"And those races came in a maiden special weight at Saratoga won by over ten in a stakes race at aqueduct one by nearly two lengths, came back in a stakes race at aqueduct against state bred competition, didn't run great, but I thought last time in the demoiselle ran pretty well finishing third one length behind the winner Julia shining, the horse that finished between Julia shining and gambling girl that day was affirmative lady who's in here for Graham motion, a $400,000 daughter of arrogate. And I thought that second place performance off at over 7 to one in that race was really a game one actually had the lead with about a 16th of a mile to go couldn't hold on lost by a neck affirmative lady in that race went off at 7 to one and gambling girl was off at about 9 to one that day and then the one horse that I haven't mentioned yesterday Aniston Todd pletcher $550,000 daughter of kerlin first timeout didn't run great at an aqueduct last time out against maidens and aqueduct ran very, very well going a mile and an 8th. Do you find the jockey situation on the two and the three interesting Bobby? Manny Franco rode the two the presumed favorite in this race last time and shifts to Graham motions affirmative lady, the number three in cure, and it's not as though Chad Brown uses Dylan Davis a ton. It seems to me that Franco may have had the choice which doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Yeah, as far as I know, I don't think that Dylan Davis has written a Chan round horse in the last couple of months. So I looked at this, it doesn't make sense to me either because why would Manny Franco get off a Chad Brown runner who looks very logical unless he had to commit early to affirmative lady for this race, maybe he committed to her for this race before a cult, even broke her maiden last time out, is that possible or certainly before a cult and the connections thought about this race because I don't think he would ever take off the two to ride. Listen, nothing against Graham motion. He's a great trainer. He wins a lot of races. Manny Franco's not getting off a Chad Brown favorite to ride for somebody else. It doesn't matter who else is training that other horse. He's riding the Chad Brown runner. So my guess is that they had to commit to affirmative lady before they knew that occult was running or probably even knew that a coat was this good. Meanwhile, Dylan Davis writing as well as anyone in New York right now. I know that Manny Franco had the big win streak last weekend, but overall Dylan Davis is having a phenomenal meet interesting that affirmative lady is a maiden that kind of tells you the quality of this field. She's a three race maiden who's 9 to 5 in the morning line in a points qualifying Kentucky oaks qualifier. Tells you it's not the strongest field we've ever seen, but I'm going to pick a cult. Who's your top selection? Well, I think a cult is going to go off at even money and affirmative lady's going to be two to one or something along those lines. And I'm going to take the price off affirmative lady, but I'm with you. It is not an incredibly strong field and there are several that are worth contention. Let's head down to the Bayou featured race tomorrow at fairgrounds is the $100,000 Nelson Jane Menard memorial. These are Phillies and mayors going to sprint about 5 and a half furlongs on the turf course. We've got 8 of them going to post. That's the max that they're running on the turf course right now at fairgrounds. 13 were entered 8 will run. Morning line favorite is the 7 at two to one for Chris block and Jared love berry. Good luck with that pronunciation. I assume it's our of Waller, is it not? It could be. Okay, well, I think R of war is going to be engaged in a paste tool in this race with number three astute. I think they are both very, very logical, contenders in here are of war has been facing better and has been running competitively and has been winning and makes a lot of sense. But I don't really trust the Hawthorne form the last time out at fairgrounds was pretty good, but those last three races are all on dirt. This is a turf race. Now are of water has plenty of good turf races they've just come at colonial and at Hawthorne. This is a horse that wants 7 out of 8 races in 2002. We'll see against this sort of field. I fear that R of war and astute who is trained by Brad Cox and ridden by Raj Giroux coming off a very, very long layoff since May of 21 getting Lasix for the first time. I think they might be winging it on the front end and it might set up for something to come off the pace and there were a couple that I looked at very seriously. Number 8 a Booker bay, I thought the race a Keenum last time, I mean, it's a career best race, but it was pretty good. And if you got any continued progress from that, maybe you have a winner, but my choice is violence number four for Brendan Walsh and Corey lanni, who just never gets bet, but I think a new barn here and a new rider or going to help. And I think this is a horse that's been running against excellent horses and is actually dropping down a little bit and it's going to find this group to his hiking or to her liking. All right, so violenza for you, by the way, I looked it up. It's over. And so it's not or of war, the different word over, which apparently means the lifetime work of like an artist or a composer or something like that. Now that we know that, can we pick a winner? I don't know, and I like you. I'm going to try to beat over who certainly in good form right now. I went to the two touch of class who was won over the turf course at fairgrounds, tried the dirt last time out simply to me, looks like she's a much better mayor on turf than she is on dirt and her previous try against two other than allowance competition to keenland, was very, very good, and I think good enough to beat this field, so touch of classes 8 to one on the morning line is going to be my choice touch of class for me via lens up for day, both trying to beat over who's the two to one morning line favored favorite rather in the Menard memorial featured race race 8 tomorrow at the fairgrounds. We're going to take another break. Dave mentioned that great card at Tampa Bay downs tomorrow. They've got three stakes in all. We'll look at them in the next segment. This is the weekend stakes preview on the horse racing radio network. Looking for some excitement

"Town branch wanted to get out of that gate and boy diddy. He catches a flyer and goes right to the front from royal king. Ready shoes and life on the Nile. Plausible denial away in 5th on the move into third. Then comes kingmaker and Cronus followed by at the back of the pack both shuffle dance and magnificence shuffle dance, something's not going right with him. It looks like he is going to be eased up going into the far turn. So town branch is the leader and he's kept off the rail. There's an opening if plausible denial wants to go through under Tyler bays and he's going to make that move. So town branch leads three quarters of a length. Plausible denial and life on the Nile are second and third, a length to ready shoes joined by royal king. Two and a half back to kingmaker and Cronus then comes magnificus top of the stretch town branches being confidently handled. He leads life on the Nile in royal king, town branch up the top of the turn and he leads the length. Royal king is second, plausible denial did not go on. Center of the racetrack kingmaker is moving. And here comes kingmaker with good-looking strides, plausible denial is trying to re rally through from the inside. Meanwhile, town branch has the lead. Plausible denial is catching now from the inside. Town branch plausible denial town branch. In front, town branch beat plausible denial kingmaker was third in royal king, finished fourth. Horses that were out in front kept on going once again today, the favorite number one town branch you heard it there from Vic stauffer. He wasn't real comfortable in the starting gate, but he was ready when the gates opened, popped the gate sent to the lead by Francisco Arrieta who comes up with another win on today's card. This one wired wire fashion aboard town branch who was making his 9th start of his racing career and let's see. Francisco Arrieta now I believe with back to back winners on today's card yet that's so town branch gets out and goes plausible denial looked like he had every chance on the inside. He ran a good race. He simply was second best today. One, three, 7, 9 odd numbers, one, two, three, four. Top four finishers in that 7th race at Oakland park. We'll get you those prices in just a few minutes. As we came out a break, we heard the stretch run of the Busan back in 2019, we're always shopping, got the job done with Manny Franco aboard. This year's edition of the bus sanda is the featured race tomorrow at aqueduct. And to be perfectly honest, it's not the greatest you sand the field. We've ever seen. There's just a field of 5 in there. The morning line favorite is a cult who's coming off a nice maiden win last time out in just a second start of her career. So jumping up against stakes caliber competition tomorrow, although is it really stakes caliber competition? That's where the question mark is because the second choice on the morning line, affirmative lady. Although she was second in the grade two demoiselle last time out, she's a maiden, and she's already over three in her career. I don't think that the two year old Philly steaks at the end of last year in New York and this three year old Philly steak. The bus Santa tomorrow are the top of the heap so far from what we've seen from now the newly turned three year old females. They certainly I don't think would scare anyone who likes hoosier Philly for time. Amos who looks like she's 15 links faster than anyone in this field. Breeders cup juvenile Philly champ wonder wheel who, by the way, made news, but she's reported back to training as it were for Mark Cassie and she is back working at Cassie's training center and I guess looking forward to a race somewhere in Florida and looking like a two race kind of build up before hopefully running into Kentucky oaks is wonder wheel. None of the Phillies and the busana tomorrow look like wonder wheel or hoosier Philly yet. But this is an important race. It's actually the only points race on the road to the Kentucky oaks or Kentucky Derby this weekend. There are no Kentucky Derby points races this weekend anywhere around the globe. None of them. This is one of only two weekends where there aren't any Kentucky Derby points qualifiers. This weekend and march 18th, 19th. There are none. Every other weekend between now and when the Lexington stakes is run in April at keenland, there is at least one Derby points qualifier on the dock at somewhere. So we do have an oaks qualifier tomorrow and the Busan. The winner of the race gets ten points on the road to the Kentucky oaks. And then after the busana, we pretty much go into start building up as far as the points go where the winners get 20 points. And so on. And of course, they pay down to 5 spots now instead of four in all of these oaks and Derby qualifiers. So the busanda, which is one of 11 races that Dave Friedman and I will discuss in tonight's weekend stakes preview takes place tomorrow at Belmont. Belmont at aqueduct and it's just a field of 5. It's not the best museum in the field we've ever seen. There's a gigantic question mark in the race. And if Dave doesn't bring it up during the weekend states preview, I will bring it up. So

