"But i want to try and do like almost like a full pixel style Grouse block and see what i can do with the the brian and green base plates for a nice have you. Are you familiar with the burp block in lego. I am not. What is that acronym. So it's a big rock piece is is the name of it and people that are building like lego cities or towns and they want like a backdrop or they need something they use these big ugly rock pieces to fill in the gaps between like their table having two different la- layers or Trying to create like a cliffside or something like that. so they've been Called burps because you don't usually get a lot of them in a lego sets. The people ordered them separately. That's one of those things that you find out when you're a lego nerd like me a google searches revealing lots to me at this point now. Yeah if nothing else even if you don't have them to use their good kind of like shape inspiration to then make those shapes out of your existing lego pieces. Yeah yeah definitely. Yeah i i'm i'm going to have to like i said i need a few more grey books here and there but i'm going to Can try my best to reproduce something. That looks a little bit naturalistic. And obviously with my. My manton is inspiration but taking some creative liberties for the sake of scale and my own sanity. How about you joel. How how's the citadel..

"The distinction between those three different peak arms is going to matter to nine thousand nine point nine percent of players. It's just down to us reading this. Change trying to interpret it as best. We can so while i recognize the it's it's a pain remembering now. Which one is the snow captain. Which one is the lofty like to to the play. Once you're in the game and once that this is a permanent feature of your world is just going to be the big manton over that you might even give it a name. And then it doesn't matter whether it's a lofty peak or a stony peak you're gonna just call it. You know snake mamta nowhere or whatever you wanna wanna call it right at that stage For the record. Because i think we have this down right now. The snowcapped peaks are the ones where you'll find snow and then blue ice almost like a kind of glassy formation. The stony peaks look like that more rounded. But they're made of stone rather than having a lot of snow. Deposits and then the lofty peaks of the jagged ones That that is it if anyone wants to correct me on that and then i'm i'm fairly certain that i've got that memorized now but i agree it is. It's a little awkward at first but it some his something though. I don't think he's gonna matter once we actually have them in the game. The main thing is right now with discussing all of them from a theoretical perspective and so right then the name sort of becomes something that we stumble over. And you know devil's advocate. Why not call. Lofty peaks jagged peaks. Do you know just adding description. There as you know would help. Depends whether or not the actually generate because minecraft does wade things when it comes the terrain generation. You you might find a peak that is quite told but isn't necessarily as jagged is all that because it's generated a certain way so i don't think they want to guarantee some of that stuff. It's like the way they changed the name of grim stone too deep slate because they didn't want the adjective grim to imply something that the player didn't want to know about that boy. The wanted to kind of imagination to kind of take over and project their own wishes onto it so lofty. I guess you know doesn't feel all that different to jagged but at least it's not being so descriptive that it's you know removing any other ideas the play might have about it anyway. I think that's probably why we need to wrap up this episode of the stolen chunks. Because i can. We can talk until the cows the goats potentially come home about some of this stuff. But in the meantime you can find more information about the show and links to some of the stuff we've talked.

