getting calls at the correct time? He was even talking at halftime like I know it's a running clock. But I'll stop it. If I want to and that's his job is to manage all of that. Because when you get into the season, and I I know I called it a cheese board slate that the first part of the year, but FAU's a real opponent and lane kiffin going to want to beat Ohio State. And so at that time he serves as the head coach this is the chance he gets to just figure out everything got a better sent in the horseshoe. Yeah. I think he's in everything I think you take he he said during the season earning spring. He says, you know, we got great dish near we're not changing things that the believe me there's a day way. And he's going to want to do it the day way. And part of that is evaluating all that. You said something interesting how the players respond to the coaches to you take Brian hotline. Here's a guy that has law respect the players guys have been there. Playing in the league. And you could tell the players really respect him. And Brian is not going to be a guy. Probably just going to make me suggestions on place to run because he's still new at the college game is a coach. But he's a guy that can serve a major role of getting what the players when they come off the field and things like that. So ride days violating all that. And when you can't do that when you're just strictly an office coordinator, because you're you know, you're playing why Nick series and things like that. So he's got to get a lot done. Now. You wonder what he said to Garrett Wilson after that? Touchdown grab. He coaching going on there. More of them. I was just going to say, yeah. Keep doing that. Because that was never I'll tell you. I said whoever whatever team came in second on him recruiting lies. He said, ma'am. Glad you bitches your you didn't go to wherever. Yeah. That from a like play standpoint that might have been like for me, the most eye-popping play of what we saw that showed athleticism coverage wasn't that wasn't bad. It was seven banks was on the coverage. Who's the guy you're probably going to see in the fall? He's not I rang but nickle package and stuff you're going to see him. So it was a legitimate good player that had good coverage. And he just went up and made a where you can start establishing that trust between fields and gear Wilson where you know as a quarterback if I'm putting the ball there. I know my guys going to go up over everybody and get that. And it's it's not impossible to do it a place like the what he has athlete center or inside there big old dome. But to do outside at the horseshoe on a Saturday afternoon. The as close to replicating alive fire game situation as you can was today and play like that really helps you moving forward. You mentioned live fire game Steve on Twitter as a question about that which we will get to we got to go against a go to a break. We do have a phone lines open. If you would like to call maybe you're getting back to the car after watching the spring.

"The clock in the morning. I do for you, man. Especially be my socks either. I'm not gonna get into that with you. All right. Let's get into this recruiting class shall we top fifteen class. You just heard Ryan day during the news saying we didn't have a lot of spots open or else. It would be higher is is that the truth here or did the buckeyes miss out on some things because usually it's a top five class. Well, I don't I don't think it missed out on anything. I think you're caught in that transitional period that you know, there are a couple of decommit because of urban retirement, but at the same time, you did have some kids commit right after urban retired. So I think it's just a new regime coming in. I don't put in again, it's early signing day. Also, remember that? So you still have more coming in February. So the rank could very well go higher. But right now, they're listed at twelve with the big ten rank third behind Michigan and Penn State, but there's a lot of good kids in this class. And obviously Zach Harrison is the big one talk prospect at Ohio mean this kid's in animal, man. And he's explosive on the outside Russia's the edge. But he had he narrowed it down from Ohio State and Penn State Michigan and finally made the announcement yesterday, which was pretty cool the place when absolutely not. But overall I'd say they got a pretty good looking class. There's some good players that are that have committed as of yesterday. How big of a big of a get is that for Ryan days. Harrison, this guy pretty much. Everybody was saying Michigan one hundred percent the whole way through then all of a sudden Michigan gets a beatdown by the buckeyes and he flips over to Ryan. Well, I think it would have been more of a I I don't consider it a huge get because he was right here in our backyard. I think it would have been bigger he gone in Michigan to be honest. I mean, that'd be he was going to he was supposed to. I mean, it was by all accounts. All these crystal ball predictions. It was a done deal. Well, I think those crystal balls were cloudy. I don't think he ever was really gonna go that way. I mean, there was were part of me that thought he might. But I I find it hard to believe that that he was going to go straight up north. I think that some that he was caught to and got convinced that you know, Ryan day is a good coach. And this is still a good program. And we've seen what they're capable of especially with this offense with Ryan day. And and Michigan saw first hand on the last week and then in November. But you know, you