"Off the rail with her run, getting warmer and goes wide. And here comes all the way shopping. Always shopping, takes the lead from Billy Joel. Getting warmer is drifting well out into the center of the track and coming through on the inside late as a fleet destiny. It is always shopping, Billy Joel, trying to battle on, but always shopping's got it. Always shopping in the busana by Ellington a half over Philly Joel. Then a fleet destiny and miss Maryland. Larry Coleman on the call 2019 edition of the bus Santa won by always shopping always shopping getting the job done, Manny Franco. Getting the job done aboard all the way shopping. There was a carry over in today. It was hit, so starting fresh as they get ready tomorrow. All right, our next live race will come from the great race place. San Anita and that's a little bit of a news story in itself, not the fact that they're running today at San Anita. By the way, 65° cloudy skies. Main track fast turf course good as they prepare for this third race at San Anita. They are expecting a boatload of rain tonight and especially tomorrow and all day and night tomorrow. They are expecting so much rain and they've gotten bad weather in Southern California over the last few weeks. It's been pretty well chronicled on any news station you watch. But they're getting enough rain tomorrow, where they're expecting enough rain that they've already canceled Saturday's program. In fact, the news came out yesterday that tomorrow's card would not be run. The featured race tomorrow at San Anita was to be the grade three la Canada. They brought it back as an extra, which means an additional race to what's written in the condition books. This is a normal thing. If you haven't don't know what I'm talking about, basically, every racing office in the country, they'll put out a condition book or a condition sheet, 9 or ten races that they're going to, those are the races that they would like to fill for those days. And every day they will come up about 24 hours ahead of time with extras for that day. Additional conditions that, listen, if these ones in the book, if we don't get enough horses for them, we're going to look at these other conditions to try to make run. And depending on where you are, there could be three or four extras each day, there could be 20 extras, depending on how good or not so good racing office is doing at getting their races to fill. So it's a normal thing for there to be an extra. What generally will happen is obviously the racing offices want to use the races that are in the books because they're timed out a certain way where this race is two and a half or three weeks ahead of another race that would be similar. That kind of a thing and it makes it easier for everyone. Plus, but they also want the races with the most amount of horses entered running. So it makes it kind of a tough go and it makes it where owners and trainers and it's kind of it's a tough relationship that racing offices and racing secretaries themselves have with owners and trainers because you just can't please everybody. There's never been a racing secretary out there that has not made at least a few enemies along the way because everyone wants what's best for them. And no one feels like they're getting what's best for them. And it just is what it is. But the racing offices and the racing secretaries are doing the best that they can and sometimes that doesn't make everybody happy. So back, the grade three la pinata, which was supposed to run tomorrow, they decided to bring it back as an extra race. That they would draw for they would draw at entry time yesterday for Sunday's entries and lo and behold the race went and it is going to be run on Sunday. Now, that being said, they are supposed to run on Sunday at San Anita. They're all supposed to also supposed to run on Monday at Santa Anita. It's supposed to rain a little bit on Sunday too, and it's supposed to rain a lot Sunday Night. And pretty much Monday. And San Anita sometime in the last 5 or 6 years has aside from the fact that this is going to be a horrible storm tomorrow. And it's perfectly understandable. San Anita has shown that they are allergic to running when they're a raindrops. For some reason, the track doesn't hold up terrain. I don't know what it is. I grew up in Southern California. I've been to the tracks many times at San Anita and Hollywood park on rainy days, not that it rained tremendous amount in Southern California, but I've been to a lot of days at the track at Santa Anita and Hollywood park when they were sloppy and off the turf. Now if they sniff rain, a week in advance, they cancel racing and they reschedule.

"There are speed from desserts on the red cap is down towards the inside. There's midlander holding that rail position in the center of the racetrack as king Angelo in between horses here comes handsome cat. That's the leading for Ryan's cat and it's going to be wide here is 12th man, ship station is going to be 5 wide up the back stretch, my genera is the trailer, they're chasing xerxes and xerxes, got the lead, zert is alone up front is up by a clear length. Right there in second is the favorite king Angelo, midlander, tightly at the rail in third as they approach four for a long step to go. 22 and three for the opening quarter miles desserts will take them into the far turn. King Angelo and perfect stalking position from second Midland are still tight at the rail in third, the rail looks to be open here for midlander who tries to poke on through. 12th man is rallying on from fourth in between horses, there is handsome cat, Ryan's cat is losing some ground ship stational maggia nera has trailed throughout as they approach a quarter mile left to go 46 and one was that half Bao time, three across the racetrack, the rail is open for midlander, king Angelo's got the lead in between horses. There is 12th man out in the center of the racetrack as well, but king Angelo has now kicked clear king Angelo is up by a quick length and a half call it two for a final furlong in between horses here. It's a battle on for places. Handsome cat is there with 12th man midlander at the rail, but this one's over. King Angelo Manny Franco striding away and they will win the finale easily king Angelo gets the victory tight here for a second, it's a photo, midlander is in there with handsome cat and also 12th man. In woman at 17.98 seconds. Public had this one correct, the favorite number 8 king Angelo getting a perfect trip under Manny Franco stalking the early pace of joining that one as they approached the top of the stretch and then just kicking away and winning very impressively in just under one minute, 18 seconds for the 6 and a half furlongs, no doubt about the winner king Angelo. He won by daylight. As you heard there in the call, a tight photo for the runner up position, there were three of them in that place photos. So too tight to call there, but three to two, the off odds on king Angelo and Manny Franco getting his first winner on today's card. It comes in the last race. All right, we are going to take a break when we come back. We'll get you the prices for race 6 at Oak Lawn park. Hopefully we'll have the prices for the finale to aqueduct. We'll head back out to San Anita for the first time today. This is betting with Bobby on HR N.

