Spencer AKA "The Mando Medic" on the Importance of Decompression Time

"You have a firefighter who's having a hard time transitioning from work to home, and isn't having a lot of empathy and gratitude for their spouse, what do you think is the ultimate game changer there? For me, it was honestly the decompression before I walked through the door, because I think that what happens is I think we have good intentions. I think on the way home we're excited to see our families. I think we're excited to get off of work and we'll go back to our home environment. The problem is, it's less of a problem if you have that perspective and empathy, but as soon as we walk through the door, right, maybe we had a really rough shift and we're getting hit with all the things we need to do for the rest of the day. Some sort of chaos happened in the night before that we hadn't heard about yet, we're having to deal with. I know me as a child, I can remember my father was a trooper for 30 years, I remember being really excited to see him when he got home, running right at him. So things like that becomes over stimulating and I think that when we're in that mentality, we get frustrated with things that may not frustrate us in a logical perspective, but emotionally, because we're so stimulated from coming off shift, it hits us wrong and we can start to say things we don't mean or give off tones that we don't intend to give off. So for me, the biggest game changer was that decompression. Honestly, all I started doing was staying late at shift and having breakfast with the oncoming crew. It's something as simple as that. We just hang out, have breakfast with them for maybe 10, 15 minutes, a little bit longer than your regular Passover. We're not talking about work, we're talking about so and so's kids Little League, how they're doing, or whatever vacation somebody just took. We're talking about things that don't involve work and it's giving me time to process what happened the night before. Or if we had something bad go on, you know, we had a rough call or a rough fire or something, we can have that discussion. So it's processed a little bit more before we get home. The commute honestly helped me a lot too. You know, I've worked stations that are 10 minutes from my house and I've worked stations that are 40 minutes from my house and the ones that were 40 minutes from my house. I was so much nicer coming home, throw a podcast on, I would get my head in a different space, think about what I was going to do the rest of the day and be able to plan it. And then by the time I got home and came through the door, didn't really matter what was going to be thrown at me because I had decompressed enough from work that I wasn't still wound up. My heart rate wasn't still through the roof waiting for tones. Again, I wasn't thinking about the next shift. So I think those two are really big game changer journaling too. Honestly, what I recommend now to people, which I wish I would have done sooner is if you're going to take that decompression time, take two to five minutes in your car or in your truck before you leave the station, pull your notes app out and do a quick gratitude journal, write the things you're grateful for, or type out how your shift was, the things you want to change the next shift. But it's some level of processing that your mind can work through it before you get home and end up throwing your burdens onto your family because you're frustrated from your shift and you're not able to process it properly. Yeah, we talk about that tricky transition a lot on this podcast. I'm sure you've heard it multiple times because it's ultimately the number one question that we get. Why are they so upset every time they come home? Like we know that they want to see us and we've missed them, but they come home so grumpy and they take it out on the kids and they take it on to the dog. And it's the frequently asked question of frequently asked questions. I think that that was a great way of describing it from your perspective. I know we talk about a lot what works for us, but from your perspective as the firefighter coming back into the home, if you didn't have that 40 minute decompression time in your car or you didn't have the opportunity to sit down with your crew for 15 minutes, if you didn't have those two options, what would be a good way to transition back to home and how can the spouse help with that? So I'm going to take a lesson out of the book of my old man right here because I remember this vividly from my childhood. I actually think he was a fantastic example of how to do this. So because he was a state trooper, they had take home cars. So his commute home was on duty. So until he pulled him to the driveway, he was completely on duty, ready to respond and everything like that. And then he would go out of service in the driveway. So he literally had zero decompression time, like 30 seconds, maybe up to the door. And the communication for him was huge. I understood from a very young age, I'm talking like five or six years old that, hey, dad just needs like 30 minutes. When he gets home, she's 30 minutes. My mom understood. He had already talked to her about that and what he needed. He would literally go into the bedroom, close the door and read a book for 30 minutes. He's a big like Wild West guy. So he'd read it like some Wild West book or something like that for 30 minutes, get his mind off everything, take a shower and then come out for dinner or breakfast or whatever. If he's working nights or days. So I think that from the family perspective, allowing us that time without making us feel bad about it. I know that can be a touchy subject too. I know with several of my buddies that when they go home, that's their biggest frustration is they feel like, you know, they're made up to be the bad guy for asking for time. So I think that's huge. But at the same time, we also have that responsibility to speak up on as first responder as well. You know, if we don't express to y 'all what we need, then I don't think it's fair to expect y 'all to read our minds and meet us halfway if we're not willing to take steps toward

A highlight from ANCAP: EL ENIGMA DE LOS EXPEDIENTES PERDIDOS

"It is not a story of hackers, but of the success of millions of American dollars. It is, on the other hand, a story dedicated to the diversity and diversity of residents. It is not a scientific copy of the story of Uruguay, in the middle of the habitual survival of life, that is to say, one of the most important. With Raúl Séndical Mando, the monopoly of the governmental government, UNCP, is now a financial board. If opposition, if opposition is questionable, is entitled to the rise of more than 600 million dollars, it is a sign that it is about the economy of our nation. In this pursuit of inspiration, our story becomes a more secure one. In the center of these co -financiers, it is a spectacular spectacle. More than 3 ,000 people, constituents of the UNCP system, simply disappear from existence. This is the basis of the state of the country, not just in the summer, not even the minimum index of what the state of the country is doing. These achievements are in the country of transparency and the process that guarantees that the government of Uruguay is meant to be in the north. The separation of the most important is the capacity of the auditorium of the country. With this, the separation is what I would like to see in order to re -evaluate and validate the activities of the enterprise. When you think of more than 3 ,000 people, the frustration is strong. Imagine those, interminable files of documents, testimonials of transactions, mounted to the table. It is a way of improving knowledge, which will be able to be used only if it is evident in its own sense. If, by the way, this piece is full of our history, it does not separate us from our lives. No, it was delivered only in a way that was designed to work out our history. A deposit, combined with water and water, in major conditions of deterioration that led to all conservation measures. And now, even in the field of the credence. Can all of this be real? But, it is not there in the absence of this reality and in the breach of data for the history of its operations where our residency is, losing control of the fear and desperation. Because we are not expectations of this drama that is going on, if not in this great scenario. We can take it. We can use the words contained in the words of this variant. It is not just about deciding what is right or wrong. It is also about inspiring others to use their own words to question, investigate and defend their rights. It is about being. We want to control the inundation, we want to control the uncertainty, we want to control the freedom of the people. Because of the past that we have experienced, because of the existence of the rendition of things that we have, we have created something new. We can support the power that frees the residency, including us being included when we are in these silent terraces. It is a story about revealing the invisible, about restoring the dead, about recuperating our narrative. It is a story about you, us and others, about obtaining obstacles and obstacles to find our children who are in trouble in our interior. Of course, everything, each one of us will be in his interior in a rush of hope and desperation.

"Pride keats. Even the idea of private keys is kind of a weird thing. It's still a weird thing but back then it was definitely weird thing so i just started getting involved pretty substantially into the bitcoin world. While i was over there. And then i had the opportunity. I really had a choice at the time. So i by My post was basically going to transition to afghan at mando unit on an commando unit and in bed with them. Or i can go back and get my phd like again to pc program. And i just got married at the time. And i figured it was better for my health to go for a phd then to embed with in a commando commando group. So i chose that option that went back for my hd in finance and just had a very understanding department that actually let me study. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies from an es- pricing perspective. Did my my dissertation working interesting okay. So what is your opinion of crypto in. What's happening these days. It's in the news but they're still. I still talk to people every day. That don't even know what bitcoin or or crypto or blockchain. Stuff with most people still have any really heard much about it. I think the key was what you just said previously that your son was really enthusiastic about and got you into later. This expose you to it. I think that's that's key. So it's really the next generation and the generation after that and the generation at that were cryptos. Just gonna make a lot more sensitive traditional ways of doing finance So i once you're in the world in in pandora's box is opened stuff's not going away. Although the chinese now are regulated out of existence. That's not gonna happen especially because now the us is seems to be embracing it but basically what you have here is an open financial system..

