"I had a great time talking to our old Powell, David Oyelowo. We first met him when the movie Selma came out in which he played Dr Martin Luther King. One of the really find find actors. But in real life, one of the just the natives, most personable guys, you know when back in the old days when we used to travel To do our interviews, you know, and we'd be in London or at the Toronto Film Festival or wherever we were. France Rome Hollywood In New York most often we would often You know, run into many of the stars down in the hotel restaurant in the hotel bar after we were done working, and almost all of them avoided the press like we were the plague. But not David Oyelowo. David frequently would hang out with us and you know, we have a couple of drinks with them and chat, and he just really could not be a nicer and more Personable person he is starring in a new movie that's out this weekend. It's called Peter Cottontail to the runaway. He plays kind of the bad guy was in pursuit. Of Peter Cottontail, Peter Rabbits, fortune, Peter Rabbit to, uh, the runaway. But I wanted to talk to him about how his life had changed. From the movie. Really? That put him on the map, Selma. It's definitely a before Selma after Selma situation for me, both as an actor, but also as a man, you know, to get to play. That kind of character in terms of what he represented and continues to represent. You cannot go through that experience without being changed in some way. I really started changing my wardrobe. I got into Chino tan pants. I loved tan pants because of this guy worked with white T shirts or a pink sweater. I tried to light blue sweater. Black was always my basic. I went to I worked with blacks suede shoes on a black suede belt. Stainless steel blackface watch once in a while because I was wearing the lighter colors like Pinker Tan. I wore brown suede shoes with a brown suede belt. It was perfection. Perfection, Salmon, Las Vegas and I'm feeling good and I'm starting to play with color and I figure you know, I like this part of my world. And do you remember purple? Jesse? Um, my gosh. That was amazing. So I'll tell the audience. What happened. We're on the elevator. I'm feeling good aware, my light purple sweater figure and I'm cool. I'm into color. So what happens is we go down. We're in the elevator. A few people in the elevator. We stopped at a floor and the elevators too crowded for the person. To come in. And right as the doors are about to close, all you hear from the person who was waiting to go on the elevator. All you hear is purple and the doors closed. Jared and I are hysterically laughing. People in the elevator were giggling. I was like one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life Purple. Well, there's a great example about trying too hard with color, so I went down to the main floor. All the boys will be right back. Went up to my room. Put on my black sweater came back down. Change my shoes. The black suede on I never wore purple again. You're ridiculous. As historical as that is, it's one time and you give up Well wasn't one time. You know, I've told this story before. I remember going to a very important dinner. I was representing my company. We were meeting with the then governor of New York Big dinner, a lot of people being honored and just so happened because of our connection. We were gonna go shake the gold in his hand and center, etcetera, etcetera. At the time we had a great shirt in a company called Chiana. It was a nylon knitted dress shirt is beautiful, silky looking. Had no business being that there's only one kind of dress shirts called white. That's called cotton. But leave it to me. I wore a light are in shirt with an orange and navy tie, and I went and I met the governor. Remember when he looked at me? Holy look to me. It just wasn't right. That night. I got home and we all had pictures. I had my picture with me and my wife and the governor. I looked at myself. Navy suit are in shirt navy in orange time. It said Since he had you let me leave the house like this. I look ridiculous. I can't believe I did this to myself. And I give you my word of honor That next day, I stood in front of the mirror throughout every single short ahead. That wasn't white. Wellness Only Resonates If You're Focussed On The Long Term
"Welcome to date thirteen of the lockdown here in Malaysia. I'm out in the hallway at the moment. Just for the scenery really is what happens when you get locked down for a couple of weeks and that quote the idea about wellness only resonating if your future focused was one that came from Jeremy McAfee recently and many of you will know. Jeremy is the group's Bob Director for Mandarin Oriental hotels and it was part of a bigger conversation about how wellness is really conceded. Something for the affluent and part of that reason. According to Jeremy is that people who are affluent can afford to be focused on the future. Those that are not affluent. Have to worry more about way next. Meal's coming from within rent check is gonNA come from and so the immediacy to them is just getting by where as those people that are. Affluent can afford to think more about the future more about the long term. And I think it's a really interesting point and I think it's probably a pretty fellow point too for that matter. And so if you WANNA get even more into this check out an article by Jeremy on medium recently where he talked about wellness being optional. And what he's saying there is that it's a choice. It's a choice as to how we want to. Allies lives and many people go through life not necessarily being focused on wellness. Still having a very happy very fulfilled and even a very long life as Jeremy says most people these days who live two hundred probably never practiced meditation or Yoga or Chakra balancing or any of the things that a lot of us in the wellness world would say are critical parts all of your wellness your wellness experience and just to throw in a little bit of a side night. And then I, you know, I've always heard of people sewing people for defamation in this. I understand what it means. Now at this because one accusation like this that might be false because he does have a rough past dying that right, but to have a rough pass, and if he's trying to in some ways trying to move past that somebody says that they're blowing up. Yeah. That's how you will never. Right. Exactly. So I get I now understand defamation. Yes. Chris Brown arrested in Paris on suspicion of rape
"Have another two days to decide whether to charge him or let him go. A twenty four wheels woman told investigators she met the artist early January sixteenth in Parisian nightclub.