"From in between horses there comes uncle moonlight is going to be in the early fray. With the early mix and also manor house is there tightly bunched here as they get set to come out of the chute. Outlier in Luis Bautista wants to push on through here is going to challenge uncle moonlight they're now a clear one too with no matter how progressing up on the outside comes lost in Rome is moving right there with bourbon calling as they are going to line up 5 across the racetrack here in that opening quarter. I am the law is now back to the 6th position as watching the action with senior investment as losing some ground. Here's when it from the back end of the field and the trailer. Kurland's wisdom still a scramble on 5 across the racetrack here. They went 23.23 for that opening quarter mile backing up a little bit there is outlier. It's now uncle moonlight who's still in front, uncle moonlight with a nose in front, but they get ready to pounce up on the outside, manor house is right there, also lost in Rome. Bourbon calling is going to be four Y, but it is rallying on here is coming after the leaders and bourbon calling has put a nose in front. When it is the big gray up on the outside is going to have a wide run, has some momentum outlier is shifted towards the outside as well. Senior investment, I am the law, the trailer kurland's wisdom, 46 seconds flat for a half mile time, a quarter mile left to go and bourbon calling us kick for home. It is bourbon calling in front. Uncle moonlight is a clear second when it is now within range as bourbon calling us trying to put it away, but when it is bounding up on the outside, a less than a for long to go, it's bourbon calling Manny Franco looking for 6 win it and Kendrick Carmouche trying to deny him, bourbon calling almost air, win it at the line bourbon calling many Franco gets his 6th win on the afternoon. When it was a game second, then came I am the law and uncle moonlight in one minute 37.31 seconds. I'd officially ten, 5, four, three in the 9th and final at aqueduct Manny Franco continues. The hot hand he gets his 6th win on the card unofficially as bourbon calling bet down from 12 to one to about 5 to one at post time way out in the center of the track and probably drifting out a bit with win it on his outside. We'll see if they take a look at it, but I think that was the best place to be when it still had every chance to get on by, but bourbon calling a little too much covers the mile in one 37 and one. Once again, 5 to one the all thoughts on bourbon calling ten 5 four three, the unofficial top four in the 9th and final at aqueduct. All right, we're going to take a break. When we come back, we'll get you paid for the finale at aqueduct and we'll look forward to more live racing at both Santa Anita and Oak Lawn. This is

"They just went official at both San Anita and Oklahoma park, about 20 minutes to go till the next at Santa Anita 23 minutes for the 7th at Oakland. They're on the track in warming up for the finale at aqueduct. 9th and final race on the Friday afternoon. If you're a fan of Manny Franco today is your day. You should have been playing. He's already won 5 races on today's card at aqueduct. This 9th and final race, by the way, 47° in Queens, New York, mostly cloudy skies. They've had some showers on and off throughout the afternoon. The track has been sloppy all day. 9th raised one mile, a one turn mile optional claiming allowance event. These are four year olds and up non winners of two other than or in for a claiming tag of $62,500 scratch. The one, no burn. We've got 9 of them going to post in here. The ones who were getting the most money right now, the favorite is number 9 kurland's wisdom for the team of Linda rice and Jose lezcano sources not been worse than second in any of his most recent 6 starts. All of them against a little bit softer than what he's going to see today other than he did run in the empire classic. It was a race against state breds that day, but he ran a good second. He's coming off a win against a of the then competition last time out taking the logical step up to this non winners of two other than competition today. 7 in the money appearances from 8 career starts on the main track at aqueduct and over all he's been in the money 13 of 15 lifetime starts. So not that I'm encouraging people to play show bets, but if you're show wagering on horse like kurland's wisdom, you're probably ahead of the game because by the way, he's very rarely favored in his races. He keeps running good races and other than last time where he was the three to two favorite. He has not been favored in his other 9 of last ten starts. So kurland's wisdom is being bet to try to get the job done once again. This time for the second time in a row. The second choice on the board number 5 win it for John Kimmel and Kendrick Carmouche taking a significant drop in class from the discovery handicap last time out where he finished a decent fourth behind eloquence and barista and naval aviator now back in against allowance foes, two starts back, he beat a other than competition pretty easily by some two lengths as the 5 to two favorite that day. His lone start on a wet racetrack was last time out in the discovery and even though he didn't hit the board that day. Speed rating rise, he ran about as well as he runs on a fast track. He just ran against tougher competition. So I'm not sure if the sloppy track is going to hurt his chances or not. I would think it would not, as far as the favorite kern's wisdom goes, he's been on a wet race track or an off track, which an off track is anything that's not listed fast. So technically a good racetrack is listed counts as off and you know if you've been playing this game long enough that there are good racetracks sometimes look as dry as a fast racetrack. You know, it's just it's kind of a judgment call and it might be the race before they upgraded to fast or the race before they downgraded to sloppy, something like that. But kurland's wisdom has been in the money for a 5 tries on tracks rated off so the two favorites have experience with that. If you're not interested in those, the other ones who are getting the most play number four, I am the law for John terranova and Jose Gomez coming off back to back wins once against one against starter car allowance competition. One against a other than level allowance competition. So we just continues up the ladder. By the way, he beat kurland's wisdom in that a other than win back on December 2nd and kurland's wisdom came back and beat those kind of that kind of competition in his subsequent start. But kurland's wisdom getting more money once again than I am the law. Also number ten bourbon calling getting a lot of play. He was 12 to one on the morning line. He's down to 9 to two right now, for Antonio arriaga and Manny Franco coming off a good second at the $32,000 claiming level last time out. So first off the claim for Antonio arriaga who does just fine in these scenarios winning about 1718% of the time, Manny Franco gets on board for the first time. I wonder how much of this money is playing the hot hand. I think we see this a lot with the real top riders, the irad Ortiz Joel Rosario flavian Pratt, those, you know, the guys that seem like they're going to get better all the time. I'm not sure if I've seen this normally with Manny Franco. But Manny Franco gets aboard and once again, he's already won 5 races on the card today at aqueduct, and there are more people than expected to obviously think that he has a chance to get the job done for win number 6 aboard bourbon calling who has not won in a while, no wins in 2022, no wins in 2021. Prior to that, he had 5 wins from 21 starts. Unfortunately, he's over his last 11, at least in this race. We'll see if he can get the job done today. He has run on a wet track three times in his career, no wins, no seconds, two third place finishes to his credit, but I like the outside love, I would rather be outside than inside for these elongated sprints, you know, 7 furlong 7 and a half, one mile where it's one turn. I just think it's better to be able to go in the gate last, not have to worry about anyone crossing over from your outside and you've got so much run until you get to the turn and have to get positioned. I think the outside usually is where you want to be. It doesn't mean you can't win from the inside, but I like the outside runners in general post position wise. Let's go out to aqueduct for the finale. Speed from in between horses there comes uncle moonlight is going to be in the early fray. With the early mix and also manor house is there tightly bunched here as they get set to come out of the chute.

"Aqueduct for their featured event of the afternoon. This is the Chelsea flower two year old Phillies going a mile and a 16th on the turf. And the turf is rated firm today at aqueduct, just a field of 6 here going to post all eyes on number one tax implications for Chad Brown and Manny Franco was bent down to 8 to 5 in her career debut at Monmouth. That was back about a month and a half ago in September, came from about four and a half lengths off the pace to win by almost 7 very impressive turn of foot for tax implications. Speed figure wise, it did not come back as strong as it looked when you were watching the race. And when you look at the PPs for tax implications, it looks like a very impressive past performance line. And when I say that horses that go to the lead are in front by a length and front by a length in front by a length and win by a head, it doesn't look as impressive as a first time starter that's 5 links back at the first call and 6 and three quarters lengths in front at the wire. That's an impressive looking line. But speed figure wise, it tax implications, the race that she won did not come back significantly better if better at all than some of these other Phillies here. Now, I think they wanted to get tax implications to the breeders cup juvenile Phillies turf, and it just did not work out. She probably just got going a little bit too late and wasn't going to be able to get in the field qualifications wise. So as it turns out, you hate to have to say that you have to settle for this $120,000 Chelsea flower, but I think that's what they're doing, or at least in that's what in their mind they're doing. Now, she's three to 5 on the line. She looks like a three to 5 shot when you look at that line. When you looks at speed figures, she looks like the worst three to 5 shot you've ever seen. But it's not impossible to think she could be better today in her second start than she was in her debut, looking at some of the other Phillies in this race. They're all coming in on good form number 5 grand oak is probably the one who's going to show speed. I would think number 6 smokey eyes will be laying close to the pace. She's coming off a nice win against New York bread maidens in her most recent start, but she does have a win on the turf at aqueduct, which is certainly good to have in her pocket. You've got number three, the classy one who tried the salima mistakes in her most recent start, race that was rained off the turf, she gets back to what probably is going to be at a better surface today. Loading in right now for the Chelsea flower, once again, two year old Phillies going to go a mile in a 16th on the turf at aqueduct. This is a race that 9 were entered, but three of them were main track only, so just a short field of 6 and tax implications continues to be the heavy favorite with Manny Franco aboard. Last few going in, John in brielle has the call. And there are and from the outside it is a smoky eye out for the lead quickly clearing the field and in front. Implicated is down at the rail. Life love and laughter in between horses and on the outside. It is a grand oak. Then it's a break of three, back to the favorite tax implications. And at the back of the 6 horse field is a classy one. They go into the Clubhouse turn. With smoky eyes showing the way here by a length and a half. Life love and laughter runs in second implicated as down at the rail and alongside his grand oak and fourth, a break of three, tax implications and four more to the classy one. The opening quarter mile in 23 seconds as the two year old Phillies race up the backstretch. Smokey eyes up by two and a half lengths now. Life love and laughter runs in second implicated as down at the rail and in third. Then grand oak tax implication remains in 5th and the classy one is the trailer. The half mile in 48 seconds and they have smokey eyes to catch as they go to the far turn. Smokey eyes by a length and a quarter. Life love and laughter on the move. Implicated us down at the round and third. And then the grand oak and tax implications. They're at the head of the stretch and smokey eyes is still the later. Round three quarters in one 12 and two. Smokey eyes in front by two. Implicated us all out in second. Life love and laughter next and third. Tax implications is now coming on on the outside, but they're heading for the 16th pole here is implicated. Tax implications driving up on the outside of smokey eyes. They come for the finish. It is implicated to defeat tax implications in the Chelsea flower stakes. Unofficially two one 6 in the Chelsea flower implicated getting the first one getting the win over tax implications, Jackie Manny Franco standing up, I would say at least 30 yards before the finish line, I have no idea what was going on there. I'm not sure if he thought that he couldn't do any better than second anyway, or if he thought something was happening. But watch the replay of the Chelsea flower and the stretch one of the favorite number one tax implications who was one to two, Manny Franco really looking like he's having trouble keeping her from gliding to the inside. And I think that's what it was. He's standing straight up in the saddle. I don't know if he was trying to keep her from lugging in. But it was an ugly look there down the lane as he completely stopped riding her several jumps before the line. She got beat a length by implicated, flavian Pratt aboard. The other Chad Brown trainee, if you will, in the Chelsea flower. We're going to take a break when we come back. We owe you prices at keenland and aqueduct. And we're going to revisit with handicapper Scotty mckeever. This is betting with Bobby presented by Caesar's race book.