O sea, me iba a dejar ahí. Ay, así de serio. ¿Su hijo te lo dijo así de serio o no fue? Fue bromeando. No, no fue fue serio. Yo pensé que era broma. Y entonces Gregorio dice, y cuando iba de regreso a la radio, no sé por qué, pero se me quedó grabada tu cara de menso. Y dije pobre bato, vienes de tan lejos. Ah, voy a ir por él, a ver qué sale. A ver qué sale. Se estacionó frente a mí y me dijo, Alejandro, Sí, señor, súbete. Y bueno, pues entonces ya íbamos a robar la sensación de de radio, pero nunca me dijo lo que planeaba hacer, en ese momento no me lo dijo. Entonces ya me puso a prueba, empecé a grabar, empezó a platicar conmigo, me conoció, y el día viernes me dice, amigo, ve por tus cosas, porque te quedas en Salinas.

"Confused So don't let them have a conversation about how to change the things together and work together on it as opposed to just wanting her just changing the things to get back. That makes i mean it really comes back for this place of ultimately you have to change his man and and whether she is what we teach what she comes back or not. You still have to work on you. The strategy employ usually is very much similar to what you just said. Maybe a little variant we. Actually if she's literally said. I don't wanna be married anymore. The time there is to literally let go do your work for yourself. Just be the change. Just live the change and if there's opportunity for conversation and there's an opportunity where she's willing to hear you out that's when you come with that which you just said right there right. Which is i've identified a lot of things in here. Are those things. And i really fucked up and i hurt you and it must have made you feel like shit. It must have made you feel vulnerable and scared and lonely. And i can't even imagine what that feels like it's ox but then doing that from a place of no expectation. Exactly that's i think is the difference right because so many men will do that. They'll come to me like oh my gosh i fucked up all these things and then they're like they come to apologize with their apologies are not this people. Don't want to hear him. Sorry they want to know. Do you understand me. And what i've been through and what you put me through and how. I hurt more than anything. And if you can empathize with their hurt and they know you empathize with their hurt and you leave it at that and you draw any expectations. I don't expect you to come home. I don't expect you to be a part of this marriage. I need to go work on how i treated you. I need to work on those things. And i'm going to go. Do those things that to me is way more of a vacuum of love. Like oh my gosh right like like if he did that to you your your response might have been like. I'm not sure where this is going. But damn that was hot. Braley like yeah seriously been like. Oh my gosh. Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for understanding what i've been through like. Let's at least meet up and talk and those are usually the guys in our you know. Because we don't save marriages. We saved men and the men that end up. Having new marriages with their wife usually come at it from that perspective or they manipulate they either see the nipple the fuck out of her until she comes home or they do it from the place of. Hey i'm letting go. I want a new marriage with you. The old marriage is dead. This is what i fucked up. This is how i own my shit and leave it at that. And if she comes back and she's ready. I call it joining you and your new adventure like women don't to be the adventure. They want to join you an adventure. Yeah and so. That's that's what we teach them. So thank you for validating that from a female perspective. I appreciate it. Thank you so much for being on and sharing your story It's incredible the work. You're doing with women what you've been through. You know it's one of those things where i can't rescue. I can't say i'm sorry for what he did. And how much of an asshole he was. But you deserve better. And i know you know that and i know that you're going to get that or if you're already have had that but but you deserve better and that's my hope and wish for you in all those women are going through the ship. They're going through right now. I wish i could give them all of a father's hug and help them realize that they don't it doesn't have to be this way and they're going to be okay. So thank you so much for joining us on empowered af. And we'll talk soon. This is mark santiago ceo and founder of empowered or. Thank you for listening to podcasts. Hour before you go. I want to give you a special invitation. Listen we've a program that is designed specifically for men who are hurting right now. Who are on the verge. Potentially of divorced who are facing potential separation already separated and they don't know what to do. They don't know where to turn they're dealing with. They're dealing with cheating. They're dealing with all kinds of shit if that's you. I want to challenge you to take the empowered man. Thirty day challenge. That's right the empowered man. Thirty day challenge. You can go to. Em challenge dot com right now in signed for the thirty day challenge. Here's why i think you should do it. You're hurting you. Need to understand wire hurting. You need to understand what is actually going on in week. One of the challenge. We are going to actually rip off that band aid a little bit and coach you through that process and then we continue to do that process all the way to the point where you start to make decisions that are empowered instead of disempowered. I don't know about you. But i would much much much rather make decisions from a place of strength that place of weakness. So if you're facing decisions if you're facing this anxiety what do i do. How do i respond with. My wife is being toxic. I don't know what to do. My wife is cheating on me. I don't know what to do. My wife doesn't love you. i don't know what to do. We are going to help you find those answers within their look. This thirty challenge is probably unlike any other. Call that we are on third part of that is. You're going to have a community of other guys that are going through exactly what you are going through. How Breaking Baseballs Unwritten Rules Is Changing The Game

"So we're going to rewind back last august when the padres and the rangers were playing each other home and home series between the san diego padres abbott taxes ranger and see eighth-inning. Thanks very much guys as we move along here to the eighth inning one. The cossio takes over for texas. The padres are up by seven runs and bases are loaded. that is all four and another walk. This sitting nicasio second. This will load the bases for the padre fernando tatis junior who's one of baseball's brightest young stars. He comes up to the plate and he works a three count now traditionally in baseball. You're supposed to not swing in the situation because it could be interpreted as trying to run up the score especially with the padres by seven runs and taty manager jayce tingler basically send them assigned to lay off the next pitch but tattoo doesn't see the sign and he crushes the ball out of the ballpark. This is to right. Field back at goes mando has done it again. Touchy junior grand slam. Hits a grand slam and so what happens after that is basically pretty familiar to a lot of baseball fans which is tattoos being the center of criticism for violating the unwritten rules of trying to run up the score. I didn't like it personally. we're up by seven and eighth innings typically not a good time to swing through and then something weird started happening which. I hadn't seen a lot in baseball. Culture in general was that people really came out in full force and start defending him. This is professional baseball. You've played at the end of this whole thing. I think you gotta keep in mind. Is the players. Game is a junior is not a child so stop demanding to be treated with kid gloves. It's time to get out of your feelings. Baseball boomers and it wasn't just media members. It

Nobody really things or considers the land the soil on which the crops are grown. That's really not in your visual when you think about farming and yet you know. The state of the world is such that if we continue to farm the waiver farming soil and land today remember not just farming proxima farming crops and soil and land. There's only sixty cycles left of cropping left on the land on earth today so that essentially another way of saying it as over two thirds of the land. Today is completely degraded berry degraded to the point where we're not. We're not going to be able to meet our demands for food. Fiber fuel remembers largest. Food is also fiber. So that's really the biggest problem were faced with as a planet it's not just for our startup is for everyone out. That's the biggest problem. How do you cheated. Grove wood fiber and fuel with the resources that we have today while continuing to meet the demands of our growing populations. And that's really where the soil piece comes in. Is you look at everything. That's being done today to farm. There's so much fertilizer that goes into farming rape there are some of the stats out. There are staggering. There's two hundred million tons of fertilizer that are being used today or farming but growing our coroner are even almonds grapes. You know anything that you'd think of this food game from mando is treated with fertilizer at some point and we don't need all that for license plans do need all of that fertilizer back. I'd say over a third to half of that. Fertilizer is not taken up by plants. It's run off into waters so it causes water pollution it causes air degradation goes back to the atmosphere and it causes. Soil degradation right. And so there's this whole concept of overuse that's resulting in seoul declaration. There is also the area where crops have diseases to plans. Have diseases stu and one of the number one tools that armor is really have in their toolkit to fight. Diseases are pesticides. Nobody here about pesticides all the time for farming and typically people think of it in a negative connotation. Oh it's killing bees. It's killing butterfly on bright and it's causing social degradation but farmers really do need it like. It is a key tool joke if diseases if we can help them better understand. What's in their soils. That can place these fertilizers and pesticides in the right acres for the right indications that the right risk mitigation scenarios bats really where data in intelligence content. What is that land telling you. What is that soil telling you before you go into front that crop. That's really where did on intelligence about soil is so critical today and it's so exciting like all. The technologies are sciences. Where technology is today. That's where we are at that next like we are at the frontier where we can bring. All of. this is in this technology today together to be able to unlock the power of soil to be able to provide this intelligence to our farmers so that they can make better decisions. So that's really the biggest problems were faced with as a planet it's not just for our startup is for everyone out. And so there's this whole concept for overuse that's resulting in seoul declaration.