"Wha if you think back when he was he was climbing he became a very good climber and he was trying to. He was competing and doing a lot of stuff. Then he had that accident. yeah. He taught finger. He chopped his finger off and what they're doing is they're telling all these story about how he's climbing up until the point before he dropped his finger off and you're like well. He's a crazy climber. He's very good. How do you how do you maneuver and grab onto these little things and this and that and then all of a sudden they go and say all and he's dropped his finger off by the way like hold on a second. Yeah it's imperative you. It's because you know he's gonna climb the wall and that's the whole documentaries and you sitting he thinking hold on a second. You're telling me these finger. Trump is a documentary about him actually climbing iming. I'm immersed wanna watch even more yet. Impressive pot about that was to kind of give people context with the finger like obviously with your index was these index finger at which bomb mechanically index finger. Proably along with your thumb which is more of an anti index finger does pretty much everything else. A god you are the three fingers. Okay so you got lucky for your first crease which is closest to you knuckle. And then you got your second cresa. That's essentially proximal or your district. Nfl joe joint. An he chopped off at the proximal. Which is the one closest to the to the knuckle. So he doesn't have the the The tip of his finger. Mind you you seventy is essentially. I don't know how big this thing is right. But essentially it's a flat piece of granite wall and you add extremely vertical extremely vertical then as a free climate would heavily rely on your fingertips. Yeah your fingertip. Because you're anchoring and then obviously every other muscle your body which they which they would use to climb this thing right and then i'm then like always you know because i'm not. How is he doing this biomechanically and looked at how he did it and he wanted to essentially was what he was doing is he's indexing was not doing anything at all. Yeah he's he was able to over time. Some hell able to train his middle finger to bend and land lamp with his thumb. Yeah it'll bend laterally which it doesn't because it only only flexes you middle finger right he somehow benz laterally and then does this over-extension with his thumb to cover up deficiency of his lower the lack of the in an index finger. Yeah it's just that alone. It's how how he's able to maneuver. It was like wow but then when you look at him climbing these wall you like that's even more well and like on some of these parts of the wall you've got like millimeters of shop rock protruding out which like and they literally rely on the tips of your fingers to just almost anger in ripon mischief fingernail. Yes and you like like that blew my mind and then you then you realize just how they go about climbing these wall and he and has spent the garnaut leading spend weeks planning seeing years. He spent yee's even going by himself. He went to the top of the manton he then climbs down by himself. Yeah and maps out the entire wall and goes okay. I've climbed they call it. "And that's why for me. It's frustrating that at this stage in the pandemic. You still have voices arguing a well. Now we've kind of we might split. Just let infection us to a population. But we've actually got so much more in a arsenal of combating infection than near the start depending. It seems extra pointless to make an argument like that to me. So i know that you have looked at st place tea and it talked about the that you see so wondered could be pickup quick tour through india in different states so go. Compilation are up. North there there The in states. So what did he see there. What has what were the policies. What would thanks. What do we know one. One thing about some states in india including the position behind is that actually the data is more limited so for example behind we have some mortality data It's not the highest quality but it's reasonable it's It tells us that there was a major surge in the state in mortality. It tells us that. Probably the number of people who have died is roughly as we would expect given the level of spread in the state which has been high. So it's a young stay behind so we would expect somewhat lower mortality than saying the southern states which tend to be older demographically but in behind there has been a surge mortality. We have some data from what the traditions well obtained by a what's called an audience is right to information kind of Request was manton someday. Tame but the data is of very poor quality it shows it appears to show again a major surgeon mortality during the pandemic. But i personally haven't felt comfortable actually using that data because there are major discrepancies with historical data. And what we find in official reports from say twenty nine thousand nine hundred so i kind of haven't felt comfortable using that but my suspicion is that you've probably had very high levels of mortality..

"Boom slipping up like that i. I couldn't agree more so all right. Gee you're you're less come. You're up to the podium. I mean terrible rebel to me is just a representation of war. We had going on before we even started recording. the podcast. our weekly check ins just having shots about all these different things. That were happening. In alive and spirituality and tara of course was the main topic. This is why it is terrible. Cost because he would have such amazing conversations about tower and all these different ideas we had and we were just bouncing off of one. Another in regards to watson cards manton what these different spiritual aspects presented in regards to tower or just in general so to me again. It's pretty much d. Repetition of what to review satis dee is out of the box of perspective and more than that is for me. It's the what. I would connect to his conversation and being able to be inspired and inspire somebody else to think in a way. That's out of the box. Allows you to be open minded. That allows you to explore. New ideas allows you to be just spiritually woke. I would say. I mean if that's a good term to use So is just kind of an out of the box thinking. And i think the first word that came to mind was conversation conversation conversation which is interesting because you wouldn't necessarily think of that but that's what it came to me as like. Yeah because that was the entire idea behind doing the cards. Just recording conversations that we would normally have an now geno being on his just another participant conversation and sharing ideas sharing knowledge that we know what we are exploring currently or once export someday and just inspiring people to maybe look at a sudden thing or explore a certain topic or sudden spiritual path or something not throwing anything in somebody's face or shoving anything down somebody's throat but just inspiring somebody to check out a new perspective or we think things and bring that sort of freshness and your experience to the table..