"In at naira betts dot com. Look at the promo calendar, hit a trifecta bet on Belmont in the big a and you get a 10% bonus on your winning so lots of great opportunities and we're going to start things off at Belmont in the big a aqueduct, race number three tomorrow, the noble damsel, only drew a field of 5 Jude, but I think there are four horses in here that all have a legitimate claim to being the best of the group. It's not a big field, but it's a competitive group. Small but select as they say, right? Absolutely. I think Christoph Clement holds the aces in here though. He's got two entrance plum Ali with Manny Franco aboard and mesidor with Javier cassiano. They're both really good turf milers and I think the race goes through him. Yeah, I agree with that. You look at Palma Li, he has doubled the earnings of any other horse in the race. He's two for two at the big gate and the only graded stakes winner in here probably 8 to 5 in the morning line messed door two to one. How do you see the race being run? Well, you know, with such a short field, it is going to depend on who's going to make the lead. I think Evie jets will probably go to the front. She looks to me like she's got the most speed in the race. But I think plum Ali is going to get a perfect trip right behind her and then mess the door will be coming late. I picked plum Ali. I just think the resume is the best of the group. Did you like one of the two come out horses better? Well, I mean, you know, I'm a little angry with Manny Franco currently, but I never let that bother my handicapping. I just don't worry about it, but I like plum Ali, the best of the ducal Montreal. All right, one other question, the rail horse kept waiting three to one on the morning line, a horse stretching out from sprint races to go a mile and gets I read or tease when kept waiting has I read Ortiz up kept waiting is very, very successful. Yeah, definitely, you know, most horses are successful when they have router T's on them. But kept waiting is an interesting possibility, Bobby falcone is a very good trainer, as you know, and this horse is consistent, runs hard. I don't see any reason to think that she can't get a mile. I mean, she's run good going 7 for a long. I think she's definitely a contender and kind of lends credit to what you said earlier about four out of 5 horses. Being able to win this race. I guess the horse ignoring is poor knot. But, you know, I think she's got a shot, definitely. Yeah. Interesting race, I think we both leaned towards Palma Lee, but short but sweet as you said. Race number 7 at aqueduct tomorrow is the hill prince, a grade two for $300,000. This is a three year old event. And it just looks to me like there's not a whole lot of speed in here. Yeah, especially going a mile in an 8th, sometimes those horses get out there and just cruise right along, you know? Who looks like the leader nand task at beach? Is that the horse that probably gonna make the lead? Maybe I don't know if I trust Delaware park speed at naira tomorrow, but yeah, maybe nanta beach will be forwardly placed. Was there someone you liked or did you have a kind of theory of this race? Well, I kind of lean toward grand sonata, you know, I'm a big pletcher fan. It's interesting. Junior alvarado gets aboard for the first time in that's not a jockey that pletcher often uses, but he obviously has talent and is good. I just thought grant sonata could lay close enough to be effective at the distance and take it from there. The other horses I liked limited liability. Suge horse just ran third in the Virginia Derby, I don't know if that's good or bad. Yeah. It could go either way. Yeah, another horse with no speed. Shook his two in here, Todd as two in here, Chad as two in here. You mentioned grant's 5 to one on the morning line. If you were playing a pick three pick four pick 5, something like that, how many of them would you need? Well, I mean, I would use, I would definitely use the two grants and I would use the 8 unanimous consent who I think is one of the Chad's horses that has a really good chance. I would use sugar because I don't want to be the guy that gets beat by suge. And the horse that kind of is a question mark that maybe could pop up is the 6 be better pletcher coming off a terrible race in the kurland Gabi 25 links. I think you just have to throw that out was wide on the first turn was eased, I ride hopping on this one, you know, never been on the grass by uncle mo out of a smart strike mirror could like the grass and after the race you don't want to sit there and go, oh my God, I can't believe I got beat by putcher. Yeah, that's actually my pick in the race for basically all the reasons you mentioned. You like grants not I like grants not a two, but why is junior alvarado up on grant sonata

"They've gotten about 69% of the tickets and 60% of the handle, but I would say that there's been pretty good two way action in this game. I think that there are people that believe in UCLA. I personally, I don't know if they're quite in that Utah tier just yet. I think Utah is the best team in the PAC 12 in general. But this game actually is the game I'm most excited to watch this weekend. All right, max, really appreciate you taking the time. Thanks, as always, have another great weekend, my friend. Absolutely. Good My bruins need good luck. That's for sure. Because I'm just not, I'm not buying in yet. I need to see a little bit more from them. Let's get some prices out from both Keenan and aqueduct. The jessamine stakes race ate at keeneland one impressively by the favorite number three delight, a two year old rather chestnut Philly by mendelssohn out of the medallion door honey trap. She's owned by August and stable and trained by Jonathan Thomas Louis siya's aboard delight paid 9 68 to win 5 52 to place in three 92 to show 11 knock your socks off 6 48 to place and of course the price is just refreshed right as I was reading them all awesome. 6 48 to place four 58 to show third, 7 bling, 7 44 to show, fourth number one sabalenka, $2 prices exact a 67 22, the tri 6 63 74 and the dollar super perfect at $2077 and 20 cents. Let's get the prices out for the finale at the big a, where we saw a very tight finish there, and it was actually number 9. I'm buzzy holding on for the win. I'm buzzy, a three year old dark Bayer Brown Philly by Long Island sound out of the purim Mary Mary B owned by Crowe's iron horse stables and trained by Mitchell Friedman Manny Franco the rider. I'm buzzy paid $15 6 20 and $4. Second four classic Lin three 80 and three ten, third number ten fast Corey at three 80 and fourth 11 union Dali. Dollar exact a 23 90, 50 cent try $36, 37 cents, and the dollar super $216 and 70 cents. Going to take a quick break when we come back, we'll have live coverage of the grade one darley alcibiades, Phillies are in the paddock