"Any any. Won't he's eight. An iceberg of a man mount everest of a man. Silent right ben solos. I'd auditing we could see cheeky ben. Solo cameo very subtle. Does matter be crazy. Because if look if we see luke which i believe we will ryan then luke with other students martin makes sense might make sense especially a young ben by side. Looks like a law. Sense doesn't have to be huge. Doesn't even have to have speaking pop. Probably a probably wouldn't give him a speaking bob. Ben sodas never says anything in any canon. That's true you just how he just destroys everest salaries and absolute mount everest of man. I had been solo down as well. But it depends on where i go. The story in terms of the timeline because currently is about sixty s old so hey little six year old bank can. I could give him a been hand so he's no who was If we have a time jump of say. Full usa Ten years old. Then i think the challenge of seeing because then we're getting closer and closer to the time. When took him away to be trained. So there's a chance that we can see it again if if if lucas. What to if liquid soon want to get people talking about the mandate when they wanna get people talking. The open solo cameras matt of is ten is out as a matter. That's that's going to work my as long as these. These will come with the caveat of course as long as they get the story. I mean if. I want to get people's tongues waggin i mean solo appearing. I mean that's a. That's a great point. Might just from a marketing point of view. You know ben. Solo gives people just really chat tin a you even when we think of the final that came out not always announced a few weeks ago. People were mental about people complaining that the skull was still there obviously skywalk the skulls removed. But a tom bent solid. Because it's healed. When rai he was him that disobeys too so which is a lovely towel. A love that rises so people. I mean i love ben silo. It's my it's one of my favorite things by upside. Nine is that whole redemption ark. The dad on all my come on So there's a lot of emotional baggage there with ben solo just like when we saw luke skywalker mandalorian. You know i got emotional over just saying luke..

I'm going to take luke to mandala so we can tell me how ugly the architecture of the buildings. That's hurry. I think in what but they were beginning to like claw back a little bit by season. Seven toning down the crazy architecture. Mandala doesn't always get someone good question. Nevada i'm love it my you all very naughty little belgium up next next. We got none of than the boss lady. Emily bonner who asked this is a good one. Does your love of star wars ever overlap with other things. For example i love star wars and i love true crime examples of these overlap. Overlapping include the time. When ed kemper the at killer read the novelization of the original trilogy on audiobook for libraries for the blind as part of his community service wallin jail. Plus did you know bonnie. He s is a bunny. Ps young by ru was in ike out. She was in. Is it an. Xm my what about you does your love of stores overlap with other obsessions go voyeur. Why are you saying to emily's question. I love is regional retail reach. That goes in as quality. Ryan is a food based. Because i love him if tucker me and i love when i win star wars overlapped with other a visual medium at the family guy star wars. I thought hilarious Overlapping animated comedy with the galaxy. Far far away bish bash bosh every single fruit tyne with star wars is great offer then obviously are but but during the time of the last jedi. You could a garden salad with it. Why just because just because you could get one of those are the most absurd things that you could think of. Star wars has cornered. Occ three peos way. Back in the day star. Wars dr fighter and yoda mac and cheese caller muesli stuff. Like stuff eyeglass. Oh star was told as well. Two things i very much enjoyed going to geigo toe. Yeah pretty much. Food really star wasn't food and obviously you've got the cookbook as well. Not the the collecting cookbooks and things you stuff you can make is fun from. This is quite as deep as emily's wars because they were quality on is pretty much surface level. And it's more out of star wars overlaps with food because sometimes it can be great and sometimes it can be so nonsensical big man. Okay so. I absolutely adore photography. And i especially love good cinematography lockheed love when a scene can look like a photo when it follows certain roles or or even when it doesn't when it breaks rose and it still looks gorgeous. Akon help but think. Simony of many scenes in the force awakens just absolutely gorgeous. The last jedi by the original trilogy stalwarts style. That can burn. Much curry's light. You can kind of carry on through photography especially at top of tokar. Graffiti bit came became so popular in the last ten years or even photography architectural photography a very symmetrical looking buildings that very dark and gloomy enslow is cinematic is from cinema. That's exactly where their. Inspirations come from so for me. Photography's wanted them. Another one is general design and architecture stall bose is so rich with design. You know we can thank ralph mccaren so many other people for that the orders everyone took to really realize these visions because that in itself is a skill it's something is excellent in star wars and inspires me really to go on and read books and look online of these videos of the star wars and whatnot and building. All these wonderful things stall was managed. Look so worn. But we're so fresh so believable and i do think that in itself is such a strong off form the it then inspires me to go and replicated whether it's doing a little nath joran whether it's taking a photo whether it's thinking of films in my head that are one eventually. Do this sign many things so many things so for me emily. Our stall was really overlaps with creating because it just sparks your imagination last night. That's my answer. Moi was food. And luke's gone and given that wonderful when i team if doughnuts spot on my spot on your photography you know exactly what you gotta do to capture a moment anymore. But not if we're going to the store luke boys incredibly good at during that go his potocki just from for evidence that it's not just me blows smoke fantastic. So thank you. Emily i can. "What voicemail. Whoa voice mine. It's nice to hear a different perspective and some reasoning behind. That isn't it. My boy having switcheroo is having those initial issues with it and then also looking into it and being able to turn you. Turn your opinion. It doesn't happen very often. But you know as as he just so we'll put their hand and they were very good reasons why you could turn around and appreciate it. Thank you so much senator in. Yeah absolutely now up next. We've got another voice message. Yes we have is harrison hill. Let's hear it. My name is punked creations. In i m macos plant and big star wars fan today on the style will sessions. Podcast was luke skywalker. Too much fan service. In my opinion season two of the mandalorian was perfect. The right blend of new style was content with the right blend of the familiar including the vices that we saw the characters so to answer the question. No i don't think luke's go because inclusion was too much it fits nicely. What's a saucy and short and sweet message. We love it. Thank you for sending that in harrison yet legend not some big boy harrison who of it in the star wars universe. We had a couple of where where we had an awful lot of written Responses we picked up a few shannon moran friend of the show from postcards and the galaxies as said this is one of those cases. It takes both boxes of fan service and suiting the story. Because it wasn't him we would have had to explain yet. Another jet i wear have they been rob watson. Said it was perfect. I know there are other jeddah kicking around the galaxy. But luke is the jedi. It makes perfect sense. He would be the one to hear grow. He's all the most powerful jet are. There was a johnson says no it would have been. It would've been shuttered. The how 'bout between grogan but certainly didn't feel that way for me. Luke was the only fitting logical option. Just poet said. I was not found the fast service and star wars power said as much as an update is only purpose was found service. And now we're left too many questions so couple conflicting one. Which is what we love here on a station so if you want to thank you nose in. We love the conflict after world. That is what the wars is all about next. We got a spicy voice. Message from our boy daniel saltaire. Let's hear him you. Hello this jerem daniel. Ninety six and i'll be answering the question for the sewer sessions. Podcasts was the luke skywalker cameo to fan service city. I'd say no it. Because luke seems the most logical choice trained grow because in this time period. He's you know building his new jedi order and a soak as for as roma as yours would throw on and we don't know the fate of cow kostas. And that's why. I say the luke skywalker. Cameo wasn't too fancy one another spicy message. It's great to hear from the people in. Mia boy soak. It is just so good nassarawa. We get one of those in we. We gotta get one of those in. I'm telling you you guys you send in u delivered on the voice messages up. Next we got doug kimball. Let's hear made you. I'm doug kimball over in the. Usa question is if luke's cameo and the mandalorian season two final was to fans servicing. Absolutely not believe it fit the story and all of us no matter what generation you are. Want to know what luke was doing between return on the jed eye on the force awakens and this gives us a good insight i love. I love the dramatic pause. that what. What stuck in a si- what's he gonna say man daniel and doug thank you so much i send in those spicy voice messages in your legends. Say thank you you cut the noise and to round off the section of the band team and we have another post message from one of our patrons is too wonderful. Laura myler ron. Here's what she had to say. I do not think looks appearance in the mandalorian. Too much fan service. I thought it was perfect. It was a really good balance between giving us what we wanna see and not jeopardizing the story. Where luke is in terms of strength with the force fit the time line really well and who better to train grow than the guy who's planning on training a new generation djeddai messing around from laura now service eight. So thank you so much for that. Laura your first voice message into the sessions. Everyone who sent in a voice message which we did get to thank you so much those we couldn't get to also thank you so much and for the rating messages. There was no way. Could we include all of them because they were so many. I would encourage people to govern. Read some of them on the posts twitter instagram. They are there are some absolutely storming. Does not generally may not some big is on there which dimond euro so. We'll give you the social links to the nba. Thank you so.