don't crystal balls go blow him, I mean, you know, you have some of these kids this star quality you buy star four star three star. It's almost like the NFL draft. You have these guys are like, yeah. He's gonna be all world ends up being. A bust. And then you have free star kids that are like Michigan state like look at on bell four star. Now look at him. And you know, how he's crews on the NFL. Let's get rid of this past year. But it's a it's a solid group. We're talking to the artist formerly known as my campaign. I can't be let me ask you this. You know, you just mentioned three stars recruiting processes so overblown in dramas ties. And would rather get some three stars who are hungry because a lot of these stars are based on how many camps these guys go to where it's based on body frame. What's their size? What's their speed? And it's not so much based on are. They a good football player. I see more three stars. Your Baker mayfield's. You just mentioned on bell. I see more three stars out there making headway in college and pro football than I do. I see a lot of five store flops to be honest with you. I I think we go to crazy over this stuff. Yeah. I I would agree with you. In fact, one three star prospect that I'm I personally am interested in seeing is with Mike Weber deciding to go pro we, you know, higher speed at two one thousand yard back over the last couple of years with Mike Weber and j k Dobbins with Weber going saying he wants to try to play on Sundays Marcus Crowley is three star running back from Jacksonville, Florida. And I'm telling you bloom this kid's pretty good. We talk. To Jeremy Birmingham yesterday on one five seven the zone yesterday afternoon. He's with Letterman row, and he was saying three star from Jacksonville Florida is different than a three star anywhere else. No, again, we're talking about that level, and how you gauge stars. But if you think of the amount of athletic, ability and talent that is in that pool in Florida, Marcus Crowley, could be something special. But again, it's it's it's a script that yet to be written. You know, we have the guys some of the guys in place. It's just to see how these kids merge into the system about wide receiver Garrett Wilson, what do you like about this guy? Oh my God. He's an animal. I can tell you that right now. I mean, he's good. He's good size is six one one eighty one. But after Mickey Mariotti gets his hands on them. You know, you're looking at him being around two hundred pounds. But he's got good speed good hands. Bryant heartline is you know, full-time on board. Now as wide receivers coach you're going to see some of his routes improve. But you know, he's one of the highest touted receivers coming out of this high school class at lake Travis, Texas, and we know that Ohio State is dipped into that, Texas, especially going back to JK Dobbins. You see what he's capable of as running back. But I lay Garrett Wilson I also like the other wide receiver. They got Jameson Williams. He's a four star out of Saint Louis. This is another kid good size. Good hands playmaker out in the open field. And if if Ohio State continues to run the scheme to running now and a lot of cross. Passing routes and give these kids the ability to make plays. You could continue to see the the most you know, some explosive plays out this offense. And the other thing is bloom. I wanted to bring it keep in mind too that the quarterback situation could change to with a big with the big story with doin Mathis with from Ohio State to Georgia. But Justin field who is the number one recruit in two thousand eighteen and was at Georgia decided to transfer now it's open for him to talk to people. And he narrowed his choices down to Florida state, Oklahoma and Ohio State. I gotta tell you talking to Jeremy Birmingham. Again, he says this kid is every bit of a he called him. A did Shawn Watson redo, and I and he said that this is the talk about Justin fields coming to Columbus is a real thing. And if he does so you may have to make room for this kid, and I don't know if he's going to be if he's going to be a redshirt or if he's going to. If he's gonna apply, I guess lawyers involved or regarding hardships. Because apparently there was he's claiming the word was used. It was inappropriate, you know, his coaches as you know, is a black quarterback. But the other thing is that if you if he can come back, you know, if he if he doesn't you saw the shape Patterson thing within going, you know, leaving because you freeze deal. So. Same attorney to. Yeah. And the other thing that you should keep in mind. You know, who is quarterback kit coaches the saints quarterback coach of Dwayne Haskins. There you go. Hey, we gotta get going camping. I'm gonna I'm gonna jump back with you at about twenty after eight if that's possible. All right. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm heading to the gym right now. But it should be you don't work out. Come on. I'll talk to you right now. All right. That is the artist formerly known as Mike campaign, and hopefully, we'll get him back on talk more a little bit later. Let's go to Alison right now. What's going on the news? If you plan to hit the road to head out for the holiday, you might see some lower gas prices. They no longer have to defect to come play baseball. The MLB in Cuba are reaching an agreement. And it's a holiday baking disaster. Broken hershey. Kisses have cookie bakers bitter. A look at that coming up at the top of the hour. Okay. We got a couple of accidents scenes in heroes and start with six seventy westbound.