"Simply go to our website, stream us and Bluetooth it, and you can listen anywhere in the world to that outstanding program. I mentioned those supporting stakes, the de Haas, the rosy stakes he mentioned the kitten's joy. Tell me about some of those undercard stakes that are going to be taking place, Jill. Yeah, we kick it off while we actually also have a new dirt steak. The hidden figures overnight handicap a 100,000. That's a mile and a 16th on the dirt. And that came up a 9 horse field. So really excited about that, Steve Austin has a jilted bride in there. You have Jerry Holland or with one in there. So that kind of kicks off the stakes program and the kitten's joy. Again, I mean, just look at some of the lineups of your trainers and horsemen and the jockeys coming in for that race. And the same thing with the de Haas, the then so popular it used to be earlier in the meat. So we moved it to be a part of this all turf stakes pick 5 at the end of the meat when we added another turf sprint at the beginning. So that's worked out really well with a solid field of 12 in there. Michelle lovell has nobody listened. She didn't run just might in this, who won it last year, but she's got such a strong stable. So as you mentioned, the rosy shakes. The rosies are very inaugural running of the rosy steaks produced four wheel drive who went on to win the breeders cup juvenile turf sprint. So we kicked off really strong with that. And then the oaks, as you mentioned, just to line up incredible there and grant motion has several in there and then you've got three enters in it. Chad brown's got O kur, so probably be the favorite in that race. But such a deep field and now I feel for you handicappers out there. That's going to work to do on a very busy weekend. So a lot of work to do for Tuesday at colonial downs, but the rewards could be massive. So I encourage everybody to get stuck in, you know, maybe Labor Day after you've finished having your barbecue and ready to wind down a little bit, start studying pretty hard. Yeah, the entries are out there now. I'm looking at the bris at past performances for the races and they're there now. So get your PPs ready. And get out there and start handicapping that great card. It's going to take you a little time to walk through this one with all of these entries. And you mentioned the Virginia oaks and let's dive into that just a little bit more here, Jill. 14, three year old Phillies. And no prohibitive favorite. Whenever I see races like this and even the Virginia Derby, I always say they're breeders cup caliber betting races because you have big fields, no overwhelming favorite, and a lot of opportunities to make some great money. That's right. That's what's so exciting about it is there isn't to me anyway. Anybody that should be a two to 5 one to 5 shot in here and there's 14 of them and got jockeys coming in from New York. You got the Ortiz brothers Julian le Peru, Rosario. So it kind of gives you an idea of the depth of this, but that's what's fun about it is wide open race and as I mentioned again, I'm glad I'm not a handicapper anymore because these racism will be very, very difficult, but that's where it makes it fun. And the turf races, you know, you have these close finishes and there's just so many variables. So we're just really excited about what the day presents we're looking forward to a lot of people coming out and enjoying all the festivities that we have to offer and you know how fun colonial downs is. It's a nice, very family friendly casual atmosphere and it's just a nice place to come and enjoy the races and I have you all all set up in your spot overlooking the paddock. So you're ready to go. Oakhurst is number 13, three to one on the morning line in that Virginia oaks. From a handicapping perspective, we talk about this puzzle and we talk about people getting their past performances out now and diving into it. Is that outside post? Can that be a detriment at colonial downs going that distance in the Virginia oaks? Or is it not that big of a deal? I don't think it's that big of a deal. You know, we've got a pretty long run up to the first turn. So plenty of room and the course is so wide and the turns are so nice and wide. I mean, ideally you maybe would want to be a little closer in, but that's why you have top riders Manny Franco on oakhurst and figure out a trip, but the turf course lends well to good solid trips because it is so wide and you have plenty of run up heading into that first turn going on. Well, again, it should be a fantastic afternoon to thoroughbred racing the Virginia Derby is set to go at 6 14 eastern the race before the Virginia oaks will go right around 5 29 Eastern Time and all those stakes races just a huge card and a great way to continue on with your Labor Day weekend, just taking the racing from colonial downs. Joe before I let you go, spend a couple of minutes looking back on the meat and talk about the type of meat that has been and kind of talk about what your most proud of over the past several weeks. I think kind of what we talked about earlier is the quality of racing that we've developed over the last four years and it's really shown this year, the variety of stables and horsemen that have shown up to support colonial downs racing. It's kind of been that track that's really caught everybody's attention and what I guess I'm really proud of is the reputation that all the people that work with me have in colonial downs of being a track that they feel treats them well. Great surfaces and that we try to put on a very good show, very safe, good product for the horsemen and for the betters out there. But I think it shows this meat we've had record handle and every day just really not going to out there over 2 million plus that's been fun doing the Monday mid Atlantic pick four with Monmouth trying some new innovative ideas lowering the pick 5 takeout, things like that and seeing how the wagers have responded to those, but really the horsemen participation for colonial downs is something I'm very proud of and just also when people give me feedback of how they really feel that everybody listens to them when they come there and they're treated very well. Yeah, and Jill, you're very, very good at that. And I see how hard you work when I see you running around and taking care of everybody, making sure everybody has what they need. And I know the whole team does, but do you ever get a chance to take a breath and enjoy it? I enjoy it without taking a breath. But I mean, that's what I do. You know, I just, it's something I'm very proud of. I'm going to just work as hard as anybody and everybody to make sure that the horsemen, the horses, and patrons are treated as well as we can, give them every opportunity, put on the best product. And yeah, I mean, it's tiring. It's exhausting, but I wouldn't do it any other way. I enjoy the challenge and hey, it keeps me fit and I do about 5, 6 miles a day running around there. Keeps me fit. Keeps me healthy and I couldn't sit back in an office and put my feet up on a desk now. I've got to be out there and be a part of it. You do a great job.