"So i to that as well. They have got somebody new in. They hand sewn ordinary newark now. They can if they need a young so how they've got older If they want him seeing these contractually tied. Whereas if i've got a young lukin or cy young i post road of the they would have had him in the back. If he turned up it would have been the same guy but even look turns up again public kind of may have to be a da dot com again unless they got somebody who looks in depending on the timed up knocking older luke. I think we will do. I don't know when. But i kind of hope. It's really been because i don't want i don't want to become to go blind. Might now i completely agree. I completely agree. So you might you boy fan service too much too little And luke skywalker and the mandalorian. Now what what you. Final thoughts on. Goldilocks this to hot. This boasts to code this one. This is just right. I think that was it my for me. It was a a cheat cried. But i still got the moment. The aim with dean and baby everyone so it didn't overshadow for me. It was just on the ultimate cherry. On the on the icing. On top of that wonderful cake so for me. It was destroyed. But i'd i can't see why people watch it was but not for me. I knew what about you. My man I think i said this on our manda recap you know the day we watched step and it really did feel like i was watching a football team win the world cup champions league i think said but when we woke up today did you a lot of that my it really felt like that and it felt like if felt like the star wars fandom was celebrate in like you know everyone seen those main videos of the england fans when over one jumped down on a more hello the unaware fro that biz up in the end that is actually a thing when while playing in the world cup and it felt like that and for me how we did it that we felt that during lockdown during what's been one of the worst years and modern history for so many babble we were able to have that feeling of just pure escapism victory hope justice jed allah jed luke skywalker telling him i i said this on our recap remember that moment and just walks up because that was special and i'm not sure if we'll get one of those for a while is it was extremely special on paper will look back at that with fun nece they will mark my words so for me i value it.

"I saw whatever who just make it look easy. What sidney crosby on the glide dances. It's wonderful what luke skywalker. Mark hamill did the voice. We max jones stood in for luke onset and it was matt route. Jetty was the startup. also three people came together to create this version of luke skywalker and as we post say we loved it and we know that a lot of other people know everybody else did not put state and there were some voices saying it. Tied into much to the skywalker. It doesn't separate thing Did it take away from the mandalorian from dean. Jarring ending himself with some of the questions. I saw when i for me. It didn't because see in baby thin together. That is what. I remember from that finale gen rees because asked pick that that might be always out with his father. In some wasn't in that moment he tightens his pharmacies facing. And i might like you said. I was humble but mandar is in that moment. He's just he's just a man. He's a phobia bicycling looking down and they always be son. I'll see you again our promise. And that's what it's all about want. Luke helps helps them. Basically got them to that point without luke skull there is. You don't have flat point where they could have that boy but so to you might story. Now you've just you just go on back to you. Take away from ending Until you look look at the other side of the now do you feel is a detriment to the see the series that is now fairly intrinsically tied to the skywalker. Soccer went to begin with. It wasn't something that was saying. Wasn't it is good point. My is a good point so in short nov. because i i think this is in the loss jet. I think you heard of it. One of the main themes of that film is failure and in the season finale of Season two of man. Do you know the whole gang and mando himself especially come so close to winning so close and he doesn't. He doesn't what that shows us. Vermeille riot when i watch this ball. That shows us is the actually sometimes. You need a hero coming in help you. You need this greater figure. Come in and assist you because you can't always do it on your own even with a team around to even with capable people around you. Sometimes you need that outside influence. I think there's a ton of things you could go on about this right and for me. I actually felt that that was important. Because that's the story anyway. From the first season the story has been grow goo needs to get to a djeddai. He needs to oh to his people and that was in my head. My boy and i think that's why i always was signing up out luke skywalker. Because we'll yeah is luke skywalker coups to me. That thought a way more feasible than soco as fra feasible. Because i know luke's alive. I know it is guaranteed. Luke's alive he's out. He's kind of a central figure and he's any santa new to in my head. I'm not yet make sense. It makes me. It makes sense for the story. It makes sense for why he adds to the episode and the season in general bro. Come on dude. I hear you bio say listen. I hear the counter arguments. I hear the counter arguments. But listen my boy. It's like if i go to curry house incomes the car in allergy. He comes to carry analogy. We luxa right. I don't like flaming act. that's nice. that's a nice chicken bowie which one of my fabs anyway. i'm not man. i love this. Someone comes along and goes. I don lie that not not spicy food or no not even not art. Donald indian food. You know in my head. I won't be thinking a you mental. You got him on about indian food is the one is the banger but hang on oso genoa fair enough. So that stat pilot about. They lie chinese chinese. Is that five no debate really. There's there's just not a debate todd et to have. Is that really and listen no. They're different account. Help this a really con- did for me. It didn't feel fan subsea because it played in two story. The we've been given since season one fan service isn't a bad thing. A fan service gets tossed around an open up the marvel fanfare about it. The fans hear about it. I'm sure harry potter fans will hear about if when the new game comes out and this parrot tv series five services in the bad things. Bad wound faster is good. Fans are the ones who watch these shows and and luckily be saying about people are cop turning up that his fan service to me because the hardcore ethos helical but fans have star wars. He wants to read or expand their knowledge of the law. Read that book and put it away happened so that was good. Never gonna mimicking company. Is lighter cup. Vance start onscreen. Wow that is fan service that is given the fans what they didn't think would ever happen. And i when i saw him on screen yes was as loud as look because it was acknowledgement right. So it's fan service. The way is to find. I think is wrong in has a nick nick. Social media we. What's wrong with giving the fans what they want. And of course. You can't have too much of it. Every episode of the mandalorian could have had. We have had. Princess larry one episode. We could have run into han solo the next episode. That's bad storytelling. Did i mean that's that is just pandering. But having luca member yoder say when gone amoy the last jedi. You'll be a soaker is at the school enforce but she has so sad. I am no dead. I is is hanging with the spice wales and thrown somewhere. Calcutta's this pre date. Do i mean those. Three two of those three would have to explain an awful lot. Who is extra geezer whose cow cases fella we're talking about introduction introducing an acknowledgement water cannon. But you can't take the most important moment the series in chucky and cal casey's and then expect people to believe i'm going to go and play that game. Actually now you call. You just can't do that. Dod personnel was luke skywalker and speaking of cannon. He's he has been deified. Like i thought he was a myth of the excellent Legends of luke skywalker book by ken. Liu has cates similar to roster. Has his kids talk about you. Know these legends. I've heard of luke skywalker some of which are true. Some but.