"Can trust in ten minutes. I'm Johnny hill. Newsradio six ten WTVN. ABC six first warning weather looks like this today. Mix late Friday, high of forty three your weather is powered by the basement doctor. It's forty degrees at your severe weather station. News Radio six ten WTVN. Kickoff. This segment with a couple of interviews first of all Jonathan honing. His joining me editor of a new textbook of Americanism Jonathan good morning to you. Great great you with you. It's a good morning. It was a it was kind of a better morning before the Federal Reserve raise interest rate. All right. Look, you know, this stuff inside and out for people like myself who kinda you know, behind the curve. What's that mean for the average American? Well, first and foremost, it means that they're savers. They're going to be getting a little bit more in interest at the Bank. That's a good thing. I mean, it seems like I've been literally have to go back a decade for four weekend. This era of all tra- low interest rates from the Federal Reserve, it was all all designed to stem, the tide from the global financial crisis. But you know, that's going on ten years ago. So the Federal Reserve basically sensing in in observing the economy has strengthened we've talked about record low unemployment in very strong GDP over the year said look the economy needs to return to more normalized interest rate. That's why they raised a quarter point in and plan on raising them another more again next year, you'll see more interested the Bank receiver, but you also paid a little bit more interest. If your power. Particularly if you have an adjustable rate mortgage so interest rates are going up and at the same time. This has everyone worried why the market fell yesterday after that decision at the same time the economy appears appears to be slowing. So we have a kind of a very tedious tenuous type of his Jewish in here. Now higher interest rates in a slowing economy. A lot of economists if you can believe it our forecasting a recession for twenty nine. Well, so I was gonna say Jonathan there's a lot of fear mongering out there. What do you see do you see us? Do you see a recession happening within twenty four months? Look that that is what history suggests to me when the market which tend to be a great forward looking indicator calls false ten percent from the highs much as it has in the last couple of weeks there tends to to proceed some type of recession. Reckon unac- slowdown. But let's just put this in a little bit of context. This economy has been growing for the better part of nine years now, and we're we are we are long in the tooth by every historical measure, and it's been a tough year to be an investor that tends to as I said the harbor that. This is the first year in years that you lost money. Both owning stocks and bonds in twenty eight teams so tough year for investor probably a tough early twenty nineteen for the economy, but later on in twenty nineteen and certainly into twenty twenty I think Washington plays its cards, right? We can get rid of this trade war. We can continue on with locations, and hopefully even type spending there's no high. There's no telling how high but the kinda go Jonathan appreciate the. Insight. Thank you. Anytime. That's Jonathan Hoenig editor a new textbook American Eliza, and he hung up as you can hear. Let's go from a big business story to a big news story. We're talking about your holiday buckeyes and signings two thousand nineteen recruiting class announced fifteen players the artist formerly known as Mike campaign joining us now he can't be I wanted to talk to you a little bit more about this class. First of all is that Harrison your favorite get so far. Oh without question without question. The only other ones that I see that. I I do like a outside linebacker cage Stover at a Lexington. He was Mr. football in Ohio. He's powerful player. I like him, but steel chambers, basically, and I will tell you just because he's got one of the coolest names. I think now coming into college football. They list him as an athlete at Roswell Georgia, but this kid can play a couple of different positions. But I liked it. They've gotten some strength in the office of line with Ryan Jacoby out manner. Also, Noah Potter on the deep side. So if you look at it on the defense, Jack Harrison, Noah Potter who? Of course is Mike a Potter's little brother, Michael Potter played Ohio State basketball transferred to Wisconsin. But Noah said, hey, man, I'm staying with the buckeyes so you have some strengthening both the defensive line and of line, and I know that the office of line got a little bit of flack as far as the run blocking. This year. But you know, Harry, Harry Miller the center be for Georgia. He's a five star. So I mean, they've always done, you know, a fantastic job of getting some some quality Lyman in there. And I think they're going to need that especially at center. So okay. Okay. It's a good group. They can't be what do you say to somebody who says, wait a minute. What's going on here? Michigan number one in the big ten in Ohio State, number three. I don't say anything because I I also look at seven and right now against Michigan. So I'm okay with that. Okay. Now, what about you were talking about this potential transfer the number one dual threat quarterback in the nation last year? This does Shawn Watson looking like if you will. What's the latest on this? While the latest right now is that he's been cleared to talk with other teams. Now, initially he just said he he wanted out of Georgia. He doesn't want to sit behind Jake Frahm for another two years. But what made the twist of this a little bit easier? I guess for Georgia to let him go was doin Mathis who was originally a four star quarterback