"These young guys how to be better writers. Both Ortiz brothers, for instance, and Manny Franco, there's so many I'm in there that just look up to Johnny and he's taking his time to help them become better, great writers and better people. You know, when you hang out with the right people, the right good things happen. He's made had an major impact in his era on the game and no doubt he's the best in the zero. The other thing about it that I've always found fascinating. The numbers don't matter to Johnny Velasquez. I mean, when angel Cordero, the great Hall of Fame Jackie was his angel was always striving to twin as many races as he could. The jockey title at Saratoga was so important to him. And when Johnny was closing in on milestones here, he'd be like, well, if I get it, I get it. An angel would be like going crazy saying, oh, these are great numbers. These are great numbers. But Johnny was like, you know, I'm just going out there and doing my job. I mean, the numbers genuinely don't matter to him. He just wants to go out and do his job, perform as well as he can and go home. He doesn't have to have the accolades of the numbers. And even after he won the thousand, I mean, he was very humble in the winter circle talking to us and he's like saying it's never been about the numbers to ever. And it never will be. And I think that's so refreshing. What a bird that I think one number he's pretty proud of is that 456 $1 million in purses that he's earned because that's allowed him to have the life that he has. And he is number one on the all time earnings list among jockeys. He's actually number 14 in terms of number of wins, but he's pretty close to sandy Holly for number 13. I think he'll pass him within the next couple of weeks, probably. He's closing in on him very, very quickly. So yeah, I mean, but that 456 million, I think he likes that number, Timmy. Well, I think he probably loves that number. That's maybe that's the only number that he really likes because then he can keep he can keep the wife happy. The kid's happy and but you know, but the number thing as far as the physical numbers of the races and stuff like that. Yeah, money is big for everybody, but the other numbers has never been a big deal. Is that never been a big deal to him? The number that number is the one that's the most skewed though because the difference in persons too. If you go back and translate those numbers into today's numbers on a number of wins for a guy like angel or pat date, they're going to be up there with him. But in defense of my good friend angel, it takes a lot to motivate guys once they weren't derbies and they won titles and they won all the money and they've got plenty of money. And angel use that as motivation. And it used to remember probably without angel there might not be a top router, Johnny. Angel or point for years of helping develop his craft. And that's a good thing. Angel did that for Johnny and how Johnny's doing it for the young art guys behind you. How much would Bill shoemaker, by the way, 8833 career victories. He's number three on the all time list. His purse earnings are 123 million. How much would that money be worth if he was writing in John Velasquez's era? That'd be an interesting thing for one of these kids and one of these schools. So look up and just change the numbers to the first is on all those races for a guy like bill and see what his numbers would have be in today today's world if he had ridden the same horses. Back then if they had the same person today and what he says his numbers would have been. I'm not taking anything away from Johnny's number of 400 million. That money spends pretty well. But he might be up and down Roman zip code. Yeah, exactly. He didn't want to be in my area, Coke. Hey, Dale, you sent out a tweet the other day from your Romans racing account. And you had a picture of you in angel Cordero sitting around the barn hanging out. I thought it was a great picture. What was that conversation all about? What were you guys discussing? You're about to three hours of pickleball. We had just played and who played good and bad. He's always my partner in pickleball. And we were actually sitting at prime restaurant on the golf course, having a late launcher. I don't tweet much myself personally, but with that picture, I sent it to my girls. It was to put that on there. You don't have lunch with a legend very often. But it always ends up talking about great horses and great rides and the riders today and the biggest fan for these jockeys out there today is angel Cordero and he takes a lot of pride in the fact that he's young Puerto Rican gossip come up here and kind of followed in his footsteps. And he's helps everyone up to this day. Yeah, great people. 80 years old, November 8th and he played three hours of pickleball. And I had to take care of her other game off. I don't think he missed a gate. Who won? Angel told me he said it's like the time he thought he saw a UFO. Nobody's going to believe that we want. So why tell him? I love it. All right, moving on. Number two. On Wednesday, bloodhorse reported that two time breeders cup winner and turf specialist golden pal may actually try racing on dirt in the grade two Phoenix steaks at Keenan coming up on October 7th. Now in 2020, golden pal won the breeders cup juvenile turf sprint and then last year he won the turf sprint. So guys I'm going to ask you this and Dale will come to you first. Do you like this move for golden pal? Yeah, I think it's more about taking to the breeding shit that people seem to be wanting to breed to dirt horses a lot more feet translates this form over to dart and he puts himself in a whole different stratosphere forest stallion prospect down the road and so it makes sense to try to do it and who knows I'm sure that Wesley thinks he trains well on the dirty wouldn't be Johnny. You know after golden palm on the Troy up here earlier in the meat that's Leslie was talking about the mapping out the plan and this was the race that he had in mind for them. This isn't something that some have cocked idea. Yeah, it's all about the breathing thing. He's already proven that, you know, what a marvel he is on the grass and

"Dale Romans Tim Wilkins some great topics to dive into here this morning and we'll kick it off with this one. 21 years ago today. Hall of Fame jockey John Velasquez became the first jockey in history to ride 6 winners on a single card at Saratoga. 9 days ago, he became the first jockey to win 1000 races at that historic track. So where do we place John EV on the list of all time great jockeys in our sport and what legacy will he leave behind when he finally hangs up his tack? Timmy, let's kick it off with you. Wow, you know, what he did is his body of work in Saratoga has been phenomenal, obviously, to win a thousand races at which is arguably the toughest race meet in the world to compete at. You know, he's always been such a class act. You know, forget about the fact that he's won all those readers stuff with 18 of those. He's got the Derby three derbies. He's got two belmonts, but he's been the president of the jockey club. Jackie gilson's 2007, which I believe I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that he has long as tenure as the president there. He's an advocate for the riders. He's always. Front foot forward to help riders whenever he can, you know, he's going to go down as one of the all time great Jackie. There's no question about that. Will he be at the top of the list? Maybe not. But I think he's in the top ten. But just the human side of it. I mean, he does so much stuff that people don't even know about. And he doesn't want people to know about the things he does for kids and I've heard stories about him with children in the Jacksonville Saratoga and doing these all these things for them. And you know, he's just like, again, he says the class act. And he's going to go down as one of the best writers, but he's also going to go down as one of the best people that has ever ridden this game. Yes. No doubt, no doubt in history will show he's one of the greatest of all times. It's impossible to compare eras of any sport, but as Tim said, he's a gentleman, jockey. He does a lot of other things just besides great resources and put on great rides. I was here that day that they won the 6. It doesn't seem like 21 years ago, but electricity in there was amazing that day and everybody was chair form. But I think one of the great things that you'll see us in these great writers is the way the young writers look up to them. I don't know if there's everybody but I have more respect in the jockeys room than Johnny Velasquez. And he has not hesitated in teaching these young guys how to be better writers. Both Ortiz brothers, for instance, and Manny Franco, there's so many I'm in there that just look up to Johnny and he's

"Your local Verizon store today. Welcome back to bedding with Bobby presented by Caesar's race book here on the horse racing radio network. We've got live action today from both Saratoga and Ellis park a couple of great guests coming up as well. John vidmar from Caesar's race book. Keith feustel from Maryland racing an echo base going to join us in our number two. Let's get back out to the track. We've got live action just four minutes away. Of course yesterday was opening day at the spa. Well, that's kind of like Disneyland. The Christmas or whatever you'd like to say for horse racing fans and a special if it was who liked to place a bet every now and again. Saratoga opened yesterday, delmar opens next Friday. It just does not get much better than this, my Friends. And already a $120,000 carryover in the picks pick 6 at Saratoga going into today. That's how tough some of the races were to handicap yesterday. So of course, the final 6 races on the card encompassed the pick 6 races 6, 7, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and ten today. I can tell you that the 5th race was won by a 6 to one joule stone with Louis syes aboard. 6th race today was won by a 7 to one shot, Danzig with the stars. So I wouldn't call them long shots, but certainly horses that not everybody is going to have. And with that $120,000 carry over going into today, we're on pace for either a huge payoff, or you know what? If there's chaos in the next four races, maybe even a double carryover into the first Saturday of the meat. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. See if we can get through these next four races and maybe find a few winners here or there. They're on the track for race number 7. It's a mile and an 8th on the main track at Saratoga, three year olds and up that are non winners of three races lifetime. They're in for a claiming price of $25,000. Once again, 80° partly cloudy skies, main track fast, turf course, firm at the spot today. Field of 9 in this race with no scratches or rider changes. We do have a big favorite at number four American pure. Maybe a surprisingly heavy favorite in the spot. He was only 7 to two on the morning line for dream of Brad Cox and I read Ortiz junior and American pure when we last saw him. He was running in a pretty tough allowance optional claiming race at Churchill downs back on May 21st. It was a sloppy track that day and listen to who he ran against. Howling time and rattle and roll. Rattle and roll came back and won a quarter $1 million race in his next start. How long time came back? And ran a very good race and defeat in the mat win and American pure is probably happy he doesn't have to face either of them again. Now he was beaten 24 lengths that day. I don't know if it was all the competition that caused the drubbing or the fact that that was a sloppy track that day. He had never run on a sloppy track and it's clearly the worst race in his four start career. So if you can draw a line through that race and a lot of people and I subscribe to this myself sometimes think that that race was so bad it probably means nothing. It would be different if he got beaten 8 lengths. He got beat 8 lengths and he was just a little over matched. He'd be 24 lengths. It's almost like, all right, something just wasn't right that day. And it's probably a ratio can draw a line through and whether it was the sloppy track or something went wrong. He does show a good string of works coming back for his return to the races, including a bullet 5 furlong drill on a fast track at Ellis park a few weeks ago of a minute flat. In fact, he's worked 5 times since that debacle at Churchill downs. This is a condition claiming race. It's not an optional claiming allowance event. This is a softer field. I still don't know if I want even money, and that's where he is right now. So if you don't want even money, where do you go? Number three 6% looks like he has a shot, just two for 22 coming to this race, but another one who has been facing better. Most of his recent career. Number 5 will E Sutton for Jonathan Thomas and Manny Franco, another one dropping out of allowance races where he's got races in his past performances that are certainly as good as anyone else in this field, if not better. Number 6, I am the cash man with jockey Andre warrior board 5 to one on the board. The thing this one has going for him is that there's not a ton of speed in this field and I am the cash man may find himself by himself on the front end. And by the way, the only time he ever made the lead, he broke his maiden by he won at finger lakes by 18 lengths. It was not a maiden when it was an allowance event at finger lakes. So he's going from allowance races at finger lakes to condition clamor at Saratoga. I'm not really sure how that figures out, you know, normally you'd say, listen, any race at Saratoga is better than a race at finger lakes and I would guess about 98% of the time, that's an accurate statement. This is not the toughest condition claiming race I've ever seen. If those races that I am the cash man were running at finger lakes are legitimate, he's got a chance in this spot. The only other one who shows any speed is number 8 don't be late, Louis cardenas aboard for David Doc. He's kind of like I am the cashman. He doesn't show speed regularly. But when he does, he runs very well. It could obviously cancel each other out and set it up for somebody off the pace, but those are some logical other ones you can use if you're not interested in the favorite number four American pure. By the way, it's been post time now for about a minute or minute and a half. Meanwhile, the horses are still circling behind the gate. Not unexpected. Listen, I'm told that they had a huge card yesterday for opening day at Saratoga. I was told the parking lot was full once again today. It's a nice day. People have been waiting to get back to the spa, probably giving people their last chances to get those wagers in. I'm sure there are long lines for the people that are betting on track today up at Saratoga. Plus it does start the late pick for. And whenever you have a race that's at the start of a pick four, pick 5 pick 6. It seems like the mutual departments are giving requests to the stewards to hold them an extra minute or two. And just to give everyone a chance of getting those plays in and not getting shut out, we used to joke about it, used to always hear at a racetrack, you know, make your wagers early, don't get shut out. So many people are playing online with places like Caesar's race book right now. You don't hear those announcements as much anymore. I think even a lot of people at the track are playing on their phones with the money that they have on the account. Wherever you're playing, whether it's Caesar's race book, live on track wherever it is, they're going in the gate for race 7 at Saratoga, even money still on number four American pure. Seems like many of the betters are willing to forgive his poor effort in his last start. The question I have is if he runs to his previous starts where he was running well at turf wa in indie and horseshoe Indianapolis, does that make him an even money shot? I don't think he lays over this field, no matter what way you look at it. He might win this race. He's not going to win it with me at even money. I would need a bigger price on him. I think the fact that you have a guy named Brad Cox training and a guy named irad Ortiz writing has a lot to do with the short price you're getting on American pure. Last one going in on John embryo with the call. And they're off and it was a stumbling start for the favorite number four American pure and he trails the field. From the inside, Jade's dream is going out for