"Spooky boiled everything is combined in yemen. This up top is a lot of people who start childhood fantasy coming. True is this is a hero the hero that told luke skywalker that this is a moment for him to shy why he was. You know the djeddai in. And i'm sure we'll touch upon other luke appearances in the paper for that particular moment in might no floppy whoopi. I didn't think it could happen. But in the moment ours man auto for that so my first reaction was. This is the greatest thing to ever happen in the world ever so this because it was everything came together and then didn't grow is what set me off. I born in laka child So that actually became the moment of the episode for me was the end with dana. Baby yoda do the loop. It was was spot on wasn't end. Yeah reaction was very similar. Yeah i and. I think that's the same for so. Many people probably a lot of people who are listening to this right now. Probably some similar emotions brought you know. Maybe not who didn't feel like that and that's fair. Play for me. May i'm going to expand on that thing that i said earlier about justice big boy throughout the episode actually throughout the season and really ho- series mando isn't puffing and that's really highlighted in this episode. He is an extremely skilled warrior as an absolute hero yet. That's not much he khandu. There's no matter how often do really But the dot troopers man. He neely go absolutely heated and done by one. Mando extremely strong thus atoll warrior coletta intelligent fighter. The doll troopers. These just leads the the the best droids we've ever seen in star wars right. They are they mad. That better than nf enough seen in the prequels. I didn't say wrote a rotor either. The no rotor rogers. No rojas artem on a few roger. Rogers i but anyway everyone in that is extremely capable. That's on trying to say and luke skywalker comes along muxome allied. They don't stand a chance daiei. it's a joke. It's like an entry level game for luke like he wants. Luke arrives at the door and takes ban on gang violence as thinking of an expert. Turn on their okay. This is well. I made this feels. He just makes it look easy like nokia. Do bang bang bang. And i remember thinking that my boy back in two thousand nine when he was playing in primarily for man united and i thought man like this is special. And that's what a jed i kind of is meant to be. But luke isn't just the djeddai he he at this point. He's pretty much. The only djeddai who is a master who is a skywalker you know so. Cut it some impressive mad stuff. And she's obviously incredibly capable. But lucas lie ages. Didn't hate us gentlemen eight just one. It a challenge. It was not a challenge. And that's the point of the episode. We we have this whole episode. Where the gang all struggling and they just get to the finish line and then not not taken away from you get on might and suddenly heroes that we love and adore my boy. What happens the humbled by. I are humbled mendoza you. Jed eye luke's ham yeah. Amanda must be thinking flaming axes. What we went to war with these guys. We've meant to right than i. Now you know if you like in that room that time. That's why i'm thinking anyway. Boy look at gideon's face up boy. My man gideon he was. He said he was lapping up. You're not mean. He was like the cat and i got the cream then suddenly. He sees the lightsaber knee realized. Just who that is because let's face it. He knows that he worked to norwich. Hence why his face drops and he realizes the game is up and white choice to head off because he knows the game is up. Skywalker is cutting through those joys. Alcohol north through butter is tucking them out with a million. Yeah it would you say it was. It showed the power but it was still done out of tastefully crushes the droids in inside but it was done politic. Say about renaldo. "mando" Discussed on Star Wars Sessions

"Is amid bests. I am jar jar. Binks in the prequels of star wars. And you're listening to star wars sessions which is probably case. Best stars program. Now i've just heard the would mandalorian and that would whereas once a month may maybe think Really wanna watch is episodes. Claymores wasn't rebels now. I love him. I can't wait to see more because of that. Tv socal the mandalorian. We're folks no not today. 'cause it's been pretty much a month now since we had The conclusion of season two and that scene in the end. And that's exactly what we're gonna talk about tonight was luke skywalker because appearance spoiler in the mandalorian quote unquote too much service or is it integral to the story and the reason why we spoke about this because that very reason we've heard a lot of people online everyone's very much and to their opinion we may or may not agree with it. But they're saying look you know is trumping. The shark a bit too much now. Did we need luke ward. We need to tie it to the skywalker soccer with the bigger picture. Too much fan service. We've we've heard and again if you very much and talk to their opinion. We'll just within the ones in the middle tablet with chatterbox. It so quick. We kind of soon as we realized that this could be a topic. We jumped on his wondering. We might. yeah may because. I think there's quite a few opinions on this one but also for once it seems to be the majority of people end up in the same place to spot whatever opinion i have which is surprisingly fresh coming from the star wars fandom to be honest is a surprise show about welcome on my own. Yes i think ironic but geno won't may twenty twenty was a rough one. It was a really really rough on. It was like you went out with you. Might and you went on twenty pup pup crow and It was tough. It was really really rough. We've said for the last few weeks and now mumps the mandalorian season two just came at such a good time for escapism and storytelling because it felt like twenty twenty wasn't just wasteful especially in tv and film Because it was really beginning to feel like that and so many of us with thinking man's baby get nine save us. I was confident. I was confident but also a wanted it to be good. This better begats. Sean fabric devoutly etc. Everyone's the year size safe. The dream save the rebellion. And want my. I think dislodged episode of the mandalorian. Kinda started a one lie to you. And i think i mentioned i. Man on our run manzoor and recap for the episode. So the first round mentioned this. I did catch myself kinda like my own thinking man like west this episode going. This doesn't feel like a finale in just storming ship and not set. What's what's actually going to happen here. And it's kind of like by the the second half of the episode you begin to realize okay. This is leading to something here in iowa. Set my boy those troopers the troopers. That is what that caught on. Detroit's detroit things. The doctor was. I was saying you know the reason that we are being shown powerful and the almost indestructible is because it would be perfect ally sabo wounding or like sword voting character. Come and take them down right. That's smart we've been been showed these guys and lo and behold it happened you know a lot of people were i've theorized and it was going to be as robbery from star wars rebels. Some people thought was going to be a soaker because we introduced to a soco earlier. On in the caesar and there were few of us may boy who were a few of us who said i think it could be. Luke luke skywalker. Don't know when you i wasn't saying yet. Definitely going to be the season finale but from an early oral signed my assigned man. Not luke skywalker. Kamyab it's come in. I feel a compiler and then we got there. And i cried 'cause roy that's why i was so emotional mad because it did feel like i was at my grandma's house in the nineties. Vhs copy of redundant agenda is something and this was just bonus same a just felt it. Felt like justice to it fella everything you know just a truly remarkable djeddai coming through and doing his thing. I have something to expand on that. The oil will revisit. My boy what using can make lie very similar to in terms of the episode. I remember mentioned on our recap that for the most. The season finale was just a decent episode of the mandalorian. good episode. it was the gang storm in the ship goes get it done. Manda was infiltrate a certain different area. System is what man that has based but it was so far. No few moments enervate today. And it's not just the luke's the scene afterwards grow grew and dean is where we sold it for me but Yeah there was somebody out there coach. Luke who has been calling for an awful long time and we've had tom to graduated because i believe it was coming anywhere near this season. I decided not on the this season. Every most of the time looks at it. Said he probably will do. But i cannot see in any month or somebody's happening this season. Lo and behold it did. I was on the train thinking what i set her up. She's the mind. Skype with grow sheets will connect to him somehow. Says he's endanger us for turn up and the the but how wrong will we end. Yeah when it happened to when it happened. One x wing great received. Why what actually out on a la. Now it's gonna be it's gonna be trapped wolf is going to be flown. Turn-up isn't it will cost saver out on the walking down the hallway in a row. You cannot have done it. I just remember sitting forward. As soon as i saw that swing a said i said on the show sat four. No lici the older blake. Because i know one in the house is no by an was a of yes. Yes god knows what the neighbors thought that. Yes your house come on. And then obviously the saipan. What came off was it was just one of those moments with With the school with loot fake ludwik johnson skull. Which just made everything this epic. A the'real.