"Swamps speak swamps they now generate properly and they were generating in weird places before in experimental snapshot one so apparently swamps are happy. Now they've also re added some buyers that were missing in the previous generation such as spikes and eroded badlands underground are interfering less with the surface. They can still leak out of cave entrances sometimes though because the team thought they looked quite cool. They've increased the height of some mountain peaks. They can narrow each between y two twenty two to sixty but really they've slightly increase the chance of finding large areas with flat terrain in response to some people's reactions that experimental snapshot one was very hilly meadows will spawn a lone tree often with a monsters will now spawn in mountain volumes. We previously had Meadows and other manton volumes not having any multiples hostile multiple anatole emeralds and infested stone and are generating properly in the by. They've made all veins slightly larger and more frequent since few people seem to actually find them in survival structures. Now show up in. Mostly the right by oems and they've down mega cave. "Now other by owns leading towards those peaks for one thing and some of the hilly volumes being told kind of makes the mountain peak feel less dramatic and one of the things i liked in bedrock was that these mountains were visible from a distance because everything else was so flat but they were just monoliths and i think that stuff is really quite cool. It's also makes them more of a destination because at that point you're going to them for you know the view and the climbing experience but you're also going for resources because stuff above a certain. Why height is going to generate more coal and i and i think culpa and emerald as well. So there's there's going to be reasons to visit those mountains beyond just. Hey let me go and take a look at the world from the peak of this manton So i kind of think that those should stand out more. And i'm hoping that maybe a little bit of a boost in elevation for the mountain subway items that they've added is going to help that. I did run into a bunch of places where it was supposed to have generated some of those manton volumes but never got as far as a peak so i found a really cool basin made entirely out of meadow by homes around the outside but then in the middle of that was a crater in which there was a flower forest and since meadow meadows. Already have so many flowers to begin with it. Felt like the sort of cradle of these flowers was just in the center and that was that was really fun to to run into but it felt like it should have been building up towards hampton peak in the center of all of that and instead there was a a valley. It's cool that it can generate that way. But i'm looking forward to finding more enormous if they go that route with the final terrain jin. I feel like this is a thing because The one mountain that we did find with ice on it looks like the lofty peaks ones had a snowy tiga pulled down in the middle like a volcano And i've seen other I don't remember which content creators watching. But i've seen the similar thing happen where it looks like. It's going to go up and then there's a little dish at the start which looks like a like made for order minecraft based like mean. Why wouldn't you want there. Would you've got you've got snow for ice you. You can do all kinds of really cool stuff there like you mentioned you can just mind straight into the side of the mountain and get some resources because iron is going to be that high in the world now. That kind of stuff. I think is neat. But i agree that i didn't really run across the mountains holy nuggets. That is just impressive. Like i didn't quite get there but at the same time. I was still enamored by just a lot of the more subtle things i did. Notice that a lot of the reverse tended to make more sense l. Yeah yeah yeah including a frozen river that had cut through a mountain complete with like waterfall down to the next level and it would only require a little bit of player work to connect it and actually have it go down to a proper body of water down below that went on in the river cut through like a plane by our something really really cool stuff. I kind of wonder like we've brought it up on the show. I think it's something that you've been champing at the bit for a while and that is you know. More realistic rivers starting high in the terrain and flowing down and it would be really cool to have that kind of stuff you know..