"Watch. Go follow David. Great guy, big fan. He's made glider 8 to one. He made favoritism toward the outside with Morello out in post 9 three to one. You have 7 O two for dean's list and Manny Franco and a four to one Rockefeller toward the outside Morello obviously has been very, very impressive in a couple of starts. First time stretching out to a mile, which aqueduct on the outer track is just the one turn, right? Boy, I hope I ride on that before. It's kind of funny that they still at this point are only running a mile. Prep. It feels like it should be longer, but I guess they didn't even run a mile 16th at aqueduct. I don't think they do. So maybe it's just kind of stuck that way. But Morello just been super impressive in those first couple of starts raided in both of them nicely set off. Kind of had, you know, nice in behind trips, but covered a lot of ground last time in the week feel was just much the best. And life is great, not life is good, but life is great, also in here with second that day. But I wanted to mention glider just because we saw this horse at Tampa and was beaten by Emanuel who, as I said earlier in the fountain of youth, I'm really high on, but this was the one we can wear, I thought Tampa's course was somewhat biased. It seemed like the rail was very dead. And horses would start making moves they jumped out of the rail and they'd stop making moves. And I saw a lot of that that weekend renter brothers and I remember talking about it during the car and it's just like, God, horses that look like they're going to rally up the rail and win are just kind of stopping. And glider was chasing inside and Emmanuel stayed out in the three path because I think Emmanuel's writer realized that I think it was Pablo Morales who was writing. Realized that you don't want to be down inside. And so the fact that this one stayed down there lost ground Emanuel late, but still ran pretty good. And interestingly enough, Antonio Gallardo was going to go up and ride for Mark Cassie. In this race, obviously, Antonio based down here at Tampa and I don't know, I'm really excited to see what this horse could do because I thought that was first of all, like I said, I'm banking that emmanuelle is very good. And so that also makes me kind of think that maybe glider is pretty good, but this is a this is a fun prep honestly for you. I feel like the New York prep sometimes feel like they're a little bit short. At least with interest from me just because the aqueduct so many of the top guys are down at Gulfstream. But with Rockefeller coming out here for baffert, Morello, who's been sensational, I mean, even horses like bull journey for Bill Mott, you know, second in the Gander after kind of opening up last time out. I mean, there's just a lot of interesting horses in this race and a lot of upside dean's list perfect two for two for pletcher down at Gulfstream. He's obviously got, you know, he's going to want to spread out his hand a little bit. Ray handel has from another mother too, who is a nice winner last time out against maidens, but handles on fire in aqueduct this meet. 14 for 63, 22%, go ray. I want to say we had rayon 2019. I think I was at Monmouth when we had him on. I mentioned earlier radio days who was coming out of that forward Gallup Gulf Stream, and she is showing up here in the busher, which also a one turn mile race, which the four were gal was as well. And she kind of just got away not great. There's no comment on it. She was just far back in a race where 7 furlongs they were going and honest clip, but the horse up front was just cruising. And she wasn't able to run that one down, but she took a serious run at her. I think this is actually a really good horse. In radio days. And she gets back to New York too. I mean, Gulf Stream is always a little bit peculiar, but she ran perfectly fine. She just didn't catch a loose on the lead horse. Dylan Davis went down there to ride that race. I think he's obviously very high on the horse. They spent a ton of money for radio days. And so it makes sense that the horse would be talented and obviously comes from very, very good connections. Venti Valentine, who was so good behind nest in that demoiselle stakes nest obviously came back to win at Tampa a couple of weeks ago in I should know the race I called the damn thing. What is it called? Holy crap. The sun coast. Boy, don't let my bosses hear that I forgot the name of the sun coast stakes. But validate that race. The sun goes in a top top field. Certainly I don't think some of the talent that venti Valentine would is going to see here. So I don't know how much you like move nest up off that wind. I thought it was very workman like. And we haven't seen venti Valentine. We're still in that phase where, for some of these horses, we're seeing them for the first time as three year olds. Sterling silver was one of the New York prince I was mentioning earlier on in the show as well. I mean, very humble beginnings of $13,000 purchase. One made in special weight state bread and then $100,000 the Franklin square for Trevor McCarthy and Trevor and time albertrani, going to try their luck in the bush here against the open company here. So that is just a quick little preview of so much that's going on. Like I said, we had to skip around a little bit because there's just, there's just too much. I didn't have a chance to look at all of it to be Frank. And we'll certainly try our best to recap as much of it as we can on Monday. That will most likely drip into Tuesday, but big weekends. This is such a great time of the year for, you know, all the Derby lead up oaks lead up like that stuff's all fun, but what comes along with those is good cards and good racing and fountain of youth. I was thinking back my favorite fountain of youth is 2004, the saint Valentine's Day massacre, it was dubbed, which is probably a little bit of an extreme name for a horse race. But it was on Valentine's Day and read the footnotes and 2nd of June, man. They hooked up real early, not early, but early in the drive and they just went ahead and had the whole way down the lane and it was real memorable stretch call. There used to be video of it on YouTube and I looked around and the old video that used to be up there was no longer up there and so you can't seem to. You can't seem to find it so if you can find it out there if you know where to watch the 2004 found of youth watch it because it is a awesome race. But real big thank you to you guys for tuning in this week as always you guys are just the best so appreciate you guys listening to our show. Big thanks to Darren Rogers yesterday Danny Gibson who joined us back on Tuesday. We will have some new guests next week, maybe old guests. I haven't done any booking yet..