set to come to state with the to Georgia. So they guess they said well this kid coming in. Yeah. Feel free. So the hang up right now is whether or not he's going to have to sit out the two thousand nineteen year. So there's people talking with some lawyers or he's got some lawyers that are. Maybe seeing if there's this hardship rule that he can use. So the doesn't have to skip a year. And I don't know if you recall, but former running back at Ohio State Antonio Williams declaim a hardship will because his mother was under the weather down in North Carolina. So he was able to transfer and play right away this past season at UNC. So Justin fields the situation is that from what I understand. He is claiming that one of his coaches a position coach called him, a racial slur. He's obviously not happy about that. So if they clear him for that the hardship and say I want out you'll be here next year. So the hangup bloom that it's not a hang up, but you Matthew Baldwin and Tate Martell sitting in the wings waiting at Ohio quarterback, Wayne asking, he's probably is more than likely going to go. Pro the latest mock draft has him going to Jacksonville. So let's. Just assume he's out of the picture. Justin fields comes in. You got three quarterbacks. You get yourself a bit of a quarterback battle. I don't know. If I if you had to ask me right now, I'm not sure Tate Martell is still here. Justin fields comes because the way Ryan day runs as offense. Are you gonna are? You gonna give K mart shell tell that shot. We we know we can throw the ball. Okay. But he's more zone read guy. But Justin fields and Matthew Baldwin throw the ball over the field. Right. It makes for an interesting scenario without a doubt. But you know, it it's your number one programs out there. It's all about bringing all the talent in and letting it filter out from there. Yeah. And and also to be complementary, you know, Jim Harbaugh's, an excellent recruiter. He's got a couple of ten win seasons under his belt. He's turning the program around. They're going to I, you know, the probably gonna beat Florida. I'm rooting for them in the ball game. I'd like to see them get that eleven win season. The only thing he does strengthen the big ten Michigan Penn State, Ohio State. I'm hoping Nebraska gets in the top twenty five as far as recruiting as well looks like they will. So we could have as many as five top twenty five recruiting classes coming out of the big ten that does nothing but strengthened the conference. Hey, can't be real, bro. Quick because I know you're lifting right now doing those chest press is trying to get. I'm sitting in the parking lot to sniff. My stock. Hey, thirty seconds or last last who's the sleeper and this Ohio State recruiting class, thirty seconds or less. Seconds left. I'm gonna go with the three star. Marcus Crowley, the running back out of Jacksonville, Florida. Okay. We're dongola. That is my campaign is trying to turn himself into Arnold Schwarzenegger..

"Join in. So obviously today is early signing day. We saw earlier that Zach Harrison defensive end out of volunteer. Angie, orange committed to OSU today pretty strong. I spoke with Steve hell wagon from button. And I had a really good conversation with him. And here he is on. Well, Steve you feel good about the LSU early signing day, and how Ryan days job how how good of a job is he doing think for Ryan day taking over the program from urban Meyer. Had a great seven year run. Obviously, the head coach there were a lot of questions about the transition and how things were going to go. You know, people are concerned will continue to win at the amazing pace. I think a ninety one percent winning percentage is what urban Meyer put up, but a lot of that is part and parcel of the outstanding job. He did as a recruiter bringing great prospects to Ohio State over his time as the head coach. Now hands off the baton to Ryan day important that there's no slippage in that regard. Most of urban Meyer's classes were all ranked in the top five nationally this class as we sit here right now is ranked number fourteen in the country. And there are some mitigating circumstances. Obviously, it's not a huge class as of today. You know, it's just kind of the way the world is this was the transition and the uncertainty with program there were some issues that cropped up this ball. But I don't look at this as. Warning sign or an idea that he's not going to recruit at the same level that urban Meyer did so I think you look at it and just say there's you mentioned back here. So now outstanding prospect central Ohio and plenty about the top players. That is Steve hell wagon with button nuts who join me last hour. Boy, there's a lot of top prospects. And in some of them, we kind of talked about steel chambers and Marcus Crowley running backs one from Georgia one from Florida, and he talked about how important this is with Mike Weber exiting, obviously, very important that we're we're getting some quality guys coming in behind him. And then some of the other big names, you know, you got Harry Miller in also an offensive lineman and then. Garrett Wilson top twenty wide receiver prospect out of Austin, Texas. And Josh we even talked about the rumors on this kid from Georgia. This Justin fields the backup there transferring to OSU, and it's pretty interesting is this kind of gain in a little bit of traction right now. Yeah. He's back up to Jake fromm down in Georgia. And he doesn't want to sit another. He's tired. He wants a chance to plays very talented was highly recruited, and you know, the thing is, you know, there's not a quarterback in this recruiting class the twenty nine thousand nine recruiting class for Ohio State does not have a quarterback tell the last time. I haven't