His then girlfriend who he claimed had died of cancer was actually not a real person and so don this is just one of the strangest sports stories. All the last decade i would contend ever actually so what made you wanna revisit. The story of mankind tail for backstory. Because all these years later there's so many questions that have lingered don van natta is a pulitzer prize winning reporter and host of the espn docu series. Back story. remember. We all bought into this incredible fable. And that's the word for it. It was a story that was too good to be true. Tale elected to come back for his senior season. Not only will he leave. That program has one of its greatest defensive players but also as one of its most beloved the media swooned over it as fans we all loved it and then we found out it was completely false. Notre dame says tale has told them he's been the victim of a hoax perpetrated by others. What do you make of this with raises questions about why the media fell for the story. Were there warnings at anti had during that autumn that maybe he set aside. I would argue. Pablo that all these years later. We still have these questions about whether anti was complicit or not. What did manton know. And when did he know it. And so for me. And for the backstory team. The whole conceit of the series. Go back on sports stories. You think you know we felt. "A here's grew by manton gestures on the show. You're looking at me and you didn't know you're gonna talk about me so i figured i bet you to be in that boat average. How you it'd be good to be the man for this doesn't have to do with be bill. This is just person person on that you finally mono this is way different interesting. A different thing going on very nice. Thank you love her. I'm grateful free to bombie ever for. How does gratitude impact your life makes me take the back end realized just how grateful i am for life in the life that i'm living in have currently have dislikes. I mentioned those things. I was grateful for so. I think it's just taking a step back in realizing what's really going on and not just running through all the motions. Gratitude is good too. It's like a reality check on a thing owned you got and why should be excited to have it absolutely. I love that for me for my answer similar i would say it's a grounding kind of impact like what you're saying helps me focus on what matters most which is the teachable. Lessons learned right in love in our relationship of silver sixteen years together. All the things that we've learned together has been truly remarkable. All we continue to learn. I mean really. We're practically strangers right because technically doesn't your body all it. All the cells. Like re lay dying then rear remains technically. You're multiple versions of yourself throughout your life right. Oh yeah you're never you're not the same you century child. All the cells are replaced their technically still growing as a purchase. Copy of yourself creepy. Very your ability to copy gets worse over time. How nice to mention just putting out here. That's the truth. That's why we age. That's all it's about just adding up as we get. What do you think we don't look like our baby so the copies of different because we're trying to see there's that then also unlimited opportunity guys we live in a world where you can do and be whoever you want and if you don't believe that to be true that is your belief that is not a reality. That is your reality in your mind so if you believe that on unlimited opportunities around you you need to be grateful for that and you need to speak that language of the universe that i was saying earlier and really hone in and attach yourself to whatever opportunities you want to come your way as well as opportunity that you're willing to create for yourself and your family and your lifestyle so definitely that and then also i'm super you know grateful and grounded by the idea that like we have the ability to do good to be a positive influence in this world because the world is what we make it right and when people are like. Oh my gosh. This world is so easy crazy. Well that's because of us. It's not happening to us. It's happening for us so the decisions we make in the people you decide to be every day is literally reflection of what this world is so if the world is seems like naughty. It's because we happen to be naughty people and we need to learn to change our mindset. Change decision i rebut the view of the world but some people do people view. The world is evil. And i think that's absolute insanity considering you can go outside and not be murdered. Everywhere is the same the same there. Buzz there's zero challenges. A lot of creature comforts. It does most of us experience and we don't even grown are grateful that knowledge that you can go into a store and you're on the true are of this. Nah no i mean. We have all different experiences but either way. It's not just guess what that's not the. That's not the mass experience. That's not that i in every year. That's just a piece of the world. Right so i hate when people say that the world is just an evil because that's crazy because we have so much order that goes on that people agree to and we don't even have to agree to it. We just decided. Hey let's follow it but if everybody said all right we're not gonna follow society. We're going to be anarchist. It will be hectic. And then i'd say yeah then the world it seems innately evil. Because you can't even form a society where people agree upon rules. So we do that. So that's why. I don't believe in that and mainly world is evil. There's things the fix but the world is a pretty i mean. It's it's on a positive flux. it's just that people do some bad things and we're figuring out ways to kind of stop that and what's and that's what's hard is forgot. What's the best way to go about that and still get people. Freedom is interesting how you don't value like you don't see the negative impact as more overtaking. The positive yeah. I feel like the world is more positive. Because they're who literally gratitude. And how. But i think it's a lack of gratitude passively at fascinating because you always look for the worst and things and expect the universe and bring me for that. Yeah you need to actually try to find and seek out the good then. You might figure out how to make things better how to get that absolutely i. I always go against that. The world is an eight level. Let's seems like a load of crap because those are the same people that have the doomsday. You know in ten years. The world is going to end never happens. So that's why those people i think are just on the wrong case. The world is on a positive uptick. And we're trying to make things better. There's people that set us back a bit but we're still go. We're still moving forward and it's not this doomsday doom and gloom question five. Do you believe in starting your day with a gratitude list. If so why yeah. So i i think on blog or an article years ago oprah said she starts her day have really thinking about what she's grateful for and what she feels blessed about and to be honest if queen is doing something i mean. I really would love to argue. I'd love to see someone argue. Why they shouldn't take that advice in that tape. That can approach to starting your day and generally i think for me. Starting the day thinking positively about what. I'm grateful for really sets a tone for the day. A i feel very happy. I feel really blessed. And then also there's a level of joy that is now inserted in my mind and then in the day because it's like that's that i have these three things i'm excited for and these are three things i wanna do. So let's make it happen. And if you think about the alternative to thinking about all the things you're feeling upset about or would say that our flaws in your life or flaws in society are not going to make you feel better. It's a set tone of positivity enjoy. So i say running towards gratitude and embrace it and hold onto it every single day and i agree with that because it has helped me attract more things i want in my life so i say i'm going to keep doing what works because i i want more of what i want. I don't want stuff that i don't want right. So let me keep attracting. The things i want and starting with the day with the gratitude list helps question number six. What is the relationship between gratitude. Success you might think that gratitude follow success. But i think it's actually the opposite once. You're thankful for goals. I think it opens you up to achieve those goals. That's how.