"I ordered to be resurrected nuns when things about storytelling is seeing the resurrection and the end of the cycle and campbell's model a lot of times in movies. We only go halfway around the model. We never see the rebuilding in that. Were is in myth. When they had more of a book see the hero leave and return and then re absorb into the real world. And we haven't seen the jedi order re turn to the new world me so this is where i think fabric felonious really clever because they know that the natural part of the cycle is to return to the app of so lou casta finishes are casta descend to the wizard of the order anne and in the timeframe that we have because we see the start of that cycle again in the sequel trilogy. Yes interesting. I had that thought when i was like we know. He can't go with luke because we know what happens. Luke's jet i like. Yeah i don't think right now. At this point you could take the mandalorian encapsulated it and it would be free. It's rebels is very what i'd say. Korea reboot proof. And i think the mandalorian will be too. I don't think it's going to I don't think it's going to look at the sequel trilogy for anything when people say oh this may be showing how smoke or whatever it's not it's just it's just going on stuff that was in the expanding universe. Think it's gonna to be really encapsulated so no matter what happens with star wars because people are like oh it can never be. It's going to be single time. It wasn't a single time line win. The lower started because they were already writing over stuff. That was a single time on. So it's it's such a silly notion that i don't know why it's so embedded in our can fan culture that we're not gonna break free. We've seen superman in different duration. See batman in different iterations. We've seen spiderman in different iterations. They're all great and so we shouldn't be afraid of different iterations of this myth yet. That's an excellent point because we see this all the time of superheroes but so much like a pushback when it comes to star wars kind of the way they sold it to people. But i mean if you look at marvel they respect to their core lower and you can still do that and i think the worst thing you do is say you're locked into this. You can't gail simone famous comic writer. A second about shadow princess leia story. She just told the story on twitter the other day and it was like amazing princess leia story and they were like oh no. You can't do that story because of this canon and this lower in lay wouldn't be there and i'm thinking we missed out on this like crazy good story but they're starting to do that with id w comic swear they don't it's not cannon necessarily they might it might just. It's just a story. It's a cool story and it might not be in the time line and i think as you get more people comfortable with it. They'll be like okay. Well and i feel like i just the subtitles from the the spin offs of a star wars story. Yeah and they fit them into the time. But if it's just that this is a star wars story now maybe we can just move this out of the time line and say like almost like kind of a what s but even without even putting them one if just the exact i like. I like the direction. I love where you're reading your headed..

"It's justice fascinating wanna tear it all apart in a good way not He can start to how it works on your brain because that's why your average friend can access because myth is a way that we speak on a human level to each other and so it's so cool because it just people watch it and their brain it works for them like so the mic demand. Laurine myth and the jedi are myth. They're all myths. That don't even actually have. We know the mandalorian cultures decimated. Their world has gone. The jet orders decimated. So all they are in the story are myths and these characters are going to reshape the myth within the myth. It's so cool the music and that's why they should have gone there in the first place because it's rape for doing star wars storytelling because it's the like this is the sweet spot. Because they can do whatever they want with agenda and the mandalorian at this point and they're actually going to. I think complete the cycle. And the way george lucas intended to be completed. I think this big epic event that comes next year is going to reshape the way we think about the jet and mandalorian but instill in the way stars wants to be But just for a new new generation to think about the janai the mandalorian. What does it mean. who's the heroes who are we. Who do we get to be. It's so fascinating too. So which direction do you think they're going to go with that. I'm thinking they may be are headed towards reclaiming mandala. You're absolutely that's that if you look at rebels low. All was the crux of that they started on low fall and went away and came back and so manda lure is the is what will happen. And i actually think. Bobo fats gonna. He's not the person we think he is. I think he's a different person than we think that a lot of people think he is and tattooed his lay ground. And we're going to see kind of some. I don't think he's going to be a bad guy on tattooing. I think he's going to be a good guy. Tattooing and then they're going to reclaim tattoo. We're gonna see reclamation of mandalorian so the jedidiah rebuilding the mandalorian rebuilding. You have to rebuild to have a a fall again. So you know that's how you move forward but as long as we've been star wars fans you've always been waiting for the glorious jet..

"Knowing the character we know where she is but just for people who don't know who she is she sort of in that inbetween. She's in the mist where she is an agenda right now. Even though the episodes call that she has said. I am no jet. She walked away for an order. And you know she's in the grey outfit not in the white that we see the rebels kinda get some placement there but her coming in the midst of sort of statement about who she is. I mean it's that whole episodes about people not being really who they are. She's not really the djeddai in the magistrates. Not really magistrate. She calls herself that. And you know they ask if he's a in the guild and he's like oh last time i checked even though he isn't any worse everybody's like not really who they say. They are called himself also. It's all about kind of misrepresentation. But that fading in and out is really dave going hard on visuals to tell you a little bit about the character it and even if you wouldn't know that later on people come back and go. Oh i see. She's just sort of in the shadows. She isn't accepting the role as being jedi again. I believe she'll come back and say she's a jet. I had there yet. I agree and i think this episode shows kind of a bridge because when one of the big things when she first kind of steps up in the magistrates like show yourself djeddai. I would have bet money that the next words out of her mouth were. I am no jedi. Because that's what she said to antigen in rebels when she says that then but she doesn corrector. She doesn't deny it but she doesn't seem to embrace it either and that just goes on about asking the magistrate for what she wants in giving her a bit of a threat. Like i'm coming for you. You you have what i want and i thought it was really interesting to see that. I think you're right. We're going to see this as part of her journey to accepting herself as djeddai again and finding out what that means to asuka now and that so cool and now we know that there is an asuka. Tano story too with more live action. So i'm hoping that's what it is. Who knows but. I kind of feel like there's going to. She has a journey. A quest i think dave laney sorta reference at in the interview. He did that. She has her own quest which we sort of get hints to when she talks about thrown and kind of just so exciting. So i mean we're both on it like we wanna turn on her comfort episode. And it's going to be yes yes for sure because a lot of my like you know favorite kind of emotional moments. My favorite kind of fan girl moments. Come from come from that episode. Two which is is interesting to me but the episode that i do have to shout out and appreciate in his probably maybe became one of my favorite episodes to talk about was Eleven the heiress and for me. This one is going to be really special to be because this is the episode that got by friends to watch the animation. I had to separate friends one of them. Who is very much like a. I don't enjoy the animation. it's it's not my particular style like she doesn't see it as a a form of lesser storytelling. It's just hard for her to connect with and so she really kind of doesn't consume things in that medium lot and so she was like..