seen one quarterback in Ohio states recruiting class. So when you consider the fact that they've got that whole there, and listen, I know people around here excited, and you know, I'll give Tate Martell chance. But I'm not exactly enamored with the guy. I'm not I haven't seen enough to believe that he's going to be any more than a you know, a running quarterback. And I I don't wanna running quarterbacks. You see how I want? I want to Dwayne Haskins. Type wanna pocket presence. You know, even though even though the fields out of this Justin feels cow Georgia. He is kind of almost J T Barrett ish in and how he plays. I. Just I don't know. I I think that whatever Ryan day does whatever this coaching staff does the most important position to solidify and whatever Ryan day wants to do with his offense where he's going to go back to the run pass option. Whether he's gonna stick back with more of a traditional spread with what we did this year. He's gonna you gotta make sure you have a really Dag on good quarterback. You didn't say RPO. You actually said run pass option. I'm tired of people who drop that don't even know what the hell RPO like. We're not that that was a robot from Star Wars see three P India. Right. Exactly. Okay. Well, interesting. We'll see how that plays out. You know, some some good information there again, thanks to Steve L wagon with buck nuts. Pretty cool. So last night. You started telling me, this is the greatest you guys. I I'll have to bring the I gotta bring the audience in on this a little bit. So you walk into the office today and Josh comes around the corner into the office. And I'm sitting there, and he goes what's up, dude? I go what's up? He goes. I got a really good story. I mean that was like your first words today, which makes me smile, man. Yes. You and I are always thinking why we're all we're content starved as they say we're on the air for three hours every day. We're always combing were thinking, we're always trying to come up with something. Interesting to entertain our fantastic audience. And you've got some it's like everything good or bad the happens in my life. Now, I look through the lens of well. How can what can I do to turn this into material for the show? I do it all the time. And you know, what's sad is is Lauren to the point yet where she my wife will go. Hey, you could do that's a topic for your? Show. We'll be watching TV. I'm not kidding. Sometimes occasionally she'll show liar drop that adhere there. But yeah. No. So I hit a I kinda I hit a parking. I was kind of looking to make sure nobody was coming my way. I hit a kerb at Kroger. You're pulling out the one out at the curb at Kroger. I didn't think I hit that hard. But I get home and as half, I'm halfway home. I noticed that little tire like pressure late thing start blinking on and off. And I'm like, well, that's not good. I go. I must have hit that a little harder. It's like a sensor on your dashboard. Yeah. Exactly. And then get out of the car. And I know it's like oh my God. My tires gone flat. Oh my gosh. My rims a little bent like, maybe a three inch piece of it is just bent up a little bit. Maybe like a nine even a forty five degree angle. And I'm like, oh, no. You know, what kind of strikes me if I could pause you right there? The thing. That strikes me kinda surprising about this. You're pulling out you, maybe you're like, I hit a curb you didn't really feel like. Holy crap. You're just like I hit a curb, and it was like not that big of a deal yet, you end up bending your ram it just based on the way, you're describing. I'm sean. It's almost like what is your roommate out of how could it just been so easy? You know, I know metal. What's this chair made out from shallow Hal anyway? So I put the is. So I got to put the the Donut on right and donate. The only go like forty five fifty miles an hour. I got to put the Donut on tonight. I gotta drop the tire and the rim off at a play. I don't know. I I'm to get. I'm really worried about how much they think they're going to be able to salvage the tire, but the rim. I was gonna say it could you see any visible damage to the tire you're thinking where it meets the rim there because it was. Just came off. And that's what let the air out. Okay. Now, whether it's completely destroyed or not I'm just hoping it can salvage the tire. I wish I knew somebody. I wish there was a guy. Like, I wish I had a guy that could just like I can just drive help you out help me out and fix it off. No, I'm going to get ripped off. Because God knows what a rims gonna cost. So anyway, I put the Donut on well. Anyway. Where you get rim jobs too. Because if you go depending on where you go that could actually turn really, really bad. But anyway, go, and I'm very I'm very nervous about this. I need a reputable guy to go to many anyway point is. I got the Donut on this morning. I dropped I dropped my little baby girl off at daycare. I didn't even think about I just I just want my normal way. I start to get on to seventy I'm already at the bottom of the exit before dawns on me. I'm on a doughnut. I can't go seventy miles an hour. Sixty five miles an hour on this Donut on to seven. I think you can though the it tells you they're not rated so. The guy in the slow lane with my flashers on point forty five miles an hour all the way from sawmill till I can get off at thirty three in Dublin. And then I have to cross back all the way through downtown doubling riverside. So I can drive forty five the rest of the way of riverside, dude. I was that guy. I was the guy that you've made fun of. Yeah. I knew it. I lay on my horn like what city doing get off the interstate. I was the guy today man, and it caused me to be like twenty minutes late to work. It was it was disastrous..

