Matt Katz reports those arrested by immigration and customs enforcement in New York have a chance to get a pro Bono lawyer paid for by the city or state. Cuomo says the center will provide more opportunities to youth in the community the young people out here need alternatives to the street. That we have to provide more training more recreation more jobs because too many people have lost their lives. The Bedford union armory has been slated for redevelopment for years. The website for developer BFCE partner says it's accepting bids for the recreation building until next week Cuomo's announcement accounts for more than half, the building's square footage and Steve Bannon is no longer headlining the two thousand eighteen New Yorker festival. The ex-chairman of Breitbart and former aide to President Trump was announced as part of the festival's lineup yesterday. The news sparked an immediate and intense backlash several high profile festival guests, including Judd appetite. "Well first of all the from a meteorological standpoint so many records broken i think the biggest thing i saw this morning which was a uh abstained from colorado state doctor phil clash buck is a uh posted some information on erma and there was more a key what we call accumulated cyclone energy it's a measure of several things not just the wind speed as the storm duration how long it's over water there was more we call eighths accumulated by this storm than at what is normal for an entire hurricane season in the atlantic and no other atlantic storm has accumulated more ace uh than erma so of course florida took a direct hit from this but we have to remember how long lived in how long this storm was a category five over the atlantic which also broke records when you look at the state of florida today where does it look like the worst of the damages well that's a difficult question and i was speaking last night to our florida public radio emergency network partners about how uh as we we're starting to see this thing wind down we are starting to provide some context to it it was certainly a a bad storm in one that's going to take weeks if not months to recover from an southwest florida but i think maybe the mit makes this unique and what i'm going to personally remember it four as a it when you when you think of damage and impact on a scale i'm not sure this was at the very top of the scale because of the way it took a more for further inland track but germany the you know the mid level that levelthree level 4type damage was widespread across florida i mean every county has power outages and trees down and go you know dealing with an aftermath that's going to also last for days if not weeks well what does it tell you that we've been talking to people in the keys today in marco island in naples and it does sound like they all feel like it could have been a lot worse what does it tell you that it isn't a lot worse.