"Let's do fuski island. I went to the favorite senbei. I think even if the others improve they're going to have to really improve to beat them. That doesn't mean he can't get beat. But I like the fact that he showed that he doesn't have to have the lead to still when he had been going to the lead the first three starts of his career last time out. He stalked the pace and one of those New York breeders futurity races up at finger lakes went by and powered away to a very impressive win. I think he's getting better and better for Christophe clemont and Manny Franco who's been aboard for all of his starts once again will be aboard Sunday in the notebook send bay for me, daufuskie island for bob in the $100,000 notebook race three on the Sunday card at aqueduct. We're going to jump forward all the way to the 9th race on the Sunday card at aqueduct and their co featured event is the $100,000 key sense. These are New York bread, two year old Phillies going 6 furlongs on the main track. We've got a field of 8 here, and another race where it's really tough to figure out who you're going to want to take a stand with. Because you've got some runners here that are coming off gigantic wins, like Cupid's heart, like classy edition. Then you have number 7 making my move who was so impressive in her debut and really didn't run poorly trying the turf in the grade three matron last time out. Some other up and comers were Jan bob. On the 6 class edition, who, I think, the morning Einstein to 5, and I think she'll go off much shorter than that. I think she's the kind of New York bread that will probably be looking for open company when she had a magic she's going to Gulfstream park. She's one really easily and she's shown a lot of ability and are two stars, including last time in her stakes debut on the mud at Belmont, and to me she's just a really, really talented two year old Philly from the pleasure bar, and I expect her to have a big say and what happens next year with the three year old Phillies at Gulfstream. See, now you think she's going to go to Gulfstream. I think the purses are so good for the New York breads, and let's face it, the competition in the wintertime in New York is not quite what it is in the winter time at Gulfstream park. I would not be surprised if she stays in New York all year. Todd Fletcher, you know, the bulk of his runners are going to be in South Florida. He always keeps a string in New York. He'll shuttle some back and forth. So I would not be surprised if for now they stick with that money against New York breads and keep her there. I have nothing bad to say. I wouldn't be surprised either if you're correct, but I just think she might be pretty high up the pecking order in the pletcher barn, and I do expect the 8 sees a wild joker the daughter of practical joke is not a great first season to run a better race. I think she'll hit the board of the big price. Okay, so bob likes the favorite number 6 classy addition thinks number H use a wild joker is an interesting one to at least be underneath in that spot. I had a tough time deciding between number 5 qubits, number 6 classy edition number 7, making my move. Very slight push to the 7, making my move, she was great in her career debut in one of those tough maiden special weight events up at Saratoga and she just dumped truck the field that day. Winning by a dozen links they liked her enough that they tried her in the grade three matron sprinting on the turf in her next start, and she tried to, you know, she not only tried to surface she had never tried. She tried tougher competition than what she had seen before. And she wasn't able to get the lead in that race. And she still ran pretty well. She ran forth only beaten the length and a half Philly was just in front of her mystic eyes, came back in one in her next start. I happen to think that making my move will be better on the dirt than she was on the turf, now facing winners for the second time getting back to what I think will be her preferred surface. I'm going to put her on top. Plus, I think she'll be in front of Cupid's heart and classy edition. They will have to pass her at some point if they want to get the win. So I'm going to take number 7 making my move on top. If I'm playing horizontally, I'm using all three. Cupid's heart classy edition, making my move, making my move, though on top for me, a number 6 classy edition on top for buy race number 9 Sunday at aqueduct the $100,000 key cents for the New York bred two year old Phillies, sprinting 6 furlongs. We're going to take our final break. When we come back, we'll continue to look at the Sunday action. Go north of the border to woodbine and out to the West Coast at del mar, you're listening to the weekend stakes preview presented by nyra betts on the horse racing radio network..

"Of six all is on the number five essential quality. He's your one to two favorite. The winner of the belmont stakes presented by nyerere bets returns for a prep for the run. Happy drivers well. It may be preferable travers. But he's certainly better than the other horses in this race. He's never run a bad race in his seven race career. Six wins and a defeat in the kentucky. Derby worried didn't have the cleanest of trips and was only beaten a length that day simply put. He's just better than these horses. I think the the only way you can make money with him is to either hammer. And exact are two or play him in horizontal wagers which i think everyone is going to be singling him so i picked him on top. It's nothing creative. I think the logical ones underneath are either number two masked parade or number four. Keep me in mind. Keep me in mind. Has that experience against central quality. Many many times in fact he's run behind him three times already in his career and a couple of those races. You really wasn't that far behind him. Masquerade is the up and comer. That is getting good at the right time. I don't think he's as good as essential quality yet but that doesn't mean he can't get to be that good. Yeah i just think of central quality is you know. He's just better and faster than these sources. I thought keep me in mind has been waking up and his running style and it certainly seems like maturity is going to help his cause. It's a rider changed. Joel rosario in here as well. I know he's a horse is void of speed. He comes from from well out the back. Wonder if joel can try and keep them all close i. I don't know if he can. I'm speculating i'm hoping he can. I can tell you that But truth be told essential quality. You know the two year old champ. If he continues on the trajectory he's gotten faster and his last two the derby and the belmont stakes. He's gonna be a tough one. Tough hombre tomorrow. I don't think you can get past them. I'll take him over. Keep me in mind. And wavering way runs a very interesting horse. It's rata changed junior. He's gonna be forwardly. Placed jimmy jerks on the source in the belmont. He thought distance was going to be his friend. This is just his second start at a mile and an eighth. He was involved in the pace in the world. It wasn't fast with it was contested. He only three lancs. He may have been best the pegasus last time behind manned mandolin. He's been training really really well for this. I think it's i'm gonna play five four five three. I'm gonna try and get mask parade of the number essential quality going to be tough race. Number nine goes as the grade to jim dan. The other re to the bowling green at a mile and three eighths on the turf. Now we got tiring here thursday One point seven inches of rain. Thursday night alone. Another three tenths of an inch friday morning. So it's going to be wet there's turf horse wet no question about it. They will run this bowling on this earth though Field of a field of eight defending eclipse champ channel maker in here for hall of famer. Bill maher manny franco. He won the sword dancer over our soft soft course here at saratoga last year before digging the joe hirsch turf classic at belmont park. He hasn't run well his to starts in dubai and while the saudi arabia race was terrible. Many franco's void for his wins last year at saratoga climbs back aboard. He's your five three morning line favorite and he hasn't run since that race in late march and That that's the biggest question whether or not he's gonna fire. His best shot certainly figures to get the lead in this spot. There's really not any other speed in this race. So channel makers should be able to get the lead it's whether or not He can win against this quality field off this kind of a layoff We know that the wet track won't hurt them If you look back to last year in the turf classic when he went to wire he was five to two that day. Coming off a big win in the sword dancer the favourite that day was rock emperor and he ended up beating rock emperor by five and a half six lengths and rock. Emperor just didn't run one of his good races that day but at least at that point there were people out there who thought rock emperor was better than channel maker. I dunno of rock. Emperor is better than channel maker but rock emperor has recency. He's coming off a nice effort a confidence builder against softer competition. Last time out I think he sits fairly close to channel maker and if channel maker isn't his best. I think joel rosario and rock emperor will pounce and maybe turned the tables a much better price six to one morning line so going to try for a minor upset with rock emperor rock emperor while he's going to go to a horse who had a lot of trouble finding a women's circle finally the last time in his first first time in ten starts in the us at the money. I guess he can win over. Miami's horse i've kind of been chasing a little bit. I'm wondering if the mile and three eighths is going to help him like he did. Last time. i thought he might have been best last time. Hung a little bit. Didn't have the cleanest inside trip channel maker could obviously win this race over the two for gaumont cross-border who got put up via the q. Is in here. I guess he could win. There's a lot of horses that could win this race You can make it. I mean rackham break. Point was first time this country last time. He got caught behind the runaway. Horse in megacity I landed on over miami. I thought it'd be enough patient. Yeah i thought he was always. It was kinda coming into his own. I thought it'd be a swear enough price. So i landed on moon over miami. Hoping he makes a big run and run them down in race number ten the gray two hundred fifty thousand dollar bowling green.