Protests and riots continue across the country

"Hunter show we're talking about what everybody's talking about the riots what to do to stop him no dialogue there's no discussion until the riots and many way shape or form and this is how insidious the antifa mutants are they knew it thank you the nation was United in disgust at the video of the killing of George Floyd things could have been done it really could have been done but and even doesn't want things done they want to destroy the N. T. FOR that has been built up and defended by the left wing media and ignored or cheered on by Democrats they wanted to destroy and they did it they did you can say they agitated but they didn't make anybody smash a window they smashed windows other people piled thrown stole stuff from the apple store so all the good will that was there and all the momentum to actually do something it was destroyed was just and that's what they want they don't want people getting along the left doesn't want people getting along well after what he doing we talking about why you quit Democrats well Keith Ellison member Keith Ellison who is a member of Congress from Minnesota he was the number two guy at the democratic national committee's Democratic National Committee vice chair he ran for chairman he lost to Tom Perez he was vice chair he is now Attorney General of the state of Minnesota he is a proud supporter of antifa he's also a proud supporter of Louis Farrakhan what what do you think you're gonna get when you elect that let's go to Alex in Baltimore Alex thanks for holding welcome Hey I didn't really talk about anti fur over real quick you go back and look at all the people that interacted over the years especially the inauguration antifa whiskey off in DC people if people are released they're they're let off of charges so a lot of yeah so there's a lot of a lot of support all the charges and all the arrests on inauguration day and all the stores smashed in the cars burned all the charges were dropped eventually into right away because there would have been angered by like what the hell you mean you're not going to charge these people they charge him and then when they thought people would be enough time had passed and people weren't looking they grab the churches don't always what I what I wanna make two points first of all this is gonna sound we're taking tacky but this isn't really a protest you know protest isn't in the constitution you look at what it says it says you have it you can reach out to Mando government a redress of grievances what is that mean it means you can also send me details okay okay but you know if you're not going to the legislators with legislation stating what you want and it's not really a protest going on young at cops I hate you it's not gonna change anything and are stupid people in this country that really think something's going to come from that you need if if there's something to be changed it got to be done to the law otherwise it's not a standard that we can uphold right so and the other thing I want to talk about you got guys like Tony and there was an African American gentleman I didn't catch is intro but our service members service members not Fred and you feed the attitude there the servicemembers said you mentioned and just what you mentioned in the intro here you mentioned that Antipolis breaking the windows and the guy said you were you brought up the looting and he said well it's white people breaking the windows what are black people supposed to do and then you mentioned black on black crime he said well that's why people give and god you know there's no there's the added to that black people don't have any agency that they can't possibly make decisions for themselves and therefore they can't be held accountable you know uncomfortable conversations Cody wants to have uncomfortable conversations I'm looking at FBI crime statistics right now from the last twenty years okay and I'm not talking about per capita total killings it over to one every year black people killing white people over white people killing black people and then when you take into account that they're only thirteen percent of the population and we've all we've been over sixty percent the last twenty years you realize that the rate is eight to one you know we have that conversation or is that racist the ADL says if you've mentioned that if you mention that constituted different across different races you're racing so we're we're not allowing ourselves to have a real conversation that need to be set when these rights happen the next day you shouldn't be able to protest because like I said they're not really asking for anything specific I we know black lives matter we know if George Ford name okay but what change is gonna come from that one of the laws we can pass and and what can we do and as far as eighty four trump's been such a disappointment I really think that that declaration of that being a terrorist organization will be refunded before the election if not it within the week well he has to make it first he hasn't he the president any disappointment in this too but the the responsibility for situations like this doesn't really rest with the president of the United States he he is you know he's the guy the local authorities and then the state authorities and then if they ask for federal help then the federal government immediately short of declaring martial law the president can can't do a lot but he should be saying things a rather long just tweeting things there's rumors that there's going to be at an address today but we'll see the the executive order on censorship real quick with my last point he should have been all that many of the social media companies and get away with being a publisher and a platform and executive order he did sort of almost motivates them to be a publisher which is going to lead to more censorship of the occasion hold and then as a platform that's what we want that that way no American can be denied access and it doesn't if you take the responsibility off of the social media companies then they have no excuse to censor people he did the opposite as well what will happen what could happen and it's got to be changed by law not by statute completely to be fully effective but what would happen is a couple of lawsuits lost would cause them to have to make an uncomfortable choice and that uncomfortable choice would likely lead to them going back to being a platform and and that's that's this step bid there was there's no way the president can act and get it all the way around the bases on his own it takes legislation legislation is being drafted but the house Democrats are never going these are their donors these are the people that they support they're never going to allow it to happen but next time Republicans are in charge maybe something will happen but it's also possible that much squishy Republicans won't do anything about it anyway Eddie in Atlanta thanks for calling in any here are your core let United healthcare plan it could have been stopped on Friday after protesters I've with there and sports physical stuff goes out over the falls in the broadcast in long enough for me to hear one line from the woman is free but far fairer for Daniel Farke is you should white people have the effective gains so basically that that kind of day you'll going on down there when the framers are with their permit was over with our mayor put police off a bicycle as the first or in line at the CNN building police officer were thrown to the ground by I white woman in a white man and he got up off the ground and the police did nothing I come alive after they wanna burn the city down you watch and it went from that to three in the emissary spray paint everything but not windows and then from there they started well Hey if they don't let us have free reign here so they started busting all the cars that meet certain party everything they are mayor get on TV at ten o'clock and said y'all just need to go home well you know she's not quite helpful future bottoms of these people were too busy having fun born in the town down but they're not they're stealing TV's they're not watching TV either at his house I think they're going to zero in on TV yeah and basically the keeper of please get rid of the master barbers down there the state troopers were down there and nobody did nothing they just let him into it and it's just like a kid if you say your this is very important the police on the grounds that you're violating the law get out of the street okay and then the police to come down there to vote thanks same street as always they won't get a credit down here in the whole thing started because people are blocking traffic and you know ratcheting it up you know they like every fifteen to trample people out of cars and stuff you have to stop stuff like this when it starts right as it starts or you're not gonna be able to stop it that's why they are mayor of DC the mayor of DC setting an eleven PM curfew okay that's really late and stupid but it didn't matter because until at least two thirty in the morning they were marching around smashing and looting they still were in Georgetown they were smashing and looting and beating up store owners who are trying to protect their property so if you have an eleven PM curfew and it doesn't mean anything then what's the point of the curfew it's failed leadership R. block is is saying that the the the everything is been messed up by the police the police are the ones that have sparked the violence which is not not true they've please send anything yeah the wealth the Huffington post had a thing I try to find it but it was their headline was police turned violent or something like that police turned violent against protesters like the right now I'm listening to you it's because they've turned out to be as they enter the comedy store but there's no news on there anymore during the day they are I was so embarrassed by that the networks ABC CBS the local affiliates here thank you well we don't do this in Atlanta this is not it Lana and they were just very code everything is so pathetic in the M. at one point one I got himself I believe in buying the place this is all well maybe I didn't say that right you know yeah the slip but yeah the the headline in the Huffington post yesterday was copper age colon police violence nationwide and there's pictures of riders okay okay yeah Rosenstein's report if you know any fourth of ten thirty and it's not a qualified so maybe they'll get serious after fever come to town tomorrow to go to work what's it feel like tomorrow you start putting that very well in there and they still didn't do anything they start the place started closed down but nothing happened it's very simple you have a friend with north south east and west for most of March and then you close in just like you did when you got it got scrapped the rob a bank is in the works and then you and then you just arrested and taken to jail get him off the street yep particular you know what to do any needs the people in leadership down I appreciate the phone call stay safe in Atlanta and keep listening to my radio sucks compared to this anyway let's go to Tim and hands into him hello yes it was terrible what happened at man but the looting this takes away from the whole calls on it and Nancy said it's opportunism masking as outrage it really is they have left wing agitators know exactly what to do they do this for a living they did they did they practice constantly up in Portland for the entirety of the trump administration every weekend in Portland there days over every week they have a day of rage where they they harass people they beat on cars as they drive past they get really angry they destroy things every once in awhile and the mayor of there lets it go and it doesn't make the national news because it's Democrats doing the Democrats are gonna are gonna criticize their base they've got the vote of the people in the street white black doesn't matter they got their vote they're not going to criticize and they don't have to criticize and there is no amount of destruction that can cause them to go Hey wait a second we probably shouldn't be doing this it's it's O. K. blue let it go