But your eyes upon the things of the world if your eye is upon things that God has condemned here in this life. But that is what we're seeking after. That is what are our life is is looking for. He, says the whole body is full of. This. And he's talking about that spiritual darkness that your whole body is full of spiritual darkness. Do you WanNa be filled with spiritual light? Or spiritual darkness. We have the choice friends. We can. Choose to accept Jesus Christ. And if we choose accept him, he will choose to accept us. And, then we will be in that light and we will not be in that darkness that spiritual darkness says. He'd therefore the light which is in the be not darkness. Now, that goes back to where I think there is people and I know this is happening throughout the world today that there's people that think that they have that light. But they are walking in darkness. Why do you? Why do you say that he says in the scripture that? There is people. That will be will come up to him. And be saying Lord we done all these things we walked in him calling him Lord Lord. Say I know you're not. That's the ones that the light that they think they. How is darkness? But. And that true light that shines only and those that have truly accepted him doesn't matter where they are who they are wherever they are in the world if they have truly accepted Jesus Christ. And repented of their seeing and how full faith and trust in him. He can give them at light. Hey if the whole body therefore be full of light having no part darkness the whole shelby full of light as when the bright shining of a candle death give the give the light. and. We see that today we may not see it as a candle. But we we know and understand. That, we can walk into a room today that is totally pitch black dark and you can't see anything. But if you flip switch over there on the wall and there's a light in there, ended illuminates the whole room so that it is full of light. Now, there is no darkness in that room at all all the way to the corners it is full of light, and that's what he says that our body can be our spiritual body if we are filled with the spirit of the Holy Ghost, that's what the way it will be with us that there will be no part dark remember that no part dark. And our spiritual life. It'll be filled just as that room to all four corners. Now, there's things that you can put in there that you could put in that room that my. Delight in one corner, they're saying that you can get in your spiritual life that can create darkness in part of that. But. We will keep it clean. And keep all of the rubbish shallow. The wicked rubbish out of our life. Bad light will be full. The entire part of our body will be filled with light just as that entire room is filled with light. If we keep it all everything out of it so that the light is going to all corners. And as he spoke of certain fair city brought him. Beside him to dine with him he went in and he sat down at me. and. "So that is I still like the movie though, I still really liked it. Yeah. I feel like DC did a better job on this hero superhero film, and the other ones that have been before we'll see I had low expectations coming in. But I was entertained. This was an entertaining movie that to me is more entertaining than some of the other DC films. Yeah. So if you're trying to take your kids like, maybe you're still on break or something or you're ending your Christmas break going into the new year wanna take the family out to go. See a film. This is pretty good for older children. Yeah. Good Sam Lee. It's entertaining. You know, even though all the cringe things we've mentioned I was still entertained show. It was a little long. Yes. A little long coulda gotten rid of black Manta. Yeah. But the scene when aquaman is on a submarine at the very beginning. I thought that was a very good see that his character. But yeah, then they have black Manta, which is unnecessary villain. But they're just setting up for the next film that I said is just going to the next sequel with black Manta in the beginning of that they could have left him at the rest and author men to. Yeah. Well, they did sorry posing scene. And I feel like they could just done Manton the beginning. And. Yeah. That would have been enough. Yeah. And then set it up for also I did not get away the post credits scene. You're still going to want to see it gonna want to stay through the credits to see. Right. But that definitely would have set up an aquaman part two into still have villain in there. But we're gonna take another break and then come back and talk about wonder woman. What happens to your decision making when you drink? Well after one drink you feel confident a few more and calling your exit one A M seems like a great idea. And you're pretty sure the secret to a great taco is for day-old macaroni the bottom line drunk. You doesn't make great decisions. "Probably get through you and your jerk boss. Yeah. I just I suppose, I suppose what would be the wrong way to approach