"All right. Welcome in. I'd like to start with a meat update. As you may. Or may not know yesterday. I. I did the unthinkable as I was leaving the house. I lifted the lid on the crock pot to smell the roast that my wife was making for dinner last night. And I I have to admit I did shift the crock pot around. I kind of moved it away from the outside of it felt kinda warm to me. So I'll be honest. I actually moved it a little bit. And then the process I accidentally unplugged it, and I didn't even realize that I'd done it. So my wife comes home from work, and I text her and I'm all excited. I'm like, hey, how's the rose tells? Hey, how's the rose look at how's everything? And then she goes it's cold, but somehow got unplugged, and I'm like, oh my God. Did I do that? And then panic sets in and she is beside herself thinking the meat is completely ruined. Well after some looking into it. She figured out that the meat was salvageable actually, put it inside of a roaster and ended up cooking it the rest of the way in the oven and the bottom of this roaster ended up in the process. Getting basically a layer of crust on it. I don't know. Exactly what happened. But she ended up cooking the crap out of this. However, it did end up really really good. I mean, the actual meat itself. The flavor was unreal. As a matter of fact, here's how good it was. I come in. And I go, and she'd text me and said, hey, it came out pretty dry, but it has pretty good flavor. And I'm thinking, oh boy during that text that I got so I'm headed home. And I'm like, how do I stop and get something just in case haven't as a backup? No, I didn't. So I come in. I'm like where is it? She's like, it's on the stove. So I go over and I start looking at it. And it looks. Yeah. You know, pretty dry. There's like a there was like a crust on it. There was like this bark. If you will if you've ever have you ever smoked something, you know, what I'm talking about. So I'm standing there, and there's a hunk of meat left in there. There's a fork sitting there, and I started taking little bites of it with the fork, and I can tell you this. It never made it onto my plate. I stood there in eight the rest of it out of the actual roaster. So there it is. I Finally I made it home, and it was really really dry. But is it weird that it actually it tasted really really good? Even though it was really really dry and it had like the the bark on it. And we thought the pan was actually going to. We thought the pan was going to end up being ruined the roster. But she soaked that overnight, man. Oh, man, all is well in the blazer household this morning. So we ended up saving and luckily, my unplugging it. It didn't lead to total disaster. Again, it was pretty dried out she actually suggested me slapping, a piece of provolone on it. And then, you know, heat Matt up in the in the microwave. To add some whatever. But man, it just didn't need it. And this would have been a really good sandwich that you could've as you up. And maybe put on like, I said a sandwich or something. But man, it ended up being fantastic. We somehow we somehow salvaged it. And I'm very happy about that. Josh had a dilemma that happened to him last night. We're going to get to a little over an hour from now we've got drunk ereck Zia coming up. I know you're like, wait. What what does that drunk or Rex? Also, we're going to get to your your favorite Christmas gift that you've ever received or maybe one that you've given sometimes it's better to give them receive. But the favourite gift you've ever received like maybe as a child or even as an adult. We'll get to that all of that. Plus, you know, oh, my God huge stack of stuff that we will get to as well. So it is OS you early signing day. And as a result, I'd like to welcome to the show right out of the chute here. Steve hell wagon with button in Steve. Welcome to the show, man. I am. I think I've ever spoken to you. But I so much. Appreciate you coming on today. Man. Oh, no glad to do it guys. It is kind of like used to joke when the same period. Smokescreens February we call the Christmas in February. Well, this is actually Christmas in December, which isn't actually Christmas. It's actually Christmas before Christmas. So. Talk to me Steve about how are you feeling so far we'll get into some names here in a second. But tell me how you're feeling so far about LSU early signing day. I mean, obviously we landed five star recruits Zach Harrison that is huge for LSU. You know, no question. I think for Ryan day taking over the program. From urban Meyer. Had a great seven year run. Obviously, the head coach there were a lot of questions about the transition and how things were going to go. You know, people are concerned. We'll we'll hire state continue to win at the amazing pace. I think a ninety one percent winning percentage is what urban Meyer put up, but a lot of that is part and parcel of the outstanding job. He did as a recruiter bringing great prospects to Ohio State over his time is the head coach. Now hands off the baton to Ryan day. And it's important that there's no slippage in that regard. Most of urban Meyer's classes were all ranked in the top five nationally this class as we sit here right now is ranked number fourteen in the country. And there are some mitigating circumstances. Obviously, it's not a huge class. As of today. They have fourteen guys signed look like they're about ready dot number fifteen here any minute with j MacKenzie defensive lineman from North Carolina is about to to announce. State any second. So, you know, it's just kind of the way the world is this the transition and the uncertainty with program there were some issues that cropped up this fall. But I I don't look at this as a warning sign or an idea that he's not going to recruit