Musicians Are Canceling & Postponing Asian Tour Dates Due to Coronavirus Concerns

"The Corona Virus Ariss already has claimed more than one thousand lives in mainland China since it was first detected in the city of Wuhan. The virus has spread to two dozen other countries injuries and now some bands and musicians are postponing or altogether canceling tour dates in Asia. I spoke with billboards. Pop correspondent Tamar Herman About Corona virus concerns and she started by telling me which acts have been affected by the Healthcare Bryant. Now we're seeing a lot of artists canceling events in Asia Who you know? Spend the board. Whether they're China focused axe Japanese. Ask reenact the pixies just cancelled something. You know the Boston Orchestra cancelled a a lot of K pop and Hong Kong based in Mando Pop. Artists are canceling their tours within Asia. But beyond that we're starting to see some Asian acts cancel their tours beyond Asia. So so a few K pop groups recently cancelled European legs of their tour in addition to either postponing or cancelling dates of shows in Asia. So we're kind of seeing a lot of people really Trying to anticipate the worst because we really don't know so much about corona virus right now so I think a lot of people are trying to take a preventative action to make sure that they both artists and as humans. They're not unwittingly the cause of of a mass outbreak. A concert or something so are they concerned that that by staging an event with a lot of people in one place it could accelerate the spread of the virus. Are they worrying about their own personal health. Ulf I guess they could also be worried about whether or not people are going to show up and buy tickets. What are the factors that are going into these decisions? So it's pretty much all of the above you know people will are not really sure how the virus spreads right now. We really don't have a whole lot of information. We just know that it's spreading pretty rapidly so I think there is kind of the concern of artists travelling internationally or just even interacting with more people than usual especially when some parts of China and other other countries are already putting people under quarantine. So kind of just preventative you know. We don't want to engage with the virus. We don't want our fans to engage the virus UK Pop ax gave out. You know masks. They made sure there was hand. Sanitizer in Apple's so and I'm pretty sure that was right as we started hearing about the lack back of masks. And now we're hearing more and more either cancellations or putting off the dates end kind of trying to find some middle ground but a few events are still being held. The With the aid of digital media livestream is and whatnot. Ray Now things are pretty unclear. Nobody really knows what's going on so it just Kinda seems like people are being preventative for the sake of being preventative. A lot of the concern right now is in Asia but the virus seems to be spreading. Globally are there acts who are now canceling canceling outside of Asia. Maybe in Europe maybe in North America at what point are people reconsidering their entire tours so KEPA play bent seventeen just cancelled the rest of their. Ot World tour. They were supposed to go to Europe and a few other countries in Asia after having already toured throughout Asia in the US and now they just kind of put a halt halt to it and they just said we're not continuing this tour. We don't really know what's going on in Corona viruses. Just too much so we are seeing that another I think another pop group Ab six. It's also canceled their upcoming European tour. Were haven't really heard so many cancellations in the US yet but we also haven't had many cases of corona virus in the US yet. So it could be that there are more in Europe. So we're hearing more beret now. Predominantly the cancellations are Asia based but we're increasingly hearing about outside out of Asia as well we're talking with Tamar Herman at billboard about concerts being canceled over corona virus ears when an organization like the Boston symphony any orchestra goes on a tour to Asia. They are in some ways kind of cultural ambassadors. They're bringing their music to an audience. That might not have heard it before. But when pop bands are touring. It's basically how they make a living because streaming has really impacted the amount that artist can make off of record sales. So how important. Horton is touring and the merchandise related terrain to most bands. And it's GONNA be a financial problem for a lot of bands. Were having to cancel. Yeah it's wearing makes a lot of money so so you know the the postponements kind of makes sense for the few acts that have postponed their tours in there could probably try to re new pick a new date. That's GonNa be a way that we're going to the artist. Try Not to lose out on the money but artists that have canceled their whole tours like beyond even the pop ax. We see also not only Boston Symphony Orchestra. The National National Symphony Orchestra have canceled their Tornado. Like we're seeing total shutouts happening and so it's not only going to impact them financially because now oh you know they've already signed contracts with their performers. They're not making any money soon that the orchestra still has to pay their staff. There's going to be a huge lost their size soon. Boom we're GONNA see some bands in some companies. TRY TO RECOVER THEIR LOSS by setting up last minute events or concerts in the near future closer to home. Maybe but concerts ticket. Sales are GONNA have to be refunded. That's going to be huge loss for companies as I mentioned that group seventeen. They closed out the whole tour and they had had huge arenas that they were performing and so now they have old loss of ticket and revenue and just the general contractor fees that you put into when you're putting on a a show you're paying promoters you. These people still have to be paid so I think we're GONNA see pretty sizable losses to some degree. Depending on how these companies recover recover their losses. And it's time will tell how big these losses are but it's pretty sizeable just in the moment to see you know saying. Oh we're we're shutting out three five ten dates that we've already sold tickets for that many has to be refunded. The money has to be found somehow in other business. You know. We're probably GONNA you see a big dip in a lot of music companies if this keeps on happening so the death toll from the corona virus has surpassed one thousand people in mainland China which has passed what SARS killed in two thousand and three. So how. How are the cancellations compared to what happened around? SARS seventeen years ago right now AL I. It's really hard to compare this just starting. We don't know how long this is going to last. And hopefully things can be figured out more quickly than that Tamar. Herman is a pop correspondent for Billboard Tamar. Thanks so much for coming on the

Thank you ramming me, by the way, although I'm co hosting so, yeah, let's go to I love having. You wanna thank you. Appreciate it. Yeah. So Star Wars celebration happened and one of the things that was announced was a new video game. It's called Star Wars jet. I've fallen order on law and order don't. Sorry. Sorry. I'm not a video games expert. I don't know if you guys could tell hey, we we're always welcoming new new people who to the fold, so please I'm more than happy introduced stuff. This is is set after the events of episode three of installers Kanter, venue, the sip. It follows this order sixty six that, you know, obviously is to wipe out all the Djeddai. I know. So I it's focused on that story line. What I find interesting though is the studio that's making it. It is studio called respond entertainment, the founders of that helped create call of duty. They also created a couple of really high profile games most recently one called apex legends. Which isn't that the new fortnight? It is basically the big fortnight rival. So and has gotten a lot of buzz. So seeing them attached to this project is very fascinating. It also has believe one of the minds behind God of war, which is another popular adventure series. So there are a lot of high profile names involved. So it looks like it's gonna be really good. The only drawback is EA has not been the best steward of the Star Wars license lately. And they're battlefront games have gotten a lot of flack. So there's a little bit of like uncertainty about what are we going to get here? But again Star Wars video game, very promising. Okay. Quick off the top of your head. What's your favorite stores game ever? Okay. Okay. So I'm going kind of off the grid because there's so many about Djeddai, but I went with Star Wars Republican Mando which came out in two thousand five and it's set during the clone wars at it features this commando unit, basically, and it's on a team based in doing all these missions on different planets in the Star Wars universe like cash, and Cachique and other places. It was a lot of fun. I really liked it Star Wars the reputation video games is kinda hit or miss. So this is one of the really good ones. So I'm picking Republic commando. All right. So that'll do it for our sub infra talking tech today Star Wars jet. I fall order coming soon November fifteenth on Xbox One and PlayStation for NPC Star Wars Republic commando. Yes. On XBox launch like two thousand five with a long time ago. So great stuff to look forward to. So once again, I'm Kelly Lawler, I'm Bert Molina.