that that horrible situation. Just to spend a lotta time on why is this happening to me or? Will be more about anger than solutions. I don't know how he applied it then that situation which one solution or war. Yeah. That's a tough one survive. I guess well, that's why it's such a good laboratory, I suppose I'd like to read more about what Admiral Stockdale Manton what he thought. And what thoughts stayed in his head more productive because it's it's adversity. None of us can imagine. If it the rooted is gratitude, and you're keeping your mind at all times, all the horrible things that could be going on in the world. You could honestly say I've got it just about as bad as anybody on the entire planet right now. I'm getting pretty close. Of seven billion people. There's only a handful of people who could say let me tell you about my situation. And I've never been closer that I generally as an American who's at a pretty good life. I'm in the top tiny percentage of people on the planet. If you're at the very bottom percentage, and you can make it work that must mean something about that philosophy. But now that's gotta be interesting on its own to think about as bad as situations. Anybody on earth right now. That is gotta be mind blowing this is gonna make a great story. Yeah. Ooh. Should I survive it? Yeah. We should link that article about one of the great life hacks of all time stoicism, I think it's pretty interesting..

"Get a guy's ready to hear a story. I'm super excited to tell you this story because this story with actually requested by Kinton from Canada. Now, when he made the request, he was five, but it was a little while ago said Kenton if you have since ten, six, happy birthday. And I'm sorry that it took so long for me to this story. Kenton Ossis for a story about mining quences. And after a little bit of debate, I decided to go for an old school fairytale for you. Then it's a little bit longer the now normal stories and it gets a little bit scary, but not too scary are really hurt, pielach it, and I really, really enjoyed writing it. So this story obviously is written by me and it's cold. The stone goblins of Norden hype, you lack. There was once a great mountain. One of the tallest mansions in the world not only was the mountain very toll, but it was also very wide and very deep so tall and so wide was the mountain that it stretched from one kingdom in the north down through to others and finished in fourth kingdom in the south, the kingdom's that surrounded it when Nordin, sir, est- and oust. These full kingdoms Austin found it difficult to get along. For example, the people of northern code, the mountain, Deb those from sir, coated non Tanna. The estimates coded lamb Tiga and the people of aalst cold mountain latte, Montek ni in the past. They had been great wars fought between them all for the time. Being however thing. Things between the kingdoms, painful and time wanted along quietly. The people went on with their lives. This story is about one of those people and his name is William William lived with his mama and Papa right at the base of Dubuque in northern his Papa was a coal miner and every day he would get up early with the sun, eat a big wreck vist and then climb up the mountain to the mine because Debbie was so very toll, and they village was so very close to it. The sun only shown in the sky until just after the middle of the day, after that the sun would slowly dip below the very top peak of the mountain and the day would get Dhaka and Dhaka. This meant that the knights were very long and cold Williams. Papa was always careful to be home before the sun was completely behind the mountain before the. Shadows took over the country. Everyone who lived close to the mountain, knew that they had to be home before it was dunk. There was an old legend about the starring Kubota the stone goblins creatures who lived in the mountain that would made of rock and covered in moss. And if they found you on the Manton after doc. Well, let's just say you infra some trouble because of the stern goblins each mine had assembled spotter a man whose job it was to seat outside the mine and watch for the moment. The sun touched the very tip of the Tolleson peak of David. As soon as he saw this happen, he was to blow his horn into the mind, which was the signal for the men to put down their tools and begin the journey down the mountain to their homes. Willem his Papa said to him one morning before kissing him goodbye and making his way up the mountain. The king is coming to inspect the mind today. If you come up and seat in the forest by the road, just before the morning break, you'll be able to see him and all of his nuts rod by Willem smiled. He loved seeing the kings nuts. When he grew up, he wanted to be not. His mama told him that he would have to work very hard and be very lucky for that to happen as the king only took the bravest and kindest of his men to be not. But Willem was determined one day he would be a not. Not as he still had