at the same level that urban Meyer did so I think you look at it and just say they got as you mentioned back here. So now steaming prospect here in central Ohio and plenty about the top players. So how about before we get to some of the other players as part of the Ohio State signing day roster here. How about the rumors on this kid from Georgia? Justin fields, the backup there Georgia transferring DOS, you any you hear anything about that. Or is there any validity to that? Well, you know, I I think we won't know for a while. I think Georgia playing in their bowl game and probably not gonna wanna usurp that and I think that coach they obviously couldn't make any comment about it. Even though the player has publicly announced he's. To pursue it transferred in what they call the transfer database at this point, which kind of makes him fair game for other colleges to to least open lines of communication. It's not a public process. It's not something that you're going to see a lot of coaches or even the player, you know, discussing those schools, it's it's more of a delicate process. But I think certainly in the running if it comes to pass, I'm not quite sure how they're gonna be able to get through. He would be eligible to play next year. Most transfers have to sit out a year. But I guess we'll see through this process. How it all turns out talking to Steve hell wagon with buck nuts? And of course, it's all you early signing day. And so Steve who are some of the top prospects that we are basically right now, it's going to be there just a name, but they will become household names. As we move forward with OSU as we all know how that actually plays out. But who are some of the top prospects? We should be watching out for or listening for. Well. They've already added three national top fifty players in this class talking about that. Here's the number four in the country. Which is highly rated a prospect from central Ohio is like the call. I've been following this for about twenty five years. Maybe maybe catch them all you're back in the day from Westerville south would have been a top ten prospects from here in Columbus. There's probably been a few others over the years that are just kinda escaping my mind at this point. But that is a great starting point. And it also proves that Ryan day can close and make the sale at the eleventh hour because they had to beat back certainly Michigan and Penn State to get him. So you start with him yet in your Wilson. Player from Austin, Texas, right right here. -versity of Texas is he's a national top twenty prospect wide receiver that they're gonna try and build their offense around the wide receiver position. And then Harry Miller from Georgia another national top fifty prospects offense lineman. They've really help themselves. I think on that side of the ball. They have another offense of Wyman duck Nestor who's the top fifty prospects as well. But he's not signing day. I think the coaching change. This is kind of endemic coaching changes with him to kind of look around at some other schools. There was worried he was maybe ticking visit up the Penn State to see what he might see there. And I would expect Nestor stays with Ohio State would sign there's another signing period on February two six as kind of looted to earlier the late signing period. So perhaps Nestor with join Ohio states at that time. And that would mean the world if they're able to hang onto him. You like Marcus Crowley, the running back out of Jacksonville, Florida is obviously see him as as a signing on the sunny day roster is Marcus a going to be a good one. Oh, no doubt. You look at Marcus Crowley, kind of a diamond in the rough type guy who they got in on. And he's from the same high school is Sean weight and tight reads Johnson who are on the team right now turn into Christian in Jacksonville, Florida. He ended up not rated all that highly. But he ended up as the Gatorade player of the year in the state of Florida. He rushed for two thousand three hundred yards. And we talk about losing a Mike Weber early the NFL. Yeah. The depth that running back is not necessarily where they want it. And I look at Marcus, Crowley and steel chambers. Another outstanding running back from Georgia. Those two are going to have opportunity to come in and probably be key backups through j k next year. So I think yeah. Those guys are going to have the opportunity. Play right away. Targeted to Steve hell wagon with buck nuts. And this is something interesting that I saw in an article I read about of course, we just spoke about just a few hours ago, Zach Harrison signing with OSU, and I love the fact that. Yeah. Michigan and Penn State were in the running as well. There was something interesting in the article where it says after recruiting process he tolerated much more than he enjoyed. He goes ahead and signs with the highest state when they say, he tolerated this much more than he enjoyed you would think that it would be pretty enjoyable having all these people chasing you. But can you shed any light on that what they actually mean when they say something like that? Or they're quoted as saying something like that. Well, you gotta understand if you're a national top ten prospects. Everybody you come in contact with in your community in your school, your church wherever you may go knows that that's that's your identity. So it's something that everybody you come in contact with pushing and pulling you, you know, kids at our school who like Michigan or are lobbying for Michigan or Penn State or a high state, whatever it might be. And that's just the beginning. That's the people, you know, didn't you have social media? You have the coaches from these schools and assistant coach the head coach who are trying to maintain almost constant contact with the prospect as much as allowed by NCW rule. There are certain rules in terms of how much they can be in touch. And I think the college coaches as urban Meyer told Ryan day, the biggest part of your job is recruiting and it's not all face to face communication. It's texting phonecalls. It's every bit. You know that you can do. Hi state hires people to put stuff on social media about the prospects that they are recruiting. I mean, that's where we're at today right now. So it is twenty four seven even if you're not on a visit to our campus, you are constantly accosted with Where're you going? And and what are you doing? In college coaches want to know, how your day was and all this hookers. Right. They're trying to build relationships. And I think that in the end Larry Johnson who as coach day just referred to a legend as an assistant coach. I mean, there's some uncertainty, which the assistant coaches will be back. I can tell you for certain Larry Johnson. We'll be back. You know, he took the Bose's and has done an outstanding job. Here's a line coach. And he built the report with Zach Harrison, and he'll ended him, and it's another feather in his cap and Larry Johnson's the guy who won the day and one that process. Well, no question, we're going to enjoy watching him sacking the opposition very soon, set six five and a half two hundred and forty three pounds. He's a big one. And I'm I'm looking forward to it. Real quick. We got about thirty seconds left Steve wagon with buck nuts. Your thoughts on us having a Friday night game next year because I was not really that. Happy about it. I'll just say it. Yeah. That's mainly for colleges like Purdue and northwestern who needs the exposure in prime time. Ohio State doesn't need the prime time. I think there's a lot of is ban. Those are kinda outta joint today because of that. Not a program that needs to play Friday night team to get exposure. So I see that on the other side it's called being a good member of the big ten conference, and it's part of the TV contract. And Michigan says, they're never gonna do it. A higher stakes yellow take one for the ball team. And that's kind of the way it is. So they're gonna play an away game on a Friday. The good news ten months advance notice for high schools. They can move their game to Thursday or Saturday. If they want to protect their gates, and you know, we see channel fifty three here. In town. Does a lot of Thursday night games? It's not unheard of for teams to play on Thursday night. Steve hell wagon with buck nuts. Very.

"Seven twenty seven. Bottom of the hour. News is just a few moments away. The big news is already rolling in for Ohio State football. We've mentioned a couple of times today national early signing period for national letter of intent for a high school football players who want to continue their careers in college. Ohio State has already had several commitments sign on the dotted line, including cades Stover, Mr. Ohio football, who's going to be a Buckeye now. Marcus Crowley, who is the Florida player of the year was going to go to Miami of Florida Ohio State flipped him. He's coming to Ohio State, Ronnie Hickman, Noah Potter mica. Potter's brother, Noah Potter? Lori Schmidt is all over this today. And we will have the very latest as these commitments continue to roll in. It's always amazing to me. I've never been a big recruiting guru. And despite all my time in sports, I've never been overly interested in it. Although I know that's the lifeblood of any good college football program. I've never really been overly interested in it. I've always been a show me guy show me show me what you can do when you get to Ohio State show me how good you are when you get to the college level. Don't tell me how good you were in high school show me how good you are at this level. I know there are many people who can't wait to find out. What eighth grader is on the Ohio State buckeyes list for three years from now. I'm just not one of those people show me what you do when you get here. There have been any number of recruits who have come to Ohio State as a five star this or a four star that and they have fizzled out only to have their positions taken by a kid who was not as highly touted happens all the time. So I I wish all of these recruits who signed with Ohio State or wherever they may choose decide. I wish the ball. Well, I hope they all blossom into tremendous college football players. But the fact of the matter is they all can't be starters. They all can't be NFL prospects. Some of them are going to reach great heights. Some of them are going to exceed expectations and some of them will fall short. But it's days like this. And it used to be in February it used to be that first Wednesday in February. But it stays like this that make me scratch my head and say, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Let's pump the brakes on this a little bit. They're all tremendous high school football players. Everyone wants them to be great college football players and the little stars attached to their name. Tell us whether they have a better chance of doing that. Or not. But these kids are all making the transition some of them do it. Well, some of them do it easily some of them do not handle that transition. Very well. But I know a lot of you're just scanning Twitter today. I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait who they gonna get who's this guy. Let me tell you about. And we'll have the names for you as they roll in. And of course, we're watching for the big one. We're watching to see what Zach Harrison does I have not seen any indication on that yet. But when we get it. We will bring it to you right now, we will bring you, traffic and weather. We do it every ten minutes on the tens TempStar.
